சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 109

நான் துதிக்கும் தேவனே, மவுனமாயிராதேயும்.

Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise;

துன்மார்க்கனுடைய வாயும், கபட்டுவாயும், எனக்கு விரோதமாய்த் திறந்திருக்கிறது; கள்ளநாவினால் என்னோடே பேசுகிறார்கள்.

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue.

பகையுண்டாக்கும் வார்த்தைகளால் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு, முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னோடே போர்செய்கிறார்கள்.

They compassed me about also with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

என் சிநேகத்துக்குப் பதிலாக என்னை விரோதிக்கிறார்கள், நானோ ஜெபம் பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.

For my love they are my adversaries: but I give myself unto prayer.

நன்மைக்குப் பதிலாக எனக்குத் தீமைசெய்கிறார்கள், என் சிநேகத்துக்குப் பதிலாக என்னைப் பகைக்கிறார்கள்.

And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

அவனுக்கு மேலாகத் துஷ்டனை ஏற்படுத்திவையும், சாத்தான் அவன் வலதுபக்கத்தில் நிற்பானாக.

Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand.

அவன் நியாயம் விசாரிக்கப்படும்போது குற்றவாளியாகக்கடவன்; அவன் ஜெபம் பாவமாகக்கடவது.

When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

அவன் நாட்கள் கொஞ்சமாகக்கடவது; அவன் உத்தியோகத்தை வேறொருவன் பெறக்கடவன்.

Let his days be few; and let another take his office.

அவன் பிள்ளைகள் திக்கற்றவர்களும், அவன் மனைவி விதவையுமாகக்கடவர்கள்.

Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

அவன் பிள்ளைகள் அலைந்து திரிந்து பிச்சையெடுத்து, தங்கள் பாழான வீடுகளிலிருந்து இரந்துண்ணக்கடவர்கள்.

Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.

கடன் கொடுத்தவன் அவனுக்கு உள்ளதெல்லாவற்றையும் அபகரித்துக்கொள்வானாக; அவன் பிரயாசத்தின் பலனை அந்நியர் பறித்துக்கொள்ளக்கடவர்கள்.

Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; and let the strangers spoil his labour.

அவனுக்கு ஒருவரும் இரக்கங்காண்பியாமலும், அவனுடைய திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளுக்குத் தயவு செய்யாமலும்போவார்களாக.

Let there be none to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour his fatherless children.

அவன் சந்ததியார் நிர்மூலமாகக்கடவர்கள்; இரண்டாந்தலைமுறையில் அவர்கள் பேர் அற்றுப்போவதாக.

Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name be blotted out.

அவன் பிதாக்களின் அக்கிரமம் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நினைக்கப்படக்கடவது, அவன் தாயின் பாவம் நீங்காமலிருப்பதாக.

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

அவைகள் நித்தமும் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கக்கடவது; அவர்கள் பேர் பூமியிலிராமல் நிர்மூலமாவதாக.

Let them be before the LORD continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth.

அவன் தயைசெய்ய நினையாமல், சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவனைத் துன்பப்படுத்தி, மனமுறிவுள்ளவனைக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி தேடினானே.

Because that he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart.

சாபத்தை விரும்பினான், அது அவனுக்கு வரும்; அவன் ஆசீர்வாதத்தை விரும்பாமற்போனான், அது அவனுக்குத் தூரமாய் விலகிப்போகும்.

As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him.

சாபத்தை அவன் தனக்கு அங்கியாக உடுத்திக்கொண்டான்; அது அவன் உள்ளத்தில் தண்ணீரைப்போலவும், அவன் எலும்புகளில் எண்ணெயைப்போலவும் பாயும்.

As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones.

அது அவன் மூடிக்கொள்ளுகிற வஸ்திரமாகவும், நித்தமும் கட்டிக்கொள்ளுகிற கச்சையாகவும் இருப்பதாக.

Let it be unto him as the garment which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

இதுதான் என்னை விரோதிக்கிறவர்களுக்கும், என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் தீங்கு பேசுகிறவர்களுக்கும் கர்த்தரால் வரும் பலன்.

