எரேமியா அத்தியாயம் 42

அப்பொழுது எல்லா இராணுவச்சேர்வைக்காரரும், கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானும், ஓசாயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யெசனியாவும், சிறியோர்முதல் பெரியோர்மட்டுமான சகல ஜனங்களும் சேர்ந்துவந்து,

Then all the captains of the forces, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and Jezaniah the son of Hoshaiah, and all the people from the least even unto the greatest, came near,

தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எரேமியாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நாங்கள் நடக்கவேண்டிய வழியையும், செய்யவேண்டிய காரியத்தையும் எங்களுக்குத் தெரியப்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, நீர் எங்கள் விண்ணப்பத்துக்கு இடங்கொடுத்து, மீதியாயிருக்கிற இந்தச் சகல ஜனங்களாகிய எங்களுக்காக உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணும்.

And said unto Jeremiah the prophet, Let, we beseech thee, our supplication be accepted before thee, and pray for us unto the LORD thy God, even for all this remnant; (for we are left but a few of many, as thine eyes do behold us:)

உம்முடைய கண்கள் எங்களைக்காண்கிறபடியே திரளான ஜனங்களில் கொஞ்சப்பேரே மீந்திருக்கிறோம் என்றார்கள்.

That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.

அப்பொழுது எரேமியா தீர்க்கதரிசி அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் சொன்னதைக் கேட்டேன்; இதோ, உங்கள் வார்த்தையின்படியே உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கி ஜெபம்பண்ணுவேன்; கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்கு மறுஉத்தரவாகச் சொல்லும் எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒன்றையும் மறைக்காமல் அறிவிப்பேன் என்றான்.

Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will pray unto the LORD your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the LORD shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் எரேமியாவை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உம்மைக்கொண்டு எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பும் எல்லா வார்த்தைகளின்படியும் நாங்கள் செய்யாவிட்டால், கர்த்தர் நமக்கு நடுவே சத்தியமும் உண்மையுமான சாட்சியாயிருக்கக்கடவர்.

Then they said to Jeremiah, The LORD be a true and faithful witness between us, if we do not even according to all things for the which the LORD thy God shall send thee to us.

அது நன்மையானாலும் தீமையானாலும் சரி, எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்துக்கு நாங்கள் கீழ்ப்படிவதினால் எங்களுக்கு நன்மையுண்டாகும்படி நாங்கள் உம்மை அனுப்புகிற எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து நடப்போம் என்றார்கள்.

Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God.

பத்துநாள் சென்றபின்பு, கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டாயிற்று.

And it came to pass after ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah.

அப்பொழுது அவன், கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானையும், அவனோடிருந்த எல்லா இராணுவச் சேர்வைக்காரரையும், சிறியோர்முதல் பெரியோர்மட்டும் உண்டான சகல ஜனங்களையும் அழைத்து,

Then called he Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces which were with him, and all the people from the least even to the greatest,

அவர்களை நோக்கி: உங்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பஞ்செய்யும்படிக்கு நீங்கள் என்னை அனுப்பின இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால்,

And said unto them, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto whom ye sent me to present your supplication before him;

நீங்கள் இந்த தேசத்திலே தரித்திருந்தால், நான் உங்களைக் கட்டுவேன், உங்களை இடிக்கமாட்டேன்; உங்களை நாட்டுவேன், உங்களைப் பிடுங்கமாட்டேன்; நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்திருக்கிற தீங்குக்கு மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டேன்.

If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the evil that I have done unto you.

நீங்கள் பயப்படுகிற பாபிலோன் ராஜாவுக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டாம், அவனுக்குப் பயப்படாதிருப்பீர்களாக என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார், உங்களை இரட்சிக்கும்படிக்கும், உங்களை அவன் கைக்குத் தப்புவிக்கும்படிக்கும் நான் உங்களுடனே இருந்து,

Be not afraid of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are afraid; be not afraid of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand.

அவன் உங்களுக்கு இரங்குகிறதற்கும், உங்கள் சுயதேசத்துக்கு உங்களைத் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணுகிறதற்கும் உங்களுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்வேன்.

And I will shew mercies unto you, that he may have mercy upon you, and cause you to return to your own land.

நீங்கள் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடாமல், நாங்கள் இந்த தேசத்திலே இருக்கிறதில்லையென்றும்,

But if ye say, We will not dwell in this land, neither obey the voice of the LORD your God,

நாங்கள் யுத்தத்தைக் காணாததும், எக்காள சத்தத்தைக் கேளாததும், அப்பத்தாழ்ச்சியினால் பட்டினியாய் இராததுமான எகிப்து தேசத்துக்கே போய், அங்கே தரித்திருப்போம் என்றும் சொல்வீர்களேயாகில்,

Saying, No; but we will go into the land of Egypt, where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor have hunger of bread; and there will we dwell:

யூதாவில் மீந்திருக்கிறவர்களே, அதைக்குறித்து உண்டான கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்: நீங்கள் எகிப்துக்குப் போக உங்கள் முகங்களைத் திருப்பி, அங்கே தங்கப்போவீர்களானால்,

And now therefore hear the word of the LORD, ye remnant of Judah; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; If ye wholly set your faces to enter into Egypt, and go to sojourn there;

நீங்கள் பயப்படுகிற பட்டயம் எகிப்து தேசத்திலே உங்களைப் பிடிக்கும்; நீங்கள் ஐயப்படுகிற பஞ்சம் எகிப்திலே உங்களைத் தொடர்ந்துவரும், அங்கே சாவீர்கள்.

Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die.

எகிப்திலே தங்கவேண்டுமென்று அவ்விடத்துக்குத் தங்கள் முகங்களைத் திருப்பின எல்லா மனுஷருக்கும் என்ன சம்பவிக்குமென்றால், பட்டயத்தாலும், பஞ்சத்தாலும், கொள்ளைநோயாலும் சாவார்கள்; நான் அவர்கள்மேல் வரப்பண்ணும் தீங்கினாலே அவர்களில் மீதியாகிறவர்களும் தப்புகிறவர்களுமில்லை என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the evil that I will bring upon them.

என் கோபமும் என் உக்கிரமும் எருசலேமின் குடிகள்மேல் எப்படி மூண்டதோ, அப்படியே என் உக்கிரம் நீங்கள் எகிப்துக்குப் போகும்போது, உங்கள்மேல் மூளும்; நீங்கள் சாபமாகவும் பாழாகவும் பழிப்பாகவும் நிந்தையாகவும் இருந்து, இவ்விடத்தை இனிக் காணாதிருப்பீர்கள் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As mine anger and my fury hath been poured forth upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem; so shall my fury be poured forth upon you, when ye shall enter into Egypt: and ye shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach; and ye shall see this place no more.

யூதாவில் மீதியானவர்களே, எகிப்துக்குப் போகாதிருங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் உங்களைக்குறித்துச் சொன்னாரென்பதை இந்நாளில் உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக அறிவித்தேன் என்று அறியுங்கள்.

The LORD hath said concerning you, O ye remnant of Judah; Go ye not into Egypt: know certainly that I have admonished you this day.

உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் உங்களை மோசம்போக்கினீர்கள்; நீ எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: எங்களுக்காக விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி, எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்வதையெல்லாம் எங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கவேண்டும்; அதின்படியே செய்வோம் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லி, என்னை உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்துக்கு அனுப்பினீர்கள்.

For ye dissembled in your hearts, when ye sent me unto the LORD your God, saying, Pray for us unto the LORD our God; and according unto all that the LORD our God shall say, so declare unto us, and we will do it.

நான் இந்நாளில் அதை உங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தேன்; ஆனாலும், உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் சத்தத்துக்கும், அவர் என்னைக்கொண்டு உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பின எந்தக்காரியத்துக்கும் செவிகொடாமற்போனீர்கள்.

And now I have this day declared it to you; but ye have not obeyed the voice of the LORD your God, nor any thing for the which he hath sent me unto you.

இப்போதும் தங்கியிருப்பதற்கு நீங்கள் போக விரும்புகிற ஸ்தலத்தில்தானே பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும், கொள்ளைநோயாலும் சாவீர்களென்று நிச்சயமாய் அறியுங்கள் என்றான்.

Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.

எரேமியா அத்தியாயம் 43

எரேமியா சகல ஜனங்களுக்கும் அவர்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தன்னைக்கொண்டு அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லியனுப்பின எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் சொன்னான்; அவர்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய எல்லா வார்த்தைகளையும் அவன் அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லிமுடித்தபின்பு,

And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,

ஓசாயாவின் குமாரனாகிய அசரியாவும், கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானும், அகங்காரிகளான எல்லா மனுஷரும் எரேமியாவை நோக்கி: நீ பொய் சொல்லுகிறாய்; எகிப்திலே தங்கும்படிக்கு அங்கே போகாதிருங்கள் என்று சொல்ல, எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உன்னை எங்களிடத்துக்கு அனுப்பவில்லை.

Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:

கல்தேயர் எங்களைக் கொன்றுபோடவும், எங்களைப் பாபிலோனுக்குச் சிறைகளாகக் கொண்டுபோகவும், எங்களை அவர்கள் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்படி, நேரியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாருக்குத்தானே உன்னை எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக ஏவினான் என்றார்கள்.

But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.

அப்படியே யூதாவின் தேசத்திலே தரித்திருக்கவேண்டும் என்னும் கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குக் கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானும், சகல இராணுவச் சேர்வைக்காரரும், சகல ஜனங்களும் செவிகொடாமற்போனார்கள்.

So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.

யூதா தேசத்தில் தங்கியிருப்பதற்கு, தாங்கள் துரத்துண்டிருந்த சகல ஜாதிகளிடத்திலுமிருந்து திரும்பி வந்த மீதியான யூதரெல்லாரையும், புருஷரையும், ஸ்திரீகளையும், குழந்தைகளையும், ராஜாவின் குமாரத்திகளையும், காவற்சேனாதிபதியாகிய நேபுசராதான், சாப்பானின் குமாரனாகிய அகிக்காமின் மகனான கெதலியாவினிடத்தில் விட்டுப்போன சகல ஆத்துமாக்களையும், தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எரேமியாவையும், நேரியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பாருக்கையும்,

But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;

கரேயாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோகனானும் சகல இராணுவச் சேர்வைக்காரரும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு,

Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.

கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடாதபடியினாலே, எகிப்து தேசத்துக்குப் போக எத்தனித்து, அதிலுள்ள தக்பானேஸ்மட்டும் போய்ச்சேர்ந்தார்கள்.

So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.

தக்பானேசிலே கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,

நீ உன் கையிலே பெரிய கற்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, யூதா ஜனங்களுக்கு முன்பாக அவைகளைத் தக்பானேசில் இருக்கிற பார்வோனுடைய அரமனையின் ஒலிமுகவாசலில் இருக்கிற சூளையின் களிமண்ணிலே புதைத்துவைத்து,

Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;

அவர்களை நோக்கி: இதோ, என் ஊழியக்காரனாகிய நேபுகாத்நேசார் என்கிற பாபிலோன் ராஜாவை நான் அழைத்தனுப்பி, நான் புதைப்பித்த இந்தக் கற்களின்மேல் அவனுடைய சிங்காசனத்தை வைப்பேன்; அவன் தன் ராஜகூடாரத்தை அவைகளின்மேல் விரிப்பான்.

And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.

அவன் வந்து, எகிப்து தேசத்தை அழிப்பான்; சாவுக்கு ஏதுவானவன் சாவுக்கும், சிறையிருப்புக்கு ஏதுவானவன் சிறையிருப்புக்கும், பட்டயத்துக்கு ஏதுவானவன் பட்டயத்துக்கும் உள்ளாவான்.

And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.

எகிப்தின் தேவர்களுடைய கோவில்களில் அக்கினியைக் கொளுத்துவேன்; அவன் அவைகளைச் சுட்டெரித்து, அவைகளைச் சிறைபிடித்துப்போய், ஒரு மேய்ப்பன் தன் கம்பளியைப் போர்த்துக்கொள்ளுமாப்போல் எகிப்து தேசத்தைப் போர்த்துக்கொண்டு, அவ்விடத்திலிருந்து சுகமாய்ப் புறப்பட்டுப்போவான்.

And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.

அவன் எகிப்து தேசத்தில் இருக்கிற பெத்ஷிமேசின் சிலைகளை உடைத்து, எகிப்தின் தேவர்களுடைய கோவில்களை அக்கினியால் சுட்டுப்போடுவான் என்று இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

He shall break also the images of Bethshemesh, that is in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians shall he burn with fire.

எரேமியா அத்தியாயம் 44

எகிப்து தேசத்தில் குடியேறி, மிக்தோலிலும், தக்பானேசிலும், நோப்பிலும், பத்ரோஸ் சீமையிலும் வாசமான எல்லா யூதரையுங்குறித்து, எரேமியாவுக்கு உண்டான வசனம்:

The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews which dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் எருசலேமின்மேலும், யூதாவின் சகல பட்டணங்களின்மேலும், வரப்பண்ணின தீங்கையெல்லாம் நீங்கள் கண்டீர்கள்.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein,

இதோ, அவர்களும் நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களும் அறியாத தேவர்களுக்கு தூபங்காட்டவும், ஆராதனைசெய்யவும் போய், எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டும்படிக்குச் செய்த அவர்களுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம், அவைகள் இந்நாளில் பாழாய்க்கிடக்கிறது, அவைகளில் குடியில்லை.

Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other gods, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers.

நான் வெறுக்கிற இந்த அருவருப்பான காரியத்தைச் செய்யாதிருங்களென்று, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய என் ஊழியக்காரரைக்கொண்டு உங்களுக்கு ஏற்கனவே சொல்லியனுப்பிக்கொண்டிருந்தேன்.

Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate.

ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அந்நியதேவர்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டாதபடிக்கு, என் சொல்லைக்கேளாமலும், பொல்லாப்பை விட்டுத் திரும்புவதற்குச் செவியைச்சாய்க்காமலும் போனார்கள்.

But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.

ஆகையால், என் உக்கிரமும் என் கோபமும் மூண்டு, யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும் பற்றியெரிந்தது; அவைகள் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி வனாந்தரமும் பாழுமாய்ப்போயிற்று.

Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.

இப்போதும் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனும் சேனைகளின் தேவனுமாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், நீங்கள் யூதாவில் ஒருவரையும் உங்களுக்கு மீதியாக வைக்காமல், உங்களில் புருஷனையும் ஸ்திரீயையும் பிள்ளையையும் பால்குடிக்கிற குழந்தையையும் வேரற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, உங்கள் கைகளின் கிரியைகளாலே எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டுகிற பெரிய பொல்லாப்பை உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு விரோதமாகச் செய்து,

Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain;

உங்களை வேரற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணுவதற்காகவும், நீங்கள் பூமியின் சகல ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளும் சாபமும் நிந்தையுமாயிருப்பதற்காவும், நீங்கள் தங்கியிருக்கவந்த எகிப்துதேசத்திலே அந்நிய தேவர்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டுவானேன்?

