2இராஜாக்கள் அத்தியாயம் 14

இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாகாசின் குமாரன் யோவாசுடைய இரண்டாம் வருஷத்திலே யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் அமத்சியா ராஜாவானான்.

In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah.

அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது இருபத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே இருபத்தொன்பது வருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணினான்; எருசலேம் நகரத்தாளான அவன் தாயின் பேர் யொவதானாள்.

He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்; ஆனாலும் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போலல்ல; தன் தகப்பனாகிய யோவாஸ் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் செய்தான்.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did.

மேடைகள் மாத்திரம் அகற்றப்படவில்லை; ஜனங்கள் இன்னும் மேடைகளின்மேல் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டி வந்தார்கள்.

Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places.

ராஜ்யபாரம் அவன் கையிலே ஸ்திரப்பட்டபோது, அவனுடைய தகப்பனாகிய ராஜாவைக் கொன்றுபோட்ட தன் ஊழியக்காரரைக் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.

And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father.

ஆனாலும் பிள்ளைகளினிமித்தம் பிதாக்கள் கொலைசெய்யப்படாமலும் பிதாக்களினிமித்தம் பிள்ளைகள் கொலைசெய்யப்படாமலும், அவனவன் செய்த பாவத்தினிமித்தம் அவனவன் கொலை செய்யப்படவேண்டும் என்று மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாண புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, கர்த்தர் கட்டளையிட்ட பிரகாரம் கொலைசெய்தவர்களின் பிள்ளைகளை அவன் கொல்லாதிருந்தான்.

But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

அவன் உப்புப்பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே ஏதோமியரில் பதினாயிரம்பேரை மடங்கடித்து, யுத்தஞ்செய்து சேலாவைப் பிடித்து, அதற்கு இந்நாள் வரைக்கும் இருக்கிற யொக்தியேல் என்னும் பேரைத் தரித்தான்.

He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day.

அப்பொழுது அமத்சியா யெகூவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாகாசின் குமாரன் யோவாஸ் என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவிடத்தில் ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பி: நம்முடைய சாமர்த்தியத்தைப் பார்ப்போம் வா என்று சொல்லச் சொன்னான்.

Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face.

அதற்கு இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸ் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அமத்சியாவுக்கு ஆள் அனுப்பி: லீபனோனிலுள்ள முட்செடியானது, லீபனோனிலுள்ள கேதுரு மரத்தை நோக்கி, நீ உன் மகளை என் மகனுக்கு மனைவியாக விவாகஞ் செய்துகொடு என்று சொல்லச்சொல்லிற்று; ஆனாலும் லீபனோனிலுள்ள ஒரு காட்டுமிருகம் அந்த வழி போகையில் ஓடி அந்த முட்செடியை மிதித்துப் போட்டது.

And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle.

நீ ஏதோமியரை முறிய அடித்ததினால் உன் இருதயம் உன்னைக் கர்வங்கொள்ளப்பண்ணினது; நீ பெருமை பாராட்டிக்கொண்டு உன் வீட்டிலே இரு; நீயும் உன்னோடேகூட யூதாவும் விழும்படிக்கு, பொல்லாப்பைத் தேடிக்கொள்வானேன் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.

Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?

ஆனாலும் அமத்சியா செவிகொடாதேபோனான்; ஆகையால், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸ் வந்தான்; யூதாவிலுள்ள பெத்ஷிமேசிலே அவனும், யூதாவின் ராஜா அமத்சியாவும், தங்கள் சாமர்த்தியத்தைப் பார்க்கிறபோது,

But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah.

யூதா ஜனங்கள் இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு முன்பாக முறிந்து அவரவர் தங்கள் கூடாரங்களுக்கு ஓடிப்போனார்கள்.

And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents.

அகசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் அமத்சியா என்னும் யூதாவின் ராஜாவையோ, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாஸ் பெத்ஷிமேசிலே பிடித்து, எருசலேமுக்கு வந்து, எருசலேமின் அலங்கத்திலே எப்பிராயீம் வாசல் தொடங்கி மூலைவாசல்மட்டும் நானூறு முழ நீளம் இடித்துப்போட்டு,

And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits.

கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலும் ராஜாவுடைய அரமனைப் பொக்கிஷங்களிலும் அகப்பட்ட பொன் வெள்ளி யாவையும், சகல பணிமுட்டுகளையும், கிரியிருப்பவர்களையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு சமாரியாவுக்குத் திரும்பிப்போனான்.

