ஆகாய் அத்தியாயம் 1

ராஜாவாகிய தரியு அரசாண்ட இரண்டாம் வருஷம் ஆறாம் மாதம் முதலாந்தேதியிலே, கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை ஆகாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் மூலமாய் செயல்த்தியேலின் குமாரனாகிய செருபாபேல் என்னும் யூதாவின் தலைவனுக்கும், யோத்சதாக்கின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் பிரதான ஆசாரியனுக்கும் உண்டாகி, அவர் சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்:

In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

இந்த ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுகிறதற்கு ஏற்றகாலம் இன்னும் வரவில்லை என்கிறார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, This people say, The time is not come, the time that the LORD'S house should be built.

ஆனாலும் ஆகாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் மூலமாய்க் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உண்டாகி, அவர் சொல்லுகிறார்:

Then came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

இந்த வீடு பாழாய்க்கிடக்கும்போது, நீங்கள் மச்சுப்பாவப்பட்ட உங்கள் வீடுகளில் குடியிருக்கும்படியான காலம் இதுவோ?

Is it time for you, O ye, to dwell in your cieled houses, and this house lie waste?

இப்போதும் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்: உங்கள் வழிகளைச் சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள்.

Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

நீங்கள் திரளாய் விதைத்தும் கொஞ்சமாய் அறுத்துக்கொண்டுவருகிறீர்கள்; நீங்கள் புசித்தும் திருப்தியாகவில்லை; குடித்தும் பரிபூரணமடையவில்லை; நீங்கள் வஸ்திரம் உடுத்தியும் ஒருவனுக்கும் குளிர்விடவில்லை; கூலியைச் சம்பாதிக்கிறவன் பொத்தலான பையிலே போடுகிறவனாய் அதைச் சம்பாதிக்கிறான்.

Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes.

உங்கள் வழிகளைச் சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways.

நீங்கள் மலையின்மேல் ஏறிப்போய், மரங்களை வெட்டிக்கொண்டுவந்து, ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுங்கள்; அதின்பேரில் நான் பிரியமாயிருப்பேன், அதினால் என் மகிமை விளங்கும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Go up to the mountain, and bring wood, and build the house; and I will take pleasure in it, and I will be glorified, saith the LORD.

அதிகமாய் வருமென்று நீங்கள் எதிர்பார்த்திருந்தும், இதோ, கொஞ்சம் கிடைத்தது; நீங்கள் அறுத்து வீட்டுக்குக் கொண்டுவந்தும், நான் அதை ஊதிப்போடுகிறேன்; எதினிமித்தமென்றால், என் வீடு பாழாய்க் கிடக்கும்போது, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் அவனவன் தன்தன் வீட்டிற்கு ஓடிப்போகிறீர்களே, இதினிமித்தமே என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the LORD of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house.

ஆதலால் உங்கள்மேல் இருக்கிற வானம் பனியைப் பெய்யாமலும், பூமி பலனைக் கொடாமலும் போயிற்று.

Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her fruit.

நான் நிலத்தின்மேலும், மலைகளின்மேலும், தானியத்தின்மேலும், புது திராட்சரசத்தின்மேலும், எண்ணெயின்மேலும், பூமியில் விளைகிற எல்லாவற்றின்மேலும், மனுஷரின்மேலும், மிருகங்களின்மேலும், கைப்பாடு அனைத்தின்மேலும் வறட்சியை வருவித்தேன் என்றார்.

And I called for a drought upon the land, and upon the mountains, and upon the corn, and upon the new wine, and upon the oil, and upon that which the ground bringeth forth, and upon men, and upon cattle, and upon all the labour of the hands.

அப்பொழுது செயல்த்தியேலின் குமாரனாகிய செருபாபேலும், யோத்சதாக்கின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் பிரதான ஆசாரியனும், ஜனத்தில் மீதியான அனைவரும் தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்கும், தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அனுப்பின ஆகாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியினுடைய வார்த்தைகளுக்கும் செவிகொடுத்தார்கள், ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகப் பயந்திருந்தார்கள்.

Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய தூதனாகிய ஆகாய், கர்த்தர் தூதனுப்பிய வார்த்தையின்படி ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நான் உங்களோடே இருக்கிறேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

Then spake Haggai the LORD'S messenger in the LORD'S message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD.

பின்பு கர்த்தர் செயல்த்தியேலின் குமாரனாகிய செருபாபேல் என்னும் யூதாவின் தலைவனுடைய ஆவியையும், யோத்சதாக்கின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் பிரதான ஆசாரியனுடைய ஆவியையும், ஜனத்தில் மீதியான எல்லாருடைய ஆவியையும் எழுப்பினார்; அவர்கள் வந்து, தங்கள் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்திலே வேலைசெய்தார்கள்.

And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

தரியு ராஜாவின் இரண்டாம் வருஷம் ஆறாம் மாதம் இருபத்து நாலாந்தேதியிலே இது நடந்தது.

In the four and twentieth day of the sixth month, in the second year of Darius the king.

ஆகாய் அத்தியாயம் 2

ஏழாம் மாதம் இருபத்தோராந்தேதியிலே ஆகாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் மூலமாய், கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உண்டாயிற்று; அவர்:

In the seventh month, in the one and twentieth day of the month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

நீ செயல்த்தியேலின் குமாரனாகிய செருபாபேல் என்னும் யூதாவின் தலைவனோடும், யோத்சதாக்கின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் பிரதான ஆசாரியனோடும், ஜனத்தில் மீதியானவர்களோடும் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்:

Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,

இந்த ஆலயத்தின் முந்தின மகிமையைக் கண்டவர்களில் உங்களுக்குள்ளே மீந்திருக்கிறவர்கள் யார்? இப்பொழுது இது உங்களுக்கு எப்படிக் காண்கிறது? அதற்கு இது உங்கள் பார்வையில் ஒன்றுமில்லாததுபோல் காண்கிறதல்லவா?

Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

ஆனாலும் செருபாபேலே, நீ திடன்கொள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; யோத்சதாக்கின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் பிரதான ஆசாரியனே, நீ திடன்கொள்; தேசத்தின் எல்லா ஜனங்களே, நீங்கள் திடன் கொள்ளுங்கள், வேலையை நடத்துங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் உங்களுடனே இருக்கிறேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:

நீங்கள் எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படுகிறபோது நான் உங்களோடே உடன்படிக்கைப்பண்ணின வார்த்தையின்படியே, என் ஆவியானவரும் உங்கள் நடுவில் நிலைகொண்டிருப்பார்; பயப்படாதேயுங்கள்.

According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்: கொஞ்சக்காலத்துக்குள்ளே இன்னும் ஒருதரம் நான் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சமுத்திரத்தையும் வெட்டாந்தரையையும் அசையப்பண்ணுவேன்.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

சகல ஜாதிகளையும் அசையப்பண்ணுவேன், சகல ஜாதிகளாலும் விரும்பப்பட்டவர் வருவார்; இந்த ஆலயத்தை மகிமையினால் நிறையப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.

வெள்ளியும் என்னுடையது, பொன்னும் என்னுடையது என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.

முந்தின ஆலயத்தின் மகிமையைப்பார்க்கிலும், இந்தப் பிந்தின ஆலயத்தின் மகிமை பெரிதாயிருக்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; இவ்விடத்திலே சமாதானத்தைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.

தரியுவின் இரண்டாம் வருஷம் ஒன்பதாம் மாதம் இருபத்துநாலாந்தேதியிலே, ஆகாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் மூலமாய்க் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை உண்டாயிற்று; அவர்:

In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet, saying,

ஒருவன் தன் வஸ்திரத்தின் தொங்கலிலே பரிசுத்த மாம்சத்தைக் கொண்டுபோகையில் தன் வஸ்திரத்தின் தொங்கல் அப்பத்தையாகிலும், சாதத்தையாகிலும், திராட்சரசத்தையாகிலும், எண்ணெயையாகிலும், மற்றெந்த போஜனபதார்த்தத்தையாகிலும் தொட்டால் அது பரிசுத்தமாகுமோ என்று நீ ஆசாரியரிடத்தில் வேத நியாயத்தைப்பற்றிக் கேள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றார்.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

அதற்கு ஆசாரியர்கள் பிரதியுத்தமாக: பரிசுத்தமாகாது என்றார்கள்.

