யாத்திராகமம் அத்தியாயம் 4

அப்பொழுது மோசே: அவர்கள் என்னை நம்பார்கள்; என் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடார்கள்; கர்த்தர் உனக்குத் தரிசனமாகவில்லை என்று சொல்லுவார்கள் என்றான்.

And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.

கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: உன் கையிலிருக்கிறது என்ன என்றார். ஒரு கோல் என்றான்.

And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

அதைத் தரையிலே போடு என்றார்; அவன் அதைத் தரையிலே போட்டபோது, அது சர்ப்பமாயிற்று; மோசே அதற்கு விலகியோடினான்.

And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: உன் கையை நீட்டி, அதின் வாலைப் பிடி என்றார்; அவன் தன் கையை நீட்டி, அதைப் பிடித்தபோது, அது அவன் கையிலே கோலாயிற்று.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:

ஆபிரகாமின் தேவனும் ஈசாக்கின் தேவனும் யாக்கோபின் தேவனுமாயிருக்கிற தங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உனக்குத் தரிசனமானதை அவர்கள் நம்புவதற்கு இதுவே அடையாளம் என்றார்.

That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared unto thee.

மேலும், கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: உன் கையை உன் மடியிலே போடு என்றார்; அவன் தன் கையைத் தன் மடியிலே போட்டு, அதை வெளியே எடுக்கும்போது, இதோ, அவன் கை உறைந்த மழையைப்போல வெண்குஷ்டம் பிடித்திருந்தது.

And the LORD said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow.

அவர்: உன் கையைத் திரும்பவும் உன் மடியிலே போடு என்றார். அவன் தன் கையைத் திரும்பத் தன் மடியிலே போட்டு, தன் மடியிலிருந்து அதை வெளியே எடுத்தபோது, அது திரும்ப அவனுடைய மற்றச் சதையைப்போலாயிற்று.

And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: முந்தின அடையாளத்தை அவர்கள் கண்டு, உன்னை நம்பாமலும் உனக்குச் செவிகொடாமலும் போனால், பிந்தின அடையாளத்தைக் கண்டு நம்புவார்கள்.

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

இவ்விரண்டு அடையாளங்களையும் அவர்கள் நம்பாமலும், உன் வாக்குக்குச் செவிகொடமலும் இருப்பார்களானால், அப்பொழுது நீ நதியின் தண்ணீரை மொண்டு நிலத்தில் ஊற்றுவாயாக; நதியில் மொண்ட தண்ணீர் வெட்டாந்தரையிலே இரத்தமாகும் என்றார்.

And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of the river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become blood upon the dry land.

அப்பொழுது மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, இதற்கு முன்னாவது, தேவரீர் உமது அடியேனோடே பேசினதற்குப் பின்னாவது நான் வாக்குவல்லவன் அல்ல; நான் திக்குவாயும் மந்த நாவும் உள்ளவன் என்றான்.

And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் அவனை நோக்கி: மனுஷனுக்கு வாயை உண்டாக்கினவர் யார்? ஊமையனையும் செவிடனையும் பார்வையுள்ளவனையும் குருடனையும் உண்டாக்கினவர் யார்? கர்த்தராகிய நான் அல்லவா?

And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?

ஆதலால், நீ போ; நான் உன் வாயோடே இருந்து, நீ பேசவேண்டியதை உனக்குப் போதிப்பேன் என்றார்.

Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

அதற்கு அவன்: ஆண்டவரே. நீர் அனுப்பச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிற யாரையாகிலும் அனுப்பும் என்றான்.

And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயின் மேல் கோபம்மூண்டவராகி: லேவியனாகிய ஆரோன் உன் சகோதரன் அல்லவா? அவன் நன்றாய்ப் பேசுகிறவன் என்று அறிவேன்; அவன் உன்னைச் சந்திக்கப் புறப்பட்டு வருகிறான்; உன்னைக் காணும்போது அவன் இருதயம் மகிழும்.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

நீ அவனோடே பேசி, அவன் வாயில் வார்த்தைகளைப் போடு; நான் உன் வாயிலும் அவன் வாயிலும் இருந்து, நீங்கள் செய்யவேண்டியதை உங்களுக்கு உணர்த்துவேன்.