In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other gods in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

யூதாதேசத்திலும் எருசலேமின்வீதிகளிலும் உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், யூதாவின் ராஜாக்கள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், அவர்கள் ஸ்திரீகள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், நீங்கள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும், உங்கள் ஸ்திரீகள் செய்த பொல்லாப்புகளையும் மறந்து போனீர்களோ?

Have ye forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

அவர்கள் இந்நாள்மட்டும் மனம் நொறுங்குண்டதுமில்லை, அவர்கள் பயப்படுகிறதுமில்லை; நான் உங்கள் முன்பாகவும் உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் முன்பாகவும் வைத்த என் வேதத்தின்படியும் என் கட்டளைகளின்படியும் நடக்கிறதுமில்லை.

They are not humbled even unto this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, and to cut off all Judah.

எகிப்துதேசத்திலே தங்கும்படிக்கு வரத் தங்கள் முகங்களைத் திருப்பின மீதியான யூதரை வாரிக்கொள்ளுவேன்; அவர்கள் அனைவரும் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே நிர்மூலமாவார்கள்; அவர்கள் சிறியவன்முதல் பெரியவன்வரைக்கும், பட்டயத்துக்கு இரையாகி, பஞ்சத்தாலும் நிர்மூலமாவார்கள்; அவர்கள் பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் செத்து, சாபமும் பாழும் பழிப்பும் நிந்தையுமாவார்கள்.

And I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they shall all be consumed, and fall in the land of Egypt; they shall even be consumed by the sword and by the famine: they shall die, from the least even unto the greatest, by the sword and by the famine: and they shall be an execration, and an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

நான் எருசலேமை தண்டித்தபடி எகிப்துதேசத்தில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களையும் பட்டயத்தாலும், பஞ்சத்தாலும், கொள்ளைநோயாலும் தண்டிப்பேன்.

For I will punish them that dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence:

எகிப்துதேசத்திலே தங்கவும், மறுபடியும் தங்கள் ஆத்துமா வாஞ்சித்திருக்கிற யூதா தேசத்திலே குடியேறுவதற்கு அங்கே திரும்பிப்போகவும்வேண்டுமென்று இங்கே வந்த மீதியான யூதரிலே மீதியாயிருக்கிறவர்களும் தப்புகிறவர்களுமில்லை; தப்பிப்போகிறவர்களாகிய மற்றவர்களேயொழிய அவர்களில் ஒருவரும் அங்கே திரும்புவதில்லையென்றார் என்று சொன்னான்.

So that none of the remnant of Judah, which are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall escape or remain, that they should return into the land of Judah, to the which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return but such as shall escape.

அப்பொழுது தங்கள் ஸ்திரீகள் அந்நிய தேவர்களுக்குத் தூபங்காட்டினதாக அறிந்திருந்த எல்லாப் புருஷரும், பெரிய கூட்டமாய் நின்றிருந்த எல்லா ஸ்திரீகளும், எகிப்துதேசத்தில் பத்ரோசிலே குடியிருந்த சகல ஜனங்களும் எரேமியாவுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக:

Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,

நீ கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தில் எங்களுக்குச் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளின்படியே நாங்கள் உனக்குச் செவிகொடாமல்,

As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee.

எங்கள் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட எல்லா வார்த்தையின்படியேயும் நாங்கள் செய்து, வானராக்கினிக்கு தூபங்காட்டி, அவளுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்ப்போம்; நாங்களும், எங்கள் பிதாக்களும், எங்கள் ராஜாக்களும், எங்கள் பிரபுக்களும், யூதா பட்டணங்களிலும் எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும் செய்ததுபோலவே செய்வோம்; அப்பொழுது நாங்கள் அப்பத்தினால் திருப்தியாகி, ஒரு பொல்லாப்பையும் காணாமல் வாழ்ந்திருந்தோம்.

But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.

But since we left off to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

And when we burned incense to the queen of heaven, and poured out drink offerings unto her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings unto her, without our men?

அப்பொழுது எரேமியா, தனக்கு இப்படிப்பட்ட மறுமொழி கொடுத்த சகல ஜனங்களாகிய ஸ்திரீ புருஷர்களையும் மற்ற யாவரையும் நோக்கி:

Then Jeremiah said unto all the people, to the men, and to the women, and to all the people which had given him that answer, saying,

யூதாவின் பட்டணங்களிலும், எருசலேமின் வீதிகளிலும், நீங்களும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களும், உங்கள் ராஜாக்களும், உங்கள் பிரபுக்களும், தேசத்தின் ஜனங்களும் காட்டின தூபங்களை அல்லவோ கர்த்தர் நினைத்துத் தம்முடைய மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டார்.

The incense that ye burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind?

உங்கள் கிரியைகளின் பொல்லாப்பையும், நீங்கள் செய்த அருவருப்புகளையும், கர்த்தர் அப்புறம் பொறுத்திருக்கக்கூடாதபடியினால் அல்லவோ, உங்கள் தேசம் இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி குடியற்ற அந்தரவெளியும் பாழும் சாபமுமாயிற்று.

