பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

குஷ்டரோகியினுடைய சுத்திகரிப்பின் நாளில் அவனுக்கடுத்த பிரமாணம் என்னவென்றால்: அவன் ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரப்படவேண்டும்.

This shall be the law of the leper in the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought unto the priest:

ஆசாரியன் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே போய்; குஷ்டரோகியின் குஷ்டவியாதி சொஸ்தமாயிற்று என்று கண்டால்,

And the priest shall go forth out of the camp; and the priest shall look, and, behold, if the plague of leprosy be healed in the leper;

சுத்திகரிக்கப்படவேண்டியவனுக்காக, உயிரோடிருக்கும் சுத்தமான இரண்டு குருவிகளையும், கேதுருக் கட்டையையும், சிவப்புநூலையும், ஈசோப்பையும் வாங்கிவரக் கட்டைளையிடக்கடவன்.

Then shall the priest command to take for him that is to be cleansed two birds alive and clean, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

பின்பு, ஆசாரியன் அந்தக் குருவிகளில் ஒன்றை ஒரு மண்பாண்டத்திலுள்ள ஊற்றுநீர்மேல் கொல்லச்சொல்லி,

And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water:

உயிருள்ள குருவியையும், கேதுருக்கட்டையையும், சிவப்புநூலையும், ஈசோப்பையும் எடுத்து, இவைகளையும் உயிருள்ள குருவியையும் ஊற்றுநீர்மேல் கொல்லப்பட்ட குருவியின் இரத்தத்திலே தோய்த்து,

As for the living bird, he shall take it, and the cedar wood, and the scarlet, and the hyssop, and shall dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water:

குஷ்டம் நீங்கச் சுத்திரிக்கப்படுகிறவன்மேல் ஏழுதரம் தெளித்து, அவனை சுத்தம்பண்ணி, உயிருள்ள குருவியை வெளியிலே விட்டுவிடக்கடவன்.

And he shall sprinkle upon him that is to be cleansed from the leprosy seven times, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose into the open field.

சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, தன் மயிர் முழுவதையும் சிரைத்து, தான் சுத்தமாகும்படி ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, பின்பு பாளயத்தில் பிரவேசித்து, தன் கூடாரத்துக்குப் புறம்பே ஏழுநாள் தங்கி,

And he that is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, and shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean: and after that he shall come into the camp, and shall tarry abroad out of his tent seven days.

ஏழாம் நாளிலே தன் தலையையும் தாடியையும் புருவங்களையும் தன்னுடைய மயிர்முழுவதையும் சிரைத்து, தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணவேண்டும்; அப்பொழுது சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

But it shall be on the seventh day, that he shall shave all his hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shall shave off: and he shall wash his clothes, also he shall wash his flesh in water, and he shall be clean.

எட்டாம்நாளிலே அவன் பழுதற்ற இரண்டு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், ஒருவயதான பழுதற்ற ஒரு பெண்ணாட்டுக்குட்டியையும், போஜனபலிக்காக எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த ஒரு மரக்காலில் பத்தில் மூன்று பங்காகிய மெல்லிய மாவையும், ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும் கொண்டுவரக்கடவன்.

And on the eighth day he shall take two he lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb of the first year without blemish, and three tenth deals of fine flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.

சுத்திகரிக்கிற ஆசாரியன் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும் மனிதனையும் அவ்வஸ்துக்களையும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நிறுத்தக்கடவன்.

And the priest that maketh him clean shall present the man that is to be made clean, and those things, before the LORD, at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation:

பின்பு, ஆசாரியன் ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைப் பிடித்து, அதையும் அந்த ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும் குற்றநிவாரணபலியாகக் கொண்டுவந்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் பலியாக அசைவாட்டி,

And the priest shall take one he lamb, and offer him for a trespass offering, and the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:

பாவநிவாரணபலியும் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியும் இடும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே அந்த ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைக் கொல்லக்கடவன்; குற்றநிவாரணபலி பாவநிவாரணபலியைப்போல ஆசாரியனுக்கு உரியது; அது மகா பரிசுத்தமானது.

And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy:

அந்த குற்றநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தத்தில் ஆசாரியன் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும் பூசக்கடவன்.

