1நாளாகமம் அத்தியாயம் 13

தாவீது ஆயிரம்பேருக்குத் தலைவரோடும் நூறுபேருக்குத் தலைவரோடும் சகல அதிபதிகளோடும் ஆலோசனைபண்ணி,

And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.

இஸ்ரவேல் சபையையெல்லாம் நோக்கி: உங்களுக்குச் சம்மதியும் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குச் சித்தமுமாயிருந்தால், இஸ்ரவேலின் தேசங்களிலெல்லாம் இருக்கிற நம்முடைய மற்றச் சகோதரரும், அவர்களோடே தங்கள் வெளிநிலங்களில் இருக்கிற ஆசாரியரும் லேவியரும் நம்மோடே கூடும்படிக்கு நாம் சீக்கிரமாய் அவர்களிடத்துக்கு ஆள் அனுப்பி,

And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:

நமது தேவனுடைய பெட்டியைத் திரும்ப நம்மிடத்துக்குக் கொண்டு வருவோமாக; சவுலின் நாட்களில் அதைத் தேடாதேபோனோம் என்றான்.

And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.

இந்தக் காரியம் சகல ஜனத்தின் பார்வைக்கும் செம்மையாயிருந்தபடியால், சபையார் எல்லாரும் அப்படியே செய்வோம் என்றார்கள்.

And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.

அப்படியே தேவனுடைய பெட்டியைக் கீரியாத்யாரீமிலிருந்து கொண்டுவரும்படி, தாவீது எகிப்தைச் சேர்ந்த சீகோர் நதிதுவக்கி ஆமாத்தின் எல்லைமட்டுமுள்ள இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாங்கூட்டி,

So David gathered all Israel together, from Shihor of Egypt even unto the entering of Hemath, to bring the ark of God from Kirjathjearim.

கேருபீன்களின் நடுவே வாசம்பண்ணுகிற கர்த்தராகிய தேவனுடைய நாமம் தொழுதுகொள்ளப்படுகிற அவருடைய பெட்டியை யூதாவிலிருக்கிற கீரியாத் யாரீமுக்கடுத்த பாலாவிலிருந்து கொண்டுவரும்படிக்கு, அவனும் இஸ்ரவேலர் அனைவரும் அவ்விடத்திற்குப் போனார்கள்.

And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.

அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை அபினதாபின் வீட்டிலிருந்து ஒரு புது ரதத்தின்மேல் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; ஊசாவும் அகியோவும் ரதத்தை நடத்தினார்கள்.

And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.

தாவீதும் சகல இஸ்ரவேலரும் தங்கள் முழு பலத்தோடும் தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகச் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் தம்புருகளையும் மேளங்களையும் கைத்தாளங்களையும் பூரிகைகளையும் சேவித்து மகிழ்ச்சியாய் ஆடிப்பாடினார்கள்.

And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.

அவர்கள் கீதோனின் களமட்டும் வந்தபோது, மாடுகள் இடறினபடியினால், ஊசா பெட்டியைப் பிடிக்கத் தன் கையை நீட்டினான்.

And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் ஊசாவின்மேல் கோபம் மூண்டவராகி, அவன் தன் கையை பெட்டியண்டைக்கு நீட்டினதினிமித்தம் அவனை அடித்தார்; அங்கே அவன் தேவசமுகத்தில் செத்தான்.

And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் ஊசாவை அடித்ததினிமித்தம் தாவீது விசனப்பட்டு, அந்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு இந்நாள் மட்டும் வழங்கிவருகிற பேரேஸ் ஊசா என்னும் பேரிட்டு,

And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzza: wherefore that place is called Perezuzza to this day.

அன்றையதினம் தேவனுக்குப் பயந்து: தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை நான் என்னிடத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவருவது எப்படியென்று சொல்லி,

And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?

பெட்டியைத் தன்னிடத்தில் தாவீதின் நகரத்திலே கொண்டுவராமல், அதைக் கித்தியனாகிய ஓபேத் ஏதோமின் வீட்டிலே சேர்த்தான்.

So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.

