சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 78

என் ஜனங்களே, என் உபதேசத்தைக் கேளுங்கள்; என் வாயின் வசனங்களுக்கு உங்கள் செவிகளைச் சாயுங்கள்.

Give ear, O my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

என் வாயை உவமைகளால் திறப்பேன்; பூர்வகாலத்து மறைபொருள்களை வெளிப்படுத்துவேன்.

I will open my mouth in a parable: I will utter dark sayings of old:

அவைகளை நாங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டு அறிந்தோம்; எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் அவைகளை எங்களுக்குத் தெரிவித்தார்கள்.

Which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us.

பின்வரும் சந்ததியான பிள்ளைகளுக்கு நாங்கள் அவைகளை மறைக்காமல், கர்த்தரின் துதிகளையும் அவருடைய பலத்தையும், அவர் செய்த அவருடைய அதியங்களையும் விவரிப்போம்.

We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.

அவர் யாக்கோபிலே சாட்சியை ஏற்படுத்தி, இஸ்ரவேலிலே வேதத்தை ஸ்தாபித்து, அவைகளைத் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு அறிவிக்கும்படி நம்முடைய பிதாக்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.

For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children:

இனிப் பிறக்கும் பிள்ளைகளாகிய பின்சந்ததியார் அதை அறிந்துகொண்டு, அவர்கள் எழும்பித் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கு அவைகளைச் சொல்லும்படிக்கும்;

That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children:

தேவன்மேல் அவர்கள் தங்கள் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்து, தேவனுடைய செயல்களை மறவாமல், அவர் கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கும்;

That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:

இருதயத்தைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்தாமலும், தேவனை உறுதியாய்ப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருந்த முரட்டாட்டமும் கலகமுமுள்ள சந்ததியாகிய தங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்கு அவர்கள் ஒப்பாகாதபடிக்கும், இவைகளைக் கட்டளையிட்டார்.

And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.

ஆயுதமணிந்த வில்வீரரான எப்பிராயீம் புத்திரர் யுத்தநாளிலே முதுகு காட்டினார்கள்.

The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle.

அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய உடன்படிக்கையைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமலும், அவருடைய கட்டளைகளின்படி நடக்கச் சம்மதியாமலும்,

They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law;

அவருடைய செயல்களையும், அவர் தங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்த அதிசயங்களையும் மறந்தார்கள்.

And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them.

அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களுக்கு முன்பாக, எகிப்து தேசத்துச் சோவான் வெளியிலே, அவர் அதிசயமானவைகளைச் செய்தார்.

Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

கடலைப் பிளந்து, அவர்களைக் கடக்கப்பண்ணி, ஜலத்தைக் குவியலாக நிற்கும்படிச்செய்தார்.

He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and he made the waters to stand as an heap.

பகலிலே மேகத்தினாலும், இராமுழுவதும் அக்கினி வெளிச்சத்தினாலும் அவர்களை வழிநடத்தினார்.

In the daytime also he led them with a cloud, and all the night with a light of fire.

வனாந்தரத்திலே கன்மலைகளைப் பிளந்து, மகா ஆழங்களிலிருந்து தண்ணீரை அவர்களுக்குக் குடிக்கக் கொடுத்தார்.

He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths.

கன்மலையிலிருந்து நீரோட்டங்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, தண்ணீரை நதிபோல ஓடிவரும்படி செய்தார்.

He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers.

என்றாலும், அவர்கள் பின்னும் அவருக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்து, வறண்ட வெளியிலே உன்னதமானவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டினார்கள்.

And they sinned yet more against him by provoking the most High in the wilderness.

தங்கள் இச்சைக்கேற்ற போஜனத்தைக்கேட்டு, தங்கள் இருதயத்தில் தேவனைப் பரீட்சைபார்த்தார்கள்.

And they tempted God in their heart by asking meat for their lust.

அவர்கள் தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பேசி: தேவன் வனாந்தரத்திலே போஜனபந்தியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தக்கூடுமோ?

Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

இதோ அவர் கன்மலையை அடித்ததினால் தண்ணீர் புறப்பட்டு, நதிகளாய்ப் புரண்டுவந்தது; அவர் அப்பத்தையும் கொடுக்கக்கூடுமோ? தம்முடைய ஜனத்திற்கு மாம்சத்தையும் ஆயத்தப்படுத்துவாரோ? என்றார்கள்.

Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?

ஆகையால் கர்த்தர் அதைக் கேட்டுக் கோபங்கொண்டார்; அவர்கள் தேவனை விசுவாசியாமலும், அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பை நம்பாமலும் போனதினால்,

Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel;

யாக்கோபுக்கு விரோதமாய் அக்கினி பற்றியெரிந்தது; இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கோபம் மூண்டது.

Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:

அவர் உயரத்திலுள்ள மேகங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டு, வானத்தின் கதவுகளைத் திறந்து,

Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven,

மன்னாவை அவர்களுக்கு ஆகாரமாக வருஷிக்கப்பண்ணி, வானத்தின் தானியத்தை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.

தூதர்களின் அப்பத்தை மனுஷன் சாப்பிட்டான்; அவர்களுக்கு ஆகாரத்தைப் பூரணமாய் அனுப்பினார்.

Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.

ஆகாசத்திலே கீழ்காற்றை வரப்பண்ணி, தம்முடைய வல்லமையினால் தென்றலையும் வீசச்செய்து,

He caused an east wind to blow in the heaven: and by his power he brought in the south wind.

மாம்சத்தைத் தூளத்தனையாயும், சிறகுள்ள பறவைகளைக் கடற்கரை மணலத்தனையாயும் வருஷிக்கப்பண்ணி,

He rained flesh also upon them as dust, and feathered fowls like as the sand of the sea:

அவைகளை அவர்கள் பாளயத்தின் நடுவிலும், அவர்கள் கூடாரங்களைச் சுற்றிலும் இறங்கப்பண்ணினார்.

And he let it fall in the midst of their camp, round about their habitations.

அவர்கள் புசித்துத் திருப்தியடைந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் இச்சித்ததை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்.

So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire;

அவர்கள் தங்கள் இச்சையை வெறுக்கவில்லை; அவர்களுடைய போஜனம் அவர்கள் வாயில் இருக்கும்போதே.

They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths,

தேவகோபம் அவர்கள்மேல் எழும்பி, அவர்களில் கொழுத்தவர்களைச் சங்கரித்து, இஸ்ரவேலில் விசேஷித்தவர்களை மடியப்பண்ணிற்று.

The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Israel.

இவையெல்லாம் நடந்தும், அவர் செய்த அதிசயங்களை அவர்கள் நம்பாமல், பின்னும் பாவஞ்செய்தார்கள்.

For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.

ஆதலால் அவர்கள் நாட்களை விருதாவிலும், அவர்கள் வருஷங்களைப் பயங்கரத்திலும் கழியப்பண்ணினார்.

Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.

அவர்களை அவர் கொல்லும்போது அவரைக்குறித்து விசாரித்து, அவர்கள் திரும்பிவந்து தேவனை அதிகாலமே தேடி;

When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.

தேவன் தங்கள் கன்மலையென்றும், உன்னதமான தேவன் தங்கள் மீட்பர் என்றும், நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்கள்.

And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.

ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் தங்கள் வாயினால் அவருக்கு இச்சகம்பேசி, தங்கள் நாவினால் அவரிடத்தில் பொய்சொன்னார்கள்.

Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.

அவர்கள் இருதயம் அவரிடத்தில் நிலைவரப்படவில்லை; அவருடைய உடன்படிக்கையில் அவர்கள் உண்மையாயிருக்கவில்லை.

For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.

அவரோ அவர்களை அழிக்காமல், இரக்கமுள்ளவராய் அவர்கள் அக்கிரமத்தை மன்னித்தார்; அவர் தமது உக்கிரம் முழுவதையும் எழுப்பாமல், அநேகந்தரம் தமது கோபத்தை விலக்கிவிட்டார்.

But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

அவர்கள் மாம்சமென்றும், திரும்பிவராமல் அகலுகிற காற்றென்றும் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்.

For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.

எத்தனைதரமோ வனாந்தரத்திலே அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டி, அவாந்தர வெளியிலே அவரை விசனப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!

அவர்கள் திரும்பி தேவனைப் பரீட்சை பார்த்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தரை மட்டுப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

அவருடைய கரத்தையும், அவர் தங்களைச் சத்துருவுக்கு விலக்கி மீட்ட நாளையும் நினையாமற் போனார்கள்.

