ஏசாயா அத்தியாயம் 14

கர்த்தர் யாக்கோபுக்கு இரங்கி, பின்னும் இஸ்ரவேலரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்களை அவர்கள் தேசத்திலே தாபரிக்கப்பண்ணுவார்; அந்நியரும் அவர்களோடு சேர்க்கையாகி, யாக்கோபின் வம்சத்தோடே கூடிக்கொள்வார்கள்.

For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

ஜனங்கள் அவர்களை அழைத்துக் கொண்டுபோய் அவர்கள் ஸ்தானத்தில் விடுவார்கள்; இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் கர்த்தருடைய தேசத்திலே அவர்களை வேலைக்காரராகவும் வேலைக்காரிகளாகவும் கையாண்டு, தங்களைச் சிறையாக்கினவர்களைச் சிறையாக்கி, தங்களை ஒடுக்கினவர்களை ஆளுவார்கள்.

And the people shall take them, and bring them to their place: and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for servants and handmaids: and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

கர்த்தர் உன் துக்கத்தையும், உன் தத்தளிப்பையும், நீ அடிமையாக்கப்பட்டிருந்த கடினமான அடிமைத்தனத்தையும் நீக்கி, உன்னை இளைப்பாறப்பண்ணும் அக்காலத்திலே,

And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,

நீ பாபிலோன் ராஜாவின்மேல் சொல்லும் வாக்கியமாவது: ஒடுக்கினவன் ஒழிந்துபோனானே! பொன்னகரி ஒழிந்துபோயிற்றே!

That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!

கர்த்தர் துஷ்டரின் தண்டாயுதத்தையும், அரசாண்டவர்களின் செங்கோலையும் முறித்துப்போட்டார்.

The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers.

உக்கிரங்கொண்டு ஓயாத அடியாய் ஜனங்களை அடித்து, கோபமாய் ஜாதிகளை அரசாண்டவன், தடுப்பாரில்லாமல் துன்பப்படுத்தப்படுகிறான்.

He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

பூமிமுழுதும் இளைப்பாறி அமைந்திருக்கிறது; கெம்பீரமாய் முழங்குகிறார்கள்.

The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing.

தேவதாரு விருட்சங்களும், லீபனோனின் கேதுருக்களும், உன்னிமித்தம் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு, நீ விழுந்து கிடந்தது முதற்கொண்டு எங்களை வெட்டவருவார் ஒருவரும் இல்லை என்று சொல்லுகிறது.

Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

கீழே இருக்கிற பாதாளம் உன்னிமித்தம் அதிர்ந்து, உன் வருகைக்கு எதிர்கொண்டு, பூமியில் அதிபதிகளாயிருந்து செத்த இராட்சதர் யாவரையும் உன்னிமித்தம் எழுப்பி, ஜாதிகளுடைய எல்லா ராஜாக்களையும் அவர்களுடைய சிங்காசனங்களிலிருந்து எழுந்திருக்கப்பண்ணுகிறது.

Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

அவர்களெல்லாரும் உன்னை நோக்கி: நீயும் எங்களைப்போல பலட்சயமானாயோ? எங்களுக்குச் சமானமானாயோ? என்று சொல்லுவார்கள்.

All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?

உன் ஆடம்பரமும், உன் வாத்தியங்களின் முழக்கமும் பாதாளத்தில் தள்ளுண்டுபோயிற்று; புழுக்களே உன் படுக்கை, பூச்சிகளே உன் போர்வை.

Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

அதிகாலையின் மகனாகிய விடிவெள்ளியே, நீ வானத்திலிருந்து விழுந்தாயே! ஜாதிகளை ஈனப்படுத்தினவனே, நீ தரையிலே விழ வெட்டப்பட்டாயே!

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

நான் வானத்துக்கு ஏறுவேன், தேவனுடைய நட்சத்திரங்களுக்கு மேலாக என் சிங்காசனத்தை உயர்த்துவேன்; வடபுறங்களிலுள்ள ஆராதனைக் கூட்டத்தின் பர்வதத்திலே வீற்றிருப்பேன் என்றும்,

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

நான் மேகங்களுக்கு மேலாக உன்னதங்களில் ஏறுவேன்; உன்னதமானவருக்கு ஒப்பாவேன் என்றும் நீ உன் இருதயத்தில் சொன்னாயே.