So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.

நீங்கள் தூபங்காட்டி, கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவஞ்செய்து, கர்த்தருடைய சத்தத்துக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும், அவருடைய வேதத்துக்கும், அவருடைய கட்டளைகளுக்கும், அவருடைய சாட்சிகளுக்கும், இணங்கி நடவாமலும் போனபடியினாலே இந்நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி இந்தத் தீங்கு உங்களுக்கு நேரிட்டது என்றான்.

Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil is happened unto you, as at this day.

பின்னும் எரேமியா சகல ஜனங்களையும், சகல ஸ்திரீகளையும் நோக்கி: எகிப்துதேசத்தில் இருக்கிற யூதராகிய நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்.

Moreover Jeremiah said unto all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of the LORD, all Judah that are in the land of Egypt:

இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், வானராக்கினிக்குத் தூபங்காட்டவும், அவளுக்குப் பானபலிகளை வார்க்கவும், நாங்கள் நேர்ந்துகொண்ட பொருத்தனைகளை எவ்விதத்திலும் செலுத்துவோமென்று, நீங்களும் உங்கள் ஸ்திரீகளும், உங்கள் வாயினாலே சொல்லி, உங்கள் கைகளினாலே நிறைவேற்றினீர்கள்; நீங்கள் உங்கள் பொருத்தனைகளை ஸ்திரப்படுத்தினது மெய்யே, அவைகளைச் செலுத்தினதும் மெய்யே.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying; Ye and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and fulfilled with your hand, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her: ye will surely accomplish your vows, and surely perform your vows.

ஆகையால், எகிப்து தேசத்தில் குடியிருக்கிற யூதா ஜனங்களாகிய நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்; இதோ, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவருடைய ஜீவனாணை என்று, எகிப்து தேசமெங்கும் ஒரு யூதா மனுஷன் வாயினாலும் இனி என் நாமம் வழங்கப்படுவதில்லையென்று நான் என் மகத்தான நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு ஆணையிடுகிறேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

இதோ, நான் அவர்கள்மேல் நன்மைக்கல்ல தீமைக்கே ஜாக்கிரதையாயிருப்பேன்; எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருக்கிற யூதா மனுஷர் எல்லாரும் ஒழிந்து தீருமளவும் பட்டயத்தாலும் பஞ்சத்தாலும் சங்காரமாவார்கள்.

Behold, I will watch over them for evil, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

ஆனாலும் பட்டயத்துக்குத் தப்புகிறவர்கள் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து யூதா தேசத்துக்குக் கொஞ்சம் பேராய்த் திரும்புவார்கள்; அப்படியே எகிப்துதேசத்திலே தங்கியிருக்க வந்த யூதாவில் மீதியான அனைவரும் அக்காலத்திலே தங்களுடைய வார்த்தையோ, என் வார்த்தையோ, யாருடைய வார்த்தை மெய்ப்படும் என்று அறிவார்கள்.

Yet a small number that escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, that are gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, mine, or theirs.

நான் இவ்விடத்தில் உங்களை தண்டிப்பேன் என்று உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சொன்ன என் வார்த்தைகள் மெய்ப்படுமென்று நீங்கள் அறிவதற்கு உங்களுக்கு இதுவே அடையாளம் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil:

இதோ, நான் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய சிதேக்கியாவை, அவனுடைய சத்துருவும் அவன் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடினவனுமாகிய நேபுகாத்நேச்சார் என்னும் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததுபோல, நான் பார்வோன் ஒப்பிரா என்னும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவையும், அவனுடைய சத்துருக்களின் கையிலும், அவன் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடுகிறவர்களின் கையிலும் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.

1கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 10

இப்படியிருக்க, சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் எவைகளை அறியவேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிறேனென்றால்; நம்முடைய பிதாக்களெல்லாரும் மேகத்துக்குக் கீழாயிருந்தார்கள், எல்லாரும், சமுத்திரத்தின் வழியாய் நடந்துவந்தார்கள்.

Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

எல்லாரும் மோசேக்குள்ளாக மேகத்தினாலும் சமுத்திரத்தினாலும் ஞானஸ்நானம்பண்ணப்பட்டார்கள்.

And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

எல்லாரும் ஒரே ஞானபோஜனத்தைப் புசித்தார்கள்.

And did all eat the same spiritual meat;

எல்லாரும் ஒரே ஞானபானத்தைக் குடித்தார்கள். எப்படியெனில், அவர்களோடேகூடச் சென்ற ஞானக்கன்மலையின் தண்ணீரைக் குடித்தார்கள்; அந்தக் கன்மலை கிறிஸ்துவே.

And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

அப்படியிருந்தும், அவர்களில் அதிகமானபேர்களிடத்தில் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருந்ததில்லை; ஆதலால் வனாந்தரத்திலே அவர்கள் அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.

