எசேக்கியேல் அத்தியாயம் 37

கர்த்தருடைய கை என்மேல் அமர்ந்து, கர்த்தர் என்னை ஆவிக்குள்ளாக்கி வெளியே கொண்டுபோய், எலும்புகள் நிறைந்த ஒரு பள்ளத்தாக்கின் நடுவில் நிறுத்தி,

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,

என்னை அவைகளின் அருகே சுற்றி நடக்கப்பண்ணினார்; இதோ, பள்ளத்தாக்கின் வெட்டவெளியிலே அந்த எலும்புகள் மகா திரளாய்க் கிடந்தது; அவைகள் மிகவும் உலர்ந்ததுமாயிருந்தது.

And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry.

அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனுபுத்திரனே, இந்த எலும்புகள் உயிரடையுமா என்று கேட்டார்; அதற்கு நான்: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் அதை அறிவீர் என்றேன்.

And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: நீ இந்த எலும்புகளைக்குறித்துத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து, அவைகளைப் பார்த்துச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: உலர்ந்த எலும்புகளே, கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள்.

Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் இந்த எலும்புகளை நோக்கி: இதோ, நான் உங்களுக்குள் ஆவியைப் பிரவேசிக்கப்பண்ணுவேன், அப்பொழுது உயிரடைவீர்கள்.

Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:

நான் உங்கள்மேல் நரம்புகளைச் சேர்த்து, உங்கள்மேல் மாம்சத்தை உண்டாக்கி, உங்களைத் தோலினால் மூடி, உங்களில் ஆவியைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன்; அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் உயிரடைந்து, நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்களென்று உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

எனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே நான் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்தேன்; நான் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைக்கையில் ஒரு இரைச்சல் உண்டாயிற்று; இதோ, அசைவுண்டாகி, ஒவ்வொரு எலும்பும் தன்தன் எலும்போடே சேர்ந்துகொண்டது.

So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், இதோ, அவைகள்மேல் நரம்புகளும் மாம்சமும் உண்டாயிற்று, மேற்புறமெங்கும் தோலினால் மூடப்பட்டது; ஆனாலும் அவைகளில் ஆவி இல்லாதிருந்தது.

And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them.

அப்பொழுது அவர் என்னைப்பார்த்து: நீ ஆவியை நோக்கித் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரை; மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து, ஆவியை நோக்கி: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், ஆவியே, நீ காற்றுத்திசை நான்கிலுமிருந்து வந்து, கொலையுண்ட இவர்கள் உயிரடையும்படிக்கு இவர்கள்மேல் ஊது என்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live.

எனக்குக் கற்பிக்கப்பட்டபடி நான் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்தேன்; அப்பொழுது ஆவி அவர்களுக்குள் பிரவேசிக்க, அவர்கள் உயிரடைந்து, காலூன்றி, மகா பெரிய சேனையாய் நின்றார்கள்.

So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

அப்பொழுது அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனுபுத்திரனே, இந்த எலும்புகள் இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் அனைவருமே; இதோ, அவர்கள் எங்கள் எலும்புகள் உலர்ந்துபோயிற்று; எங்கள் நம்பிக்கை அற்றுப்போயிற்று; நாங்கள் அறுப்புண்டுபோகிறோம் என்கிறார்கள்.

Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

ஆகையால் நீ தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து, அவர்களோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார், இதோ, என் ஜனங்களே, நான் உங்கள் பிரேதக்குழிகளைத் திறந்து, உங்களை உங்கள் பிரேதக்குழிகளிலிருந்து வெளிப்படவும், உங்களை இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்துக்கு வரவும் பண்ணுவேன்.

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

என் ஜனங்களே, நான் உங்கள் பிரேதக்குழிகளைத் திறந்து, உங்களை உங்கள் பிரேதக்குழிகளிலிருந்து வெளிப்படப்பண்ணும்போது, நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்.

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,

என் ஆவியை உங்களுக்குள் வைப்பேன்; நீங்கள் உயிரடைவீர்கள்; நான் உங்களை உங்கள் தேசத்தில் வைப்பேன்; அப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்; இதைச் சொன்னேன், இதைச் செய்வேன் என்று கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

பின்னும் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ ஒரு கோலை எடுத்து, அதிலே யூதாவுக்கும் அதைச் சேர்ந்த இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்கும் அடுத்தது என்று எழுதி; பின்பு வேறொரு கோலை எடுத்து, அதிலே எப்பிராயீமுக்கும் அதைச்சேர்ந்த இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் அனைவருக்கும் அடுத்த யோசேப்பின் கோலென்று எழுதி,

Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

அவைகளை ஒரே கோலாகும்படி ஒன்றோடொன்று இசையச்செய், அவைகள் உன் கையில் ஒன்றாகும்.