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

ஆனாலும் நீ அகாதமான பாதாளத்திலே தள்ளுண்டுபோனாய்.

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

உன்னைக் காண்கிறவர்கள் உன்னை உற்றுப்பார்த்து, உன்னைக்குறித்துச் சிந்தித்து; இவன்தானா பூமியைத் தத்தளிக்கவும், ராஜ்யங்களை அதிரவும் செய்து,

They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

உலகத்தை வனாந்தரமாக்கி, அதின் நகரங்களை அழித்து, சிறைப்பட்டவர்களைத் தங்கள் வீடுகளுக்குப் போகவிடாமலிருந்தவன் என்பார்கள்.

That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

ஜாதிகளுடைய சகல ராஜாக்களும், அவரவர் தங்கள் அறையிலே மகிமையோடே கிடத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house.

நீயோ அழுகிப்போன கிளையைப்போலவும், பட்டயக்குத்தால் கொலையுண்டவர்களின் உடுப்பைப்போலவும், ஒரு குழியின் கற்களுக்குள்ளே கிடக்கிறவர்களைப்போலவும், காலால் மிதிக்கப்பட்ட பிணத்தைப்போலவும், உன் கல்லறைக்குப் புறம்பாய் எறிந்துவிடப்பட்டாய்.

But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet.

நீ அவர்களோடே அடக்கம்பண்ணப்படுவதில்லை; நீ உன் தேசத்தைக் கெடுத்து உன் ஜனத்தைக் கொன்றுபோட்டாய்; தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுடைய சந்ததி ஒருபோதும் பேர்பெறுவதில்லை.

Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

அவன் புத்திரர் எழும்பித்தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொண்டு, உலகத்தைப் பட்டணங்களால் நிரப்பாதபடிக்கு, அவர்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களைக் கொலைசெய்ய ஆயத்தம் பண்ணுங்கள்.

Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

நான் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; பாபிலோனுடைய பேரையும், அதில் மீந்திருக்கிறதையும், புத்திரனையும் பெளத்திரனையும் சங்கரிப்பேனென்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

For I will rise up against them, saith the LORD of hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name, and remnant, and son, and nephew, saith the LORD.

அதை முள்ளம்பன்றிகளுக்குச் சுதந்தரமும், தண்ணீர் நிற்கும் பள்ளங்களுமாக்கி, அதைச் சங்காரம் என்னும் துடைப்பத்தினால் பெருக்கிவிடுவேன் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.

நான் நினைத்திருக்கிறபடியே நடக்கும்; நான் நிர்ணயித்தபடியே நிலைநிற்கும் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் ஆணையிட்டுச் சொன்னார்.

The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

அசீரியனை என் தேசத்திலே முறித்து, என் மலைகளின்மேல் அவனை மிதித்துப்போடுவேன்; அப்பொழுது அவனுடைய நுகம் அவர்கள்மேலிருந்து விலகி, அவனுடைய சுமை அவர்கள் தோளிலிருந்து நீங்கும்.

That I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot: then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

தேசமனைத்தின்மேலும் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட யோசனை இதுவே; சகல ஜாதிகள்மேலும் நீட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற கையும் இதுவே என்றார்.

This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் இப்படி நிர்ணயித்திருக்கிறார், யார் அதை வியர்த்தமாக்குவான்? அவருடைய கை நீட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறது, யார் அதைத் திருப்புவான்?

For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

ஆகாஸ் ராஜா மரணமடைந்த வருஷத்திலே உண்டான பாரம் என்னவென்றால்:

In the year that king Ahaz died was this burden.

முழு பெலிஸ்தியாவே, உன்னை அடித்த கோல் முறிந்ததென்று அக்களிப்பாயிராதே; பாம்பின் வேரிலிருந்து கட்டுவிரியன் தோன்றும்; அதின் கனி பறக்கிற அக்கினி சர்ப்பமாயிருக்கும்.

Rejoice not thou, whole Palestina, because the rod of him that smote thee is broken: for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.

தரித்திரரின் தலைப்பிள்ளைகள் திருப்தியாய்ப் புசித்து, எளியவர்கள் சுகமாய்ப் படுத்திருப்பார்கள்; உன் வேரைப் பஞ்சத்தினாலே சாகப்பண்ணுவேன், உன்னில் மீதியானவர்களை அவன் கொன்று போடுவான்.

