ஆமோஸ் அத்தியாயம் 1

தெக்கோவா ஊர் மேய்ப்பருக்குள் இருந்த ஆமோஸ், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய உசியாவின் நாட்களிலும், இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோவாசுடைய குமாரனாகிய எரொபெயாமின் நாட்களிலும், பூமி அதிர்ச்சி உண்டாக இரண்டு வருஷத்துக்கு முன்னே, இஸ்ரவேலைக்குறித்துத் தரிசனங்கண்டு சொன்ன வார்த்தைகள்.

The words of Amos, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

கர்த்தர் சீயோனிலிருந்து கெர்ச்சித்து, எருசலேமிலிருந்து சத்தமிடுவார்; அதினால் மேய்ப்பரின் தாபரங்கள் துக்கங்கொண்டாடும்; கர்மேலின் கொடுமுடியும் காய்ந்துபோகும்.

And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: தமஸ்குவினுடைய மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும் நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அதின் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் கீலேயாத்தை இருப்புக் கருவிகளினால் போரடித்தார்களே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:

ஆசகேலின் வீட்டிலே தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது பெனாதாதின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும்.

But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Benhadad.

நான் தமஸ்குவின் தாழ்ப்பாளை உடைத்து, குடிகளை ஆவேன் என்னும் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலும், செங்கோல் செலுத்துகிறவனை பெத் ஏதேனிலும் இராதபடிக்குச் சங்காரம்பண்ணுவேன்; அப்பொழுது சீரியாவின் ஜனங்கள் கீருக்குச் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: காத்சாவினுடைய மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அதின் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் சிறைப்பட்டவர்களை ஏதோமியரிடத்தில் ஒப்புவிக்கும்படி முழுதும் சிறையாக்கினார்களே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:

காத்சாவின் மதிலுக்குள் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது அதினுடைய அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும்.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:

நான் குடிகளை அஸ்தோத்திலும், செங்கோல் செலுத்துகிறவனை அஸ்கலோனிலும் இராதபடிக்குச் சங்காரம்பண்ணி, பெலிஸ்தரில் மீதியானவர்கள் அழியும்படிக்கு என் கையை எக்ரோனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் திருப்புவேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.

மேலும்: தீருவினுடைய மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அதின் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் சகோதரரின் உடன்படிக்கையை நினையாமல், சிறைப்பட்டவர்களை முழுதும் ஏதோமியர் கையில் ஒப்புவித்தார்களே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:

தீருவின் மதிலுக்குள் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது அதின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.

மேலும்: ஏதோமுடைய மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அவன் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவன் தன் சகோதரனைப் பட்டயத்தோடே தொடர்ந்து, தன் மனதை இரக்கமற்றதாக்கி, தன் கோபத்தினாலே என்றைக்கும் அவனைப் பீறிப்போட்டு, தன் மூர்க்கத்தை நித்தியகாலமாக வைத்திருக்கிறானே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

தேமானிலே தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது போஸ்றாவின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: அம்மோன் புத்திரரின் மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அவர்கள் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் எல்லைகளை விஸ்தாரமாக்கும்படிக்குக் கீலேயாத் தேசத்தின் கர்ப்பஸ்திரீகளைக் கீறிப்போட்டார்களே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:

ரப்பாவின் மதிலுக்குள் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது யுத்தநாளின் முழக்கமாகவும், பெருங்காற்றின் புசலாகவும் அதின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும்.

But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

அவர்களுடைய ராஜாவும், அவனுடைய அதிபதிகளும் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.

ஆமோஸ் அத்தியாயம் 2

கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: மோவாபின் மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அவன் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவன் ஏதோமுடைய ராஜாவின் எலும்புகளை நீறாகச் சுட்டுப்போட்டானே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime:

மோவாப் தேசத்தில் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது கீரியோத்தின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும்; மோவாபியர் அமளியோடும் ஆர்ப்பரிப்போடும் எக்காள சத்தத்தோடும் சாவார்கள்.

