யாத்திராகமம் அத்தியாயம் 33

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீயும், எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து நீ அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வந்த ஜனங்களும் இவ்விடத்தைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு. உன் சந்ததிக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று நான் ஆபிரகாமுக்கும் ஈசாக்குக்கும் யாக்கோபுக்கும் ஆணையிட்டுக்கொடுத்த பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிற தேசத்துக்குப் போங்கள்.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:

நான் ஒரு தூதனை உங்களுக்கு முன்பாக அனுப்பி, கானானியனையும் எமோரியனையும் ஏத்தியனையும் பெரிசியனையும் ஏவியனையும் எபூசியனையும் துரத்திவிடுவேன்.

And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

ஆனாலும், வழியிலே நான் உங்களை நிர்மூலம்பண்ணாதபடிக்கு, நான் உங்கள் நடுவே செல்லமாட்டேன், நீங்கள் வணங்காக்கழுத்துள்ள ஜனங்கள் என்றார்.

Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

துக்கமான இவ்வார்த்தைகளை ஜனங்கள் கேட்டபோது, ஒருவரும் தங்கள் ஆபரணங்களைப் போட்டுக்கொள்ளாமல் துக்கித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.

ஏனென்றால், நீங்கள் வணங்காக்கழுத்துள்ள ஜனங்கள், நான் ஒரு நிமிஷத்தில் உங்கள் நடுவில் எழும்பி, உங்களை நிர்மூலம்பண்ணுவேன்; ஆகையால், நீங்கள் போட்டிருக்கிற உங்கள் ஆபரணங்களைக் கழற்றிப்போடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யவேண்டியதை அறிவேன் என்று இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொல் என்று கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே சொல்லியிருந்தார்.

For the LORD had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.

ஆகையால், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் ஓரேப் மலையருகே தங்கள் ஆபரணங்களைக் கழற்றிப்போட்டார்கள்.

And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.

மோசே கூடாரத்தைப் பெயர்த்து, அதைப் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே தூரத்திலே போட்டு, அதற்கு ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரம் என்று பேரிட்டான். கர்த்தரைத்தேடும் யாவரும் பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பான ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்குப் போவார்கள்.

And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.

மோசே கூடாரத்துக்குப் போகும்போது, ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் எழுந்திருந்து, தங்கள் தங்கள் கூடாரவாசலில் நின்றுகொண்டு, அவன் கூடாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்குமட்டும், அவன் பின்னே பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.

மோசே கூடாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கையில், மேகஸ்தம்பம் இறங்கி, கூடாரவாசலில் நின்றது; கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே பேசினார்.

And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.

ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் மேகஸ்தம்பம் கூடாரவாசலில் நிற்கக்கண்டார்கள்; ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் எழுந்திருந்து, தங்கள் தங்கள் கூடாரவாசலில் பணிந்துகொண்டார்கள்.

And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.

ஒருவன் தன் சிநேகிதனோடே பேசுவதுபோல, கர்த்தர் மோசேயோடே முகமுகமாய்ப் பேசினார்; பின்பு, அவன் பாளையத்துக்குத் திரும்பினான்; நூனின் குமாரனாகிய யோசுவா என்னும் அவனுடைய பணிவிடைக்காரனாகிய வாலிபன் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தை விட்டுப் பிரியாதிருந்தான்.

And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

மோசே கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் இந்த ஜனங்களை அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோ என்று சொன்னீர்; ஆகிலும், என்னோடேகூட இன்னாரை அனுப்புவேன் என்பதை எனக்கு நீர் அறிவிக்கவில்லை; என்றாலும், உன்னைப் பேர்சொல்லி அழைத்து அறிந்திருக்கிறேன் என்றும், என் கண்களில் உனக்குக் கிருபை கிடைத்தது என்றும், தேவரீர் சொன்னதுண்டே;

And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

உம்முடைய கண்களில் இப்பொழுது எனக்குக் கிருபை கிடைத்ததானால் நான் உம்மை அறிவதற்கும், உம்முடைய கண்களில் எனக்குக் கிருபை கிடைப்பதற்கும், உம்முடைய வழியை எனக்கு அறிவியும்; இந்த ஜாதி உம்முடைய ஜனமென்று நினைத்தருளும் என்றான்.

Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

அதற்கு அவர்: என் சமுகம் உனக்கு முன்பாகச் செல்லும், நான் உனக்கு இளைப்பாறுதல் தருவேன் என்றார்.

And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

அப்பொழுது அவன் அவரை நோக்கி: உம்முடைய சமுகம் என்னோடேகூடச் செல்லாமற்போனால், எங்களை இவ்விடத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுபோகாதிரும்.

And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

எனக்கும் உமது ஜனங்களுக்கும் உம்முடைய கண்களிலே கிருபை கிடைத்ததென்பது எதினால் அறியப்படும்; நீர் எங்களோடே வருவதினால் அல்லவா? இப்படியே பூமியின்மேலுள்ள ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரிலும், நானும் உம்முடைய ஜனங்களும் விசேஷித்தவர்கள் என்று விளங்கும் என்றான்.

For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: நீ சொன்ன இந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே செய்வேன்; என் கண்களில் உனக்குக் கிருபை கிடைத்தது; உன்னைப்பேர்சொல்லி அழைத்து அறிந்திருக்கிறேன் என்றார்.

And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.

அப்பொழுது அவன்: உம்முடைய மகிமையை எனக்குக் காண்பித்தருளும் என்றான்.

And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.

அதற்கு அவர்: என்னுடைய தயையை எல்லாம் நான் உனக்கு முன்பாகக் கடந்துபோகப்பண்ணி, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தை உனக்கு முன்பாகக்கூறுவேன்; எவன்மேல் கிருபையாயிருக்கச் சித்தமாயிருப்பேனோ, அவன்மேல் கிருபையாயிருப்பேன்; எவன்மேல் இரக்கமாயிருக்கச் சித்தமாயிருப்பேனோ, அவன்மேல் இரக்கமாயிருப்பேன் என்று சொல்லி,

And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

நீ என் முகத்தைக் காணமாட்டாய், ஒரு மனுஷனும் என்னைக் கண்டு உயிரோடிருக்கக்கூடாது என்றார்.

And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர்: இதோ, என்னண்டையில் ஒரு இடம் உண்டு; நீ அங்கே கன்மலையில் நில்லு.

And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:

என் மகிமை கடந்துபோகும்போது, நான் உன்னை அந்தக் கன்மலையின் வெடிப்பிலே வைத்து, நான் கடந்துபோகுமட்டும் என் கரத்தினால் உன்னை மூடுவேன்;

And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:

பின்பு, என் கரத்தை எடுப்பேன்; அப்பொழுது என் பின்பக்கத்தைக் காண்பாய்; என் முகமோ காணப்படாது என்றார்.

And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: முந்தின கற்பலகைகளுக்கு ஒத்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை இழைத்துக்கொள்; நீ உடைத்துப்போட்ட முந்தின பலகைகளில் இருந்த வார்த்தைகளை அவைகளில் எழுதுவேன்.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.

விடியற்காலத்தில் நீ ஆயத்தமாகி, சீனாய் மலையில் ஏறி, அங்கே மலையின் உச்சியில் காலமே என் சமுகத்தில் வந்து நில்.

And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.

உன்னோடே ஒருவனும் அங்கே வரக்கூடாது; மலையிலெங்கும் ஒருவனும் காணப்படவுங்கூடாது; இந்த மலையின் சமீபத்தில் ஆடுமாடு மேயவுங்கூடாது என்றார்.

And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.

அப்பொழுது மோசே முந்தின கற்பலகைகளுக்கு ஒத்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளை இழைத்து, அதிகாலமே எழுந்திருந்து, கர்த்தர் தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே அவ்விரண்டு கற்பலகைகளையும் தன் கையிலே எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, சீனாய் மலையில் ஏறினான்.

And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

கர்த்தர் ஒரு மேகத்தில் இறங்கி, அங்கே அவன் அருகே நின்று, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக் கூறினார்.

And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.

கர்த்தர் அவனுக்கு முன்பாகக் கடந்துபோகிறபோது, அவர்: கர்த்தர், கர்த்தர்; இரக்கமும், கிருபையும், நீடிய சாந்தமும், மகா தயையும், சத்தியமுமுள்ள தேவன்.

