லேவியராகமம் அத்தியாயம் 20

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

பின்னும் நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலும் இஸ்ரவேலில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் எவனாகிலும் தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுத்தால், அவன் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் அவன்மேல் கல்லெறியவேண்டும்.

Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.

அவன் என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தி, என் பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்கும்படிக்கு, தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுத்ததினாலே, நான் அப்படிப்பட்டவனுக்கு விரோதமாக எதிர்த்து நின்று, அவனைத் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டு போகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.

அவன் தன் சந்ததியில் ஒரு பிள்ளையை மோளேகுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்போது, தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் அவனைக் கொலைசெய்யாதபடிக்குக் கண்சாடையாயிருந்தால்,

And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:

நான் அந்த மனிதனுக்கும் அவன் குடும்பத்துக்கும் விரோதமாக எதிர்த்து நின்று, அவனையும், அவன் பிறகே மோளேகை விபசாரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றின யாவரையும், தங்கள் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களையும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களையும் பின்தொடர்ந்து சோரம்போக எந்த ஆத்துமா அவர்களை நாடுகிறானோ, அந்த ஆத்துமாவுக்கு விரோதமாக எதிர்த்துநின்று, அவனைத் தன் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.

ஆதலால் நீங்கள் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்திப் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God.

என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்; நான் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர்.

And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you.

தன் தகப்பனையாவது தன் தாயையாவது சபிக்கிற எவனும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்; அவன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தன் தாயையும் சபித்தான், அவன் இரத்தப்பழி அவன்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

ஒருவன் பிறனுடைய மனைவியோடே விபசாரம் செய்தால், பிறன் மனைவியோடே விபசாரம் செய்த அந்த விபசாரனும் அந்த விபசாரியும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்.

And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

தன் தகப்பன் மனைவியோடே சயனிக்கிறவன் தன் தகப்பனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினபடியால், இருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

ஒருவன் தன் மருமகளோடே சயனித்தால், இருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அருவருப்பான தாறுமாறு பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them.

ஒருவன் பெண்ணோடே சம்யோகம்பண்ணுகிறதுபோல ஆணோடே சம்யோகம்பண்ணினால், அருவருப்பான காரியம் செய்த அவ்விருவரும் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவர்கள்; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

ஒருவன் ஒரு ஸ்திரீயையும் அவள் தாயையும் படைத்தால், அது முறைகேடு; இவ்வித முறைகேடு உங்களுக்குள் இராதபடிக்கு, அவனையும் அவர்களையும் அக்கினியில் சுட்டெரிக்கவேண்டும்.

And if a man take a wife and her mother, it is wickedness: they shall be burnt with fire, both he and they; that there be no wickedness among you.

ஒருவன் மிருகத்தோடே புணர்ந்தால், அவன் கொலைசெய்யப்படக்கடவன்; அந்த மிருகத்தையும் கொல்லக்கடவீர்கள்.

And if a man lie with a beast, he shall surely be put to death: and ye shall slay the beast.

ஒரு ஸ்திரீ யாதொரு மிருகத்தோடே சேர்ந்து சயனித்தால், அந்த ஸ்திரீயையும் அந்த மிருகத்தையும் கொல்லக்கடவாய்; இருஜீவனும் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; அவைகளின் இரத்தப்பழி அவைகளின்மேல் இருப்பதாக.

And if a woman approach unto any beast, and lie down thereto, thou shalt kill the woman, and the beast: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனுக்காவது தன் தாய்க்காவது குமாரத்தியாயிருக்கிற தன் சகோதரியைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவன் அவளுடைய நிர்வாணத்தையும், அவள் அவனுடைய நிர்வாணத்தையும் பார்த்தால், அது பாதகம்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் ஜனங்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக அறுப்புண்டு போகக்கடவர்கள்; அவன் தன் சகோதரியை நிர்வாணப்படுத்தினான்; அவன் தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பான்.

And if a man shall take his sister, his father's daughter, or his mother's daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it is a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister's nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

ஒருவன் சூதகஸ்திரீயோடே சயனித்து, அவளை நிர்வாணமாக்கினால், அவன் அவளுடைய உதிர ஊற்றைத் திறந்து, அவளும் தன் உதிர ஊற்றை வெளிப்படுத்தினபடியால், இருவரும் தங்கள் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோகவேண்டும்.

And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

உன் தாயினுடைய சகோதரியையும் உன் தகப்பனுடைய சகோதரியையும் நிர்வாணமாக்காயாக, அப்படிப்பட்டவன் தன் நெருங்கிய இனத்தை அவமானமாக்கினான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பார்கள்.

And thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister, nor of thy father's sister: for he uncovereth his near kin: they shall bear their iniquity.

