யோபு அத்தியாயம் 33

யோபே, என் நியாயங்களைக் கேளும்; என் வார்த்தைகளுக்கெல்லாம் செவிகொடும்.

Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

இதோ, என் வாயை இப்போது திறந்தேன்; என் வாயிலிருக்கிற என் நாவானது பேசும்.

Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

என் வார்த்தைகள் என் இருதயத்தின் உண்மைக்கு ஒத்திருக்கும்; நான் அறிந்ததை என் உதடுகள் சுத்தமாய் வசனிக்கும்.

My words shall be of the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

தேவனுடைய ஆவியானவர் என்னை உண்டாக்கினார்; சர்வவல்லவருடைய சுவாசம் எனக்கு உயிர்கொடுத்தது.

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

உம்மாலே கூடுமானால் எனக்கு மறுமொழி கொடும்; நீர் ஆயத்தப்பட்டு எனக்கு எதிராக நில்லும்.

If thou canst answer me, set thy words in order before me, stand up.

இதோ, உம்மைப்போல நானும் தேவனால் உண்டானவன்; நானும் மண்ணினால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டவன்.

Behold, I am according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.

இதோ, நீர் எனக்குப் பயப்பட்டுக் கலங்கத் தேவையில்லை; என் கை உம்மேல் பாரமாயிருக்கமாட்டாது.

Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

நான் காதாரக் கேட்க நீர் சொன்னதும், எனக்குக் கேள்வியான உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளின் சத்தமும் என்னவென்றால்:

Surely thou hast spoken in mine hearing, and I have heard the voice of thy words, saying,

நான் மீறுதல் இல்லாத சுத்தன், நான் குற்றமற்றவன், என்னில் அக்கிரமமில்லை.

I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.

இதோ, என்னில் அவர் குற்றம்பிடிக்கப்பார்க்கிறார், என்னைத் தமக்குச் சத்துருவாக எண்ணிக்கொள்ளுகிறார்.

Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,

அவர் என் கால்களைத் தொழுவிலே மாட்டி, என் நடைகளையெல்லாம் காவல்படுத்துகிறார் என்று சொன்னீர்.

He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

இதிலே நீர் நீதியுள்ளவர் அல்லவென்று உமக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாகச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; மனுஷனைப்பார்க்கிலும் தேவன் பெரியவராயிருக்கிறார்.

Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.

அவர் தம்முடைய செயல்கள் எல்லாவற்றையுங்குறித்துக் காரணம் சொல்லவில்லையென்று நீர் அவரோடே ஏன் வழக்காடுகிறீர்?

Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

தேவன் ஒருவிசை சொல்லியிருக்கிற காரியத்தை இரண்டாம்விசை பார்த்துத் திருத்துகிறவரல்லவே.

For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.

கனநித்திரை மனுஷர்மேல் இறங்கி, அவர்கள் படுக்கையின்மேல் அயர்ந்திருக்கையில்,

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

அவர் இராக்காலத்துத் தரிசனமான சொப்பனத்திலே மனுஷருடைய செவிக்குத் தாம் செய்யும் காரியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தி, அதை அவர்களுக்கு வரும் தண்டனையினாலே முத்திரைபோட்டு,

Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

மனுஷன் தன்னுடைய செய்கையைவிட்டு நீங்கவும், மனுஷருடைய பெருமை அடங்கவும் செய்கிறார்.

That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

இவ்விதமாய் அவன் ஆத்துமாவைப் படுகுழிக்கும், அவன் ஜீவனைப் பட்டய வெட்டுக்கும் தப்புவிக்கிறார்.

He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

அவன் தன் படுக்கையிலே வாதையினாலும், தன் சகல எலும்புகளிலும் அகோரமான நோவினாலும் தண்டிக்கப்படுகிறான்.

He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain:

அவன் ஜீவன் அப்பத்தையும், அவன் ஆத்துமா ருசிகரமான போஜனத்தையும் அரோசிக்கும்.

So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.

அவன் மாம்சம் காணப்படாதபடிக்கு அழிந்து, மூடப்பட்டிருந்த அவன் எலும்புகள் வெளிப்படுகிறது.

His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.

அவன் ஆத்துமா பாதாளத்துக்கும், அவன் பிராணன் சாவுக்கும் சமீபிக்கிறது.

Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

ஆயிரத்தில் ஒருவராகிய சாமாசிபண்ணுகிற தூதனானவர் மனுஷனுக்குத் தம்முடைய நிதானத்தை அறிவிக்கும்படிக்கு, அவனுக்கு அநுசாரியாயிருந்தாரேயாகில்,

If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:

அவர் அவனுக்கு இரங்கி, அவன் படுகுழியில் இறங்காதபடிக்கு: நீர் அவனை இரட்சியும்; மீட்கும் பொருளை நான் கண்டுபிடித்தேன் என்பார்.

