எரேமியா அத்தியாயம் 52

சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தொரு வயதாயிருந்தான்; அவன் பதினொரு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணினான்; அவனுடைய தாயின் பேர் அமூத்தாள், அவள் லீப்னா ஊரானாகிய எரேமியாவின் குமாரத்தி.

Zedekiah was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

யோயாக்கீம் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் அவனும் கர்த்தருடைய பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

And he did that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

எருசலேமையும் யூதாவையும் கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய சமுகத்தைவிட்டு அகற்றித் தீருமளவும், அவைகளின் மேலுள்ள அவருடைய கோபத்தினால் இப்படி நடந்ததும் அல்லாமல், சிதேக்கியா பாபிலோன் ராஜாவுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம்பண்ணினான்.

For through the anger of the LORD it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

அவன் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணும் ஒன்பதாம் வருஷம் பத்தாம் மாதம் பத்தாந்தேதியிலே பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரும், அவனுடைய எல்லா இராணுவமும் எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாய் வந்து, அதற்கு எதிராகப் பாளயமிறங்கி, சுற்றிலும் அதற்கு எதிராகக் கொத்தளங்களைக் கட்டினார்கள்.

And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.

அப்படியே சிதேக்கியா ராஜாவின் பதினோராம் வருஷமட்டும் நகரம் முற்றிக்கை போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

நாலாம் மாதம் ஒன்பதாம் தேதியிலே பஞ்சம் நகரத்திலே அதிகரித்து, தேசத்தின் ஜனத்துக்கு ஆகாரமில்லாமல்போயிற்று.

And in the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was sore in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

நகரத்தின் மதில் இடிக்கப்பட்டது; அப்பொழுது கல்தேயர் நகரத்தைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கையில், யுத்த மனுஷர் எல்லாரும் இராத்திரிகாலத்தில் ஓடி, ராஜாவுடைய தோட்டத்தின் வழியே இரண்டு மதில்களுக்கும் நடுவான வாசலால் நகரத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, வயல்வெளியின் வழியே போய்விட்டார்கள்.

Then the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were by the city round about:) and they went by the way of the plain.

ஆனாலும் கல்தேயருடைய இராணுவத்தார் ராஜாவைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து, எரிகோவின் சமனான பூமியில் சிதேக்கியாவைக் கிட்டினார்கள்; அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய இராணுவத்தார் எல்லாரும் அவனைவிட்டுச் சிதறிப்போயிருந்தார்கள்.

But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

அவர்கள் ராஜாவைப் பிடித்து, அவனை ஆமாத் தேசத்தின் ஊராகிய ரிப்லாவுக்குப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சாரிடத்துக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; அங்கே இவனுக்கு நியாயத்தீர்ப்புக் கொடுத்தான்.

Then they took the king, and carried him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; where he gave judgment upon him.

பின்பு பாபிலோன் ராஜா சிதேக்கியாவின் குமாரரை அவன் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டினான்; யூதாவின் பிரபுக்களெல்லாரையும் ரிப்லாவிலே வெட்டினான்.

And the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he slew also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

சிதேக்கியாவின் கண்களைக் குருடாக்கி, அவனுக்கு இரண்டு விலங்குகளைப் போடுவித்தான்; பின்பு பாபிலோன் ராஜா அவனைப் பாபிலோனுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவன் மரணமடையும் நாள்மட்டும் அவனைக் காவல் வீட்டில் அடைத்துவைத்தான்.

Then he put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in chains, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison till the day of his death.

ஐந்தாம் மாதம் பத்தாந்தேதியிலே, பாபிலோன் ராஜாவுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கிறவனாகிய காவற்சேனாதிபதியான நேபுசராதான் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தான்; அது நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் ராஜா பாபிலோனை அரசாளுகிற பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷமாயிருந்தது.

Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,

அவன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தையும், ராஜாவின் அரமனையையும், எருசலேமிலுள்ள எல்லா வீடுகளையும், ஒவ்வொரு பெரிய மனிதனுடைய வீட்டையும் அக்கினியினால் சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான்.

