அப்பொழுது தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எலிசா தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் புத்திரரில் ஒருவனை அழைத்து: நீ இடைகட்டிக்கொண்டு, இந்தத் தைலக்குப்பியை உன் கையில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்குப் போ.

And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:

நீ அங்கே சேர்ந்தபோது, நிம்சியின் மகனான யோசபாத்தின் குமாரன் யெகூ எங்கே இருக்கிறான் என்று பார்த்து, அங்கே உட்பிரவேசித்து, அவனைத் தன் சகோதரரின் நடுவிலிருந்து எழுந்திருக்கப்பண்ணி, அவனை உள்ளான ஒரு அறையிலே அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோய்,

And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;

Then take the box of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel. Then open the door, and flee, and tarry not.

அப்படியே தீர்க்கதரிசியின் ஊழியக்காரனாகிய அந்த வாலிபன் கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திற்குப் போனான்.

So the young man, even the young man the prophet, went to Ramothgilead.

அவன் உட்பிரவேசித்தபோது, சேனாபதிகள் அங்கே உட்கார்ந்திருந்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவன்: சேனாபதியே, உமக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டிய ஒரு வார்த்தை உண்டு என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ: எங்களெல்லாருக்குள்ளும் யாருக்கு என்று கேட்டதற்கு, அவன், சேனாபதியாகிய உமக்குத்தான் என்றான்.

And when he came, behold, the captains of the host were sitting; and he said, I have an errand to thee, O captain. And Jehu said, Unto which of all us? And he said, To thee, O captain.

அவன் எழுந்து, அறைவீட்டிற்குள் பிரவேசித்தான்; அவன் அந்தத் தைலத்தை அவன் தலையின்மேல் வார்த்து, அவனை நோக்கி: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், உன்னைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினேன்.

And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.

நான் என் ஊழியக்காரராகிய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளின் இரத்தப்பழியையும், கர்த்தருடைய சகல ஊழியக்காரரின் இரத்தப்பழியையும், யேசபேலின் கையிலே வாங்கும்படிக்கு நீ உன் ஆண்டவனாகிய ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தை அழித்துவிடக்கடவாய்.

And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.

ஆகாபின் குடும்பமெல்லாம் அழியும்படிக்கு, நான் ஆகாபுக்குச் சுவரில் நீர் விடும் ஒரு நாய் முதலாய் இராதபடிக்கு, இஸ்ரவேலிலே அவனுடையவர்களில் அடைபட்டவனையும் விடுபட்டவனையும் கருவறுத்து,

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel:

ஆகாபின் குடும்பத்தை நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் குடும்பத்துக்கும், அகியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாஷாவின் குடும்பத்துக்கும் சரியாக்குவேன்.

And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah:

யேசபேலை யெஸ்ரயேலின் நிலத்திலே நாய்கள் தின்றுவிடும்; அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணுகிறவன் இல்லையென்கிறார் என்று சொல்லி, கதவைத் திறந்து ஓடிப்போனான்.

And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. And he opened the door, and fled.

யெகூ தன் ஆண்டவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பிவந்தபோது, அவர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: சுகசெய்தியா? அந்தப் பயித்தியக்காரன் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்தது என்ன என்று கேட்டார்கள். அதற்கு அவன்: அந்த மனுஷனையும், அவன் சொன்ன காரியத்தையும் நீங்கள் அறிவீர்கள் என்றான்.

Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அது பொய், அதை எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லும் என்றார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவன்: நான் உன்னை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினேன் என்று கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று இன்ன இன்ன பிரகாரமாக என்னிடத்தில் சொன்னான் என்றான்.

And they said, It is false; tell us now. And he said, Thus and thus spake he to me, saying, Thus saith the LORD, I have anointed thee king over Israel.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தீவிரமாய் அவரவர் தங்கள் வஸ்திரத்தைப் படிகளின் உயரத்தில் அவன் கீழே விரித்து, எக்காளம் ஊதி: யெகூ ராஜாவானான் என்றார்கள்.

Then they hasted, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew with trumpets, saying, Jehu is king.