If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No.

பிணத்தால் தீட்டுப்பட்டவன் அவைகளில் எதையாகிலும் தொட்டால், அது தீட்டுப்படுமோ என்று ஆகாய் பின்னும் கேட்டான்; அதற்கு ஆசாரியர்கள் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: தீட்டுப்படும் என்றார்கள்.

Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean.

அப்பொழுது ஆகாய்; அப்படியே இந்த ஜனங்களும் இந்த ஜாதியாரும் என் சமுகத்தில் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அவர்களுடைய கைகளின் எல்லாக் கிரியைகளும் அப்படியே இருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் அங்கே கொண்டுவந்து படைக்கிறதும் தீட்டுப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

Then answered Haggai, and said, So is this people, and so is this nation before me, saith the LORD; and so is every work of their hands; and that which they offer there is unclean.

இப்போதும் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டும்படி ஒரு கல்லின்மேல் ஒரு கல் வைக்கப்பட்டது முதல் நடந்ததை உங்கள் மனதிலே சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள்.

And now, I pray you, consider from this day and upward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of the LORD:

அந்த நாட்கள் முதல் ஒருவன் இருபது மரக்காலாகக் கண்ட அம்பாரத்தினிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, பத்து மரக்கால் மாத்திரம் இருந்தது; ஒருவன் ஆலையின் தொட்டியில் ஐம்பது குடம் மொள்ள ஆலையினிடத்திலே வந்தபோது இருபது குடம் மாத்திரம் இருந்தது.

Since those days were, when one came to an heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty.

கருக்காயினாலும் விஷப்பனியினாலும் கல்மழையினாலும் உங்களை உங்கள் கைகளின் வேலையிலெல்லாம் அடித்தேன்; ஆனாலும் நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் மனதைத் திருப்பாமல்போனீர்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands; yet ye turned not to me, saith the LORD.

இப்போதும் இதற்கு முந்தின காலத்தில் நடந்ததை உங்கள் மனதிலே சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள்; ஒன்பதாம் மாதம் இருபத்துநாலாந்தேதியாகிய இந்நாள்முதல் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் அஸ்திபாரம் போடப்பட்ட அந்நாள்வரைக்கும் சென்ற காலத்தில் நடந்ததை உங்கள் மனதிலே சிந்தித்துப்பாருங்கள்.

Consider now from this day and upward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, even from the day that the foundation of the LORD'S temple was laid, consider it.

களஞ்சியத்தில் இன்னும் விதைத்தானியம் உண்டோ? திராட்சச்செடியும் அத்திமரமும் மாதளஞ்செடியும் ஒலிவமரமும் கனிகொடுக்கவில்லையே; நான் இன்றுமுதல் உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பேன் என்று சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, as yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you.

இருபத்துநாலாந்தேதியாகிய அந்நாளிலே கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை இரண்டாம் விசை ஆகாய் என்பவனுக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

And again the word of the LORD came unto Haggai in the four and twentieth day of the month, saying,

நீ யூதாவின் தலைவனாகிய செருபாபேலோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால், நான் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் அசையப்பண்ணி,

Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth;

ராஜ்யங்களின் சிங்காசனத்தைக் கவிழ்த்து, ஜாதிகளுடைய ராஜ்யங்களின் பெலத்தை அழித்து, இரதத்தையும் அதில் ஏறியிருக்கிறவர்களையும் கவிழ்த்துப்போடுவேன்; குதிரைகளோடே அவைகளின்மேல் ஏறியிருப்பவர்களும் அவரவர் தங்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரனின் பட்டயத்தினாலே விழுவார்கள்.

And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother.

சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்: செயல்த்தியேலின் குமாரனாகிய செருபாபேல் என்னும் என் ஊழியக்காரனே, உன்னை நான் அந்நாளிலே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு, உன்னை முத்திரை மோதிரமாக வைப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; நான் உன்னைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.