And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what ye shall do.

அவன் உனக்குப் பதிலாக ஜனங்களோடே பேசுவான்; இவ்விதமாய் அவன் உனக்கு வாயாக இருப்பான்; நீ அவனுக்குத் தேவனாக இருப்பாய்.

And he shall be thy spokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him instead of God.

இந்தக் கோலையும் உன் கையிலே பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோ, இதனால் நீ அடையாளங்களைச் செய்வாய் என்றார்.

And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.

மோசே தன் மாமனாகிய எத்திரோவினிடத்துக்கு வந்து: நான் எகிப்திலிருக்கிற என் சகோதரரிடத்துக்குத் திரும்பிப்போய், அவர்கள் இன்னும் உயிரோடே இருக்கிறார்களா என்று பார்க்கும்படிப் புறப்பட்டுப்போக உத்தரவு தரவேண்டும் என்றான். அப்பொழுது எத்திரோ மோசேயை நோக்கி: சுகமாய்ப் போய்வாரும் என்றான்.

And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மீதியானிலே மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ எகிப்துக்குத் திரும்பிப் போ, உன் பிராணனை வாங்கத்தேடின மனிதர் எல்லாரும் இறந்துபோனார்கள் என்றார்.

And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life.

அப்பொழுது மோசே தன் மனைவியையும் தன் பிள்ளைகளையும் கழுதையின் மேல் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு, எகிப்து தேசத்துக்குத் திரும்பினான்; தேவனுடைய கோலையும் மோசே தன் கையிலே பிடித்துக்கொண்டு போனான்.

And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ எகிப்திலே திரும்பிப்போய்ச் சேர்ந்தபின், நான் உன் கையில் அளித்திருக்கிற அற்புதங்கள் யாவையும் பார்வோனுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்யும்படி எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; ஆகிலும், நான் அவன் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்துவேன்; அவன் ஜனத்தைப் போகவிடான்.

And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.

அப்பொழுது நீ பார்வோனோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: இஸ்ரவேல் என்னுடைய குமாரன், என் சேஷ்டபுத்திரன்.

And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:

எனக்கு ஆராதனை செய்யும்படி என் குமாரனை அனுப்பிவிடு என்று கட்டளையிடுகிறேன்; அவனை விடமாட்டேன் என்பாயாகில் நான் உன்னுடைய குமாரனை, உன் சேஷ்டபுத்திரனைச் சங்கரிப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொன்னார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.

வழியிலே தங்கும் இடத்தில் கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு எதிர்ப்பட்டு, அவனைக் கொல்லப்பார்த்தார்.

And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.

அப்பொழுது சிப்போராள் கருக்கான ஒரு கல்லை எடுத்து, தன் புத்திரனுடைய நுனித்தோலை அறுத்து, அதை அவன் கால்களுக்கு முன்பாக எறிந்து: நீர் எனக்கு இரத்தசம்பந்தமான புருஷன் என்றாள்.

Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

பின்பு அவர் அவனைவிட்டு விலகினார். அப்பொழுது அவள்: விருத்தசேதனத்தினிமித்தம் நீர் எனக்கு இரத்தசம்பந்தமான புருஷன் என்றாள்.

So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband thou art, because of the circumcision.

கர்த்தர் ஆரோனை நோக்கி: நீ வனாந்தரத்தில் மோசேக்கு எதிர்கொண்டுபோ என்றார். அவன் போய், தேவபர்வதத்தில் அவனைச் சந்தித்து, அவனை முத்தஞ்செய்தான்.

And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went, and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.

அப்பொழுது மோசே தன்னை அனுப்பின கர்த்தருடைய சகல வார்த்தைகளையும் அவர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட சகல அடையாளங்களையும் ஆரோனுக்குத் தெரிவித்தான்.

And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him.

மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் போய், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் மூப்பர் எல்லாரையும் கூடிவரச் செய்தார்கள்.