And the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

பின்பு, ஆசாரியன் அந்த ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயிலே கொஞ்சம் தன் இடதுகையில் வார்த்து,

And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand:

தன் இடதுகையிலுள்ள எண்ணெயில் தன் வலதுகையின் விரலைத் தோய்த்து, தன் விரலினால் ஏழுதரம் அந்த எண்ணெயில் எடுத்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் தெளித்து,

And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle of the oil with his finger seven times before the LORD:

தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற மீதியான எண்ணெயிலே கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து சுத்திகரிக்கபடுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும், முந்தப் பூசியிருக்கிற குற்றநிவாரண பலியினுடைய இரத்தத்தின்மேல் பூசி,

And of the rest of the oil that is in his hand shall the priest put upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering:

தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற மீதியான எண்ணெயைச் சுத்திகரிக்கபடுகிறவன் தலையிலே வார்த்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அவனுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்.

And the remnant of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall pour upon the head of him that is to be cleansed: and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the LORD.

ஆசாரியன் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும் செலுத்தி, சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவனின் தீட்டு நீங்க, அவனுக்குப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்து, பின்பு சர்வாங்கதகனபலியைக் கொன்று,

And the priest shall offer the sin offering, and make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed from his uncleanness; and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering:

சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் போஜனபலியையும் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் வைத்து, அவனுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அவன் சுத்தமாயிருப்பான்.

And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meat offering upon the altar: and the priest shall make an atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

அவன் இம்மாத்திரம் செய்யத்திராணியற்ற தரித்திரனாயிருந்தால், அவன் தன் பாவநிவிர்த்திக்கென்று அசைவாட்டும் குற்றநிவாரணபலியாக ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையும், போஜனபலிக்கு எண்ணெயில் பிசைந்த ஒரு மரக்கால் மெல்லிய மாவிலே பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கையும், ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும்,

And if he be poor, and cannot get so much; then he shall take one lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make an atonement for him, and one tenth deal of fine flour mingled with oil for a meat offering, and a log of oil;

தன் திராணிக்குத் தக்கபடி இரண்டு காட்டுப்புறாக்களையாவது இரண்டு புறாக்குஞ்சுகளையாவது, ஒன்று பாவநிவாரணபலியாகவும், மற்றொன்று சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்தும்படி வாங்கி,

And two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, such as he is able to get; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

தான் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும்படி எட்டாம் நாளில் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் ஆசாரியனிடத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவருவானாக.

And he shall bring them on the eighth day for his cleansing unto the priest, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, before the LORD.

அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியன் குற்றநிவாரணபலிக்குரிய ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையும் அந்த ஆழாக்கு எண்ணெயையும் வாங்கி, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் போஜனபலியாக அசைவாட்டி,

And the priest shall take the lamb of the trespass offering, and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the LORD:

குற்றநிவாரணபலிக்கான அந்த ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைக் கொன்று, குற்றநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும் பூசி,

And he shall kill the lamb of the trespass offering, and the priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot:

அந்த எண்ணெயிலே கொஞ்சம் தன் இடதுகையில் வார்த்து,

And the priest shall pour of the oil into the palm of his own left hand:

தன் இடதுகையிலுள்ள எண்ணெயிலே தன் வலதுவிரலைத் தோய்த்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் ஏழுதரம் தெளித்து,

And the priest shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the LORD:

தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற எண்ணெயில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்துச் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும், அவன் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும், வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும் குற்றநிவாரணபலியின் இரத்தம் பூசியிருக்கிற இடத்தின்மேல் பூசி,

And the priest shall put of the oil that is in his hand upon the tip of the right ear of him that is to be cleansed, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot, upon the place of the blood of the trespass offering:

தன் உள்ளங்கையில் இருக்கிற மற்ற எண்ணெயைச் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவன் தலையின்மேல் அவனுக்காகக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படி தடவி,

And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put upon the head of him that is to be cleansed, to make an atonement for him before the LORD.

பின்பு, அவன் தன் திராணிக்கும் தகுதிக்கும் தக்கதாய் காட்டுப்புறாக்களையாவது புறாக்குஞ்சுகளையாவது கொண்டுவந்து,

And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get;

அவைகளில் ஒன்றைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியும், மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியுமாக்கி, போஜனபலியோடேகூடச் செலுத்தி, இப்படியே ஆசாரியன் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படுகிறவனுக்காக, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்.