தேவனுடைய பெட்டி ஓபேத் ஏதோமின் வீட்டிலே அவனிடத்தில் மூன்று மாதம் இருக்கையில், கர்த்தர் ஓபேத் ஏதோமின் வீட்டையும் அவனுக்கு உண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.

And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.

1நாளாகமம் அத்தியாயம் 14

தீருவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஈராம் தாவீதினிடத்தில் ஸ்தானாபதிகளையும், அவனுக்கு ஒரு வீட்டைக் கட்டுகிறதற்குக் கேதுரு மரங்களையும், தச்சரையும், கல்தச்சரையும் அனுப்பினான்.

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.

கர்த்தர் தன்னை இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகத் திடப்படுத்தி, இஸ்ரவேல் என்னும் தம்முடைய ஜனத்தினிமித்தம் தன்னுடைய ராஜ்யத்தை மிகவும் உயர்த்தினார் என்று தாவீது அறிந்துகொண்டான்.

And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.

எருசலேமிலே தாவீது பின்னும் அநேக ஸ்திரீகளை விவாகம்பண்ணி, பின்னும் குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றான்.

And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.

எருசலேமிலே அவனுக்குப் பிறந்த குமாரரின் நாமங்களாவன: சம்முவா, சோபாப், நாத்தான், சாலொமோன்,

Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,

இப்கார், எலிசூவா, எல்பெலேத்,

And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,

நோகா, நெப்பேக், யப்பியா,

And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

எலிஷாமா, பெலியாதா, எலிப்பெலேத் என்பவைகள்.

And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.

தாவீது சமஸ்த இஸ்ரவேலின்மேலும் ராஜாவாக அபிஷேகம்பண்ணப்பட்டதைப் பெலிஸ்தர் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, பெலிஸ்தர் எல்லாரும் தாவீதைத் தேடும்படி வந்தார்கள்; அதைத் தாவீது கேட்டபோது அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகப் புறப்பட்டான்.

And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

பெலிஸ்தர் வந்து ரெப்பாயீம் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே பரவியிருந்தார்கள்.

And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

பெலிஸ்தருக்கு விரோதமாகப் போகலாமா, அவர்களை என் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பீரா என்று தாவீது தேவனைக் கேட்டபோது, கர்த்தர்: போ, அவர்களை உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன் என்றார்.

And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.

So they came up to Baalperazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baalperazim.

அங்கே அவர்கள் தங்கள் தெய்வங்களைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்; தாவீது கற்பித்தபடி அவைகள் அக்கினியாலே சுட்டெரிக்கப்பட்டன.

And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.

And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.

அப்பொழுது தாவீது திரும்ப தேவனிடத்தில் விசாரித்ததற்கு, தேவன் நீ அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னாலே போகாமல், அவர்களுக்குப் பக்கமாய்ச் சுற்றி, முசுக்கட்டைச் செடிகளுக்கு எதிரேயிருந்து, அவர்கள்மேல் பாய்ந்து,

Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

முசுக்கட்டைச் செடிகளின் நுனிகளிலே செல்லுகிற இரைச்சலை நீ கேட்கும்போது, யுத்தத்திற்குப் புறப்படு; பெலிஸ்தரின் பாளயத்தை முறிய அடிக்க, தேவன் உனக்கு முன்னே புறப்பட்டிருப்பார் என்றார்.

And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.

தேவன் தனக்குக் கற்பித்தபடியே தாவீது செய்தபோது, பெலிஸ்தரின் இராணுவத்தைக் கிபியோன் துவக்கிக் காசேர்மட்டும் முறிய அடித்தார்கள்.

David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.

அப்படியே தாவீதின் கீர்த்தி சகல தேசங்களிலும் பிரசித்தமாகி, அவனுக்குப் பயப்படுகிற பயத்தைக் கர்த்தர் சகல ஜாதிகளின்மேலும் வரப்பண்ணினார்.

And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.

1நாளாகமம் அத்தியாயம் 15

அவன் தனக்குத் தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் வீடுகளை உண்டாக்கி, தேவனுடைய பெட்டிக்கு ஒரு ஸ்தலத்தை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, அதற்கு ஒரு கூடாரத்தைப் போட்டான்.