அப்படியே நிம்சியின் மகனாகிய யோசபாத்தின் குமாரன் யெகூ என்பவன் யோராமுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணினான்; யோராமோ இஸ்ரவேலர் எல்லாரோடுங்கூட கீலேயாத்திலுள்ள ராமோத்திலே சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசகேலினிமித்தம் காவல் வைத்துவைத்தான்.

So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram had kept Ramothgilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Syria.

ஆனாலும் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசகேலோடே பண்ணினயுத்தத்திலே, சீரியர் தன்னை வெட்டின காயங்களை யெஸ்ரயேலிலே ஆற்றிக்கொள்ளுகிறதற்கு, ராஜாவாகிய யோராம் திரும்பிப்போயிருந்தான். யெகூ என்பவன்; இது உங்களுக்குச் சம்மதியாயிருந்தால் யெஸ்ரயேலில் இதை அறிவிக்கிறதற்கு ஒருவரும் பட்டணத்திலிருந்து தப்பிப்போகும்படி விடாதிருங்கள் என்றான்.

But king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Syrians had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Syria.) And Jehu said, If it be your minds, then let none go forth nor escape out of the city to go to tell it in Jezreel.

அப்பொழுது யெகூ இரதத்தின்மேல் ஏறி, யெஸ்ரயேலுக்கு நேராகப் போனான், யோராம் அங்கே வியாதியாய்க் கிடந்தான்; யோராமைப்பார்க்க, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அகசியாவும் அங்கே வந்திருந்தான்.

So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. And Ahaziah king of Judah was come down to see Joram.

யெஸ்ரயேலில் கோபுரத்தின்மேல் நிற்கிற ஜாமக்காரன், யெகூவின் கூட்டம் வருகிறதைக் கண்டு: ஒரு கூட்டத்தைக் காண்கிறேன் என்றான். அப்பொழுது யோராம்: நீ ஒரு குதிரைவீரனைப் கூப்பிட்டு, அவர்களுக்கு எதிராக அனுப்பிச் சமாதானமா என்று கேட்கச்சொல் என்றான்.

And there stood a watchman on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, I see a company. And Joram said, Take an horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, Is it peace?

அந்தக் குதிரைவீரன்: அவனுக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோய், சமாதானமா என்று ராஜா கேட்கச்சொன்னார் என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ: சமாதானத்தைப்பற்றி உனக்கு என்ன? என் பிறகே திரும்பிவா என்றான். அப்பொழுது ஜாமக்காரன்: அனுப்பப்பட்டவன் அவர்கள் இருக்கும் இடமட்டும் போனபோதிலும் திரும்பிவரவில்லை என்றான்.

So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu said, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me. And the watchman told, saying, The messenger came to them, but he cometh not again.

ஆகையால் வேறொரு குதிரைவீரனை அனுப்பினான், அவன் அவர்களிடத்தில் போய்: சமாதானமா என்று ராஜா கேட்கச்சொன்னார் என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ: சமாதானத்தைப்பற்றி உனக்கு என்ன? என் பிறகே திரும்பிவா என்றான்.

Then he sent out a second on horseback, which came to them, and said, Thus saith the king, Is it peace? And Jehu answered, What hast thou to do with peace? turn thee behind me.

அப்பொழுது ஜாமக்காரன்: அவன் அவர்கள் இருக்கும் இடமட்டும் போனபோதிலும் திரும்பிவரவில்லை என்றும், ஓட்டுகிறது நிம்சியின் குமாரனாகிய யெகூ ஓட்டுகிறதுபோல இருக்கிறது; அதிவேகமாய் ஓட்டுகிறான் என்றும் சொன்னான்.

And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.

அப்பொழுது யோராம்: இரதத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்து என்றான்; அவனுடைய இரதத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினபோது, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோராமும், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அகசியாவும் அவனவன் தன்தன் இரதத்தில் ஏறி யெகூவுக்கு நேராகப் புறப்பட்டு, யெஸ்ரயேலியனாகிய நாபோத்தின் நிலத்திலே அவனுக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டார்கள்.

And Joram said, Make ready. And his chariot was made ready. And Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out against Jehu, and met him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.

