எரேமியா அத்தியாயம் 51

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, நான் பாபிலோனுக்கு விரோதமாகவும், எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்களின் மத்தியில் குடியிருந்தவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகவும் அழிக்கும் காற்றை எழும்பப்பண்ணி,

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will raise up against Babylon, and against them that dwell in the midst of them that rise up against me, a destroying wind;

தூற்றுவாரைப் பாபிலோனுக்கு அனுப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் அதைத்தூற்றி, வெறுமையாக்கிப்போடுவார்கள்; ஆபத்து நாளிலே அதற்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சூழ்ந்து கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

And will send unto Babylon fanners, that shall fan her, and shall empty her land: for in the day of trouble they shall be against her round about.

வில்லை நாணேற்றுகிறவனுக்கு விரோதமாகவும், தன் கவசத்தில் பெருமைபாராட்டுகிறவனுக்கு விரோதமாகவும், வில்வீரன் தன் வில்லை நாணேற்றக்கடவன்; அதின் வாலிபரைத் தப்பவிடாமல் அதின் சேனையை எல்லாம் சங்காரம்பண்ணுங்கள்.

Against him that bendeth let the archer bend his bow, and against him that lifteth himself up in his brigandine: and spare ye not her young men; destroy ye utterly all her host.

குத்திப்போடப்பட்டவர்கள் கல்தேயரின் தேசத்திலும், கொலை செய்யப்பட்டவர்கள் அதின் வீதிகளிலும் விழுவார்கள்.

Thus the slain shall fall in the land of the Chaldeans, and they that are thrust through in her streets.

அவர்கள் தேசம் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தருக்கு விரோதமாகச் செய்த அக்கிரமத்தினால் நிறைந்திருந்தும் யூதா தன் தேவனாலும் இஸ்ரவேல் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தராலும் கைவிடப்படவில்லை.

For Israel hath not been forsaken, nor Judah of his God, of the LORD of hosts; though their land was filled with sin against the Holy One of Israel.

நீங்கள் பாபிலோனின் அக்கிரமத்தில் சங்காரமாகாதபடிக்கு அதின் நடுவிலிருந்து ஓடி, அவரவர் தங்கள் ஆத்துமாவைத் தப்பிவியுங்கள்; இது கர்த்தர் அதினிடத்தில் பழிவாங்குகிற காலமாயிருக்கிறது; அவர் அதற்குப் பதில் செலுத்துவார்.

Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

பாபிலோன் கர்த்தருடைய கையிலுள்ள பொற்பாத்திரம்; அது பூமி அனைத்தையும் வெறிக்கப்பண்ணினது; அதின் மதுவை ஜாதிகள் குடித்தார்கள்; ஆகையால் ஜாதிகள் புத்திமயங்கிப்போனார்கள்.

Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

பாபிலோன் சடிதியில் விழுந்து தகர்ந்தது; அதற்காக அலறுங்கள்; அதின் நோவை ஆற்றப் பிசின் தைலம் போடுங்கள்; ஒருவேளை குணமாகும்.

Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.

பாபிலோனைக் குணமாக்கும்படிப் பார்த்தோம், அது குணமாகவில்லை; அதை விட்டுவிடுங்கள்; நாம் அவரவர் நம்முடைய தேசங்களுக்குப் போகக்கடவோம்; அதின் ஆக்கினை வானமட்டும் ஏறி ஆகாய மண்டலங்கள் பரியந்தம் எட்டினது.

We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.

கர்த்தர் நம்முடைய நீதியை வெளிப்படுத்தினார்; நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் செயலைச் சீயோனில் விவரிப்போம் வாருங்கள்.

The LORD hath brought forth our righteousness: come, and let us declare in Zion the work of the LORD our God.

அம்புகளைத் துலக்குங்கள்; கேடகங்களை நன்றாய்ச் செப்பனிடுங்கள்; கர்த்தர் மேதியருடைய ராஜாக்களின் ஆவியை எழுப்பினார்; பாபிலோனை அழிக்கவேண்டுமென்பதே அவருடைய நினைவு; இது கர்த்தர் வாங்கும் பழி, இது தமது ஆலயத்துக்காக அவர் வாங்கும் பழி.