And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety: and I will kill thy root with famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

வாசலே அலறு; நகரமே கதறு; பெலிஸ்தியாவே, நீ முழுதும் கரைந்து போகிறாய்; ஏனென்றால், வடக்கே இருந்து புகைக்காடாய் வருகிறான்; அவன் கூட்டங்களில் தனித்தவனில்லை.

Howl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Palestina, art dissolved: for there shall come from the north a smoke, and none shall be alone in his appointed times.

இப்போதும் இந்த ஜாதியின் ஸ்தானாபதிகளுக்கு என்ன மாறுத்தரவு சொல்லப்படும்? கர்த்தர் சீயோனை அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தினார்; அவருடைய ஜனத்தில் சிறுமையானவர்கள் அதிலே திடன்கொண்டு தங்குவார்கள் என்பதே.

What shall one then answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD hath founded Zion, and the poor of his people shall trust in it.

ஏசாயா அத்தியாயம் 15

மோவாபின் பாரம். இரவிலே மோவாபிலுள்ள ஆர் என்னும் பட்டணம் பாழாக்கப்பட்டது, அது சங்காரமாயிற்று; இரவிலே மோவாபிலுள்ள கீர் என்னும் பட்டணம் பாழாக்கப்பட்டது, அது சங்காரமாயிற்று.

The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;

அழும்படி மேடைகளாகிய பாயித்துக்கும் தீபோனுக்கும் போகிறார்கள்; நேபோவினிமித்தமும் மேதெபாவினிமித்தமும் மோவாப் அலறுகிறது; அவர்களுடைய தலைகளெல்லாம் மொட்டையடித்திருக்கும்; தாடிகளெல்லாம் கத்தரித்திருக்கும்.

He is gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: on all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off.

அதின் வீதிகளில் இரட்டைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, எல்லாரும் அதின் வீடுகள்மேலும், அதின் தெருக்களிலும் அலறி, அழுதுகொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: on the tops of their houses, and in their streets, every one shall howl, weeping abundantly.

எஸ்போன் ஊராரும் எலெயாலே ஊராரும் கூக்குரலிடுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் சத்தம் யாகாஸ்மட்டும் கேட்கப்படுகிறது; ஆகையால் மோவாபின் ஆயுதபாணிகள் கதறுகிறார்கள்; அவனவனுடைய ஆத்துமா அவனவனில் கிலேசப்படுகிறது.

And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: their voice shall be heard even unto Jahaz: therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous unto him.

என் இருதயம் மோவாபினிமித்தம் ஓலமிடுகிறது; அதிலிருந்து ஓடிவருகிறவர்கள் மூன்று வயது கிடாரியைப்போல அலைகிறார்கள்; லூகித்துக்கு ஏறிப்போகிற வழியிலே அழுகையோடே ஏறுகிறார்கள்; ஒரோனாயீமின் வழியிலே நொறுங்குதலின் கூக்குரல் இடுகிறார்கள்.

My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee unto Zoar, an heifer of three years old: for by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping shall they go it up; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction.

நிம்ரீமின் நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சலான இடங்கள் பாழாய்ப்போகும்; புல் உலர்ந்து, முளை அழிந்து, பச்சையில்லாமற் போகிறது.

For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing.

ஆதலால் மிகுதியாகச் சேர்த்ததையும், அவர்கள் சம்பாதித்து வைத்ததையும், அலரிகளின் ஆற்றுக்கப்பாலே எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோவார்கள்.

Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, shall they carry away to the brook of the willows.

கூக்குரல் மோவாபின் எல்லையெங்கும் சுற்றும்; எக்லாயிம்மட்டும் அதின் அலறுதலும், பெரேலீம்மட்டும் அதின் புலம்புதலும் எட்டும்.

For the cry is gone round about the borders of Moab; the howling thereof unto Eglaim, and the howling thereof unto Beerelim.

தீமோனின் தண்ணீர்கள் இரத்தத்தால் நிறைந்திருக்கும்; தீமோனின்மேல் அதிகக்கேடுகளைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்; மோவாபிலே தப்பினவர்கள்மேலும், தேசத்தில் மீதியானவர்கள்மேலும் சிங்கத்தை வரப்பண்ணுவேன்.

For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.