And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel:

கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குச் சொல்லிய சகல வார்த்தைகளையும் ஆரோன் சொல்லி, ஜனங்களின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக அந்த அடையாளங்களையும் செய்தான்.

And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.

ஜனங்கள் விசுவாசித்தார்கள்; கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைச் சந்தித்தார் என்றும், அவர்கள் படும் உபத்திரவங்களைக் கண்ணோக்கிப்பார்த்தார் என்றும், அவர்கள் கேட்டபோது, தலைகுனிந்துத் தொழுதுகொண்டார்கள்.

And the people believed: and when they heard that the LORD had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

பின்பு, மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் பார்வோனிடத்தில் போய்: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் வனாந்திரத்திலே எனக்குப் பண்டிகை கொண்டாடும்படி என் ஜனங்களைப் போகவிடவேண்டும் என்று சொல்லுகிறார் என்றார்கள்.

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

அதற்குப் பார்வோன்: நான் இஸ்ரவேலைப் போகவிடக் கர்த்தரின் வார்த்தையைக் கேட்கிறதற்கு அவர் யார்? நான் கர்த்தரை அறியேன்; நான் இஸ்ரவேலைப் போகவிடுவதில்லை என்றான்.

And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள்: எபிரெயருடைய தேவன் எங்களைச் சந்தித்தார்; நாங்கள் வனாந்தரத்தில் மூன்றுநாள் பிரயாணம் போய், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடும்படி போகவிடவேண்டும்; போகாதிருந்தால், அவர் கொள்ளைநோயும் பட்டயமும் எங்கள் மேல் வரப்பண்ணுவார் என்றார்கள்.

And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

எகிப்தின் ராஜா அவர்களை நோக்கி: மோசேயும் ஆரோனுமாகிய நீங்கள் ஜனங்களைத் தங்கள் வேலைகளை விட்டுக் கலையப்பண்ணுகிறது என்ன? உங்கள் சுமைகளைச் சுமக்கப்போங்கள் என்றான்.

And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

பின்னும் பார்வோன்: இதோ, தேசத்தில் ஜனங்கள் மிகுதியாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் சுமை சுமக்கிறதை விட்டு ஓய்ந்திருக்கும்படி செய்கிறீர்களே என்றான்.

And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

அன்றியும், அந்நாளிலே பார்வோன் ஜனங்களின் ஆளோட்டிகளையும் அவர்கள் தலைவரையும் நோக்கி:

And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

செங்கல் வேலைக்கு நீங்கள் முன்போல இனி ஜனங்களுக்கு வைக்கோல் கொடுக்கவேண்டாம்; அவர்கள் தாங்களே போய்த் தங்களுக்கு வைக்கோல் சேர்க்கட்டும்.

Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

அவர்கள் முன் செய்துகொடுத்த கணக்கின்படியே செங்கல் செய்யும்படி சொல்லுங்கள்; அதிலே நீங்கள் ஒன்றும் குறைக்கவேண்டாம், அவர்கள் சோம்பலாயிருக்கிறார்கள்; அதினால் நாங்கள் போய் எங்கள் தேவனுக்குப் பலியிடுவோம் என்று கூக்குரலிடுகிறார்கள்.

And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

அந்த மனிதர்மேல் முன்னிலும் அதிக வேலையைச் சுமத்துங்கள், அதில் அவர்கள் கஷ்டப்படட்டும்; வீண்வார்த்தைகளுக்கு அவர்கள் செவிகொடுக்கவிடாதிருங்கள் என்று கட்டளையிட்டான்.

Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

அப்பொழுது ஜனங்களின் ஆளோட்டிகளும் அவர்கள் தலைவர்களும் புறப்பட்டுப்போய் ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: உங்களுக்கு வைக்கோல் கொடுப்பதில்லை;

And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

நீங்களே போய் உங்களுக்கு அகப்படுகிற இடங்களில் வைக்கோல் சம்பாதியுங்கள்; ஆனாலும் உங்கள் வேலையில் ஒன்றும் குறைக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்று பார்வோன் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றார்கள்.

Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

அப்பொழுது வைக்கோலுக்குப் பதிலாகத் தாளடிகளைச் சேர்க்கும்படி ஜனங்கள் எகிப்துதேசம் எங்கும் சிதறிப்போனார்கள்.

So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

ஆளோட்டிகள் அவர்களை நோக்கி: வைக்கோலிருந்த நாளில் செய்தபடியே உங்கள் வேலைகளை ஒவ்வொரு நாளிலும் செய்து முடியுங்கள் என்று சொல்லி, அவர்களைத் துரிதப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

பார்வோனுடைய ஆளோட்டிகள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர்மேல் வைத்த அவர்களுடைய தலைவர்களை நோக்கி: செங்கல் வேலையில் நீங்கள் முன்செய்ததுபோல நேற்றும் இன்றும் ஏன் செய்யவில்லை என்று கேட்டு, அவர்களை அடித்தார்கள்.

And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் தலைவர் பார்வோனிடத்தில் போய்ச் சத்தமிட்டு: உமது அடியாருக்கு நீர் இப்படிச் செய்கிறது என்ன?

Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?

உமது அடியாருக்கு வைக்கோல் கொடாதிருந்தும், செங்கல் அறுத்துத் தீரவேண்டும் என்று எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்; உம்முடைய ஜனங்களிடத்தில் குற்றம் இருக்க, உமது அடியாராகிய நாங்கள் அடிக்கப்படுகிறோம் என்றார்கள்.

There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.

அதற்கு அவன்: நீங்கள் சோம்பலாயிருக்கிறீர்கள், சோம்பலாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; அதினால்தான் போகவேண்டும், கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிடவேண்டும் என்கிறீர்கள்.

But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.

போய், வேலை செய்யுங்கள், உங்களுக்கு வைக்கோல் கொடுக்கப்படுவதில்லை; ஆனாலும் கணக்கின்படியே நீங்கள் செங்கலை ஒப்புவிக்கவேண்டும் என்றான்.

Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொரு நாளிலும் அறுத்துத் தீரவேண்டிய செங்கலிலே ஒன்றும் குறைக்கப்படாது என்று சொல்லப்பட்டதினாலே, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் தலைவர் தங்களுக்கு இக்கட்டு வந்தது என்று கண்டார்கள்.

And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

அவர்கள் பார்வோனுடைய சமுகத்தை விட்டுப் புறப்படுகையில், வழியில் நின்ற மோசேக்கும் ஆரோனுக்கும் எதிர்ப்பட்டு,

And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் பார்வோனின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் அவருடைய ஊழியக்காரரின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் எங்கள் வாசனையைக்கெடுத்து, எங்களைக் கொல்லும்படி அவர்கள் கையிலே பட்டயத்தைக் கொடுத்ததினிமித்தம், கர்த்தர் உங்களைப் பார்த்து நியாயந்தீர்க்கக்கடவர் என்றார்கள்.

And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

அப்பொழுது மோசே கர்த்தரிடத்தில் திரும்பிப்போய்: ஆண்டவரே, இந்த ஜனங்களுக்குத் தீங்குவரப்பண்ணினதென்ன? ஏன் என்னை அனுப்பினீர்?

And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?

நான் உமது நாமத்தைக்கொண்டு பேசும்படி பார்வோனிடத்தில் பிரவேசித்தது முதல் அவன் இந்த ஜனங்களை உபத்திரவப்படுத்துகிறான்; நீர் உம்முடைய ஜனங்களை விடுதலையாக்கவில்லையே என்றான்.

For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நான் பார்வோனுக்குச் செய்வதை இப்பொழுது காண்பாய்; பலத்த கையைக் கண்டு அவர்களைப் போகவிட்டு, பலத்த கையைக் கண்டு அவர்களைத் தன் தேசத்திலிருந்து துரத்திவிடுவான் என்றார்.

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Now shalt thou see what I will do to Pharaoh: for with a strong hand shall he let them go, and with a strong hand shall he drive them out of his land.

மேலும், தேவன் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நான் யேகோவா,

And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD:

சர்வல்லமையுள்ள தேவன் என்னும் நாமத்தினால் நான் ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் தரிசனமானேன்; ஆனாலும் யேகோவா என்னும் என் நாமத்தினால் நான் அவர்களுக்கு அறியப்படவில்லை.

