Adam, Sheth, Enosh,

கேனான், மகலாலெயேல், யாரேத்,

Kenan, Mahalaleel, Jered,

ஏனோக்கு, மெத்தூசலா, லாமேக்கு,

Henoch, Methuselah, Lamech,

நோவா, சேம், காம், யாப்பேத்,

Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

யாப்பேத்தின் குமாரர், கோமர், மாகோகு, மாதாய், யாவான், தூபால், மேசேக்கு, தீராஸ் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

கோமரின் குமாரர், அஸ்கினாஸ், ரீப்பாத்து, தொகர்மா என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Gomer; Ashchenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.

யாவானின் குமாரர், எலீசா, தர்ஷீஸ், கித்தீம், தொதானீம் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

காமின் குமாரர், கூஷ், மிஸ்ராயிம், பூத், கானான் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

கூஷின் குமாரர், சேபா, ஆவிலா, சப்தா, ராமா, சப்திகா என்பவர்கள்; ராமாவின் குமாரர், சேபா, திதான் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raamah, and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

கூஷ் நிம்ரோதைப் பெற்றான்; இவன் பூமியிலே பராக்கிரமசாலியானான்.

And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be mighty upon the earth.

மிஸ்ராயிம் லூதீமியரையும், ஆனாமியரையும், லெகாபியரையும், நப்தூகியரையும்,

And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,

பத்ரூசியரையும், பெலிஸ்தரைப் பெற்ற கஸ்லூகியரையும், கப்தோரியரையும் பெற்றான்.

And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (of whom came the Philistines,) and Caphthorim.

கானான் தன் மூத்தமகனாகிய சீதோனையும், கேத்தையும்,

And Canaan begat Zidon his firstborn, and Heth,

எபூசியரையும், எமோரியரையும், கிர்காசியரையும்,

The Jebusite also, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite,

ஏவியரையும், அர்கீயரையும், சீனியரையும்,

And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite,

அர்வாதியரையும், செமாரியரையும், காமாத்தியரையும் பெற்றான்.

And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

சேமின் குமாரர், ஏலாம், அசூர், அர்பக்சாத், லூத், ஆராம், ஊத்ஸ், கூல், கேத்தெர், மேசக் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

அர்பக்சாத் சாலாவைப் பெற்றான்; சாலா ஏபேரைப் பெற்றான்.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

ஏபேருக்கு இரண்டு குமாரர் பிறந்தார்கள்; ஒருவன் பேர் பேலேகு, ஏனெனில் அவன் நாட்களில் பூமி பகுக்கப்பட்டது; அவன் சகோதரன் பேர் யொக்தான்.

And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; because in his days the earth was divided: and his brother's name was Joktan.

யொக்தான் அல்மோதாதையும், சாலேப்பையும், ஆசர்மாவேத்தையும், யேராகையும்,

And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah,

அதோராமையும், ஊசாலையும், திக்லாவையும்,

Hadoram also, and Uzal, and Diklah,

ஏபாலையும், அபிமாவேலையும், சேபாவையும்,

And Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba,

ஓப்பீரையும், ஆவிலாவையும், யோபாபையும், பெற்றான்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் யொக்தானின் குமாரர்.

And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

சேம், அர்பக்சாத், சாலா,

Shem, Arphaxad, Shelah,

ஏபேர், பேலேகு, ரெகூ,

Eber, Peleg, Reu,

செரூகு, நாகோர், தேராகு,

Serug, Nahor, Terah,

ஆபிராமாகிய ஆபிரகாம்.

Abram; the same is Abraham.

ஆபிரகாமின் குமாரர், ஈசாக்கு, இஸ்மவேல் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.

இவர்களுடைய சந்ததிகளாவன: இஸ்மவேலின் மூத்த குமாரனாகிய நெபாயோத், கேதார், அத்பியேல், மிப்சாம்,

These are their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam,

மிஷ்மா, தூமா, மாசா, ஆதாத், தேமா,

Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema,

யெத்தூர், நாபீஸ், கேத்மா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் இஸ்மவேலின் குமாரர்.

Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

ஆபிரகாமின் மறுமனையாட்டியாகிய கேத்தூராள் பெற்ற குமாரர், சிம்ரான், யக்க்ஷான், மேதான், மீதியான், இஸ்பாக், சூவா என்பவர்கள்; யக்க்ஷானின் குமாரர், சேபா, தேதான் என்பவர்கள்.

Now the sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bare Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan; Sheba, and Dedan.

மீதியானின் குமாரர், ஏப்பா, ஏப்பேர், ஆனோக்கு, அபீதா, எல்தாகா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் கேத்தூராளின் குமாரர்.