Then he is gracious unto him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

அப்பொழுது அவன் மாம்சம் வாலிபத்தில் இருந்ததைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஆரோக்கியமடையும்; தன் வாலவயது நாட்களுக்குத் திரும்புவான்.

His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he shall return to the days of his youth:

அவன் தேவனை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணும்போது, அவன் அவருடைய சமுகத்தைக் கெம்பீரத்தோடே பார்க்கும்படி அவர் அவன்மேல் பிரியமாகி, அந்த மனுஷனுக்கு அவனுடைய நீதியின் பலனைக் கொடுப்பார்.

He shall pray unto God, and he will be favourable unto him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render unto man his righteousness.

அவன் மனுஷரை நோக்கிப் பார்த்து: நான் பாவஞ்செய்து செம்மையானதைப் புரட்டினேன், அது எனக்குப் பிரயோஜனமாயிருக்கவில்லை.

He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;

என் ஆத்துமா படுகுழியில் இறங்காதபடி, அவர் அதை இரட்சிப்பார்; ஆகையால் என் பிராணன் வெளிச்சத்தைக் காணும் என்று சொல்லுவான்.

He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

இதோ, தேவன் மனுஷனுடைய ஆத்துமாவைப் படுகுழிக்கு விலக்குகிறதற்கும், அவனை ஜீவனுள்ளோரின் வெளிச்சத்தினாலே பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிறதற்கும்,

Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,

அவர் இவைகளையெல்லாம் அவனிடத்தில் பலமுறை நடப்பிக்கிறார்.

To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

யோபே, நீர் கவனித்து என் சொல்லைக் கேளும்; நான் பேசப்போகிறேன், நீர் மவுனமாயிரும்.

Mark well, O Job, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.

சொல்லத்தக்க நியாயங்கள் இருந்ததேயானால், எனக்கு மறுஉத்தரவு கொடும்; நீர் பேசும், உம்மை நீதிமானாகத் தீர்க்க எனக்கு ஆசையுண்டு.

If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.

ஒன்றும் இல்லாதிருந்ததேயாகில் நீர் என் சொல்லைக் கேளும், மவுனமாயிரும், நான் உமக்கு ஞானத்தை உபதேசிப்பேன் என்றான்.

If not, hearken unto me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.

யோபு அத்தியாயம் 34

பின்னும் எலிகூ மாறுத்தரமாக:

Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

ஞானிகளே, என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; அறிவாளிகளே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.

Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

வாயானது போஜனத்தை ருசிபார்க்கிறதுபோல, செவியானது வார்த்தைகளைச் சோதித்துப்பார்க்கும்.

For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

நமக்காக நியாயமானதைத் தெரிந்துகொள்வோமாக; நன்மை இன்னதென்று நமக்குள்ளே அறிந்துகொள்வோமாக.

Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

யோபு: நான் நீதிமான்; தேவன் என் நியாயத்தைத் தள்ளிவிட்டார் என்றும்,

For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

நியாயம் என்னிடத்தில் இருந்தும் நான் பொய்யனென்று எண்ணப்படுகிறேன்; மீறுதல் இல்லாதிருந்தும், அம்பினால் எனக்கு உண்டான காயம் ஆறாததாயிருக்கிறதென்றும் சொன்னாரே.

Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

யோபைப்போலவே, பரியாசம்பண்ணுதலைத் தண்ணீரைப்போல் குடித்து,

What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

அக்கிரமக்காரரோடே கூடிக்கொண்டு, துன்மார்க்கரோடே திரிகிறவன் யார்?

Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

எப்பயடியெனில், தேவன்மேல் பிரியம் வைக்கிறது மனுஷனுக்குப் பிரயோஜனம் அல்ல என்றாரே.

For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

ஆகையால் புத்திமான்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; அக்கிரமம் தேவனுக்கும், அநீதி சர்வவல்லவருக்கும் தூரமாயிருக்கிறது.

Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

மனுஷனுடைய செய்கைக்குத்தக்கதை அவனுக்குச் சரிக்கட்டி, அவனவன் நடக்கைக்குத்தக்கதாக அவனவனுக்குப் பலனளிக்கிறார்.

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

தேவன் அநியாயஞ் செய்யாமலும், சர்வவல்லவர் நீதியைப் புரட்டாமலும் இருக்கிறது மெய்யே.

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

பூமியின்மேல் மனுஷனுக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுத்தவர் யார்? பூச்சக்கரம் முழுதையும் ஒழுங்குப்படுத்தினவர் யார்?

Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

அவர் தம்முடைய இருதயத்தை அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் திருப்பினாராகில், அவனுடைய ஆவியையும் அவனுடைய சுவாசத்தையும் தம்மிடத்தில் இழுத்துக்கொள்ளுவார்.

If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

அப்படியே மாம்சமான யாவும் ஏகமாய் ஜீவித்துப்போம், மனுஷன் தூளுக்குத் திரும்புவான்.

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

உமக்கு உணர்விருந்தால் இதைக் கேளும், என் வார்த்தைகளின் சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடும்.

If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

நீதியைப் பகைக்கிற ஒருவன் ஆளக்கூடுமோ? மகா நீதிபரரைக் குற்றப்படுத்துவீரோ?

Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

ஒரு ராஜைவைப் பார்த்து, நீ பொல்லாதவன் என்றும், அதிபதிகளைப் பார்த்து, நீங்கள் அக்கிரமக்காரர் என்றும் சொல்லத்தகுமோ?

Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

இப்படியிருக்க, பிரபுக்களின் முகத்தைப்பாராமலும், ஏழையைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஐசுவரியவானை அதிகமாய் எண்ணாமலும் இருக்கிறவரை நோக்கி இப்படிச் சொல்லலாமா? இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் அவர் கரங்களின் கிரியையே.

How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

இப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் சடிதியில் சாவார்கள்; ஜனங்கள் பாதிஜாமத்தில் கலங்கி ஒழிந்துபோவார்கள்; காணாத கையினால் பலவந்தர் அழிந்துபோவார்கள்.

In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

அவருடைய கண்கள் மனுஷருடைய வழிகளை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது; அவர்களுடைய நடைகளையெல்லாம் அவர் பார்க்கிறார்.

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

அக்கிரமக்காரர் ஒளித்துக்கொள்ளத்தக்க அந்தகாரமுமில்லை, மரணஇருளுமில்லை.

There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

மனுஷன் தேவனோடே வழக்காடும்படி அவர் அவன்மேல் மிஞ்சினதொன்றையும் சுமத்தமாட்டார்.

For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

ஆராய்ந்து முடியாத நியாயமாய் அவர் வல்லமையுள்ளவர்களை நொறுக்கி, வேறே மனுஷரை அவர்கள் ஸ்தானத்திலே நிறுத்துகிறார்.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

அவர்கள் கிரியைகளை அவர் அறிந்தவரானபடியால், அவர்கள் நசுங்கிப்போகத்தக்கதாய் இராக்காலத்தில் அவர்களைக் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுகிறார்.

Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

அவர்கள் அவரை விட்டுப் பின்வாங்கி அவருடைய எல்லா வழிகளையும் உணர்ந்துகொள்ளாமல் போனபடியினாலும்,

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

எளியவர்களின் கூக்குரல் அவரிடத்தில் சேரும்படி செய்ததினாலும், சிறுமையானவனுடைய கூக்குரலைக் கேட்கிற அவர்,

Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

எல்லாரும் பார்க்கும்படி அவர்களைத் துன்மார்க்கரென்று அடிக்கிறார்.

So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

மாயக்காரன் ஆளாதபடிக்கும், ஜனங்கள் சிக்கிக்கொள்ளப்படாதபடிக்கும்,

When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

ஒரு ஜனத்துக்கானாலும் ஒரு மனுஷனுக்கானாலும், அவர் சமாதானத்தை அருளினால் யார் கலங்கப்பண்ணுவான்? அவர் தமது முகத்தை மறைத்தால் அவரைக் காண்கிறவன் யார்?

That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

நான் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டேன்; நான் இனிப் பாவஞ்செய்யமாட்டேன்.

Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

நான் காணாத காரியத்தை நீர் எனக்குப் போதியும், நான் அநியாயம்பண்ணினேனானால், நான் இனி அப்படிச் செய்வதில்லை என்று தேவனை நோக்கிச் சொல்லத்தகுமே.

That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

நீர் அப்படிச் செய்யமாட்டோமென்கிறபடியினால், உம்மோடிருக்கிறவர்களில் ஒருவனை உமக்குப் பதிலாக அதைச் செய்யச்சொல்வீரோ? நான் அல்ல, நீரே தெரிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டும்; அல்லவென்றால், நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறதைச் சொல்லும்.

Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

யோபு அறிவில்லாமல் பேசினார்; அவர் வார்த்தைகள் ஞானமுள்ளவைகள் அல்லவென்று,

Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

புத்தியுள்ள மனுஷர் என் பட்சமாய்ப் பேசுவார்கள்; ஞானமுள்ள மனுஷனும் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பான்.

Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

அக்கிரமக்காரர் சொன்ன மறுஉத்தரவுகளினிமித்தம் யோபு முற்றமுடிய சோதிக்கப்படவேண்டியதே என் அபேட்சை.

My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

தம்முடைய பாவத்தோடே மீறுதலைக் கூட்டினார்; அவர் எங்களுக்குள்ளே கைகொட்டி, தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளை மிகுதியாக வசனித்தார் என்றான்.

For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

யோபு அத்தியாயம் 35

பின்னும் எலிகூ மாறுத்தரமாக:

Elihu spake moreover, and said,

என் நீதி தேவனுடைய நீதியைப்பார்க்கிலும் பெரியதென்று நீர் சொன்னது நியாயம் என்று எண்ணுகிறீரோ?

Thinkest thou this to be right, that thou saidst, My righteousness is more than God's?

நான் பாவியாயிராததினால் எனக்குப் பிரயோஜனமென்ன? பலன் என்ன? என்று சொன்னீர்.

For thou saidst, What advantage will it be unto thee? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?

உமக்கும் உம்மோடே இருக்கிற உம்முடைய சிநேகிதருக்கும் நான் பிரதியுத்தரம் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

I will answer thee, and thy companions with thee.

நீர் வானத்தை அண்ணாந்து பார்த்து, உம்மைப்பார்க்கிலும் உயரமாயிருக்கிற ஆகாயமண்டலங்களைக் கண்ணோக்கும்.

Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than thou.

நீர் பாவஞ்செய்தால் அதினாலே அவருக்கு என்ன நஷ்டம்? உம்முடைய மீறுதல்கள் மிகுதியானாலும், அதினாலே அவருக்கு என்ன சேதம்?

If thou sinnest, what doest thou against him? or if thy transgressions be multiplied, what doest thou unto him?

நீர் நீதிமானாயிருந்தால், அதினாலே அவருக்கு என்ன கிடைக்கும்? அல்லது அவர் உம்முடைய கையில் என்ன லாபத்தைப் பெறுவார்?

If thou be righteous, what givest thou him? or what receiveth he of thine hand?

உம்முடைய பாவத்தினால் உம்மைப்போன்ற மனுஷனுக்கு நஷ்டமும், உம்முடைய நீதியினால் மனுபுத்திரனுக்கு லாபமும் உண்டாகும்.

Thy wickedness may hurt a man as thou art; and thy righteousness may profit the son of man.

அநேகரால் பலவந்தமாய் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டவர்கள் முறையிட்டு, வல்லவர்களுடைய புயத்தினிமித்தம் அலறுகிறார்கள்.

By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.

பூமியின் மிருகங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் எங்களைப் புத்திமான்களும், ஆகாசத்துப் பறவைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் எங்களை ஞானவான்களுமாக்கி,

But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

என்னை உண்டாக்கினவரும், இரவிலும் கீதம்பாட அருள்செய்கிறவருமாகிய என் சிருஷ்டிகர்த்தாவாகிய தேவன் எங்கே என்று கேட்பவன் ஒருவனுமில்லை.

Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?

அங்கே அவர்கள் பொல்லாதவர்களின் பெருமையினிமித்தம் கூப்பிடுகிறார்கள்; அவரோ மறுஉத்தரவு கொடுக்கிறதில்லை.

There they cry, but none giveth answer, because of the pride of evil men.

தேவன் வீண்வார்த்தைக்குச் செவிகொடார், சர்வவல்லவர் அதைக் கவனியார்.

Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.

அவருடைய தரிசனம் உமக்குக் கிடைக்கிறதில்லை என்று நீர் சொல்லுகிறீரே; ஆனாலும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு அவரிடத்தில் இருக்கிறது; ஆகையால் அவருக்குக் காத்துக்கொண்டிரும்.

Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him.

இப்போது அவருடைய கோபமானது நியாயத்தை முற்றிலும் விசாரியாது; அவர் இன்னும் ஒன்றையும் குறையற்றவிதமாய்த் தீர்க்கவில்லை.

But now, because it is not so, he hath visited in his anger; yet he knoweth it not in great extremity:

ஆகையால் யோபு வீணாய்த் தம்முடைய வாயைத் திறந்து, அறிவில்லாமல் வார்த்தைகளை மிகுதியாய் வசனிக்கிறார் என்றான்.

Therefore doth Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplieth words without knowledge.

யோபு அத்தியாயம் 36

பின்னும் எலிகூ:

Elihu also proceeded, and said,

நான் பேசிமுடியுமட்டும் சற்றேபொறும்; இன்னும் தேவன் பட்சத்தில் நான் சொல்லவேண்டிய நியாயங்களை உமக்குச் சொல்லிக்காண்பிப்பேன்.

Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God's behalf.