Even such as he is able to get, the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, with the meat offering: and the priest shall make an atonement for him that is to be cleansed before the LORD.

தன் சுத்திகரிப்புக்கு வேண்டியவைகளைச் சம்பாதிக்கக்கூடாத குஷ்டரோகியைக் குறித்த பிரமாணம் இதுவே என்றார்.

This is the law of him in whom is the plague of leprosy, whose hand is not able to get that which pertaineth to his cleansing.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயையும் ஆரோனையும் நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

நான் உங்களுக்குக் காணியாட்சியாகக் கொடுக்கும் கானான் தேசத்திலே நீங்கள் போய்ச் சேர்ந்தபின்பு, உங்கள் காணியாட்சியான தேசத்தில் ஒரு வீட்டிலே குஷ்டரோகத்தை நான் வரப்பண்ணினால்,

When ye be come into the land of Canaan, which I give to you for a possession, and I put the plague of leprosy in a house of the land of your possession;

அந்த வீட்டிற்கு உடையவன் வந்து, வீட்டிலே தோஷம் வந்திருக்கிறதாகத் தோன்றுகிறது என்று ஆசாரியனுக்கு அறிவிக்கக்கடவன்.

And he that owneth the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, It seemeth to me there is as it were a plague in the house:

அப்பொழுது வீட்டிலுள்ள யாவும் தீட்டுப்படாதபடிக்கு, ஆசாரியன் அந்தத் தோஷத்தைப் பார்க்கப் போகும்முன்னே வீட்டை ஒழித்துவைக்கும்படி சொல்லி, பின்பு வீட்டைப் பார்க்கும்படி போய்,

Then the priest shall command that they empty the house, before the priest go into it to see the plague, that all that is in the house be not made unclean: and afterward the priest shall go in to see the house:

அந்தத் தோஷம் இருக்கிற இடத்தைப் பார்க்கக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது வீட்டுச் சுவர்களிலே கொஞ்சம் பச்சையும் கொஞ்சம் சிவப்புமான குழி விழுந்திருந்து, அவைகள் மற்றச் சுவரைப்பார்க்கிலும் பள்ளமாயிருக்கக்கண்டால்,

And he shall look on the plague, and, behold, if the plague be in the walls of the house with hollow strakes, greenish or reddish, which in sight are lower than the wall;

ஆசாரியன் வீட்டைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு வாசற்படியிலே வந்து, வீட்டை ஏழுநாள் அடைத்துவைத்து,

Then the priest shall go out of the house to the door of the house, and shut up the house seven days:

ஏழாம்நாளிலே திரும்பப் போய்ப்பார்த்து, தோஷம் வீட்டுச் சுவர்களில் படர்ந்ததென்று கண்டால்,

And the priest shall come again the seventh day, and shall look: and, behold, if the plague be spread in the walls of the house;

தோஷம் இருக்கும் அவ்விடத்துக்கல்லுகளைப் பெயர்க்கவும், பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அசுத்தமான ஒரு இடத்திலே போடவும் அவன் கட்டளையிட்டு,

Then the priest shall command that they take away the stones in which the plague is, and they shall cast them into an unclean place without the city:

வீட்டை உள்ளே சுற்றிலும் செதுக்கச்சொல்லி, செதுக்கிப்போட்ட மண்ணைப் பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அசுத்தமான ஒரு இடத்திலே கொட்டவும்,

And he shall cause the house to be scraped within round about, and they shall pour out the dust that they scrape off without the city into an unclean place:

வேறே கல்லுகளை எடுத்துவந்து, அந்தக் கல்லுகளுக்குப் பதிலாகக் கட்டி, வேறே சாந்தை எடுத்து வீட்டைப் பூசவும் கட்டளையிடுவானாக.

And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall plaister the house.

