எண்ணாகமம் அத்தியாயம் 1

இஸ்ரவேலர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட இரண்டாம் வருஷம் இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில், கர்த்தர் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்திலிருக்கிற ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திலே மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the tabernacle of the congregation, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் முழுச்சபையாயிருக்கிற அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வீட்டு வம்சங்களிலுள்ள புருஷர்களாகிய சகல தலைகளையும் பேர்பேராக எண்ணித் தொகையேற்றுங்கள்.

Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls;

இஸ்ரவேலிலே இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்துக்குப் புறப்படத்தக்கவர்கள் எல்லாரையும் அவர்கள் சேனைகளின்படி நீயும் ஆரோனும் எண்ணிப் பார்ப்பீர்களாக.

From twenty years old and upward, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel: thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies.

ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொரு மனிதன் உங்களோடே இருப்பானாக; அவன் தன் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்துக்குத் தலைவனாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.

உங்களோடே நிற்கவேண்டிய மனிதருடைய நாமங்களாவன: ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் சேதேயூருடைய குமாரன் எலிசூர்.

And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you: of the tribe of Reuben; Elizur the son of Shedeur.

சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் சூரிஷதாயின் குமாரன் செலூமியேல்.

Of Simeon; Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மினதாபின் குமாரன் நகசோன்.

Of Judah; Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் சூவாரின் குமாரன் நெதனெயேல்.

Of Issachar; Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் ஏலோனின் குமாரன் எலியாப்.

Of Zebulun; Eliab the son of Helon.

யோசேப்பின் குமாரராகிய எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மியூதின் குமாரன் எலிஷாமா; மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் பெதாசூரின் குமாரன் கமாலியேல்.

Of the children of Joseph: of Ephraim; Elishama the son of Ammihud: of Manasseh; Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் கீதெயோனின் குமாரன் அபீதான்.

Of Benjamin; Abidan the son of Gideoni.

தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் அம்மீஷதாயின் குமாரன் அகியேசேர்.

Of Dan; Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் ஓகிரானின் குமாரன் பாகியேல்.

Of Asher; Pagiel the son of Ocran.

காத் கோத்திரத்தில் தேகுவேலின் குமாரன் எலியாசாப்.

Of Gad; Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் ஏனானின் குமாரன் அகீரா.

Of Naphtali; Ahira the son of Enan.

இவர்களே சபையில் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டவர்களும், தங்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய கோத்திரங்களில் பிரபுக்களும், இஸ்ரவேலில் ஆயிரவர்களுக்குத் தலைவருமாயிருப்பவர்கள் என்றார்.

These were the renowned of the congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, heads of thousands in Israel.

அப்படியே மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் பேர்பேராகக் குறிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த மனிதரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு,

And Moses and Aaron took these men which are expressed by their names:

இரண்டாம் மாதம் முதல் தேதியில் சபையார் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரச்செய்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள்தங்கள் குடும்பத்தின்படிக்கும், பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின்படிக்கும், நாமத்தொகையின்படிக்கும், இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் தலைதலையாகத் தங்கள் வம்ச உற்பத்தியைத் தெரிவித்தார்கள்.

And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

இப்படிக் கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, மோசே அவர்களைச் சீனாய் வனாந்தரத்தில் எண்ணிப்பார்த்தான்.

As the LORD commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

இஸ்ரவேலின் மூத்தகுமாரனாகிய ரூபன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

And the children of Reuben, Israel's eldest son, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

ரூபன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தாறாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

சிமியோன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் தலைதலையாக எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Simeon, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, those that were numbered of them, according to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்தொன்பதினாயிரத்து முந்நூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

காத் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

காத் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தையாயிரத்து அறுநூற்று ஐம்பதுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Gad, were forty and five thousand six hundred and fifty.

யூதா புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

யூதா கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், எழுபத்து நாலாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Judah, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

இசக்கார் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Issachar, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் ஐம்பத்து நாலாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

செபுலோன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்தேழாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

யோசேப்பின் குமாரரில் எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Joseph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பதினாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand and five hundred.