Let this be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, நீர் உமது நாமத்தினிமித்தம் என்னை ஆதரித்து, உமது கிருபை நலமானதினால், என்னை விடுவித்தருளும்.

But do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy is good, deliver thou me.

நான் சிறுமையும் எளிமையுமானவன், என் இருதயம் எனக்குள் குத்துண்டிருக்கிறது.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

சாயும் நிழலைப்போல் அகன்றுபோனேன்; வெட்டுக்கிளியைப்போல் பறக்கடிக்கப்படுகிறேன்.

I am gone like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed up and down as the locust.

உபவாசத்தினால் என் முழங்கால்கள் தளர்ச்சியடைகிறது; என் மாம்சம் புஷ்டியற்று உலர்ந்து போகிறது.

My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh faileth of fatness.

நான் அவர்களுக்கு நிந்தையானேன்; அவர்கள் என்னைப் பார்த்து, தங்கள் தலையைத் துலுக்குகிறார்கள்.

I became also a reproach unto them: when they looked upon me they shaked their heads.

என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே எனக்குச் சகாயம்பண்ணும்; உமது கிருபையின்படி என்னை இரட்சியும்.

Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

இது உமது கரம் என்றும், கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீர் இதைச் செய்தீர் என்றும், அவர்கள் அறிவார்களாக.

That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it.

அவர்கள் சபித்தாலும், நீர் ஆசீர்வதியும்; அவர்கள் எழும்பினாலும் வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போவார்களாக; உமது அடியானோ மகிழக்கடவன்.

Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.

என் விரோதிகள் இலச்சையால் மூடப்பட்டு, தங்கள் வெட்கத்தைச் சால்வையைப்போல் தரித்துக்கொள்ளக்கடவர்கள்.

Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.

கர்த்தரை நான் என் வாயினால் மிகவும் துதித்து, அநேகர் நடுவிலே அவரைப் புகழுவேன்.

I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளாகத் தீர்க்கிறவர்களினின்று எளியவனுடைய ஆத்துமாவை இரட்சிக்கும்படி அவர் அவன் வலதுபாரிசத்தில் நிற்பார்.

For he shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those that condemn his soul.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 110

கர்த்தர் என் ஆண்டவரை நோக்கி: நான் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களை உமக்குப் பாதபடியாக்கிப் போடும்வரைக்கும், நீர் என்னுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் உட்காரும் என்றார்.

The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

கர்த்தர் சீயோனிலிருந்து உமது வல்லமையின் செங்கோலை அனுப்புவார்; நீர் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களின் நடுவே ஆளுகைசெய்யும்.

The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

உமது பராக்கிரமத்தின் நாளிலே உம்முடைய ஜனங்கள் மனப்பூர்வமும் பரிசுத்த அலங்காரமுமுள்ளவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள்; விடியற்காலத்துக் கர்ப்பத்தில் பிறக்கும் பனிக்குச் சமானமாய் உம்முடைய யெளவன ஜனம் உமக்குப் பிறக்கும்.

Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

நீர் மெல்கிசேதேக்கின் முறைமையின்படி என்றென்றைக்கும் ஆசாரியராயிருக்கிறீர் என்று கர்த்தர் ஆணையிட்டார்; மனம் மாறாமலுமிருப்பார்.

The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

உம்முடைய வலதுபாரிசத்திலிருக்கிற ஆண்டவர், தமது கோபத்தின் நாளிலே ராஜாக்களை வெட்டுவார்.

The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.

அவர் ஜாதிகளுக்குள் நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார்; எல்லா இடங்களையும் பிரேதங்களால் நிரப்புவார்; விஸ்தாரமான தேசங்களின்மேல் தலைவர்களாயிருக்கிறவர்களை நொறுக்கிப்போடுவார்.

He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.

வழியிலே அவர் நதியில் குடிப்பார்; ஆகையால் அவர் தமது தலையை எடுப்பார்.

He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 111

அல்லேலூயா, செம்மையானவர்களுடைய சங்கத்திலும் சபையிலும் கர்த்தரை முழு இருதயத்தோடும் துதிப்பேன்.

Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.

கர்த்தரின் செய்கைகள் பெரியவைகளும், அவைகளில் பிரியப்படுகிற எல்லாராலும் ஆராயப்படுகிறவைகளுமாயிருக்கிறது.