ஒருவன் தன் தகப்பனின் சகோதரனுடைய மனைவியோடே சயனித்தால், அவன் தன் தகப்பனின் சகோதரனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினான்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் பாவத்தைச் சுமப்பார்கள், சந்தானமில்லாமல் சாவார்கள்.

And if a man shall lie with his uncle's wife, he hath uncovered his uncle's nakedness: they shall bear their sin; they shall die childless.

ஒருவன் தன் சகோதரன் மனைவியை விவாகம்பண்ணினால், அது அசுத்தம்; தன் சகோதரனை நிர்வாணமாக்கினான், அவர்கள் சந்தானமற்றிருப்பார்கள்.

And if a man shall take his brother's wife, it is an unclean thing: he hath uncovered his brother's nakedness; they shall be childless.

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் குடியிருப்பதற்காக நான் உங்களைக் கொண்டுபோகிற தேசம் உங்களைக் கக்கிப்போடாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் என் கட்டளைகள் யாவையும் என்னுடைய நியாயங்கள் யாவையும் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்.

Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.

நான் உங்களுக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடுகிற ஜனத்தினுடைய வழிபாடுகளில் நடவாதிருங்கள்; அவர்கள் இப்படிப்பட்ட காரியங்களையெல்லாம் செய்தபடியால் நான் அவர்களை அரோசித்தேன்.

And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.

நீங்கள் அவர்கள் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரிப்பீர்கள் என்று உங்களோடே சொன்னேன்; பாலும் தேனும் ஒடுகிற அந்த தேசத்தை உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன்; உங்களை மற்ற ஜனங்களை விட்டுப் பிரித்தெடுத்த உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே.

But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.

ஆகையால் சுத்தமான மிருகங்களுக்கும் அசுத்தமான மிருகங்களுக்கும், சுத்தமான பறவைகளுக்கும் அசுத்தமான பறவைகளுக்கும் நீங்கள் வித்தியாசம்பண்ணி, நான் உங்களுக்குத் தீட்டாக எண்ணச்சொல்லி விலக்கின மிருகங்களாலும் பறவைகளாலும் தரையிலே ஊருகிற யாதொரு பிராணிகளாலும் உங்களை அருவருப்பாக்காதிருப்பீர்களாக.

Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

கர்த்தராகிய நான் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே நீங்களும் எனக்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தவான்களாயிருப்பீர்களாக; நீங்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, உங்களை மற்ற ஜனங்களைவிட்டுப் பிரித்தெடுத்தேன்.

And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.

அஞ்சனம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும் குறிசொல்லுகிறவர்களுமாயிருக்கிற புருஷனாகிலும் ஸ்திரீயாகிலும் கொலைசெய்யப்படவேண்டும்; அவர்கள்மேல் கல்லெறிவார்களாக; அவர்கள் இரத்தப்பழி அவர்கள்மேல் இருக்கக்கடவது என்று சொல் என்றார்.

A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

லேவியராகமம் அத்தியாயம் 21

பின்பு கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: ஆரோனின் குமாரராகிய ஆசாரியர்களில் ஒருவனும் தன் ஜனத்தாரில் இறந்துபோன யாதொருவருக்காகத் தங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தலாகாதென்று அவர்களோடே சொல்.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the dead among his people:

தன் தாயும், தன் தகப்பனும், தன் குமாரனும், தன் குமாரத்தியும், தன் சகோதரனும்,

But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,

புருஷனுக்கு வாழ்க்கைப்படாமல் தன்னிடத்திலிருக்கிற கன்னியாஸ்திரீயான தன் சகோதரியுமாகிய தனக்கு நெருங்கிய இனமான இவர்களுடைய சாவுக்காகத் தீட்டுப்படலாம்.

And for his sister a virgin, that is nigh unto him, which hath had no husband; for her may he be defiled.

தன் ஜனத்தாரில் பெரியவனாகிய அவன் வேறொருவருக்காகவும் தன்னைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கித் தீட்டுப்படுத்தலாகாது.

But he shall not defile himself, being a chief man among his people, to profane himself.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் தலையை மொட்டையடிக்காமலும், தங்கள் தாடியின் ஓரங்களைச் சிரைத்துப்போடாமலும், தங்கள் தேகத்தைக் கீறிக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருப்பார்களாக.

They shall not make baldness upon their head, neither shall they shave off the corner of their beard, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

தங்கள் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காமல் அவருக்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தராயிருப்பார்களாக; அவர்கள் கர்த்தரின் தகனபலிகளையும் தங்கள் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தையும் செலுத்துகிறவர்களாதலால் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

They shall be holy unto their God, and not profane the name of their God: for the offerings of the LORD made by fire, and the bread of their God, they do offer: therefore they shall be holy.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவனுக்குப் பரிசுத்தமானவர்கள், ஆகையால் வேசியையாகிலும் கற்புக்குலைந்தவளையாகிலும் விவாகம்பண்ணார்களாக; தன் புருஷனாலே தள்ளப்பட்ட ஸ்திரீயையும் விவாகம்பண்ணார்களாக.