மனாசே புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Manasseh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

மனாசே கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், முப்பத்தீராயிரத்து இருநூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

பென்யமீன் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், முப்பத்தையாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

தாண் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Dan, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

தாண் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், அறுபத்தீராயிரத்து எழுநூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

ஆசேர் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள் முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Asher, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், நாற்பத்தோராயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Asher, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

நப்தலி புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வீட்டு வம்சத்தாரில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்க புருஷர்கள் எல்லாரும் எண்ணப்பட்டபோது,

Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள், ஐம்பத்து மூவாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

Those that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் இவர்களே; மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் ஒவ்வொரு வம்சத்துக்கு ஒவ்வொரு பிரபுவாகிய பன்னிரண்டுபேரும் எண்ணினார்கள்.

These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் இருபது வயதுள்ளவர்கள்முதல், இஸ்ரவேலில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படத்தக்கவர்களாகிய எண்ணப்பட்ட பேர்கள் எல்லாரும்,

So were all those that were numbered of the children of Israel, by the house of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Israel;

ஆறுலட்சத்து மூவாயிரத்து ஐந்நூற்று ஐம்பது பேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

Even all they that were numbered were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

லேவியர் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய கோத்திரத்தின்படியே, மற்றவர்களுடனே எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

For the LORD had spoken unto Moses, saying,

நீ லேவி கோத்திரத்தாரை மாத்திரம் எண்ணாமலும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குள்ளே அவர்கள் தொகையை ஏற்றாமலும்,

Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the sum of them among the children of Israel:

லேவியரைச் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்திற்கும், அதினுடைய சகல பணிமுட்டுகளுக்கும், அதிலுள்ள சமஸ்த பொருள்களுக்கும் விசாரிப்புக்காரராக ஏற்படுத்து; அவர்கள் வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் அதின் சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும் சுமப்பார்களாக; அதினிடத்தில் ஊழியம் செய்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்கக்கடவர்கள்.

But thou shalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of testimony, and over all the vessels thereof, and over all things that belong to it: they shall bear the tabernacle, and all the vessels thereof; and they shall minister unto it, and shall encamp round about the tabernacle.

வாசஸ்தலம் புறப்படும்போது, லேவியர் அதை இறக்கிவைத்து, அது ஸ்தாபனம் பண்ணப்படும்போது, லேவியர் அதை எடுத்து நிறுத்தக்கடவர்கள்; அந்நியன் அதற்குச் சமீபத்தில் வந்தால் கொலை செய்யப்படக்கடவன்.

And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger that cometh nigh shall be put to death.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் தங்கள் தங்கள் பாளயத்தோடும், தங்கள் தங்கள் சேனையின் கொடியோடும் கூடாரம் போடக்கடவர்கள்.

And the children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, throughout their hosts.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையின்மேல் கடுங்கோபம் வராதபடிக்கு லேவியர் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்கி, லேவியர் சாட்சியின் வாசஸ்தலத்தைக் காவல்காப்பார்களாக என்றார்.

But the Levites shall pitch round about the tabernacle of testimony, that there be no wrath upon the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony.

கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி எல்லாவற்றையும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் செய்தார்கள்.

And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did they.

எண்ணாகமம் அத்தியாயம் 2

கர்த்தர் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சத்தின் விருதாகிய தங்கள் தங்கள் கொடியண்டையிலே தங்கள் கூடாரங்களைப் போட்டு, ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திற்கு எதிராகச் சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்கக்கடவர்கள்.

Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.

யூதாவின் பாளயத்துக் கொடியையுடைய சேனைகள் சூரியன் உதிக்கும் கீழ்ப்புறத்திலே பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; அம்மினதாபின் குமாரனாகிய நகசோன் யூதா சந்ததிக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.

எண்ணப்பட்ட அவனுடைய சேனை எழுபத்துநாலாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.

அவன் அருகே இசக்கார் கோத்திரத்தார் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; சூவாரின் குமாரன் நெதநெயேல் இசக்கார் சந்ததிக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

And those that do pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethaneel the son of Zuar shall be captain of the children of Issachar.

எண்ணப்பட்ட அவனுடைய சேனை ஐம்பத்து நாலாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

அவன் அருகே செபுலோன் கோத்திரத்தார் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; ஏலோனின் குமாரனாகிய எலியாப் செபுலோன் சந்ததிக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab the son of Helon shall be captain of the children of Zebulun.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் ஐம்பத்தேழாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.

எண்ணப்பட்ட யூதாவின் பாளயத்தார் எல்லாரும் தங்கள் சேனைகளின்படியே இலட்சத்து எண்பத்து ஆறாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்; இவர்கள் பிரயாணத்திலே முதற்பாளயமாய்ப் போகக்கடவர்கள்.

All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were an hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth.