But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet:

நியாயாதிபதியை அவர்கள் நடுவில் இராதபடிக்கு நான் சங்காரம்பண்ணி, அவனோடேகூட அவர்களுடைய பிரபுக்களையெல்லாம் கொன்றுபோடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.

மேலும்: யூதாவின் மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அவர்கள் ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தை வெறுத்து, அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமல், தங்கள் பிதாக்கள் பின்பற்றின பொய்களினால் மோசம்போனார்களே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked:

யூதாவிலே நான் தீக்கொளுத்துவேன்; அது எருசலேமின் அரமனைகளைப் பட்சிக்கும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

But I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.

மேலும்: இஸ்ரவேலின் மூன்று பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நாலு பாதகங்களினிமித்தமும், நான் அவர்களுடைய ஆக்கினையைத் திருப்பமாட்டேன்; அவர்கள் நீதிமானைப் பணத்துக்கும், எளியவனை ஒரு ஜோடு பாதரட்சைக்கும் விற்றுப்போட்டார்களே.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes;

அவர்கள் தரித்திரருடைய தலையின்மேல் மண்ணைவாரி இறைத்து, சிறுமையானவர்களின் வழியைப் புரட்டுகிறார்கள்; என் பரிசுத்த நாமத்தைக் குலைச்சலாக்கும்படிக்கு மகனும் தகப்பனும் ஒரு பெண்ணிடத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கிறார்கள்.

That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name:

அவர்கள் சகல பீடங்களருகிலும் அடைமானமாய் வாங்கின வஸ்திரங்களின்மேல் படுத்துக்கொண்டு, தெண்டம் பிடிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுடைய மதுபானத்தைத் தங்கள் தேவர்களின் கோவிலிலே குடிக்கிறார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And they lay themselves down upon clothes laid to pledge by every altar, and they drink the wine of the condemned in the house of their god.

நானோ: கேதுருமரங்களைப்போல் உயரமும், கர்வாலி மரங்களைப்போல் வைரமுமாயிருந்த எமோரியனை அவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக அழித்தேன்; உயர இருந்த அவனுடைய கனியையும் தாழ இருந்த அவனுடைய வேர்களையும் அழித்துப்போட்டு,

Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.

நீங்கள் எமோரியனுடைய தேசத்தைக் கட்டிக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு உங்களை நான் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து வரப்பண்ணி, உங்களை நாற்பது வருஷமாக வனாந்தரத்திலே வழிநடத்தி,

Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.

உங்கள் குமாரரில் சிலரை தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகவும், உங்கள் வாலிபரில் சிலரை நசரேயராகவும் எழும்பப்பண்ணினேன்; இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே, இப்படி நான் செய்யவில்லையா என்று கர்த்தர் கேட்கிறார்.

And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD.

நீங்களோ நசரேயருக்குத் திராட்சரசம் குடிக்கக் கொடுத்து, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ் சொல்லவேண்டாம் என்று கற்பித்தீர்கள்.

But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

இதோ, கோதுமைக்கட்டுகள் நிறைபாரமாக ஏற்றப்பட்ட வண்டியில் இருத்துகிறதுபோல, நான் உங்களை நீங்கள் இருக்கிற ஸ்தலத்தில் இருத்துவேன்.

Behold, I am pressed under you, as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaves.

அப்பொழுது வேகமானவன் ஓடியும் புகலிடமில்லை; பலவான் தன் பலத்தினால் பலப்படுவதுமில்லை; பராக்கிரமசாலி தன் பிராணனைத் தப்புவிப்பதுமில்லை.

Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver himself:

வில்லைப் பிடிக்கிறவன் நிற்பதுமில்லை; வேகமானவன் தன் கால்களால் தப்பிப்போவதுமில்லை; குதிரையின்மேல் ஏறுகிறவன் தன் பிராணனை இரட்சிப்பதுமில்லை.

Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and he that is swift of foot shall not deliver himself: neither shall he that rideth the horse deliver himself.