And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and hostages, and returned to Samaria.

யோவாஸ் செய்த மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவனுடைய வல்லமையும், அவன் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அமத்சியாவோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணின விதமும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

யோவாஸ் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், சமாரியாவில் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாக்களண்டையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாம் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead.

இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாகாசின் குமாரன் யோவாஸ் மரணமடைந்தபின், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் அமத்சியா பதினைந்துவருஷம் உயிரோடிருந்தான்.

And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years.

அமத்சியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

எருசலேமிலே அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கட்டுப்பாடு பண்ணினார்கள்; அப்பொழுது லாகீசுக்கு ஓடிப்போனான்; ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் அவன் பிறகே லாகீசுக்கு மனுஷரை அனுப்பி, அங்கே அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டு,

Now they made a conspiracy against him in Jerusalem: and he fled to Lachish; but they sent after him to Lachish, and slew him there.

குதிரைகள்மேல் அவனை எடுத்துக்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; அவன் எருசலேமில் இருக்கிற தாவீதின் நகரத்திலே தன் பிதாக்களண்டையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்.

And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David.

யூதா ஜனங்கள் யாவரும் பதினாறு வயதுள்ள அசரியாவை அழைத்து வந்து அவனை அவன் தகப்பனாகிய அமத்சியாவின் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவாக்கினார்கள்.

And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

ராஜா தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின்பு, இவன் ஏலாதைக் கட்டி, அதைத் திரும்ப யூதாவின் வசமாக்கிக்கொண்டான்.

He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் அமத்சியாவின் பதினைந்தாம்வருஷத்தில், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசின் குமாரன் யெரொபெயாம் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவில் நாற்பத்தொரு வருஷம் அரசாண்டு,

In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.

கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்கள் ஒன்றையும் அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

காத்தேப்பேர் ஊரானாகிய அமித்தாய் என்னும் தீர்க்கதரிசியின் குமாரன் யோனா என்னும் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனைக்கொண்டு இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லியிருந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே, அவன் ஆமாத்தின் எல்லை முதற்கொண்டு சமபூமியின் கடல்மட்டுமுள்ள இஸ்ரவேலின் எல்லைகளைத் திரும்பச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டான்.

He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher.

இஸ்ரவேலின் உபத்திரவம் மிகவும் கொடிது என்றும், அடைபட்டவனுமில்லை, விடுபட்டவனுமில்லை, இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு ஒத்தாசை செய்கிறவனுமில்லை என்றும் கர்த்தர் பார்த்தார்.

For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel.

இஸ்ரவேலின் பேரை வானத்தின் கீழிருந்து குலைத்துப்போடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லாமல், யோவாசின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் கையால் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தார்.

And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

யெரொபெயாமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், அவன் யுத்தம்பண்ணி, யூதாவுக்கு இருந்த தமஸ்குவையும் ஆமாத்தையும் இஸ்ரவேலுக்காகத் திரும்பச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்ட அவனுடைய வல்லமையும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

யெரொபெயாம் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாக்களாகிய தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், அவன் குமாரனாகிய சகரியா அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zachariah his son reigned in his stead.

இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் இருபத்தேழாம் வருஷத்தில், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அமத்சியாவின் குமாரன் அசரியா ராஜாவானான்.

In the twenty and seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது பதினாறு வயதாயிருந்து, ஐம்பத்திரண்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமிலே அரசாண்டான்; எருசலேம் நகரத்தாளான அவன் தாயின் பேர் எக்கோலியாள்.

Sixteen years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jecholiah of Jerusalem.

அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய அமத்சியா செய்தபடியெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done;

மேடைகள் மாத்திரம் அகற்றப்படவில்லை; ஜனங்கள் இன்னும் மேடைகள்மேல் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டிவந்தார்கள்.

Save that the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burnt incense still on the high places.

கர்த்தர் இந்த ராஜாவை வாதித்ததினால், அவன் தன் மரணநாள்மட்டும் குஷ்டரோகியாயிருந்து, தனித்து ஒரு வீட்டிலே வாசம்பண்ணினான்; ராஜாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோதாம் அரமனை விசாரிப்புக்காரனாயிருந்து, தேசத்தின் ஜனங்களை நியாயம் விசாரித்தான்.

And the LORD smote the king, so that he was a leper unto the day of his death, and dwelt in a several house. And Jotham the king's son was over the house, judging the people of the land.

அசரியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

And the rest of the acts of Azariah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

அசரியா தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின், அவனைத் தாவீதின் நகரத்திலே அவன் பிதாக்களண்டையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோதாம் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

So Azariah slept with his fathers; and they buried him with his fathers in the city of David: and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் முப்பத்தெட்டாம் வருஷத்திலே யெரொபெயாமின் குமாரனாகிய சகரியா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் சமாரியாவிலே ஆறுமாதம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி,

In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.

தன் பிதாக்கள் செய்ததுபோல, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லூம் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, ஜனத்தின் முன்பாக அவனை வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

And Shallum the son of Jabesh conspired against him, and smote him before the people, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

சகரியாவின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

And the rest of the acts of Zachariah, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

உன் குமாரர் நாலாம் தலைமுறை மட்டும் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வீற்றிருப்பார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் யெகூவோடே சொன்ன வார்த்தை இதுதான்; அப்படியே ஆயிற்று.

This was the word of the LORD which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons shall sit on the throne of Israel unto the fourth generation. And so it came to pass.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய உசியாவின் முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷத்தில் யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லூம் ராஜாவாகி, சமாரியாவில் ஒரு மாதம் அரசாண்டான்.

Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in Samaria.

காதியின் குமாரனாகிய மெனாகேம் திர்சாவிலிருந்து சமாரியாவுக்கு வந்து, யாபேசின் குமாரனாகிய சல்லூமைச் சமாரியாவிலே வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to Samaria, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in Samaria, and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

சல்லூமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்த கட்டுப்பாடும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

And the rest of the acts of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold, they are written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel.

அப்பொழுது மெனாகேம் திப்சா பட்டணத்தையும், அதிலுள்ள யாவையும், திர்சா தொடங்கி அதின் எல்லைகளையும் முறிய அடித்தான்; அவர்கள் தனக்கு வாசலைத் திறக்கவில்லை என்று அவர்களை வெட்டி, அவர்களுடைய கர்ப்பவதிகளையெல்லாம் கீறிப்போட்டான்.

Then Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the coasts thereof from Tirzah: because they opened not to him, therefore he smote it; and all the women therein that were with child he ripped up.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் முப்பத்தொன்பதாம் வருஷத்தில், காதியின் குமாரனாகிய மெனாகேம் இஸ்ரவேல்மேல் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவிலே பத்துவருஷம், ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி, அவன் தன் நாட்களிலெல்லாம் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in Samaria.

இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை விட்டு விலகாதிருந்தான்.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not all his days from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய பூல், தேசத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் வந்தான்; அப்பொழுது மெனாகேம் பூலின் உதவியினால் ராஜ்யபாரத்தை தன் கையில் பலப்படுத்தும்பொருட்டு, அவனுக்கு ஆயிரம் தாலந்து வெள்ளி கொடுத்தான்.

And Pul the king of Assyria came against the land: and Menahem gave Pul a thousand talents of silver, that his hand might be with him to confirm the kingdom in his hand.

இந்தப் பணத்தை அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவுக்குக் கொடுக்கும்படி, மெனாகேம் இஸ்ரவேலில் பலத்த ஐசுவரியவான்களிடத்தில் ஆள் ஒன்றிற்கு ஐம்பது வெள்ளிச் சேக்கல் தண்டினான்; அப்படியே அசீரியாவின் ராஜா தேசத்திலே நிற்காமல் திரும்பிப்போனான்.

And Menahem exacted the money of Israel, even of all the mighty men of wealth, of each man fifty shekels of silver, to give to the king of Assyria. So the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there in the land.

மெனாகேமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

And Menahem slept with his fathers; and Pekahiah his son reigned in his stead.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் ஐம்பதாம் வருஷத்தில், மெனாகேமின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காகியா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவிலே இரண்டுவருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி,

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned two years.

கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

ஆனாலும் ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்கா என்னும் அவனுடைய சேர்வைக்காரன் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, கீலேயாத் புத்திரரில் ஐம்பதுபேரைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, அவனையும் அர்கோபையும் ஆரியேயையும் ராஜாவின் வீடாகிய அரமனையிலே சமாரியாவில் வெட்டிக் கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in Samaria, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room.

யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய அசரியாவின் ஐம்பத்திரண்டாம் வருஷத்தில், ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்கா இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகி சமாரியாவிலே இருபதுவருஷம் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணி,

In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in Samaria, and reigned twenty years.

கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்; இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யப்பண்ணின நேபாத்தின் குமாரனாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் பாவங்களை அவன் விட்டு விலகவில்லை.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பெக்காவின் நாட்களில் அசீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய திகிலாத்பிலேசர் வந்து, ஈயோனையும், பெத்மாக்கா என்னும் ஆபேலையும், யனோவாகையும், கேதேசையும், ஆத்சோரையும், கீலேயாத்தையும், கலிலேயாவாகிய நப்தலி தேசமனைத்தையும் பிடித்து, குடிகளைச் சிறையாக அசீரியாவுக்குக் கொண்டுபோனான்.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel came Tiglathpileser king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abelbethmaachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and carried them captive to Assyria.

ஏலாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஓசெயா ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காவுக்கு விரோதமாய் கட்டுப்பாடுபண்ணி, அவனை உசியாவின் குமாரனாகிய யோதாமின் இருபதாம் வருஷத்தில் வெட்டிக்கொன்றுபோட்டு, அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

And Hoshea the son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah the son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham the son of Uzziah.

In the second year of Pekah the son of Remaliah king of Israel began Jotham the son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது, இருபத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே பதினாறுவருஷம் அரசாண்டான்; சாதோக்கின் குமாரத்தியாகிய அவன் தாயின் பேர் எருசாள்.

Five and twenty years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerusha, the daughter of Zadok.

அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்; தன் தகப்பனாகிய உசியா செய்தபடியெல்லாம் செய்தான்.

And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD: he did according to all that his father Uzziah had done.

மேடைகள் மாத்திரம் அகற்றப்படவில்லை; ஜனங்கள் இன்னும் மேடைகளின்மேல் பலியிட்டுத் தூபங்காட்டி வந்தார்கள்; இவன் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தின் உயர்ந்த வாசலைக் கட்டினான்.

Howbeit the high places were not removed: the people sacrificed and burned incense still in the high places. He built the higher gate of the house of the LORD.

யோதாமின் மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்களும், அவன் செய்தவை யாவும், யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புஸ்தகத்தில் அல்லவோ எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

அந்நாட்களிலே கர்த்தர் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ரேத்சீனையும், ரெமலியாவின் குமாரனாகிய பெக்காவையும் யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாக அனுப்பத்தொடங்கினார்.

In those days the LORD began to send against Judah Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah.

யோதாம் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்தபின். தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் பட்டணத்திலே தன் பிதாக்களண்டையில் அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் குமாரனாகிய ஆகாஸ் அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David his father: and Ahaz his son reigned in his stead.

பிலேமோன் அத்தியாயம் 1

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினிமித்தம் கட்டப்பட்டவனாயிருக்கிற பவுலும், சகோதரனாகிய தீமோத்தேயும், எங்களுக்குப் பிரியமுள்ளவனும் உடன்வேலையாளுமாயிருக்கிற பிலேமோனுக்கும்,

Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ, and Timothy our brother, unto Philemon our dearly beloved, and fellowlabourer,

பிரியமுள்ள அப்பியாளுக்கும், எங்கள் உடன் போர்ச்சேவகனாகிய அர்க்கிப்புவுக்கும், உம்முடைய வீட்டிலே கூடிவருகிற சபைக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது:

And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellowsoldier, and to the church in thy house:

நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும், உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவினிடத்திலும், எல்லாப் பரிசுத்தவான்களிடத்திலுமுள்ள உம்முடைய அன்பையும் உம்முடைய விசுவாசத்தையும் நான் கேள்விப்பட்டு,

I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,

என் ஜெபங்களில் உம்மை நினைத்து, எப்பொழுதும் என் தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரஞ்செய்து,

Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

உங்களிலுள்ள சகல நன்மைகளும் தெரியப்படுகிறதினாலே உம்முடைய விசுவாசத்தின் அந்நியோந்நியம் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்காகப் பயன்படவேண்டுமென்று வேண்டுதல்செய்கிறேன்.

That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.

சகோதரனே, பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய உள்ளங்கள் உம்மாலே இளைப்பாறினபடியால், உம்முடைய அன்பினாலே மிகுந்த சந்தோஷமும் ஆறுதலும் அடைந்திருக்கிறோம்.

For we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother.

ஆகையால், பவுலாகிய நான் முதிர்வயதுள்ளவனாகவும், இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினிமித்தம் இப்பொழுது கட்டப்பட்டவனாகவும் இருக்கிறபடியால்,

Wherefore, though I might be much bold in Christ to enjoin thee that which is convenient,

நீர் செய்யத்தக்கதை உமக்குக் கட்டளையிடும்படிக்குக் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் நான் துணியத்தக்கவனாயிருந்தாலும், அப்படிச் செய்யாமல், அன்பினிமித்தம் மன்றாடுகிறேன்.