ரூபனுடைய பாளயத்துக் கொடியையுடைய சேனைகள் தென்புறத்தில் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; சேதேயூரின் குமாரனாகிய எலிசூர் ரூபன் சந்ததியாருக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் நாற்பத்தாறாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.

அவன் அருகே சிமியோன் கோத்திரத்தார் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; சூரிஷதாயின் குமாரனாகிய செலூமியேல் சிமியோன் சந்ததியாருக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

And those which pitch by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் ஐம்பத்தொன்பதினாயிரத்து முந்நூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

அவன் அருகே காத் கோத்திரத்தார் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; தேகுவேலின் குமாரனாகிய எலியாசாப் காத் சந்ததியாருக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் நாற்பத்தையாயிரத்து அறுநூற்று ஐம்பதுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.

எண்ணப்பட்ட ரூபனின் பாளயத்தார் எல்லாரும் தங்கள் சேனைகளின்படியே இலட்சத்து ஐம்பத்து ஓராயிரத்து நானூற்று ஐம்பதுபேர்; இவர்கள் பிராயணத்தில் இரண்டாம் பாளயமாய்ப் போகக்கடவர்கள்.

All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were an hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the second rank.

பின்பு ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரம் லேவியரின் சேனையோடே பாளயங்களின் நடுவே பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போகவேண்டும்; எப்படிப் பாளயமிறங்குகிறார்களோ, அப்படியே அவரவர் தங்கள் வரிசையிலே தங்கள் கொடிகளோடே பிரயாணமாய்ப் போகக்கடவர்கள்.

Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.

எப்பிராயீமுடைய பாளயத்துக்கொடியையுடைய சேனைகள் மேல்புறத்தில் இறங்கவேண்டும், அம்மியூதின் குமாரனாகிய எலிஷாமா எப்பிராயீமின் சந்ததிக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் நாற்பதினாயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.

And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the captain of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் முப்பத்தீராயிரத்து இருநூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

அவன் அருகே பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்தார் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; கீதெயோனின் குமாரனாகிய அபீதான் பென்யமீன் சந்ததிக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் முப்பத்தையாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

எண்ணப்பட்ட எப்பிராயீமின் பாளயத்தார் எல்லாரும் தங்கள் சேனைகளின்படியே இலட்சத்து எண்ணாயிரத்து நூறுபேர்; இவர்கள் பிரயாணத்தில் மூன்றாம் பாளயமாய்ப் போகக்கடவர்கள்.

All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were an hundred thousand and eight thousand and an hundred, throughout their armies. And they shall go forward in the third rank.

தாணுடைய பாளயத்துக் கொடியையுடைய சேனைகள் வடபுறத்தில் இறங்கவேண்டும்; அம்மிஷதாயின் குமாரனாகிய அகியேசேர் தாண் வம்சத்திற்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் அறுபத்தீராயிரத்து எழுநூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.

அவன் அருகே ஆசேர் கோத்திரத்தார் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; ஓகிரானின் குமாரனாகிய பாகியேல் ஆசேர் சந்ததிக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் நாற்பத்தோராயிரத்து ஐந்நூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.

அவன் அருகே நப்தலி கோத்திரத்தார் பாளயமிறங்கவேண்டும்; ஏனானின் குமாரனாகிய அகீரா நப்தலி சந்ததியாருக்குச் சேனாபதியாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.

அவனுடைய சேனையில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் ஐம்பத்து மூவாயிரத்து நானூறுபேர்.

And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

எண்ணப்பட்ட தாணின் பாளயத்தார் எல்லாரும் இலட்சத்து ஐம்பத்தேழாயிரத்து அறுநூறுபேர்; இவர்கள் தங்கள் கொடிகளோடே பின்பாளயமாய்ப் போகக்கடவர்கள்.

All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were an hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall go hindmost with their standards.

இவர்களே தங்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தின்படி இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரில் எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள். பாளயங்களிலே தங்கள் தங்கள் சேனைகளின்படியே எண்ணப்பட்டவர்கள் எல்லாரும் ஆறுலட்சத்து மூவாயிரத்து ஐந்நூற்று ஐம்பது பேராயிருந்தார்கள்.

These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

லேவியரோ, கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குள்ளே எண்ணப்படவில்லை.

But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.

கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் செய்து, தங்கள் தங்கள் கொடிகளின்கீழ் பாளயமிறங்கி, தங்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய வம்சங்களின்படியே பிரயாணப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள்.