They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.

அவர் எகிப்திலே தம்முடைய அடையாளங்களையும், சோவான் வெளியிலே தம்முடைய அற்புதங்களையும் செய்தார்.

How he had wrought his signs in Egypt, and his wonders in the field of Zoan:

அவர்களுடைய நதிகளை இரத்தமாக மாற்றி, அவர்களுடைய ஆறுகளிலுள்ள ஜலத்தைக் குடிக்கக்கூடாதபடி செய்தார்.

And had turned their rivers into blood; and their floods, that they could not drink.

அவர்களை அழிக்கும்படி வண்டு ஜாதிகளையும், அவர்களைக் கெடுக்கும்படி தவளைகளையும் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே அனுப்பினார்.

He sent divers sorts of flies among them, which devoured them; and frogs, which destroyed them.

அவர்களுடைய விளைச்சலைப் புழுக்களுக்கும், அவர்களுடைய பிரயாசத்தின் பலனை வெட்டுக்கிளிகளுக்கும் கொடுத்தார்.

He gave also their increase unto the caterpiller, and their labour unto the locust.

கல்மழையினால் அவர்களுடைய திராட்சச்செடிகளையும், ஆலாங்கட்டியினால் அவர்களுடைய அத்திமரங்களையும் அழித்து,

He destroyed their vines with hail, and their sycomore trees with frost.

அவர்களுடைய மிருகஜீவன்களைக் கல்மழைக்கும், அவர்களுடைய ஆடுமாடுகளை இடிகளுக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

He gave up their cattle also to the hail, and their flocks to hot thunderbolts.

தமது உக்கிரமான கோபத்தையும், மூர்க்கத்தையும், சினத்தையும், உபத்திரவத்தையும், தீங்குசெய்யும் தூதர்களையும் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே அனுப்பினார்.

He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

அவர் தம்முடைய கோபத்துக்கு வழிதிறந்து, அவர்கள் ஆத்துமாவை மரணத்துக்கு விலக்கிக் காவாமல், அவர்கள் ஜீவனைக் கொள்ளைநோய்க்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;

எகிப்திலே தலைச்சன்கள் அனைத்தையும், காமின் கூடாரங்களிலே அவர்களுடைய பெலனில் முதற்பலனான யாவரையும் அழித்து;

And smote all the firstborn in Egypt; the chief of their strength in the tabernacles of Ham:

தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை ஆடுகளைப்போல் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, அவர்களை வனாந்தரத்திலே மந்தையைப்போல் கூட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய்;

But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like a flock.

அவர்கள் பயப்படாதபடிக்கு அவர்களைப் பத்திரமாய் வழிநடத்தினார்; அவர்கள் சத்துருக்களைக் கடல் மூடிப்போட்டது.

And he led them on safely, so that they feared not: but the sea overwhelmed their enemies.

அவர்களைத் தமது பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் எல்லைவரைக்கும், தமது வலதுகரம் சம்பாதித்த இந்தப் பர்வதமட்டுக்கும் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து,

And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.

அவர்கள் முகத்திற்கு முன்பாக ஜாதிகளைத் துரத்திவிட்டு, தேசத்தை நூல்போட்டுப் பங்கிட்டு, அவர்களுடைய கூடாரங்களில் இஸ்ரவேலின் கோத்திரங்களைக் குடியேற்றினார்.

He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் உன்னதமான தேவனைப் பரீட்சை பார்த்து, அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டி, அவருடைய சாட்சிகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமற்போய்,

Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:

தங்கள் பிதாக்களைப்போல வழிவிலகி, துரோகம்பண்ணி, மோசம்போக்கும் வில்லைப்போல் துவண்டு,

But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

தங்கள் மேடைகளினால் அவருக்குக் கோபம் மூட்டி, தங்கள் விக்கிரகங்களினால் எரிச்சல் உண்டாக்கினார்கள்.

For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

தேவன் அதைக் கேட்டு உக்கிரமாகி, இஸ்ரவேலை மிகவும் வெறுத்து,

When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:

தாம் மனுஷருக்குள்ளே போட்ட கூடாரமாகிய சீலோவிலுள்ள வாசஸ்தலத்தை விட்டுவிலகி,

So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;

தமது பலத்தைச் சிறையிருப்புக்கும், தமது மகிமையைச் சத்துருவின் கைக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து,

And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy's hand.