நான் தூரத்திலிருந்து என் ஞானத்தைக் கொண்டுவந்து, என்னை உண்டாக்கினவருடைய நீதியை விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

மெய்யாகவே என் வார்த்தைகள் பொய்யற்றிருக்கும்; உம்மோடே பேசுகிறவன் அறிவில் தேறினவன்.

For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர், அவர் ஒருவரையும் புறக்கணியார்; மன உருக்கத்திலும் அவர் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்.

Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

அவர் துன்மார்க்கரைப் பிழைக்க ஒட்டாதிருக்கிறார்; சிறுமையானவர்களின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கிறார்.

He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

அவர் தம்முடைய கண்களை நீதிமான்களைவிட்டு விலக்காமல், அவர்களை ராஜாக்களோடே கூட சிங்காசனத்தில் ஏறவும், உயர்ந்த ஸ்தலத்தில் என்றைக்கும் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கவும் செய்கிறார்.

He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

அவர்கள் விலங்குகள் போடப்பட்டு, உபத்திரவத்தின் கயிறுகளால் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்தாலும்,

And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;

அவர், அவர்கள் கிரியையையும், மிஞ்சிப்போன அவர்களுடைய மீறுதல்களையும் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி,

Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

அக்கிரமத்தை விட்டுத் திரும்பும்படி அவர்கள் செவியைத் திறந்து கடிந்துகொள்ளுகிறார்.

He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

அவர்கள் அடங்கி அவரைச் சேவித்தால், தங்கள் நாட்களை நன்மையாகவும், தங்கள் வருஷங்களைச் செல்வவாழ்வாகவும் போக்குவார்கள்.

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

அடங்கார்களேயாகில் பட்டயத்துக்கு இரையாகி, ஞானம் அடையாமல் மாண்டுபோவார்கள்.

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

மாயமுள்ள இருதயத்தார் குரோதத்தைக் குவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; அவர்களை அவர் கட்டிவைக்கும்போது கெஞ்சிக் கூப்பிடுவார்கள்.

But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

அவர்கள் வாலவயதிலே மாண்டுபோவார்கள்; இலச்சையானவர்களுக்குள்ளே அவர்கள் பிராணன் முடியும்.

They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களை அவர் சிறுமைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி, அவர்கள் ஒடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கையில் அவர்கள் செவியைத் திறக்கிறார்.

He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

அப்படியே அவர் உம்மையும் நெருக்கத்தினின்று விலக்கி, ஒடுக்கமில்லாத விசாலத்திலே வைப்பார்; உம்முடைய போஜனபந்தி கொழுமையான பதார்த்தங்களால் நிறைந்திருக்கும்.

Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

ஆகாதவன்மேல் வரும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு நிறைவேறப் பார்ப்பீர்; நியாயமும் நீதியும் உம்மை ஆதரிக்கும்.

But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

உக்கிரமுண்டாயிருக்கிறதினால் அவர் உம்மை ஒரு அடியினால் வாரிக்கொண்டுபோகாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; அப்பொழுது மீட்கும் பொருளை மிகுதியாய்க் கொடுத்தாலும் அதற்கு நீர் நீங்கலாகமாட்டீர்.

Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

உம்முடைய செல்வத்தை அவர் மதிப்பாரோ? உம்முடைய பொன்னையும், பூரண பராக்கிரமத்தையும் அவர் மதிக்கமாட்டாரே.

Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

ஜனங்கள் தங்கள் இடத்தைவிட்டு வாரிக்கொள்ளப்படப்போகிற இரவை வாஞ்சிக்காதிரும்.

Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

அக்கிரமத்துக்குத் திரும்பாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரும்; உபத்திரவத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும் அக்கிரமத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டீரே.

Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

இதோ, தேவன் தம்முடைய வல்லமையில் உயர்ந்திருக்கிறார்; அவரைப் போல் போதிக்கிறவர் யார்?

Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

அவருடைய வழியின் நியாயத்தை விசாரிக்கத்தக்கவன் யார்? நீர் அநியாயம் செய்தீர் என்று சொல்லத்தக்கவன் யார்?

Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

மனுஷர் நோக்கிப்பார்க்கிற அவருடைய கிரியையை நீர் மகிமைப்படுத்த நினையும்.

Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

எல்லா மனுஷரும் அதைக் காண்கிறார்களே; தூரத்திலிருந்து அது மனுஷருக்கு வெளிப்படுகிறது.

Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

இதோ, தேவன் மகத்துவமுள்ளவர்; நாம் அவரை அறிய முடியாது; அவருடைய வருஷங்களின் இலக்கம் ஆராய்ந்து முடியாதது.

Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

அவர் நீர்த்துளிகளை அணுவைப்போல ஏறப்பண்ணுகிறார்; அவைகள் மேகத்திலிருந்து மழையாய்ச் சொரிகிறது.

For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:

அதை மேகங்கள் பெய்து, மனுஷர்மேல் மிகுதியாய்ப் பொழிகிறது.

Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

மேகங்களின் பரவுதலையும், அவருடைய கூடாரத்திலிருந்து எழும்பும் குமுறல்களையும் அறியமுடியுமோ?

Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

இதோ, அதின்மேல் தம்முடைய மின்னலின் ஒளியை விரிக்கிறார்; சமுத்திரத்தின் ஆழங்களையும் மூடுகிறார்.

Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

அவைகளால் ஜனங்களை தண்டிக்கிறவரும், ஆகாரங்கொடுத்து இரட்சிக்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார்.

For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

அவர் மின்னலின் ஒளியைத் தமது கைக்குள்ளே மூடி, அது இன்னின்னதை அடிக்கவேண்டுமென்று கட்டளையிடுகிறார்.

With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.

அதினால், அவர் செய்ய நினைக்கிறதையும், மந்தாரம் எழும்பப்போகிறதையும், ஆடுமாடுகள் அறியப்படுத்தும்.

The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.

மாற்கு அத்தியாயம் 9

அன்றியும், அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: இங்கே நிற்கிறவர்களில் சிலர் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் பலத்தோடே வருவதைக் காணுமுன், மரணத்தை ருசிபார்ப்பதில்லையென்று, மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

ஆறுநாளைக்குப்பின்பு, இயேசு பேதுருவையும், யாக்கோபையும், யோவானையும் அழைத்து, உயர்ந்த மலையின்மேல் அவர்களைத் தனியே கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய், அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக மறுரூபமானார்.

And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them.

அவருடைய வஸ்திரம் உறைந்தமழையைப்போல் பூமியிலே எந்த வண்ணானும் வெளுக்கக்கூடாத வெண்மையாய்ப் பிரகாசித்தது.

And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them.

அப்பொழுது மோசேயும் எலியாவும் இயேசுவுடனே பேசுகிறவர்களாக அவர்களுக்குக் காணப்பட்டார்கள்.

And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

அப்பொழுது பேதுரு இயேசுவை நோக்கி: ரபீ, நாம் இங்கே இருக்கிறது நல்லது; உமக்கு ஒரு கூடாரமும், மோசேக்கு ஒரு கூடாரமும், எலியாவுக்கு ஒரு கூடாரமுமாக, மூன்று கூடாரங்களைப் போடுவோம் என்றான்.

And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

அவர்கள் மிகவும் பயந்திருந்தபடியால், தான் பேசுகிறது இன்னதென்று அறியாமல் இப்படிச் சொன்னான்.

For he wist not what to say; for they were sore afraid.

அப்பொழுது, ஒரு மேகம் அவர்கள்மேல் நிழலிட்டது: இவர் என்னுடைய நேசகுமாரன், இவருக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள் என்று அந்த மேகத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தம் உண்டாயிற்று.

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

உடனே அவர்கள் சுற்றிலும் பார்த்தபோது, இயேசு ஒருவரைத்தவிர வேறொருவரையும் காணவில்லை.

And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.

அவர்கள் மலையிலிருந்து இறங்குகிறபோது, அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: மனுஷகுமாரன் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுந்திருக்கும்வரைக்கும், நீங்கள் கண்டவைகளை ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்று கட்டளையிட்டார்.

And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுந்திருப்பது என்னவென்று அவர்கள் ஒருவரிடத்தில் ஒருவர் விசாரித்து, அந்த வார்த்தையைத் தங்களுக்குள்ளே அடக்கிக்கொண்டு:

And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean.

எலியா முந்தி வரவேண்டுமென்று வேதபாரகர் சொல்லுகிறார்களே, அதெப்படியென்று அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டார்கள்.

And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?

அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: எலியாமுந்திவந்து எல்லாவற்றையும் சீர்ப்படுத்துவது மெய்தான்; அல்லாமலும், மனுஷகுமாரன் பல பாடுகள்பட்டு, அவமதிக்கப்படுவாரென்று, அவரைக்குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிறதே அது எப்படி என்றார்.

And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought.

ஆனாலும் எலியா வந்தாயிற்று, அவனைக்குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிற பிரகாரம் தங்களுக்கு இஷ்டமானபடி அவனுக்குச் செய்தார்களென்று, உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

பின்பு அவர் சீஷரிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, அவர்களைச் சுற்றித் திரளான ஜனங்கள் நிற்கிறதையும், அவர்களோடே வேதபாரகர் தர்க்கிக்கிறதையும் கண்டார்.

