லேவியராகமம் அத்தியாயம் 8

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

நீ ஆரோனையும் அவன் குமாரரையும் வரவழைத்து, வஸ்திரங்களையும், அபிஷேகத்தைலத்தையும், பாவநிவாரணபலிக்கு ஒரு காளையையும், இரண்டு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், ஒரு கூடையில் புளிப்பில்லா அப்பங்களையும் கொண்டுவந்து,

Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;

சபையையெல்லாம் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரவாசலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கூடிவரச்செய் என்றார்.

And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே மோசே செய்தான்; சபை ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கூடினபோது,

And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

மோசே சபையை நோக்கி: செய்யும்படி கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்ட காரியம் இதுவே என்று சொல்லி,

And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD commanded to be done.

கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, மோசே ஆரோனையும் அவன் குமாரரையும் வரவழைத்து, அவர்களை ஜலத்தினால் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணுவித்து,

And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.

அவனுக்கு உள்ளங்கியைப் போட்டு, இடைக்கச்சையைக் கட்டி, மேலங்கியை உடுத்தி, ஏபோத்தைத் தரித்து, அதின்மேல் ஏபோத்தின் விசித்திரமான கச்சையைக்கட்டி,

And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.

அவனுக்கு மார்ப்பதக்கத்தை அணிந்து, மார்ப்பதக்கத்திலே ஊரீம் தும்மீம் என்பவைகளையும் வைத்து,

And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.

அவன் தலையிலே பாகையைத் தரித்து, பாகையின்மேல் அவன் நெற்றியிலே பரிசுத்த கிரீடம் என்னும் பொற்பட்டத்தைத் கட்டினான்.

And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.

பின்பு மோசே, அபிஷேகதைலத்தை எடுத்து, வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் அதிலுள்ள யாவற்றையும் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணி, பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி,

And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.

அதில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் ஏழுதரம் தெளித்து, பலிபீடத்தையும் அதின் சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும், தொட்டியையும் அதின் பாதத்தையும் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தும்படிக்கு அபிஷேகம்பண்ணி,

And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them.

அபிஷேகதைலத்திலே கொஞ்சம் ஆரோனுடைய சிரசின்மேல் வார்த்து, அவனைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தும்படி அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினான்.

And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

பின்பு மோசே, கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, ஆரோனின் குமாரரை வரவழைத்து, அவர்களுக்கு அங்கிகளை உடுத்தி, இடைக்கச்சைகளைக்கட்டி, குல்லாக்களைத் தரித்து,

And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.

பாவநிவாரண பலிக்கான காளையைக் கொண்டுவந்தான்; அதினுடைய தலையின்மேல் ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் தங்கள் கைகளை வைத்தார்கள்;

And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.

அப்பொழுது அது கொல்லப்பட்டது; மோசே அதின் இரத்தத்தை எடுத்து, தன் விரலினால் பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளின்மேல் சுற்றிலும் பூசி, பலிபீடத்திற்காகப் பிராயச்சித்தஞ்செய்து, மற்ற இரத்தத்தைப் பலிபீடத்தின் அடியில் ஊற்றிவிட்டு, அதின்மேல் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்பொருட்டு அதைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினான்.

And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.

பின்பு மோசே, கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, குடல்கள்மேல் இருந்த கொழுப்பு முழுவதையும், கல்லீரலின்மேல் இருந்த ஜவ்வையும், இரண்டு குண்டிக்காய்களையும், அவைகளின் கொழுப்பையும் எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்து,

And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.

காளையையும் அதின் தோலையும் மாம்சத்தையும் சாணியையும் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரித்தான்.

But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.

பின்பு அவன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிக்கு ஆட்டுக்கடாவைக்கொண்டு வந்தான்; அதின் தலையின்மேல் ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் தங்கள் கைகளை வைத்தார்கள்.

And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

அப்பொழுது அது கொல்லப்பட்டது; மோசே அதின் இரத்தத்தைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சுற்றிலும் தெளித்தான்.

And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

ஆட்டுக்கடா சந்துசந்தாகத் துண்டிக்கப்பட்டது; கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, மோசே அதின் தலையையும் துண்டங்களையும் கொழுப்பையும் தகனித்தான்.

And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.

குடல்களையும் தொடைகளையும் தண்ணீரால் கழுவினபின், மோசே ஆட்டுக்கடா முழுவதையும் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் கர்த்தருக்குச் சுகந்த வாசனைக்கான சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகத் தகனித்தான்.