தமது ஜனத்தைப் பட்டயத்துக்கு இரையாக்கி, தமது சுதந்தரத்தின்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டார்.

He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.

அவர்கள் வாலிபரை அக்கினி பட்சித்தது, அவர்கள் கன்னியாஸ்திரீகள் வாழ்க்கைப்படாதிருந்தார்கள்.

The fire consumed their young men; and their maidens were not given to marriage.

அவர்களுடைய ஆசாரியர்கள் பட்டயத்தால் விழுந்தார்கள், அவர்களுடைய விதவைகள் அழவில்லை.

Their priests fell by the sword; and their widows made no lamentation.

அப்பொழுது ஆண்டவர் நித்திரை தெளிந்தவனைப்போலவும், திராட்சரசத்தால் கெம்பீரிக்கிற பராக்கிரமசாலியைப்போலவும் விழித்து,

Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.

தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களைப் பின்புறமாக அடித்து, அவர்களுக்கு நித்திய நிந்தையை வரப்பண்ணினார்.

And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to a perpetual reproach.

அவர் யோசேப்பின் கூடாரத்தைப் புறக்கணித்தார்; எப்பிராயீம் கோத்திரத்தை அவர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளாமல்,

Moreover he refused the tabernacle of Joseph, and chose not the tribe of Ephraim:

யூதா கோத்திரத்தையும் தமக்குப் பிரியமான சீயோன் பர்வதத்தையும் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

But chose the tribe of Judah, the mount Zion which he loved.

தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தை மலைகளைப்போலவும், என்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்படி தாம் அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தின பூமியைப்போலவும் கட்டினார்.

And he built his sanctuary like high palaces, like the earth which he hath established for ever.

தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய தாவீதைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, ஆட்டுத்தொழுவங்களிலிருந்து அவனை எடுத்தார்.

He chose David also his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds:

கறவலாடுகளின் பின்னாகத் திரிந்த அவனை, தம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய யாக்கோபையும் தம்முடைய சுதந்தரமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலையும் மேய்ப்பதற்காக, அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தார்.

From following the ewes great with young he brought him to feed Jacob his people, and Israel his inheritance.

இவன் அவர்களைத் தன் இருதயத்தின் உண்மையின்படியே மேய்த்து, தன் கைகளின் திறமையினால் அவர்களை நடத்தினான்.

So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skilfulness of his hands.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 79

தேவனே, புறஜாதியார் உமது சுதந்தரத்தில் வந்து, உமது பரிசுத்த ஆலயத்தைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தி, எருசலேமை மண்மேடுகளாக்கினார்கள்.

O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.

உமது ஊழியக்காரரின் பிரேதங்களை ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளுக்கும், உமது பரிசுத்தவான்களின் மாம்சத்தைப் பூமியின் மிருகங்களுக்கும் இரையாகக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.

எருசலேமைச் சுற்றிலும் அவர்களுடைய இரத்தத்தை தண்ணீரைப்போலச் சிந்தினார்கள்; அவர்களை அடக்கம்பண்ணுவாருமில்லை.

Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.

எங்கள் அயலாருக்கு நிந்தையும், எங்கள் சுற்றுப்புறத்தாருக்குப் பரியாசமும் சக்கந்தமுமானோம்.

We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.

எதுவரைக்கும் கர்த்தாவே! நீர் என்றைக்கும் கோபமாயிருப்பீரோ? உம்முடைய எரிச்சல் அக்கினியைப் போல் எரியுமோ?

How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?

உம்மை அறியாத ஜாதிகள்மேலும், உமது நாமத்தைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளாத ராஜ்யங்கள்மேலும், உம்முடைய உக்கிரத்தை ஊற்றிவிடும்.

Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.

அவர்கள் யாக்கோபைப் பட்சித்து, அவன் குடியிருப்பைப் பாழாக்கினார்களே.

For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place.

பூர்வகாலத்து அக்கிரமங்களை எங்களுக்கு விரோதமாக நினையாதேயும்; உம்முடைய இரக்கங்கள் சீக்கிரமாய் எங்களுக்கு நேரிடுவதாக; நாங்கள் மிகவும் தாழ்த்தப்பட்டுப்போனோம்.

O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.

