சகரியா அத்தியாயம் 1

தரியு அரசாண்ட இரண்டாம் வருஷம் எட்டாம் மாதத்திலே இத்தோவின் மகனான பெரகியாவின் குமாரனாகிய சகரியாவுக்கு உண்டான கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை:

In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

கர்த்தர் உங்கள் பிதாக்களின்மேல் கடுங்கோபமாயிருந்தார்.

The LORD hath been sore displeased with your fathers.

ஆகையால் நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால்: என்னிடத்தில் திரும்புங்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களிடத்துக்குத் திரும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts.

உங்கள் பிதாக்களைப் போலிராதேயுங்கள்; முந்தின தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்கள் பொல்லாத வழிகளையும், உங்கள் பொல்லாத கிரியைகளையும் விட்டுத் திரும்புங்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று கூப்பிட்டார்கள்; ஆனாலும் எனக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும் என்னைக் கவனியாமலும் போனார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD.

உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் எங்கே? தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் என்றென்றைக்கும் உயிரோடிருப்பார்களோ?

Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

இராமற்போனாலும், தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய என் ஊழியக்காரருக்கு நான் கட்டளையிட்ட என் வார்த்தைகளும் என் தீர்மானங்களும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களிடத்தில் பலிக்கவில்லையோ? எங்கள் வழிகளின்படியேயும், எங்கள் கிரியைகளின்படியேயும் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்குச் செய்ய நிர்ணயித்தபடியே எங்களுக்குச் செய்தாரென்று அவர்கள் திரும்பவந்து, சொன்னதில்லையோ என்று சொல் என்றார்.

But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

தரியு அரசாண்ட இரண்டாம்வருஷம், சேபாத் மாதமாகிய பதினோராம் மாதம் இருபத்துநாலாந்தேதியிலே, கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை இத்தோவின் மகனான பெரகியாவின் குமாரன் சகரியா என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசிக்கு உண்டாயிற்று; அவன் சொன்னது:

Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,

இதோ, இன்று இராத்திரி சிவப்புக்குதிரையின்மேல் ஏறியிருந்த ஒரு புருஷனைக் கண்டேன்; அவர் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் இருக்கிற மிருதுச்செடிகளுக்குள்ளே நின்றார்; அவருக்குப் பின்னாலே சிவப்பும் மங்கின நிறமும் வெண்மையுமான குதிரைகள் இருந்தன.

I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.

அப்பொழுது நான்: என் ஆண்டவரே, இவர்கள் யாரென்று கேட்டேன்; என்னோடே பேசுகிற தூதனானவர்: இவர்கள் யாரென்று நான் உனக்குக் காண்பிப்பேன் என்று சொன்னார்.

Then said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these be.

அப்பொழுது மிருதுச்செடிகளுக்குள்ளே நின்ற அந்தப் புருஷன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: இவர்கள் பூமியெங்கும் சுற்றிப்பார்க்கக் கர்த்தர் அனுப்பினவர்கள் என்றார்.

And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are they whom the LORD hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

பின்பு அவர்கள் மிருதுச்செடிகளுக்குள்ளே நின்ற கர்த்தருடைய தூதனை நோக்கி: நாங்கள் பூமியெங்கும் சுற்றிப்பார்த்தோம்; இதோ, பூமிமுழுவதும் அமைதலும் அமரிக்கையுமாய் இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள்.

And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் மறுமொழியாக: சேனைகளின் கர்த்தாவே, இந்த எழுபது வருஷமாய் நீர் கோபங்கொண்டிருக்கிற எருசலேமின்மேலும் யூதா பட்டணங்களின்மேலும் எந்தமட்டும் இரங்காதிருப்பீர் என்று சொல்ல,

Then the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர், என்னோடே பேசின தூதனுக்கு நல்வார்த்தைகளையும் ஆறுதலான வார்த்தைகளையும் பிரதியுத்தரமாகச் சொன்னார்.

And the LORD answered the angel that talked with me with good words and comfortable words.

அப்பொழுது என்னோடே பேசின தூதன் என்னை நோக்கி: சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் எருசலேமுக்காகவும் சீயோனுக்காகவும் மகா வைராக்கியம் கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.