And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand.

இவைகளின் பொருள் இன்னதென்று எங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கமாட்டீரோ என்று உன் ஜனத்தின் புத்திரர் உன்னிடத்தில் கேட்டால்,

And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these?

நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், இதோ, எப்பிராயீமுக்கும் அதைச் சேர்ந்த இஸ்ரவேல் கோத்திரங்களுக்கும் அடுத்த யோசேப்பின் கோலை எடுத்து, அதை யூதாவின் கோலோடே சேர்த்து, அவைகளை ஒரே கோலாக்குவேன்; அவைகள் என் கையில் ஒன்றாகும் என்கிறார் என்று சொல்.

Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

சொல்லும்போது, நீ எழுதின கோல்கள் அவர்களுடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக உன் கையில் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.

நீ அவர்களை நோக்கி: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால் இதோ, நான் இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரை அவர்கள் போயிருக்கும் ஜாதிகளிடத்திலிருந்து அழைத்து, சுற்றிலுமிருந்து அவர்களைச் சேர்த்து, அவர்களை அவர்கள் சுயதேசத்திலே வரப்பண்ணி,

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

அவர்களை இஸ்ரவேலின் மலைகளாகிய தேசத்திலே ஒரே ஜாதியாக்குவேன்; ஒரே ராஜா அவர்கள் எல்லாருக்கும் ராஜாவாக இருப்பார்; அவர்கள் இனி இரண்டு ஜாதிகளாக இருப்பதில்லை; அவர்கள் இனி இரண்டு ராஜ்யங்களாகப் பிரிவதுமில்லை.

And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all:

அவர்கள் இனித் தங்கள் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களினாலும் தங்கள் அருவருப்புகளினாலும் தங்களுடைய சகல மீறுதல்களினாலும் தங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்துவதுமில்லை; அவர்கள் குடியிருந்து பாவஞ்செய்த எல்லா இடங்களிலிருந்தும் நான் அவர்களை நீங்கலாக்கி இரட்சித்து, அவர்களைச் சுத்தம் பண்ணுவேன்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என் ஜனமாயிருப்பார்கள், நான் அவர்கள் தேவனாயிருப்பேன்.

Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwellingplaces, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

என் தாசனாகிய தாவீது என்பவர் அவர்கள்மேல் ராஜாவாக இருப்பார்; அவர்கள் எல்லாருக்கும் ஒரே மேய்ப்பர் இருப்பார்; அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் என் நியாயங்களில் நடந்து, என் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு, அவைகளின்படியே செய்து,

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

நான் என் தாசனாகிய யாக்கோபுக்குக் கொடுத்ததும், உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் குடியிருந்ததுமான தேசத்திலே குடியிருப்பார்கள்; அவர்களும் அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளும் அவர்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளின் பிள்ளைகளும் அதிலே என்றென்றைக்கும் குடியிருப்பார்கள்; என் தாசனாகிய தாவீது என்பவர் என்றென்றைக்கும் அவர்களுக்கு அதிபதியாயிருப்பார்.

And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

நான் அவர்களோடே சமாதானஉடன்படிக்கை செய்வேன்; அது அவர்களுக்கு நித்திய உடன்படிக்கையாயிருக்கும்; நான் அவர்களை நிலைப்படுத்தி, அவர்களை வர்த்திக்கப்பண்ணி, அவர்கள் நடுவிலே என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தை என்றென்றைக்கும் ஸ்தாபிப்பேன்.

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

என் வாசஸ்தலம் அவர்களிடத்தில் இருக்கும், நான் அவர்கள் தேவனாயிருப்பேன், அவர்கள் என் ஜனமாயிருப்பார்கள்.

My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

அப்படியே என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலம் அவர்கள் நடுவிலே என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கும்போது, நான் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணுகிற கர்த்தர் என்று ஜாதிகள் அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள் என்கிறார் என்று சொல் என்றார்.

And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

எசேக்கியேல் அத்தியாயம் 38

கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

மனுபுத்திரனே, மேசேக் தூபால் ஜாதிகளின் தலைமையான அதிபதியாகிய மாகோகுதேசத்தானான கோகுக்கு எதிராக நீ உன் முகத்தைத் திருப்பி, அவனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து,

Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,

சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார், மேசேக் தூபால் ஜாதிகளின் அதிபதியாகிய கோகே, இதோ, நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாக வருவேன்.