வெளிப்படுத்தல் அத்தியாயம் 11

பின்பு கைக்கோலுக்கு ஒப்பான ஒரு அளவுகோல் என்னிடத்தில் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. அப்பொழுது தேவதூதன் நின்று, என்னை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்து, தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தையும், பலிபீடத்தையும், அதில் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவர்களையும் அளந்துபார்.

And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.

ஆலயத்திற்குப் புறம்பே இருக்கிற பிராகாரம் புறஜாதியாருக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டபடியால் அதை அளவாமல் புறம்பாக்கிப்போடு; பரிசுத்த நகரத்தை அவர்கள் நாற்பத்திரண்டு மாதமளவும் மிதிப்பார்கள்.

But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

என்னுடைய இரண்டு சாட்சிகளும் இரட்டு வஸ்திரமுடுத்திக்கொண்டிருக்கிறவர்களாய், ஆயிரத்திருநூற்றறுபது நாளளவும் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்லும்படி அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரம் கொடுப்பேன்.

And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

பூலோகத்தின் ஆண்டவருக்குமுன்பாக நிற்கிற இரண்டு ஒலிவமரங்களும் இரண்டு விளக்குத்தண்டுகளும் இவர்களே.

These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

ஒருவன் அவர்களைச் சேதப்படுத்த மனதாயிருந்தால், அவர்களுடைய வாயிலிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டு, அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்களைப் பட்சிக்கும்; அவர்களைச் சேதப்படுத்த மனதாயிருக்கிறவன் எவனோ அவன் அப்படியே கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்.

And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லிவருகிற நாட்களிலே மழைபெய்யாதபடிக்கு வானத்தை அடைக்க அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு; அவர்கள் தண்ணீர்களை இரத்தமாக மாற்றவும், தங்களுக்கு வேண்டும்போதெல்லாம் பூமியைச் சகலவித வாதைகளாலும் வாதிக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு.

These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் சாட்சியைச் சொல்லி முடித்திருக்கும்போது, பாதாளத்திலிருந்தேறுகிற மிருகம் அவர்களோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அவர்களை ஜெயித்து, அவர்களைக் கொன்றுபோடும்.

And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

அவர்களுடைய உடல்கள் மகாநகரத்தின் விசாலமான வீதியிலே கிடக்கும். அந்த நகரம் சோதோம் என்றும் எகிப்து என்றும் ஞானார்த்தமாய்ச் சொல்லப்படும்; அதிலே நம்முடைய கர்த்தரும் சிலுவையிலே அறையப்பட்டார்.

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

ஜனங்களிலும், கோத்திரங்களிலும், பாஷைக்காரரிலும், ஜாதிகளிலுமுள்ளவர்கள் அவர்களுடைய உடல்களை மூன்றரைநாள்வரைக்கும் பார்ப்பார்கள், அவர்களுடைய உடல்களைக் கல்லறைகளில் வைக்கவொட்டார்கள்.

And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

அவ்விரண்டு தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் பூமியின் குடிகளை வேதனைப்படுத்தினபடியால் அவர்கள் நிமித்தம் பூமியில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்கள் சந்தோஷப்பட்டுக் களிகூர்ந்து, ஒருவருக்கொருவர் வெகுமதிகளை அனுப்புவார்கள்.

And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

மூன்றரை நாளைக்குப்பின்பு தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து ஜீவ ஆவி அவர்களுக்குள் பிரவேசித்தது, அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் காலூன்றி நின்றார்கள்; அவர்களைப் பார்த்தவர்களுக்கு மிகுந்த பயமுண்டாயிற்று.

And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

இங்கே ஏறிவாருங்கள் என்று வானத்திலிருந்து தங்களுக்கு உண்டான பெரிய சத்தத்தை அவர்கள் கேட்டு, மேகத்தில் ஏறி வானத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய சத்துருக்கள் அவர்களைப் பார்த்தார்கள்.

And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.