But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

அவர்கள் இச்சித்ததுபோல நாமும் பொல்லாங்கானவைகளை இச்சியாதபடிக்கு, இவைகள் நமக்குத் திருஷ்டாந்தங்களாயிருக்கிறது.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

ஜனங்கள் புசிக்கவும் குடிக்கவும் உட்கார்ந்து விளையாட எழுந்திருந்தார்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, அவர்களில் சிலர் விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரர் ஆனதுபோல நீங்களும் ஆகாதிருங்கள்.

Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.

அவர்களில் சிலர் வேசித்தனம்பண்ணி, ஒரேநாளில் இருபத்துமூவாயிரம்பேர் விழுந்துபோனார்கள்; அதுபோல நாமும் வேசித்தனம்பண்ணாதிருப்போமாக.

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.

அவர்களில் சிலர் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைப்பார்த்து, பாம்புகளால் அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; அதுபோல நாமும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பரீட்சைபாராதிருப்போமாக.

Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

அவர்களில் சிலர் முறுமுறுத்து, சங்காரக்காரனாலே அழிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; அதுபோல நீங்களும் முறுமுறுக்காதிருங்கள்.

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.

இவைகளெல்லாம் திருஷ்டாந்தங்களாக அவர்களுக்குச் சம்பவித்தது; உலகத்தின் முடிவுகாலத்திலுள்ள நமக்கு எச்சரிப்புண்டாக்கும்படி எழுதப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறது.

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

இப்படியிருக்க, தன்னை நிற்கிறவனென்று எண்ணுகிறவன் விழாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருக்கக்கடவன்.

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

மனுஷருக்கு நேரிடுகிற சோதனையேயல்லாமல் வேறே சோதனை உங்களுக்கு நேரிடவில்லை. தேவன் உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்; உங்கள் திராணிக்கு மேலாக நீங்கள் சோதிக்கப்படுகிறதற்கு அவர் இடங்கொடாமல், சோதனையைத் தாங்கத்தக்கதாக, சோதனையோடுகூட அதற்குத் தப்பிக்கொள்ளும்படியான போக்கையும் உண்டாக்குவார்.

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

ஆகையால் எனக்குப் பிரியமானவர்களே, விக்கிரகாராதனைக்கு விலகி ஓடுங்கள்.

Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

உங்களைப் புத்திமான்களென்று எண்ணிப் பேசுகிறேன்; நான் சொல்லுகிறதை நீங்களே நிதானித்துப்பாருங்கள்.

I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

நாம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கிற ஆசீர்வாதத்தின் பாத்திரம் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய இரத்தத்தின் ஐக்கிமாயிருக்கிறதல்லவா? நாம் பிட்கிற அப்பம் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சரீரத்தின் ஐக்கியமாயிருக்கிறதல்லவா?

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

அந்த ஒரே அப்பத்தில் நாமெல்லாரும் பங்குபெறுகிறபடியால், அநேகரான நாம் ஒரே அப்பமும் ஒரே சரீரமுமாயிருக்கிறோம்.

For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

மாம்சத்தின்படியான இஸ்ரவேலரைப் பாருங்கள்; பலிகளைப் புசிக்கிறவர்கள் பலிபீடத்தோடே ஐக்கியமாயிருக்கிறார்களல்லவா?

Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?

இப்படியிருக்க, விக்கிரகம் ஒரு பொருளென்றும், விக்கிரகத்துக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்டது ஒரு பொருளென்றும் நான் சொல்லுகிறேனோ?

What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?

அஞ்ஞானிகள் பலியிடுகிறவைகளை தேவனுக்கு அல்ல, பேய்களுக்கே பலியிடுகிறார்களென்று சொல்லுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் பேய்களோடே ஐக்கியமாயிருக்க எனக்கு மனதில்லை.

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய பாத்திரத்திலும் பேய்களுடைய பாத்திரத்திலும் பானம் பண்ணக்கூடாதே; நீங்கள் கர்த்தருடைய போஜனபந்திக்கும் பேய்களுடைய போஜனபந்திக்கும் பங்குள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கக்கூடாதே.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

நாம் கர்த்தருக்கு எரிச்சலை மூட்டலாமா? அவரிலும் நாம் பலவான்களா?

Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?

எல்லாவற்றையும் அநுபவிக்க எனக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு, ஆகிலும் எல்லாம் தகுதியாயிராது; எல்லாவற்றையும் அநுபவிக்க எனக்கு அதிகாரமுண்டு, ஆகிலும் எல்லாம் பக்திவிருத்தியை உண்டாக்காது.

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.

ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன் சுயபிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடாமல், பிறனுடைய பிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடக்கடவன்.

Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.

கடையிலே விற்கப்படுகிற எதையும் வாங்கிப் புசியுங்கள்; மனச்சாட்சியினிமித்தம் நீங்கள் ஒன்றையும் விசாரிக்கவேண்டியதில்லை.

Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:

பூமியும் அதின் நிறைவும் கர்த்தருடையது.

For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.