The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

அவருடைய செயல் மகிமையும் மகத்துவமுமுள்ளது, அவருடைய நீதி என்றென்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்.

His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

அவர் தம்முடைய அதிசயமான செய்கைகளை நினைவுகூரும்படி செய்தார், கர்த்தர் இரக்கமும் மனவுருக்கமுமுள்ளவர்.

He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

தமக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்கு ஆகாரம் கொடுத்தார்; தமது உடன்படிக்கையை என்றென்றைக்கும் நினைப்பார்.

He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.

ஜாதிகளின் சுதந்தரத்தைத் தமது ஜனங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்ததினால், தமது கிரியைகளின் பெலத்தை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தினார்.

He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.

அவருடைய கரத்தின் கிரியைகள் சத்தியமும் நியாயமுமானவைகள்; அவருடைய கட்டளைகளெல்லாம் உண்மையானவைகள்.

The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.

அவைகள் என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதாகாலங்களுக்கும் உறுதியானவைகள், அவைகள் உண்மையும் செம்மையுமாய்ச் செய்யப்பட்டவைகள்.

They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

அவர் தமது ஜனத்திற்கு மீட்பை அனுப்பி, தமது உடன்படிக்கையை நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாகக் கட்டளையிட்டார்; அவருடைய நாமம் பரிசுத்தமும் பயங்கரமுமானது.

He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுதலே ஞானத்தின் ஆரம்பம்; அவருடைய கற்பனைகளின்படி செய்கிற யாவருக்கும் நற்புத்தியுண்டு; அவர் புகழ்ச்சி என்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 112

அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்து, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளில் மிகவும் பிரியமாயிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்.

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

அவன் சந்ததி பூமியில் பலத்திருக்கும், செம்மையானவர்களின் வம்சம் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படும்.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

ஆஸ்தியும் ஐசுவரியமும் அவன் வீட்டிலிருக்கும்; அவனுடைய நீதி என்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

செம்மையானவர்களுக்கு இருளிலே வெளிச்சம் உதிக்கும்; அவன் இரக்கமும் மனவுருக்கமும் நீதியுமுள்ளவன்.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

இரங்கிக் கடன்கொடுத்து, தன் காரியங்களை நியாயமானபடி நடப்பிக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்.

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

அவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் அசைக்கப்படாதிருப்பான்; நீதிமான் நித்திய கீர்த்தியுள்ளவன்.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

துர்ச்செய்தியைக் கேட்கிறதினால் பயப்படான்; அவன் இருதயம் கர்த்தரை நம்பித் திடனாயிருக்கும்.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

அவன் இருதயம் உறுதியாயிருக்கும்; அவன் தன் சத்துருக்களில் சரிக்கட்டுதலைக் காணுமட்டும் பயப்படாதிருப்பான்.

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

வாரியிறைத்தான், ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடுத்தான், அவனுடைய நீதி என்றென்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்; அவன் கொம்பு மகிமையாய் உயர்த்தப்படும்.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

துன்மார்க்கன் அதைக் கண்டு மனமடிவாகி, தன் பற்களைக் கடித்துக் கரைந்துபோவான்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய ஆசை அழியும்.

The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 113

அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தருடைய ஊழியக்காரரே, துதியுங்கள்; கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் துதியுங்கள்.

Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.

இதுமுதல் என்றென்றைக்கும் கர்த்தருடைய நாமம் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்படக்கடவது.

Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.

சூரியன் உதிக்கும் திசைதொடங்கி அது அஸ்தமிக்கும் திசைமட்டும் கர்த்தருடைய நாமம் துதிக்கப்படுவதாக.

From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.

கர்த்தர் எல்லா ஜாதிகள்மேலும் உயர்ந்தவர்; அவருடைய மகிமை வானங்களுக்கு மேலானது.

The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.

உன்னதங்களில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குச் சமானமானவர் யார்?

Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,

அவர் வானத்திலும் பூமியிலுமுள்ளவைகளைப் பார்க்கும்படி தம்மைத் தாழ்த்துகிறார்.

Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

அவர் சிறியவனைப் புழுதியிலிருந்து தூக்கிவிடுகிறார்; எளியவனைக் குப்பையிலிருந்து உயர்த்துகிறார்.

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;

அவனைப் பிரபுக்களோடும், தமது ஜனத்தின் அதிபதிகளோடும் உட்காரப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

மலடியைச் சந்தோஷமான பிள்ளைத்தாய்ச்சியாக்கி, வீட்டிலே குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணுகிறார். அல்லேலூயா.

He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 114

இஸ்ரவேல் எகிப்திலும், யாக்கோபின் குடும்பம் அந்நிய பாஷைக்காரரான ஜனத்திலுமிருந்து புறப்பட்டபோது,

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

யூதா அவருக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தானமும், இஸ்ரவேல் அவருக்கு இராஜ்யமுமாயிற்று.

Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

கடல் கண்டு விலகி ஓடிற்று; யோர்தான் பின்னிட்டுத் திரும்பினது.

The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

மலைகள் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களைப்போலவும், குன்றுகள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப்போலவும் துள்ளினது.

The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

கடலே, நீ விலகியோடுகிறதற்கும்; யோர்தானே, நீ பின்னிட்டுத் திரும்புகிறதற்கும்;

What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

மலைகளே, நீங்கள் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களைப்போலவும்; குன்றுகளே, நீங்கள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப்போலவும் துள்ளுகிறதற்கும், உங்களுக்கு என்ன வந்தது?

Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

பூமியே, நீ ஆண்டவருக்கு முன்பாகவும், யாக்கோபுடைய தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகவும் அதிரு.

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

அவர் கன்மலையைத் தண்ணீர்த் தடாகமாகவும், கற்பாறையை நீரூற்றுகளாகவும் மாற்றுகிறார்.

Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 115

எங்களுக்கு அல்ல, கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்கு அல்ல, உமது கிருபையினிமித்தமும், உமது சத்தியத்தினிமித்தமும், உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கே மகிமை வரப்பண்ணும்.

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

அவர்களுடைய தேவன் இப்பொழுது எங்கே என்று புறஜாதிகள் சொல்வானேன்?

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?

நம்முடைய தேவன் பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிறார்; தமக்குச் சித்தமான யாவையும் செய்கிறார்.

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.

அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்கள் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும், மனுஷருடைய கைவேலையுமாயிருக்கிறது.

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

அவைகளுக்கு வாயிருந்தும் பேசாது; அவைகளுக்குக் கண்களிருந்தும் காணாது.

They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:

அவைகளுக்குக் காதுகளிருந்தும் கேளாது; அவைகளுக்கு மூக்கிருந்தும் முகராது.

They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:

அவைகளுக்குக் கைகளிருந்தும் தொடாது; அவைகளுக்குக் கால்களிருந்தும் நடவாது; தங்கள் தொண்டையால் சத்தமிடவும் மாட்டாது.

They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.

அவைகளைப் பண்ணுகிறவர்களும், அவைகளை நம்புகிறவர்கள் யாவரும், அவைகளைப்போலவே இருக்கிறார்கள்.

They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.

இஸ்ரவேலே, கர்த்தரை நம்பு; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

O Israel, trust thou in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள்; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களே, கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள்; அவரே அவர்களுக்குத் துணையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கேடகமுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

கர்த்தர் நம்மை நினைத்திருக்கிறார், அவர் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்; இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார், அவர் ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரை ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பெரியோரையும் சிறியோரையும் ஆசீர்வதிப்பார்.

He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great.

கர்த்தர் உங்களையும் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் வர்த்திக்கப்பண்ணுவார்.

The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் படைத்த கர்த்தராலே நீங்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள்.

Ye are blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth.

வானங்கள் கர்த்தருடையவைகள்; பூமியையோ மனுபுத்திரருக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

மரித்தவர்களும் மவுனத்தில் இறங்குகிற அனைவரும் கர்த்தரைத் துதியார்கள்.

The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.

நாமோ, இதுமுதல் என்றென்றைக்கும் கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரிப்போம். அல்லேலூயா.

But we will bless the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the LORD.