And burned the house of the LORD, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:

காவற்சேனாதிபதியோடிருந்த கல்தேயரின் இராணுவத்தாரெல்லாரும் எருசலேமைச் சுற்றிலும் இருந்த அலங்கங்களை இடித்துப்போட்டார்கள்.

And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.

ஜனத்தில் ஏழைகளான சிலரையும் நகரத்தில் மீதியான மற்ற ஜனத்தையும், பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் வசமாக ஓடிவந்துவிட்டவர்களையும், மற்ற ஜனங்களையும் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் சிறைகளாகக் கொண்டுபோனான்.

Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive certain of the poor of the people, and the residue of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude.

ஆனால் தேசத்தாரில் ஏழைகளான சிலரைக் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் திராட்சத்தோட்டக்காரராகவும் பயிரிடுங்குடிகளாகவும் விட்டுவைத்தான்.

But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left certain of the poor of the land for vinedressers and for husbandmen.

கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்த வெண்கலத் தூண்களையும், கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலிருந்த ஆதாரங்களையும், வெண்கலக் கடல்தொட்டியையும் கல்தேயர் உடைத்துப்போட்டு, அவைகளின் வெண்கலத்தையெல்லாம் பாபிலோனுக்கு எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

Also the pillars of brass that were in the house of the LORD, and the bases, and the brasen sea that was in the house of the LORD, the Chaldeans brake, and carried all the brass of them to Babylon.

செப்புச்சட்டிகளையும், சாம்பல் எடுக்கும் கரண்டிகளையும், வெட்டுக்கத்திகளையும், கலங்களையும், கலயங்களையும், ஆராதனைக்குரிய சகல வெண்கலப்பணிமுட்டுகளையும் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

The caldrons also, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass wherewith they ministered, took they away.

பசும்பொன்னும் சுத்தவெள்ளியுமான கிண்ணங்களையும், தூபகலசங்களையும், கலங்களையும், சட்டிகளையும், விளக்குத்தண்டுகளையும், கலயங்களையும், கரகங்களையும் காவற்சேனாதிபதி எடுத்துக்கொண்டான்.

And the basons, and the firepans, and the bowls, and the caldrons, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups; that which was of gold in gold, and that which was of silver in silver, took the captain of the guard away.

சாலொமோன் ராஜா கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்துக்காகச் செய்து வைத்த இரண்டு தூண்களும் ஒரு கடல்தொட்டியும் ஆதாரங்களின் கீழ்நின்ற பன்னிரண்டு வெண்கல ரிஷபங்களும் ஆகிய இவைகளுக்குரிய வெண்கலத்துக்கு நிறையில்லை.

The two pillars, one sea, and twelve brasen bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made in the house of the LORD: the brass of all these vessels was without weight.

அந்தத் தூண்களோவெனில், ஒவ்வொரு தூண் பதினெட்டுமுழ உயரமாயிருந்தது; பன்னிரண்டு முழ நூல் அதைச் சுற்றும்; நாலு விரற்கடை அதின் கனம்; உள்ளே குழாயாயிருந்தது.

And concerning the pillars, the height of one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a fillet of twelve cubits did compass it; and the thickness thereof was four fingers: it was hollow.

அதின்மேல் வெண்கலக் குமிழ் இருந்தது; ஒரு குமிழின் உயரம் ஐந்து முழம், குமிழிலே சுற்றிலும் பின்னலும் மாதளம்பழங்களும் செய்திருந்தது; எல்லாம் வெண்கலமாயிருந்தது; அதற்குச் சரியாய் மற்றத் தூணுக்கும் மாதளம்பழங்களும் செய்திருந்தது.

And a chapiter of brass was upon it; and the height of one chapiter was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the chapiters round about, all of brass. The second pillar also and the pomegranates were like unto these.

தொண்ணூற்றாறு மாதளம்பழங்கள் நான்கு திசைகளுக்கும் எதிராகச் செய்திருந்தது; குமிழைச் சுற்றிலும் செய்திருந்த மாதளம்பழங்கள் நூறு.

And there were ninety and six pomegranates on a side; and all the pomegranates upon the network were an hundred round about.

