2இராஜாக்கள் அத்தியாயம் 10

ஆகாபுக்குச் சமாரியாவிலே எழுபது குமாரர் இருந்தபடியினால், யெகூ சமாரியாவிலிருக்கிற யெஸ்ரயேலின் பிரபுக்களாகிய மூப்பரிடத்துக்கும், ஆகாபுடைய பிள்ளைகளை வளர்க்கிறவர்களிடத்துக்கும் நிருபங்களை எழுதியனுப்பினான்.

And Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, unto the rulers of Jezreel, to the elders, and to them that brought up Ahab's children, saying,

அதில்: உங்கள் ஆண்டவனுடைய குமாரர்கள் உங்களோடிருக்கிறார்களே; இரதங்களும், குதிரைகளும், அரணான பட்டணமும் ஆயுதங்களும் உங்களுக்கு உண்டே.

Now as soon as this letter cometh to you, seeing your master's sons are with you, and there are with you chariots and horses, a fenced city also, and armour;

இப்போதும் இந்த நிருபம் உங்களிடத்தில் வரும்போது நீங்கள் உங்கள் ஆண்டவனுடைய குமாரரில் உத்தமமும் செம்மையுமாயிருக்கிறவனைப் பார்த்து, அவனை அவன் தகப்பனுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வைத்து, உங்கள் ஆண்டவனுடைய குடும்பத்துக்காக யுத்தம்பண்ணுங்கள் என்று எழுதியிருந்தது.

Look even out the best and meetest of your master's sons, and set him on his father's throne, and fight for your master's house.

But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand?

ஆகையால் அரமனை விசாரிப்புக்காரனும், நகர விசாரிப்புக்காரனும், மூப்பரும், பிள்ளைகளின் விசாரிப்புக்காரரும்: நாங்கள் உமது அடியார்கள், நீர் எங்களுக்குச் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் செய்வோம்; நாங்கள் ஒருவரையும் ராஜாவாக்குவதில்லை; உமது பார்வைக்குச் சம்மதியானதைச் செய்யும் என்று யெகூவுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பினார்கள்.

And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, the elders also, and the bringers up of the children, sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any king: do thou that which is good in thine eyes.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: அவர்களுக்கு இரண்டாம் நிருபத்தை எழுதினான்; அதில்: நீங்கள் என் பட்சத்தில் சேர்ந்து என் சொல்லைக் கேட்பீர்களானால், உங்கள் ஆண்டவனுடைய குமாரரின் தலைகளை வாங்கி, நாளை இந்நேரத்தில் யெஸ்ரயேலுக்கு என்னிடத்தில் வாருங்கள் என்று எழுதியிருந்தது. ராஜாவின் குமாரராகிய எழுபதுபேரும் தங்களை வளர்க்கிற பட்டணத்தின் பெரிய மனுஷரோடு இருந்தார்கள்.

Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, If ye be mine, and if ye will hearken unto my voice, take ye the heads of the men your master's sons, and come to me to Jezreel by to morrow this time. Now the king's sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, which brought them up.

இந்த நிருபம் அவர்களிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, அவர்கள் ராஜாவின் குமாரராகிய எழுபது பேரையும் பிடித்து வெட்டி, அவர்கள் தலைகளைக் கூடைகளில் வைத்து, யெஸ்ரயேலிலிருக்கிற அவனிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பினார்கள்.

And it came to pass, when the letter came to them, that they took the king's sons, and slew seventy persons, and put their heads in baskets, and sent him them to Jezreel.

அனுப்பப்பட்ட ஆள் வந்து: ராஜகுமாரரின் தலைகளைக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள் என்று அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தபோது, அவன் விடியற்காலமட்டும் அவைகளை ஒலிமுகவாசலில் இரண்டு குவியலாகக் குவித்து வையுங்கள் என்றான்.

And there came a messenger, and told him, saying, They have brought the heads of the king's sons. And he said, Lay ye them in two heaps at the entering in of the gate until the morning.

மறுநாள் காலமே அவன் வெளியே வந்து நின்று, சகல ஜனங்களையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் நீதிமான்களல்லவா? இதோ, நான் என் ஆண்டவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டேனே; ஆனாலும் இவர்கள் எல்லாரையும் கொன்றவன் யார்?

And it came to pass in the morning, that he went out, and stood, and said to all the people, Ye be righteous: behold, I conspired against my master, and slew him: but who slew all these?