அன்றியும் அவிசுவாசிகளில் ஒருவன் உங்களை விருந்துக்கு அழைக்கும்போது, போக உங்களுக்கு மனதிருந்தால், மனச்சாட்சியினிமித்தம் ஒன்றையும் விசாரியாமல், உங்கள் முன் வைக்கப்படுகிற எதையும் புசியுங்கள்.

If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.

ஆயினும் இது விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்டதென்று ஒருவன் உங்களுக்குச் சொன்னால், அப்படி அறிவித்தவனிமித்தமும் மனச்சாட்சியினிமித்தமும் புசியாதிருங்கள்; பூமியும் அதின் நிறைவும் கர்த்தருடையது.

But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof:

உன்னுடைய மனச்சாட்சியைக்குறித்து நான் இப்படிச் சொல்லாமல், மற்றொருவனுடைய மனச்சாட்சியைக்குறித்தே சொல்லுகிறேன். என் சுயாதீனம் மற்றொருவனுடைய மனச்சாட்சியினாலே குற்றமாய் எண்ணப்படவேண்டுவதென்ன?

Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?

மேலும் நான் அதை ஸ்தோத்திரிப்புடனே அநுபவித்தால், ஸ்தோத்திரித்து அநுபவிக்கிற பொருளைக்குறித்து நான் தூஷிக்கப்படுவானேன்?

For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் புசித்தாலும், குடித்தாலும், எதைச் செய்தாலும், எல்லாவற்றையும் தேவனுடைய மகிமைக்கென்று செய்யுங்கள்.

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

நான் என் சுயபிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடாமல், அநேகருடைய பிரயோஜனத்தைத் தேடி, அவர்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படும்படிக்கு, எவ்விதத்திலும் எல்லாருக்கும் பிரியமாய் நடக்கிறதுபோல;

Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

நீங்களும் யூதருக்கும், கிரேக்கருக்கும், தேவனுடைய சபைக்கும் இடறலற்றவர்களாயிருங்கள்.

Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.

1கொரிந்தியர் அத்தியாயம் 11

நான் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பின்பற்றுகிறதுபோல, நீங்கள் என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களாயிருங்கள்.

Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் என்னை நினைத்துக்கொண்டு, நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவித்தபடி நீங்கள் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு வருகிறதினிமித்தம் உங்களைப் புகழுகிறேன்.

Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.

ஒவ்வொரு புருஷனுக்கும் கிறிஸ்து தலையாயிருக்கிறாரென்றும், ஸ்திரீக்குப் புருஷன் தலையாயிருக்கிறானென்றும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு தேவன் தலையாயிருக்கிறாரென்றும், நீங்கள் அறியவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறேன்.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

ஜெபம்பண்ணுகிறபோதாவது, தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லுகிறபோதாவது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொண்டிருக்கிற எந்தப் புருஷனும் தன் தலையைக் கனவீனப்படுத்துகிறான்.

Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.

ஜெபம்பண்ணுகிறபோதாவது, தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லுகிறபோதாவது, தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளாதிருக்கிற எந்த ஸ்திரீயும் தன் தலையைக் கனவீனப்படுத்துகிறாள்; அது அவளுக்குத் தலை சிரைக்கப்பட்டதுபோலிருக்குமே.

But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் முக்காடிட்டுக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால் தலைமயிரையும் கத்தரித்துப்போடக்கடவள்; தலைமயிர் கத்தரிக்கப்படுகிறதும் சிரைக்கப்படுகிறதும் ஸ்திரீக்கு வெட்கமானால் முக்காடிட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கக்கடவள்.

For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

புருஷனானவன் தேவனுடைய சாயலும் மகிமையுமாயிருக்கிறபடியால், தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளவேண்டுவதில்லை; ஸ்திரீயானவள் புருஷனுடைய மகிமையாயிருக்கிறாள்.

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.

புருஷன் ஸ்திரீயிலிருந்து தோன்றினவனல்ல, ஸ்திரீயே புருஷனிலிருந்து தோன்றினவள்.

For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.

புருஷன் ஸ்திரீக்காகச் சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டவனல்ல, ஸ்திரீயே புருஷனுக்காகச் சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்டவள்.

Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

ஆகையால் தூதர்களினிமித்தம் ஸ்திரீயானவள் தலையின்மேல் முக்காடிட்டுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.

For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

ஆகிலும் கர்த்தருக்குள் ஸ்திரீயில்லாமல் புருஷனுமில்லை, புருஷனில்லாமல் ஸ்திரீயுமில்லை.

Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் புருஷனிலிருந்து தோன்றுகிறதுபோல, புருஷனும் ஸ்திரீயினால் தோன்றுகிறான்; சகலமும் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் தேவனை நோக்கி: ஜெபம்பண்ணுகையில், தன் தலையை மூடிக்கொள்ளாமலிருக்கிறது இலட்சணமாயிருக்குமோ என்று உங்களுக்குள்ளே நிதானித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?

புருஷன் மயிரை நீளமாய் வளர்க்கிறது அவனுக்கு கனவீனமாயிருக்கிறதென்றும்,

Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

ஸ்திரீ தன் மயிரை நீளமாய் வளர்க்கிறது அவளுக்கு மகிமையாயிருக்கிறதென்றும் சுபாவமே. உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறதில்லையா? தலைமயிர் அவளுக்கு முக்காடாகக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதே.