ஏசாயா அத்தியாயம் 16

தேசாதிபதிக்குச் செலுத்தும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளை நீங்கள் சேலாபட்டணந்துவக்கி வனாந்தரமட்டும் சேர்த்துச் சீயோன் குமாரத்தியின் மலைக்கு அனுப்புங்கள்.

Send ye the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.

இல்லாவிட்டால் கூட்டைவிட்டுத் துரத்தப்பட்டு அலைகிற குருவியைப்போல மோவாபின் குமாரத்திகள் அர்னோன் நதியின் துறைகளிடத்திலிருப்பார்கள்.

For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

நீ ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, நியாயஞ்செய்து, மத்தியானத்திலே உன் நிழலை இரவைப்போலாக்கி, துரத்தப்பட்டவர்களை மறைத்துக்கொள், ஓடிவருகிறவர்களைக் காட்டிக்கொடாதிரு.

Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.

மோவாபே, துரத்திவிடப்பட்ட என் ஜனங்கள் உன்னிடத்தில் தங்கட்டும்; சங்கரிக்கிறவனுக்குத் தப்ப அவர்களுக்கு அடைக்கலமாயிரு; ஒடுக்குகிறவன் இல்லாதேபோவான்; சங்கரிப்பு ஒழிந்துபோம்; மிதிக்கிறவர்கள் தேசத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அழிந்துபோவார்கள்.

Let mine outcasts dwell with thee, Moab; be thou a covert to them from the face of the spoiler: for the extortioner is at an end, the spoiler ceaseth, the oppressors are consumed out of the land.

கிருபையினாலே சிங்காசனம் ஸ்தாபிக்கப்படும்; நியாயம் விசாரித்துத் துரிதமாய் நீதிசெய்கிற ஒருவர் அதின்மேல் தாவீதின் கூடாரத்திலே நியாயாதிபதியாய் உண்மையோடே வீற்றிருப்பார்.

And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.

மோவாபின் பெருமையையும், அவன் மேட்டிமையையும், அவன் அகங்காரத்தையும், அவன் உக்கிரத்தையும் குறித்துக் கேட்டோம்; அவன் மெத்தப் பெருமைக்காரன்; ஆனாலும் அவன் வீம்பு செல்லாது.

We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: but his lies shall not be so.

ஆகையால், மோவாபியர் ஒருவருக்காக ஒருவர் அலறுவார்கள், எல்லாரும் ஏகமாய் அலறுவார்கள்; கிராரேசேத் ஊரின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் தகர்க்கப்பட்டதே என்று அவைகளுக்காகப் பெருமூச்சு விடுவார்கள்.

Therefore shall Moab howl for Moab, every one shall howl: for the foundations of Kirhareseth shall ye mourn; surely they are stricken.

எஸ்போன் ஊர் வயல்கள் வாடிப்போயின; சிப்மா ஊர் திராட்சச்செடியின் நல்ல கொடிகளை ஜாதிகளின் அதிபதிகள் நறுக்கிப்போட்டார்கள்; அவைகள் யாசேர்மட்டும் சென்று வனாந்தரத்தில் படர்ந்திருந்தது; அவைகளின் கொடிகள் நீண்டு கடலுக்கப்பாலே எட்டியிருந்தது.

For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.

ஆகையால் யாசேருக்காக அழுததுபோல, சிப்மா ஊர் திராட்சச்செடிக்காகவும் மிகவும் அழுவேன்; எஸ்போனே, எலெயாலேயே, உனக்கு என் கண்ணீரைப் பாய்ச்சுவேன்; உன் வசந்தகாலத்துப் பழங்களுக்காகவும், உன் திராட்சப்பழ அறுப்புக்காகவும் ஆரவாரிக்கிற சந்தோஷ சத்தம் விழுந்துபோயிற்று.

Therefore I will bewail with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water thee with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: for the shouting for thy summer fruits and for thy harvest is fallen.

பயிர்வெளியிலிருந்து சந்தோஷமும் களிப்பும் அற்றுப்போயின; திராட்சத்தோட்டங்களில் பாடலுமில்லை ஆர்ப்பரிப்புமில்லை; ஆலையில் இரசத்தை மிதிக்கிறவனுமில்லை; சந்தோஷ ஆரவாரத்தை ஓயப்பண்ணினேன்.

And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: the treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease.