And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

பின்னும் அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கி: ஐசுவரியவானாகிய ஒரு மனுஷனுக்கு ஒரு உக்கிராணக்காரன் இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் எஜமானுடைய ஆஸ்திகளை அழித்துப்போடுகிறதாக எஜமானுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

அப்பொழுது எஜமான் அவனை வரவழைத்து: உன்னைக்குறித்து நான் இப்படிக் கேள்விப்படுகிறதென்ன? உன் உக்கிராணக் கணக்கையொப்புவி, இனி நீ உக்கிராணக்காரனாயிருக்கக்கூடாது என்றான்.

And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

அப்பொழுது உக்கிராணக்காரன்: நான் என்ன செய்வேன், என் எஜமான் உக்கிராண விசாரிப்பிலிருந்து என்னைத் தள்ளிப்போடுகிறானே; கொத்துகிறதற்கு எனக்குப் பெலனில்லை, இரக்கவும் வெட்கப்படுகிறேன்.

Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

உக்கிராண விசாரிப்பைவிட்டு நான் தள்ளப்படும்போது, என்னைத் தங்கள் வீடுகளில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவார் உண்டாகும்படி செய்யவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று எனக்குத் தெரியவந்தது, என்று தனக்குள்ளே சொல்லிக்கொண்டு;

I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

தன் எஜமானிடத்தில் கடன்பட்டவர்களை ஒவ்வொருவனாக வரவழைத்து: முதலாவது வந்தவனை நோக்கி: நீ என் எஜமானிடத்தில் பட்ட கடன் எவ்வளவு என்றான்.

So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?

அவன்: நூறுகுடம் எண்ணெய் என்றான். அப்பொழுது உக்கிராணக்காரன் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ உன் சீட்டை வாங்கி, உட்கார்ந்து, ஐம்பது என்று சீக்கிரமாய் எழுது என்றான்.

And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.

பின்பு அவன் வேறொருவனை நோக்கி: நீ பட்ட கடன் எவ்வளவு என்றான். அவன்: நூறு கலம் கோதுமை என்றான். அப்பொழுது அவன்: நீ உன் சீட்டை வாங்கி, எண்பது என்று எழுது என்றான்.

Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.

அநீதியுள்ள உக்கிராணக்காரன் புத்தியாய்ச் செய்தான் என்று எஜமான் கண்டு, அவனை மெச்சிக்கொண்டான். இவ்விதமாய் ஒளியின் பிள்ளைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் இந்தப் பிரபஞ்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகள் தங்கள் சந்ததியில் அதிக புத்திமான்களாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன், நீங்கள் மாளும்போது உங்களை நித்தியமான வீடுகளிலே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுவாருண்டாகும்படி, அநீதியான உலகப்பொருளால் உங்களுக்குச் சிநேகிதரைச் சம்பாதியுங்கள்.

And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

கொஞ்சத்திலே உண்மையுள்ளவன் அநேகத்திலும் உண்மையுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான், கொஞ்சத்திலே அநீதியுள்ளவன் அநேகத்திலும் அநீதியுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான்.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

அநீதியான உலகப்பொருளைப்பற்றி நீங்கள் உண்மையாயிராவிட்டால், யார் உங்களை நம்பி உங்களிடத்தில் மெய்யானபொருளை ஒப்புவிப்பார்கள்?

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

வேறொருவனுடைய காரியத்தில் நீங்கள் உண்மையுள்ளவர்களாயிராவிட்டால், உங்களுக்கு யாதொன்றைச் சொந்தமாகக் கொடுப்பவர் யார்?

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

எந்த ஊழியக்காரனும் இரண்டு எஜமான்களுக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்யக்கூடாது; ஒருவனைப் பகைத்து மற்றவனைச் சிநேகிப்பான், அல்லது ஒருவனைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு மற்றவனை அசட்டைபண்ணுவான். தேவனுக்கும் உலகப்பொருளுக்கும் ஊழியஞ்செய்ய உங்களாலே கூடாது என்றார்.

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

இவைகளையெல்லாம் பொருளாசைக்காரராகிய பரிசேயரும் கேட்டு, அவரைப் பரியாசம் பண்ணினார்கள்.

And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மனுஷர்முன்பாக உங்களை நீதிமான்களாகக் காட்டுகிறீர்கள், தேவனோ உங்கள் இருதயங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிறார்; மனுஷருக்குள்ளே மேன்மையாக எண்ணப்படுகிறது தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக அருவருப்பாயிருக்கிறது.