And the sons of Midian; Ephah, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these are the sons of Keturah.

ஆபிரகாம் ஈசாக்கைப் பெற்றான்; ஈசாக்கின் குமாரர், ஏசா, இஸ்ரவேல் என்பவர்கள்.

And Abraham begat Isaac. The sons of Isaac; Esau and Israel.

ஏசாவின் குமாரர், எலீப்பாஸ், ரெகுவேல், எயூஷ், யாலாம், கோராகு என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Esau; Eliphaz, Reuel, and Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.

எலீப்பாசின் குமாரர், தேமான், ஓமார், செப்பி, கத்தாம், கேனாஸ், திம்னா, அமலேக்கு என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Eliphaz; Teman, and Omar, Zephi, and Gatam, Kenaz, and Timna, and Amalek.

ரெகுவேலின் குமாரர், நகாத், சேராகு, சம்மா, மீசா என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Reuel; Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah.

சேயீரின் குமாரர், லோத்தான், சோபால், சிபியோன், ஆனா, தீசோன், எத்சேர், தீசான் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Seir; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah, and Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan.

லோத்தானின் குமாரர், ஓரி, ஓமாம் என்பவர்கள்; லோத்தானின் சகோதரி திம்னாள் என்பவள்.

And the sons of Lotan; Hori, and Homam: and Timna was Lotan's sister.

சோபாலின் குமாரர், அல்வான், மானகாத், ஏபால், செப்பி, ஓனாம் என்பவர்கள்; சிபியோனின் குமாரர், அயா, ஆனாகு என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Shobal; Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shephi, and Onam. And the sons of Zibeon; Aiah, and Anah.

ஆனாகின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் திஷோன் என்பவன்; திஷோனின் குமாரர், அம்ராம், எஸ்பான், இத்தரான், கெரான் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

ஏத்சேரின் குமாரர், பில்கான், சகவான், யாக்கான் என்பவர்கள்; திஷானின் குமாரர் ஊத்ஸ், அரான் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Ezer; Bilhan, and Zavan, and Jakan. The sons of Dishan; Uz, and Aran.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரை ஒரு இராஜா ஆளாததற்குமுன்னே, ஏதோம் தேசத்தில் அரசாண்ட இராஜாக்களானவர்கள்: பேயோரின் குமாரன் பேலா என்பவன்; இவன் பட்டணத்தின் பேர் தின்காபா.

Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the children of Israel; Bela the son of Beor: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.

பேலா மரித்தபின் போஸ்ரா ஊரானாகிய சேராகின் குமாரன் யோபாப் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

யோபாப் மரித்தபின், தேமானியரின் தேசத்தானாகிய ஊசாம் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

ஊசாம் மரித்தபின், பேதாதின் குமாரன் ஆதாத் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் இராஜாவானான், இவன் மீதியானியரை மோவாபின் நாட்டிலே முறிய அடித்தவன்; இவன் பட்டணத்தின் பேர் ஆவீத்.

And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.

ஆதாத் மரித்தபின், மஸ்ரேக்கா ஊரானாகிய சம்லா அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

சம்லா மரித்தபின், நதியோரமான ரேகோபோத்தானாகிய சவுல் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

சவுல் மரித்தபின், அக்போரின் குமாரன் பாகாலானான் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் இராஜாவானான்.

And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

பாகாலானான் மரித்தபின், ஆதாத் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் இராஜாவானான்; இவன் பட்டணத்தின் பேர் பாகி; மேசகாபின் குமாரத்தியாகிய மாத்திரேத்தின் மகளான அவன் மனைவியின் பேர் மெகேதபேல்.

And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.

ஆதாத் மரித்தபின், ஏதோமில் ஏற்பட்ட பிரபுக்களானவர்கள்; திம்னா பிரபு, அல்யா பிரபு, எதேத் பிரபு,

Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,

அகோலிபாமா பிரபு, ஏலா பிரபு, பினோன் பிரபு,

Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,

கேனாஸ் பிரபு, தேமான் பிரபு, மிப்சார் பிரபு,

Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,

மக்தியேல் பிரபு, ஈராம் பிரபு, இவர்களே ஏதோமின் பிரபுக்கள்.

Duke Magdiel, duke Iram. These are the dukes of Edom.

இஸ்ரவேலின் குமாரர், ரூபன், சிமியோன், லேவி, யூதா, இசக்கார், செபுலோன்,

These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,

தாண், யோசேப்பு, பென்யமீன், நப்தலி, காத், ஆசேர் என்பவர்கள்;

Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.