காவற்சேனாதிபதி பிரதானஆசாரியனாகிய செராயாவையும், இரண்டாம் ஆசாரியனாகிய செப்பனியாவையும், வாசற்படியின் மூன்று காவற்காரரையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனான்.

And the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the door:

நகரத்திலோவென்றால் அவன் யுத்தமனுஷரின் விசாரிப்புக்காரனாகிய பிரதானி ஒருவனையும், ராஜாவின் மந்திரிகளில் நகரத்தில் அகப்பட்ட ஏழுபேரையும், தேசத்தின் ஜனத்தைச் சேவகம் எழுதுகிற தலைமையான சம்பிரதியையும், தேசத்து ஜனத்திலே பட்டணத்தின் நடுவில் அகப்பட்ட அறுபது பேரையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனான்.

He took also out of the city an eunuch, which had the charge of the men of war; and seven men of them that were near the king's person, which were found in the city; and the principal scribe of the host, who mustered the people of the land; and threescore men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city.

அவர்களைக் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் பிடித்து, அவர்களை ரிப்லாவுக்குப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவினிடத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோய்விட்டான்.

So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and brought them to the king of Babylon to Riblah.

அப்பொழுது பாபிலோன் ராஜா ஆமாத் என்னும் தேசத்தின் பட்டணமாகிய ரிப்லாவிலே அவர்களை வெட்டிக்கொன்றுபோட்டான்; இவ்விதமாக யூதர்கள் தங்கள் தேசத்திலிருந்து சிறைகளாய்க் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டார்கள்.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. Thus Judah was carried away captive out of his own land.

நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் சிறைபிடித்துப்போன ஜனங்களின் தொகை எவ்வளவென்றால், ஏழாம் வருஷத்தில் மூவாயிரத்து இருபத்து மூன்று யூதரும்,

This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away captive: in the seventh year three thousand Jews and three and twenty:

நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய பதினெட்டாம் வருஷத்தில் எருசலேமிலிருந்து எண்ணூற்று முப்பத்திரண்டு பேர்களும் கொண்டுபோகப்பட்டார்கள்.

In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar he carried away captive from Jerusalem eight hundred thirty and two persons:

நேபுகாத்நேச்சாருடைய இருபத்துமூன்றாம் வருஷத்தில் காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான் யூதரில் எழுநூற்று நாற்பத்தைந்துபேர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனான்; ஆக நாலாயிரத்து அறுநூறு பேர்களாம்.

In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons: all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீனுடைய சிறையிருப்பின் முப்பத்தேழாம் வருஷம் பன்னிரண்டாம் மாதம் இருபத்தைந்தாம் தேதியிலே, ஏவில்மெரொதாக் என்னும் பாபிலோன் ராஜா, தான் ராஜாவான வருஷத்திலே, யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோயாக்கீனைச் சிறைச்சாலையிலிருந்து வெளிப்படப்பண்ணி, அவன் தலையை உயர்த்தி.

And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the five and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the first year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brought him forth out of prison,

அவனோடே அன்பாய்ப் பேசி, அவனுடைய ஆசனத்தைத் தன்னோடே பாபிலோனில் இருந்த ராஜாக்களுடைய ஆசனங்களுக்கு மேலாக வைத்து,

And spake kindly unto him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,

அவனுடைய சிறையிருப்பு வஸ்திரங்களை மாற்றினான்; அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த சகல நாளும் தன் சமுகத்தில் நித்தம் போஜனம்பண்ணும்படிசெய்தான்.

And changed his prison garments: and he did continually eat bread before him all the days of his life.

அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த நாளெல்லாம் அவனுடைய மரணநாள் பரியந்தமும், அவனுடைய செலவுக்காகப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவினால் கட்டளையான அநுதினத் திட்டத்தின்படி, அநுதினமும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டுவந்தது.

And for his diet, there was a continual diet given him of the king of Babylon, every day a portion until the day of his death, all the days of his life.

2கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 3

எங்களை நாங்களே மறுபடியும் மெச்சிக்கொள்ளத் தொடங்குகிறோமோ? அல்லது சிலருக்கு வேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறதுபோல, உங்களுக்கு உபசார நிருபங்களை அனுப்பவும், உங்களிடத்தில் உபசார நிருபங்களைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளவும் எங்களுக்கு வேண்டியதோ?

Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

எங்கள் இருதயங்களில் எழுதப்பட்டும், சகல மனுஷராலும் அறிந்து வாசிக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கிற எங்கள் நிருபம் நீங்கள்தானே.

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் எங்கள் ஊழியத்தினால் உண்டாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் நிருபமாயிருக்கிறீர்களென்று வெளியரங்கமாயிருக்கிறது; அது மையினாலல்ல, ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய ஆவியினாலும்; கற்பலகைகளிலல்ல, இருதயங்களாகிய சதையான பலகைகளிலேயும் எழுதப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

நாங்கள் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகக் கிறிஸ்துவின் மூலமாய் இப்படிப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கையைக் கொண்டிருக்கிறோம்.

And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

எங்களால் ஏதாகிலும் ஆகும் என்பதுபோல ஒன்றை யோசிக்கிறதற்கு நாங்கள் எங்களாலே தகுதியானவர்கள் அல்ல; எங்களுடைய தகுதி தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;

புது உடன்படிக்கையின் ஊழியக்காரராயிருக்கும்படி, அவரே எங்களைத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாக்கினார்; அந்த உடன்படிக்கை எழுத்திற்குரியதாயிராமல், ஆவிக்குரியதாயிருக்கிறது; எழுத்து கொல்லுகிறது, ஆவியோ உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறது.

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

எழுத்துக்களினால் எழுதப்பட்டுக் கற்களில் பதிந்திருந்த மரணத்துக்கேதுவான ஊழியத்தைச் செய்த மோசேயினுடைய முகத்திலே மகிமைப்பிரகாசம் உண்டானபடியால், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அவன் முகத்தை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கக்கூடாதிருந்தார்களே.

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:

ஒழிந்துபோகிற மகிமையையுடைய அந்த ஊழியம் அப்படிப்பட்ட மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருந்தால், ஆவிக்குரிய ஊழியம் எவ்வளவு அதிக மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருக்கும்?

How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?

ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்புக் கொடுக்கும் ஊழியம் மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருந்தால், நீதியைக் கொடுக்கும் ஊழியம் அதிக மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருக்குமே.

For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.

இப்படியாக, மகிமைப்பட்டிருந்த அந்த ஊழியம் இந்த ஊழியத்திற்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற சிறந்த மகிமைக்குமுன்பாக மகிமைப்பட்டதல்ல.

For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.

அன்றியும் ஒழிந்துபோவதே மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருந்ததானால், நிலைத்திருப்பது அதிக மகிமையுள்ளதாயிருக்குமே.

For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.

நாங்கள் இப்படிப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கையை உடையவர்களாதலால், மிகவும் தாராளமாய்ப் பேசுகிறோம்.

Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

மேலும் ஒழிந்துபோவதின் முடிவை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் நோக்கிப்பாராதபடிக்கு, மோசே தன் முகத்தின்மேல் முக்காடு போட்டுக்கொண்டதுபோல நாங்கள் போடுகிறதில்லை.

And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:

அவர்களுடைய மனது கடினப்பட்டது; இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் பழைய ஏற்பாடு வாசிக்கப்படுகையில், அந்த முக்காடு நீங்காமலிருக்கிறது; அது கிறிஸ்துவினாலே நீக்கப்படுகிறது.

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.

But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.

கர்த்தரே ஆவியானவர்; கர்த்தருடைய ஆவி எங்கேயோ அங்கே விடுதலையுமுண்டு.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

நாமெல்லாரும் திறந்த முகமாய்க் கர்த்தருடைய மகிமையைக் கண்ணாடியிலே காண்கிறதுபோலக் கண்டு, ஆவியாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தரால் அந்தச் சாயலாகத்தானே மகிமையின்மேல் மகிமையடைந்து மறுரூபப்படுகிறோம்.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 4

இப்படிப்பட்ட ஊழியத்தை உடையவர்களாகிய நாங்கள் இரக்கம்பெற்றிருப்பதால் சோர்ந்து போகிறதில்லை.