And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great multitude about them, and the scribes questioning with them.

ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அவரைக் கண்டவுடனே மிகவும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, ஓடிவந்து, அவருக்கு வந்தனஞ்செய்தார்கள்.

And straightway all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him saluted him.

அவர் வேதபாரகரை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் இவர்களோடே என்னத்தைக் குறித்துத் தர்க்கம்பண்ணுகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்.

And he asked the scribes, What question ye with them?

அப்பொழுது ஜனக்கூட்டத்தில் ஒருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: போதகரே, ஊமையான ஒரு ஆவி பிடித்த என் மகனை உம்மிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தேன்.

And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

அது அவனை எங்கே பிடித்தாலும் அங்கே அவனை அலைக்கழிக்கிறது; அப்பொழுது அவன் நுரைதள்ளி, பல்லைக்கடித்து, சோர்ந்துபோகிறான். அதைத் துரத்திவிடும்படி உம்முடைய சீஷரிடத்தில் கேட்டேன்; அவர்களால் கூடாமற்போயிற்று என்றான்.

And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.

அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: விசுவாசமில்லாத சந்ததியே, எதுவரைக்கும் நான் உங்களோடு இருப்பேன்? எதுவரைக்கும் உங்களிடத்தில் பொறுமையாய் இருப்பேன்? அவனை என்னிடத்தில் கொண்டுவாருங்கள் என்றார்.

He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.

அவனை அவரிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அவரைக் கண்டவுடனே, அந்த ஆவி அவனை அலைக்கழித்தது; அவன் தரையிலே விழுந்து, நுரைதள்ளிப் புரண்டான்.

And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.

அவர் அவனுடைய தகப்பனை நோக்கி: இது இவனுக்கு உண்டாகி எவ்வளவு காலமாயிற்று என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு அவன்: சிறுவயது முதற்கொண்டே உண்டாயிருக்கிறது;

And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

இவனைக் கொல்லும்படிக்கு அது அநேகந்தரம் தீயிலும் தண்ணீரிலும் தள்ளிற்று. நீர் ஏதாகிலும் செய்யக்கூடுமானால், எங்கள்மேல் மனதிரங்கி, எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யவேண்டும் என்றான்.

And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: நீ விசுவாசிக்கக்கூடுமானால் ஆகும், விசுவாசிக்கிறவனுக்கு எல்லாம் கூடும் என்றார்.

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

உடனே பிள்ளையின் தகப்பன்: விசுவாசிக்கிறேன் ஆண்டவரே, என் அவிசுவாசம் நீங்கும்படி உதவிசெய்யும் என்று கண்ணீரோடே சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னான்.

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

அப்பொழுது ஜனங்கள் கூட்டமாய் ஓடிவருகிறதை இயேசு கண்டு, அந்த அசுத்த ஆவியை நோக்கி: ஊமையும் செவிடுமான ஆவியே, இவனை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போ, இனி இவனுக்குள் போகாதே என்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறேன் என்று அதை அதட்டினார்.

When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

அப்பொழுது அது சத்தமிட்டு, அவனை மிகவும் அலைக்கழித்துப் புறப்பட்டுப்போயிற்று. அவன் செத்துப்போனான் என்று அநேகர் சொல்லத்தக்கதாகச் செத்தவன்போல் கிடந்தான்.

And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.

இயேசு அவன் கையைப்பிடித்து, அவனைத் தூக்கினார்; உடனே அவன் எழுந்திருந்தான்.

But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.

வீட்டில் அவர் பிரவேசித்தபொழுது, அவருடைய சீஷர்கள்: அதைத் துரத்திவிட எங்களால் ஏன் கூடாமற்போயிற்று என்று அவரிடத்தில் தனித்துக் கேட்டார்கள்.

And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?

அதற்கு அவர்: இவ்வகைப் பிசாசு ஜெபத்தினாலும் உபவாசத்தினாலுமேயன்றி மற்றெவ்விதத்தினாலும் புறப்பட்டுப்போகாது என்றார்.

And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

பின்பு அவ்விடம் விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, கலிலேயாவைக் கடந்துபோனார்கள்; அதை ஒருவரும் அறியாதிருக்கவேண்டுமென்று விரும்பினார்.

And they departed thence, and passed through Galilee; and he would not that any man should know it.

ஏனெனில் மனுஷகுமாரன் மனுஷர் கைகளில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார் என்றும், அவர்கள் அவரைக் கொன்றுபோடுவார்கள் என்றும்; கொல்லப்பட்டு, மூன்றாம் நாளிலே உயிர்த்தெழுந்திருப்பார் என்றும் அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களுக்குப் போதகம்பண்ணிச் சொல்லியிருந்தார்.