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:

நான் உன்னைத் திருப்பி, உன் வாயில் துறடுகளைப் போட்டு, உன்னையும் உன்னுடைய எல்லாச் சேனையையும் குதிரைகளையும், சர்வாயுதந்தரித்த குதிரை வீரர்களையும், பரிசையும் கேடகமுமுடைய திரளான கூட்டத்தையும் புறப்படப்பண்ணுவேன்; அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் பட்டயங்களைப் பிடித்திருப்பார்கள்.

And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:

அவர்களோடுகூட பெர்சியரும், எத்தியோப்பியரும், லீபியரும் இருப்பார்கள்; அவர்களெல்லாரும் கேடகம்பிடித்து, தலைச்சீராவுந்தரித்திருப்பவர்கள்.

Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:

கோமேரும் அவனுடைய எல்லா இராணுவங்களும் வடதிசையிலுள்ள தோகர்மா வம்சத்தாரும் அவர்களுடைய எல்லா இராணுவங்களுமாகிய திரளான ஜனங்கள் உன்னுடனேகூட இருப்பார்கள்.

Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.

நீ ஆயத்தப்படு, உன்னுடனேகூடின உன் எல்லாக் கூட்டத்தையும் ஆயத்தப்படுத்து; நீ அவர்களுக்குக் காவலாளனாயிரு.

Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.

அநேக நாட்களுக்குப் பிற்பாடு நீ விசாரிக்கப்படுவாய்; பட்டயத்துக்கு நீங்கலாகி, பற்பல ஜனங்களிலிருந்து சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு வந்தவர்களின் தேசத்தில் கடைசி வருஷங்களிலே வருவாய்; நெடுநாள் பாழாய்க்கிடந்து, பிற்பாடு ஜாதிகளிலிருந்து கொண்டுவரப்பட்டவர்கள் எல்லாரும் சுகத்தோடே குடியிருக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலின் மலைகளுக்கு விரோதமாய் வருவாய்; அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் அஞ்சாமல் குடியிருக்கும்போது,

After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them.

பெருங்காற்றைப்போல் எழும்பி வருவாய்; நீயும் உன்னுடைய எல்லா இராணுவங்களும் உன்னோடேகூட இருக்கும் திரளான ஜனங்களும் கார்மேகம்போல் தேசத்தை மூடுவீர்கள்.

Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: அந்நாளிலே பாழாய்க்கிடந்து திரும்பக் குடியேற்றப்பட்ட ஸ்தலங்களுக்கு விரோதமாகவும், ஜாதிகளிடத்திலிருந்து சேர்க்கப்பட்டதும், ஆடுகளையும், மாடுகளையும், ஆஸ்திகளையும் சம்பாதித்து, தேசத்தின் நடுவில் குடியிருக்கிறதுமான ஜனத்துக்கு விரோதமாகவும், நீ உன் கையைத் திருப்பும்படிக்கு,

Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

உன் இருதயத்தில் யோசனைகள் எழும்ப, நீ பொல்லாத நினைவை நினைத்து,

And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

நான் கொள்ளையிடவும் சூறையாடவும், மதில்களில்லாமல் கிடக்கிற கிராமங்களுள்ள தேசத்துக்கு விரோதமாய்ப்போவேன்; நிர்விசாரமாய்ச் சுகத்தோடே குடியிருக்கிறவர்களின்மேல் வருவேன்; அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் மதில்களில்லாமல் குடியிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுக்குத் தாழ்ப்பாளும் இல்லை, கதவுகளும் இல்லை என்பாய்.

To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.

சேபா தேசத்தாரும், தேதான் தேசத்தாரும், தர்ஷீசின் வர்த்தகரும் அதினுடைய பாலசிங்கங்களான அனைவரும் உன்னை நோக்கி: நீ கொள்ளையிட அல்லவோ வருகிறாயென்றும், நீ சூறையாடி, வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும் ஆஸ்தியையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதற்கும், ஆடுகளையும் மாடுகளையும் பிடிக்கிறதற்கும், மிகவும் கொள்ளையிடுகிறதற்கும் அல்லவோ உன்னுடைய கூட்டத்தைக் கூட்டினாயென்றும் சொல்லுவார்கள்.

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great spoil?

ஆகையால் மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து, கோகை நோக்கிச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்; கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார்; என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் சுகமாய்க் குடியிருக்கிற அக்காலத்திலே நீ அதை அறிவாய் அல்லவோ?

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know it?