So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

நான் கொஞ்சங் கோபங்கொண்டிருந்தபோது அவர்கள் தங்கள் கேட்டை அதிகரிக்கத் தேடினபடியினால், சுகமாய் வாழுகிற புறஜாதிகள்பேரில் நான் கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டேன்.

And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

ஆகையால் மனஉருக்கத்தோடே எருசலேமினிடத்தில் திரும்பினேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; என் ஆலயம் அதிலே கட்டப்படும்; எருசலேமின்மேல் அளவுநூல் பிடிக்கப்படும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று கூறு என்றார்.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

இன்னும் என் பட்டணங்கள் நன்மையினால் பரம்பியிருக்கும்; இன்னும் கர்த்தர் சீயோனைத் தேற்றரவு பண்ணுவார்; இன்னும் எருசலேமைத்தெரிந்துகொள்ளுவார் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று பின்னும் கூறு என்றார்.

Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

நான் என் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப்பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, நாலு கொம்புகளைக் கண்டேன்.

Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.

அவைகள் என்னவென்று என்னோடே பேசின தூதனைக்கேட்டேன்; அதற்கு அவர்: இவைகள் யூதாவையும் இஸ்ரவேலையும் எருசலேமையும் சிதறடித்த கொம்புகள் என்றார்.

And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

பின்பு கர்த்தர் எனக்கு நாலு தொழிலாளிகளைக் காண்பித்தார்.

And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.

இவர்கள் என்ன செய்ய வருகிறார்களென்று கேட்டேன்; அதற்கு அவர்: ஒருவனும் தன் தலையை ஏறெடுக்கக்கூடாதபடி அந்தக் கொம்புகள் யூதாவைச் சிதறடித்ததே, அவைகளுக்குப் பயமுறுத்துகிறதற்கும், யூதாவின் தேசத்தைப் பாழாக்கத் தங்கள் கொம்பை எடுத்த ஜாதிகளுடைய கொம்புகளை விழத்தள்ளுகிறதற்கும் இவர்கள் வந்தார்கள் என்றார்.

Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

சகரியா அத்தியாயம் 2

நான் என் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, தன் கையிலே அளவுநூல் பிடித்திருந்த ஒரு புருஷனைக் கண்டேன்.

I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

நீர் எவ்விடத்துக்குப் போகிறீர் என்று கேட்டேன்; அதற்கு அவர்: எருசலேமின் அகலம் இவ்வளவு என்றும் அதின் நீளம் இவ்வளவு என்றும் அறியும்படி அதை அளக்கிறதற்குப் போகிறேன் என்றார்.

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

இதோ, என்னோடே பேசின தூதன் புறப்பட்டபோது, வேறொரு தூதன் அவரைச் சந்திக்கும்படிப் புறப்பட்டு வந்தான்.

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

இவனை அவர் நோக்கி: நீ ஓடி இந்த வாலிபனிடத்தில் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: எருசலேம் தன் நடுவிலே கூடும் மனுஷரின் திரளினாலும் மிருகஜீவன்களின் திரளினாலும் மதிலில்லாத பட்டணங்கள்போல் வாசஸ்தலமாகும்.

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

நான் அதற்குச் சுற்றிலும் அக்கினி மதிலாயிருந்து, அதின் நடுவில் மகிமையாக இருப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

ஓகோ, நீங்கள் எழும்பி வடதேசத்திலிருந்து ஓடிவாருங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; ஆகாயத்து நான்கு திசைகளிலும் உங்களை நான் சிதறப்பண்ணினேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

பாபிலோன் குமாரத்தியினிடத்தில் குடியிருக்கிற சீயோனே, உன்னை விடுவித்துக்கொள்.