Make bright the arrows; gather the shields: the LORD hath raised up the spirit of the kings of the Medes: for his device is against Babylon, to destroy it; because it is the vengeance of the LORD, the vengeance of his temple.

பாபிலோனின் மதில்கள்மேல் கொடியேற்றுங்கள், காவலைப் பலப்படுத்துங்கள், ஜாமங் காக்கிறவர்களை நிறுத்துங்கள், பதிவிருப்பாரை வையுங்கள்; ஆனாலும் கர்த்தர் எப்படி நினைத்தாரோ அப்படியே தாம் பாபிலோனின் குடிகளுக்கு விரோதமாகச் சொன்னதைச் செய்வார்.

Set up the standard upon the walls of Babylon, make the watch strong, set up the watchmen, prepare the ambushes: for the LORD hath both devised and done that which he spake against the inhabitants of Babylon.

திரளான தண்ணீர்களின்மேல் வாசம்பண்ணுகிறவளே, திரண்ட சம்பத்துடையவளே, உனக்கு முடிவும் உன் பொருளாசைக்கு ஒழிவும் வந்தது.

O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness.

மெய்யாகவே, பச்சைக்கிளிகளைப்போல் திரளான மனுஷரால் உன்னை நிரம்பப்பண்ணுவேன்; அவர்கள் உன்மேல் ஆரவாரம்பண்ணுவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிட்டார்.

The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.

அவர் பூமியைத் தமது வல்லமையினால் உண்டாக்கி, பூச்சக்கரத்தைத் தமது ஞானத்தினால் படைத்து, வானத்தைத் தமது பேரறிவினால் விரித்தார்.

He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his understanding.

அவர் சத்தமிடுகையில் திரளான தண்ணீர் வானத்தில் உண்டாகிறது; அவர் பூமியின் எல்லைகளிலிருந்து மேகங்களை எழும்பப்பண்ணி, மழையுடனே மின்னல்களை உண்டாக்கி, காற்றைத் தமது பண்டசாலையிலிருந்து ஏவிவிடுகிறார்.

When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.

மனுஷர் அனைவரும் அறிவில்லாமல் மிருக குணமானார்கள்; தட்டார் அனைவரும் சுரூபங்களாலே வெட்கிப்போகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் வார்ப்பித்த விக்கிரகம் பொய்யே, அவைகளில் சுவாசம் இல்லை.

Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is falsehood, and there is no breath in them.

அவைகள் மாயையும் மகா எத்துமான கிரியையாயிருக்கிறது; அவைகள் விசாரிக்கப்படும் நாளிலே அழியும்.

They are vanity, the work of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish.

யாக்கோபின் பங்காயிருக்கிறவர் அவைகளைப்போல அல்ல, அவர் சர்வத்தையும் உண்டாக்கினவர்; இஸ்ரவேல் அவருடைய சுதந்தரமான கோத்திரம்; சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்பது அவருடைய நாமம்.

The portion of Jacob is not like them; for he is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: the LORD of hosts is his name.

நீ எனக்கு தண்டாயுதம் அஸ்திராயுதமுமானவன்; நான் உன்னைக்கொண்டு ஜாதிகளை நொறுக்குவேன்; உன்னைக்கொண்டு ராஜ்யங்களை அழிப்பேன்.

Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;

உன்னைக்கொண்டு குதிரையையும், குதிரை வீரனையும் நொறுக்குவேன்; உன்னைக்கொண்டு இரதத்தையும் இரதவீரனையும் நொறுக்குவேன்.

And with thee will I break in pieces the horse and his rider; and with thee will I break in pieces the chariot and his rider;

உன்னைக்கொண்டு புருஷனையும் ஸ்திரீயையும் நொறுக்குவேன்; உன்னைக்கொண்டு கிழவனையும் இளைஞனையும் நொறுக்குவேன்; உன்னைக்கொண்டு வாலிபனையும் கன்னிகையையும் நொறுக்குவேன்.

With thee also will I break in pieces man and woman; and with thee will I break in pieces old and young; and with thee will I break in pieces the young man and the maid;

உன்னைக்கொண்டு மேய்ப்பனையும் அவனுடைய மந்தையையும் நொறுக்குவேன்; உன்னைக்கொண்டு உழவனையும் அவனுடைய உழவுகாளைகளையும் நொறுக்குவேன்; உன்னைக்கொண்டு அதிபதிகளையும் அதிகாரிகளையும் நொறுக்குவேன்.