யோராம் யெகூவைக் கண்டவுடனே: யெகூவே, சமாதானமா என்றான். அதற்கு யெகூ: உன் தாயாகிய யேசபேலின் வேசித்தனங்களும் அவளுடைய பில்லி சூனியங்களும், இத்தனை ஏராளமாயிருக்கையில் சமாதானம் ஏது என்றான்.

And it came to pass, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, Is it peace, Jehu? And he answered, What peace, so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcrafts are so many?

அப்பொழுது யோராம் தன் இரதத்தைத் திருப்பிக்கொண்டு ஓடிப்போய், அகசியாவை நோக்கி: அகசியாவே, இது சதி என்றான்.

And Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, There is treachery, O Ahaziah.

யெகூ தன் கையால் வில்லை நாணேற்றி, அம்பு யோராமுடைய நெஞ்சில் உருவிப் புறப்படத்தக்கதாய், அவனை அவன் புயங்களின் நடுவே எய்தான்; அதினால் அவன் தன் இரதத்திலே சுருண்டு விழுந்தான்.

And Jehu drew a bow with his full strength, and smote Jehoram between his arms, and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.

அப்பொழுது யெகூ, தன் சேனாபதியாகிய பித்காரை நோக்கி: அவனை எடுத்து, யெஸ்ரயேலியனாகிய நாபோத்தின் வயல்நிலத்தில் எறிந்துபோடு; நானும் நீயும் ஒரு சோடாய் அவன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆகாபின் பிறகே குதிரை ஏறிவருகிறபோது, கர்த்தர் இந்த ஆக்கினையை அவன்மேல் சுமத்தினார் என்பதை நினைத்துக்கொள்.

Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take up, and cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the LORD laid this burden upon him;

நேற்று நாபோத்தின் இரத்தத்தையும், அவன் குமாரரின் இரத்தத்தையும் கண்டேன் அல்லவா என்றும், இந்த நிலத்தில் உனக்கு நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுவேன் என்றும் அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் சொன்னாரே; இப்போதும் அவனை எடுத்து, கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே இந்த நிலத்தில் எறிந்துபோடு என்றான்.

Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons, saith the LORD; and I will requite thee in this plat, saith the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him into the plat of ground, according to the word of the LORD.

இதை யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அகசியா கண்டு, தோட்டத்தின் வீட்டுவழியாய் ஓடிப்போனான்; யெகூ அவனைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து: அவனையும் இரதத்திலே வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள் என்றான்; அவர்கள் இப்லேயாம் கிட்ட இருக்கிற கூர்மலையின்மேல் ஏறுகிற வழியிலே அப்படிச் செய்தார்கள்; அவன் மெகிதோவுக்கு ஓடிப்போய் அங்கே செத்துப்போனான்.

But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. And Jehu followed after him, and said, Smite him also in the chariot. And they did so at the going up to Gur, which is by Ibleam. And he fled to Megiddo, and died there.

அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அவனை இரதத்தின்மேல் எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவனைத் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அவன் பிதாக்களோடு அவனுடைய கல்லறையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

And his servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his sepulchre with his fathers in the city of David.

இந்த அகசியா, ஆகாபுடைய குமாரனாகிய யோராமின் பதினோராம் வருஷத்தில் யூதாவின்மேல் ராஜாவானான்.

And in the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.

யெகூ யெஸ்ரயேலுக்கு வந்தான்; அதை யேசபேல் கேட்டபோது, தன் கண்களுக்கு மையிட்டு, தன் தலையைச் சிங்காரித்துக்கொண்டு, ஜன்னல் வழியாய் எட்டிப்பார்த்து,

And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window.

யெகூ ஒலிமுகவாசலில் வந்தபோது, அவள்: தன் ஆண்டவனைக் கொன்ற சிம்ரி ஷேமம் அடைந்தானா என்றாள்.

And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master?

And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: அவளைக் கீழே தள்ளுங்கள் என்றான்; அப்படியே அவளைக் கீழே தள்ளினதினால், அவளுடைய இரத்தம் சுவரிலும் குதிரைகளிலும் தெறித்தது; அவன் அவளை மிதித்துக்கொண்டு,

And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot.

உள்ளேபோய், புசித்துக் குடித்த பின்பு: நீங்கள் போய் சபிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த ஸ்திரீயைப் பார்த்து, அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அவள் ஒரு ராஜகுமாரத்தி என்றான்.