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

பிற்பாடு மகிமையுண்டாகும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; உங்களைக் கொள்ளையிட்ட ஜாதிகளிடத்துக்கு என்னை அனுப்பினார்; உங்களைத் தொடுகிறவன் அவருடைய கண்மணியைத் தொடுகிறான்.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

இதோ, நான் என் கையை அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக அசைப்பேன்; அதினால் அவர்கள் தங்கள் அடிமைகளுக்குக் கொள்ளையாவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னை அனுப்பினாரென்று அறிவீர்கள்.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

சீயோன் குமாரத்தியே, கெம்பீரித்துப்பாடு; இதோ, நான் வந்து உன் நடுவில் வாசம்பண்ணுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

அந்நாளிலே அநேகம் ஜாதிகள் கர்த்தரைச் சேர்ந்து என் ஜனமாவார்கள்; நான் உன் நடுவில் வாசமாயிருப்பேன்; அப்பொழுது சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னை உன்னிடத்தில் அனுப்பினாரென்று அறிவாய்.

And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

கர்த்தர் பரிசுத்த தேசத்திலே யூதாவாகிய தமது பங்கைச் சுதந்தரித்து திரும்பவும் எருசலேமைத் தெரிந்துகொள்வார்.

And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

மாம்சமான சகலமானபேர்களே, கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக மௌனமாயிருங்கள்; அவர் தமது பரிசுத்த வாசஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து எழுந்தருளினார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.

சகரியா அத்தியாயம் 3

அவர் பிரதான ஆசாரியனாகிய யோசுவாவை எனக்குக் காண்பித்தார்; அவன் கர்த்தருடைய தூதனுக்கு முன்பாக நின்றான்; சாத்தான் அவனுக்கு விரோதஞ்செய்ய அவன் வலதுபக்கத்திலே நின்றான்.

And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் சாத்தானை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் உன்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்வாராக; சாத்தானே, எருசலேமைத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட கர்த்தர் உன்னைக் கடிந்துகொள்வாராக; இவன் அக்கினியினின்று தப்புவிக்கப்பட்ட கொள்ளி அல்லவா என்றார்.

And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?

யோசுவாவோவெனில் அழுக்கு வஸ்திரம் தரித்தவனாய்த் தூதனுக்கு முன்பாக நின்றிருந்தான்.

Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.

அவர் தமக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிறவர்களை நோக்கி: இவன்மேல் இருக்கிற அழுக்கு வஸ்திரங்களைக் களைந்துபோடுங்கள் என்றார்; பின்பு அவனை நோக்கி: பார், நான் உன் அக்கிரமத்தை உன்னிலிருந்து நீங்கச்செய்து, உனக்குச் சிறந்த வஸ்திரங்களைத் தரிப்பித்தேன் என்றார்.

And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

அவன் சிரசின்மேல் சுத்தமான பாகையை வைப்பார்களாக என்றார்; அப்பொழுது சுத்தமான பாகையை அவன் சிரசின்மேல் வைத்து, அவனுக்கு வஸ்திரங்களைத் தரிப்பித்தார்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் அங்கே நின்றார்.

And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.

கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் யோசுவாவுக்குச் சாட்சியாக:

And the angel of the LORD protested unto Joshua, saying,

சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால்: நீ என் வழிகளில் நடந்து என் காவலைக் காத்தால், நீ என் ஆலயத்தில் நியாயம் விசாரிப்பாய்; என் பிராகாரங்களையும் காவல்காப்பாய்; இங்கே நிற்கிறவர்களுக்குள்ளே உலாவுகிறதற்கு இடம் நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by.

இப்போதும், பிரதான ஆசாரியனாகிய யோசுவாவே, நீ கேள்; உனக்கு முன்பாக உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிற உன் தோழரும் கேட்கக்கடவர்கள்; இவர்கள் அடையாளமாயிருக்கிற புருஷர்; இதோ, கிளை என்னப்பட்டவராகிய என் தாசனை நான் வரப்பண்ணுவேன்.

Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.

இதோ, நான் யோசுவாவுக்கு முன்பாக வைத்த கல்; இந்த ஒரே கல்லின்மேல் ஏழு கண்களும் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; இதோ, நான் அதின் சித்திரவேலையை நிறைவேற்றி, இந்த தேசத்தில் அக்கிரமத்தை ஒரே நாளிலே நீக்கிப்போடுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

அந்நாளிலே நீங்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் திராட்சச்செடியின்கீழும் அத்திமரத்தின்கீழும் வரவழைப்பீர்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றார்.

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.