ஆகையால் மோவாபினிமித்தம் என் குடல்களும், கிராரேசினிமித்தம் என் உள்ளமும் சுரமண்டலத்தைப்போல தொனிக்கிறது.

Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward parts for Kirharesh.

மோவாப் மேடைகளின்மேல் சலித்துப்போனான் என்று காணப்படும்போது, பிரார்த்தனை செய்யத் தன் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தானத்திலே பிரவேசிப்பான்; ஆனாலும் அநுகூலப்படமாட்டான்.

And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail.

மோவாபைக்குறித்து அக்காலத்திலே கர்த்தர் சொன்ன வார்த்தை இதுவே.

This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning Moab since that time.

ஒரு கூலிக்காரனுடைய வருஷங்களுக்கொத்த மூன்று வருஷங்களுக்குள்ளே மோவாபின் மகிமையும் அதின் மகா ஜனக்கூட்டமும் சீரழிந்துபோகும்; அதில் மீதியாயிருப்பது மிகவும் சிறிதும் அற்பமுமாயிருக்கும் என்று கர்த்தர் இப்பொழுது சொல்லுகிறார்.

But now the LORD hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.

அப்போஸ்தலர் அத்தியாயம் 2

பெந்தெகொஸ்தே என்னும் நாள் வந்தபோது, அவர்களெல்லாரும் ஒருமனப்பட்டு ஓரிடத்திலே வந்திருந்தார்கள்.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

அப்பொழுது பலத்த காற்று அடிக்கிற முழக்கம்போல, வானத்திலிருந்து சடிதியாய் ஒரு முழக்கமுண்டாகி, அவர்கள் உட்கார்ந்திருந்த வீடு முழுவதையும் நிரப்பிற்று.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

அல்லாமலும் அக்கினிமயமான நாவுகள்போலப் பிரிந்திருக்கும் நாவுகள் அவர்களுக்குக் காணப்பட்டு, அவர்கள் ஒவ்வொருவர்மேலும் வந்து அமர்ந்தது.

And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

அவர்களெல்லாரும் பரிசுத்தஆவியினாலே நிரப்பப்பட்டு, ஆவியானவர் தங்களுக்குத் தந்தருளின வரத்தின்படியே வெவ்வேறு பாஷைகளிலே பேசத்தொடங்கினார்கள்.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

வானத்தின் கீழிருக்கிற சகல தேசத்தாரிலுமிருந்துவந்த தேவபக்தியுள்ள யூதர்கள் அப்பொழுது எருசலேமிலே வாசம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

அந்தச் சத்தம் உண்டானபோது, திரளான ஜனங்கள் கூடிவந்து, தங்கள் தங்கள் பாஷையிலே அவர்கள் பேசுகிறதை அவரவர்கள் கேட்டபடியினாலே கலக்கமடைந்தார்கள்.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

எல்லாரும் பிரமித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, ஒருவரையொருவர் பார்த்து: இதோ, பேசுகிற இவர்களெல்லாரும் கலிலேயரல்லவா?

And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

அப்படியிருக்க, நம்மில் அவரவர்களுடைய ஜென்மபாஷைகளிலே இவர்கள் பேசக் கேட்கிறோமே, இதெப்படி?

And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

பார்த்தரும், மேதரும், ஏலாமீத்தரும், மெசொப்பொத்தாமியா, யூதேயா, கப்பத்தோக்கியா, பொந்து, ஆசியா, பிரிகியா,

Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

பம்பிலியா, எகிப்து என்னும் தேசத்தார்களும், சிரேனே பட்டணத்தைச் சுற்றியிருக்கிற லீபியாவின் திசைகளிலே குடியிருக்கிறவர்களும், இங்கே சஞ்சரிக்கிற ரோமாபுரியாரும், யூதரும், யூதமார்க்கத்தமைந்தவர்களும்,

Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

கிரேத்தரும், அரபியருமாகிய நாம் நம்முடைய பாஷைகளிலே இவர்கள் தேவனுடைய மகத்துவங்களைப் பேசக்கேட்கிறோமே என்றார்கள்.

Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

எல்லாரும் பிரமித்துச் சந்தேகப்பட்டு, இதென்னமாய் முடியுமோ என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

மற்றவர்களோ: இவர்கள் மதுபானத்தினால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறார்களென்று பரியாசம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

அப்பொழுது பேதுரு பதினொருவரோடுங்கூட நின்று, அவர்களை நோக்கி, உரத்த சத்தமாய்: யூதர்களே, எருசலேமில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற ஜனங்களே, நீங்களெல்லாரும் அறிந்துகொள்வீர்களாக, என் வார்த்தைகளுக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

நீங்கள் நினைக்கிறபடி இவர்கள் வெறிகொண்டவர்களல்ல, பொழுது விடிந்து மூன்றாம் மணி வேளையாயிருக்கிறதே.

For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய யோவேலினால் உரைக்கப்பட்டபடியே இது நடந்தேறுகிறது.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

கடைசிநாட்களில் நான் மாம்சமான யாவர்மேலும் என் ஆவியை ஊற்றுவேன், அப்பொழுது உங்கள் குமாரரும் உங்கள் குமாரத்திகளும் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்லுவார்கள்; உங்கள் வாலிபர் தரிசனங்களை அடைவார்கள்; உங்கள் மூப்பர் சொப்பனங்களைக் காண்பார்கள்;

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

என்னுடைய ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும், என்னுடைய ஊழியக்காரிகள்மேலும் அந்நாட்களில் என் ஆவியை ஊற்றுவேன், அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொல்லுவார்கள்.

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

அல்லாமலும் உயர வானத்திலே அற்புதங்களையும், தாழ பூமியிலே இரத்தம், அக்கினி, புகைக்காடாகிய அதிசயங்களையும் காட்டுவேன்.

And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

கர்த்தருடைய பெரிதும் பிரகாசமுமான நாள் வருமுன்னே சூரியன் இருளாகவும், சந்திரன் இரத்தமாகவும் மாறும்.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவனெவனோ அவன் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான் என்று தேவன் உரைத்திருக்கிறார்.

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

இஸ்ரவேலரே, நான் சொல்லும் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறபடி நசரேயனாகிய இயேசுவைக்கொண்டு தேவன் உங்களுக்குள்ளே பலத்த செய்கைகளையும், அற்புதங்களையும், அடையாளங்களையும் நடப்பித்து, அவைகளினாலே அவரை உங்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:

அப்படியிருந்தும், தேவன் நிர்ணயித்திருந்த ஆலோசனையின்படியேயும், அவருடைய முன்னறிவின்படியேயும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்ட அந்த இயேசுவை நீங்கள் பிடித்து, அக்கிரமக்காரருடைய கைகளினாலே சிலுவையில் ஆணியடித்துக் கொலைசெய்தீர்கள்.

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

தேவன் அவருடைய மரண உபாதிகளின் கட்டை அவிழ்த்து, அவரை ஏழுப்பினார்; அவர் மரணத்தினால் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கக்கூடாதிருந்தது.

Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.

அவரைக்குறித்துத் தாவீது: கர்த்தரை ஏப்பொழுதும் எனக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தி நோக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்; நான் அசைக்கப்படாதபடி அவர் என் வலதுபாரிசத்திலே இருக்கிறார்;

For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

அதினாலே என் இருதயம் மகிழ்ந்தது, என் நாவு களிகூர்ந்தது, என் மாம்சமும் நம்பிக்கையோடே தங்கியிருக்கும்;

Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:

என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பாதாளத்தில் விடீர், உம்முடைய பரிசுத்தர் அழிவைக்காணவொட்டீர்;

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

ஜீவமார்க்கங்களை எனக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தினீர்; உம்முடைய சந்நிதானத்திலே என்னைச் சந்தோஷத்தினால் நிரப்புவீர் என்று சொல்லுகிறான்.

Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.

சகோதரரே, கோத்திரத்தலைவனாகிய தாவீதைக்குறித்து நான் உங்களுடனே தைரியமாய்ப் பேசுகிறதற்கு இடங்கொடுங்கள்; அவன் மரணமடைந்து அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய கல்லறை இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நம்மிடத்திலிருக்கிறது.

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

அவன் தீர்க்கதரிசியாயிருந்து: உன் சிங்காசனத்தில் வீற்றிருக்க மாம்சத்தின்படி உன் சந்ததியிலே கிறிஸ்துவை ஏழும்பப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று தேவன் தனக்குச் சத்தியம்பண்ணினதை அறிந்தபடியால்,

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

அவன் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய ஆத்துமா பாதாளத்திலே விடப்படுவதில்லையென்றும், அவருடைய மாம்சம் அழிவைக் காண்பதில்லையென்றும் முன்னறிந்து, அவர் உயிர்த்தெழுதலைக்குறித்து இப்படிச் சொன்னான்.