And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.

பிற்பாடு தாவீது: லேவியர் ஒழிய வேறொருவரும் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை எடுக்கலாகாது; தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை எடுக்கவும், என்றைக்கும் அவருக்குப் பணிவிடைசெய்யவும், அவர்களையே கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொண்டார் என்றான்.

Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.

அப்படியே கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்குத் தான் ஆயத்தப்படுத்தின அதின் ஸ்தலத்திற்கு அதைக் கொண்டுவரும்படி, தாவீது இஸ்ரவேலையெல்லாம் எருசலேமிலே கூடிவரச்செய்தான்.

And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.

ஆரோனின் புத்திரரையும்,

And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:

லேவியராகிய கோகாத் புத்திரரில் பிரபுவாகிய ஊரியேலையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய நூற்றிருபதுபேரையும்,

Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:

மெராரியின் புத்திரரில் பிரபுவாகிய அசாயாவையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய இருநூற்றிருபதுபேரையும்,

Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:

கெர்சோன் புத்திரரில் பிரபுவாகிய யோவேலையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய நூற்றுமுப்பதுபேரையும்,

Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty:

எலிசாப்பான் புத்திரரில் பிரபுவாகிய செமாயாவையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய இருநூறுபேரையும்,

Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:

எப்ரோன் புத்திரரில் பிரபுவாகிய எலியேலையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய எண்பதுபேரையும்,

Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:

ஊசியேல் புத்திரரில் பிரபுவாகிய அம்மினதாபையும், அவன் சகோதரராகிய நூற்றுப்பன்னிரண்டுபேரையும் தாவீது கூடிவரப்பண்ணினான்.

Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.

பின்பு தாவீது ஆசாரியராகிய சாதோக்கையும், அபியத்தாரையும், லேவியராகிய ஊரியேல், அசாயா, யோவேல், செமாயா, எலியேல், அம்மினதாப் என்பவர்களையும் அழைத்து,

And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

அவர்களை நோக்கி: லேவியரில் நீங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய சந்ததிகளின் தலைவர், நீங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பெட்டியை அதற்கு நான் ஆயத்தம்பண்ணின ஸ்தலத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவரும்படி, உங்களையும் உங்கள் சகோதரரையும் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.

முதலில் நீங்கள் அதைச் சுமக்காதபடியினாலும், நாம் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நியாயமானபடியே தேடாதேபோனபடியினாலும், அவர் நமக்குள்ளே அடிவிழப்பண்ணினார் என்றான்.

For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.

ஆசாரியரும் லேவியரும் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் பெட்டியைக் கொண்டுவரத் தங்களைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.

பின்பு லேவி புத்திரர் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையின்படியே, மோசே கற்பித்த பிரகாரம் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியை அதின் தண்டுகளினாலே தங்கள் தோள்மேல் எடுத்துக்கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.

தாவீது லேவியரின் பிரபுக்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உங்கள் சகோதரராகிய பாடகரைத் தம்புரு சுரமண்டலம் கைத்தாளம் முதலிய கீதவாத்தியங்கள் முழங்க, தங்கள் சத்தத்தை உயர்த்தி, சந்தோஷம் உண்டாகப் பாடும்படி நிறுத்தவேண்டும் என்று சொன்னான்.

And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.

அப்படியே லேவியர் யோவேலின் குமாரனாகிய ஏமானையும், அவன் சகோதரரில் பெரகியாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஆசாப்பையும், மெராரியின் புத்திரரான தங்கள் சகோதரரில் குஷாயாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஏத்தானையும்,

So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;

இவர்களோடுங்கூட இரண்டாவது வரிசையாகத் தங்கள் சகோதரராகிய சகரியா, பேன், யாசியேல், செமிரமோத், யெகியேல், உன்னி, எலியாப், பெனாயா, மாசெயா, மத்தித்தியா, எலிப்பெலேகு, மிக்னேயா, ஓபேத்ஏதோம், ஏயெல் என்னும் வாசல் காவலாளரையும் நிறுத்தினார்கள்.