And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

பின்பு பிரதிஷ்டைப்படுத்துவதற்குரிய மற்ற ஆட்டுக்கடாவைக் கொண்டுவந்தான்; அதின் தலையின்மேல் ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் தங்கள் கைகளை வைத்தார்கள்.

And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.

பின்பு அது கொல்லப்பட்டது; மோசே அதின் இரத்தத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, ஆரோனுடைய வலதுகாதின் மடலிலும் வலதுகையின் பெருவிரலிலும் வலதுகாலின் பெருவிரலிலும் பூசினான்.

And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.

பின்பு ஆரோனுடைய குமாரரையும் அழைத்தான்; மோசே அந்த இரத்தத்திலே கொஞ்சம் அவர்களுடைய வலது காதின் மடலிலும் வலது கையின் பெருவிரலிலும் வலது காலின் பெருவிரலிலும் பூசி, இரத்தத்தைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சுற்றிலும் தெளித்து,

And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.

கொழுப்பையும், வாலையும், குடல்கள் மேலிருந்த கொழுப்பு முழுவதையும், கல்லீரலின் மேலிருந்த ஜவ்வையும், இரண்டு குண்டிக்காய்களையும், அவைகளின் கொழுப்பையும், வலது முன்னந்தொடையையும் எடுத்து,

And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:

கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் வைத்திருந்த புளிப்பில்லா அப்பங்களின் கூடையிலுள்ள புளிப்பில்லா அதிரசத்தில் ஒன்றையும், எண்ணெயிட்ட அப்பமாகிய அதிரசத்தில் ஒன்றையும், ஒரு அடையையும் எடுத்து, அந்தக் கொழுப்பின்மேலும், முன்னந்தொடையின்மேலும் வைத்து,

And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:

அவைகளையெல்லாம் ஆரோனுடைய உள்ளங்கைகளிலும் அவன் குமாரருடைய உள்ளங்கைகளிலும் வைத்து, அசைவாட்டும் பலியாகக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டி,

And he put all upon Aaron's hands, and upon his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.

பின்பு மோசே அவைகளை அவர்கள் உள்ளங்கைகளிலிருந்து எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்தின்மேலிருக்கிற தகனபலியின்மேல் தகனித்தான்; அவைகள் சுகந்தவாசனையான பிரதிஷ்டைப் பலிகள்; இது கர்த்தருக்குத் தகனபலியானது.

And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

பின்பு மோசே மார்க்கண்டத்தை எடுத்து, அதைக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் பலியாக அசைவாட்டினான். கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே பிரதிஷ்டையின் ஆட்டுக்கடாவிலே அது மோசேயின் பங்காயிற்று.

And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses' part; as the LORD commanded Moses.

மோசே அபிஷேகதைலத்திலும், பலிபீடத்தின்மேலிருந்த இரத்தத்திலும் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, ஆரோன்மேலும் அவன் வஸ்திரங்கள்மேலும், அவன் குமாரர்மேலும் அவர்கள் வஸ்திரங்கள்மேலும் தெளித்து, ஆரோனையும் அவன் வஸ்திரங்களையும், அவன் குமாரரையும், அவன் குமாரரின் வஸ்திரங்களையும் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தினான்.

And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.

பின்பு மோசே ஆரோனையும் அவன் குமாரரையும் நோக்கி: நீங்கள் அந்த மாம்சத்தை ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலே வேவித்து, ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும், அதைப் புசிப்பார்களாக என்று கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறபடியே, அங்கே அதையும் உங்கள் பிரதிஷ்டைப் பலிகளுள்ள கூடையில் இருக்கிற அப்பத்தையும் புசித்து,

And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.

மாம்சத்திலும் அப்பத்திலும் மீதியானதை அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரித்து,

And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.

பிரதிஷ்டையின் நாட்கள் நிறைவேறும்வரைக்கும், ஏழுநாள் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலை விட்டுப் புறப்படாதிருங்கள்; ஏழுநாளளவும் நீங்கள் பிரதிஷ்டைப்படுத்தப்படுவீர்கள்.

And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.

இன்று செய்ததுபோல, உங்கள் பாவநிவிர்த்திக்காக இனிமேலும் செய்யவேண்டும் என்று கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டார்.

As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.

நீங்கள் சாகாதபடிக்கு ஏழுநாள் இரவும் பகலும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரவாசலிலிருந்து கர்த்தருடைய காவலைக் காக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; இப்படி நான் கற்பிக்கப்பட்டேன் என்றான்.

Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.

கர்த்தர் மோசேயைக்கொண்டு கட்டளையிட்ட எல்லாக் காரியங்களையும் ஆரோனும் அவன் குமாரரும் செய்தார்கள்.

So Aaron and his sons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

எட்டாம் நாளிலே மோசே ஆரோனையும் அவன் குமாரரையும் இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரையும் அழைத்து,

And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;

ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ பாவநிவாரணபலியாகப் பழுதற்ற ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையும், சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகப் பழுதற்ற ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பலியிடக்கடவாய்.

And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.

மேலும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை நோக்கி: கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் பலியிடும்படிக்கு, நீங்கள் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகப் பழுதற்ற ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவையும், சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாக ஒருவயதான பழுதற்ற ஒரு கன்றுக்குட்டியையும், ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியையும்,

And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;

சமாதானபலிகளாக ஒரு காளையையும், ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும், எண்ணெயிலே பிசைந்த போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவாருங்கள்; இன்று கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குத் தரிசனமாவார் என்று சொல் என்றான்.

Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.

மோசே கட்டளையிட்டவைகளை அவர்கள் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கு முன்பாகக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். சபையார் எல்லாரும் சேர்ந்து, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நின்றார்கள்.

And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.

அப்பொழுது மோசே: கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்ட இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்யுங்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை உங்களுக்குக் காணப்படும் என்றான்.

And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.

மோசே ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ பலிபீடத்தண்டையில் சேர்ந்து, கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, உன் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும் உன் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் செலுத்தி, உனக்காகவும் ஜனங்களுக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்து, ஜனங்களுடைய பலியையும் செலுத்தி, அவர்களுக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய் என்றான்.

And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.

அப்பொழுது ஆரோன் பலிபீடத்தண்டையில் சேர்ந்து, தன் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகிய கன்றுக்குட்டியைக் கொன்றான்.

Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

ஆரோனின் குமாரர் அதின் இரத்தத்தை அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் தன் விரலை அந்த இரத்தத்தில் தோய்த்து, பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளின் மேல் பூசி, மற்ற இரத்தத்தைப் பலிபீடத்தின் அடியிலே ஊற்றி,

And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:

பாவநிவாரணபலியின் கொழுப்பையும், குண்டிக்காய்களையும், கல்லீரலில் எடுத்த ஜவ்வையும், கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்து,

But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.

மாம்சத்தையும் தோலையும் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரித்தான்.

And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.

பின்பு சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் கொன்றான்; ஆரோனின் குமாரர் அதின் இரத்தத்தை அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அதை அவன் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சுற்றிலும் தெளித்தான்.

And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.

சர்வாங்கதகனபலியின் துண்டங்களையும் தலையையும் அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் அவைகளைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்து,

And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.

குடல்களையும் தொடைகளையும் கழுவி, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் இருந்த சர்வாங்க தகனபலியின்மேல் தகனித்தான்.

And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.

பின்பு அவன் ஜனங்களின் பலியைக்கொண்டுவந்து, ஜனங்களின் பாவநிவிர்த்திக்குரிய வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவைக்கொன்று, முந்தினதைப் பலியிட்டது போல, அதைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாக்கி,

And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.

சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் கொண்டுவந்து, நியமத்தின்படி அதைப் பலியிட்டு,

And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.

போஜனபலியையும் கொண்டுவந்து, அதில் கைநிறைய எடுத்து, அதைக் காலையில் செலுத்தும் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியுடனே பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்தான்.

And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.

பின்பு ஜனங்களின் சமாதானபலிகளாகிய காளையையும் ஆட்டுக்கடாவையும் கொன்றான்; ஆரோனின் குமாரர் அதின் இரத்தத்தை அவனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவன் அதைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் சுற்றிலும் தெளித்து,

He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,

காளையிலும் ஆட்டுக்கடாவிலும் எடுத்த கொழுப்பையும், வாலையும், குடல்களை மூடிய ஜவ்வையும், குண்டிக்காய்களையும், கல்லீரலின்மேல் இருந்த ஜவ்வையும் கொண்டுவந்து,

And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:

கொழுப்பை மார்க்கண்டங்களின்மேல் வைத்தார்கள்; அந்தக் கொழுப்பைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனித்தான்.

And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:

மார்க்கண்டங்களையும் வலது முன்னந்தொடையையும், மோசே கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, ஆரோன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அசைவாட்டும் பலியாக அசைவாட்டினான்.