கல்லுகளைப் பெயர்த்து, வீட்டைச்செதுக்கி, நவமாய்ப் பூசினபின்பும், அந்தத் தோஷம் திரும்ப வீட்டில் வந்ததானால்,

And if the plague come again, and break out in the house, after that he hath taken away the stones, and after he hath scraped the house, and after it is plaistered;

ஆசாரியன் போய்ப் பார்க்கக்கடவன்; தோஷம் வீட்டில் படர்ந்ததானால், அது வீட்டை அரிக்கிற குஷ்டம்; அது தீட்டாயிருக்கும்.

Then the priest shall come and look, and, behold, if the plague be spread in the house, it is a fretting leprosy in the house: it is unclean.

ஆகையால் வீடுமுழுவதையும் இடித்து, அதின் கல்லுகளையும், மரங்களையும், அதின் சாந்து எல்லாவற்றையும் பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அசுத்தமான இடத்திலே கொண்டுபோகவேண்டும்.

And he shall break down the house, the stones of it, and the timber thereof, and all the morter of the house; and he shall carry them forth out of the city into an unclean place.

வீடு அடைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் நாட்களில் அதற்குள் பிரவேசிக்கிறவன் சாயங்காலம்மட்டும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருப்பான்.

Moreover he that goeth into the house all the while that it is shut up shall be unclean until the even.

அந்த வீட்டிலே படுத்தவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்கக்கடவன்; அந்த வீட்டிலே சாப்பிட்டவனும் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்க்கக்கடவன்.

And he that lieth in the house shall wash his clothes; and he that eateth in the house shall wash his clothes.

ஆசாரியன் திரும்ப வந்து, வீடு பூசப்பட்டபின்பு வீட்டிலே அந்தத் தோஷம் படரவில்லை என்று கண்டானேயாகில், தோஷம் நிவிர்த்தியானபடியால், ஆசாரியன் அந்த வீட்டைச் சுத்தம் என்று தீர்க்கக்கடவன்.

And if the priest shall come in, and look upon it, and, behold, the plague hath not spread in the house, after the house was plaistered: then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

அப்பொழுது வீட்டிற்குத் தோஷங்கழிக்க, இரண்டு குருவிகளையும், கேதுருக்கட்டையையும், சிவப்புநூலையும், ஈசோப்பையும் எடுத்து,

And he shall take to cleanse the house two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop:

ஒரு குருவியை ஒரு மண்பாண்டத்திலுள்ள ஊற்றுநீரின்மேல் கொன்று,

And he shall kill the one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water:

And he shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times:

குருவியின் இரத்தத்தினாலும், ஊற்றுநீரினாலும், உயிருள்ள குருவியினாலும், கேதுருக்கட்டையினாலும் ஈசோப்பினாலும், சிவப்புநூலினாலும் வீட்டிற்குத் தோஷங்கழித்து,

And he shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, and with the living bird, and with the cedar wood, and with the hyssop, and with the scarlet:

உயிருள்ள குருவியைப் பட்டணத்துக்குப் புறம்பே வெளியிலே விட்டுவிட்டு, இப்படி வீட்டிற்குப் பிராயச்சித்தம் செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது சுத்தமாயிருக்கும்.

But he shall let go the living bird out of the city into the open fields, and make an atonement for the house: and it shall be clean.

இது சகலவித குஷ்டரோகத்துக்கும், சொறிக்கும்,

This is the law for all manner of plague of leprosy, and scall,

வஸ்திரக் குஷ்டத்துக்கும், வீட்டுக்குஷ்டத்துக்கும்,

And for the leprosy of a garment, and of a house,

தடிப்புக்கும், அசறுக்கும், வெள்ளைப்படருக்கும் அடுத்த பிரமாணம்.

And for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot:

குஷ்டம் எப்பொழுது தீட்டுள்ளது என்றும், எப்பொழுது தீட்டில்லாதது என்றும் தெரிவிப்பதற்குக் குஷ்டரோகத்துக்கு அடுத்த பிரமாணம் இதுவே என்றார்.

To teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean: this is the law of leprosy.

லூக்கா அத்தியாயம் 9

அவர் தம்முடைய பன்னிரண்டு சீஷரையும் வரவழைத்து, சகல பிசாசுகளையும் துரத்தவும், வியாதியுள்ளவர்களைக் குணமாக்கவும், அவர்களுக்கு வல்லமையும் அதிகாரமும் கொடுத்து,

Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைக்குறித்துப் பிரசங்கிக்கவும், பிணியாளிகளைச் சொஸ்தமாக்கவும் அவர்களை அனுப்பினார்.