யூதாவின் குமாரர், ஏர், ஓனான், சேலா என்பவர்கள்; இந்த மூன்று குமாரர் சூவாவின் மகளான கானான் ஸ்திரீயினிடத்தில் அவனுக்குப் பிறந்தவர்கள்; ஏர் என்னும் யூதாவின் மூத்த குமாரன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாதவனானபடியால் அவர் அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டார்.

The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.

And Tamar his daughter in law bare him Pharez and Zerah. All the sons of Judah were five.

The sons of Pharez; Hezron, and Hamul.

சேராவின் குமாரர் எல்லாரும் சிம்ரி, ஏத்தான், ஏமான், கல்கோல், தாரா என்னும் ஐந்துபேர்.

And the sons of Zerah; Zimri, and Ethan, and Heman, and Calcol, and Dara: five of them in all.

சாபத்தீடான விஷயத்திலே துரோகம்பண்ணி இஸ்ரவேலைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணின ஆகார் என்பவன், கர்மீ புத்திரரில் ஒருவன்.

And the sons of Carmi; Achar, the troubler of Israel, who transgressed in the thing accursed.

ஏத்தானின் குமாரர் அசரியா முதலானவர்கள்.

And the sons of Ethan; Azariah.

எஸ்ரோனுக்குப் பிறந்த குமாரர், யெர்மெயேல், ராம், கெலுபா என்பவர்கள்.

The sons also of Hezron, that were born unto him; Jerahmeel, and Ram, and Chelubai.

ராம் அம்மினதாபைப் பெற்றான்; அம்மினதாப் யூதா புத்திரரின் பிரபுவாகிய நகசோனைப் பெற்றான்.

And Ram begat Amminadab; and Amminadab begat Nahshon, prince of the children of Judah;

நகசோன் சல்மாவைப் பெற்றான்; சல்மா போவாசைப் பெற்றான்.

And Nahshon begat Salma, and Salma begat Boaz,

போவாஸ் ஓபேதைப் பெற்றான்; ஓபேத் ஈசாயைப் பெற்றான்.

And Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse,

ஈசாய் தன் மூத்த குமாரன் எலியாபையும், அபினதாப் என்னும் இரண்டாம் குமாரனையும், சம்மா என்னும் மூன்றாம் குமாரனையும்,

And Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third,

நெதனெயேல் என்னும் நாலாம் குமாரனையும், ரதாயி என்னும் ஐந்தாம் குமாரனையும்,

Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth,

ஓத்சேம் என்னும் ஆறாம் குமாரனையும், தாவீது என்னும் எட்டாம் குமாரனையும் பெற்றான்.

Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:

அவர்கள் சகோதரிகள் செருயாள், அபிகாயில் என்பவர்கள்; செருயாளின் குமாரர், அபிசாய், யோவாப், ஆசகேல் என்னும் மூன்றுபேர்.

Whose sisters were Zeruiah, and Abigail. And the sons of Zeruiah; Abishai, and Joab, and Asahel, three.

அபிகாயில் அமாசாவைப் பெற்றாள்; அமாசாவின் தகப்பன் இஸ்மவேலியனாகிய யெத்தேர் என்பவன்.

And Abigail bare Amasa: and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmeelite.

எஸ்ரோனின் குமாரன் காலேப் எரீயோத் என்னப்பட்ட தன் பெண்ஜாதியாகிய அசுபாளாலே பெற்ற குமாரர், ஏசேர், சோபாப், அர்தோன் என்பவர்கள்.

And Caleb the son of Hezron begat children of Azubah his wife, and of Jerioth: her sons are these; Jesher, and Shobab, and Ardon.

அசுபாள் சென்றுபோனபின் காலேப் எப்ராத்தை விவாகம்பண்ணினான்; இவள் அவனுக்கு ஊரைப் பெற்றாள்.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took unto him Ephrath, which bare him Hur.

ஊர் ஊரியைப் பெற்றான்; ஊரி பெசலெயேலைப் பெற்றான்.

And Hur begat Uri, and Uri begat Bezaleel.

பிற்பாடு, எஸ்ரோன் அறுபது வயதானபோது கிலெயாத்தின் தகப்பனாகிய மாகீரின் குமாரத்தியை விவாகம்பண்ணி, அவளிடத்தில் பிரவேசித்தான்; இவள் அவனுக்குச் செகூபைப் பெற்றாள்.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he married when he was threescore years old; and she bare him Segub.

And Segub begat Jair, who had three and twenty cities in the land of Gilead.

கேசூரையும், ஆராமையும் யாவீரின் கிராமங்களையும், கேனாத்திலுள்ள கிராமங்களாகிய அறுபது ஊர்களையும் அவர்கள் கையிலே வாங்கினார்கள்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் கிலெயாத்தின் தகப்பனாகிய மாகீரின் குமாரர்.