They shall not take a wife that is a whore, or profane; neither shall they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy unto his God.

அவன் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தைச் செலுத்துகிறபடியால் நீ அவனைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தவேண்டும்; உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தராகிய நான் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிறபடியால், அவனும் உனக்கு முன்பாகப் பரிசுத்தனாயிருப்பானாக.

Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy.

ஆசாரியனுடைய குமாரத்தி, வேசித்தனம்பண்ணி, தன்னைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கினால், அவள் தன் தகப்பனையும் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்குகிறாள்; அவள் அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரிக்கப்படக்கடவள்.

And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire.

தன் சகோதரருக்குள்ளே பிரதான ஆசாரியனாக தன் சிரசில் அபிஷேகதைலம் வார்க்கப்பட்டவனும், அவனுக்குரிய வஸ்திரங்களைத் தரிக்கும்படி பிரதிஷ்டை பண்ணப்பட்டவனுமாயிருக்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவன் தன் பாகையை எடுக்காமலும், தன் வஸ்திரங்களைக் கிழித்துக்கொள்ளாமலும்,

And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

பிரேதம் கிடக்கும் இடத்தில் போகாமலும், தன் தகப்பனுக்காகவும் தன் தாய்க்காகவும் தன்னைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளாமலும்,

Neither shall he go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother;

பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து புறப்படாமலும் தன் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காமலும் இருப்பானாக; அவனுடைய தேவனின் அபிஷேகதைலம் என்னும் கிரீடம் அவன்மேல் இருக்கிறதே: நான் கர்த்தர்.

Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.

கன்னிகையாயிருக்கிற பெண்ணை அவன் விவாகம்பண்ணவேண்டும்.

And he shall take a wife in her virginity.

விதவையையானாலும் தள்ளப்பட்டவளையானாலும் கற்புக்குலைந்தவளையானாலும் வேசியையானாலும் விவாகம்பண்ணாமல், தன் ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒரு கன்னிகையை விவாகம்பண்ணக்கடவன்.

A widow, or a divorced woman, or profane, or an harlot, these shall he not take: but he shall take a virgin of his own people to wife.

அவன் தன் வித்தைத் தன் ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காமல் இருப்பானாக; நான் அவனைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

Neither shall he profane his seed among his people: for I the LORD do sanctify him.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

நீ ஆரோனோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: உன் சந்ததியாருக்குள்ளே அங்கவீனமுள்ளவன் தலைமுறைதோறும் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தைச் செலுத்தும்படி சேரலாகாது.

Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God.

அங்கவீனமுள்ள ஒருவனும் அணுகலாகாது; குருடனானாலும், சப்பாணியானாலும், குறுகின அல்லது நீண்ட அவயவமுள்ளவனானாலும்,

For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous,

காலொடிந்தவனானாலும், கையொடிந்தவனானாலும்,

Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,

கூனனானாலும், குள்ளனானாலும், பூவிழுந்த கண்ணனானாலும், சொறியனானாலும், அசறுள்ளவனானாலும், விதை நசுங்கினவனானாலும் அணுகலாகாது.

Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;

ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் சந்ததியாரில் அங்கவீனமுள்ள ஒருவனும் கர்த்தரின் தகனபலிகளைச் செலுத்தச் சேரலாகாது; அவன் அங்கவீனமுள்ளவனாகையால், அவன் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தைச் செலுத்தச் சேரலாகாது.

No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God.

அவன் தன் தேவனுடைய அப்பமாகிய மகா பரிசுத்தமானவைகளிலும் மற்ற பரிசுத்தமானவைகளிலும் புசிக்கலாம்.

He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy.

ஆனாலும் அவன் அங்கவீனமுள்ளவனாகையால், அவன் என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலங்களைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காதபடிக்குத் திரைக்குள்ளே போகாமலும் பலிபீடத்தண்டையில் சேராமலும் இருப்பானாக; நான் அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.

மோசே இவைகளை ஆரோனோடும் அவன் குமாரரோடும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அனைவரோடும் சொன்னான்.

And Moses told it unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எனக்கென்று நியமித்துச் செலுத்துகிற பரிசுத்த வஸ்துக்களைக்குறித்து ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் என் பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாய் இருக்கவேண்டும் என்று அவர்களோடே சொல்; நான் கர்த்தர்.

Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the LORD.