And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: வழிக்குத் தடியையாவது பையையாவது அப்பத்தையாவது காசையாவது எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போகவேண்டாம்; இரண்டு அங்கிகளைக் கொண்டுபோகவும்வேண்டாம்.

And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

எந்த வீட்டிலே பிரவேசிக்கிறீர்களோ, அங்கே தங்கி, அங்கிருந்து புறப்படுங்கள்.

And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

உங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாதவர்கள் எவர்களோ அவர்களுடைய ஊரைவிட்டு நீங்கள் புறப்படும்போது, அவர்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக உங்கள் கால்களில் படிந்ததூசியை உதறிப்போடுங்கள் என்றார்.

And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

அவர்கள் புறப்பட்டுப்போய், கிராமங்கள்தோறும் திரிந்து, எங்கும் சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பிரசங்கித்து, பிணியாளிகளைக் குணமாக்கினார்கள்.

And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where.

அப்பொழுது காற்பங்கு தேசாதிபதியாகிய ஏரோது அவரால் செய்யப்பட்ட யாவையும் கேள்விப்பட்டதுமன்றி; சிலர் யோவான் மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுந்தான் என்றும்,

Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead;

சிலர் எலியா தோன்றினான் என்றும், வேறு சிலர் பூர்வகாலத்துத் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவன் உயிர்த்தெழுந்தான் என்றும் சொல்லிக்கொண்டபடியால், கலக்கமடைந்து:

And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.

யோவானை நான் சிரச்சேதம்பண்ணினேன், இவன் இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளைச் செய்கிறான் என்று கேள்விப்படுகிறேனே! இவன் யார்? என்று ஏரோது சொல்லி, அவரைப் பார்க்கவிரும்பினான்.

And Herod said, John have I beheaded: but who is this, of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see him.

அப்போஸ்தலர் திரும்பிவந்து, தாங்கள் செய்த யாவையும் அவருக்கு விவரித்துச் சொன்னார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, தனித்திருக்கும்படி பெத்சாயிதா என்னும் பட்டணத்தைச் சேர்ந்த வனாந்தரமான ஒரு இடத்துக்குப் போனார்.

And the apostles, when they were returned, told him all that they had done. And he took them, and went aside privately into a desert place belonging to the city called Bethsaida.

ஜனங்கள் அதை அறிந்து, அவர் பின்னே போனார்கள்; அவர்களை அவர் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைக்குறித்து அவர்களுடனே பேசி, சொஸ்தமடையவேண்டுமென்றிருந்தவர்களைச் சொஸ்தப்படுத்தினார்.

And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

சாயங்காலமாகிறபோது, பன்னிருவரும் சேர்ந்துவந்து, அவரை நோக்கி: நாம் இருக்கிற இடம் வனாந்தரமாயிருக்கிறது, சுற்றியிருக்கிற ஊர்களிலும் கிராமங்களிலும் ஜனங்கள் போய்த் தங்கி, போஜனபதார்த்தங்களைச் சம்பாதித்துக் கொள்ளும்படி அவர்களை அனுப்பிவிடவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.

And when the day began to wear away, then came the twelve, and said unto him, Send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge, and get victuals: for we are here in a desert place.

அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்களே அவர்களுக்குப் போஜனங்கொடுங்கள் என்றார். அதற்கு அவர்கள்: எங்களிடத்தில் ஐந்து அப்பங்களும் இரண்டு மீன்களுமாத்திரமுண்டு, இந்த ஜனங்களெல்லாருக்கும் போஜனங்கொடுக்கவேண்டியதானால், நாங்கள் போய் வாங்கிக்கொண்டு வரவேண்டுமே என்றார்கள்.

But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

ஏறக்குறைய ஐயாயிரம் புருஷர் இருந்தார்கள். அவர்களைப் பந்திக்கு ஐம்பது ஐம்பதுபேராக உட்காரும்படி சொல்லுங்கள் என்று தம்முடைய சீஷர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்.

For they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down by fifties in a company.

அவர்கள் அந்தப்படியே எல்லாரையும் உட்காரும்படி செய்தார்கள்.

And they did so, and made them all sit down.