பலசாலிகளுக்குள்ளே தைரியவான் அந்நாளிலே நிர்வாணியாய் ஓடிப்போவான் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the LORD.

ஆமோஸ் அத்தியாயம் 3

இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரே, கர்த்தராகிய நான் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து வரப்பண்ணின முழுக்குடும்பமாகிய உங்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சொல்லிய இந்த வசனத்தைக் கேளுங்கள்.

Hear this word that the LORD hath spoken against you, O children of Israel, against the whole family which I brought up from the land of Egypt, saying,

பூமியின் எல்லா வம்சங்களுக்குள்ளும் உங்களைமாத்திரம் அறிந்துகொண்டேன்; ஆகையால் உங்களுடைய எல்லா அக்கிரமங்களினிமித்தமும் உங்களைத் தண்டிப்பேன்.

You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

இரண்டுபேர் ஒருமனப்பட்டிருந்தாலொழிய ஒருமித்து நடந்துபோவார்களோ?

Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

தனக்கு இரை அகப்படாமலிருக்கக் காட்டிலே சிங்கம் கெர்ச்சிக்குமோ? இரைபிடியாமல் இருக்கும்போது பாலசிங்கம் தன் கெபியிலிருந்து சத்தமிடுமோ?

Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?

குருவிக்குத் தரையிலே சுருக்குப் போடப்படாதிருந்தால், அது கண்ணியில் அகப்படுமோ? ஒன்றும் படாதிருக்கையில், கண்ணி தரையிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்படுமோ?

Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?

ஊரில் எக்காளம் ஊதினால், ஜனங்கள் கலங்காதிருப்பார்களோ? கர்த்தருடைய செயல் இல்லாமல் ஊரில் தீங்கு உண்டாகுமோ?

Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரருக்குத் தமது இரகசியத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தாமல் ஒரு காரியத்தையும் செய்யார்.

Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

சிங்கம் கெர்ச்சிக்கிறது, யார் பயப்படாதிருப்பான்? கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் பேசுகிறார், யார் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லாதிருப்பான்?

The lion hath roared, who will not fear? the Lord GOD hath spoken, who can but prophesy?

நீங்கள் சமாரியாவின் பர்வதங்களில் வந்துகூடி, அதின் நடுவில் நடக்கிற பெரிய கலகங்களையும் அதற்குள் செய்யப்படுகிற இடுக்கண்களையும் பாருங்கள் என்று அஸ்தோத்தின் அரமனைகள்மேலும், எகிப்துதேசத்தின் அரமனைகள்மேலும் கூறுங்கள்.

Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof.

அவர்கள் செம்மையானதைச் செய்ய அறியாமல், தங்கள் அரமனைகளில் கொடுமையையும் கொள்ளையையும் குவித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

For they know not to do right, saith the LORD, who store up violence and robbery in their palaces.

ஆகையால் சத்துரு வந்து, தேசத்தைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு, உன் பெலத்தை உன்னிலிருந்து அற்றுப்போகப்பண்ணுவான்; அப்பொழுது உன் அரமனைகள் கொள்ளையிடப்படும் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

மேலும்: ஒரு மேய்ப்பன் இரண்டு கால்களையாவது ஒரு காதின் துண்டையாவது சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்து பிடுங்கித் தப்புவிக்குமாப்போல, சமாரியாவில் குடியிருக்கிற இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் ஒரு படுக்கையின் மூலையிலிருந்தும், ஒரு மஞ்சத்தின்மேலிருந்தும் தப்புவிக்கப்படுவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch.

நீங்கள் கேட்டு யாக்கோபு வம்சத்தாருக்குள்ளே சாட்சியாக அறிவிக்கவேண்டியது: சேனைகளின் தேவனாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்,

Hear ye, and testify in the house of Jacob, saith the Lord GOD, the God of hosts,

நான் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய பாதகங்களினிமித்தம் அவனை விசாரிக்கும் நாளிலே நான் பெத்தேலின் பலிபீடங்களை விசாரிப்பேன்; பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகள் வெட்டுண்டு தரையிலே விழும்.