And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,

ஆயிரம் தலைமுறைகளுக்கு இரக்கத்தைக் காக்கிறவர்; அக்கிரமத்தையும் மீறுதலையும் பாவத்தையும் மன்னிக்கிறவர்; குற்றவாளியைக் குற்றமற்றவனாக விடாமல், பிதாக்கள் செய்த அக்கிரமத்தைப் பிள்ளைகளிடத்திலும், பிள்ளைகளுடைய பிள்ளைகளிடத்திலும் மூன்றாம் நான்காம் தலைமுறைமட்டும் விசாரிக்கிறவர் என்று கூறினார்.

Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

மோசே தீவிரமாகத் தரைமட்டும் குனிந்து பணிந்துகொண்டு:

And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய கண்களில் எனக்குக் கிருபை கிடைத்ததானால், எங்கள் நடுவில் ஆண்டவர் எழுந்தருளவேண்டும்; இந்த ஜனங்கள் வணங்காக்கழுத்துள்ளவர்கள்; நீரோ, எங்கள் அக்கிரமத்தையும் எங்கள் பாவத்தையும் மன்னித்து, எங்களை உமக்குச் சுதந்தரமாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளும் என்றான்.

And he said, If now I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray thee, go among us; for it is a stiffnecked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for thine inheritance.

அதற்கு அவர்: இதோ, நான் ஒரு உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணுகிறேன்; பூமியெங்கும் எந்த ஜாதிகளிடத்திலும் செய்யப்படாத அதிசயங்களை உன் ஜனங்கள் எல்லாருக்கு முன்பாகவும் செய்வேன்; உன்னோடேகூட இருக்கிற ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரும் கர்த்தருடைய செய்கையைக் காண்பார்கள்; உன்னோடேகூட இருந்து, நான் செய்யும் காரியம் பயங்கரமாயிருக்கும்.

And he said, Behold, I make a covenant: before all thy people I will do marvels, such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation: and all the people among which thou art shall see the work of the LORD: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.

இன்று நான் உனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுகிறதைக் கைக்கொள்; எமோரியனையும், கானானியனையும், ஏத்தியனையும், பெரிசியனையும், ஏவியனையும், எபூசியனையும் உனக்கு முன்பாகத் துரத்திவிடுகிறேன்.

Observe thou that which I command thee this day: behold, I drive out before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

நீ போய்ச் சேருகிற தேசத்தின் குடிகளோடு உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிரு; பண்ணினால் அது உன் நடுவில் கண்ணியாயிருக்கும்.

Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:

அவர்களுடைய பலிபீடங்களை இடித்து, அவர்கள் சிலைகளைத் தகர்த்து, அவர்கள் தோப்புகளை வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள்.

But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves:

கர்த்தருடைய நாமம் எரிச்சலுள்ளவர் என்பது, அவர் எரிச்சலுள்ள தேவனே; ஆகையால், அந்நிய தேவனை நீ பணிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டாம்.

For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:

அந்தத் தேசத்தின் குடிகளோடே உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணுவாயானால், அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவர்களைச் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றி, தங்களுடைய தேவர்களுக்குப் பலியிடுவார்கள்; ஒருவன் உன்னை அழைக்கையில், நீ போய், அவன் பலியிட்டதிலே புசிப்பாய்;

Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

அவர்கள் குமாரத்திகளில் உன் குமாரருக்குப் பெண்களைக் கொள்ளுவாய்; அவர்கள் குமாரத்திகள் தங்கள் தேவர்களைச் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றுவதும் அல்லாமல், உன் குமாரரையும் தங்கள் தேவர்களைச் சோரமார்க்கமாய்ப் பின்பற்றும்படி செய்வார்கள்.

And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.

வார்ப்பிக்கப்பட்ட தெய்வங்களை உங்களுக்கு உண்டாக்கவேண்டாம்.

Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.