And he took Geshur, and Aram, with the towns of Jair, from them, with Kenath, and the towns thereof, even threescore cities. All these belonged to the sons of Machir the father of Gilead.

காலேபின் ஊரான எப்ராத்தாவில் எஸ்ரோன் இறந்துபோனபின், எஸ்ரோனின் பெண்ஜாதியாகிய அபியாள் அவனுக்குத் தெக்கொவாவின் தகப்பனாகிய அசூரைப் பெற்றாள்.

And after that Hezron was dead in Calebephratah, then Abiah Hezron's wife bare him Ashur the father of Tekoa.

எஸ்ரோனுக்கு முதற்பிறந்த யெர்மெயேலின் குமாரர், ராம் என்னும் மூத்தவனும், பூனா, ஓரென், ஓத்சேம், அகியா என்பவர்களுமே.

And the sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were, Ram the firstborn, and Bunah, and Oren, and Ozem, and Ahijah.

அத்தாராள் என்னும் பேருள்ள வேறொரு மனைவியும் யெர்மெயேலுக்கு இருந்தாள்; இவள் ஓனாமின் தாய்.

Jerahmeel had also another wife, whose name was Atarah; she was the mother of Onam.

யெர்மெயேலுக்கு முதற்பிறந்த ராமின் குமாரர், மாஸ், யாமின், எக்கேர் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were, Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker.

ஓனாமின் குமாரர், சம்மாய், யாதா என்பவர்கள்; சம்மாயின் குமாரர் நாதாப், அபிசூர் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Onam were, Shammai, and Jada. And the sons of Shammai; Nadab, and Abishur.

அபிசூருடைய மனைவியின் பேர் அபியாயேல்; அவள் அவனுக்கு அக்பானையும் மோளிதையும் பெற்றாள்.

And the name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail, and she bare him Ahban, and Molid.

நாதாபின் குமாரர், சேலேத், அப்பாயிம் என்பவர்கள்; சேலேத் புத்திரரில்லாமல் மரித்தான்.

And the sons of Nadab; Seled, and Appaim: but Seled died without children.

அப்பாயிமின் குமாரர் இஷி முதலானவர்கள்; இஷியின் குமாரர் சேசான் முதலானவர்கள்; சேசானின் குமாரத்தி அக்லாய்.

And the sons of Appaim; Ishi. And the sons of Ishi; Sheshan. And the children of Sheshan; Ahlai.

சம்மாயின் சகோதரனாகிய யாதாவின் குமாரர், யெத்தெர், யோனத்தான் என்பவர்கள்; யெத்தெர் குமாரரில்லாமல் மரித்தான்.

And the sons of Jada the brother of Shammai; Jether, and Jonathan: and Jether died without children.

யோனத்தானின் குமாரர், பேலேத், சாசா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் யெர்மெயேலின் புத்திரர்.

And the sons of Jonathan; Peleth, and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel.

சேசானுக்குக் குமாரத்திகளேயன்றி குமாரர்கள் இல்லை; சேசானுக்கு யர்கா என்னும் பேருள்ள எகிப்திய வேலைக்காரன் ஒருவன் இருந்தான்.

Now Sheshan had no sons, but daughters. And Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha.

சேசான் தன் குமாரத்தியைத் தன் வேலைக்காரனாகிய யர்காவுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; அவள் அவனுக்கு அத்தாயியைப் பெற்றாள்.

And Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant to wife; and she bare him Attai.

அத்தாயி நாதானைப் பெற்றான். நாதான் சாபாதைப் பெற்றான்.

And Attai begat Nathan, and Nathan begat Zabad,

சாபாத் எப்லாலைப் பெற்றான்; எப்லால் ஓபேதைப் பெற்றான்.

And Zabad begat Ephlal, and Ephlal begat Obed,

ஓபேத் ஏகூவைப் பெற்றான்; ஏகூ அசரியாவைப் பெற்றான்.

And Obed begat Jehu, and Jehu begat Azariah,

அசரியா எலேத்சைப் பெற்றான்; ஏலெத்ஸ் எலெயாசாவைப் பெற்றான்.

And Azariah begat Helez, and Helez begat Eleasah,

எலெயாசா சிஸ்மாயைப் பெற்றான்; சிஸ்மாய் சல்லூமைப் பெற்றான்.

And Eleasah begat Sisamai, and Sisamai begat Shallum,

சல்லூம் எக்கமியாவைப் பெற்றான்; எக்கமியா எலிசாமாவைப் பெற்றான்.

And Shallum begat Jekamiah, and Jekamiah begat Elishama.

