தானியேல் அத்தியாயம் 7

பாபிலோன் ராஜாவாகிய பெல்ஷாத்சாரின் முதலாம் வருஷத்திலே தானியேல் ஒரு சொப்பனத்தையும் தன் படுக்கையின்மேல் தன் தலையில் தோன்றின தரிசனங்களையும் கண்டான். பின்பு அவன் அந்தச் சொப்பனத்தை எழுதி, காரியங்களின் தொகையை விவரித்தான்.

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.

தானியேல் சொன்னது: இராத்திரி காலத்தில் எனக்கு உண்டான தரிசனத்திலே நான் கண்டது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, வானத்தின் நாலு காற்றுகளும் பெரிய சமுத்திரத்தின்மேல் அடித்தது.

Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.

அப்பொழுது வெவ்வேறு ரூபமுள்ள நாலு பெரிய மிருகங்கள் சமுத்திரத்திலிருந்து எழும்பின.

And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

முந்தினது சிங்கத்தைப்போல இருந்தது; அதற்குக் கழுகின் செட்டைகள் உண்டாயிருந்தது; நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அதின் இறகுகள் பிடுங்கப்பட்டது; அது தரையிலிருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்டு, மனுஷனைப்போல இரண்டு காலின்மேல் நிமிர்ந்துநிற்கும்படி செய்யப்பட்டது; மனுஷ இருதயம் அதற்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it.

பின்பு, கரடிக்கு ஒப்பாகிய வேறே இரண்டாம் மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அது ஒரு பக்கமாய்ச் சாய்ந்துநின்று, தன் வாயின் பற்களுக்குள்ளே மூன்று விலாவெலும்புகளைக் கவ்விக்கொண்டிருந்தது; எழும்பி வெகு மாம்சம் தின்னென்று அதற்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது.

And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh.

அதின்பின்பு, சிவிங்கியைப்போலிருக்கிற வேறொரு மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அதின் முதுகின்மேல் பட்சியின் செட்டைகள் நாலு இருந்தது; அந்த மிருகத்துக்கு நாலு தலைகளும் உண்டாயிருந்தது; அதற்கு ஆளுகை அளிக்கப்பட்டது.

After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

அதற்குப்பின்பு, இராத்தரிசனங்களில் நாலாம் மிருகத்தைக் கண்டேன்; அது கெடியும் பயங்கரமும் மகா பலத்ததுமாயிருந்தது; அதற்குப் பெரிய இருப்புப்பற்கள் இருந்தது; அது நொறுக்கிப் பட்சித்து, மீதியானதைத் தன் கால்களால் மிதித்துப்போட்டது; அது தனக்கு முன்னிருந்த எல்லா மிருகங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேற்றுருவமாயிருந்தது, அதற்குப் பத்துக் கொம்புகள் இருந்தது.

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

அந்தக் கொம்புகளை நான் கவனித்திருக்கையில், இதோ, அவைகளுக்கு இடையிலே வேறொரு சின்ன கொம்பு எழும்பிற்று; அதற்கு முன்பாக முந்தின கொம்புகளில் மூன்று பிடுங்கப்பட்டது; இதோ, அந்தக் கொம்பிலே மனுஷ கண்களுக்கு ஒப்பான கண்களும் பெருமையானவைகளைப் பேசும் வாயும் இருந்தது.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், சிங்காசனங்கள் வைக்கப்பட்டது; நீண்ட ஆயுசுள்ளவர் வீற்றிருந்தார்; அவருடைய வஸ்திரம் உறைந்த மழையைப்போலவும், அவருடைய சிரசின் மயிர் வெண்மையாகவும் பஞ்சைப்போல துப்புரவாகவும் இருந்தது; அவருடைய சிங்காசனம் அக்கினிஜூவாலையும், அதின் சக்கரங்கள் எரிகிற நெருப்புமாயிருந்தது.

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

அக்கினி நதி அவர் சந்நிதியிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு ஓடினது; ஆயிரமாயிரம்பேர் அவரைச் சேவித்தார்கள்; கோடாகோடிபேர் அவருக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள்; நியாயசங்கம் உட்கார்ந்தது; புஸ்தகங்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டது.