புளிப்பில்லா அப்பப்பண்டிகையை நீங்கள் கைக்கொண்டு, நான் உங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, ஆபீப் மாதத்தில் குறித்த காலத்திலே ஏழுநாள் புளிப்பில்லா அப்பம் புசிக்கக்கடவீர்கள்; ஆபீப் மாதத்திலே எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டாயே.

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.

கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கிற யாவும், உன் ஆடுமாடுகளின் தலையீற்றான ஆண்கள் யாவும் என்னுடையவைகள்.

All that openeth the matrix is mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male.

கழுதையின் தலையீற்றை ஒரு ஆட்டுக்குட்டியால் மீட்டுக்கொள்வாயாக; அதை மீட்டுக்கொள்ளாதிருந்தால் அதின் கழுத்தை முறித்துப்போடு; உன் பிள்ளைகளில் முதற்பேறானவைகளையெல்லாம் மீட்டுக்கொள்ளவேண்டும். வெறுங்கையோடே என் சந்நிதியில் ஒருவனும் வரக்கூடாது.

But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.

ஆறுநாள் வேலைசெய்து, ஏழாம் நாளிலே ஓய்ந்திருப்பாயாக; விதைப்புக் காலத்திலும் அறுப்புக் காலத்திலும் ஓய்ந்திருப்பாயாக.

Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.

கோதுமை அறுப்பின் முதற்பலனைச் செலுத்தும் ஏழு வாரங்களின் பண்டிகையையும், வருஷமுடிவிலே சேர்ப்புக்கால பண்டிகையையும் ஆசரிப்பாயாக.

And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, of the firstfruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of ingathering at the year's end.

வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுதரம் உங்கள் ஆண்மக்கள் எல்லாரும் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரின் சந்நிதியில் வரக்கடவர்கள்.

Thrice in the year shall all your men children appear before the Lord GOD, the God of Israel.

நான் புறஜாதிகளை உங்கள் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிட்டு, உங்கள் எல்லைகளை விஸ்தாரமாக்குவேன்; வருஷத்தில் மூன்றுதரம் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதிக்கு முன்பாகக் காணப்படப் போயிருக்கும்போது ஒருவரும் உங்கள் தேசத்தை இச்சிப்பதில்லை.

For I will cast out the nations before thee, and enlarge thy borders: neither shall any man desire thy land, when thou shalt go up to appear before the LORD thy God thrice in the year.

எனக்கு இடும் பலியின் இரத்தத்தைப் புளித்தமாவுடன் செலுத்தவேண்டாம்; பஸ்கா பண்டிகையின் பலியை விடியற்காலம்வரைக்கும் வைக்கவும் வேண்டாம்.

Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning.

உங்கள் நிலத்தில் முதல் முதல் விளைந்த முதற்பலத்தை உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் ஆலயத்துக்குக் கொண்டுவாருங்கள். வெள்ளாட்டுக்குட்டியை அதின் தாயின் பாலிலே சமைக்கவேண்டாம் என்றார்.

The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: இந்த வார்த்தைகளை நீ எழுது; இந்த வார்த்தைகளின்படியே உன்னோடும் இஸ்ரவேலோடும் உடன்படிக்கைபண்ணினேன் என்றார்.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

அங்கே அவன் அப்பம் புசியாமலும் தண்ணீர் குடியாமலும் இரவும் பகலும் நாற்பதுநாள் கர்த்தரோடே இருந்தான்; அவன் பத்துக்கற்பனைகளாகிய உடன்படிக்கையின் வார்த்தைகளைப் பலகைகளில் எழுதினான்.

And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

மோசே சாட்சிப் பலகைகள் இரண்டையும் தன் கையில் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, சீனாய் மலையிலிருந்து இறங்குகிறபோது, தன்னோடே அவர் பேசினதினாலே தன் முகம் பிரகாசித்திருப்பதை அவன் அறியாதிருந்தான்.

And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.

ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் எல்லாரும் மோசேயைப் பார்க்கும்போது, அவன் முகம் பிரகாசித்திருப்பதைக் கண்டு, அவன் சமீபத்தில் சேரப்பயந்தார்கள்.

And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him.

மோசே அவர்களை அழைத்தான்; அப்பொழுது ஆரோனும் சபையிலுள்ள பிரபுக்கள் யாவரும் அவனிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பி வந்தார்கள்; மோசே அவர்களோடே பேசினான்.