சகரியா அத்தியாயம் 4

என்னோடே பேசின தூதன் திரும்பி வந்து நித்திரைப்பண்ணுகிற ஒருவனை எழுப்புவதுபோல் என்னை எழுப்பி:

And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,

நீ காண்கிறது என்னவென்று கேட்டார்; அதற்கு நான்: இதோ, முழுவதும் பொன்னினால் செய்யப்பட்ட குத்துவிளக்கைக் காண்கிறேன்; அதின் உச்சியில் அதின் கிண்ணமும், அதின்மேல் அதின் ஏழு அகல்களும், அதின் உச்சியில் இருக்கிற அகல்களுக்குப்போகிற ஏழு குழாய்களும் இருக்கிறது.

And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

அதின் அருகில் கிண்ணத்திற்கு வலதுபுறமாக ஒன்றும், அதற்கு இடதுபுறமாக ஒன்றும், ஆக இரண்டு ஒலிவமரங்கள் இருக்கிறது என்றேன்.

And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

நான் என்னோடே பேசின தூதனை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவனே, இவைகள் என்னவென்று கேட்டேன்.

So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

என்னோடே பேசின தூதன் மறுமொழியாக: இவைகள் இன்னதென்று உனக்குத் தெரியாதா என்றார்; ஆண்டவனே, எனக்குத் தெரியாது என்றேன்.

Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: செருபாபேலுக்குச் சொல்லப்படுகிற கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை என்னவென்றால், பலத்தினாலும் அல்ல, பராக்கிரமத்தினாலும் அல்ல, என்னுடைய ஆவியினாலேயே ஆகும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

பெரிய பர்வதமே, நீ எம்மாத்திரம்? செருபாபேலுக்கு முன்பாக நீ சமபூமியாவாய்; தலைக்கல்லை அவன் கொண்டுவருவான்; அதற்குக் கிருபையுண்டாவதாக, கிருபையுண்டாவதாக என்று ஆர்ப்பரிப்பார்கள் என்றார்.

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

பின்னும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

செருபாபேலின் கைகள் இந்த ஆலயத்துக்கு அஸ்திபாரம் போட்டது; அவன் கைகளே இதை முடித்துத் தீர்க்கும்; அதினால் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னை உங்களிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பினாரென்று அறிவாய்.

The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

அற்பமான ஆரம்பத்தின் நாளை யார் அசட்டைபண்ணலாம்? பூமியெங்கும் சுற்றிப்பார்க்கிறவைகளாகிய கர்த்தருடைய ஏழு கண்களும் செருபாபேலின் கையில் இருக்கிற தூக்குநூலைச் சந்தோஷமாய்ப் பார்க்கிறது என்றார்.

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

பின்பு நான் அவரை நோக்கி: குத்துவிளக்குக்கு வலதுபுறமாகவும் அதற்கு இடதுபுறமாகவும் இருக்கிற இந்த இரண்டு ஒலிவமரங்கள் என்னவென்று கேட்டேன்.

Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

மறுபடியும் நான் அவரை நோக்கி: இரண்டு பொற்குழாய்களின் வழியாய்த் தொங்கி, பொன்னிறமான எண்ணெயைத் தங்களிலிருந்து இறங்கப்பண்ணுகிறவைகளாகிய ஒலிவமரங்களின் இரண்டு கிளைகள் என்னவென்று கேட்டேன்.

And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: இவைகள் இரண்டும் சர்வலோகத்துக்கும் ஆண்டவராயிருக்கிறவரின் சமுகத்தில் நிற்கிற அபிஷேகம் பெற்றவர்கள் என்றார்.

Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

வெளிப்படுத்தல் அத்தியாயம் 13

பின்பு நான் கடற்கரை மணலின்மேல் நின்றேன். அப்பொழுது சமுத்திரத்திலிருந்து ஒரு மிருகம் எழும்பிவரக் கண்டேன்; அதற்கு ஏழு தலைகளும் பத்துக்கொம்புகளும் இருந்தன; அதின் கொம்புகளின்மேல் பத்து முடிகளும், அதின் தலைகளின்மேல் தூஷணமான நாமமும் இருந்தன.