I will also break in pieces with thee the shepherd and his flock; and with thee will I break in pieces the husbandman and his yoke of oxen; and with thee will I break in pieces captains and rulers.

பாபிலோனுக்கும் கல்தேயர் தேசத்தின் சகல குடிகளுக்கும், அவர்கள் உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகச் சீயோனில் செய்த அவர்களுடைய எல்லாப் பொல்லாப்புக்காகவும் பழிவாங்குவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And I will render unto Babylon and to all the inhabitants of Chaldea all their evil that they have done in Zion in your sight, saith the LORD.

இதோ, பூமியை எல்லாம் கெடுக்கிற கேடான பர்வதமே, நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாக வந்து, என் கையை உனக்கு விரோதமாக நீட்டி, உன்னைக் கன்மலைகளிலிருந்து உருட்டி, உன்னை எரிந்துபோன பர்வதமாக்கிப்போடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Behold, I am against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.

மூலைக்கல்லுக்காகிலும் அஸ்திபாரக்கல்லுக்காகிலும் ஒரு கல்லையும் உன்னிலிருந்து எடுக்கமாட்டார்கள்; நீ என்றென்றைக்கும் பாழாய்க்கிடக்கிற ஸ்தலமாவாய் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD.

தேசத்திலே கொடியேற்றுங்கள்; ஜாதிகளுக்குள் எக்காளம் ஊதுங்கள்; ஜாதிகளை அதற்கு விரோதமாக ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்; ஆரராத், மின்னி, அஸ்கெனாஸ் என்னும் ராஜ்யங்களை அதற்கு விரோதமாக வரக்கூப்பிடுங்கள்; அதற்கு விரோதமாகத் தளகர்த்தனுக்குப் பட்டங்கட்டுங்கள்; சுணையுள்ள வெட்டுக்கிளிகள்போன்ற குதிரைகளை வரப்பண்ணுங்கள்.

Set ye up a standard in the land, blow the trumpet among the nations, prepare the nations against her, call together against her the kingdoms of Ararat, Minni, and Ashchenaz; appoint a captain against her; cause the horses to come up as the rough caterpillers.

மேதியாதேசத்தின் ராஜாக்களும் அதின் தலைவரும் அதின் சகல அதிகாரிகளும் அவரவருடைய ராஜ்யபாரத்துக்குக் கீழான சகல தேசத்தாருமாகிய ஜாதிகளை அதற்கு விரோதமாக ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.

Prepare against her the nations with the kings of the Medes, the captains thereof, and all the rulers thereof, and all the land of his dominion.

அப்பொழுது தேசம் அதிர்ந்து வேதனைப்படும்; பாபிலோன் தேசத்தைக் குடியில்லாதபடிப் பாழாக்க, பாபிலோனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கர்த்தர் நினைத்தவைகள் நிலைக்கும்.

And the land shall tremble and sorrow: for every purpose of the LORD shall be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.

பாபிலோன் பராக்கிரம்சாலிகள் யுத்தம்பண்ணாமல், கோட்டைகளில் இருந்துவிட்டார்கள்; அவர்கள் பராக்கிரமம் அழிந்து பேடிகளானார்கள்; அதின் வாசஸ்தலங்களைக் கொளுத்திப்போட்டார்கள்; அதின் தாழ்ப்பாள்கள் உடைக்கப்பட்டது.

The mighty men of Babylon have forborn to fight, they have remained in their holds: their might hath failed; they became as women: they have burned her dwellingplaces; her bars are broken.

கடையாந்தர முனைதுவக்கி அவனுடைய பட்டணம் பிடிபட்டது என்றும், துறைவழிகள் அகப்பட்டுப்போய், நாணல்கள் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரிக்கப்பட்டது என்றும், யுத்தமனுஷர் கலங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள் என்றும் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவுக்கு அறிவிக்க,

One post shall run to meet another, and one messenger to meet another, to shew the king of Babylon that his city is taken at one end,

அஞ்சற்காரன்மேல் அஞ்சற்காரனும் தூதன்மேல் தூதனும் ஓடுகிறான்.