And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the rulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.

And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai.

மோசே அவர்களோடே பேசி முடியுமளவும், தன் முகத்தின்மேல் முக்காடு போட்டிருந்தான்.

And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a vail on his face.

மோசே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அவரோடே பேசும்படிக்கு உட்பிரவேசித்ததுமுதல் வெளியே புறப்படும்மட்டும் முக்காடு போடாதிருந்தான்; அவன் வெளியே வந்து தனக்குக் கற்பிக்கப்பட்டதை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரோடே சொல்லும்போது,

But when Moses went in before the LORD to speak with him, he took the vail off, until he came out. And he came out, and spake unto the children of Israel that which he was commanded.

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அவன் முகம் பிரகாசித்திருப்பதைக் கண்டார்கள். மோசே அவரோடே பேசும்படிக்கு உள்ளே பிரவேசிக்கும்வரைக்கும், முக்காட்டைத் திரும்பத் தன் முகத்தின்மேல் போட்டுக்கொள்ளுவான்.

And the children of Israel saw the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face shone: and Moses put the vail upon his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

மாற்கு அத்தியாயம் 15

பொழுது விடிந்தவுடனே, பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் மூப்பரும் வேதபாரகரும் ஆலோசனைச் சங்கத்தாரனைவரும் கூடி ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, இயேசுவைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டுபோய், பிலாத்துவினிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்கள்.

And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

பிலாத்து அவரை நோக்கி: நீ யூதருடைய ராஜாவா என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு அவர்: நீர் சொல்லுகிறபடிதான் என்றார்.

And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto him, Thou sayest it.

பிரதான ஆசாரியர்கள் அவர்மேல் அநேகங்குற்றங்களைச் சாட்டினார்கள். அவரோ மாறுத்தரம் ஒன்றும் சொல்லவில்லை.

And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

அப்பொழுது பிலாத்து மறுபடியும் அவரை நோக்கி: இதோ, இவர்கள் உன்மேல் எத்தனையோ குற்றங்களைச் சாட்டுகிறார்களே, அதற்கு நீ உத்தரவு ஒன்றும் சொல்லுகிறதில்லையா என்று கேட்டான்.

And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

இயேசுவோ அப்பொழுதும் உத்தரவு ஒன்றும் சொல்லவில்லை; அதினால் பிலாத்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டான்.

But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

காவல்பண்ணப்பட்டவர்களில் எவனை விடுதலையாக்க வேண்டுமென்று ஜனங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளுவார்களோ, அவனை அவர்களுக்காக விடுதலையாக்குவது பண்டிகைதோறும் பிலாத்துவுக்கு வழக்கமாயிருந்தது.

Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.

கலகம்பண்ணி அந்தக் கலகத்தில் கொலைசெய்து, அதற்காகக் காவல்பண்ணப்பட்டவர்களில் பரபாஸ் என்னப்பட்ட ஒருவன் இருந்தான்.

And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

ஜனங்கள், வழக்கத்தின்படியே தங்களுக்கு ஒருவனை விடுதலையாக்கவேண்டுமென்று சத்தமிட்டுக் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளத்தொடங்கினார்கள்.

And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

பொறாமையினாலே பிரதான ஆசாரியர்கள் அவரை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்களென்று பிலாத்து அறிந்து.

But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

அவர்களை நோக்கி: நான் யூதருடைய ராஜாவை உங்களுக்கு விடுதலையாக்கவேண்டுமென்றிருக்கிறீர்களா என்று கேட்டான்.

For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy.

பரபாசைத் தங்களுக்கு விடுதலையாக்கவேண்டுமென்று ஜனங்கள் கேட்டுக்கொள்ளும்படி, பிரதான ஆசாரியர்கள் அவர்களை ஏவிவிட்டார்கள்.

But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.

பிலாத்து மறுபடியும் அவர்களை நோக்கி: அப்படியானால், யூதருடைய ராஜாவென்று நீங்கள் சொல்லுகிறவனை நான் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டான்.

And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

அவனைச் சிலுவையில் அறையும் என்று மறுபடியும் சத்தமிட்டுச் சொன்னார்கள்.