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

வெட்கமான அந்தரங்க காரியங்களை நாங்கள் வெறுத்து, தந்திரமாய் நடவாமலும், தேவ வசனத்தைப் புரட்டாமலும், சத்தியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துகிறதினாலே தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக எல்லா மனுஷருடைய மனச்சாட்சிக்கும் எங்களை உத்தமரென்று விளங்கப்பண்ணுகிறோம்.

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

எங்கள் சுவிசேஷம் மறைபொருளாயிருந்தால், கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்கே அது மறைபொருளாயிருக்கும்.

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

தேவனுடைய சாயலாயிருக்கிற கிறிஸ்துவின் மகிமையான சுவிசேஷத்தின் ஒளி, அவிசுவாசிகளாகிய அவர்களுக்குப் பிரகாசமாயிராதபடிக்கு, இப்பிரபஞ்சத்தின் தேவனானவன் அவர்களுடைய மனதைக் குருடாக்கினான்.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

நாங்கள் எங்களையே பிரசங்கியாமல், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைக் கர்த்தரென்றும், எங்களையோ இயேசுவினிமித்தம் உங்கள் ஊழியக்காரரென்றும் பிரசங்கிக்கிறோம்.

For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

இருளிலிருந்து வெளிச்சத்தைப் பிரகாசிக்கச்சொன்ன தேவன் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் முகத்திலுள்ள தமது மகிமையின் அறிவாகிய ஒளியைத் தோன்றப்பண்ணும்பொருட்டாக, எங்கள் இருதயங்களிலே பிரகாசித்தார்.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

இந்த மகத்துவமுள்ள வல்லமை எங்களால் உண்டாயிராமல், தேவனால் உண்டாகியிருக்கிறதென்று விளங்கும்படி, இந்தப் பொக்கிஷத்தை மண்பாண்டங்களில் பெற்றிருக்கிறோம்.

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

நாங்கள் எப்பக்கத்திலும் நெருக்கப்பட்டும் ஒடுங்கிப்போகிறதில்லை; கலக்கமடைந்தும் மனமுறிவடைகிறதில்லை;

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

துன்பப்படுத்தப்பட்டும் கைவிடப்படுகிறதில்லை; கீழே தள்ளப்பட்டும் மடிந்துபோகிறதில்லை.

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவினுடைய ஜீவனும் எங்கள் சரீரத்திலே விளங்கும்படிக்கு, இயேசுவின் மரணத்தை எப்பொழுதும் எங்கள் சரீரத்தில் சுமந்து திரிகிறோம்.

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

எப்படியெனில், சாவுக்கினமான எங்கள் மாம்சத்திலே இயேசுவினுடைய ஜீவனும் விளங்கும்படிக்கு உயிரோடிருக்கிற நாங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் இயேசுவினிமித்தம் மரணத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுகிறோம்.

For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

இப்படி மரணமானது எங்களிடத்திலும், ஜீவனானது உங்களிடத்திலும் பெலன் செய்கிறது.

So then death worketh in us, but life in you.

விசுவாசித்தேன், ஆகையால் பேசினேன் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, நாங்களும் அந்த விசுவாசத்தின் ஆவியை உடையவர்களாயிருந்து, விசுவாசிக்கிறபடியால் பேசுகிறோம்.

We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

தேவனுடைய மகிமை விளங்குவதற்கேதுவாகக் கிருபையானது அநேகருடைய ஸ்தோத்திரத்தினாலே பெருகும்படிக்கு, இவையெல்லாம் உங்கள்நிமித்தம் உண்டாகியிருக்கிறது.

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

ஆனபடியினாலே நாங்கள் சோர்ந்துபோகிறதில்லை; எங்கள் புறம்பான மனுஷனானது அழிந்தும், உள்ளான மனுஷனானது நாளுக்குநாள் புதிதாக்கப்படுகிறது.

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