எங்களை இரட்சிக்கும் தேவனே, நீர் உமது நாமத்தின் மகிமையினிமித்தம் எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்து, உமது நாமத்தினிமித்தம் எங்களை விடுவித்து, எங்கள் பாவங்களை நிவிர்த்தியாக்கும்.

Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.

அவர்களுடைய தேவன் எங்கே என்று புறஜாதிகள் சொல்வானேன்? உமது ஊழியக்காரருடைய சிந்துண்ட இரத்தத்தின் பழிவாங்குதல் ஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே எங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக விளங்கும்படி செய்யும்.

Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.

கட்டுண்டவனுடைய பெருமூச்சு உமக்கு முன்பாக வரட்டும்; கொலைக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டவர்களை உமது புயபலத்தினால் உயிரோடே காத்தருளும்.

Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;

ஆண்டவரே, எங்கள் அயலார் உம்மை நிந்தித்த நிந்தையை, ஏழத்தனையாக அவர்கள் மடியிலே திரும்பப்பண்ணும்.

And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

அப்பொழுது, உம்முடைய ஜனங்களும் உம்முடைய மேய்ச்சலின் ஆடுகளுமாகிய நாங்கள் உம்மை என்றென்றைக்கும் புகழுவோம்; தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக உமது துதியைச் சொல்லிவருவோம்.

So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.

லூக்கா அத்தியாயம் 10

இவைகளுக்குப் பின்பு கர்த்தர் வேறே எழுபதுபேரை நியமித்து, தாம் போகும் சகல பட்டணங்களுக்கும் இடங்களுக்கும் அவர்களைத் தமக்கு முன்னே இரண்டிரண்டு பேராக அனுப்பினார்.

After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, whither he himself would come.

அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: அறுப்பு மிகுதி, வேலையாட்களோ கொஞ்சம்; ஆகையால் அறுப்புக்கு எஜமான் தமது அறுப்புக்கு வேலையாட்களை அனுப்பும்படி அவரை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

புறப்பட்டுப்போங்கள்; ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளை ஓநாய்களுக்குள்ளே அனுப்புகிறதுபோல, இதோ, நான் உங்களை அனுப்புகிறேன்.

Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves.

பணப்பையையும் சாமான் பையையும் பாதரட்சைகளையும் கொண்டுபோகவேண்டாம்; வழியிலே ஒருவரையும் வினவவும் வேண்டாம்.

Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way.

ஒரு வீட்டில் பிரவேசிக்கிறபோது: இந்த வீட்டுக்குச் சமாதானம் உண்டாவதாகவென்று முதலாவது சொல்லுங்கள்.

And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house.

சமாதான பாத்திரன் அங்கே இருந்தால், நீங்கள் கூறின சமாதானம் அவனிடத்தில் தங்கும், இல்லாதிருந்தால் அது உங்களிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பிவரும்.

And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon it: if not, it shall turn to you again.

அந்த வீட்டிலேதானே நீங்கள் தங்கியிருந்து, அவர்கள் கொடுக்கிறவைகளைப் புசித்துக் குடியுங்கள்; வேலையாள் தன் கூலிக்குப் பாத்திரனாயிருக்கிறான். வீட்டுக்கு வீடு போகாதிருங்கள்.

And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.

ஒரு பட்டணத்தில் நீங்கள் பிரவேசிக்கிறபொழுது, ஜனங்கள் உங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டால் அவர்கள் உங்கள்முன்வைக்கிறவைகளை நீங்கள் புசித்து,

And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:

அவ்விடத்திலுள்ள பிணியாளிகளைச் சொஸ்தமாக்கி: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்களுக்குச் சமீபமாய் வந்திருக்கிறது என்று அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.

And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

யாதொரு பட்டணத்தில் நீங்கள் பிரவேசிக்கிறபொழுது, ஜனங்கள் உங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளாவிட்டால் அதின் வீதிகளிலே நீங்கள் போய்:

But into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go your ways out into the streets of the same, and say,

எங்களில் ஒட்டின உங்கள் பட்டணத்தின் தூசியையும் உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்த் துடைத்துப்போடுகிறோம்; ஆயினும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்களுக்குச் சமீபமாய் வந்திருக்கிறதென்பதை அறிந்துகொள்வீர்களாக என்று சொல்லுங்கள்.