And they cried out again, Crucify him.

அதற்குப் பிலாத்து: ஏன், என்ன பொல்லாப்புச் செய்தான் என்றான். அவர்களோ: அவனைச் சிலுவையில் அறையும் என்று பின்னும் அதிகமாய்க் கூக்குரலிட்டுச் சொன்னார்கள்.

Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.

அப்பொழுது பிலாத்து ஜனங்களைப் பிரியப்படுத்த மனதுள்ளவனாய், பரபாசை அவர்களுக்கு விடுதலையாக்கி, இயேசுவையோ வாரினால் அடிப்பித்து, சிலுவையில் அறையும்படிக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தான்.

And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

அப்பொழுது போர்ச்சேவகர் அவரைத் தேசாதிபதியின் அரமனையாகிய மாளிகையில் கொண்டுபோய், அவ்விடத்தில் போர்ச்சேவகருடைய கூட்டமுழுவதையும் கூடிவரச்செய்து,

And the soldiers led him away into the hall, called Praetorium; and they call together the whole band.

சிவப்பான மேலங்கியை அவருக்கு உடுத்தி, முள்முடியைப் பின்னி அவருக்குச் சூட்டி:

And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head,

யூதருடைய ராஜாவே, வாழ்க என்று அவரை வாழ்த்தி,

And began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

அவரைச் சிரசில் கோலால் அடித்து, அவர்மேல் துப்பி, முழங்கால்படியிட்டு அவரை வணங்கினார்கள்.

And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

அவரைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணினபின்பு, சிவப்பான அங்கியைக் கழற்றி, அவருடைய வஸ்திரங்களை அவருக்கு உடுத்தி, அவரைச் சிலுவையில் அறையும்படி வெளியே கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple from him, and put his own clothes on him, and led him out to crucify him.

சிரேனே ஊரானும், அலெக்சந்தருக்கும் ரூப்புக்கும் தகப்பனுமாகிய சீமோன் என்னப்பட்ட ஒருவன் நாட்டிலிருந்து அவ்வழியே வருகையில், அவருடைய சிலுவையைச் சுமக்கும்படி அவனைப் பலவந்தம் பண்ணினார்கள்.

And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

கபாலஸ்தலம் என்று அர்த்தங்கொள்ளும் கொல்கொதா என்னும் இடத்துக்கு அவரைக் கொண்டுபோய்,

And they bring him unto the place Golgotha, which is, being interpreted, The place of a skull.

வெள்ளைப்போளம் கலந்த திராட்சரசத்தை அவருக்குக் குடிக்கக்கொடுத்தார்கள்; அவர் அதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை.

And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh: but he received it not.

அப்பொழுது அவரைச் சிலுவையில் அறைந்தார்கள். அதன்பின்பு அவருடைய வஸ்திரங்களைப் பங்கிட்டு, ஒவ்வொருவன் ஒவ்வொரு பங்கை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளும்படி அவைகளைக்குறித்துச் சீட்டுப்போட்டார்கள்.

And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.

அவரைச் சிலுவையில் அறைந்தபோது மூன்றாம்மணி வேளையாயிருந்தது.

And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.

அவர் அடைந்த ஆக்கினையின் முகாந்தரத்தைக் காண்பிக்கும்பொருட்டு, யூதருடைய ராஜா என்று எழுதி, சிலுவையின்மேல் கட்டினார்கள்.

And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

அல்லாமலும், அவருடைய வலதுபக்கத்தில் ஒருவனும் அவருடைய இடதுபக்கத்தில் ஒருவனுமாக, இரண்டு கள்ளரை அவரோடேகூடச் சிலுவைகளில் அறைந்தார்கள்.

And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

அக்கிரமக்காரரில் ஒருவனாக எண்ணப்பட்டார் என்கிற வேதவாக்கியம் அதனாலே நிறைவேறிற்று.

And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

அந்த வழியாய் நடந்துபோகிறவர்கள் தங்கள் தலைகளைத் துலுக்கி: ஆ! ஆ! தேவாலயத்தை இடித்து, மூன்று நாளைக்குள்ளே கட்டுகிறவனே.