And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

நான் கண்ட மிருகம் சிறுத்தையைப் போலிருந்தது; அதின் கால்கள் கரடியின் கால்களைப்போலவும், அதின் வாய் சிங்கத்தின் வாயைப்போலவும் இருந்தன; வலுசர்ப்பமானது தன் பலத்தையும் தன் சிங்காசனத்தையும் மிகுந்த அதிகாரத்தையும் அதற்குக் கொடுத்தது.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

அதின் தலைகளிலொன்று சாவுக்கேதுவாய்க் காயப்பட்டிருக்கக் கண்டேன்; ஆனாலும் சாவுக்கேதுவான அந்தக் காயம் சொஸ்தமாக்கப்பட்டது. பூமியிலுள்ள யாவரும் ஆச்சரியத்தோடே அந்த மிருகத்தைப் பின்பற்றி,

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

அந்த மிருகத்திற்கு அப்படிப்பட்ட அதிகாரங்கொடுத்த வலுசர்ப்பத்தை வணங்கினார்கள். அல்லாமலும்: மிருகத்திற்கு ஒப்பானவன் யார்? அதினோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணத்தக்கவன் யார்? என்று சொல்லி, மிருகத்தையும் வணங்கினார்கள்.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

பெருமையானவைகளையும் தூஷணங்களையும் பேசும் வாய் அதற்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; அல்லாமலும், நாற்பத்திரண்டுமாதம் யுத்தம்பண்ண அதற்கு அதிகாரங்கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

அது தேவனைத் தூஷிக்கும்படி தன் வாயைத் திறந்து, அவருடைய நாமத்தையும், அவருடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தையும், பரலோகத்தில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறவர்களையும் தூஷித்தது.

And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

மேலும், பரிசுத்தவான்களோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணி அவர்களை ஜெயிக்கும்படிக்கு அதற்கு அதிகாரங்கொடுக்கப்பட்டதுமல்லாமல், ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்தின்மேலும் பாஷைக்காரர்மேலும் ஜாதிகள்மேலும் அதற்கு அதிகாரங்கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

உலகத்தோற்றமுதல் அடிக்கப்பட்ட ஆட்டுக்குட்டியினுடைய ஜீவபுஸ்தகத்தில் பேரெழுதப்பட்டிராத பூமியின் குடிகள் யாவரும் அதை வணங்குவார்கள்.

And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

காதுள்ளவனெவனோ அவன் கேட்கக்கடவன்.

If any man have an ear, let him hear.

சிறைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டு போகிறவன் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவான்; பட்டயத்தினாலே கொல்லுகிறவன் பட்டயத்தினாலே கொல்லப்படவேண்டும். பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய பொறுமையும் விசுவாசமும் இதிலே விளங்கும்.

He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

பின்பு, வேறொரு மிருகம் பூமியிலிருந்து எழும்பக் கண்டேன்; அது ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிக்கு ஒப்பாக இரண்டு கொம்புகளையுடையதாயிருந்து, வலுசர்ப்பத்தைப்போலப் பேசினது.

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

அது முந்தின மிருகத்தின் அதிகாரம் முழுவதையும் அதின் முன்பாக நடப்பித்து, சாவுக்கேதுவான காயம் ஆறச்சொஸ்தமடைந்த முந்தின மிருகத்தைப் பூமியும் அதின் குடிகளும் வணங்கும்படிசெய்தது.

And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

அன்றியும், அது மனுஷருக்கு முன்பாக வானத்திலிருந்து பூமியின்மேல் அக்கினியை இறங்கப்பண்ணத்தக்கதாகப் பெரிய அற்புதங்களை நடப்பித்து,

And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

மிருகத்தின்முன்பாக அந்த அற்புதங்களைச் செய்யும்படி தனக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட சத்துவத்தினாலே பூமியின் குடிகளை மோசம்போக்கி, பட்டயத்தினாலே காயப்பட்டுப் பிழைத்த மிருகத்திற்கு ஒரு சொரூபம் பண்ணவேண்டுமென்று பூமியின் குடிகளுக்குச் சொல்லிற்று.