லூக்கா அத்தியாயம் 17

பின்பு அவர் தம்முடைய சீஷர்களை நோக்கி: இடறல்கள் வராமல்போவது கூடாதகாரியம், ஆகிலும் அவைகள் எவனால் வருகிறதோ, அவனுக்கு ஐயோ!

Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

அவன் இந்தச் சிறுவரில் ஒருவனுக்கு இடறலுண்டாக்குகிறதைப் பார்க்கிலும், அவனுடைய கழுத்தில் ஏந்திரக்கல் கட்டப்பட்டு, அவன் சமுத்திரத்தில் தள்ளுண்டுபோவது அவனுக்கு நலமாயிருக்கும்.

It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

உங்களைக்குறித்து எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள். உன் சகோதரன் உனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் குற்றஞ்செய்தால், அவனைக் கடிந்துகொள்; அவன் மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டால், அவனுக்கு மன்னிப்பாயாக.

Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

அவன் ஒருநாளில் ஏழுதரம் உனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் குற்றஞ்செய்து, ஏழுதரமும் உன்னிடத்தில் வந்து: நான் மனஸ்தாபப்படுகிறேன் என்று சொன்னால், அவனுக்கு மன்னிப்பாயாக என்றார்.

And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.

அப்பொழுது அப்போஸ்தலர் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: எங்கள் விசுவாசத்தை வர்த்திக்கப்பண்ணவேண்டும் என்றார்கள்.

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.

அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: கடுகுவிதையளவு விசுவாசம் உங்களுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்தால், நீங்கள் இந்தக் காட்டத்திமரத்தை நோக்கி: நீ வேரோடே பிடுங்குண்டு கடலிலே நடப்படுவாயாக என்று சொல்ல, அது உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியும்.

And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

உங்களில் ஒருவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரன் உழுது அல்லது மந்தைமேய்த்து வயலிலிருந்து வரும்போது, எஜமான் அவனை நோக்கி: நீ முன்பு போய்ச் சாப்பிட்டுவா என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்வானோ?

But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat?

நீ எனக்குச் சாப்பாடு ஆயத்தம்பண்ணி, அரைகட்டிக்கொண்டு, நான் போஜனபானம்பண்ணுமளவும் எனக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய், அதற்குப்பின் நீ புசித்துக்குடிக்கலாம் என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்லுவானல்லவா?

And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?

தான் கட்டளையிட்டவைகளை அந்த வேலைக்காரன் செய்ததற்காக அவனுக்கு உபசாரஞ்செய்வானோ? அப்படிச் செய்யமாட்டானே.

Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not.

அப்படியே நீங்களும் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடப்பட்ட யாவற்றையும் செய்த பின்பு: நாங்கள் அப்பிரயோஜனமான ஊழியக்காரர், செய்யவேண்டிய கடமையைமாத்திரம் செய்தோம் என்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றார்.

So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.

பின்பு அவர் எருசலேமுக்குப் பிரயாணம்பண்ணுகையில், அவர் சமாரியா கலிலேயா என்னும் நாடுகளின் வழியாக நடந்துபோனார்.

And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

அவர் ஒரு கிராமத்தில் பிரவேசித்தபோது, குஷ்டரோகமுள்ள மனுஷர் பத்துப்பேர் அவருக்கு எதிராக வந்து, தூரத்திலே நின்று:

And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

இயேசு ஐயரே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் என்று சத்தமிட்டார்கள்.

And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

அவர்களை அவர் பார்த்து: நீங்கள் போய், ஆசாரியர்களுக்கு உங்களைக் காண்பியுங்கள் என்றார். அந்தப்படி அவர்கள் போகையில் சுத்தமானார்கள்.

And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

அவர்களில் ஒருவன் தான் ஆரோக்கியமானதைக் கண்டு, திரும்பிவந்து, உரத்த சத்தத்தோடே தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தி,

And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

அவருடைய பாதத்தருகே முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து, அவருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரஞ்செலுத்தினான்; அவன் சமாரியனாயிருந்தான்.

And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

அப்பொழுது இயேசு: சுத்தமானவர்கள் பத்துப்பேர் அல்லவா, மற்ற ஒன்பதுபேர் எங்கே?