அந்நேரத்திலே பூமி மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது, உடனே அந்த நகரத்தில் பத்திலொருபங்கு இடிந்து விழுந்தது; மனுஷரில் ஏழாயிரம்பேர் பூமியதிர்ச்சியினால் அழிந்தார்கள்; மீதியானவர்கள் பயமடைந்து பரலோகத்தின் தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

இரண்டாம் ஆபத்து கடந்துபோயிற்று; இதோ, மூன்றாம் ஆபத்து சீக்கிரமாய் வருகிறது.

The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.

ஏழாம் தூதன் எக்காளம் ஊதினான்; அப்பொழுது உலகத்தின் ராஜ்யங்கள் நம்முடைய கர்த்தருக்கும், அவருடைய கிறிஸ்துவுக்குமுரிய ராஜ்யங்களாயின; அவர் சதாகாலங்களிலும் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணுவார் என்னும் கெம்பீர சத்தங்கள் வானத்தில் உண்டாயின.

And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

அப்பொழுது தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகத் தங்கள் சிங்காசனங்கள்மேல் உட்கார்ந்திருந்த இருபத்துநான்கு மூப்பர்களும் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து:

And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,

இருக்கிறவரும் இருந்தவரும் வருகிறவருமாகிய சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள கர்த்தராகிய தேவனே, உம்மை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறோம்; தேவரீர் உமது மகா வல்லமையைக்கொண்டு ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணுகிறீர்.

Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.

ஜாதிகள் கோபித்தார்கள், அப்பொழுது உம்முடைய கோபம் மூண்டது; மரித்தோர் நியாயத்தீர்ப்படைகிறதற்கும், தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரருக்கும் பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும் உமது நாமத்தின்மேல் பயபக்தியாயிருந்த சிறியோர் பெரியோருக்கும் பலனளிக்கிறதற்கும், பூமியைக் கெடுத்தவர்களைக் கெடுக்கிறதற்கும், காலம் வந்தது என்று சொல்லி, தேவனைத் தொழுதுகொண்டார்கள்.

And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

அப்பொழுது பரலோகத்தில் தேவனுடைய ஆலயம் திறக்கப்பட்டது, அவருடைய ஆலயத்திலே அவருடைய உடன்படிக்கையின் பெட்டி காணப்பட்டது; அப்பொழுது மின்னல்களும், சத்தங்களும், இடிமுழக்கங்களும், பூமியதிர்ச்சியும், பெருங்கல்மழையும் உண்டாயின.

And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

வெளிப்படுத்தல் அத்தியாயம் 12

அன்றியும் ஒரு பெரிய அடையாளம் வானத்திலே காணப்பட்டது; ஒரு ஸ்திரீ சூரியனை அணிந்திருந்தாள், அவள் பாதங்களின் கீழே சந்திரனும், அவள் சிரசின்மேல் பன்னிரண்டு நட்சத்திரங்களுள்ள கிரீடமும் இருந்தன.

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

அவள் கர்ப்பவதியாயிருந்து, பிரசவவேதனையடைந்து, பிள்ளைபெறும்படி வருத்தப்பட்டு அலறினாள்.

And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

அப்பொழுது வேறொரு அடையாளம் வானத்திலே காணப்பட்டது; ஏழு தலைகளையும், பத்துக் கொம்புகளையும், தன் தலைகளின்மேல் ஏழு முடிகளையுமுடைய சிவப்பான பெரிய வலுசர்ப்பமிருந்தது.

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

அதின் வால் வானத்தின் நட்சத்திரங்களில் மூன்றிலொருபங்கை இழுத்து, அவைகளைப் பூமியில் விழத்தள்ளிற்று; பிரசவவேதனைப்படுகிற அந்த ஸ்திரீ பிள்ளைபெற்றவுடனே, அவளுடைய பிள்ளையைப் பட்சித்துப்போடும்படிக்கு அந்த வலுசர்ப்பம் அவளுக்கு முன்பாக நின்றது.

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

சகல ஜாதிகளையும் இருப்புக்கோலால் ஆளுகைசெய்யும் ஆண்பிள்ளையை அவள் பெற்றாள்; அவளுடைய பிள்ளை தேவனிடத்திற்கும் அவருடைய சிங்காசனத்தினிடத்திற்கும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டது.