And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.

நியாயப்பிரமாணமும் தீர்க்கதரிசனவாக்கியங்களும் யோவான்வரைக்கும் வழங்கிவந்தது; அதுமுதல் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் சுவிசேஷமாய் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுவருகிறது, யாவரும் பலவந்தமாய் அதில் பிரவேசிக்கிறார்கள்.

The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

வேதத்தில் ஒரு எழுத்தின் உறுப்பு அவமாய்ப் போவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், வானமும் பூமியும் ஒழிந்துபோவது எளிதாயிருக்கும்.

And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

தன் மனைவியைத் தள்ளிவிட்டு, வேறொருத்தியை விவாகம்பண்ணுகிறவன் விபசாரஞ்செய்கிறான், புருஷனாலே தள்ளப்பட்டவளை விவாகம்பண்ணுகிறவனும் விபசாரஞ்செய்கிறான்.

Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.

ஐசுவரியமுள்ள ஒரு மனுஷன் இருந்தான்; அவன் இரத்தாம்பரமும் விலையேறப்பெற்ற வஸ்திரமும் தரித்து, அநுதினமும் சம்பிரமமாய் வாழ்ந்துகொண்டிருந்தான்.

There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:

லாசரு என்னும் பேர்கொண்ட ஒரு தரித்திரனும் இருந்தான்; அவன் பருக்கள் நிறைந்தவனாய், அந்த ஐசுவரியவானுடைய வாசலருகே கிடந்து,

And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

அவனுடைய மேஜையிலிருந்து விழுந்த துணிக்கைகளாலே தன் பசியை ஆற்ற ஆசையாயிருந்தான்; நாய்கள் வந்து அவன் பருக்களை நக்கிற்று.

And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

பின்பு அந்தத் தரித்திரன் மரித்து, தேவதூதரால் ஆபிரகாமுடைய மடியிலே கொண்டுபோய் விடப்பட்டான்; ஐசுவரியவானும் மரித்து அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்.

And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

பாதாளத்திலே அவன் வேதனைப்படுகிறபோது, தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, தூரத்திலே ஆபிரகாமையும் அவன் மடியிலே லாசருவையும் கண்டான்.

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமே, நீர் எனக்கு இரங்கி, லாசரு தன் விரலின் நுனியைத் தண்ணிரீல் தோய்த்து, என் நாவைக் குளிரப்பண்ணும்படி அவனை அனுப்பவேண்டும்; இந்த அக்கினிஜீவாலையில் வேதனைப்படுகிறேனே என்று கூப்பிட்டான்.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம்: மகனே, நீ பூமியிலே உயிரோடிருக்குங்காலத்தில் உன் நன்மைகளை அனுபவித்தாய், லாசருவும் அப்படியே தீமைகளை அனுபவித்தான், அதை நினைத்துக்கொள்; இப்பொழுது அவன் தேற்றப்படுகிறான், நீயோ வேதனைப்படுகிறாய்.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

அதுவுமல்லாமல், இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து உங்களிடத்திற்குக் கடந்துபோகவும், அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து எங்களிடத்திற்குக் கடந்துவரவும் மனதுள்ளவர்களுக்குக் கூடாதபடிக்கு, எங்களுக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் நடுவே பெரும்பிளப்பு உண்டாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது என்றான்.

And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: அப்படியானால், தகப்பனே, எனக்கு ஐந்துபேர் சகோதரருண்டு, அவர்களும் வேதனையுள்ள இந்த இடத்துக்கு வராதபடி, அவன் போய் அவர்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக அறிவிக்கும் பொருட்டு,

Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

நீர் அவனை என் தகப்பன் வீட்டுக்கு அனுப்பும்படி உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்றான்.

For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

ஆபிரகாம் அவனை நோக்கி: அவர்களுக்கு மோசேயும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் உண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் செவிகொடுக்கட்டும் என்றான்.

Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

அதற்கு அவன்: அப்படியல்ல, தகப்பனாகிய ஆபிரகாமே, மரித்தோரிலிருந்து ஒருவன் அவர்களிடத்திற்குப்போனால் மனந்திரும்புவார்கள் என்றான்.

And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

அதற்கு அவன்: அவர்கள் மோசேக்கும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும் செவிகொடாவிட்டால், மரித்தோரிலிருந்து ஒருவன் எழுந்துபோனாலும், நம்பமாட்டார்கள் என்று சொன்னான் என்றார்.

And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