And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter.

அவர்கள் அவளை அடக்கம்பண்ணப்போகிறபோது, அவளுடைய தலையோட்டையும் கால்களையும் உள்ளங்கைகளையுமே அல்லாமல் வேறொன்றையும் காணவில்லை.

And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.

ஆகையால் அவர்கள் திரும்பவந்து அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவன்: இது கர்த்தர் திஸ்பியனாகிய எலியா என்னும் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனைக்கொண்டு சொன்ன வார்த்தை; யெஸ்ரயேலின் நிலத்திலே நாய்கள் யேசபேலின் மாம்சத்தைச் தின்னும் என்றும்,

Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel:

இன்னது யேசபேலென்று சொல்லக்கூடாதபடிக்கு, யேசபேலின் பிரேதம் யெஸ்ரயேலின் நிலத்திலே வயல்வெளியின்மேல் போடும் எருவைப்போல் ஆகும் என்றும் சொன்னாரே என்றான்.

And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

2தீமோத்தேயு அத்தியாயம் 1

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால் உண்டாயிருக்கிற ஜீவனைப்பற்றிய வாக்குத்தத்தத்தின்படி, தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தினாலே, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் அப்போஸ்தலனாயிருக்கிற பவுல்,

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,

பிரியமுள்ள குமாரனாகிய தீமோத்தேயுவுக்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது: பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினாலும் கிருபையும் இரக்கமும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

நான் இரவும் பகலும் இடைவிடாமல் என் ஜெபங்களில் உன்னை நினைத்து, உன் கண்ணீரை ஞாபகம்பண்ணி, சந்தோஷத்தால் நிறையப்படும்படிக்கு உன்னைக் காண வாஞ்சையாயிருந்து,

I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;

உன்னிலுள்ள மாயமற்ற விசுவாசத்தை நினைவுகூருகிறதினால், என் முன்னோர்கள் முதற்கொண்டு சுத்தமனச்சாட்சியோடே ஆராதித்துவரும் தேவனை நான் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.

Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

அந்த விசுவாசம் முந்தி உன் பாட்டியாகிய லோவிசாளுக்குள்ளும் உன் தாயாகிய ஐனிக்கேயாளுக்குள்ளும் நிலைத்திருந்தது; அது உனக்குள்ளும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறதென்று நிச்சயித்திருக்கிறேன்.

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.

இதினிமித்தமாக, நான் உன்மேல் என் கைகளை வைத்ததினால் உனக்கு உண்டான தேவவரத்தை நீ அனல்மூட்டி எழுப்பி விடும்படி உனக்கு நினைப்பூட்டுகிறேன்.

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

தேவன் நமக்குப் பயமுள்ள ஆவியைக் கொடாமல், பலமும் அன்பும் தெளிந்த புத்தியுமுள்ள ஆவியையே கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

ஆகையால் நம்முடைய கர்த்தரைப்பற்றிய சாட்சியைக்குறித்தாவது, அவர் நிமித்தம் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற என்னைக் குறித்தாவது, நீ வெட்கப்படாமல், தேவவல்லமைக்கேற்றபடி சுவிசேஷத்திற்காக என்னோடேகூடத் தீங்கனுபவி.

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

அவர் நம்முடைய கிரியைகளின்படி நம்மை இரட்சிக்காமல், தம்முடைய தீர்மானத்தின்படியும், ஆதிகாலமுதல் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் நமக்கு அருளப்பட்ட கிருபையின்படியும், நம்மை இரட்சித்து, பரிசுத்த அழைப்பினாலே அழைத்தார்.

Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

நம்முடைய இரட்சகராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பிரசன்னமானதினாலே அந்தக் கிருபை இப்பொழுது வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டது; அவர் மரணத்தைப் பரிகரித்து, ஜீவனையும் அழியாமையையும் சுவிசேஷத்தினாலே வெளியரங்கமாக்கினார்.

But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

அதற்கு நான் பிரசங்கியாகவும், அப்போஸ்தலனாகவும், புறஜாதியாருக்குப் போதகனாகவும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டேன்.

Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.