அப்பொழுது அவர் அந்த ஐந்து அப்பங்களையும் அந்த இரண்டு மீன்களையும் எடுத்து, வானத்தை அண்ணாந்து பார்த்து, அவைகளை ஆசீர்வதித்து, பிட்டு, ஜனங்கள்முன் வைக்கும்படி சீஷர்களிடத்தில் கொடுத்தார்.

Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.

எல்லாரும் சாப்பிட்டுத் திருப்தியடைந்தார்கள். மீதியான துணிக்கைகள் பன்னிரண்டு கூடை நிறைய எடுக்கப்பட்டது.

And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.

பின்பு அவர் தமது சீஷரோடேகூடத் தனித்து ஜெபம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஜனங்கள் என்னை யார் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்று கேட்டார்.

And it came to pass, as he was alone praying, his disciples were with him: and he asked them, saying, Whom say the people that I am?

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: சிலர் உம்மை யோவான்ஸ்நானன் என்றும், சிலர் எலியா என்றும், வேறு சிலர் பூர்வகாலத்துத் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளில் ஒருவர் உயிர்த்தெழுந்தார் என்றும் சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்றார்கள்.

They answering said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elias; and others say, that one of the old prophets is risen again.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: நீங்கள் என்னை யார் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்; பேதுரு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நீர் தேவனுடைய கிறிஸ்து என்றான்.

He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அதை ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லாதபடிக்கு உறுதியாய்க் கட்டளையிட்டார்.

And he straitly charged them, and commanded them to tell no man that thing;

மேலும் மனுஷகுமாரன் பலபாடுகள்படவும், மூப்பராலும் பிரதான ஆசாரியராலும் வேதபாரகராலும் ஆகாதவனென்று தள்ளப்படவும், கொல்லப்படவும், மூன்றாம் நாளில் உயிர்த்தெழுந்திருக்கவும் வேண்டும் என்று சொன்னார்.

Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.

பின்பு அவர் எல்லாரையும் நோக்கி: ஒருவன் என் பின்னே வர விரும்பினால் அவன் தன்னைத்தான் வெறுத்து, தன் சிலுவையை அநுதினமும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, என்னைப் பின்பற்றக்கடவன்.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

தன் ஜீவனை இரட்சிக்க விரும்புகிறவன் அதை இழந்துபோவான்; என்னிமித்தமாகத் தன் ஜீவனை இழந்துபோகிறவன் அதை இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளுவான்.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

மனுஷன் உலகமுழுவதையும் ஆதாயப்படுத்திக்கொண்டாலும், தன்னைத்தான் கெடுத்து நஷ்டப்படுத்தினால் அவனுக்கு லாபம் என்ன?

For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

என்னைக்குறித்தும் என் வார்த்தைகளைக்குறித்தும் எவன் வெட்கப்படுகிறானோ, அவனைக்குறித்து மனுஷகுமாரனும் தம்முடைய மகிமையோடும் பிதாவின் மகிமையோடும் பரிசுத்த தூதர்களின் மகிமையோடும் வரும்போது வெட்கப்படுவார்.

For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

இங்கே நிற்கிறவர்களில் சிலர் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைக் காணுமுன், மரணத்தை ருசிபார்ப்பதில்லையென்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

இந்த வார்த்தைகளை அவர் சொல்லி ஏறக்குறைய எட்டுநாளானபின்பு, அவர் பேதுருவையும் யோவானையும் யாக்கோபையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, ஜெபம்பண்ணுகிறதற்கு ஒரு மலையின்மேல் ஏறினார்.

And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

அவர் ஜெபம்பண்ணுகையில் அவருடைய முகரூபம் மாறிற்று, அவருடைய வஸ்திரம் வெண்மையாகிப் பிரகாசித்தது.

And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

அன்றியும் மோசே எலியா என்னும் இரண்டுபேரும் மகிமையோடே காணப்பட்டு, அவருடனே சம்பாஷணைபண்ணி,

And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias:

அவர் எருசலேமிலே நிறைவேற்றப்போகிற அவருடைய மரணத்தைக்குறித்துப் பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

பேதுருவும் அவனோடிருந்தவர்களும் நித்திரைமயக்கமாயிருந்தார்கள். ஆகிலும் அவர்கள் விழித்து அவருடைய மகிமையையும் அவரோடே நின்ற அவ்விரண்டுபேரையும் கண்டார்கள்.