For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

அவர்களோ அந்த வார்த்தையை அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை, அதைக்குறித்து அவரிடத்தில் கேட்கவும் பயந்தார்கள்.

But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

அவர் கப்பர்நகூமுக்கு வந்து, வீட்டிலே இருக்கும்போது, அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் வழியிலே எதைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குள்ளே தர்க்கம்பண்ணினீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்.

And he came to Capernaum: and being in the house he asked them, What was it that ye disputed among yourselves by the way?

அதற்கு அவர்கள் பேசாமல் இருந்தார்கள்; ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் தங்களுக்குள்ளே எவன் பெரியவன் என்று வழியில் தர்க்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

அப்பொழுது அவர் உட்கார்ந்து, பன்னிருவரையும் அழைத்து: எவனாகிலும் முதல்வனாயிருக்க விரும்பினால் அவன் எல்லாருக்கும் கடையானவனும், எல்லாருக்கும் ஊழியக்காரனுமாயிருக்கக்கடவன் என்று சொல்லி;

And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையை எடுத்து, அதை அவர்கள் நடுவிலே நிறுத்தி, அதை அணைத்துக்கொண்டு:

And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

இப்படிப்பட்ட சிறு பிள்ளைகளில் ஒன்றை என் நாமத்தினாலே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான்; என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் என்னை அல்ல, என்னை அனுப்பினவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான் என்றார்.

Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

அப்பொழுது யோவான் அவரை நோக்கி: போதகரே, நம்மைப் பின்பற்றாதவன் ஒருவன் உமது நாமத்தினாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறதைக் கண்டோம்; அவன் நம்மைப் பின்பற்றாதவனானதால், அவனைத் தடுத்தோம் என்றான்.

And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.

அதற்கு இயேசு: அவனைத் தடுக்கவேண்டாம்; என் நாமத்தினாலே அற்புதஞ்செய்கிறவன் எளிதாய் என்னைக்குறித்துத் தீங்கு சொல்லமாட்டான்.

But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.

நமக்கு விரோதமாயிராதவன் நமது பட்சத்திலிருக்கிறான்.

For he that is not against us is on our part.

நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவினுடையவர்களாயிருக்கிறபடியினாலே, என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் உங்களுக்கு ஒரு கலசம் தண்ணீர்க் குடிக்கக் கொடுக்கிறவன் தன் பலனை அடையாமற்போவதில்லை என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

என்னிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிற இந்தச் சிறியரில் ஒருவனுக்கு இடறல் உண்டாக்குகிறவன் எவனோ, அவனுடைய கழுத்தில் ஏந்திரக்கல்லைக் கட்டி, சமுத்திரத்தில் அவனைத் தள்ளிப்போடுகிறது அவனுக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்.

And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

உன் கை உனக்கு இடறல் உண்டாக்கினால், அதைத் தறித்துப்போடு; நீ இரண்டு கையுடையவனாய் அவியாத அக்கினியுள்ள நரகத்திலே போவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், ஊனனாய் ஜீவனுக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பது உனக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்.

And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

அங்கே அவர்கள் புழு சாவாமலும் அக்கினி அவியாமலுமிருக்கும்.

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

உன் கால் உனக்கு இடறல் உண்டாக்கினால் அதைத் தறித்துப்போடு; நீ இரண்டு காலுடையவனாய் அவியாத அக்கினியுள்ள நரகத்திலே தள்ளப்படுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், சப்பாணியாய் ஜீவனுக்குள் பிரவேசிப்பது உனக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்.

And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

அங்கே அவர்கள் புழு சாவாமலும் அக்கினி அவியாமலுமிருக்கும்.

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

உன் கண் உனக்கு இடறல் உண்டாக்கினால், அதைப் பிடுங்கிப்போடு; நீ இரண்டு கண்ணுடையவனாய் நரக அக்கினியிலே தள்ளப்படுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், ஒற்றைக் கண்ணனாய் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பது உனக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்.

And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out: it is better for thee to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:

அங்கே அவர்கள் புழு சாவாமலும் அக்கினி அவியாமலுமிருக்கும்.

Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

எந்தப் பலியும் உப்பினால் உப்பிடப்படுவதுபோல, எந்த மனுஷனும் அக்கினியினால் உப்பிடப்படுவான்.

For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt.

உப்பு நல்லதுதான், உப்பு சாரமற்றுப்போனால், அதற்கு எதினாலே சாரமுண்டாக்குவீர்கள்? உங்களுக்குள்ளே உப்புடையவர்களாயிருங்கள், ஒருவரோடொருவர் சமாதானமுள்ளவர்களாயும் இருங்கள் என்றார்.

Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