And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.

அவர்கள் பரதேசிகளாய்த் தங்கின தேசமாகிய கானான்தேசத்தை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று நான் அவர்களோடே என் உடன்படிக்கையையும் ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கிறேன்.

And I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, wherein they were strangers.

எகிப்தியர் அடிமைகொள்ளுகிற இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் பெருமூச்சையும் நான் கேட்டு, என் உடன்படிக்கையை நினைத்தேன்.

And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.

ஆதலால், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை நோக்கி: நானே கர்த்தர்; உங்கள்மேல் எகிப்தியர் சுமத்தின சுமைகளை நீக்கி நான் உங்களை விடுவித்து, உங்களை அவர்கள் அடிமைத்தனத்திற்கு, நீங்கலாக்கி, ஓங்கிய கையினாலும், மகா தண்டனைகளினாலும் உங்களை மீட்டு,

Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:

And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் கொடுப்பேன் என்று நான் ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்தில் உங்களைக் கொண்டுபோய், அதை உங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுப்பேன்; நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல் என்றார்.

And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.

இந்தப்பிரகாரமாக மோசே இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொன்னான்; அவர்களோ மனமடிவினாலும் கொடுமையான வேலையினாலும் மோசேக்குச் செவிகொடாமற்போனார்கள்.

And Moses spake so unto the children of Israel: but they hearkened not unto Moses for anguish of spirit, and for cruel bondage.

பின்பு, கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

நீ எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனிடத்தில் போய், அவன் தன் தேசத்திலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரைப் போகவிடும்படி அவனோடே பேசு என்றார்.

Go in, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.

மோசே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில் நின்று, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கவில்லை; பார்வோன் எனக்கு எப்படிச் செவிகொடுப்பான்? நான் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத உதடுகளுள்ளவன் என்றான்.

And Moses spake before the LORD, saying, Behold, the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?

கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடும் ஆரோனோடும் பேசி, இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகும்படிக்கு, அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிடத்துக்கும் எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனிடத்துக்கும் கட்டளை கொடுத்து அனுப்பினார்.

And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, and gave them a charge unto the children of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

These be the heads of their fathers' houses: The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel; Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi: these be the families of Reuben.

சிமியோனின் குமாரர் எமுவேல், யாமின், ஓகாத், யாகீன், சோகார், கானானிய ஸ்திரீயின் குமாரனாகிய சவுல்; சிமியோனுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர் இவர்களே.

And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman: these are the families of Simeon.

உற்பத்திக்கிரமப்படி பிறந்த லேவியின் குமாரருடைய நாமங்களாவன, கெர்சோன், கோகாத், மெராரி என்பவைகள். லேவி நூற்றுமுப்பத்தேழு வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations; Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari: and the years of the life of Levi were an hundred thirty and seven years.

அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படி பிறந்த கெர்சோனின் குமாரர் லிப்னீ, சிமேயீ என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Gershon; Libni, and Shimi, according to their families.

கோகாத்தின் குமாரர் அம்ராம், இத்சேயார், எப்ரோன், ஊசியேல் என்பவர்கள்; கோகாத் நூற்றுமுப்பத்துமூன்று வருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

And the sons of Kohath; Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel: and the years of the life of Kohath were an hundred thirty and three years.

மெராரியின் குமாரர் மகேலி, மூசி என்பவர்கள்; அவரவர் சந்ததியின்படி லேவியினுடைய வம்சங்களின் தலைவர் இவர்களே.

And the sons of Merari; Mahali and Mushi: these are the families of Levi according to their generations.

And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife; and she bare him Aaron and Moses: and the years of the life of Amram were an hundred and thirty and seven years.

And the sons of Izhar; Korah, and Nepheg, and Zichri.

And the sons of Uzziel; Mishael, and Elzaphan, and Zithri.

And Aaron took him Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Naashon, to wife; and she bare him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

கோராகின் குமாரர் ஆசீர், எல்க்கானா, அபியாசாப் என்பவர்கள்; கோராகியரின் வம்சத்தலைவர் இவர்களே.