And that the passages are stopped, and the reeds they have burned with fire, and the men of war are affrighted.

பாபிலோன் குமாரத்தி மிதிக்கப்படுங் களத்துக்குச் சமானம்; அதைப் போரடிக்குங் காலம்வந்தது; இன்னும் கொஞ்சக்காலத்திலே அறுப்புக்காலம் அதற்கு வரும் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; The daughter of Babylon is like a threshingfloor, it is time to thresh her: yet a little while, and the time of her harvest shall come.

பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னைப் பட்சித்தான், என்னைக் கலங்கடித்தான், என்னை வெறும் பாத்திரமாக வைத்துப்போனான்; வலுசர்ப்பம்போல என்னை விழுங்கி, என் சுவையுள்ள பதார்த்தங்களால் தன் வயிற்றை நிரப்பினான், என்னைத் துரத்திவிட்டான்.

Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.

எனக்கும் என் இனத்தாருக்கும் செய்த கொடுமையின் பழி பாபிலோன்மேல் வரக்கடவதென்று சீயோனில் வாசமானவள் சொல்லுகிறாள்; என் இரத்தப்பழி கல்தேயர் தேசத்துக் குடிகளின்மேல் வரக்கடவதென்று எருசலேம் என்பவளும் சொல்லுகிறாள்.

The violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon, shall the inhabitant of Zion say; and my blood upon the inhabitants of Chaldea, shall Jerusalem say.

ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, நான் உனக்காக வழக்காடி, உன் பழிக்குப் பழிவாங்கி, அதின் கடலை வறளவும் அதின் ஊற்றைச் சுவறவும்பண்ணுவேன்.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.

அப்பொழுது பாபிலோன் குடியில்லாத மண்மேடுகளும், வலுசர்ப்பங்களின் தாபரமும், பாழும், ஈசல் போடப்படுதலுக்கு இடமுமாய்ப்போகும்.

And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwellingplace for dragons, an astonishment, and an hissing, without an inhabitant.

ஏகமாய் அவர்கள் சிங்கங்களைப் போலக் கெர்ச்சித்து, சிங்கக்குட்டிகளைப்போலச் சத்தமிடுவார்கள்.

They shall roar together like lions: they shall yell as lions' whelps.

அவர்கள் களிக்கும் சமயத்திலே நான்அவர்கள் குடிக்கும் பானத்தை அவர்களுக்குக் குடிக்கக்கொடுத்து, அவர்கள் துள்ளத்தக்கதாக அவர்களை வெறியாக்குவேன்; அதினால் அவர்கள் என்றென்றைக்கும் விழிக்காத நித்திரை அடைவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the LORD.

அவர்களை ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப்போலவும், ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களைப்போலவும், வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்களைப்போலவும் அடிக்கப்பட இறங்கிப்போகப்பண்ணுவேன்.

I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he goats.

சேசாக்கு பிடியுண்டு, பூமிமுழுதும் புகழும் புகழ்ச்சி அகப்பட்டது எப்படி? ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே பாபிலோன் பிரமிப்பானது எப்படி?

How is Sheshach taken! and how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! how is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!

சமுத்திரம் பாபிலோன்மேல் புரண்டுவந்தது; அதின் அலைகளின் திரட்சியினால் அது மூடப்பட்டது.

The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof.

அதின் பட்டணங்கள் பாழுமாய், வறட்சியும் வனாந்தரமுமான பூமியுமாய், ஒரு மனுஷனும் குடியிராததும் ஒரு மனுபுத்திரனும் கடவாததுமான நிலமுமாய்ப்போயிற்று.

Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land wherein no man dwelleth, neither doth any son of man pass thereby.

நான் பாபிலோனில் இருக்கிற பேலைத் தண்டிப்பேன்; அது விழுங்கினதை அதின் வாயிலிருந்து கக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்; ஜாதிகள் இனி அதினிடத்திற்கு ஓடிவரமாட்டார்கள், பாபிலோனின் மதிலும் விழும்.

And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

என் ஜனங்களே, நீங்கள் அதின் நடுவிலிருந்து புறப்படுங்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய கோபத்தின் உக்கிரத்துக்குத் தப்பும்படி அவனவன் தன்தன் ஆத்துமாவை இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளக்கடவன்.