அதினிமித்தம் நான் இந்தப் பாடுகளையும் அனுபவிக்கிறேன்; ஆயினும், நான் வெட்கப்படுகிறதில்லை; ஏனென்றால், நான் விசுவாசித்திருக்கிறவர் இன்னார் என்று அறிவேன், நான் அவரிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததை அவர் அந்நாள்வரைக்கும் காத்துக்கொள்ள வல்லவராயிருக்கிறாரென்று நிச்சயித்துமிருக்கிறேன்.

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

நீ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தோடும் அன்போடும் என்னிடத்தில் கேட்டிருக்கிற ஆரோக்கியமான வசனங்களின் சட்டத்தைக் கைக்கொண்டிரு.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

உன்னிடத்தில் ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட அந்த நற்பொருளை நமக்குள்ளே வாசம்பண்ணுகிற பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே காத்துக்கொள்.

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

ஆசியா நாட்டிலிருக்கிற யாவரும், அவர்களில் பிகெல்லு எர்மொகெனே முதலாய் என்னைவிட்டு விலகினார்களென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறாய்.

This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

ஒநேசிப்போருவின் வீட்டாருக்குக் கர்த்தர் இரக்கங்கட்டளையிடுவாராக; அவன் அநேகந்தரம் என்னை இளைப்பாற்றினான்; என் விலங்கைக்குறித்து அவன் வெட்கப்படவுமில்லை;

The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:

அவன் ரோமாவில் வந்திருந்தபோது அதிக ஜாக்கிரதையாய் என்னைத் தேடிக் கண்டுபிடித்தான்.

But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.

அந்நாளிலே அவன் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் இரக்கத்தைக் கண்டடையும்படி, கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு அனுக்கிரகஞ்செய்வாராக; அவன் எபேசுவிலே செய்த பற்பல உதவிகளையும் நீ நன்றாய் அறிந்திருக்கிறாயே.

The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

2தீமோத்தேயு அத்தியாயம் 2

ஆதலால், என் குமாரனே, நீ கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிலுள்ள கிருபையில் பலப்படு.

Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

அநேக சாட்சிகளுக்கு முன்பாக நீ என்னிடத்தில் கேட்டவைகளை மற்றவர்களுக்குப் போதிக்கத்தக்க உண்மையுள்ள மனுஷர்களிடத்தில் ஒப்புவி.

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

நீயும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்கு நல்ல போர்ச்சேவகனாய்த் தீங்கனுபவி.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

தண்டில் சேவகம்பண்ணுகிற எவனும், தன்னைச் சேவகமெழுதிக்கொண்டவனுக்கு ஏற்றவனாயிருக்கும்படி, பிழைப்புக்கடுத்த அலுவல்களில் சிக்கிக்கொள்ளமாட்டான்.

No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

மேலும் ஒருவன் மல்யுத்தம்பண்ணினாலும், சட்டத்தின்படி பண்ணாவிட்டால் முடிசூட்டப்படான்.

And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

பிரயாசப்பட்டுப் பயிரிடுகிறவன் பலனில் முந்திப் பங்கடையவேண்டும்.

The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.

நான் சொல்லுகிறவைகளைச் சிந்தித்துக்கொள்; கர்த்தர் எல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும் உனக்குப் புத்தியைத் தந்தருளுவார்.

Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

தாவீதின் சந்ததியில் பிறந்த இயேசுகிறிஸ்து, என் சுவிசேஷத்தின்படியே, மரித்தோரிலிருந்தெழுப்பப்பட்டவரென்று நினைத்துக்கொள்.

Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:

இந்தச் சுவிசேஷத்தினிமித்தம் நான் பாதகன்போலக் கட்டப்பட்டு, துன்பத்தை அனுபவிக்கிறேன்; தேவவசனமோ கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கவில்லை.

Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

ஆகையால், தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்கள் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினால் உண்டான இரட்சிப்பை நித்திய மகிமையோடே பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி, சகலத்தையும் அவர்கள் நிமித்தமாகச் சகிக்கிறேன்.

Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

இந்த வார்த்தை உண்மையுள்ளது; என்னவெனில், நாம் அவரோடேகூட மரித்தோமானால், அவரோடேகூடப் பிழைத்துமிருப்போம்;

It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him:

அவரோடேகூடப் பாடுகளைச் சகித்தோமானால் அவரோடேகூட ஆளுகையும் செய்வோம்; நாம் அவரை மறுதலித்தால், அவரும் நம்மை மறுதலிப்பார்;

If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

நாம் உண்மையில்லாதவர்களாயிருந்தாலும், அவர் உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்; அவர் தம்மைத்தாம் மறுதலிக்கமாட்டார்.

If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself.

இவைகளைஅவர்களுக்கு நினைப்பூட்டி, ஒன்றுக்கும் பிரயோஜனமில்லாமல், கேட்கிறவர்களைக் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுகிறதற்கேதுவான வாக்குவாதம் செய்யாதபடிக்கு, கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக அவர்களுக்கு எச்சரித்துப் புத்திசொல்லு.

Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.

நீ வெட்கப்படாத ஊழியக்காரனாயும் சத்திய வசனத்தை நிதானமாய்ப் பகுத்துப் போதிக்கிறவனாயும் உன்னை தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக உத்தமனாக நிறுத்தும்படி ஜாக்கிரதையாயிரு.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

சீர்கேடான வீண்பேச்சுகளுக்கு விலகியிரு; அவைகளால் (கள்ளப்போதகர்களான) அவர்கள் அதிக அவபக்தியுள்ளவர்களாவார்கள்;

But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.

அவர்களுடைய வார்த்தை அரிபிளவையைப்போலப் படரும்; இமெநேயும் பிலேத்தும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள்;

And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

அவர்கள் சத்தியத்தை விட்டு விலகி, உயிர்த்தெழுதல் நடந்தாயிற்றென்று சொல்லி, சிலருடைய விசுவாசத்தைக் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுகிறார்கள்.

Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

ஆகிலும் தேவனுடைய உறுதியான அஸ்திபாரம் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது; கர்த்தர் தம்முடையவர்களை அறிவாரென்பதும், கிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தைச் சொல்லுகிற எவனும் அநியாயத்தைவிட்டு விலகக்கடவனென்பதும், அதற்கு முத்திரையாயிருக்கிறது.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

ஒரு பெரிய வீட்டிலே பொன்னும் வெள்ளியுமான பாத்திரங்களுமல்லாமல், மரமும் மண்ணுமான பாத்திரங்களுமுண்டு; அவைகளில் சில கனத்திற்கும் சில கனவீனத்திற்குமானவைகள்.

But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.

ஆகையால் ஒருவன் இவைகளைவிட்டு, தன்னைச் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொண்டால், அவன் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டதும், எஜமானுக்கு உபயோகமானதும், எந்த நற்கிரியைக்கும் ஆயத்தமாக்கப்பட்டதுமான கனத்துக்குரிய பாத்திரமாயிருப்பான்.

If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

அன்றியும், பாலியத்துக்குரிய இச்சைகளுக்கு நீ விலகியோடி, சுத்த இருதயத்தோடே கர்த்தரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவர்களுடனே, நீதியையும் விசுவாசத்தையும் அன்பையும் சமாதானத்தையும் அடையும்படி நாடு.

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

புத்தியீனமும் அயுக்தமுமான தர்க்கங்கள் சண்டைகளைப் பிறப்பிக்குமென்று அறிந்து, அவைகளுக்கு விலகியிரு.

But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

கர்த்தருடைய ஊழியக்காரன் சண்டைபண்ணுகிறவனாயிராமல், எல்லாரிடத்திலும் சாந்தமுள்ளவனும், போதகசமர்த்தனும், தீமையைச் சகிக்கிறவனுமாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

எதிர்பேசுகிறவர்கள் சத்தியத்தை அறியும்படி தேவன் அவர்களுக்கு மனந்திரும்புதலை அருளத்தக்கதாகவும்,

In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

பிசாசானவனுடைய இச்சையின்படி செய்ய அவனால் பிடிபட்டிருக்கிற அவர்கள் மறுபடியும் மயக்கந்தெளிந்து அவன் கண்ணிக்கு நீங்கத்தக்கதாகவும், சாந்தமாய் அவர்களுக்கு உபதேசிக்கவேண்டும்.

And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