And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.

பின்பு ஆரோன் ஜனங்களுக்கு நேராகத் தன் கைகளை உயர்த்தி, அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதித்து, தான் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும், சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும், சமாதானபலிகளையும் செலுத்தின இடத்திலிருந்து இறங்கினான்.

And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

பின்பு மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, வெளியே வந்து, ஜனங்களை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் காணப்பட்டது.

And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.

அன்றியும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டு, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் இருந்த சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் கொழுப்பையும் எரித்துவிட்டது; ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அதைக் கண்டபோது ஆரவாரித்து முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

பஸ்கா பண்டிகையின் இரண்டாம் நாளைக்குப் பின்வந்த முதலாம் ஓய்வுநாளிலே, அவர் பயிர்வழியே நடந்துபோகையில், அவருடைய சீஷர்கள் கதிர்களைக் கொய்து, கைகளினால் நிமிட்டித்தின்றார்கள்.

And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

பரிசேயரில் சிலர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஓய்வுநாளில் செய்யத்தகாததை நீங்கள் ஏன் செய்கிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the sabbath days?

இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: தாவீதும் அவனோடிருந்தவர்களும் பசியாயிருந்தபோது செய்ததை நீங்கள் வாசிக்கவில்லையா? அவன் தேவனுடைய வீட்டில் பிரவேசித்து, ஆசாரியர் மாத்திரமேதவிர வேறொருவரும் புசிக்கத்தகாத தேவசமுகத்து அப்பங்களைக் கேட்டு வாங்கி,

And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungred, and they which were with him;

தான் புசித்ததுமன்றி, தன்னுடனே கூட இருந்தவர்களுக்கும் கொடுத்தானே என்று சொன்னார்.

How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?

மேலும் மனுஷகுமாரன் ஓய்வுநாளுக்கும் ஆண்டவராய் இருக்கிறார் என்றார்.

And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

வேறொரு ஓய்வுநாளிலே, அவர் ஜெப ஆலயத்தில் பிரவேசித்து உபதேசித்தார். அங்கே சூம்பின வலதுகையையுடைய ஒரு மனுஷன் இருந்தான்.

And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

அப்பொழுது வேதபாரகரும் பரிசேயரும் அவரிடத்தில் குற்றம் பிடிக்கும்படி, ஓய்வுநாளில் சொஸ்தமாக்குவாரோ என்று அவர்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him.

அவர்களுடைய சிந்தனைகளை அவர் அறிந்து, சூம்பின கையையுடைய மனுஷனை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து, நடுவே நில் என்றார். அவன் எழுந்து நின்றான்.

But he knew their thoughts, and said to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst. And he arose and stood forth.

அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: நான் உங்களிடத்தில் ஒன்று கேட்கிறேன்; ஓய்வுநாட்களில் நன்மை செய்வதோ, தீமை செய்வதோ, ஜீவனைக் காப்பதோ, அழிப்பதோ, எது நியாயம் என்று கேட்டு,

Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

அவர்களெல்லாரையும் சுற்றிப் பார்த்து, அந்த மனுஷனை நோக்கி: உன் கையை நீட்டு என்றார். அப்படியே அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டினான், உடனே அவன் கை மறுகையைப்போலச் சொஸ்தமாயிற்று.

And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

அவர்களோ மூர்க்கவெறிகொண்டு, இயேசுவை என்ன செய்யலாமென்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஆலோசித்தார்கள்.

And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

அந்நாட்களிலே, அவர் ஜெபம்பண்ணும்படி ஒரு மலையின்மேல் ஏறி, இராமுழுவதும் தேவனை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்.

And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

பொழுதுவிடிந்தபோது, அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை வரவழைத்து, அவர்களில் பன்னிரண்டுபேரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்களுக்கு அப்போஸ்தலர் என்று பேரிட்டார்.

And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;

அவர்கள் யாரெனில், பேதுரு என்று தாம் பேரிட்ட சீமோன், அவன் சகோதரனாகிய அந்திரேயா, யாக்கோபு, யோவான், பிலிப்பு, பற்தொலொமேயு,

Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,

மத்தேயு, தோமா, அல்பேயுவின் குமாரனாகிய யாக்கோபு, செலோத்தே என்னப்பட்ட சீமோன்,

Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes,

யாக்கோபின் சகோதரனாகிய யூதா, துரோகியான யூதாஸ்காரியோத்து என்பவர்களே.