My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.

உங்கள் இருதயம் துவளாமலும், தேசத்தில் கேட்கப்படும் செய்தியினால் நீங்கள் பயப்படாமலும் இருங்கள்; ஒரு வருஷத்திலே ஒரு செய்தி கேட்கப்பட்டு, பின்பு மறுவருஷத்திலே வேறு செய்தி கேட்கப்படும்; தேசத்திலே கொடுமை உண்டாகும்; ஆளுகிறவன்மேல் ஆளுகிறவன் வருவான்.

And lest your heart faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land; a rumour shall both come one year, and after that in another year shall come a rumour, and violence in the land, ruler against ruler.

ஆகையால், இதோ, நான் பாபிலோனின் விக்கிரகங்களை தண்டிக்கும் நாட்கள் வரும், அப்பொழுது அதின் தேசம் எல்லாம் கலங்கும்; அதில் கொலையுண்கிற யாவரும் அதின் நடுவில் விழுந்துகிடப்பார்கள்.

Therefore, behold, the days come, that I will do judgment upon the graven images of Babylon: and her whole land shall be confounded, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

வானமும் பூமியும் அவைகளிலுள்ள யாவும் பாபிலோன்மேல் கெம்பீரிக்கும்; பாழ்க்கடிக்கிறவர்கள் அதற்கு வடக்கேயிருந்து வருவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall sing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the north, saith the LORD.

பாபிலோன் இஸ்ரவேலில் கொலையுண்டவர்களை விழப்பண்ணினதுபோல, பாபிலோனிலும் சமஸ்த தேசங்களிலும் கொலையுண்கிறவர்கள் விழுவார்கள்.

As Babylon hath caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the earth.

பட்டயத்துக்குத் தப்பினவர்களே, தங்கித்தரியாமல் நடந்துவாருங்கள்; தூரத்திலே கர்த்தரை நினையுங்கள்; எருசலேம் உங்கள் ஞாபகத்தில் வரக்கடவது.

Ye that have escaped the sword, go away, stand not still: remember the LORD afar off, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

நிந்தையைக் கேட்டதினால் வெட்கப்பட்டோம்; கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலங்களின்மேல் அந்நியர் வந்ததினால் நாணம் நம்முடைய முகங்களை மூடிற்று.

We are confounded, because we have heard reproach: shame hath covered our faces: for strangers are come into the sanctuaries of the LORD'S house.

ஆகையால், கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, நான் அதின் விக்கிரகங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் விசாரிக்கும் நாட்கள் வரும்; அப்பொழுது அதின் தேசமெங்கும் கொலையுண்கிறவர்கள் கத்துவார்கள்.

Wherefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will do judgment upon her graven images: and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

பாபிலோன் வானபரியந்தம் ஏறினாலும், அது தன் பலமான அரணை உயர்த்தினாலும், அதைப் பாழாக்குகிறவர்கள் என்னிடத்திலிருந்து வருவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall spoilers come unto her, saith the LORD.

பாபிலோனிலிருந்து கூக்குரலின் சத்தமும், கல்தேயர் தேசத்திலிருந்து மகா சங்காரமும் கேட்கப்படும்.

A sound of a cry cometh from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans:

கர்த்தர் பாபிலோனைப் பாழாக்கி அதிலுள்ள பெரிய சத்தத்தை ஒழியப்பண்ணுவார்; அவர்களுடைய அலைகள் திரளான தண்ணீர்களைப்போல இரையும், அவர்களுடைய சத்தம் அமளியாயிருக்கும்.

Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:

பாபிலோனைப் பாழாக்குகிறவன் அதின்மேல் வருகிறான்; அதின் பராக்கிரமசாலிகள் பிடிபடுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய வில்லுகள் முறிந்துபோகும்; சரிக்கட்டுகிற தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நிச்சயமாகப் பதில் அளிப்பார்.

Because the spoiler is come upon her, even upon Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: for the LORD God of recompences shall surely requite.