அன்றியும் நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்கள் தலைமுறைகளிலுள்ள சந்ததியாரில் எவனாகிலும் தான் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருக்கும்போது, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் கர்த்தருக்கு நியமித்துச் செலுத்துகிற பரிசுத்தமானவைகளண்டையில் சேர்ந்தால், அந்த ஆத்துமா என் சந்நிதியில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டுபோவான் என்று சொல்; நான் கர்த்தர்.

Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from my presence: I am the LORD.

ஆரோனின் சந்ததியாரில் எவன் குஷ்டரோகியோ, எவன் பிரமியமுள்ளவனோ, அவன் சுத்தமாகும்மட்டும் பரிசுத்தமானவைகளில் புசிக்கலாகாது; பிணத்தினாலே தீட்டானவைகளில் எதையாகிலும் தொட்டவனும், இந்திரியங்கழிந்தவனும்,

What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him;

தீட்டுப்படுத்துகிற யாதொரு ஊரும் பிராணியையாகிலும் தீட்டுள்ள மனிதனையாகிலும் தொட்டவனும்,

Or whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath;

சாயங்காலம்மட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்; அவன் ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணும்வரைக்கும் பரிசுத்தமானவைகளில் புசிக்கலாகாது.

The soul which hath touched any such shall be unclean until even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he wash his flesh with water.

சூரியன் அஸ்தமித்தபின்பு சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்; அதன்பின்பு அவன் பரிசுத்தமானவைகளில் புசிக்கலாம்; அது அவனுடைய ஆகாரம்.

And when the sun is down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things; because it is his food.

That which dieth of itself, or is torn with beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the LORD.

ஆகையால் பரிசுத்தமானதை அவர்கள் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்குகிறதினாலே, பாவம் சுமந்து அதினிமித்தம் சாகாதபடிக்கு, என் கட்டளையைக் காக்கக்கடவர்கள்; நான் அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர்.

They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them.

அந்நியன் ஒருவனும் பரிசுத்தமானவைகளில் புசிக்கலாகாது; ஆசாரியன் வீட்டில் தங்கியிருக்கிறவனும் கூலிவேலை செய்கிறவனும் பரிசுத்தமானதில் புசிக்கலாகாது.

There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.

ஆசாரியனால் பணத்துக்குக் கொள்ளப்பட்டவனும், அவன் வீட்டிலே பிறந்தவனும் அவனுடைய ஆகாரத்தில் புசிக்கலாம்.

But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat.

ஆசாரியனுடைய குமாரத்தி அந்நியனுக்கு வாழ்க்கைப்பட்டால், அவள் பரிசுத்தமானவைகளின் படைப்பிலே புசிக்கலாகாது.

If the priest's daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things.

விதவையாய்ப்போன, அல்லது தள்ளப்பட்டவளான ஆசாரியனுடைய குமாரத்தி பிள்ளையில்லாதிருந்து, தன் தகப்பன் வீட்டில் தன்னுடைய இளவயதில் இருந்ததுபோல திரும்பவந்து இருந்தாளேயாகில், அவள் தன் தகப்பன் ஆகாரத்தில் புசிக்கலாம்; அந்நியனாகிய ஒருவனும் அதில் புசிக்கலாகாது.

But if the priest's daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father's house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father's meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.

ஒருவன் அறியாமல் பரிசுத்தமானதில் புசித்ததுண்டானால், அவன் அதிலே ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கு அதிகமாய்க் கூட்டி பரிசுத்தமானவைகளோடுங்கூட ஆசாரியனுக்குக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்.

And if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing.

அவர்கள் கர்த்தருக்குப் படைக்கிற இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பரிசுத்தமானவைகளைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்காமலும்,

And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD;

அவைகளைப் புசிக்கிறதினால் அவர்கள்மேல் குற்றமான அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமரப்பண்ணாமலும் இருப்பார்களாக; நான் அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctify them.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

நீ ஆரோனோடும் அவன் குமாரரோடும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அனைவரோடும் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரிலும் இஸ்ரவேலில் தங்குகிற அந்நியர்களிலும் தங்களுடைய பொருத்தனைகளின்படியாகிலும் உற்சாகத்தின்படியாகிலும் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளாகக் கர்த்தருக்குத் தங்கள் காணிக்கையை எவர்கள் செலுத்தப்போகிறார்களோ,

Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering;

அவர்கள் தங்கள் மனதின்படியே மாடுகளிலாகிலும் ஆடுகளிலாகிலும் வெள்ளாடுகளிலாகிலும் பழுதற்ற ஒரு ஆணைப் பிடித்துவந்து செலுத்துவார்களாக.

Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats.

பழுதுள்ள ஒன்றையும் செலுத்தவேண்டாம்; அது உங்கள்நிமித்தம் அங்கிகரிக்கப்படுவதில்லை.

But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you.