And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

பின்பு அவர் அவர்களுடனேகூட இறங்கி, சமனான ஒரு இடத்திலே நின்றார். அங்கே அவருடைய சீஷரில் அநேகம் பேரும் அவருடைய உபதேசத்தைக் கேட்கும்படிக்கும், தங்கள் வியாதிகளினின்று குணமாக்கப்படும்படிக்கும், யூதேயா தேசத்துத் திசைகள் யாவற்றிலிருந்தும், எருசலேம் நகரத்திலிருந்தும், தீரு சீதோன் பட்டணங்கள் இருக்கிற கடலோரத்திலிருந்தும் வந்தவர்களாகிய திரளான ஜனங்களும் இருந்தார்கள்.

And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases;

அசுத்த ஆவிகளால் வாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களும் வந்து, ஆரோக்கியமடைந்தார்கள்.

And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.

அவரிடத்திலிருந்து வல்லமைபுறப்பட்டு எல்லாரையும் குணமாக்கினபடியினாலே, ஜனங்கள் யாவரும் அவரைத் தொடும்படிக்கு வகைதேடினார்கள்.

And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.

அப்பொழுது அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கிப்பார்த்து: தரித்திரராகிய நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்களுடையது.

And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

இப்பொழுது பசியாயிருக்கிற நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; திருப்தியடைவீர்கள். இப்பொழுது அழுகிற நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; இனி நகைப்பீர்கள்.

Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

மனுஷகுமாரன் நிமித்தமாக ஜனங்கள் உங்களைப் பகைத்து, உங்களைப் புறம்பாக்கி, உங்களை நிந்தித்து, உங்கள் நாமத்தைப் பொல்லாததென்று தள்ளிவிடும்போது நீங்கள் பாக்கியவான்களாயிருப்பீர்கள்.

Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

அந்நாளிலே நீங்கள் சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் களிகூருங்கள்; பரலோகத்தில் உங்கள் பலன் மிகுதியாயிருக்கும்; அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும் அப்படியே செய்தார்கள்.

Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.

ஐசுவரியவான்களாகிய உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ; உங்கள் ஆறுதலை நீங்கள் அடைந்து தீர்ந்தது.

But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.

திருப்தியுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கிற உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ; பசியாயிருப்பீர்கள். இப்பொழுது நகைக்கிற உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ; இனித் துக்கப்பட்டு அழுவீர்கள்.

Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.

எல்லா மனுஷரும் உங்களைக் குறித்துப் புகழ்ச்சியாய்ப் பேசும்போது உங்களுக்கு ஐயோ; அவர்கள் பிதாக்கள் கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும் அப்படியே செய்தார்கள்.

Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.

எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிற உங்களுக்கு நான் சொல்லுகிறேன்: உங்கள் சத்துருக்களைச் சிநேகியுங்கள்; உங்களைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களுக்கு நன்மைசெய்யுங்கள்.

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

உங்களைச் சபிக்கிறவர்களை ஆசீர்வதியுங்கள்; உங்களை நிந்திக்கிறவர்களுக்காக ஜெபம் பண்ணுங்கள்.

Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

உன்னை ஒரு கன்னத்தில் அறைகிறவனுக்கு மறு கன்னத்தையும் கொடு; உன் அங்கியை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவனுக்கு உன் வஸ்திரத்தையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளத் தடைபண்ணாதே.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also.

உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்கிற எவனுக்கும் கொடு; உன்னுடையதை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவனிடத்தில் அதைத் திரும்பக் கேளாதே.

Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.

மனுஷர் உங்களுக்கு எப்படிச் செய்யவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறீர்களோ, அப்படியே நீங்களும் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யுங்கள்.

And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

உங்களைச் சிநேகிக்கிறவர்களையே நீங்கள் சிநேகித்தால், உங்களுக்குப் பலன் என்ன? பாவிகளும் தங்களைச் சிநேகிக்கிறவர்களைச் சிநேகிக்கிறார்களே.

For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

உங்களுக்கு நன்மைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்கே நீங்கள் நன்மைசெய்தால், உங்களுக்குப் பலன் என்ன? பாவிகளும் அப்படிச் செய்கிறார்களே.

And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

திரும்பக் கொடுப்பார்களென்று நம்பி நீங்கள் கடன்கொடுத்தால் உங்களுக்குப் பலன் என்ன? திரும்பத் தங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்படியாகப் பாவிகளும் பாவிகளுக்குக் கடன் கொடுக்கிறார்களே.