அதின் பிரபுக்களையும், அதின் ஞானிகளையும், அதின் தலைவரையும், அதின் அதிகாரிகளையும், அதின் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளையும் வெறிக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என்றென்றைக்கும் விழிக்காத தூக்கமாய்த் தூங்கிவிழுவார்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னும் நாமமுள்ள ராஜா சொல்லுகிறார்.

And I will make drunk her princes, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake, saith the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.

பாபிலோனின் விஸ்தீரணமான மதில்கள் முற்றிலும் தரையாக்கப்பட்டு, அதின் உயரமான வாசல்கள் அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும்; அப்படியே ஜனங்கள் பிரயாசப்பட்டது விருதாவும், ஜாதிகள் வருத்தப்பட்டுச் சம்பாதித்தது அக்கினிக்கு இரையுமாகுமென்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labour in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary.

பாபிலோன்மேல் வரும் எல்லாத் தீங்கையும், பாபிலோனுக்கு விரோதமாக எழுதப்பட்ட இந்த எல்லா வசனங்களையும் எரேமியா ஒரு புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதினான்.

The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah into Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. And this Seraiah was a quiet prince.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியா ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணும் நாலாம் வருஷத்திலே பாபிலோனுக்குப் போன சமயத்தில் அவனோடே கூடப்போன மசெயாவின் மகனாகிய நேரியாவின் குமாரனும் சாந்தகுணமுள்ள பிரபுவுமாகிய செராயாவுக்கு எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி கற்பித்த வார்த்தை.

So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon.

எரேமியா செராயாவை நோக்கி: நீ பாபிலோனுக்கு வந்தபின்பு நீ இதைப் பார்த்து, இந்த எல்லா வசனங்களையும் வாசித்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்:

And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words;

கர்த்தாவே, இந்த ஸ்தலத்திலே மனுஷனும் மிருகமுமுதலாய்த் தங்கித் தரிக்காதபடிக்கும், அது என்றென்றைக்கும் பாழாய்க் கிடக்கும்படிக்கும், அதை அழித்துப்போடுவேன் என்று தேவரீர் அதைக்குறித்து உரைத்தீர் என்பதை நீ சொல்லி,

Then shalt thou say, O LORD, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever.

நீ இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தை வாசித்துத் தீர்ந்தபோது, அதிலே ஒரு கல்லைக் கட்டி, அதை ஐப்பிராத்து நடுவில் எறிந்துவிட்டு,

And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:

இப்படியே பாபிலோன் முழுகிப்போகும், நான் அதின்மேல் வரப்பண்ணும் தீங்கினால் எழுந்திருக்கமாட்டாமல் இளைத்து விழுவார்கள் என்றார் என்று சொல்லுவாயாக என்றான். எரேமியாவின் வசனங்கள் இவ்வளவோடே முடிந்தது.

And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

2கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 1

தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தினாலே இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பவுலும், சகோதரனாகிய தீமோத்தேயும், கொரிந்துபட்டணத்திலுள்ள தேவனுடைய சபைக்கும், அகாயா நாடெங்குமுள்ள எல்லாப் பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது:

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints which are in all Achaia:

நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

நமது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் பிதாவாகிய தேவனும், இரக்கங்களின் பிதாவும், சகலவிதமான ஆறுதலின் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

தேவனால் எங்களுக்கு அருளப்படுகிற ஆறுதலினாலே, எந்த உபத்திரவத்திலாகிலும் அகப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கு நாங்கள் ஆறுதல்செய்யத் திராணியுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி, எங்களுக்கு வரும் சகல உபத்திரவங்களிலேயும் அவரே எங்களுக்கு ஆறுதல்செய்கிறவர்.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

எப்படியெனில், கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய பாடுகள் எங்களிடத்தில் பெருகுகிறதுபோல, கிறிஸ்துவினாலே எங்களுக்கு ஆறுதலும் பெருகுகிறது.

For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

ஆதலால், நாங்கள் உபத்திரவப்பட்டாலும் அது உங்கள் ஆறுதலுக்கும் இரட்சிப்புக்கும் ஏதுவாகும்; நாங்கள் ஆறுதலடைந்தாலும் அதுவும் உங்கள் ஆறுதலுக்கும் இரட்சிப்புக்கும் ஏதுவாகும்; நாங்கள் பாடுபடுகிறதுபோல நீங்களும் பாடுபட்டுச் சகிக்கிறதினாலே அந்த இரட்சிப்பு பலன்செய்கிறது.