ஆதலால் கர்த்தர் ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தாருக்கு விரோதமாகச் சொன்ன கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகளில் ஒன்றும் தரையிலே விழவில்லை என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனாகிய எலியாவைக்கொண்டு சொன்னதைச் செய்தார் என்றான்.

Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spake concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD hath done that which he spake by his servant Elijah.

யெஸ்ரயேலிலும் ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தாரில் மீதியான யாவரையும், அவனுக்கு இருந்த எல்லா மந்திரிகளையும், அவனைச் சேர்ந்த மனுஷரையும், அவனுடைய ஆசாரியர்களையும், அவனுக்கு ஒருவரையும் மீதியாக வைக்காதபடிக்கு, யெகூ கொன்றுபோட்டான்.

So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining.

பின்பு அவன் எழுந்து சமாரியாவுக்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டான்; வழியிலே அவன் ஆட்டுமயிர் கத்தரிக்கிற மேய்ப்பரின் ஊர் இருக்கும் இடத்துக்கு வந்தபோது,

And he arose and departed, and came to Samaria. And as he was at the shearing house in the way,

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அகசியாவின் சகோதரரை அங்கே கண்டு, நீங்கள் யார் என்று கேட்டான். அவர்கள்: நாங்கள் அகசியாவின் சகோதரர்; நாங்கள் ராஜாவின் பிள்ளைகளையும் ராஜஸ்திரீயின் பிள்ளைகளையும் வினவுகிறதற்குப் போகிறோம் என்றார்கள்.

Jehu met with the brethren of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, Who are ye? And they answered, We are the brethren of Ahaziah; and we go down to salute the children of the king and the children of the queen.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: இவர்களை உயிரோடே பிடியுங்கள் என்றான்; அவர்களை உயிரோடே பிடித்து, நாற்பத்திரண்டுபேர்களாகிய அவர்களை ஆட்டுமயிர் கத்தரிக்கிற துரவண்டையிலே வெட்டிப்போட்டார்கள்; அவர்களில் ஒருவனையும் அவன் மீதியாக விடவில்லை.

And he said, Take them alive. And they took them alive, and slew them at the pit of the shearing house, even two and forty men; neither left he any of them.

அவன் அவ்விடம்விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டபோது, தனக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்ட ரேகாபின் குமாரனாகிய யோனதாபைச் சந்தித்து, அவனை உபசரித்து: என் இருதயம் உன் இருதயத்தோடே செம்மையாய் இருக்கிறதுபோல உன் இருதயமும் செம்மையாயிருக்கிறதா என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு யோனதாப்: அப்படியே இருக்கிறது என்றான்; அப்படியிருக்கிறதானால், உன் கையைத் தா என்று சொன்னான்; அவன் தன் கையைக் கொடுத்தபோது, அவனைத் தன்னிடத்தில் இரதத்தின்மேல் ஏறிவரச்சொல்லி,

And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thine hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

நீ என்னோடே கூடவந்து கர்த்தருக்காக எனக்கு இருக்கிற பக்திவைராக்கியத்தைப் பார் என்றான்; அப்படியே இவனை அவன் இரதத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றினார்கள்.

And he said, Come with me, and see my zeal for the LORD. So they made him ride in his chariot.

அவன் சமாரியாவுக்கு வந்தபோது, கர்த்தர் எலியாவோடே சொன்ன வார்த்தையின்படியே, சமாரியாவில் ஆகாபுக்கு மீதியான யாவரையும் அழித்துத் தீருமளவும் சங்காரஞ்செய்தான்.

And when he came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which he spake to Elijah.

பின்பு யெகூ ஜனங்களையெல்லாம் கூட்டி, அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஆகாப் பாகாலைச் சேவித்தது கொஞ்சம், யெகூ அவனைச் சேவிப்பது மிகுதி.

And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, Ahab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.

இப்போதும் பாகாலின் சகல தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும், அவனுடைய சகல பணிவிடைக்காரரையும், அவனுடைய சகல ஆசாரியரையும் என்னிடத்தில் அழைப்பியுங்கள்; ஒருவனும் குறையலாகாது; நான் பாகாலுக்குப் பெரிய பலியிடப்போகிறேன்; வராதவன் எவனோ அவன் உயிரோடிருப்பதில்லை என்றான்; பாகாலின் பணிவிடைக்காரரை அழிக்கும்படி யெகூ இதைத் தந்திரமாய்ச் செய்தான்.

Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal.

பாகாலுக்குப் பண்டிகையின் ஆசரிப்பைக் கூறுங்கள் என்று யெகூ சொன்னான்; அப்படியே கூறினார்கள்.

And Jehu said, Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal. And they proclaimed it.

யெகூ இஸ்ரவேல் தேசமெங்கும் அதைச் சொல்லியனுப்பினபடியினால், பாகாலின் பணிவிடைக்காரர் எல்லாரும் வந்தார்கள்; வராதவன் ஒருவனுமில்லை; அவர்கள் பாகாலின் கோவிலுக்குள் பிரவேசித்ததினால் பாகாலின் கோவில் நாற்சாரியும் நிறைந்திருந்தது.

And Jehu sent through all Israel: and all the worshippers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that came not. And they came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was full from one end to another.

அப்பொழுது அவன், வஸ்திரசாலை விசாரிப்புக்காரனை நோக்கி: பாகாலின் பணிவிடைக்காரருக்கெல்லாம் வஸ்திரங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவா என்றான்; அவர்களுக்கு வஸ்திரங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தான்.

And he said unto him that was over the vestry, Bring forth vestments for all the worshippers of Baal. And he brought them forth vestments.

பின்பு யெகூ: ரேகாபின் குமாரனாகிய யோனதாபோடுங்கூடப் பாகாலின் கோவிலுக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, பாகாலின் பணிவிடைக்காரரை நோக்கி: பாகாலின் ஊழியக்காரரே அல்லாமல் கர்த்தரின் ஊழியக்காரரில் ஒருவரும் இங்கே உங்களோடு இராதபடிக்குத் திட்டமாய்ப் பாருங்கள் என்றான்.

And Jehu went, and Jehonadab the son of Rechab, into the house of Baal, and said unto the worshippers of Baal, Search, and look that there be here with you none of the servants of the LORD, but the worshippers of Baal only.

அவர்கள் பலிகளையும் சர்வாங்க தகனங்களையும் செலுத்த உட்பிரவேசித்த பின்பு, யெகூ வெளியிலே எண்பதுபேரைத் தனக்கு ஆயத்தமாக வைத்து: நான் உங்கள் கையில் ஒப்புவிக்கிற மனுஷரில் ஒருவனை எவன் தப்பவிடுகிறானோ அவனுடைய ஜீவனுக்குப் பதிலாக அவனைத் தப்பவிட்டவனுடைய ஜீவன் ஈடாயிருக்கும் என்றான்.

And when they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings, Jehu appointed fourscore men without, and said, If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escape, he that letteth him go, his life shall be for the life of him.

சர்வாங்க தகனபலியிட்டுத் தீர்ந்தபோது, யெகூ சேவகரையும் சேர்வைக்காரரையும் நோக்கி: உள்ளேபோய், அவர்களை வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள்; ஒருவரையும் வெளியே விடவேண்டாம் என்றான்; அப்படியே பட்டயக்கருக்கினால் சேவகரும் சேர்வைக்காரரும் அவர்களை வெட்டி எறிந்துபோட்டு, பாகால் கோவிலைச் சேர்ந்த ஸ்தலம் எங்கும் போய்,

And it came to pass, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, Go in, and slay them; let none come forth. And they smote them with the edge of the sword; and the guard and the captains cast them out, and went to the city of the house of Baal.

பாகால் கோவில் விக்கிரகங்களை வெளியே எடுத்துவந்து, அவைகளைத் தீக்கொளுத்தி,

And they brought forth the images out of the house of Baal, and burned them.

பாகாலின் சிலையைத் தகர்த்து, பாகாலின் கோவிலை இடித்து, அதை இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறதுபோல மலஜலாதி இடமாக்கினார்கள்.

And they brake down the image of Baal, and brake down the house of Baal, and made it a draught house unto this day.

இப்படியே யெகூ பாகாலை இஸ்ரவேலில் இராதபடிக்கு அழித்துப்போட்டான்.

Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

ஆனாலும் பெத்தேலிலும் தாணிலும் வைத்த பொற்கன்றுக்குட்டிகளால், இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை யெகூ விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

Howbeit from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, Jehu departed not from after them, to wit, the golden calves that were in Bethel, and that were in Dan.