He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

இந்த இயேசுவை தேவன் ஏழுப்பினார்; இதற்கு நாங்களெல்லாரும் சாட்சிகளாயிருக்கிறோம்.

This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

அவர் தேவனுடைய வலதுகரத்தினாலே உயர்த்தப்பட்டு, பிதா அருளிய வாக்குத்தத்தின்படி பரிசுத்த ஆவியைப் பெற்று, நீங்கள் இப்பொழுது காண்கிறதும் கேட்கிறதுமாகிய இதைப் பொழிந்தருளினார்.

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

தாவீது பரலோகத்திற்கு எழுந்து போகவில்லையே. நான் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களை உமக்குப் பாதபடியாக்கிப்போடும்வரைக்கும்,

For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

நீர் என் வலதுபாரிசத்தில் உட்காருமென்று கர்த்தர் என் ஆண்டவருடனே சொன்னார் என்று அவனே சொல்லியிருக்கிறான்.

Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

ஆகையினால், நீங்கள் சிலுவையில் அறைந்த இந்த இயேசுவையே தேவன் ஆண்டவரும் கிறிஸ்துவுமாக்கினாரென்று இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தார் யாவரும் நிச்சயமாய் அறியக்கடவர்கள் என்றான்.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

இதை அவர்கள் கேட்டபொழுது, இருதயத்திலே குத்தப்பட்டவர்களாகி, பேதுருவையும் மற்ற அப்போஸ்தலரையும் பார்த்து: சகோதரரே, நாங்கள் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

பேதுரு அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் மனந்திரும்பி, ஒவ்வொருவரும் பாவமன்னிப்புக்கென்று இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தினாலே ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள், அப்பொழுது பரிசுத்த ஆவியின் வரத்தைப் பெறுவீர்கள்.

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

வாக்குத்தத்தமானது உங்களுக்கும், உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும், நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் வரவழைக்கும் தூரத்திலுள்ள யாவருக்கும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது என்று சொல்லி;

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

இன்னும் அநேக வார்த்தைகளாலும் சாட்சிகூறி, மாறுபாடுள்ள இந்தச் சந்ததியை விட்டுவிலகி உங்களை இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றும் புத்திசொன்னான்.

And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

அவனுடைய வார்த்தையைச் சந்தோஷமாய் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டவர்கள் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்கள். அன்றையத்தினம் ஏறக்குறைய மூவாயிரம்பேர் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டார்கள்.

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

அவர்கள் அப்போஸ்தலருடைய உபதேசத்திலும், அந்நியோந்நியத்திலும், அப்பம் பிட்குதலிலும், ஜெபம்பண்ணுதலிலும் உறுதியாய்த் தரித்திருந்தார்கள்.

And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

எல்லாருக்கும் பயமுண்டாயிற்று. அப்போஸ்தலர்களாலே அநேக அற்புதங்களும் அடையாளங்களும் செய்யப்பட்டது.

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

விசுவாசிகளெல்லாரும் ஒருமித்திருந்து, சகலத்தையும் பொதுவாய் வைத்து அநுபவித்தார்கள்.

And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

காணியாட்சிகளையும் ஆஸ்திகளையும் விற்று, ஒவ்வொருவனுக்கும் தேவையானதற்குத்தக்கதாக அவைகளில் எல்லாருக்கும் பகிர்ந்துகொடுத்தார்கள்.

And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

அவர்கள் ஒருமனப்பட்டவர்களாய் தேவாலயத்திலே அநுதினமும் தரித்திருந்து, வீடுகள்தோறும் அப்பம்பிட்டு மகிழ்ச்சியோடும் கபடமில்லாத இருதயத்தோடும் போஜனம்பண்ணி,

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

தேவனைத் துதித்து, ஜனங்களெல்லாரிடத்திலும் தயவுபெற்றிருந்தார்கள். இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறவர்களைக் கர்த்தர் அநுதினமும் சபையிலே சேர்த்துக்கொண்டுவந்தார்.

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