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

நீங்கள் எங்களோடேகூடப் பாடுபடுகிறதுபோல, எங்களோடேகூட ஆறுதலும் அடைகிறீர்களென்று நாங்கள் அறிந்து, உங்களைக்குறித்து உறுதியான நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கிறோம்.

And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

ஆகையால் சகோதரரே, ஆசியாவில் எங்களுக்கு நேரிட்ட உபத்திரவத்தை நீங்கள் அறியாதிருக்க எங்களுக்கு மனதில்லை. என்னவெனில், பிழைப்போம் என்கிற நம்பிக்கை அற்றுப்போகத்தக்கதாக, எங்கள் பலத்திற்கு மிஞ்சின அதிக பாரமான வருத்தம் எங்களுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று.

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

நாங்கள் எங்கள்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிராமல், மரித்தோரை எழுப்புகிற தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கத்தக்கதாக, மரணம் வருமென்று நாங்கள் எங்களுக்குள்ளே நிச்சயித்திருந்தோம்.

But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

அப்படிப்பட்ட மரணத்தினின்றும் அவர் எங்களைத் தப்புவித்தார், இப்பொழுதும் தப்புவிக்கிறார், இன்னும் தப்புவிப்பார் என்று அவரை நம்பியிருக்கிறோம்.

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

அநேகர்மூலமாய் எங்களுக்கு உண்டான தயவுக்காக அநேகரால் எங்கள் நிமித்தம் ஸ்தோத்திரங்கள் செலுத்தப்படும்பொருட்டு, நீங்களும் விண்ணப்பத்தினால் எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யுங்கள்.

Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

மாம்சத்திற்கேற்ற ஞானத்தோடே நடவாமல், தேவனுடைய கிருபையினால் நாங்கள் உலகத்திலேயும், விசேஷமாக உங்களிடத்திலேயும், கபடமில்லாமல் திவ்விய உண்மையோடே நடந்தோமென்று, எங்கள் மனது எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுஞ்சாட்சியே எங்கள் புகழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிறது.

For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.

ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் வாசித்தும் ஒத்துக்கொண்டுமிருக்கிற காரியங்களையேயன்றி, வேறொன்றையும் நாங்கள் உங்களுக்கு எழுதவில்லை; முடிவுபரியந்தமும் அப்படியே ஒத்துக்கொள்வீர்களென்று நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

For we write none other things unto you, than what ye read or acknowledge; and I trust ye shall acknowledge even to the end;

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவினுடைய நாளிலே நீங்கள் எங்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாயிருப்பதுபோல, நாங்களும் உங்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிறதை ஒருவாறு ஒத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்களே.

As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are ours in the day of the Lord Jesus.

நான் இப்படிப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கையைக் கொண்டிருக்கிறபடியினால், உங்களுக்கு இரண்டாந்தரமும் பிரயோஜனமுண்டாகும்படி, முதலாவது உங்களிடத்தில் வரவும்,

And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit;

பின்பு உங்கள் ஊர்வழியாய் மக்கெதோனியா நாட்டுக்குப் போகவும், மக்கெதோனியாவை விட்டு மறுபடியும் உங்களிடத்திற்கு வரவும், உங்களால் யூதேயா தேசத்துக்கு வழிவிட்டனுப்பப்படவும் யோசனையாயிருந்தேன்.

And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea.

இப்படி நான் யோசித்தது வீணாக யோசித்தேனோ? அல்லது ஆம் ஆம் என்கிறதும், அல்ல அல்ல என்கிறதும், என்னிடத்திலே இருக்கத்தக்கதாக, நான் யோசிக்கிறவைகளை மாம்சத்தின்படி யோசிக்கிறேனோ?

When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay?

நாங்கள் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன வார்த்தை ஆம் அல்ல என்று இருக்கவில்லை; அதற்கு உண்மையுள்ள தேவனே சாட்சி.

But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay.

என்னாலும், சில்வானுவினாலும், தீமோத்தேயுவினாலும், உங்களுக்குள்ளே பிரசங்கிக்கப்பட்ட தேவகுமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவும் ஆம் என்றும் அல்ல என்றும் இராமல், ஆம் என்றே இருக்கிறார்.