A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.

அப்பொழுது நான் பார்த்தேன்; நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில் அந்தக் கொம்பு பெருமையான பேச்சுகளைப் பேசினதினிமித்தம் அந்த மிருகம் கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டது; அதின் உடல் அழிக்கப்பட்டு, எரிகிற அக்கினிக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

மற்ற மிருகங்களுடைய ஆளுகையோவென்றால், அவைகளை விட்டு நீக்கப்பட்டது; ஆனாலும், அவைகளுக்குக் காலமும் சமயமும் ஆகுமட்டும் அவைகள் உயிரோடே இருக்கும்படி கட்டளையிடப்பட்டது.

As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.

இராத்தரிசனங்களிலே நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், இதோ, மனுஷகுமாரனுடைய சாயலான ஒருவர் வானத்து மேகங்களுடனே வந்தார்; அவர் நீண்ட ஆயுசுள்ளவர் இடமட்டும் வந்து, அவர் சமீபத்தில் கொண்டுவரப்பட்டார்.

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

சகல ஜனங்களும் ஜாதியாரும், பாஷைக்காரரும் அவரையே சேவிக்கும்படி, அவருக்குக் கர்த்தத்துவமும் மகிமையும் ராஜரிகமும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; அவருடைய கர்த்தத்துவம் நீங்காத நித்திய கர்த்தத்துவமும், அவருடைய ராஜ்யம் அழியாததுமாயிருக்கும்.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

தானியேலாகிய நான் என் தேகத்தினுள் என் ஆவியிலே சஞ்சலப்பட்டேன்; என் தலையில் தோன்றின தரிசனங்கள் என்னைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணினது.

I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

சமீபத்தில் நிற்கிறவர்களில் ஒருவனிடத்தில் நான் போய், இதன் பொருள் எல்லாவற்றையும் எனக்குச் சொல்லும்படி அவனை வேண்டிக்கொண்டேன்; அவன் அந்தக் காரியங்களின் அர்த்தத்தை எனக்கு அறிவித்துச் சொன்னது என்னவென்றால்:

I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.

அந்த நாலு பெரிய மிருகங்களும் பூமியிலிருந்து எழும்புகிற நாலு ராஜாக்கள்.

These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.

ஆனாலும் உன்னதமானவருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்கள் ராஜரிகத்தைப்பெற்று, என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதா காலங்களிலும் ராஜ்யத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்வார்கள் என்றான்.

But the saints of the most High shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever.

அப்பொழுது மற்றவைகளையெல்லாம்பார்க்கிலும் வேற்றுருவும் கெடியுமுள்ளதுமாய், இருப்புப் பற்களும், வெண்கல நகங்களுமுடையதாய் நொறுக்கிப் பட்சித்து. மீதியானதைத் தன் கால்களால் மிதித்துப் போட்டதுமாயிருந்த நாலாம் மிருகத்தைக்குறித்தும்,

Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

அதின் தலைமேலுள்ள பத்துக்கொம்புகளைக்குறித்தும், தனக்கு முன்பாக மூன்று கொம்புகள் விழுந்துபோக எழும்பினதுமாய், கண்களையும் பெருமையானவைகளைப் பேசும் வாயையுமுடையதுமாய், மற்றவைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும் பருமனாகத் தோன்றினதுமாயிருந்த அந்த வேறே கொம்பைக்குறித்தும், அவற்றின் பொருளைஅறிய மனதாயிருந்தேன்.

And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

நீண்ட ஆயுசுள்ளவர் வருமட்டாகவும், நியாயவிசாரிப்பு உன்னதமானவருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு, பரிசுத்தவான்கள் ராஜ்யத்தைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளும் காலம் வருமட்டளவும்,

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

இந்தக் கொம்பு பரிசுத்தவான்களோடே யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அவர்களை மேற்கொண்டது என்று கண்டேன்.

Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

அவன் சொன்னது: நாலாம் மிருகம் பூமியிலே உண்டாகும் நாலாம் ராஜ்யமாம்; அது எல்லா ராஜ்யங்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறாயிருந்து, பூமியை எல்லாம் பட்சித்து, அதை மிதித்து, அதை நொறுக்கிப்போடும்.

Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

அந்தப் பத்துக்கொம்புகள் என்னவென்றால், அந்த ராஜ்யத்திலே எழும்பும் பத்து ராஜாக்களாம்; அவர்களுக்குப்பின்பு வேறொருவன் எழும்புவான்; அவன் முந்தினவர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் வேறாயிருந்து, மூன்று ராஜாக்களை தாழ்த்திப்போட்டு,

And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

உன்னதமானவருக்கு விரோதமாக வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசி, உன்னதமானவருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களை ஒடுக்கி, காலங்களையும் பிரமாணங்களையும் மாற்ற நினைப்பான்; அவர்கள் ஒரு காலமும். காலங்களும், அரைக்காலமும் செல்லுமட்டும் அவன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.

And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

ஆனாலும் நியாயசங்கம் உட்காரும்; அப்பொழுது முடிவுபரியந்தம் அவனைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படியாகவும் அழிக்கும்படியாகவும் அவனுடைய ஆளுகையை நீக்கிப்போடுவார்கள்.

But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end.

வானத்தின் கீழெங்குமுள்ள ராஜ்யங்களின் ராஜரிகமும் ஆளுகையும் மகத்துவமும் உன்னதமானவருடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களாகிய ஜனங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும்; அவருடைய ராஜ்யம் நித்திய ராஜ்யம்; சகல கர்த்தத்துவங்களும் அவரைச் சேவித்து, அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கும் என்றான்.

And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.

அவன் சொன்ன வார்த்தை இத்தோடே முடிந்தது. தானியேலாகிய நான் என் நினைவுகளால் மிகவும் கலங்கினேன்; என் முகம் வேறுபட்டது; இந்தக் காரியத்தை என் மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டேன்.

Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

தானியேல் அத்தியாயம் 8

தானியேலாகிய எனக்கு முதலில் காண்பிக்கப்பட்ட தரிசனத்துக்குப்பின்பு, ராஜாவாகிய பெல்ஷாத்சார் ராஜ்யபாரம்பண்ணின மூன்றாம் வருஷத்திலே வேறொரு தரிசனம் எனக்குக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டது.

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

தரிசனத்திலே நான் கண்டது என்னவென்றால்: நான் பார்க்கையில் ஏலாம் தேசத்திலுள்ள சூசான் அரமனையில் இருந்தேன்; அங்கே நான் ஊலாய் என்னும் ஆற்றங்கரையில் இருந்ததாகத் தரிசனத்திலே கண்டேன்.

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

நான் என் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப்பார்த்தேன்; இதோ, இரண்டு கொம்புகளுள்ள ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடா ஆற்றிற்கு முன்பாக நின்றது; அதின் இரண்டு கொம்புகளும் உயர்ந்தவைகளாயிருந்தது; ஆகிலும் அவைகளில் ஒன்று மற்றதைப்பார்க்கிலும் உயர்ந்திருந்தது; உயர்ந்தகொம்பு பிந்தி முளைத்தெழும்பிற்று.

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

அந்த ஆட்டுக்கடா மேற்கும் வடக்கும் தெற்கும் பாய்கிறதைக் கண்டேன்; ஒரு மிருகமும் அதின் முன்னே நிற்கக்கூடாதிருந்தது; அதின் கைக்குத் தப்புவிப்பாருமில்லை; அது தன் இஷ்டப்படியே செய்து வல்லமைகொண்டது.

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

நான் அதைக் கவனித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், இதோ, மேற்கேயிருந்து ஒரு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடா நிலத்திலே கால்பாவாமல் தேசத்தின்மீதெங்கும் சென்றது; அந்த வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவின் கண்களுக்கு நடுவே விசேஷித்த ஒரு கொம்பு இருந்தது.

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

நான் ஆற்றின் முன்பாக நிற்கக்கண்ட இரண்டு கொம்புகளுள்ள ஆட்டுக்கடாவினிடமட்டும் அது வந்து, தன் பலத்தின் உக்கிரத்தோடே அதற்கு எதிராகப் பாய்ந்தது.