அப்பொழுது நீயும் உன்னுடனேகூடத் திரளான ஜனங்களும் வடதிசையிலுள்ள உன் ஸ்தானத்திலிருந்து வருவீர்கள்; அவர்கள் பெரிய கூட்டமும் திரளான சேனையுமாயிருந்து, எல்லாரும் குதிரைகளின்மேல் ஏறுகிறவர்களாயிருப்பார்கள்.

And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army:

நீ தேசத்தைக் கார்மேகம்போல்மூட, என் ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பிவருவாய்; கடைசி நாட்களிலே இது சம்பவிக்கும்; கோகே, ஜாதிகளின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக உன்மூலமாய் நான் பரிசுத்தர் என்று விளங்கப்படுகிறதினால் அவர்கள் என்னை அறியும்படிக்கு உன்னை என் தேசத்துக்கு விரோதமாக வரப்பண்ணுவேன்.

And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.

உன்னை அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக வரப்பண்ணுவேன் என்று பூர்வ நாட்களிலே அநேக வருஷகாலமாய்த் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகிய என் ஊழியக்காரரைக்கொண்டு, அந்நாட்களிலே நான் குறித்துச்சொன்னவன் நீ அல்லவோ என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?

இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்துக்கு விரோதமாக கோகு வரும்காலத்தில் என் உக்கிரம் என் நாசியில் ஏறுமென்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.

அந்நாளிலே இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலே பெரிய அதிர்ச்சி உண்டாகி,

For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;

என் பிரசன்னத்தினால் சமுத்திரத்து மச்சங்களும், ஆகாயத்துப்பறவைகளும், வெளியின் மிருகங்களும், தரையில் ஊருகிற சகல பிராணிகளும், தேசமெங்குமுள்ள சகல நரஜீவன்களும் அதிரும்; பர்வதங்கள் இடியும்; செங்குத்தானவைகள் விழும்; எல்லா மதில்களும் தரையிலே விழுந்துபோகும் என்று என் எரிச்சலினாலும் என் சினத்தின் அக்கினியினாலும் நிச்சயமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.

என் எல்லா மலைகளிலும் பட்டயத்தை அவனுக்கு விரோதமாக வரவழைப்பேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அவனவன் பட்டயம் அவனவன் சகோதரனுக்கு விரோதமாயிருக்கும்.

And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be against his brother.

கொள்ளைநோயினாலும் இரத்தம்சிந்துதலினாலும் நான் அவனோடே வழக்காடி, அவன்மேலும் அவன் இராணுவங்களின்மேலும் அவனோடிருக்கும் திரளான ஜனங்களின்மேலும் வெள்ளமாய் அடிக்கும் மழையையும், பெருங்கல்மழையையும், அக்கினியையும், கந்தகத்தையும் வருஷிக்கப்பண்ணுவேன்.

And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.

இவ்விதமாய் நான் அநேக ஜாதிகளின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக என் மகத்துவத்தையும் என் பரிசுத்தத்தையும் விளங்கப்பண்ணி, அறியப்படுவேன்; அப்பொழுது நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.

1தீமோத்தேயு அத்தியாயம் 1

நம்முடைய இரட்சகராயிருக்கிற தேவனும், நம்முடைய நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவும் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே, இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் அப்போஸ்தலனாயிருக்கிற பவுல்,

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope;

விசுவாசத்தில் உத்தம குமாரனாகிய தீமோத்தேயுவுக்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது: நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினாலும் கிருபையும் இரக்கமும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

Unto Timothy, my own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.

வேற்றுமையான உபதேசங்களைப் போதியாதபடிக்கும், விசுவாசத்தினால் விளங்கும் தெய்வீக பக்திவிருத்திக்கு ஏதுவாயிராமல், தர்க்கங்களுக்கு ஏதுவாயிருக்கிற கட்டுக்கதைகளையும் முடிவில்லாத வம்சவரலாறுகளையும் கவனியாதபடிக்கும், நீ சிலருக்குக் கட்டளையிடும்பொருட்டாக,

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

நான் மக்கெதோனியாவுக்குப் போகும்போது, உன்னை எபேசு பட்டணத்திலிருக்க வேண்டிக்கொண்டபடியே செய்வாயாக.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

கற்பனையின் பொருள் என்னவெனில், சுத்தமான இருதயத்திலும் நல்மனச்சாட்சியிலும் மாயமற்ற விசுவாசத்திலும் பிறக்கும் அன்பே.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

இவைகளைச் சிலர் நோக்காமல் வீண்பேச்சுக்கு இடங்கொடுத்து விலகிப்போனார்கள்.