And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

உன்னை நீயே இரட்சித்துக்கொள்; சிலுவையிலிருந்திறங்கிவா என்று அவரைத் தூஷித்தார்கள்.

Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

அப்படியே பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் தங்களுக்குள்ளே பரியாசம்பண்ணி: மற்றவர்களை இரட்சித்தான், தன்னைத்தான் இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளத்திராணியில்லை.

Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

நாம் கண்டு விசுவாசிக்கத்தக்கதாக இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு ராஜாவாகிய கிறிஸ்து இப்பொழுது சிலுவையிலிருந்திறங்கட்டும் என்று சொல்லிக்கொண்டார்கள். அவரோடேகூடச் சிலுவைகளில் அறையப்பட்டவர்களும் அவரை நிந்தித்தார்கள்.

Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

ஆறாம்மணி நேரமுதல் ஒன்பதாம்மணி நேரம்வரைக்கும் பூமியெங்கும் அந்தகாரம் உண்டாயிற்று.

And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

ஒன்பதாம்மணி நேரத்திலே, இயேசு: எலோயீ! எலோயீ! லாமா சபக்தானி, என்று மிகுந்த சத்தமிட்டுக் கூப்பிட்டார்; அதற்கு: என் தேவனே! என் தேவனே! ஏன் என்னைக் கைவிட்டீர் என்று அர்த்தமாம்.

And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

அங்கே நின்றவர்களில் சிலர் அதைக் கேட்டபொழுது: இதோ, எலியாவைக் கூப்பிடுகிறான் என்றார்கள்.

And some of them that stood by, when they heard it, said, Behold, he calleth Elias.

ஒருவன் ஓடி, கடற்காளானைக் காடியிலே தோய்த்து, அதை ஒரு கோலில் மாட்டி, அவருக்குக் குடிக்கக்கொடுத்து: பொறுங்கள், எலியா இவனை இறக்கவருவானோ பார்ப்போம் என்றான்.

And one ran and filled a spunge full of vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone; let us see whether Elias will come to take him down.

இயேசு மகா சத்தமாய்க் கூப்பிட்டு ஜீவனை விட்டார்.

And Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.

அப்பொழுது, தேவாலயத்தின் திரைச்சீலை மேல்தொடங்கிக் கீழ்வரைக்கும் இரண்டாகக் கிழிந்தது.

And the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.

அவருக்கு எதிரே நின்ற நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதி அவர் இப்படிக் கூப்பிட்டு ஜீவனை விட்டதைக் கண்டபோது: மெய்யாகவே இந்த மனுஷன் தேவனுடைய குமாரன் என்றான்.

And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

Who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Jerusalem.

ஓய்வுநாளுக்கு முந்தினநாள் ஆயத்தநாளாயிருந்தபடியால், சாயங்காலமானபோது.

And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

கனம்பொருந்திய ஆலோசனைக்காரனும் அரிமத்தியா ஊரானும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் வரக் காத்திருந்தவனுமாகிய யோசேப்பு என்பவன் வந்து, பிலாத்துவினிடத்தில் துணிந்துபோய், இயேசுவின் சரீரத்தைக் கேட்டான்.

Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

அவர் இத்தனை சீக்கிரத்தில் மரித்துப்போனாரா என்று பிலாத்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு, நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதியை அழைப்பித்து: அவர் இதற்குள்ளே மரித்தது நிச்சயமா என்று கேட்டான்.

And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

நூற்றுக்கு அதிபதியினாலே அதை அறிந்துகொண்டபின்பு, சரீரத்தை யோசேப்பினிடத்தில் கொடுத்தான்.

And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

அவன் போய், மெல்லிய துப்பட்டியை வாங்கிக்கொண்டுவந்து, அவரை இறக்கி, அந்தத் துப்பட்டியிலே சுற்றி, கன்மலையில் வெட்டியிருந்த கல்லறையிலே அவரை வைத்து, கல்லறையின் வாசலில் ஒரு கல்லைப் புரட்டிவைத்தான்.

And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

அவரை வைத்த இடத்தை மகதலேனா மரியாளும் யோசேயின் தாயாகிய மரியாளும் பார்த்தார்கள்.

And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.