But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

ஆகிலும் ஒருவன் வாக்குவாதஞ்செய்ய மனதாயிருந்தால், எங்களுக்கும், தேவனுடைய சபைகளுக்கும், அப்படிப்பட்ட வழக்கமில்லையென்று அறியக்கடவன்.

But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.

உங்களைப் புகழாமல் இதைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளைகொடுக்கிறேன்; நீங்கள் கூடிவருதல் நன்மைக்கேதுவாயிராமல், தீமைக்கேதுவாயிருக்கிறதே.

Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

முதலாவது, நீங்கள் சபையிலே கூடிவந்திருக்கும்போது, உங்களில் பிரிவினைகள் உண்டென்று, கேள்விப்படுகிறேன்; அதில் சிலவற்றை நம்புகிறேன்.

For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

உங்களில் உத்தமர்கள் இன்னாரென்று வெளியாகும்படிக்கு மார்க்கபேதங்களும் உங்களுக்குள்ளே உண்டாயிருக்கவேண்டியதே.

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

நீங்கள் ஓரிடத்தில் கூடிவரும்போது, அவனவன் தன்தன் சொந்த போஜனத்தை முந்திச் சாப்பிடுகிறான்; ஒருவன் பசியாயிருக்கிறான், ஒருவன் வெறியாயிருக்கிறான்.

When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.

இப்படிச் செய்கிறது கர்த்தருடைய இராப்போஜனம்பண்ணுதலல்லவே.

For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

புசிக்கிறதற்கும் குடிக்கிறதற்கும் உங்களுக்கு வீடுகள் இல்லையா? தேவனுடைய சபையை அசட்டைபண்ணி, இல்லாதவர்களை வெட்கப்படுத்துகிறீர்களா? உங்களுக்கு நான் என்ன சொல்லுவேன்? இதைக்குறித்து உங்களைப் புகழ்வேனோ? புகழேன்.

What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

நான் உங்களுக்கு ஒப்புவித்ததைக் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் பெற்றுக்கொண்டேன்; என்னவெனில், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு தாம் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட அன்று இராத்திரியிலே அப்பத்தை எடுத்து,

For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

ஸ்தோத்திரம்பண்ணி, அதைப் பிட்டு: நீங்கள் வாங்கிப் புசியுங்கள், இது உங்களுக்காகப் பிட்கப்படுகிற என்னுடைய சரீரமாயிருக்கிறது; என்னை நினைவுகூரும்படி இதைச் செய்யுங்கள் என்றார்.

And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

போஜனம்பண்ணினபின்பு, அவர் அந்தப்படியே பாத்திரத்தையும் எடுத்து: இந்தப் பாத்திரம் என் இரத்தத்தினாலாகிய புதிய உடன்படிக்கையாயிருக்கிறது; நீங்கள் இதைப் பானம்பண்ணும்போதெல்லாம் என்னை நினைவுகூரும்படி இதைச் செய்யுங்கள் என்றார்.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

ஆகையால், நீங்கள் இந்த அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணும்போதெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் வருமளவும் அவருடைய மரணத்தைத் தெரிவிக்கிறீர்கள்.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

இப்படியிருக்க, எவன் அபாத்திரமாய்க் கர்த்தருடைய அப்பத்தைப் புசித்து, அவருடைய பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணுகிறானோ, அவன் கர்த்தருடைய சரீரத்தையும் இரத்தத்தையும் குறித்துக் குற்றமுள்ளவனாயிருப்பான்.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

எந்த மனுஷனும் தன்னைத்தானே சோதித்தறிந்து, இந்த அப்பத்தில் புசித்து, இந்தப் பாத்திரத்தில் பானம்பண்ணக்கடவன்.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

என்னத்தினாலெனில் அபாத்திரமாய்ப் போஜனபானம்பண்ணுகிறவன், கர்த்தருடைய சரீரம் இன்னதென்று நிதானித்து அறியாததினால், தனக்கு ஆக்கினைத்தீர்ப்பு வரும்படி போஜனபானம் பண்ணுகிறான்.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

இதினிமித்தம், உங்களில் அநேகர் பலவீனரும் வியாதியுள்ளவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; அநேகர் நித்திரையும் அடைந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.

நம்மை நாமே நிதானித்து அறிந்தால் நாம் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்படோம்.

For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

நாம் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்படும்போது உலகத்தோடே ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கப்படாதபடிக்கு, கர்த்தராலே சிட்சிக்கப்படுகிறோம்.

But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

ஆகையால், என் சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் போஜனம்பண்ணக் கூடிவரும்போது, ஒருவருக்காக ஒருவர் காத்திருங்கள்.

Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.

நீங்கள் ஆக்கினைக்கேதுவாகக் கூடிவராதபடிக்கு, ஒருவனுக்குப் பசியிருந்தால் வீட்டிலே சாப்பிடக்கடவன். மற்றக் காரியங்களை நான் வரும்போது திட்டம்பண்ணுவேன்.

And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