Even the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

அந்தப் பட்டணத்திற்கு நேரிடுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும் அந்த நாளிலே சோதோம் நாட்டிற்கு நேரிடுவது இலகுவாயிருக்கும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.

கோராசீன் பட்டணமே, உனக்கு ஐயோ, பெத்சாயிதா பட்டணமே, உனக்கு ஐயோ, உங்களில் செய்யப்பட்ட பலத்தசெய்கைகள் தீருவிலும் சீதோனிலும் செய்யப்பட்டிருந்ததானால், அப்பொழுதே இரட்டுடுத்தி, சாம்பலில் உட்கார்ந்து, மனந்திரும்பியிருப்பார்கள்.

Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon, which have been done in you, they had a great while ago repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளில் உங்களுக்கு நேரிடுவதைப்பார்க்கிலும், தீருவுக்கும் சீதோனுக்கும் நேரிடுவது இலகுவாயிருக்கும்.

But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment, than for you.

வானபரியந்தம் உயர்த்தப்பட்ட கப்பர்நகூமே, நீ பாதாளபரியந்தம் தாழ்த்தப்படுவாய் என்று சொல்லி,

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted to heaven, shalt be thrust down to hell.

சீஷரை நோக்கி: உங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறவன் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறான், உங்களை அசட்டைபண்ணுகிறவன் என்னை அசட்டைபண்ணுகிறான், என்னை அசட்டைபண்ணுகிறவன் என்னை அனுப்பினவரை அசட்டைப்பண்ணுகிறான் என்றார்.

He that heareth you heareth me; and he that despiseth you despiseth me; and he that despiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

பின்பு அந்த எழுபதுபேரும் சந்தோஷத்தோடே திரும்பிவந்து: ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய நாமத்தினாலே பிசாசுகளும் எங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறது என்றார்கள்.

And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.

அவர்களை அவர் நோக்கி: சாத்தான் மின்னலைப்போல வானத்திலிருந்து விழுகிறதைக் கண்டேன்.

And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

இதோ, சர்ப்பங்களையும், தேள்களையும் மிதிக்கவும், சத்துருவினுடைய சகலவல்லமையையும் மேற்கொள்ளவும் உங்களுக்கு அதிகாரங்கொடுக்கிறேன்; ஒன்றும் உங்களைச் சேதப்படுத்தமாட்டாது.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

ஆகிலும் ஆவிகள் உங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதற்காக நீங்கள் சந்தோஷப்படாமல், உங்கள் நாமங்கள் பரலோகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறதற்காகச் சந்தோஷப்படுங்கள் என்றார்.

Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

அந்த வேளையில் இயேசு ஆவியிலே களிகூர்ந்து: பிதாவே! வானத்துக்கும் பூமிக்கும் ஆண்டவரே! இவைகளை நீர் ஞானிகளுக்கும் கல்விமான்களுக்கும் மறைத்து, பாலகருக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினபடியால் உம்மை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்; ஆம், பிதாவே! இப்படிச் செய்வது உம்முடைய திருவுளத்துக்குப் பிரியமாயிருந்தது.

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

சகலமும் என் பிதாவினால் எனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; பிதா தவிர வேறொருவனும் குமாரன் இன்னாரென்று அறியான், குமாரனும், குமாரன் அவரை எவனுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிறாரோ அவனுந்தவிர, வேறொருவனும் பிதா இன்னாரென்று, அறியான் என்றார்.

All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

பின்பு தமது சீஷரிடத்தில் திரும்பி, தனித்து அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் காண்கிறவைகளைக் காணுங்கண்கள் பாக்கியமுள்ளவைகள்.

And he turned him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see:

அநேக தீர்க்கதரிசிகளும் ராஜாக்களும் நீங்கள் காண்கிறவைகளைக் காணவும், நீங்கள் கேட்கிறவைகளைக் கேட்கவும் விரும்பியும், காணாமலும் கேளாமலும் போனார்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

For I tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

அப்பொழுது நியாயசாஸ்திரி ஒருவன் எழுந்திருந்து, அவரைச் சோதிக்கும்படி: போதகரே, நித்திய ஜீவனைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு நான் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான்.

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

அதற்கு அவர்: நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தில் என்ன எழுதியிருக்கிறது? நீ வாசித்திருக்கிறது என்ன என்றார்.