And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters.

பாடகராகிய ஏமானும், ஆசாப்பும், ஏத்தானும், பஞ்சலோகக் கைத்தாளங்களைத் தொனிக்கப்பண்ணிப் பாடினார்கள்.

So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;

சகரியா, ஆசியேல், செமிரமோத், யெகியேல், உன்னி, எலியாப், மாசெயா, பெனாயா என்பவர்கள் அல்மோத் என்னும் இசையில் பாடி, தம்புருகளை வாசித்தார்கள்.

And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;

மத்தித்தியா, எலிப்பெலேகு, மிக்னேயா, ஓபேத்ஏதோம், ஏயெல், அசசியா என்பவர்கள் செமனீத் என்னும் இசையில் பாடி, சுரமண்டலங்களை நேர்த்தியாய் வாசித்தார்கள்.

And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.

லேவியருக்குள்ளே கெனானியா என்பவன் சங்கீதத்தலைவனாயிருந்தான்; அவன் நிபுணனானபடியால், கீதவித்தையைப் படிப்பித்தான்.

And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful.

பெரகியாவும் எல்க்கானாவும் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகக் காவல்காத்துவந்தார்கள்.

And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.

செபனியா, யோசபாத், நெதனெயேல், அமாசாயி, சகரியா, பெனாயா, எலியேசர் என்னும் ஆசாரியர் தேவனுடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாகப் பூரிகைகளை ஊதினார்கள்; ஓபேத்ஏதோமும், எகியாவும் பெட்டிக்கு வாசல் காவலாளராயிருந்தார்கள்.

And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.

இப்படித் தாவீதும், இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரும், ஆயிரத்துச் சேர்வைக்காரரும் கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை ஓபேத்ஏதோமின் வீட்டிலிருந்து மகிழ்ச்சியோடே கொண்டுவரப்போனார்கள்.

So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.

கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற லேவியருக்கு தேவன் அநுக்கிரகம் பண்ணினபடியால், அவர்கள் ஏழு காளைகளையும் ஏழு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும் பலியிட்டார்கள்.

And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.

தாவீதும், பெட்டியைச் சுமக்கிற சகல லேவியரும், பாடகரும், பாடகரின் வேலையை விசாரிக்கிற தலைவனாகிய கெனானியாவும், மெல்லிய புடவையான சால்வைகளைத் தரித்திருந்தார்கள்; தாவீது சணல்நூல் ஏபோத்தைத் தரித்திருந்தான்.

And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.

அப்படியே இஸ்ரவேலனைத்தும் கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைக் கெம்பீரத்தோடும், எக்காளங்கள் பூரிகைகள் கைத்தாளங்களின் தொனியோடும், தம்புருகளையும் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் வாசிக்கிற சத்தத்தோடும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.

கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கைப்பெட்டி, தாவீதின் நகரமட்டும் வந்தபோது, சவுலின் குமாரத்தியாகிய மீகாள் பலகணி வழியாய்ப் பார்த்து, தாவீது ராஜா ஆடிப்பாடி வருகிறதைக் கண்டு, அவனைத் தன் இருதயத்திலே அவமதித்தாள்.

And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

1யோவான் அத்தியாயம் 1

ஆதிமுதல் இருந்ததும், நாங்கள் கேட்டதும், எங்கள் கண்களினாலே கண்டதும், நாங்கள் நோக்கிப்பார்த்ததும், எங்கள் கைகளினாலே தொட்டதுமாயிருக்கிற ஜீவவார்த்தையைக்குறித்து உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறோம்.

That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

அந்த ஜீவன் வெளிப்பட்டது; பிதாவினிடத்திலிருந்ததும், எங்களுக்கு வெளிப்பட்டதுமான நித்தியமாயிருக்கிற அந்த ஜீவனை நாங்கள் கண்டு, அதைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சிகொடுத்து, அதை உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறோம்.

For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)

நீங்களும் எங்களோடே ஐக்கியமுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி, நாங்கள் கண்டும் கேட்டும் இருக்கிறதை உங்களுக்கும் அறிவிக்கிறோம்; எங்களுடைய ஐக்கியம் பிதாவோடும் அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவோடும் இருக்கிறது.