ஒருவன் விசேஷித்த பொருத்தனையாயாவது, உற்சாகமாயாவது, கர்த்தருக்கு மாடுகளிலாகிலும் ஆடுகளிலாகிலும் சமாதானபலிகளைச் செலுத்தப்போனால், அது அங்கிகரிக்கப்படும்படி, ஒரு பழுதுமில்லாமல் உத்தமமாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein.

குருடு, நெரிசல், முடம், கழலை, சொறி, புண் முதலிய பழுதுள்ளவைகளை நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தாமலும், அவைகளாலே கர்த்தருக்குப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனபலியிடாமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக.

Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD.

நீண்ட அல்லது குறுகின அவயவமுள்ள மாட்டையும் ஆட்டையும் நீ உற்சாகபலியாக இடலாம்; பொருத்தனைக்காக அது அங்கிகரிக்கப்படமாட்டாது.

Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted.

விதை நசுங்கினதையும் நொறுங்கினதையும் காயம்பட்டதையும் விதை அறுக்கப்பட்டதையும் நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தாமலும், அவைகளை உங்கள் தேசத்தில் பலியிடாமலும் இருப்பீர்களாக.

Ye shall not offer unto the LORD that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; neither shall ye make any offering thereof in your land.

அந்நிய புத்திரன் கையிலும் இப்படிப்பட்டதை வாங்கி, தேவனுக்கு அப்பமாகச் செலுத்தீர்களாக; அவைகளின் கேடும் பழுதும் அவைகளில் இருக்கிறது; அவைகள் உங்களுக்காக அங்கிகரிக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்று சொல் என்றார்.

Neither from a stranger's hand shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, and blemishes be in them: they shall not be accepted for you.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

ஒரு கன்றாவது செம்மறியாட்டுக்குட்டியாவது வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியாவது பிறந்தால், அது ஏழுநாள் தன் தாயினிடத்தில் இருக்கக்கடவது; எட்டாம் நாள் முதல் அது கர்த்தருக்குத் தகனபலியாக அங்கிகரிக்கப்படும்.

When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

பசுவையும் அதின் கன்றையும், ஆட்டையும் அதின் குட்டியையும் ஒரே நாளில் கொல்லவேண்டாம்.

And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day.

கர்த்தருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரபலியைச் செலுத்துவீர்களானால் மனப்பூர்வமாய் அதைச் செலுத்துவீர்களாக.

And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will.

அந்நாளிலேதான் அது புசிக்கப்படவேண்டும்; விடியற்காலம்மட்டும் நீங்கள் அதில் ஒன்றும் மீதியாக வைக்கவேண்டாம்; நான் கர்த்தர்.

On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the LORD.

நீங்கள் என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு, அவைகளின்படி செய்யக்கடவீர்கள்; நான் கர்த்தர்.

Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD.

என் பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்காதிருப்பீர்களாக; நான் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் நடுவே பரிசுத்தர் என்று மதிக்கப்படுவேன்; நான் உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற கர்த்தர்.

Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you,

நான் உங்களுக்கு தேவனாயிருப்பதற்காக, உங்களை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினேன்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.

லூக்கா அத்தியாயம் 12

அத்தருணத்திலே அநேகமாயிரம் ஜனங்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் மிதிக்கத்தக்கதாகக் கூடிவந்திருக்கையில், அவர் முதலாவது தம்முடைய சீஷரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மாயமாகிய பரிசேயருடைய புளித்தமாவைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.

In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

வெளியாக்கப்படாத மறைபொருளுமில்லை, அறியப்படாத இரகசியமுமில்லை.

For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

ஆதலால், நீங்கள் இருளிலே பேசினது எதுவோ, அது வெளிச்சத்திலே கேட்கப்படும்; நீங்கள் அறைகளில் காதிலே சொன்னது எதுவோ, அது வீடுகளின்மேல் கூறப்படும்.

Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

என் சிநேகிதராகிய உங்களுக்கு நான் சொல்லுகிறேன்: சரீரத்தைக் கொலைசெய்து, அதன்பின்பு அதிகமாக ஒன்றும் செய்யத் திராணியில்லாதவர்களுக்குப் பயப்படாதிருங்கள்.

And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

நீங்கள் இன்னாருக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டுமென்று உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிக்கிறேன்: கொலைசெய்தபின்பு நரகத்திலேதள்ள வல்லமையுள்ளவருக்குப் பயப்படுங்கள்; ஆம், அவருக்கே பயப்படுங்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

இரண்டு காசுக்கு ஐந்து அடைக்கலான் குருவிகளை விற்கிறார்களல்லவா? அவைகளில் ஒன்றாகிலும் தேவனால் மறக்கப்படுவதில்லை.