But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men that stood with him.

அவ்விருவரும் அவரைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்துபோகையில், பேதுரு இயேசுவை நோக்கி: ஐயரே, நாம் இங்கே இருக்கிறது நல்லது, உமக்கு ஒரு கூடாரமும், மோசேக்கு ஒரு கூடாரமும், எலியாவுக்கு ஒரு கூடாரமுமாக, மூன்று கூடாரங்களைப் போடுவோம் என்று, தான் சொல்லுகிறது இன்னதென்று அறியாமல் சொன்னான்.

And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.

இப்படி அவன் பேசுகையில், ஒரு மேகம் வந்து அவர்கள்மேல் நிழலிட்டது; அவர்கள் அந்த மேகத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கையில் சீஷர்கள் பயந்தார்கள்.

While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared as they entered into the cloud.

அப்பொழுது: இவர் என்னுடைய நேசகுமாரன், இவருக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள் என்று மேகத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தமுண்டாயிற்று.

And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

அந்தச் சத்தம் உண்டாகையில் இயேசு ஒருவரே காணப்பட்டார். தாங்கள் கண்டவைகளில் ஒன்றையும் அவர்கள் அந்நாட்களில் ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லாமல் அடக்கிவைத்திருந்தார்கள்.

And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen.

மறுநாளில் அவர்கள் மலையிலிருந்திறங்கினபோது, திரளான ஜனங்கள் அவருக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

அவர்களில் ஒருவன் சத்தமிட்டு: போதகரே, என் மகனைக் கடாட்சித்தருளவேண்டுமென்று உம்மை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன், அவன் எனக்கு ஒரே பிள்ளையாயிருக்கிறான்.

And, behold, a man of the company cried out, saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son: for he is mine only child.

ஒரு ஆவி அவனைப் பிடிக்கிறது. அப்பொழுது அலறுகிறான், அது அவனை நுரைதள்ள அலைக்கழித்து, அவனைக் கசக்கினபின்பும், அவனை விட்டு நீங்குவது அரிதாயிருக்கிறது.

And, lo, a spirit taketh him, and he suddenly crieth out; and it teareth him that he foameth again, and bruising him hardly departeth from him.

அதைத் துரத்திவிடும்படி உம்முடைய சீஷரை வேண்டிக்கொண்டேன், அவர்களால் கூடாமற்போயிற்று என்றான்.

And I besought thy disciples to cast him out; and they could not.

இயேசு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: விசுவாசமில்லாத மாறுபாடான சந்ததியே, எதுவரைக்கும் நான் உங்களோடிருந்து, உங்களிடத்தில் பொறுமையாயிருப்பேன்? உன் மகனை இங்கே கொண்டுவா என்றார்.

And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and suffer you? Bring thy son hither.

அவன் சமீபித்துவருகையில், பிசாசு அவனைக் கீழே தள்ளி, அலைக்கழித்தது. இயேசு அந்த அசுத்த ஆவியை அதட்டி, இளைஞனைக் குணமாக்கி, அவன் தகப்பனிடத்தில் அவனை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

அப்பொழுது எல்லாரும் தேவனுடைய மகத்துவத்தைக்குறித்துப் பிரமித்தார்கள். இயேசு செய்த யாவையுங்குறித்து அனைவரும் ஆச்சரியப்படுகையில் அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கி:

And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they wondered every one at all things which Jesus did, he said unto his disciples,

நீங்கள் இந்த வார்த்தைகளைக் கவனமாய்க் கேளுங்கள்; மனுஷகுமாரன் மனுஷர் கைகளில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படப்போகிறார் என்றார்.

Let these sayings sink down into your ears: for the Son of man shall be delivered into the hands of men.

அவர்கள் அந்த வார்த்தையின் கருத்தை அறிந்துகொள்ளவில்லை; அது அவர்களுக்குத் தோன்றாமல் மறைபொருளாயிருந்தது; அந்த வார்த்தையைக்குறித்து அவரிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கவும் பயந்தார்கள்.