And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

மேலும் அம்மிருகத்தின் சொரூபம் பேசத்தக்கதாகவும், மிருகத்தின் சொரூபத்தை வணங்காத யாவரையும் கொலைசெய்யத்தக்கதாகவும், மிருகத்தின் சொரூபத்திற்கு ஆவியைக் கொடுக்கும்படி அதற்குச் சத்துவங்கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

அது சிறியோர், பெரியோர், ஐசுவரியவான்கள், தரித்திரர், சுயாதீனர், அடிமைகள், இவர்கள் யாவரும் தங்கள் தங்கள் வலதுகைகளிலாவது நெற்றிகளிலாவது ஒரு முத்திரையைப் பெறும்படிக்கும்,

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

அந்த மிருகத்தின் முத்திரையையாவது அதின் நாமத்தையாவது அதின் நாமத்தின் இலக்கத்தையாவது தரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் தவிர வேறொருவனும் கொள்ளவும் விற்கவுங்கூடாதபடிக்கும் செய்தது.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

இதிலே ஞானம் விளங்கும்; அந்த மிருகத்தின் இலக்கத்தைப் புத்தியுடையவன் கணக்குப்பார்க்கக் கடவன்; அது மனுஷனுடைய இலக்கமாயிருக்கிறது; அதினுடைய இலக்கம் அறுநூற்றறுபத்தாறு.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

வெளிப்படுத்தல் அத்தியாயம் 14

பின்பு நான் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, சீயோன் மலையின்மேல் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவரையும், அவரோடேகூட அவருடைய பிதாவின் நாமம் தங்கள் நெற்றிகளில் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்த இலட்சத்து நாற்பத்து நாலாயிரம்பேரையும் நிற்கக்கண்டேன்.

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

அல்லாமலும், பெருவெள்ள இரைச்சல்போலவும். பலத்த இடிமுழக்கம்போலவும், ஒரு சத்தம் வானத்திலிருந்து உண்டாகக்கேட்டேன்; நான் கேட்ட சத்தம் சுரமண்டலக்காரர் தங்கள் சுரமண்டலங்களை வாசிக்கிற ஓசையைப்போலிருந்தது.

And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

அவர்கள் சிங்காசனத்திற்கு முன்பாகவும், நான்கு ஜீவன்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும், மூப்பர்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் புதுப்பாட்டைப் பாடினார்கள்; அந்தப் பாட்டு பூமியிலிருந்து மீட்டுக்கொள்ளப்பட்ட இலட்சத்து நாற்பத்துநாலாயிரம் பேரேயல்லாமல் வேறொருவரும் கற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கூடாதிருந்தது.

And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

ஸ்திரீகளால் தங்களைக் கறைப்படுத்தாதவர்கள் இவர்களே; கற்புள்ளவர்கள் இவர்களே; ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவர் எங்கே போனாலும் அவரைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்கள் இவர்களே; இவர்கள் மனுஷரிலிருந்து தேவனுக்கும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருக்கும் முதற்பலனாக மீட்டுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டவர்கள்.

These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

இவர்களுடைய வாயிலே கபடம் காணப்படவில்லை; இவர்கள் தேவனுடைய சிங்காசனத்திற்குமுன்பாக மாசில்லாதவர்களாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

பின்பு வேறொரு தூதன் வானத்தின் மத்தியிலே பறக்கக்கண்டேன்; அவன் பூமியில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற சகல ஜாதிகளுக்கும், கோத்திரத்தாருக்கும், பாஷைக்காரருக்கும், ஜனக்கூட்டத்தாருக்கும் அறிவிக்கத்தக்கதாக நித்திய சுவிசேஷத்தை உடையவனாயிருந்து,

And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

மிகுந்த சத்தமிட்டு: தேவனுக்குப் பயந்து, அவரை மகிமைப்படுத்துங்கள்; அவர் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக்கொடுக்கும் வேளைவந்தது; வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சமுத்திரத்தையும் நீரூற்றுகளையும் உண்டாக்கினவரையே தொழுதுகொள்ளுங்கள் என்று கூறினான்.

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

வேறொரு தூதன் பின்சென்று: பாபிலோன் மகா நகரம் விழுந்தது! விழுந்தது! தன் வேசித்தனமாகிய உக்கிரமான மதுவைச் சகல ஜாதிகளுக்கும் குடிக்கக் கொடுத்தாளே! என்றான்.