And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

அது ஆட்டுக்கடாவின் கிட்டச்சேரக்கண்டேன்; அது ஆட்டுக்கடாவின்மேல் கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டு, அதை முட்டி, அதின் இரண்டு கொம்புகளையும் முறித்துப்போட்டது; அதின் முன் நிற்க ஆட்டுக்கடாவுக்குப் பலமில்லாமையால், வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடா அதைத் தரையிலே தள்ளி மிதித்துப்போட்டது; அதின் கைக்கு ஆட்டுக்கடாவைத் தப்புவிப்பார் இல்லை.

And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

அப்பொழுது வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடா மிகுதியும் வல்லமைகொண்டது; அது பலங்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அந்தப் பெரிய கொம்பு முறிந்துபோயிற்று; அதற்குப் பதிலாக ஆகாயத்தின் நாலு திசைகளுக்கும் எதிராய் விசேஷித்த நாலுகொம்புகள் முளைத்தெழும்பினது.

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

அவைகளில் ஒன்றிலிருந்து சின்னதான ஒரு கொம்பு புறப்பட்டு, தெற்குக்கும், கிழக்குக்கும் எதிராகவும், சிங்காரமான தேசத்துக்கு நேராகவும் மிகவும் பெரியதாயிற்று.

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

அது வானத்தின் சேனைபரியந்தம் வளர்ந்து, அதின் சேனையாகிய நட்சத்திரங்களில் சிலவற்றை பூமியிலே விழப்பண்ணி, அவைகளை மிதித்தது.

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

அது சேனையினுடைய அதிபதிபரியந்தமும் தன்னை உயர்த்தி, அவரிடத்திலிருந்து அன்றாட பலியை நீக்கிற்று; அவருடைய பரிசுத்தஸ்தானம் தள்ளுண்டது.

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

பாதகத்தினிமித்தம் அன்றாட பலியோடுங்கூடச் சேனையும் அதற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; அது சத்தியத்தைத் தரையிலே தள்ளிற்று; அது கிரியைசெய்து அநுகூலமடைந்தது.

And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

பரிசுத்தவானாகிய ஒருவன் பேசக்கேட்டேன்; அப்பொழுது வேறொரு பரிசுத்தவான் பேசினவரை நோக்கி: அன்றாட பலியைக்குறித்தும், பாழ்க்கடிப்பை உண்டாக்கும் பாதகத்தைக்குறித்தும், பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலமும் சேனையும் மிதிபட ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவதைக்குறித்தும், உண்டான தரிசனம் எதுவரைக்கும் இருக்கும் என்று கேட்டான்.

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

அவன் என்னை நோக்கி: இரண்டாயிரத்து முந்நூறு இராப்பகல் செல்லும்வரைக்கும் இருக்கும்; பின்பு பரிசுத்தஸ்தலம் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும் என்றான்.

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

தானியேலாகிய நான் இந்தத் தரிசனத்தைக்கண்டு, அதின் பொருளை அறிய வகைதேடுகையில், இதோ, மனுஷசாயலான ஒருவன் எனக்கு எதிரே நின்றான்.

And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

அன்றியும் காபிரியேலே, இவனுக்குத் தரிசனத்தை விளங்கப்பண்ணென்று ஊலாயின் மத்தியிலே கூப்பிட்டுச் சொல்லுகிற ஒரு மனுஷ சத்தத்தையும் கேட்டேன்.

And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

அப்பொழுது அவன் நான் நின்ற இடத்துக்கு வந்தான்; அவன் வருகையில் நான் திடுக்கிட்டு முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தேன்; அவன் என்னை நோக்கி: மனுபுத்திரனே கவனி; இந்தத் தரிசனம் முடிவுகாலத்துக்கு அடுத்தது என்றான்.

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

அவன் என்னோடே பேசுகையில், நான் தரையில் முகங்குப்புறக்கிடந்து, அயர்ந்த நித்திரைகொண்டேன்; அவனோ என்னைத்தொட்டு, நான் காலூன்றி நிற்கும்படி செய்து:

Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

இதோ, கோபத்தின் முடிவுகாலத்திலே சம்பவிப்பதை உனக்குத் தெரிவிப்பேன்; இது குறிக்கப்பட்ட முடிவுகாலத்துக்கு அடுத்தது.