And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

உங்கள் சத்துருக்களைச் சிநேகியுங்கள், நன்மை செய்யுங்கள், கைம்மாறு கருதாமல் கடன் கொடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது உங்கள் பலன் மிகுதியாயிருக்கும், உன்னதமானவருக்கு நீங்கள் பிள்ளைகளாயிருப்பீர்கள்; அவர் நன்றியறியாதவர்களுக்கும் துரோகிகளுக்கும் நன்மை செய்கிறாரே.

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

ஆகையால் உங்கள் பிதா இரக்கமுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறதுபோல, நீங்களும் இரக்கமுள்ளவர்களாயிருங்கள்.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

மற்றவர்களைக் குற்றவாளிகளென்று தீர்க்காதிருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நீங்களும் குற்றவாளிகளென்று தீர்க்கப்படாதிருப்பீர்கள்; மற்றவர்களை ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகும்படி தீர்க்காதிருங்கள், அப்பொழுது நீங்களும் ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படாதிருப்பீர்கள்; விடுதலைபண்ணுங்கள், அப்பொழுது நீங்களும் விடுதலைபண்ணப்படுவீர்கள்.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

கொடுங்கள், அப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கும் கொடுக்கப்படும்; அமுக்கிக் குலுக்கிச் சரிந்து விழும்படி நன்றாய் அளந்து, உங்கள் மடியிலே போடுவார்கள்; நீங்கள் எந்த அளவினால் அளக்கிறீர்களோ அந்த அளவினால் உங்களுக்கும் அளக்கப்படும் என்றார்.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

பின்னும் அவர் ஒரு உவமையை அவர்களுக்குச் சொன்னார்: குருடனுக்குக் குருடன் வழிகாட்டக்கூடுமோ? இருவரும் பள்ளத்தில் விழுவார்கள் அல்லவா?

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?

சீஷன் தன் குருவுக்கு மேற்பட்டவனல்ல, தேறினவன் எவனும் தன் குருவைப்போலிருப்பான்.

The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

நீ உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற உத்திரத்தை உணராமல், உன் சகோதரன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற துரும்பைப் பார்க்கிறதென்ன?

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

அல்லது நீ உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற உத்திரத்தை உணராமல், உன் சகோதரனை நோக்கி: சகோதரனே, நான் உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போடட்டும் என்று நீ சொல்வதெப்படி? மாயக்காரனே! முன்பு உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற உத்திரத்தை எடுத்துப்போடு, பின்பு உன் சகோதரன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போட வகைபார்ப்பாய்.

Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.

நல்ல மரமானது கெட்ட கனி கொடாது, கெட்ட மரமானது நல்ல கனி கொடாது.

For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

அந்தந்த மரம் அதனதன் கனியினால் அறியப்படும்; முட்செடிகளில் அத்திப்பழங்களைப் பறிக்கிறதுமில்லை, நெருஞ்சிச்செடியில் திராட்சப்பழங்களைப் பறிக்கிறதுமில்லை.

For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

நல்ல மனுஷன் தன் இருதயமாகிய நல்ல பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து நல்லதை எடுத்துக் காட்டுகிறான்; பொல்லாத மனுஷன் தன் இருதயமாகிய பொல்லாத பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து பொல்லாததை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறான்; இருதயத்தின் நிறைவினால் அவனவன் வாய் பேசும்.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

என்னை ஆண்டவரே! ஆண்டவரே! என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லியும், நான் சொல்லுகிறபடி நீங்கள் செய்யாமற்போகிறதென்ன?

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

என்னிடத்தில் வந்து, என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டு, அவைகளின்படி செய்கிறவன் யாருக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறானென்று உங்களுக்குக் காண்பிப்பேன்.

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

ஆழமாய்த் தோண்டி, கற்பாறையின்மேல் அஸ்திபாரம்போட்டு, வீடுகட்டுகிற மனுஷனுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறான்; பெருவெள்ளம் வந்து, நீரோட்டம் அந்த வீட்டின்மேல் மோதியும், அதை அசைக்கக்கூடாமற்போயிற்று; ஏனென்றால் அது கன்மலையின்மேல் அஸ்திபாரம் போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

என் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டும் அவைகளின்படி செய்யாதவனோ அஸ்திபாரமில்லாமல் மண்ணின்மேல் வீடுகட்டினவனுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறான்; நீரோட்டம் அதின்மேல் மோதினவுடனே அது விழுந்தது; விழுந்து முழுவதும் அழிந்தது என்றார்.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.