He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

அவன் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: உன் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடத்தில் உன் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உன் முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் உன் முழுப் பலத்தோடும் உன் முழுச்சிந்தையோடும் அன்புகூர்ந்து, உன்னிடத்தில் அன்புகூருவதுபோலப் பிறனிடத்திலும் அன்புகூருவாயாக என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது என்றான்.

And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

அவர் அவனை நோக்கி: நிதானமாய் உத்தரவு சொன்னாய்; அப்படியே செய், அப்பொழுது பிழைப்பாய் என்றார்.

And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

அவன் தன்னை நீதிமான் என்று காண்பிக்க மனதாய் இயேசுவை நோக்கி: எனக்குப் பிறன் யார் என்று கேட்டான்.

But he, willing to justify himself, said unto Jesus, And who is my neighbour?

இயேசு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: ஒரு மனுஷன் எருசலேமிலிருந்து எரிகோவுக்குப் போகையில் கள்ளர் கையில் அகப்பட்டான்; அவர்கள் அவன் வஸ்திரங்களை உரிந்துகொண்டு, அவனைக் காயப்படுத்தி குற்றுயிராக விட்டுப்போனார்கள்.

And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.

அப்பொழுது தற்செயலாய் ஒரு ஆசாரியன் அந்த வழியே வந்து, அவனைக் கண்டு, பக்கமாய் விலகிப்போனான்.

And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.

அந்தப்படியே ஒரு லேவியனும் அந்த இடத்துக்கு வந்து, அவனைக் கண்டு, பக்கமாய் விலகிப்போனான்.

And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side.

பின்பு சமாரியன் ஒருவன் பிரயாணமாய் வருகையில், அவனைக் கண்டு, மனதுருகி,

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,

கிட்ட வந்து, அவனுடைய காயங்களில் எண்ணெயும் திராட்சரசமும் வார்த்து, காயங்களைக் கட்டி, அவனைத் தன் சுயவாகனத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றி, சத்திரத்துக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், அவனைப் பராமரித்தான்.

And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.

மறுநாளிலே தான் புறப்படும்போது இரண்டு பணத்தை எடுத்து, சத்திரத்தான் கையில் கொடுத்து: நீ இவனை விசாரித்துக்கொள், அதிகமாய் ஏதாகிலும் இவனுக்காகச் செலவழித்தால், நான் திரும்பிவரும்போது அதை உனக்குத் தருவேன் என்றான்.

And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

இப்படியிருக்க, கள்ளர்கையில் அகப்பட்டவனுக்கு இந்த மூன்றுபேரில் எவன் பிறனாயிருந்தான்? உனக்கு எப்படித் தோன்றுகிறது என்றார்.

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?

அதற்கு அவன்: அவனுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்தவனே என்றான். அப்பொழுது இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: நீயும் போய் அந்தப்படியே செய் என்றார்;

And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.

பின்பு, அவர்கள் பிரயாணமாய்ப் போகையில், அவர் ஒரு கிராமத்தில் பிரவேசித்தார். அங்கே மார்த்தாள் என்னும் பேர்கொண்ட ஒரு ஸ்திரீ அவரைத் தன் வீட்டிலே ஏற்றுக்கொண்டாள்.

Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.

அவளுக்கு மரியாள் என்னப்பட்ட ஒரு சகோதரி இருந்தாள்; அவள் இயேசுவின் பாதத்தருகே உட்கார்ந்து, அவருடைய வசனத்தைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தாள்.

And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

மார்த்தாளோ பற்பல வேலைகளைச் செய்வதில் மிகவும் வருத்தமடைந்து, அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: ஆண்டவரே, நான் தனியே வேலைசெய்யும்படி என் சகோதரி என்னை விட்டுவந்திருக்கிறதைக்குறித்து உமக்குக் கவலையில்லையா? எனக்கு உதவிசெய்யும்படி அவளுக்குச் சொல்லும் என்றாள்.

But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

இயேசு அவளுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: மார்த்தாளே, மார்த்தாளே, நீ அநேக காரியங்களைக்குறித்துக் கவலைப்பட்டுக் கலங்குகிறாய்.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

தேவையானது ஒன்றே, மரியாள் தன்னை விட்டெடுபடாத நல்ல பங்கைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டாள் என்றார்.

But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