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea.

எங்களால் தேவனுக்கு மகிமையுண்டாகும்படி, தேவனுடைய வாக்குத்தத்தங்களெல்லாம் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் ஆம் என்றும், அவருக்குள் ஆமென் என்றும் இருக்கிறதே.

For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

உங்களோடேகூட எங்களையும் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் ஸ்திரப்படுத்தி, நம்மை அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவர் தேவனே.

Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;

அவர் நம்மை முத்திரித்து, நம்முடைய இருதயங்களில் ஆவியென்னும் அச்சாரத்தையும் கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.

Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

மேலும் நான் உங்களைத் தப்பவிடும்படிக்கே இதுவரைக்கும் கொரிந்துபட்டணத்திற்கு வராதிருக்கிறேனென்று, என் ஆத்துமாவின்பேரில் தேவனையே சாட்சியாகக் கோருகிறேன்.

Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.

உங்கள் விசுவாசத்திற்கு நாங்கள் அதிகாரிகளாயிராமல், உங்கள் சந்தோஷத்திற்குச் சகாயராயிருக்கிறோம்; விசுவாசத்தினாலே நிலைநிற்கிறீர்களே.

Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.

But I determined this with myself, that I would not come again to you in heaviness.

நான் உங்களைத் துக்கப்படுத்தினால், என்னாலே துக்கமடைந்தவனேயல்லாமல், எவன் என்னைச் சந்தோஷப்படுத்துவான்?

For if I make you sorry, who is he then that maketh me glad, but the same which is made sorry by me?

என்னுடைய சந்தோஷம் உங்களெல்லாருக்கும் சந்தோஷமாயிருக்குமென்று, நான் உங்களெல்லாரையும்பற்றி நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவனாயிருந்து, நான் வரும்போது, என்னைச் சந்தோஷப்படுத்தவேண்டியவர்களால் நான் துக்கமடையாதபடிக்கு, அதை உங்களுக்கு எழுதினேன்.

And I wrote this same unto you, lest, when I came, I should have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy is the joy of you all.

For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote unto you with many tears; not that ye should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you.

துக்கமுண்டாக்கினவன் எனக்குமாத்திரமல்ல, ஒருவாறு உங்களெல்லாருக்கும் துக்கமுண்டாக்கினான்; நான் உங்கள் எல்லார்மேலும் அதிக பாரஞ்சுமத்தாதபடிக்கு இதைச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.

அப்படிப்பட்டவனுக்கு அநேகரால் உண்டான இந்தத் தண்டனையே போதும்.

Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many.

ஆதலால் அவன் அதிக துக்கத்தில் அமிழ்ந்துபோகாதபடிக்கு, நீங்கள் அவனுக்கு மன்னித்து ஆறுதல் செய்யவேண்டும்.

So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him.

For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things.

To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ;

சாத்தானாலே நாம் மோசம்போகாதபடிக்கு அப்படிச் செய்தேன்; அவனுடைய தந்திரங்கள் நமக்குத் தெரியாதவைகள் அல்லவே.

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,

I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.

கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் எப்பொழுதும் எங்களை வெற்றிசிறக்கப்பண்ணி, எல்லா இடங்களிலேயும் எங்களைக் கொண்டு அவரை அறிகிற அறிவின் வாசனையை வெளிப்படுத்துகிற தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறவர்களுக்குள்ளேயும், கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்குள்ளேயும், நாங்கள் தேவனுக்குக் கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்கந்தமாயிருக்கிறோம்.

For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்குள்ளே மரணத்திற்கேதுவான மரணவாசனையாகவும், இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறவர்களுக்குள்ளே ஜீவனுக்கேதுவான ஜீவவாசனையாகவும் இருக்கிறோம். இவைகளை நடப்பிக்கிறதற்கு எவன் தகுதியானவன்?

To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?

அநேகரைப்போல, நாங்கள் தேவவசனத்தைக் கலப்பாய்ப் பேசாமல், துப்புரவாகவும், தேவனால் அருளப்பட்டபிரகாரமாகவும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் தேவசந்நிதியில் பேசுகிறோம்.

For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