And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

நீ கண்ட இரண்டு கொம்புள்ள ஆட்டுக்கடா மேதியா பெர்சியா தேசங்களின் ராஜாக்கள்;

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

ரோமமுள்ள அந்த வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடா கிரேக்கு தேசத்தின் ராஜா; அதின் கண்களுக்கு நடுவே இருந்த பெரிய கொம்பு அதின் முதலாம் ராஜா;

And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

அது முறிந்துபோனபின்பு அதற்குப்பதிலாக நாலு கொம்புகள் எழும்பினது என்னவென்றால், அந்த ஜாதியிலே நாலு ராஜ்யங்கள் எழும்பும்; ஆனாலும் அவனுக்கு இருந்த வல்லமை அவைகளுக்கு இராது.

Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

அவர்களுடைய ராஜ்யபாரத்தின் கடைசிக்காலத்திலோவென்றால், பாதகருடைய பாதகம் நிறைவேறும்போது மூர்க்கமுகமும் சூதானபேச்சுமுள்ள சாமர்த்தியமான ஒரு ராஜா எழும்புவான்.

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

அவனுடைய வல்லமை பெருகும்; ஆனாலும் அவனுடைய சுயபலத்தினால் அல்ல, அவன் அதிசயமானவிதமாக அழிம்புண்டாக்கி, அநுகூலம் பெற்றுக் கிரியைசெய்து, பலவான்களையும் பரிசுத்த ஜனங்களையும் அழிப்பான்.

And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

அவன் தன் உபாயத்தினால் வஞ்சகத்தைக் கைகூடிவரப்பண்ணி, தன் இருதயத்தில் பெருமைகொண்டு, நிர்விசாரத்தோடிருக்கிற அநேகரை அழித்து, அதிபதிகளுக்கு அதிபதியாயிருக்கிறவருக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புவான்; ஆனாலும் அவன் கையினாலல்ல வேறுவிதமாய்ப் முறித்துப்போடப்படுவான்.

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

சொல்லப்பட்ட இராப்பகல்களின் தரிசனம் சத்தியமாயிருக்கிறது; ஆதலால் இந்தத் தரிசனத்தை நீ மறைத்துவை; அதற்கு இன்னும் அநேகநாள் செல்லும் என்றான்.

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

தானியேலாகிய நான் சோர்வடைந்து, சிலநாள் வியாதிப்பட்டிருந்தேன்; பின்பு நான் எழுந்திருந்து, ராஜாவின் வேலையைச் செய்து, அந்தத் தரிசனத்தினால் திகைத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தேன்; ஒருவரும் அதை அறியவில்லை.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

இப்படியிருக்க, நியாயப்பிரமாணமானது வரப்போகிற நன்மைகளின் பொருளாயிராமல், அவைகளின் நிழலாய்மாத்திரம் இருக்கிறபடியால், வருஷந்தோறும் இடைவிடாமல் செலுத்தப்பட்டுவருகிற ஒரேவிதமான பலிகளினாலே அவைகளைச் செலுத்தவருகிறவர்களை ஒருக்காலும் பூரணப்படுத்தமாட்டாது.

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

பூரணப்படுத்துமானால், ஆராதனைசெய்கிறவர்கள் ஒருதரம் சுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டபின்பு, இன்னும் பாவங்களுண்டென்று உணர்த்தும் மனச்சாட்சி அவர்களுக்கு இல்லாதிருப்பதினால், அந்தப் பலிகளைச் செலுத்துகிறது நிறுத்தப்படுமல்லவா?

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

அப்படி நிறுத்தப்படாதபடியால், பாவங்கள் உண்டென்று அவைகளினாலே வருஷந்தோறும் நினைவுகூருதல் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

அல்லாமலும், காளை வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடா இவைகளுடைய இரத்தம் பாவங்களை நிவிர்த்திசெய்யமாட்டாதே.