Yet for love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

என்னவென்றால், கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கையில் நான் பெற்ற என் மகனாகிய ஒநேசிமுக்காக உம்மை மன்றாடுகிறேன்.

I beseech thee for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds:

முன்னே அவன் உமக்குப் பிரயோஜனமில்லாதவன், இப்பொழுதோ உமக்கும் எனக்கும் பிரயோஜனமுள்ளவன்.

Which in time past was to thee unprofitable, but now profitable to thee and to me:

அவனை நான் உம்மிடத்திற்கு அனுப்புகிறேன்; என் உள்ளம்போலிருக்கிற அவனை நீர் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்.

Whom I have sent again: thou therefore receive him, that is, mine own bowels:

சுவிசேஷத்தினிமித்தம் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கிற எனக்கு ஊழியஞ்செய்யும்படி உமக்குப் பதிலாக அவனை என்னிடத்தில் வைத்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டுமென்றிருந்தேன்.

Whom I would have retained with me, that in thy stead he might have ministered unto me in the bonds of the gospel:

ஆனாலும் நீர் செய்யும் நன்மையைக் கட்டாயத்தினாலல்ல, மனப்பூர்வமாய்ச் செய்யத்தக்கதாக, நான் உம்முடைய சம்மதியில்லாமல் ஒன்றும் செய்ய எனக்கு மனதில்லை.

But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

அவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் உம்முடையவனாயிருக்கும்படிக்கும், இனிமேல் அவன் அடிமையானவனாகவல்ல, அடிமையானவனுக்கு மேலானவனாகவும் பிரியமுள்ள சகோதரனாகவுமிருக்கும்படிக்கும் கொஞ்சக்காலம் உம்மைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்துபோனானாக்கும்.

For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever;

எனக்கு அவன் பிரியமான சகோதரனானால், உமக்கு சரீரத்தின்படியேயும் கர்த்தருக்குள்ளும் எவ்வளவு பிரியமுள்ளவனாயிருக்கவேண்டும்!

Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

ஆதலால், நீர் என்னை உம்மோடே ஐக்கியமானவனென்று எண்ணினால், என்னை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதுபோல அவனையும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும்.

If thou count me therefore a partner, receive him as myself.

அவன் உமக்கு யாதொரு அநியாயஞ்செய்ததும், உம்மிடத்தில் கடன்பட்டதும் உண்டானால், அதை என் கணக்கிலே வைத்துக்கொள்ளும்.

If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;

பவுலாகிய நான் இதை என் சொந்தக்கையாலே எழுதினேன், நான் அதைச் செலுத்தித் தீர்ப்பேன். நீர் உம்மைத்தாமே எனக்குக் கடனாகச் செலுத்தவேண்டுமென்று நான் உமக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டியதில்லையே.

I Paul have written it with mine own hand, I will repay it: albeit I do not say to thee how thou owest unto me even thine own self besides.

ஆம், சகோதரனே, கர்த்தருக்குள் உம்மாலே எனக்குப் பிரயோஜனமுண்டாகட்டும்; கர்த்தருக்குள் என் உள்ளத்தை இளைப்பாறப்பண்ணும்.

Yea, brother, let me have joy of thee in the Lord: refresh my bowels in the Lord.

நான் சொல்லுகிறதிலும் அதிகமாய்ச் செய்வீரென்று அறிந்து, இதற்கு நீர் இணங்குவீரென்று நிச்சயித்து, உமக்கு எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்.

Having confidence in thy obedience I wrote unto thee, knowing that thou wilt also do more than I say.

மேலும், உங்கள் விண்ணப்பங்களினாலே நான் உங்களுக்கு அநுக்கிரகிக்கப்படுவேனென்று நம்பியிருக்கிறபடியால், நான் இருக்கும்படிக்கு ஓரிடத்தை எனக்காக ஆயத்தம்பண்ணும்.

But withal prepare me also a lodging: for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you.

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினிமித்தம் என்னோடேகூடக் காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற எப்பாப்பிராவும்,

There salute thee Epaphras, my fellowprisoner in Christ Jesus;

என் உடன்வேலையாட்களாகிய மாற்குவும், அரிஸ்தர்க்கும், தேமாவும், லூக்காவும் உமக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபை உங்கள் ஆவியுடனேகூட இருப்பதாக. ஆமென்.