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

உங்கள் தலையிலுள்ள மயிரெல்லாம் எண்ணப்பட்டிருக்கிறது, ஆகையால் பயப்படாதிருங்கள், அநேகம் அடைக்கலான் குருவிகளைப்பார்க்கிலும், நீங்கள் விசேஷித்தவர்களாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

அன்றியும் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்: மனுஷர் முன்பாக என்னை அறிக்கைப்பண்ணுகிறவன் எவனோ, அவனை மனுஷகுமாரனும் தேவதூதர் முன்பாக அறிக்கைபண்ணுவார்.

Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God:

மனுஷர் முன்பாக என்னை மறுதலிக்கிறவன் தேவதூதர் முன்பாக மறுதலிக்கப்படுவான்.

But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

எவனாகிலும் மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கு விரோதமான விசேஷத்தைச் சொன்னால் அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்; பரிசுத்த ஆவிக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தூஷணஞ்சொல்லுகிறவனுக்கோ மன்னிக்கப்படுவதில்லை.

And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.

அன்றியும், ஜெப ஆலயத்தலைவர்களுக்கும் துரைத்தனத்தார்களுக்கும் அதிகாரமுள்ளவர்களுக்கும் முன்பாக உங்களைக் கொண்டுபோய்விடும்போது: எப்படி, என்னத்தை மாறுத்தரமாகச் சொல்லுவோம் என்றும், எதைப் பேசுவோம் என்றும் கவலைப்படாதிருங்கள்.

And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

நீங்கள் பேசவேண்டியவைகளைப் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் அந்நேரத்திலே உங்களுக்குப் போதிப்பார் என்றார்.

For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.

அப்பொழுது ஜனக்கூட்டத்தில் ஒருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: போதகரே, ஆஸ்தியைப் பாகம்பிரித்து என் வீதத்தை எனக்குத்தரும்படி என் சகோதரனுக்குக் கட்டளையிடவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுக்கொண்டான்.

And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.

அதற்கு அவர்: மனுஷனே, என்னை உங்களுக்கு நியாயாதிபதியாகவும் பங்கிடுகிறவனாகவும் வைத்தவன் யார் என்றார்.

And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you?

பின்பு அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: பொருளாசையைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்; ஏனெனில் ஒருவனுக்கு எவ்வளவு திரளான ஆஸ்தி இருந்தாலும் அது அவனுக்கு ஜீவன் அல்ல என்றார்.

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

அல்லாமலும், ஒரு உவமையை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்: ஐசுவரியமுள்ள ஒருவனுடைய நிலம் நன்றாய் விளைந்தது.

And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:

அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் என்ன செய்வேன்? என் தானியங்களைச் சேர்த்துவைக்கிறதற்கு இடமில்லையே;

And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?

நான் ஒன்று செய்வேன், என் களஞ்சியங்களை இடித்து, பெரிதாகக் கட்டி, எனக்கு விளைந்த தானியத்தையும் என் பொருள்களையும் அங்கே சேர்த்துவைத்து,

And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.

பின்பு: ஆத்துமாவே, உனக்காக அநேக வருஷங்களுக்கு அநேகம் பொருள்கள் சேர்த்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; நீ இளைப்பாறி, புசித்துக் குடித்து, பூரிப்பாயிரு என்று என் ஆத்துமாவோடே சொல்லுவேன் என்று தனக்குள்ளே சிந்தித்துச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டான்.

And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

தேவனோ அவனை நோக்கி: மதிகேடனே, உன் ஆத்துமா உன்னிடத்திலிருந்து இந்த இராத்திரியிலே எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படும், அப்பொழுது நீ சேகரித்தவைகள் யாருடையதாகும் என்றார்.

But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

தேவனிடத்தில் ஐசுவரியவானாயிராமல், தனக்காகவே பொக்கிஷங்களைச் சேர்த்துவைக்கிறவன் இப்படியே இருக்கிறான் என்றார்.

So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

பின்னும் அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷரை நோக்கி: இப்படியிருக்கிறபடியினால், என்னத்தை உண்போம் என்று உங்கள் ஜீவனுக்காகவும், என்னத்தை உடுப்போம் என்று உங்கள் சரீரத்துக்காகவும் கவலைப்படாதிருங்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

ஆகாரத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஜீவனும், உடையைப்பார்க்கிலும் சரீரமும் விசேஷித்தவைகளாயிருக்கிறது.

The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.

காகங்களைக் கவனித்துப்பாருங்கள், அவைகள் விதைக்கிறதுமில்லை அறுக்கிறதுமில்லை, அவைகளுக்குப் பண்டசாலையுமில்லை, களஞ்சியமுமில்லை, இல்லாவிட்டாலும் அவைகளையும் தேவன் பிழைப்பூட்டுகிறார்; பறவைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் நீங்கள் எவ்வளவோ விசேஷித்தவர்களாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

கவலைப்படுகிறதினால் உங்களில் எவன் தன் சரீர அளவோடு ஒரு முழத்தைக் கூட்டுவான்.