For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

ஆகையால் அவர் உலகத்தில் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது: பலியையும் காணிக்கையையும் நீர் விரும்பவில்லை, ஒரு சரீரத்தை எனக்கு ஆயத்தம்பண்ணினீர்;

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:

சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளும், பாவநிவாரணபலிகளும் உமக்குப் பிரியமானதல்ல என்றீர்.

In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.

அப்பொழுது நான்: தேவனே, உம்முடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்ய, இதோ, வருகிறேன், புஸ்தகச்சுருளில் என்னைக்குறித்து எழுதியிருக்கிறது என்று சொன்னேன் என்றார்.

Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தின்படி செலுத்தப்பட்டுவருகிற பலிகளைக்குறித்து மேற்சொல்லியபடி: பலியையும், காணிக்கையையும், சர்வாங்கதகனபலிகளையும், பாவநிவாரணபலிகளையும் நீர் விரும்பவில்லை, அவைகள் உமக்குப் பிரியமானதல்ல என்று சொன்னபின்பு:

Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

தேவனே, உம்முடைய சித்தத்தின்படி செய்ய, இதோ, வருகிறேன் என்று சொன்னார். இரண்டாவதை நிலைநிறுத்துவதற்கு முதலாவதை நீக்கிப்போடுகிறார்.

Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சரீரம் ஒரேதரம் பலியிடப்பட்டதினாலே, அந்தச் சித்தத்தின்படி நாம் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறோம்.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

அன்றியும், எந்த ஆசாரியனும் நாடோறும் ஆராதனைசெய்கிறவனாயும், பாவங்களை ஒருக்காலும் நிவிர்த்திசெய்யக்கூடாத ஒரேவித பலிகளை அநேகந்தரம் செலுத்திவருகிறவனாயும் நிற்பான்.

And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

இவரோ, பாவங்களுக்காக ஒரே பலியைச் செலுத்தி என்றென்றைக்கும் தேவனுடைய வலதுபாரிசத்தில் உட்கார்ந்து,

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

இனித் தம்முடைய சத்துருக்களைத் தமது பாதபடியாக்கிப்போடும்வரைக்கும் காத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்.

From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

ஏனெனில் பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்படுகிறவர்களை ஒரே பலியினாலே இவர் என்றென்றைக்கும் பூரணப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார்.

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

இதைக்குறித்துப் பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரும் நமக்குச் சாட்சிசொல்லுகிறார்; எப்படியெனில்:

Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,

அந்த நாட்களுக்குப்பின்பு நான் அவர்களோடே பண்ணும் உடன்படிக்கையாவது: நான் என்னுடைய பிரமாணங்களை அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களில் வைத்து, அவைகளை அவர்களுடைய மனதில் எழுதுவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறாரென்பதை உரைத்தபின்பு,

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

அவர்களுடைய பாவங்களையும் அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமங்களையும் நான் இனி நினைப்பதில்லை என்பதைச் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

இவைகள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டதுண்டானால், இனிப் பாவத்தினிமித்தம் பலிசெலுத்தப்படுவதில்லையே.

Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

ஆகையால், சகோதரரே, நாம் பரிசுத்தஸ்தலத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பதற்கு இயேசுவானவர் தமது மாம்சமாகிய திரையின் வழியாய்ப் புதிதும் ஜீவனுமானமார்க்கத்தை நமக்கு உண்டுபண்ணினபடியால்,

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

அந்த மார்க்கத்தின்வழியாய்ப் பிரவேசிப்பதற்கு அவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே நமக்குத் தைரியம் உண்டாயிருக்கிறபடியினாலும்,

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

தேவனுடைய வீட்டின்மேல் அதிகாரியான மகா ஆசாரியர் நமக்கு ஒருவர் இருக்கிறபடியினாலும்,

And having an high priest over the house of God;

துர்மனச்சாட்சி நீங்கத் தெளிக்கப்பட்ட இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாயும், சுத்த ஜலத்தால் கழுவப்பட்ட சரீரமுள்ளவர்களாயும், உண்மையுள்ள இருதயத்தோடும் விசுவாசத்தின் பூரண நிச்சயத்தோடும் சேரக்கடவோம்.