யெர்மெயேலின் சகோதரனாகிய காலேபின் குமாரர், சீப்பின் தகப்பனாகிய மேசா என்னும் முதற்பிறந்தவனும், எப்ரோனின் தகப்பனாகிய மெரேசாவின் குமாரருமே.

Now the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were, Mesha his firstborn, which was the father of Ziph; and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron.

எப்ரோனின் குமாரர், கோராகு, தப்புவா, ரெக்கேம், செமா என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Hebron; Korah, and Tappuah, and Rekem, and Shema.

செமா யோர்க்கேயாமின் தகப்பனாகிய ரெக்கேமைப் பெற்றான்; ரெக்கேம் சம்மாயைப் பெற்றான்.

And Shema begat Raham, the father of Jorkoam: and Rekem begat Shammai.

சம்மாயின் குமாரன் மாகோன்; மாகோன் பெத்சூரின் தகப்பன்.

And the son of Shammai was Maon: and Maon was the father of Bethzur.

காலேபின் மறுமனையாட்டியாகிய எப்பாள் ஆரானையும், மோசாவையும், காசேசையும் பெற்றாள்; ஆரான் காசேசைப் பெற்றான்.

And the sons of Jahdai; Regem, and Jotham, and Geshan, and Pelet, and Ephah, and Shaaph.

Maachah, Caleb's concubine, bare Sheber, and Tirhanah.

அவள் மத்மன்னாவின் தகப்பனாகிய சாகாபையும், மக்பேனாவுக்கும் கீபேயாவுக்கும் தகப்பனாகிய சேவாவையும் பெற்றாள்; காலேபின் குமாரத்தி அக்சாள் என்பவள்.

She bare also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah, and the father of Gibea: and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

எப்ராத்தாளிடத்தில் முதற்பிறந்த ஊருடைய குமாரனாகிய காலேபின் குமாரர், கீரியாத்யாரீமின் மூப்பனான சோபாலும்,

These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephratah; Shobal the father of Kirjathjearim,

பெத்லெகேமின் மூப்பனான சல்மாவும், பெத்காதேரின் மூப்பனான ஆரேப்புமே.

Salma the father of Bethlehem, Hareph the father of Bethgader.

கீரியாத்யாரிமின் மூப்பனான சோபாலின் குமாரர், ஆரோவே, ஆசியம் மெனுகோத் என்பவர்கள்.

And Shobal the father of Kirjathjearim had sons; Haroeh, and half of the Manahethites.

கீரியாத்யாரிமிலிருந்த வம்சங்கள், எத்திரியரும் பூகியரும் சுமாத்தியரும் மிஸ்ராவியருமே; இவர்களிடத்தில் சோராத்தியரும், எஸ்தவோலியரும் பிறந்தார்கள்.

And the families of Kirjathjearim; the Ithrites, and the Puhites, and the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; of them came the Zareathites, and the Eshtaulites.

சல்மாவின் சந்ததிகள், பெத்லெகேமியரும், நேத்தோப்பாத்தியரும், பெத்யோவாப் என்னும் அதரோத் ஊராரும், மானாத்தியரிலும் சோரியரிலும் பாதி ஜனங்களுமே.

The sons of Salma; Bethlehem, and the Netophathites, Ataroth, the house of Joab, and half of the Manahethites, the Zorites.

யாபேசில் குடியிருந்த கணக்கரின் வம்சங்கள், திராத்தியரும் சிமாத்தியரும் சுக்காத்தியருமே; ரேகாப் வீட்டாரின் தகப்பனாகிய அம்மாத்தின் சந்ததியாரான கேனியர் இவர்களே.

And the families of the scribes which dwelt at Jabez; the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and Suchathites. These are the Kenites that came of Hemath, the father of the house of Rechab.

எபிரெயர் அத்தியாயம் 12

ஆகையால், மேகம்போன்ற இத்தனை திரளான சாட்சிகள் நம்மைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டிருக்க, பாரமான யாவற்றையும், நம்மைச் சுற்றி நெருங்கிநிற்கிற பாவத்தையும் தள்ளிவிட்டு, விசுவாசத்தைத் துவக்குகிறவரும் முடிக்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிற இயேசுவை நோக்கி, நமக்கு நியமித்திருக்கிற ஓட்டத்தில் பொறுமையோடே ஓடக்கடவோம்;

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

அவர் தமக்குமுன் வைத்திருந்த சந்தோஷத்தின்பொருட்டு, அவமானத்தை எண்ணாமல், சிலுவையைச் சகித்து, தேவனுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின் வலதுபாரிசத்தில் வீற்றிருக்கிறார்.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் இளைப்புள்ளவர்களாய் உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களில் சோர்ந்துபோகாதபடிக்கு, தமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவிகளால் செய்யப்பட்ட இவ்விதமான விபரீதங்களைச் சகித்த அவரையே நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

பாவத்திற்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போராடுகிறதில் இரத்தஞ்சிந்தப்படத்தக்கதாக நீங்கள் இன்னும் எதிர்த்து நிற்கவில்லையே.

Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

அன்றியும்: என் மகனே, கர்த்தருடைய சிட்சையை அற்பமாக எண்ணாதே, அவரால் கடிந்துகொள்ளப்படும்போது சோர்ந்துபோகாதே.

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

கர்த்தர் எவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறாரோ அவனை அவர் சிட்சித்து, தாம் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளுகிற எந்த மகனையும் தண்டிக்கிறார் என்று பிள்ளைகளுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறதுபோல உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லியிருக்கிற புத்திமதியை மறந்தீர்கள்.

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

நீங்கள் சிட்சையைச் சகிக்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால் தேவன் உங்களைப் புத்திரராக எண்ணி நடத்துகிறார்; தகப்பன் சிட்சியாத புத்திரனுண்டோ?

If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

எல்லாருக்கும் கிடைக்கும் சிட்சை உங்களுக்குக் கிடையாதிருந்தால் நீங்கள் புத்திரராயிராமல் வேசிப்பிள்ளைகளாயிருப்பீர்களே.

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

அன்றியும், நம்முடைய சரீரத்தின் தகப்பன்மார்கள் நம்மைச் சிட்சிக்கும்போது, அவர்களுக்கு நாம் அஞ்சி நடந்திருக்க, நாம் பிழைக்கத்தக்கதாக ஆவிகளின் பிதாவுக்கு வெகு அதிகமாய் அடங்கி நடக்கவேண்டுமல்லவா?

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

அவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு நலமென்று தோன்றினபடி கொஞ்சக்காலம் சிட்சித்தார்கள்; இவரோ தம்முடைய பரிசுத்தத்துக்கு நாம் பங்குள்ளவர்களாகும் பொருட்டு நம்முடைய பிரயோஜனத்துக்காகவே நம்மைச் சிட்சிக்கிறார்.

For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

எந்தச் சிட்சையும் தற்காலத்தில் சந்தோஷமாய்க் காணாமல் துக்கமாய்க் காணும்; ஆகிலும் பிற்காலத்தில் அதில் பழகினவர்களுக்கு அது நீதியாகிய சமாதான பலனைத் தரும்.

Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

ஆகையினால், நெகிழ்ந்த கைகளையும் தளர்ந்த முழங்கால்களையும் நீங்கள் திரும்ப நிமிர்த்தி,

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;

முடமாயிருக்கிறது பிசகிப்போகாமல் சொஸ்தமாகும்படிக்கு, உங்கள் பாதங்களுக்கு வழிகளைச் செவ்வைப்படுத்துங்கள்.

And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.

யாவரோடும் சமாதானமாயிருக்கவும், பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவர்களாயிருக்கவும் நாடுங்கள்; பரிசுத்தமில்லாமல் ஒருவனும் கர்த்தரைத் தரிசிப்பதில்லையே.

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

ஒருவனும் தேவனுடைய கிருபையை இழந்துபோகாதபடிக்கும் யாதொரு கசப்பான வேர் முளைத்தெழும்பிக் கலக்கமுண்டாக்குகிறதினால் அநேகர் தீட்டுப்படாதபடிக்கும்,

Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

ஒருவனும் வேசிக்கள்ளனாகவும், ஒருவேளைப் போஜனத்துக்காகத் தன் சேஷ்டபுத்திரபாகத்தை விற்றுப்போட்ட ஏசாவைப்போலச் சீர்கெட்டவனாகவும் இராதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.

Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.

ஏனென்றால், பிற்பாடு அவன் ஆசீர்வாதத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ள விரும்பியும் ஆகாதவனென்று தள்ளப்பட்டதை அறிவீர்கள்; அவன் கண்ணீர்விட்டு, கவலையோடே தேடியும் மனம் மாறுதலைக் காணாமற்போனான்.

For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

அன்றியும், தொடக்கூடியதும், அக்கினி பற்றியெரிகிறதுமான மலையினிடத்திற்கும், மந்தாரம் இருள் பெருங்காற்று ஆகிய இவைகளினிடத்திற்கும்,

For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

எக்காளமுழக்கத்தினிடத்திற்கும், வார்த்தைகளுடைய சத்தத்தினிடத்திற்கும், நீங்கள் வந்து சேரவில்லை; அந்தச் சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டவர்கள் பின்னும் தங்களுக்கு வார்த்தை சொல்லப்படாதபடிக்கு வேண்டிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

ஏனெனில் ஒரு மிருகமாகிலும் மலையைத் தொட்டால், அது கல்லெறியுண்டு, அல்லது அம்பினால் எய்யுண்டு சாகவேண்டுமென்று சொல்லப்பட்ட கட்டளையைச் சகிக்கமாட்டாதிருந்தார்கள்.