And the sons of Korah; Assir, and Elkanah, and Abiasaph: these are the families of the Korhites.

ஆரோனின் குமாரனாகிய எலெயாசார் பூத்தியேலுடைய குமாரத்திகளில் ஒருத்தியை விவாகம் பண்ணினான், அவள் அவனுக்குப் பினெகாசைப் பெற்றாள்; அவரவர் வம்சங்களின்படி லேவியருடைய பிதாக்களாகிய தலைவர் இவர்களே.

And Eleazar Aaron's son took him one of the daughters of Putiel to wife; and she bare him Phinehas: these are the heads of the fathers of the Levites according to their families.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை அணியணியாய் எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து நடத்திக்கொண்டு போவதற்குக் கர்த்தரால் கட்டளைபெற்ற ஆரோனும் மோசேயும் இவர்களே.

These are that Aaron and Moses, to whom the LORD said, Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை எகிப்திலிருந்து நடத்திக்கொண்டுபோவதற்கு, எகிப்தின் ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனோடே பேசின மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இவர்களே.

These are they which spake to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt: these are that Moses and Aaron.

கர்த்தர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே மோசேயோடே பேசின நாளில்;

And it came to pass on the day when the LORD spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt,

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நானே கர்த்தர்; நான் உன்னோடே சொல்லுகிறவைகளையெல்லாம் நீ எகிப்து ராஜாவாகிய பார்வோனுக்குச் சொல் என்று சொன்னபோது,

That the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee.

மோசே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதானத்தில்: நான் விருத்தசேதனமில்லாத உதடுகளுள்ளவன்; பார்வோன் எனக்கு எப்படிச் செவிகொடுப்பான் என்றான்.

And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?

மாற்கு அத்தியாயம் 1

தேவனுடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சுவிசேஷத்தின் ஆரம்பம்.

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

இதோ, நான் என் தூதனை உமக்கு முன்பாக அனுப்புகிறேன், அவன் உமக்கு முன்னே போய், உமக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தம்பண்ணுவான் என்றும்;

As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

கர்த்தருக்கு வழியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள், அவருக்குப் பாதைகளைச் செவ்வைபண்ணுங்கள் என்று வனாந்தரத்திலே கூப்பிடுகிறவனுடைய சத்தம் உண்டாகும் என்றும், தீர்க்கதரிசன ஆகமங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிற பிரகாரமாய்;

The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

யோவான் வனாந்தரத்தில் ஞானஸ்நானங்கொடுத்து, பாவமன்னிப்புக்கென்று மனந்திரும்புதலுக்கேற்ற ஞானஸ்நானத்தைக்குறித்துப் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.

John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins.

அப்பொழுது யூதேயா தேசத்தார் அனைவரும் எருசலேம் நகரத்தார் யாவரும், அவனிடத்திற்குப்போய், தங்கள் பாவங்களை அறிக்கையிட்டு, யோர்தான் நதியில் அவனால் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்கள்.

And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

யோவான் ஒட்டகமயிர் உடையைத்தரித்து, தன் அரையில் வார்க்கச்சையைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டவனாயும், வெட்டுக்கிளியையும் காட்டுத்தேனையும் புசிக்கிறவனாயும் இருந்தான்.

And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey;

அவன்: என்னிலும் வல்லவர் ஒருவர் எனக்குப்பின் வருகிறார், அவருடைய பாதரட்சைகளின் வாரைக் குனிந்து அவிழ்க்கிறதற்கும் நான் பாத்திரன் அல்ல.

And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose.

நான் ஜலத்தினால் உங்களுக்கு ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுத்தேன்; அவரோ பரிசுத்த ஆவியினால் உங்களுக்கு ஞானஸ்நானம் கொடுப்பார் என்று பிரசங்கித்தான்.

I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.

அந்த நாட்களில், இயேசு கலிலேயாவிலுள்ள நாசரேத்தூரிலிருந்து வந்து, யோர்தான் நதியில் யோவானால் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெற்றார்.