That in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel upon him I will also visit the altars of Bethel: and the horns of the altar shall be cut off, and fall to the ground.

மாரிகாலத்து வீட்டையும் கோடைகாலத்து வீட்டையும் அழிப்பேன்; அப்பொழுது யானைத்தந்தத்தால் செய்யப்பட்ட வீடுகள் அழியும்; பெரிய வீடுகளுக்கும் முடிவு வரும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have an end, saith the LORD.

1யோவான் அத்தியாயம் 3

நாம் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளென்று அழைக்கப்படுவதினாலே பிதாவானவர் நமக்குப் பாராட்டின அன்பு எவ்வளவு பெரிதென்று பாருங்கள்; உலகம் அவரை அறியாதபடியினாலே நம்மையும் அறியவில்லை.

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

பிரியமானவர்களே, இப்பொழுது தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளாயிருக்கிறோம், இனி எவ்விதமாயிருப்போமென்று இன்னும் வெளிப்படவில்லை; ஆகிலும் அவர் வெளிப்படும்போது அவர் இருக்கிறவண்ணமாகவே நாம் அவரைத் தரிசிப்பதினால், அவருக்கு ஒப்பாயிருப்போமென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

அவர்மேல் இப்படிப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கை வைத்திருக்கிறவனெவனும், அவர் சுத்தமுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறதுபோல, தன்னையும் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொள்ளுகிறான்.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

பாவஞ்செய்கிற எவனும் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை மீறுகிறான்; நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை மீறுகிறதே பாவம்.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

அவர் நம்முடைய பாவங்களைச் சுமந்து தீர்க்க வெளிப்பட்டாரென்று அறிவீர்கள்; அவரிடத்தில் பாவமில்லை.

And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.

அவரில் நிலைத்திருக்கிற எவனும் பாவஞ்செய்கிறதில்லை; பாவஞ்செய்கிற எவனும் அவரைக் காணவுமில்லை, அவரை அறியவுமில்லை.

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

பிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள் ஒருவராலும் வஞ்சிக்கப்படாதிருங்கள்; நீதியைச் செய்கிறவன் அவர் நீதியுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறதுபோலத் தானும் நீதியுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறான்.

Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

பாவஞ்செய்கிறவன் பிசாசினாலுண்டாயிருக்கிறான்; ஏனெனில் பிசாசானவன் ஆதிமுதல் பாவஞ்செய்கிறான், பிசாசினுடைய கிரியைகளை அழிக்கும்படிக்கே தேவனுடைய குமாரன் வெளிப்பட்டார்.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

தேவனால் பிறந்த எவனும் பாவஞ்செய்யான், ஏனெனில் அவருடைய வித்து அவனுக்குள் தரித்திருக்கிறது; அவன் தேவனால் பிறந்தபடியினால் பாவஞ்செய்யமாட்டான்.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

இதினாலே தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகள் இன்னாரென்றும், பிசாசின் பிள்ளைகள் இன்னாரென்றும் வெளிப்படும்; நீதியைச் செய்யாமலும் தன் சகோதரனில் அன்புகூராமலும் இருக்கிற எவனும் தேவனால் உண்டானவனல்ல.

In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

நாம் ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்புகூரவேண்டுமென்பதே நீங்கள் ஆதிமுதல் கேள்விப்பட்ட விசேஷமாயிருக்கிறது.

For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.

பொல்லாங்கனால் உண்டாயிருந்து தன் சகோதரனைக் கொலைசெய்த காயீனைப் போலிருக்கவேண்டாம்; அவன் எதினிமித்தம் அவனைக் கொலைசெய்தான்? தன் கிரியைகள் பொல்லாதவைகளும், தன் சகோதரனுடைய கிரியைகள் நீதியுள்ளவைகளுமாயிருந்ததினிமித்தந்தானே.

Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

என் சகோதரரே, உலகம் உங்களைப் பகைத்தால் ஆச்சரியப்படாதிருங்கள்.

Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

நாம் சகோதரரிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறபடியால், மரணத்தைவிட்டு நீங்கி ஜீவனுக்குட்பட்டிருக்கிறோமென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; சகோதரனிடத்தில் அன்புகூராதவன் மரணத்திலே நிலைகொண்டிருக்கிறான்.

We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

தன் சகோதரனைப் பகைக்கிற எவனும் மனுஷ கொலைபாதகனாயிருக்கிறான்; மனுஷ கொலைபாதகனெவனோ அவனுக்குள் நித்தியஜீவன் நிலைத்திராது என்று அறிவீர்கள்.

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

அவர் தம்முடைய ஜீவனை நமக்காகக் கொடுத்ததினாலே அன்பு இன்னதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்; நாமும் சகோதரருக்காக ஜீவனைக்கொடுக்கக் கடனாளிகளாயிருக்கிறோம்.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

ஒருவன் இவ்வுலக ஆஸ்தி உடையவனாயிருந்து, தன் சகோதரனுக்குக் குறைச்சலுண்டென்று கண்டு, தன் இருதயத்தை அவனுக்கு அடைத்துக்கொண்டால், அவனுக்குள் தேவ அன்பு நிலைகொள்ளுகிறதெப்படி?

But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

என் பிள்ளைகளே, வசனத்தினாலும் நாவினாலுமல்ல, கிரியையினாலும் உண்மையினாலும் அன்புகூரக்கடவோம்.

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

இதினாலே நாம் நம்மைச் சத்தியத்திற்குரியவர்களென்று அறிந்து, நம்முடைய இருதயத்தை அவருக்குமுன்பாக நிச்சயப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளலாம்.

And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

நம்முடைய இருதயமே நம்மைக் குற்றவாளிகளாகத் தீர்க்குமானால், தேவன் நம்முடைய இருதயத்திலும் பெரியவராயிருந்து சகலத்தையும் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்.

For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

பிரியமானவர்களே, நம்முடைய இருதயம் நம்மைக் குற்றவாளிகளென்று தீர்க்காதிருந்தால், நாம் தேவனிடத்தில் தைரியங்கொண்டிருந்து,

Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

அவருடைய கற்பனைகளை நாம் கைக்கொண்டு அவருக்குமுன்பாகப் பிரியமானவைகளைச் செய்கிறபடியினால் நாம் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறதெதுவோ அதை அவராலே பெற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறோம்.

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

நாம் அவருடைய குமாரனாகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தின்மேல் விசுவாசமாயிருந்து, அவர் நமக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாயிருக்கவேண்டுமென்பதே அவருடைய கற்பனையாயிருக்கிறது.

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

அவருடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் அவரில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறான், அவரும் அவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார்; அவர் நம்மில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறதை அவர் நமக்குத் தந்தருளின ஆவியினாலே அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1யோவான் அத்தியாயம் 4

பிரியமானவர்களே, உலகத்தில் அநேகங்கள்ளத்தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் தோன்றியிருப்பதினால், நீங்கள் எல்லா ஆவிகளையும் நம்பாமல், அந்த ஆவிகள் தேவனால் உண்டானவைகளோ என்று சோதித்தறியுங்கள்.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

தேவ ஆவியை நீங்கள் எதினாலே அறியலாமென்றால்: மாம்சத்தில் வந்த இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை அறிக்கைபண்ணுகிற எந்த ஆவியும் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

மாம்சத்தில் வந்த இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவை அறிக்கைபண்ணாத எந்த ஆவியும் தேவனால் உண்டானதல்ல; வருமென்று நீங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்ட அந்திக்கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய ஆவி அதுவே, அது இப்பொழுதும் உலகத்தில் இருக்கிறது.

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

பிள்ளைகளே, நீங்கள் தேவனால் உண்டாயிருந்து, அவர்களை ஜெயித்தீர்கள்; ஏனெனில் உலகத்திலிருக்கிறவனிலும் உங்களிலிருக்கிறவர் பெரியவர்.