That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

உங்கள் சந்தோஷம் நிறைவாயிருக்கும்படி இவைகளை உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறோம்.

And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

தேவன் ஒளியாயிருக்கிறார், அவரில் எவ்வளவேனும் இருளில்லை; இது நாங்கள் அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டு உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிற விசேஷமாயிருக்கிறது.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

நாம் அவரோடே ஐக்கியப்பட்டவர்களென்று சொல்லியும், இருளிலே நடக்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால், சத்தியத்தின்படி நடவாமல் பொய்சொல்லுகிறவர்களாயிருப்போம்.

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

அவர் ஒளியிலிருக்கிறதுபோல நாமும் ஒளியிலே நடந்தால் ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஐக்கியப்பட்டிருப்போம்; அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் இரத்தம் சகல பாவங்களையும் நீக்கி, நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும்.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

நமக்குப் பாவமில்லையென்போமானால், நம்மை நாமே வஞ்சிக்கிறவர்களாயிருப்போம், சத்தியம் நமக்குள் இராது.

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நாம் அறிக்கையிட்டால், பாவங்களை நமக்கு மன்னித்து எல்லா அநியாயத்தையும் நீக்கி நம்மைச் சுத்திகரிப்பதற்கு அவர் உண்மையும் நீதியும் உள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

நாம் பாவஞ்செய்யவில்லையென்போமானால், நாம் அவரைப் பொய்யராக்குகிறவர்களாயிருப்போம், அவருடைய வார்த்தை நமக்குள் இராது.

If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நிவிர்த்தி செய்கிற கிருபாதாரபலி அவரே; நம்முடைய பாவங்களை மாத்திரம் அல்ல, சர்வலோகத்தின் பாவங்களையும் நிவிர்த்தி செய்கிற பலியாயிருக்கிறார்.

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

அவருடைய கற்பனைகளை நாம் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களானால், அவரை அறிந்திருக்கிறோமென்பதை அதினால் அறிவோம்.

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

அவரை அறிந்திருக்கிறேனென்று சொல்லியும், அவருடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாதவன் பொய்யனாயிருக்கிறான், அவனுக்குள் சத்தியமில்லை.

He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

அவருடைய வசனத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவனிடத்தில் தேவ அன்பு மெய்யாகப் பூரணப்பட்டிருக்கும்; நாம் அவருக்குள் இருக்கிறோமென்பதை அதினாலே அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

அவருக்குள் நிலைத்திருக்கிறேனென்று சொல்லுகிறவன், அவர் நடந்தபடியே தானும் நடக்கவேண்டும்.

He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

சகோதரரே, நான் உங்களுக்குப் புதிய கற்பனையை அல்ல, ஆதிமுதல் நீங்கள் பெற்றிருக்கிற பழைய கற்பனையையே எழுதுகிறேன்; அந்தப் பழைய கற்பனை நீங்கள் ஆதிமுதல் கேட்டிருக்கிற வசனந்தானே.

Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.

மேலும், நான் புதிய கற்பனையையும் உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன், இது அவருக்குள்ளும் உங்களுக்குள்ளும் மெய்யாயிருக்கிறது; ஏனென்றால், இருள் நீங்கிப்போகிறது, மெய்யான ஒளி இப்பொழுது பிரகாசிக்கிறது.

Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

தன் சகோதரனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறவன் ஒளியிலே நிலைகொண்டிருக்கிறான்; அவனிடத்தில் இடறல் ஒன்றுமில்லை.

He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

தன் சகோதரனைப் பகைக்கிறவன் இருளிலே இருந்து இருளிலே நடக்கிறான்; இருளானது அவன் கண்களைக் குருடாக்கினபடியால் தான் போகும் இடம் இன்னதென்று அறியாதிருக்கிறான்.

But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

பிள்ளைகளே, அவருடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் உங்கள் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதினால் உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன்.

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.