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

அல்லாமலும், நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கையை அறிக்கையிடுகிறதில் அசைவில்லாமல் உறுதியாயிருக்கக்கடவோம்; வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணினவர் உண்மையுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறாரே.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

மேலும், அன்புக்கும் நற்கிரியைகளுக்கும் நாம் ஏவப்படும்படி ஒருவரையொருவர் கவனித்து;

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

சபை கூடிவருதலைச் சிலர் விட்டுவிடுகிறதுபோல நாமும் விட்டுவிடாமல், ஒருவருக்கொருவர் புத்திசொல்லக்கடவோம்; நாளானது சமீபித்துவருகிறதை எவ்வளவாய்ப் பார்க்கிறீர்களோ அவ்வளவாய்ப் புத்திசொல்லவேண்டும்.

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

சத்தியத்தை அறியும் அறிவை அடைந்தபின்பு, நாம் மனப்பூர்வமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்கிறவர்களாயிருந்தால், பாவங்களினிமித்தம் செலுத்தத்தக்க வேறொரு பலி இனியிராமல்,

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு வருமென்று பயத்தோடே எதிர்ப்பார்க்குதலும், விரோதிகளைப் பட்சிக்கும் கோபாக்கினையுமே இருக்கும்.

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

மோசேயினுடைய பிரமாணத்தைத் தள்ளுகிறவன் இரக்கம்பெறாமல் இரண்டு மூன்று சாட்சிகளின் வாக்கினாலே சாகிறானே;

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

தேவனுடைய குமாரனைக் காலின் கீழ் மிதித்து, தன்னைப் பரிசுத்தஞ்செய்த உடன்படிக்கையின் இரத்தத்தை அசுத்தமென்றெண்ணி, கிருபையின் ஆவியை நிந்திக்கிறவன் எவ்வளவு கொடிதான ஆக்கினைக்குப் பாத்திரவானாயிருப்பான் என்பதை யோசித்துப்பாருங்கள்.

Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

பழிவாங்குதல் எனக்குரியது, நானே பதிற்செய்வேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்றும், கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார் என்றும் சொன்னவர் இன்னாரென்று அறிவோம்.

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய கைகளில் விழுகிறது பயங்கரமாயிருக்குமே.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

முந்தின நாட்களை நினைத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் பிரகாசமாக்கப்பட்டிருந்த அந்த நாட்களில் உபத்திரவங்களாகிய மிகுந்த போராட்டத்தைச் சகித்தீர்களே.

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;

நிந்தைகளாலும் உபத்திரவங்களாலும் நீங்கள் வேடிக்கையாக்கப்பட்டதுமல்லாமல், அப்படி நடத்தப்பட்டவர்களுக்குப் பங்காளிகளுமானீர்கள்.

Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

நான் கட்டப்பட்டிருக்கையில் நீங்கள் என்னைக்குறித்துப் பரிதபித்ததுமன்றி, பரலோகத்தில் அதிக மேன்மையும் நிலையுள்ளதுமான சுதந்தரம் உங்களுக்கு உண்டென்று அறிந்து, உங்கள் ஆஸ்திகளையும் சந்தோஷமாய்க் கொள்ளையிடக் கொடுத்தீர்கள்.

For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

ஆகையால், மிகுந்த பலனுக்கேதுவான உங்கள் தைரியத்தை விட்டுவிடாதிருங்கள்.

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

நீங்கள் தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தின்படிசெய்து, வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணப்பட்டதைப் பெறும்படிக்குப் பொறுமை உங்களுக்கு வேண்டியதாயிருக்கிறது.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

வருகிறவர் இன்னுங்கொஞ்சக்காலத்தில் வருவார், தாமதம்பண்ணார்.

For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

விசுவாசத்தினாலே நீதிமான் பிழைப்பான், பின்வாங்கிப்போவானானால் அவன்மேல் என் ஆத்துமா பிரியமாயிராது என்கிறார்.

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

நாமோ கெட்டுப்போகப் பின்வாங்குகிறவர்களாயிராமல், ஆத்துமா ஈடேற விசுவாசிக்கிறவர்களாயிருக்கிறோம்.

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