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

அவர்கள் உலகத்துக்குரியவர்கள், ஆகையால் உலகத்துக்குரியவர்களைப் பேசுகிறார்கள், உலகமும் அவர்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கும்.

They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

நாங்கள் தேவனால் உண்டானவர்கள்; தேவனை அறிந்தவன் எங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறான்; தேவனால் உண்டாயிராதவன் எங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுக்கிறதில்லை; இதினாலே சத்திய ஆவி இன்னதென்றும் வஞ்சக ஆவி இன்னதென்றும் அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

பிரியமானவர்களே, ஒருவரிலொருவர் அன்பாயிருக்கக்கடவோம்; ஏனெனில் அன்பு தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது; அன்புள்ள எவனும் தேவனால் பிறந்து, அவரை அறிந்திருக்கிறான்.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

அன்பில்லாதவன் தேவனை அறியான்; தேவன் அன்பாகவே இருக்கிறார்.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

தம்முடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனாலே நாம் பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு தேவன் அவரை இவ்வுலகத்திலே அனுப்பினதினால் தேவன் நம்மேல் வைத்த அன்பு வெளிப்பட்டது.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

நாம் தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்ததினால் அல்ல, அவர் நம்மிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நிவிர்த்தி செய்கிற கிருபாதாரபலியாகத் தம்முடைய குமாரனை அனுப்பினதினாலே அன்பு உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

பிரியமானவர்களே, தேவன் இவ்விதமாய் நம்மிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்திருக்க, நாமும் ஒருவரிடத்தில் ஒருவர் அன்புகூரக் கடனாளிகளாயிருக்கிறோம்.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

தேவனை ஒருவரும் ஒருபோதும் கண்டதில்லை; நாம் ஒருவரிடத்தில் ஒருவர் அன்புகூர்ந்தால் தேவன் நமக்குள் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார்; அவருடைய அன்பும் நமக்குள் பூரணப்படும்.

No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

அவர் தம்முடைய ஆவியில் நமக்குத் தந்தருளினதினாலே நாம் அவரிலும் அவர் நம்மிலும் நிலைத்திருக்கிறதை அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

பிதாவானவர் குமாரனை உலகரட்சகராக அனுப்பினாரென்று நாங்கள் கண்டு சாட்சியிடுகிறோம்.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

இயேசுவானவர் தேவனுடைய குமாரனென்று அறிக்கைபண்ணுகிறவன் எவனோ அவனில் தேவன் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார், அவனும் தேவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறான்.

Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

தேவன் நம்மேல் வைத்திருக்கிற அன்பை நாம் அறிந்து விசுவாசித்திருக்கிறோம். தேவன் அன்பாகவே இருக்கிறார்; அன்பில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறவன் தேவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறான், தேவனும் அவனில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறார்.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

நியாயத்தீர்ப்புநாளிலே நமக்குத் தைரியமுண்டாயிருக்கத்தக்கதாக அன்பு நம்மிடத்தில் பூரணப்படுகிறது; ஏனென்றால், அவர் இருக்கிறபிரகாரமாக நாமும் இவ்வுலகத்தில் இருக்கிறோம்.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

அன்பிலே பயமில்லை; பூரண அன்பு பயத்தைப் புறம்பே தள்ளும்; பயமானது வேதனையுள்ளது, பயப்படுகிறவன் அன்பில் பூரணப்பட்டவன் அல்ல.

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

அவர் முந்தி நம்மிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்தபடியால் நாமும் அவரிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறோம்.

We love him, because he first loved us.

தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறேனென்று ஒருவன் சொல்லியும், தன் சகோதரனைப் பகைத்தால், அவன் பொய்யன்; தான் கண்ட சகோதரனிடத்தில் அன்புகூராமலிருக்கிறவன், தான் காணாத தேவனிடத்தில் எப்படி அன்புகூருவான்?

If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறவன் தன் சகோதரனிடத்திலும் அன்புகூரவேண்டுமென்கிற இந்தக் கற்பனையை அவராலே பெற்றிருக்கிறோம்.

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