But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

பின்பு தங்களில் எவன் பெரியவனாயிருப்பானென்கிற வாக்குவாதம் அவர்களுக்குள் உண்டாயிற்று.

Then there arose a reasoning among them, which of them should be greatest.

இயேசு அவர்கள் இருதயத்தின் யோசனையை அறிந்து, ஒரு சிறுபிள்ளையை எடுத்து, அதைத் தமதருகே நிறுத்தி,

And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,

அவர்களை நோக்கி: இந்தச் சிறுபிள்ளையை என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான்; என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் என்னை அனுப்பினவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறான்; உங்களெல்லாருக்குள்ளும் எவன் சிறியவனாயிருக்கிறானோ அவனே பெரியவனாயிருப்பான் என்றார்.

And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.

அப்பொழுது யோவான் அவரை நோக்கி: ஐயரே, ஒருவன் உம்முடைய நாமத்தினாலே பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்துகிறதை நாங்கள் கண்டு, அவன் எங்களுடனேகூட உம்மைப் பின்பற்றாதவனானபடியால், அவனைத் தடுத்தோம் என்றான்.

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us.

அதற்கு இயேசு: தடுக்கவேண்டாம்; நமக்கு விரோதியாயிராதவன் நமது பட்சத்திலிருக்கிறான் என்றார்.

And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.

பின்பு, அவர் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படும் நாட்கள் சமீபித்தபோது, அவர் எருசலேமுக்குப் போகத் தமது முகத்தைத் திருப்பி,

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

தமக்கு முன்னாகத் தூதர்களை அனுப்பினார். அவர்கள் போய், அவருக்கு இடத்தை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணும்படி சமாரியருடைய ஒரு கிராமத்திலே பிரவேசித்தார்கள்.

And sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him.

அவர் எருசலேமுக்குப்போக நோக்கமாயிருந்தபடியினால் அவ்வூரார் அவரை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை.

And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem.

அவருடைய சீஷராகிய யாக்கோபும் யோவானும் அதைக் கண்டபோது: ஆண்டவரே, எலியா செய்ததுபோல, வானத்திலிருந்து அக்கினி இறங்கி இவர்களை அழிக்கும்படி நாங்கள் கட்டளையிட உமக்குச் சித்தமா என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

அவர் திரும்பிப்பார்த்து: நீங்கள் இன்ன ஆவியுள்ளவர்களென்பதை அறியீர்கள் என்று அதட்டி,

But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

மனுஷகுமாரன் மனுஷருடைய ஜீவனை அழிக்கிறதற்கு அல்ல, இரட்சிக்கிறதற்கே வந்தார் என்றார். அதன்பின்பு அவர்கள் வேறொரு கிராமத்துக்குப் போனார்கள்.

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village.

அவர்கள் வழியிலே போகையில் ஒருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, நீர் எங்கே போனாலும் உம்மைப் பின்பற்றி வருவேன் என்றான்.

And it came to pass, that, as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

அதற்கு இயேசு: நரிகளுக்குக் குழிகளும் ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளுக்குக் கூடுகளும் உண்டு, மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கோ தலைசாய்க்க இடமில்லை என்றார்.

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

வேறொருவனை அவர் நோக்கி: என்னைப் பின்பற்றிவா என்றார். அதற்கு அவன்: ஆண்டவரே, முன்பு நான் போய் என் தகப்பனை அடக்கம்பண்ண எனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

அதற்கு இயேசு: மரித்தோர் தங்கள் மரித்தோரை அடக்கம்பண்ணட்டும்; நீ போய், தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தைக்குறித்துப் பிரசங்கி என்றார்.

Jesus said unto him, Let the dead bury their dead: but go thou and preach the kingdom of God.

பின்பு வேறொருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, உம்மைப் பின்பற்றுவேன், ஆனாலும் முன்பு நான் போய் வீட்டிலிருக்கிறவர்களிடத்தில் அனுப்புவித்துக்கொண்டுவரும்படி எனக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

And another also said, Lord, I will follow thee; but let me first go bid them farewell, which are at home at my house.

அதற்கு இயேசு: கலப்பையின்மேல் தன் கையை வைத்துப் பின்னிட்டுப்பார்க்கிற எவனும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்துக்குத் தகுதியுள்ளவன் அல்ல என்றார்.

And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