And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

மிகவும் அற்பமான காரியமுதலாய் உங்களால் செய்யக்கூடாதிருக்க, மற்றவைகளுக்காக நீங்கள் கவலைப்படுகிறதென்ன?

If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest?

காட்டுப்புஷ்பங்கள் எப்படி வளருகிறதென்று கவனித்துப்பாருங்கள்; அவைகள் உழைக்கிறதுமில்லை, நூற்கிறதுமில்லை, என்றாலும் சாலொமோன் முதலாய்த் தன் சர்வமகிமையிலும் அவைகளில் ஒன்றைப்போலாகிலும் உடுத்தியிருந்ததில்லை என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

இப்படியிருக்க, அற்பவிசுவாசிகளே, இன்றைக்குக் காட்டிலிருந்து நாளைக்கு அடுப்பிலே போடப்படுகிற புல்லுக்கு தேவன் இவ்விதமாக உடுத்துவித்தால், உங்களுக்கு உடுத்துவிப்பது அதிக நிச்சயமல்லவா?

If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

ஆகையால், என்னத்தை உண்போம், என்னத்தைக் குடிப்போம் என்று, நீங்கள் கேளாமலும் சந்தேகப்படாமலும் இருங்கள்.

And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind.

இவைகளையெல்லாம் உலகத்தார் நாடித் தேடுகிறார்கள்; இவைகள் உங்களுக்கு வேண்டியவைகளென்று உங்கள் பிதாவானவர் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்.

For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தையே தேடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது இவைகளெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குக் கூடக் கொடுக்கப்படும்.

But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.

பயப்படாதே சிறுமந்தையே, உங்களுக்கு ராஜ்யத்தைக் கொடுக்க உங்கள் பிதா பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.

Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

உங்களுக்கு உள்ளவைகளை விற்றுப் பிச்சைகொடுங்கள், பழமையாய்ப் போகாத பணப்பைகளையும் குறையாத பொக்கிஷத்தையும் பரலோகத்திலே உங்களுக்குச் சம்பாதித்து வையுங்கள், அங்கே திருடன் அணுகுகிறதுமில்லை, பூச்சி கெடுக்கிறதுமில்லை.

Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.

உங்கள் பொக்கிஷம் எங்கே இருக்கிறதோ அங்கே உங்கள் இருதயமும் இருக்கும்.

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

உங்கள் அரைகள் கட்டப்பட்டதாகவும், உங்கள் விளக்குகள் எரிகிறதாகவும்,

Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;

தங்கள் எஜமான் கலியாணத்திலிருந்து வந்து தட்டும்போது, உடனே அவருக்குத் திறக்கும்படி எப்பொழுது வருவார் என்று காத்திருக்கிற மனுஷருக்கு ஒப்பாகவும் இருங்கள்.

And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

எஜமான் வரும்போது, விழித்திருக்கிறவர்களாகக் காணப்படுகிற ஊழியக்காரரே பாக்கியவான்கள். அவர் அரைகட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவர்களைப் பந்தியிருக்கச்செய்து, சமீபமாய் வந்து, அவர்களுக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்வார் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.

அவர் இரண்டாம் ஜாமத்திலாவது மூன்றாம் ஜாமத்திலாவது வந்து, அவர்கள் அப்படியே இருக்கக்கண்டால், அவ்வூழியக்காரர் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

திருடன் இன்னநேரத்தில் வருவான் என்று வீட்டெஜமானுக்குத் தெரிந்திருந்தால், அவன் விழித்திருந்து, தன் வீட்டைக் கன்னமிடவொட்டான் என்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

அந்தப்படியே நீங்கள் நினையாத நேரத்தில் மனுஷகுமாரன் வருவார், ஆகையால் நீங்களும் ஆயத்தமாயிருங்கள் என்றார்.

Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.

அப்பொழுது பேதுரு அவரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, இந்த உவமையை எங்களுக்கு மாத்திரம் சொல்லுகிறீரோ, எல்லாருக்கும் சொல்லுகிறீரோ என்று கேட்டான்.

Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?

அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: பணிவிடைக்காரருக்குத் தகுதியான காலத்திலே படிகொடுக்கும்படி எஜமான் அவர்கள்மேல் அதிகாரியாக வைக்கத்தக்க உண்மையும் விவேகமுமுள்ள விசாரணைக்காரன் யாவன்?

And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?

எஜமான் வரும்போது அப்படியே செய்கிறவனாய்க் காணப்படுகிற ஊழியக்காரன் பாக்கியவான்.