கர்த்தர் யெகூவை நோக்கி: என் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதை நீ நன்றாய்ச் செய்து, என் இருதயத்தில் இருந்தபடியெல்லாம் ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்துக்குச் செய்தபடியினால், உன் குமாரர் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் நாலு தலைமுறையாக வீற்றிருப்பார்கள் என்றார்.

And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.

ஆனாலும் யெகூ இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி தன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் நடக்கக் கவலைப்படவில்லை; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை விட்டு அவன் விலகவும் இல்லை.

But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the LORD God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin.

அந்நாட்கள் முதல் கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலைக் குறைந்துபோகப்பண்ணினார்; ஆசகேல் அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லைகளிலெல்லாம் முறிய அடித்து,

In those days the LORD began to cut Israel short: and Hazael smote them in all the coasts of Israel;

யோர்தான் துவக்கிக் கிழக்கிலுள்ள அர்னோன் நதிக்குச் சமீபமான ஆரோவேர் முதற்கொண்டிருக்கிற கீலேயாத்திலும் பாசானிலுமுள்ள காதியர், ரூபேனியர், மனாசேயர் இவர்களுடைய தேசமாகிய கீலேயாத் முழுவதையும் முறிய அடித்தான்.

From Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

யெகூவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், அவனுடைய எல்லா வல்லமையும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

யெகூ தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், அவனைச் சமாரியாவில் அடக்கம் பண்ணினார்கள்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோவாகாஸ் ராஜாவானான்.

And Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.

யெகூ சமாரியாவிலே இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணின நாட்கள் இருபத்தெட்டு வருஷம்.

And the time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty and eight years.

அகசியாவின் தாயாகிய அத்தாலியாள் தன் குமாரன் இறந்து போனதைக் கண்டபோது, எழும்பி ராஜவம்சத்தார் யாவரையும் சங்காரம்பண்ணினாள்.

And when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the seed royal.

யோராம் என்னும் ராஜாவின் குமாரத்தியும் அகசியாவின் சகோதரியுமாகிய யோசேபாள், கொலையுண்ணப்படுகிற ராஜகுமாரரின் நடுவிலிருக்கிற அகசியாவின் மகனாகிய யோவாசைக் களவாய் எடுத்தாள்; அவன் கொல்லப்படாதபடி, அவனையும் அவன் தாதியையும் அத்தாலியாளுக்குத் தெரியாமல் பள்ளியறையில் ஒளித்துவைத்தார்கள்.

But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king's sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.

இவளோடேகூட அவன் ஆறுவருஷம் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் ஒளித்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தான்; அத்தாலியாள் தேசத்தின்மேல் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணினாள்.

And he was with her hid in the house of the LORD six years. And Athaliah did reign over the land.

ஏழாம் வருஷத்திலே யோய்தா நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளையும் தலைவரையும் காவலாளரையும் அழைப்பித்து, அவர்களைத் தன்னிடத்தில் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே வரச்சொல்லி, அவர்களோடு உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணி, அவர்களைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே ஆணையிடுவித்துக்கொண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு ராஜாவின் குமாரனைக் காண்பித்து,

And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of the LORD, and shewed them the king's son.

அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் செய்யவேண்டிய காரியம் என்னவென்றால், ஓய்வுநாளில் முறைப்படி இங்கே வருகிற உங்களில் மூன்றில் ஒருபங்கு ராஜாவின் அரமனைக் காவல் காக்கவேண்டும்.

And he commanded them, saying, This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you that enter in on the sabbath shall even be keepers of the watch of the king's house;

மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கு சூர் என்னும் வாசலிலும், மூன்றில் ஒரு பங்கு காவலாளரின் காவலின் பிறகே இருக்கிற வாசலிலுமிருந்து ஆலயக்காவலைப் பத்திரமாய்க் காக்கவேண்டும்.

And a third part shall be at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the house, that it be not broken down.

இப்படியே ஓய்வு நாளில் முறைப்படியே உங்களில் இரண்டு பங்குபேர், ராஜாவினிடத்தில் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைக் காவல் காக்கவேண்டும்.

And two parts of all you that go forth on the sabbath, even they shall keep the watch of the house of the LORD about the king.