And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.

அவர் ஜலத்திலிருந்து கரையேறினவுடனே, வானம் திறக்கப்பட்டதையும், ஆவியானவர் புறாவைப்போல் தம்மேல் இறங்குகிறதையும் கண்டார்.

And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:

அன்றியும், நீர் என்னுடைய நேசகுமாரன், உம்மில் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறேன் என்று, வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு சத்தம் உண்டாயிற்று.

And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

உடனே ஆவியானவர் அவரை வனாந்தரத்திற்குப் போகும்படி ஏவினார்.

And immediately the Spirit driveth him into the wilderness.

அவர் வனாந்தரத்திலே நாற்பதுநாள் இருந்து, சாத்தானால் சோதிக்கப்பட்டு, அங்கே காட்டுமிருகங்களின் நடுவிலே சஞ்சரித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார். தேவதூதர்கள் அவருக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்தார்கள்.

And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

யோவான் காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்ட பின்பு, இயேசு கலிலேயாவிலே வந்து, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தின் சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பிரசங்கித்து:

Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

காலம் நிறைவேறிற்று, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் சமீபமாயிற்று; மனந்திரும்பி, சுவிசேஷத்தை விசுவாசியுங்கள் என்றார்.

And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

அவர் கலிலேயாக் கடலோரமாய் நடந்துபோகையில், மீன்பிடிக்கிறவர்களாயிருந்த சீமோனும், அவன் சகோதரன் அந்திரேயாவும் கடலில் வலைபோட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறபோது அவர்களைக் கண்டார்.

Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

இயேசு அவர்களை நோக்கி: என் பின்னே வாருங்கள், உங்களை மனுஷரைப் பிடிக்கிறவர்களாக்குவேன் என்றார்.

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.

அவர் அவ்விடம் விட்டுச் சற்று அப்புறம் போனபோது, செபெதேயுவின் குமாரன் யாக்கோபும் அவன் சகோதரன் யோவானும் படவிலே வலைகளைப் பழுதுபார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறதைக் கண்டு,

And when he had gone a little further thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets.

உடனே அவர்களையும் அழைத்தார்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் தங்கள் தகப்பனாகிய செபெதேயுவைக் கூலியாட்களோடு படவிலே விட்டு, அவருக்குப் பின்சென்றார்கள்.

And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the ship with the hired servants, and went after him.

பின்பு கப்பர்நகூமுக்குப் போனார்கள். உடனே அவர் ஓய்வுநாளிலே ஜெபஆலயத்திலே பிரவேசித்து, போதகம்பண்ணினார்.

And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught.

அவர் வேதபாரகரைப்போலப் போதியாமல், அதிகாரமுடையவராய் அவர்களுக்குப் போதித்தபடியினால் அவருடைய போதகத்தைக்குறித்து ஜனங்கள் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள்.

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes.

அவர்களுடைய ஜெபஆலயத்திலே அசுத்த ஆவியுள்ள ஒரு மனுஷன் இருந்தான்.

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

அவன்: ஐயோ! நசரேயனாகிய இயேசுவே, எங்களுக்கும் உமக்கும் என்ன? எங்களைக் கெடுக்கவா வந்தீர்? உம்மை இன்னார் என்று அறிவேன், நீர் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்தர் என்று சத்தமிட்டான்.

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

அதற்கு இயேசு: நீ பேசாமல் இவனைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டுப்போ என்று அதை அதட்டினார்.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

உடனே அந்த அசுத்த ஆவி அவனை அலைக்கழித்து, மிகுந்த சத்தமிட்டு, அவனைவிட்டுப் போய்விட்டது.

And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him.

எல்லாரும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: இது என்ன? இந்தப் புதிய உபதேசம் எப்படிப்பட்டது? இவர் அதிகாரத்தோடே அசுத்த ஆவிகளுக்கும் கட்டளையிடுகிறார், அவைகள் இவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதே என்று தங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.

அதுமுதல் அவருடைய கீர்த்தி கலிலேயா நாடெங்கும் பிரசித்தமாயிற்று.