And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னே மூன்றாம் தூதன் வந்து, மிகுந்த சத்தமிட்டு: மிருகத்தையும் அதின் சொரூபத்தையும் வணங்கித் தன் நெற்றியிலாவது தன் கையிலாவது அதின் முத்திரையைத் தரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவனெவனோ,

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

அவன் தேவனுடைய கோபாக்கினையாகிய பாத்திரத்திலே கலப்பில்லாமல் வார்க்கப்பட்ட அவருடைய உக்கிரமாகிய மதுவைக் குடித்து, பரிசுத்த தூதர்களுக்குமுன்பாகவும், ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருக்குமுன்பாகவும், அக்கினியினாலும் கந்தகத்தினாலும் வாதிக்கப்படுவான்.

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

அவர்களுடைய வாதையின் புகை சதாகாலங்களிலும் எழும்பும்; மிருகத்தையும் அதின் சொரூபத்தையும் வணங்குகிறவர்களுக்கும், அதினுடைய நாமத்தின் முத்திரையைத் தரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிற எவனுக்கும் இரவும் பகலும் இளைப்பாறுதலிராது.

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

தேவனுடைய கற்பனைகளையும் இயேசுவின் மேலுள்ள விசுவாசத்தையும் காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாகிய பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய பொறுமை இதிலே விளங்கும் என்று கூறினான்.

Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

பின்பு, பரலோகத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தம் உண்டாகக் கேட்டேன்; அது: கர்த்தருக்குள் மரிக்கிறவர்கள் இதுமுதல் பாக்கியவான்கள் என்றெழுது; அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிரயாசங்களை விட்டொழிந்து இளைப்பாறுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய கிரியைகள் அவர்களோடே கூடப்போகும்; ஆவியானவரும் ஆம் என்று திருவுளம்பற்றுகிறார் என்று சொல்லிற்று.

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.

பின்பு நான் பார்த்தபோது, இதோ, வெண்மையான மேகத்தையும், அந்த மேகத்தின்மேல் மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கொப்பானவராய்த் தமது சிரசின்மேல் பொற்கிரீடத்தையும் தமது கையிலே கருக்குள்ள அரிவாளையுமுடைய ஒருவர் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறதையும் கண்டேன்.

And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

அப்பொழுது வேறொரு தூதன் தேவாலயத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, மேகத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிறவரை நோக்கி: பூமியின் பயிர் முதிர்ந்தது, அறுக்கிறதற்குக் காலம் வந்தது, ஆகையால் உம்முடைய அரிவாளை நீட்டி அறுத்துவிடும் என்று மிகுந்த சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னான்.

And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

அப்பொழுது மேகத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்தவர் தமது அரிவாளைப் பூமியின்மேல் நீட்டினார், பூமியின் விளைவு அறுப்புண்டது.

And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

பின்பு வேறொரு தூதனும் கருக்குள்ள அரிவாளைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு பரலோகத்திலுள்ள தேவாலயத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுவந்தான்.

And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle.

அக்கினியின்மேல் அதிகாரமுள்ள வேறொரு தூதனும் பலிபீடத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டுவந்து, கருக்குள்ள அரிவாளைப் பிடித்திருக்கிறவனை நோக்கி: பூமியின் திராட்சப்பழங்கள் பழுத்திருக்கிறது, கருக்குள்ள உமது அரிவாளை நீட்டி, அதின் குலைகளை அறுத்துவிடும் என்று மிகுந்த சத்தத்தோடே சொன்னான்.

And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe.

அப்பொழுது அந்தத் தூதன் தன் அரிவாளைப் பூமியின்மேலே நீட்டி, பூமியின் திராட்சப்பழங்களை அறுத்து, தேவனுடைய கோபாக்கினையென்னும் பெரிய ஆலையிலே போட்டான்;

And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

நகரத்திற்குப் புறம்பேயுள்ள அந்த ஆலையிலே அது மிதிக்கப்பட்டது; அந்த ஆலையிலிருந்து ஆயிரத்தறுநூறு ஸ்தாதி தூரத்திற்கு இரத்தம் புறப்பட்டுக் குதிரைகளின் கடிவாளங்கள்மட்டும் பெருகிவந்தது.