And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்துகிறதற்கு, இந்த அந்நியனே ஒழிய மற்றொருவனும் திரும்பிவரக்காணோமே என்று சொல்லி,

There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

அவனை நோக்கி: நீ எழுந்துபோ, உன் விசுவாசம் உன்னை இரட்சித்தது என்றார்.

And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் எப்பொழுது வருமென்று, பரிசேயர் அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டபொழுது, அவர்களுக்கு அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் பிரத்தியட்சமாய் வராது.

And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

இதோ, இங்கே என்றும், அதோ, அங்கே என்றும் சொல்லப்படுகிறதற்கும் ஏதுவிராது; இதோ, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்களுக்குள் இருக்கிறதே என்றார்.

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

பின்பு அவர் சீஷர்களை நோக்கி: மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய நாட்களிலொன்றைக் காணவேண்டுமென்று நீங்கள் ஆசைப்படுங்காலம் வரும்; ஆனாலும் அதைக் காணமாட்டீர்கள்.

And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.

இதோ, இங்கே என்றும், அதோ, அங்கே என்றும், சிலர் உங்களிடத்தில் சொல்லுவார்கள்; நீங்களோ போகாமலும் பின்தொடராமலும் இருங்கள்.

And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

மின்னல் வானத்தின் ஒரு திசையில் தோன்றி மறுதிசைவரைக்கும் பிரகாசிக்கிறதுபோல மனுஷகுமாரனும் தம்முடைய நாளிலே தோன்றுவார்.

For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

அதற்கு முன்பு அவர் அநேகம் பாடுபட்டு, இந்தச் சந்ததியினால் ஆகாதவனென்று தள்ளப்படவேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறது.

But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

நோவாவின் நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோல மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய நாட்களிலும் நடக்கும்.

And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

நோவா பேழைக்குள் பிரவேசித்த நாள்வரைக்கும் ஜனங்கள் புசித்துக் குடித்தார்கள், பெண்கொண்டு கொடுத்தார்கள்; ஜலப்பிரளயம் வந்து எல்லாரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டது.

They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

லோத்தினுடைய நாட்களில் நடந்ததுபோலவும் நடக்கும்; ஜனங்கள் புசித்தார்கள், குடித்தார்கள், கொண்டார்கள், விற்றார்கள், நட்டார்கள், கட்டினார்கள்.

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

லோத்து சோதோமை விட்டுப் புறப்பட்ட நாளிலே வானத்திலிருந்து அக்கினியும் கந்தகமும் வருஷித்து, எல்லாரையும் அழித்துப்போட்டது.

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

மனுஷகுமாரன் வெளிப்படும் நாளிலும் அப்படியே நடக்கும்.

Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

அந்த நாளிலே வீட்டின்மேலிருப்பவன் வீட்டிலுள்ள தன் பண்டங்களை எடுத்துக்கொண்டுபோக இறங்காமல் இருக்கக்கடவன்; அப்படியே வயலிலிருக்கிறவன் பின்னிட்டுத் திரும்பாமலும் இருக்கக்கடவன்.

In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.

லோத்தின் மனைவியை நினைத்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Remember Lot's wife.

தன் ஜீவனை இரட்சிக்க வகைதேடுகிறவன் அதை இழந்து போவான்; இழந்துபோகிறவன் அதை உயிர்ப்பித்துக் கொள்ளுவான்.

Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

அந்த இராத்திரியில் ஒரே படுக்கையில் படுத்திருக்கிற இரண்டுபேரில் ஒருவன் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுவான், மற்றவன் கைவிடப்படுவான்.

I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.

திரிகை திரிக்கிற இரண்டு ஸ்திரீகளில் ஒருத்தி ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுவாள், மற்றவள் கைவிடப்படுவாள்.

Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

வயலிலிருக்கிற இரண்டுபேரில் ஒருவன் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்படுவான், மற்றவன் கைவிடப்படுவான் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

அவர்கள் அவருக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: எங்கே, ஆண்டவரே, என்றார்கள். அதற்கு அவர்: பிணம் எங்கேயோ அங்கே கழுகுகள் வந்து கூடும் என்றார்.

And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