பிதாக்களே, ஆதிமுதலிருக்கிறவரை நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறதினால் உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன். வாலிபரே, பொல்லாங்கனை நீங்கள் ஜெயித்ததினால் உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன். பிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள் பிதாவை அறிந்திருக்கிறதினால் உங்களுக்கு எழுதுகிறேன்.

I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

உலகத்திலும் உலகத்திலுள்ளவைகளிலும் அன்புகூராதிருங்கள்; ஒருவன் உலகத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்தால் அவனிடத்தில் பிதாவின் அன்பில்லை.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

ஏனெனில், மாம்சத்தின் இச்சையும, கண்களின் இச்சையும், ஜீவனத்தின் பெருமையுமாகிய உலகத்திலுள்ளவைகளெல்லாம் பிதாவினாலுண்டானவைகளல்ல, அவைகள் உலகத்தினாலுண்டானவைகள்.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

உலகமும் அதின் இச்சையும் ஒழிந்துபோம்; தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்கிறவனோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருப்பான்.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

பிள்ளைகளே, இது கடைசிக்காலமாயிருக்கிறது; அந்திக்கிறிஸ்து வருகிறானென்று நீங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டபடி இப்பொழுதும் அநேக அந்திக்கிறிஸ்துகள் இருக்கிறார்கள்; அதினாலே இது கடைசிக்காலமென்று அறிகிறோம்.

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

அவர்கள் நம்மைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்துபோனார்கள், ஆகிலும் அவர்கள் நம்முடையவர்களாயிருக்கவில்லை; நம்முடையவர்களாயிருந்தார்களானால் நம்முடனே நிலைத்திருப்பார்களே; எல்லாரும் நம்முடையவர்களல்லவென்று வெளியாகும்படிக்கே பிரிந்து போனார்கள்.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தராலே அபிஷேகம்பெற்றுச் சகலத்தையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

சத்தியத்தை நீங்கள் அறியாததினாலல்ல, நீங்கள் சத்தியத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறதினாலும், சத்தியத்தினால் ஒரு பொய்யுமுண்டாயிராதென்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறதினாலும், உங்களுக்கு எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்.

I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

இயேசுவைக் கிறிஸ்து அல்ல என்று மறுதலிக்கிறவனேயல்லாமல் வேறே யார் பொய்யன்? பிதாவையும் குமாரனையும் மறுதலிக்கிறவனே அந்திக்கிறிஸ்து.

Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

குமாரனை மறுதலிக்கிறவன் பிதாவையுடைவனல்ல, குமாரனை அறிக்கையிடுகிறவன் பிதாவையும் உடையவனாயிருக்கிறான்.

Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

ஆகையால் ஆதிமுதல் நீங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டது உங்களில் நிலைத்திருக்கக்கடவது; ஆதிமுதல் நீங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டது உங்களில் நிலைத்திருந்தால், நீங்களும் குமாரனிலும் பிதாவிலும் நிலைத்திருப்பீர்கள்.

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

நித்தியஜீவனை அளிப்பேன் என்பதே அவர் நமக்குச் செய்த வாக்குத்தத்தம்.

And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

உங்களை வஞ்சிக்கிறவர்களைக் குறித்து இவைகளை உங்களுக்கு எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்.

These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

நீங்கள் அவராலே பெற்ற அபிஷேகம் உங்களில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது, ஒருவரும் உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கவேண்டுவதில்லை; அந்த அபிஷேகம் சகலத்தையுங்குறித்து உங்களுக்குப் போதிக்கிறது; அது சத்தியமாயிருக்கிறது, பொய்யல்ல, அது உங்களுக்குப் போதித்தபடியே அவரில் நிலைத்திருப்பீர்களாக.

But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

இப்படியிருக்க, பிள்ளைகளே, அவர் வெளிப்படும்போது நாம் அவர் வருகையில் அவருக்கு முன்பாக வெட்கப்பட்டுப் போகாமல் தைரியமுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு அவரில் நிலைத்திருங்கள்.

And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

அவர் நீதியுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறாரென்று உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்திருப்பதினால், நீதியைச் செய்கிறவனெவனும் அவரில் பிறந்தவனென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