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் வனாந்தரத்திற்கு ஓடிப்போனாள்; அங்கே ஆயிரத்திருநூற்றறுபதுநாளளவும் அவளைப் போஷிப்பதற்காக தேவனால் ஆயத்தமாக்கப்பட்ட இடம் அவளுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்தது.

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

வானத்திலே யுத்தமுண்டாயிற்று; மிகாவேலும் அவனைச் சேர்ந்த தூதர்களும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணினார்கள்; வலுசர்ப்பமும் அதைச் சேர்ந்த தூதரும் யுத்தம்பண்ணியும் ஜெயங்கொள்ளவில்லை.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

வானத்தில் அவர்கள் இருந்த இடமும் காணப்படாமற்போயிற்று.

And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

உலகமனைத்தையும் மோசம்போக்குகிற பிசாசு என்றும் சாத்தான் என்றும் சொல்லப்பட்ட பழைய பாம்பாகிய பெரிய வலுசர்ப்பம் தள்ளப்பட்டது; அது பூமியிலே விழத்தள்ளப்பட்டது, அதனோடேகூட அதைச் சேர்ந்த தூதரும் தள்ளப்பட்டார்கள்.

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

அப்பொழுது வானத்திலே ஒரு பெரிய சத்தமுண்டாகி: இப்பொழுது இரட்சிப்பும் வல்லமையும் நமது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யமும், அவருடைய கிறிஸ்துவின் அதிகாரமும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது; இரவும் பகலும் நம்முடைய தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக நம்முடைய சகோதரர்மேல் குற்றஞ்சுமத்தும்பொருட்டு அவர்கள்மேல் குற்றஞ்சாட்டுகிறவன் தாழத்தள்ளப்பட்டுப்போனான்.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

மரணம் நேரிடுகிறதாயிருந்தாலும் அதற்குத் தப்பும்படி தங்கள் ஜீவனையும் பாராமல், ஆட்டுக்குட்டியின் இரத்தத்தினாலும் தங்கள் சாட்சியின் வசனத்தினாலும் அவனை ஜெயித்தார்கள்.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

ஆகையால் பரலோகங்களே! அவைகளில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறவர்களே! களிகூருங்கள். பூமியிலும் சமுத்திரத்திலும் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களே! ஐயோ, பிசாசானவன் தனக்குக் கொஞ்சக்காலமாத்திரம் உண்டென்று அறிந்து, மிகுந்த கோபங்கொண்டு, உங்களிடத்தில் இறங்கினபடியால், உங்களுக்கு ஆபத்துவரும் என்று சொல்லக்கேட்டேன்.

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

வலுசர்ப்பமானது தான் பூமியிலே தள்ளப்பட்டதை அறிந்து, அந்த ஆண் பிள்ளையைப்பெற்ற ஸ்திரீயைத் துன்பப்படுத்தினது.

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் அந்த பாம்பின் முகத்திற்கு விலகி, ஒரு காலமும், காலங்களும், அரைக்காலமுமாகப் போஷிக்கப்படத்தக்கதாய் வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள தன் இடத்திற்குப் பறந்துபோகும்படி பெருங்கழுகின் இரண்டு சிறகுகள் அவளுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

அப்பொழுது அந்த ஸ்திரீயை வெள்ளங்கொண்டுபோகும்படிக்குப் பாம்பானது தன் வாயிலிருந்து ஒரு நதிபோன்ற வெள்ளத்தை அவளுக்குப் பின்னாக ஊற்றிவிட்டது.

And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

பூமியானது ஸ்திரீக்கு உதவியாகத் தன் வாயைத் திறந்து, வலுசர்ப்பம் தன் வாயிலிருந்து ஊற்றின வெள்ளத்தை விழுங்கினது.

And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

அப்பொழுது வலுசர்ப்பமானது ஸ்திரீயின்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டு, தேவனுடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களும், இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சியை உடையவர்களுமாகிய அவளுடைய சந்ததியான மற்றவர்களுடனே யுத்தம்பண்ணப்போயிற்று.

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