நீங்கள் அவரவர் தங்கள் ஆயுதங்களைக் கையிலே பிடித்தவர்களாய், ராஜாவைச் சுற்றிலும் வரிசையாய் நின்று கொண்டிருக்கவேண்டும்; வரிசைகளுக்குள் புகுந்துவருகிறவன் கொலை செய்யப்படக்கடவன்; ராஜா வெளியே போகும்போதும் உள்ளே வரும்போதும் நீங்கள் அவரோடே இருங்கள் என்றான்.

And ye shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand: and he that cometh within the ranges, let him be slain: and be ye with the king as he goeth out and as he cometh in.

ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தா கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகள் செய்து, அவரவர் ஓய்வுநாளில் முறைப்படி வருகிறவர்களும் முறைப்படி போகிறவர்களுமாகிய தங்கள் மனுஷரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, ஆசாரியனாகிய யோய்தாவினிடத்தில் வந்தார்கள்.

And the captains over the hundreds did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest commanded: and they took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that should go out on the sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.

ஆசாரியன் கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்தில் தாவீது ராஜா வைத்திருந்த ஈட்டிகளையும் கேடகங்களையும் நூறுபேருக்கு அதிபதிகளிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான்.

And to the captains over hundreds did the priest give king David's spears and shields, that were in the temple of the LORD.

காவலாளர் அவரவர் தங்கள் ஆயுதங்களைப் பிடித்தவர்களாய், ஆலயத்தின் வலதுபக்கம் தொடங்கி அதின் இடது பக்கமட்டும், பலிபீடத்திற்கு எதிராகவும் ஆலயத்திற்கு எதிராகவும் ராஜாவைச் சுற்றிலும் நின்றார்கள்.

And the guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, round about the king, from the right corner of the temple to the left corner of the temple, along by the altar and the temple.

And he brought forth the king's son, and put the crown upon him, and gave him the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, God save the king.

ஓடிவருகிற ஜனங்கள் செய்த ஆரவாரத்தை அத்தாலியாள் கேட்டபோது: அவள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு ஜனங்களிடத்தில் வந்து,

And when Athaliah heard the noise of the guard and of the people, she came to the people into the temple of the LORD.

And when she looked, behold, the king stood by a pillar, as the manner was, and the princes and the trumpeters by the king, and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew with trumpets: and Athaliah rent her clothes, and cried, Treason, Treason.

But Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the LORD.

அவர்கள் அவளுக்கு இடம் உண்டாக்கினபோது, ராஜாவின் அரமனைக்குள் குதிரைகள் பிரவேசிக்கிற வழியிலே அவள் போகையில், அவளைக் கொன்று போட்டார்கள்.

And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the horses came into the king's house: and there was she slain.

அப்பொழுது யோய்தா, அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஜனமாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு, ராஜாவும் ஜனங்களும் கர்த்தரோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணவும், ராஜாவும் ஜனங்களும் ஒருவரோடொருவர் உடன்படிக்கை பண்ணவும் செய்து,

And Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD'S people; between the king also and the people.

And he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of the LORD, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king's house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.

தேசத்தின் ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் மகிழ்ந்து நகரம் அமைதலாயிற்று. அத்தாலியாளையோ ராஜாவின் அரமனையண்டையில் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.

And all the people of the land rejoiced, and the city was in quiet: and they slew Athaliah with the sword beside the king's house.

யோவாஸ் ராஜாவாகிறபோது ஏழு வயதாயிருந்தான்.

Seven years old was Jehoash when he began to reign.

மேலும், கடைசி நாட்களில் கொடிய காலங்கள் வருமென்று அறிவாயாக.

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

எப்படியெனில், மனுஷர்கள் தற்பிரியராயும், பணப்பிரியராயும், வீம்புக்காரராயும், அகந்தையுள்ளவர்களாயும், தூஷிக்கிறவர்களாயும், தாய்தகப்பன்மாருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களாயும், நன்றியறியாதவர்களாயும், பரிசுத்தமில்லாதவர்களாயும்,

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

சுபாவ அன்பில்லாதவர்களாயும், இணங்காதவர்களாயும், அவதூறு செய்கிறவர்களாயும், இச்சையடக்கமில்லாதவர்களாயும், கொடுமையுள்ளவர்களாயும், நல்லோரைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களாயும்,

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

துரோகிகளாயும், துணிகரமுள்ளவர்களாயும், இறுமாப்புள்ளவர்களாயும், தேவப்பிரியராயிராமல் சுகபோகப்பிரியராயும்,

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

தேவபக்தியின் வேஷத்தைத்தரித்து அதின் பெலனை மறுதலிக்கிறவர்களாயும் இருப்பார்கள்; இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களை நீ விட்டு விலகு.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

அந்தியோகியா, இக்கோனியா, லீஸ்திரா என்னும் பட்டணங்களில் எனக்கு உண்டான துன்பங்களையும் பாடுகளையும் நன்றாய் அறிந்திருக்கிறாய்; எவ்வளவோ துன்பங்களைச் சகித்தேன்; இவையெல்லாவற்றினின்றும் கர்த்தர் என்னை நீங்கலாக்கிவிட்டார்.

Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.

அன்றியும் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் தேவபக்தியாய் நடக்க மனதாயிருக்கிற யாவரும் துன்பப்படுவார்கள்.

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

பொல்லாதவர்களும் எத்தர்களுமானவர்கள் மோசம்போக்குகிறவர்களாகவும், மோசம் போகிறவர்களாகவுமிருந்து மேன்மேலும் கேடுள்ளவர்களாவார்கள்.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

நீ கற்று நிச்சயித்துக்கொண்டவைகளில் நிலைத்திரு; அவைகளை இன்னாரிடத்தில் கற்றாய் என்று நீ அறிந்திருக்கிறதுமல்லாமல்,

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தினாலே உன்னை இரட்சிப்புக்கேற்ற ஞானமுள்ளவனாக்கத்தக்க பரிசுத்த வேத எழுத்துக்களை, நீ சிறுவயதுமுதல் அறிந்தவனென்றும் உனக்குத் தெரியும்.

And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

வேதவாக்கியங்களெல்லாம் தேவ ஆவியினால் அருளப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் தேறினவனாகவும், எந்த நற்கிரியையுஞ்செய்யத் தகுதியுள்ளவனாகவும் இருக்கும்படியாக,

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

அவைகள் உபதேசத்துக்கும், கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலுக்கும், சீர்திருத்தலுக்கும், நீதியைப் படிப்பிக்குதலுக்கும் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளவைகளாயிருக்கிறது.

That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2தீமோத்தேயு அத்தியாயம் 4

நான் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகவும், உயிரோடிருக்கிறவர்களையும் மரித்தவர்களையும் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்போகிற கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு முன்பாகவும், அவருடைய பிரசன்னமாகுதலையும் அவருடைய ராஜ்யத்தையும் சாட்சியாக வைத்துக் கட்டளையிடுகிறதாவது:

I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

சமயம் வாய்த்தாலும் வாய்க்காவிட்டாலும் ஜாக்கிரதையாய்த் திருவசனத்தைப் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணு; எல்லா நீடிய சாந்தத்தோடும் உபதேசத்தோடும் கண்டனம்பண்ணி, கடிந்துகொண்டு, புத்தி சொல்லு.

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

சத்தியத்துக்குச் செவியை விலக்கி, கட்டுக்கதைகளுக்குச் சாய்ந்துபோகுங்காலம் வரும்.

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

நீயோ எல்லாவற்றிலும் மனத்தெளிவுள்ளவனாயிரு, தீங்கனுபவி, சுவிசேஷகனுடைய வேலையைச் செய், உன் ஊழியத்தை நிறைவேற்று.

But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

ஏனென்றால், நான் இப்பொழுதே பானபலியாக வார்க்கப்பட்டுப்போகிறேன்; நான் தேகத்தை விட்டுப் பிரியும் காலம் வந்தது.

For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

நீயும் அவனைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; அவன் நம்முடைய வார்த்தைகளுக்கு மிகவும் எதிர்த்து நின்றவன்.

Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words.

கர்த்தர் எல்லாத் தீமையினின்றும் என்னை இரட்சித்து, தம்முடைய பரமராஜ்யத்தை அடையும்படி காப்பாற்றுவார்; அவருக்குச் சதாகாலங்களிலும் மகிமை உண்டாவதாக. ஆமென்.

And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

மாரிகாலத்துக்குமுன் நீ வந்து சேரும்படி ஜாக்கிரதைப்படு. ஐபூலுவும், புதேஞ்சும், லீனுவும், கலவுதியாளும், மற்றெல்லாச் சகோதரரும் உனக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து உன் ஆவியுடனேகூட இருப்பாராக. கிருபை உங்களோடிருப்பதாக. ஆமென்.