And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout all the region round about Galilee.

உடனே அவர்கள் ஜெபஆலயத்தை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, யாக்கோபோடும் யோவானோடுங்கூட, சீமோன் அந்திரேயா என்பவர்களுடைய வீட்டில் பிரவேசித்தார்கள்.

And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

அங்கே சீமோனுடைய மாமி ஜூரமாய்க் கிடந்தாள்; உடனே அவர்கள் அவளைக்குறித்து அவருக்குச் சொன்னார்கள்.

But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.

அவர் கிட்டப்போய், அவள் கையைப் பிடித்து, அவளைத் தூக்கிவிட்டார்; உடனே ஜூரம் அவளை விட்டு நீங்கிற்று; அப்பொழுது அவள் அவர்களுக்குப் பணிவிடைசெய்தாள்.

And he came and took her by the hand, and lifted her up; and immediately the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

சாயங்காலமாகிச் சூரியன் அஸ்தமித்தபோது, சகல பிணியாளிகளையும், பிசாசுபிடித்தவர்களையும், அவரிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.

பட்டணத்தார் எல்லாரும் வீட்டுவாசலுக்கு முன்பாகக் கூடிவந்தார்கள்.

And all the city was gathered together at the door.

பலவிதமான வியாதிகளினால் உபத்திரவப்பட்டிருந்த அநேகரை அவர் சொஸ்தமாக்கி, அநேகம் பிசாசுகளையும் துரத்திவிட்டார்; அந்தப் பிசாசுகள் தம்மை அறிந்திருந்தபடியால், அவைகள் பேசுகிறதற்கு அவர் இடங்கொடுக்கவில்லை.

And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

அவர் அதிகாலையில், இருட்டோடே எழுந்து புறப்பட்டு, வனாந்தரமான ஓரிடத்திற்குப்போய், அங்கே ஜெபம்பண்ணினார்.

And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.

And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.

அவரைக் கண்டபோது: உம்மை எல்லாரும் தேடுகிறார்கள் என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.

அவர்களை அவர் நோக்கி: அடுத்த ஊர்களிலும் நான் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணவேண்டுமாதலால், அவ்விடங்களுக்குப் போவோம் வாருங்கள்; இதற்காகவே புறப்பட்டுவந்தேன் என்று சொல்லி;

And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.

கலிலேயா நாடெங்கும் அவர்களுடைய ஜெபஆலயங்களில் அவர் பிரசங்கம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டும், பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்திக்கொண்டும் இருந்தார்.

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.

அப்பொழுது குஷ்டரோகி ஒருவன் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, அவர் முன்பாக முழங்கால்படியிட்டு: உமக்குச் சித்தமானால் என்னைச் சுத்தமாக்க உம்மால் ஆகும் என்று வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்.

And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.

இயேசு மனதுருகி, கையை நீட்டி, அவனைத் தொட்டு: எனக்குச் சித்தமுண்டு, சுத்தமாகு என்றார்.

And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean.

இப்படி அவர் சொன்னவுடனே, குஷ்டரோகம் அவனைவிட்டு நீங்கிற்று, அவன் சுத்தமானான்.

And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed.

அப்பொழுது அவர் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ இதை ஒருவருக்கும் சொல்லாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு;

And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away;

ஆயினும் நீ போய், ஆசாரியனுக்கு உன்னைக் காண்பித்து, நீ சுத்தமானதினிமித்தம், மோசே கட்டளையிட்டிருக்கிறவைகளை அவர்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாகச் செலுத்து என்று கண்டிப்பாய்ச் சொல்லி, உடனே அவனை அனுப்பிவிட்டார்.

And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

அவனோ புறப்பட்டுப்போய்; இந்தச் சங்கதி எங்கும் விளங்கும்படியாகப் பிரசித்தம் பண்ணத்தொடங்கினான். அதினால் அவர் வெளியரங்கமாய்ப் பட்டணத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கக்கூடாமல், வெளியே வனாந்தரமான இடங்களில் தங்கியிருந்தார்; எத்திசையிலுமிருந்து ஜனங்கள் அவரிடத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள்.