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

தனக்குள்ளதெல்லாவற்றின்மேலும் அவனை விசாரணைக்காரனாக வைப்பான் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.

அந்த ஊழியக்காரனோ, என் எஜமான் வர நாள் செல்லும் என்று தனக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டு, வேலைக்காரரையும் வேலைக்காரிகளையும் அடிக்கவும், புசித்துக் குடித்து வெறிக்கவும் தலைப்பட்டால்,

But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

அவன் நினையாத நாளிலும், அறியாத நேரத்திலும், அந்த ஊழியக்காரனுடைய எஜமான் வந்து, அவனைக் கடினமாய்த் தண்டித்து, உண்மையில்லாதவர்களோடே அவனுக்குப் பங்கை நியமிப்பான்.

The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

தன் எஜமானுடைய சித்தத்தை அறிந்தும் ஆயத்தமாயிராமலும் அவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்யாமலும் இருந்த ஊழியக்காரன் அநேக அடிகள் அடிக்கப்படுவான்.

And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.

அறியாதவனாயிருந்து, அடிகளுக்கு ஏதுவானவைகளைச் செய்தவனோ, சில அடிகள் அடிக்கப்படுவான். எவனிடத்தில் அதிகங்கொடுக்கப்படுகிறதோ அவனிடத்தில் அதிகங்கேட்கப்படும்; மனுஷர் எவனிடத்தில் அதிகமாய் ஒப்புவிக்கிறார்களோ அவனிடத்தில் அதிகமாய்க் கேட்பார்கள்.

But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

பூமியின்மேல் அக்கினியைப் போடவந்தேன், அது இப்பொழுதே பற்றி எரியவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறேன்.

I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?

ஆகிலும் நான் முழுகவேண்டிய ஒரு ஸ்நானமுண்டு, அது முடியுமளவும் எவ்வளவோ நெருக்கப்படுகிறேன்.

But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished!

நான் பூமியிலே சமாதானத்தை உண்டாக்கவந்தேன் என்று நினைக்கிறீர்களோ? சமாதானத்தையல்ல, பிரிவினையையே உண்டாக்கவந்தேன் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

எப்படியெனில், இதுமுதல் ஒரே வீட்டிலே ஐந்துபேர் பிரிந்திருப்பார்கள், இரண்டுபேருக்கு விரோதமாய் மூன்றுபேரும், மூன்றுபேருக்கு விரோதமாய் இரண்டுபேரும் பிரிந்திருப்பார்கள்.

For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.

தகப்பன் மகனுக்கும் மகன் தகப்பனுக்கும், தாய் மகளுக்கும் மகள் தாய்க்கும், மாமி மருமகளுக்கும் மருமகள் மாமிக்கும் விரோதமாய்ப் பிரிந்திருப்பார்கள் என்றார்.

The father shall be divided against the son, and the son against the father; the mother against the daughter, and the daughter against the mother; the mother in law against her daughter in law, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

பின்பு அவர் ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: மேற்கே மேகம் எழும்புகிறதை நீங்கள் காணும்போது, மழை வருமென்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள்; அந்தப்படியுமாகும்.

And he said also to the people, When ye see a cloud rise out of the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it is.

தென்றல் அடிக்கிறதை நீங்கள் காணும்போது உஷ்ணம் உண்டாகுமென்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள், அந்தப் படியுமாகும்.

And when ye see the south wind blow, ye say, There will be heat; and it cometh to pass.

மாயக்காரரே, பூமியின் தோற்றத்தையும் வானத்தின் தோற்றத்தையும் நிதானிக்க உங்களுக்குத் தெரியுமே, இந்தக் காலத்தையோ நிதானியாமற்போகிறதென்ன?

Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

நியாயம் இன்னதென்று நீங்களே தீர்மானியாமலிருக்கிறதென்ன?

Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

உனக்கு எதிராளியானவன் உன்னை அதிகாரியினிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோகிறபோது, வழியிலேதானே அவனிடத்திலிருந்து விடுதலையாகும்படி பிரயாசப்படு, இல்லாவிட்டால், அவன் உன்னை நியாயாதிபதிக்கு முன்பாகக் கொண்டுபோவான், நியாயாதிபதி உன்னைச் சேவகனிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பான், சேவகன் உன்னைச் சிறைசாலையில் போடுவான்.

When thou goest with thine adversary to the magistrate, as thou art in the way, give diligence that thou mayest be delivered from him; lest he hale thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and the officer cast thee into prison.

நீ கடைசிக்காசைக் கொடுத்துத் தீர்க்குமட்டும், அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து புறப்படமாட்டாய் என்று உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

I tell thee, thou shalt not depart thence, till thou hast paid the very last mite.