For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

மோசேயும்: நான் மிகவும் பயந்து நடுங்குகிறேன் என்று சொல்லத்தக்கதாக அந்தக் காட்சி அவ்வளவு பயங்கரமாயிருந்தது.

And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

நீங்களோ சீயோன் மலையினிடத்திற்கும், ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய நகரமாகிய பரம எருசலேமினிடத்திற்கும், ஆயிரம்பதினாயிரமான தேவதூதர்களினிடத்திற்கும்,

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

பரலோகத்தில் பேரெழுதியிருக்கிற முதற்பேறானவர்களின் சர்வசங்கமாகிய சபையினிடத்திற்கும், யாவருக்கும் நியாயாதிபதியாகிய தேவனிடத்திற்கும், பூரணராக்கப்பட்ட நீதிமான்களுடைய ஆவிகளினிடத்திற்கும்,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

புது உடன்படிக்கையின் மத்தியஸ்தராகிய இயேசுவினிடத்திற்கும், ஆபேலினுடைய இரத்தம் பேசினதைப்பார்க்கிலும் நன்மையானவைகளைப் பேசுகிற இரத்தமாகிய தெளிக்கப்படும் இரத்தத்தினிடத்திற்கும் வந்துசேர்ந்தீர்கள்.

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

பேசுகிறவருக்கு நீங்கள் செவிகொடுக்கமாட்டோமென்று விலகாதபடி எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்; ஏனெனில், பூமியிலே பேசினவருக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கமாட்டோமென்று விலகினவர்கள் தப்பிப்போகாமலிருக்க, பரலோகத்திலிருந்து பேசுகிறவரை நாம் விட்டுவிலகினால் எப்படித் தப்பிப்போவோம்?

See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

அவருடைய சத்தம் அப்பொழுது பூமியை அசையப்பண்ணிற்று; இன்னும் ஒருதரம் நான் பூமியை மாத்திரமல்ல, வானத்தையும் அசையப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று இப்பொழுது வாக்குத்தத்தஞ்செய்திருக்கிறார்.

Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.

இன்னும் ஒருதரம் என்கிற சொல்லானது அசையாதவைகள் நிலைத்திருக்கத்தக்கதாக, அசைவுள்ளவைகள் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டவைகள்போல் மாறிப்போகும் என்பதைக் குறிக்கிறது.

And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

ஆதலால், அசைவில்லாத ராஜ்யத்தைப் பெறுகிறவர்களாகிய நாம் பயத்தோடும் பக்தியோடும் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாய் ஆராதனை செய்யும்படி கிருபையைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளக்கடவோம்.

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:

நம்முடைய தேவன் பட்சிக்கிற அக்கினியாயிருக்கிறாரே.

For our God is a consuming fire.

எபிரெயர் அத்தியாயம் 13

சகோதர சிநேகம் நிலைத்திருக்கக்கடவது.

Let brotherly love continue.

அந்நியரை உபசரிக்க மறவாதிருங்கள்; அதினாலே சிலர் அறியாமல் தேவதூதரையும் உபசரித்ததுண்டு.

Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிறவர்களோடே நீங்களும் கட்டப்பட்டவர்கள்போல அவர்களை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நீங்களும் சரீரத்தோடிருக்கிறவர்களென்று அறிந்து, தீங்கனுபவிக்கிறவர்களை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.

விவாகம் யாவருக்குள்ளும் கனமுள்ளதாயும், விவாகமஞ்சம் அசுசிப்படாததாயுமிருப்பதாக; வேசிக்கள்ளரையும் விபசாரக்காரரையும் தேவன் நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார்.

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

நீங்கள் பண ஆசையில்லாதவர்களாய் நடந்து, உங்களுக்கு இருக்கிறவைகள் போதுமென்று எண்ணுங்கள்; நான் உன்னைவிட்டு விலகுவதுமில்லை, உன்னைக் கைவிடுவதுமில்லை என்று அவர் சொல்லியிருக்கிறாரே.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

அதினாலே நாம் தைரியங்கொண்டு: கர்த்தர் எனக்குச் சகாயர், நான் பயப்படேன், மனுஷன் எனக்கு என்ன செய்வான் என்று சொல்லலாமே.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

தேவவசனத்தை உங்களுக்குப் போதித்து உங்களை நடத்தினவர்களை நீங்கள் நினைத்து, அவர்களுடைய நடக்கையின் முடிவை நன்றாய்ச் சிந்தித்து, அவர்களுடைய விசுவாசத்தைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள்.

Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

இயேசுகிறிஸ்து நேற்றும் இன்றும் என்றும் மாறாதவராயிருக்கிறார்.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

பலவிதமான அந்நிய போதனைகளால் அலைப்புண்டு திரியாதிருங்கள். போஜன பதார்த்தங்களினாலல்ல, கிருபையினாலே இருதயம் ஸ்திரப்படுகிறது நல்லது; போஜனபதார்த்தங்களில் முயற்சிசெய்கிறவர்கள் பலனடையவில்லையே.

Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

நமக்கு ஒரு பலிபீடமுண்டு, அதற்குரியவைகளைப் புசிக்கிறதற்குக் கூடாரத்தில் ஆராதனை செய்கிறவர்களுக்கு அதிகாரமில்லை.

We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

ஏனென்றால், எந்த மிருகங்களுடைய இரத்தம் பாவங்களினிமித்தமாகப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரதான ஆசாரியனாலே கொண்டுவரப்படுகிறதோ, அந்த மிருகங்களின் உடல்கள் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே சுட்டெரிக்கப்படும்.

For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

அந்தப்படியே, இயேசுவும் தம்முடைய சொந்த இரத்தத்தினாலே ஜனத்தைப் பரிசுத்தஞ்செய்யும்படியாக நகர வாசலுக்குப் புறம்பே பாடுபட்டார்.

Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

ஆகையால், நாம் அவருடைய நிந்தையைச் சுமந்து, பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே அவரிடத்திற்குப் புறப்பட்டுப் போகக்கடவோம்.

Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

நிலையான நகரம் நமக்கு இங்கே இல்லை; வரப்போகிறதையே நாடித்தேடுகிறோம்.

For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

ஆகையால், அவருடைய நாமத்தைத் துதிக்கும் உதடுகளின் கனியாகிய ஸ்தோத்திரபலியை அவர்மூலமாய் எப்போதும் தேவனுக்குச் செலுத்தக்கடவோம்.

By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

அன்றியும் நன்மைசெய்யவும், தானதர்மம் பண்ணவும் மறவாதிருங்கள்; இப்படிப்பட்ட பலிகளின்மேல் தேவன் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.

But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

உங்களை நடத்துகிறவர்கள், உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்காக உத்தரவாதம்பண்ணுகிறவர்களாய் விழித்திருக்கிறவர்களானபடியால், அவர்கள் துக்கத்தோடே அல்ல, சந்தோஷத்தோடே அதைச் செய்யும்படி, அவர்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து அடங்குங்கள்; அவர்கள் துக்கத்தோடே அப்படிச்செய்தால் அது உங்களுக்குப் பிரயோஜனமாயிருக்கமாட்டாதே.

Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

எங்களுக்காக வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நாங்கள் நல்மனச்சாட்சியுள்ளவர்களாய் எல்லாவற்றிலும் யோக்கியமாய் நடக்க விரும்புகிறோமென்று நிச்சயித்திருக்கிறோம்.

Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

நான் அதிசீக்கிரமாய் உங்களிடத்தில் வரும்படிக்கு நீங்கள் இப்படி வேண்டிக்கொள்ளும்படி அதிகமாய்க் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.

நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையின் இரத்தத்தினாலே ஆடுகளுடைய பெரிய மேய்ப்பரான நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து ஏறிவரப்பண்ணின சமாதானத்தின் தேவன்,

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைக்கொண்டு தமக்குமுன்பாகப் பிரியமானதை உங்களில் நடப்பித்து, நீங்கள் தம்முடைய சித்தத்தின்படிசெய்ய உங்களைச் சகலவித நற்கிரியையிலும் சீர்பொருந்தினவர்களாக்குவாராக; அவருக்கு என்றென்றைக்கும் மகிமை உண்டாவதாக. ஆமென்.

Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

சகோதரரே, நான் சுருக்கமாய் உங்களுக்கு எழுதின இந்தப் புத்திமதியான வார்த்தைகளை நீங்கள் பொறுமையாய் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்படி வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.

சகோதரனாகிய தீமோத்தேயு விடுதலையாக்கப்பட்டானென்று அறிவீர்களாக; அவன் சீக்கிரமாய் வந்தால், அவனுடனேகூட நான் வந்து, உங்களைக் காண்பேன்.

Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

உங்களை நடத்துகிறவர்களையும், பரிசுத்தவான்கள் யாவரையும் வாழ்த்துங்கள். இத்தாலியா தேசத்தார் யாவரும் உங்களுக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