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

தாங்கள் சொல்லுகிறது இன்னதென்றும், தாங்கள் சாதிக்கிறது இன்னதென்றும் அறியாதிருந்தும், நியாயப்பிரமாண போதகராயிருக்க விரும்புகிறார்கள்.

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

ஒருவன் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தை நியாயப்படி அநுசரித்தால், நியாயப்பிரமாணம் நல்லதென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறோம்.

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

எங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்திருக்கிறபடி, நியாயப்பிரமாணம் நீதிமானுக்கு விதிக்கப்படாமல், அக்கிரமக்காரருக்கும், அடங்காதவர்களுக்கும், பக்தியில்லாதவர்களுக்கும், பாவிகளுக்கும், அசுத்தருக்கும், சீர்கெட்டவர்களுக்கும், தாய் தகப்பன்மாரை அடிக்கிறவர்களுக்கும், கொலைபாதகருக்கும்,

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

வேசிக்கள்ளருக்கும், ஆண்புணர்ச்சிக்காரருக்கும், மனுஷரைத் திருடுகிறவர்களுக்கும், பொய்யருக்கும், பொய்யாணை இடுகிறவர்களுக்கும்,

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

நித்தியானந்த தேவனுடைய மகிமையான சுவிசேஷத்தின்படி எனக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற ஆரோக்கியமான உபதேசத்திற்கு எதிரிடையாயிருக்கிற மற்றெந்தச் செய்கைக்கும் விரோதமாய் விதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

என்னைப் பலப்படுத்துகிற நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்து என்னை உண்மையுள்ளவனென்றெண்ணி, இந்த ஊழியத்திற்கு ஏற்படுத்தினபடியால், அவரை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

முன்னே நான் தூஷிக்கிறவனும், துன்பப்படுத்துகிறவனும், கொடுமை செய்கிறவனுமாயிருந்தேன்; அப்படியிருந்தும், நான் அறியாமல் அவிசுவாசத்தினாலே அப்படிச் செய்தபடியினால் இரக்கம்பெற்றேன்.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தரின் கிருபை கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின்மேலுள்ள விசுவாசத்தோடும் அன்போடுங்கூட என்னிடத்தில் பரிபூரணமாய்ப் பெருகிற்று.

And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

பாவிகளை இரட்சிக்க கிறிஸ்து இயேசு உலகத்தில் வந்தார் என்கிற வார்த்தை உண்மையும் எல்லா அங்கிகரிப்புக்கும் பாத்திரமுமானது; அவர்களில் பிரதான பாவி நான்.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

அப்படியிருந்தும், நித்திய ஜீவனை அடையும்படி இனிமேல் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினிடத்தில் விசுவாசமாயிருப்பவர்களுக்குத் திருஷ்டாந்தம் உண்டாகும்பொருட்டுப் பிரதான பாவியாகிய என்னிடத்தில் அவர் எல்லா நீடிய பொறுமையையும் காண்பிக்கும்படிக்கு இரக்கம்பெற்றேன்.

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

நித்தியமும் அழிவில்லாமையும் அதரிசனமுமுள்ள ராஜனுமாய், தாம் ஒருவரே ஞானமுள்ள தேவனுமாயிருக்கிறவருக்கு, கனமும் மகிமையும் சதாகாலங்களிலும் உண்டாயிருப்பதாக. ஆமென்.

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

குமாரனாகிய தீமோத்தேயுவே, உன்னைக்குறித்து முன் உண்டான தீர்க்கதரிசனங்களின்படியே, நீ அவைகளை முன்னிட்டு நல்ல போராட்டம்பண்ணும்படி, இந்தக் கட்டளையை உனக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கிறேன்; நீ விசுவாசமும் நல்மனச்சாட்சியும் உடையவனாயிரு.

This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

இந்த நல்மனச்சாட்சியைச் சிலர் தள்ளிவிட்டு, விசுவாசமாகிய கப்பலைச் சேதப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

இமெனேயும் அலெக்சந்தரும் அப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள்; அவர்கள் தூஷியாதபடி சிட்சிக்கப்பட அவர்களைச் சாத்தானிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்.

Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.

1தீமோத்தேயு அத்தியாயம் 2

நான் பிரதானமாய்ச் சொல்லுகிற புத்தியென்னவெனில், எல்லா மனுஷருக்காகவும் விண்ணப்பங்களையும் ஜெபங்களையும் வேண்டுதல்களையும் ஸ்தோத்திரங்களையும்பண்ணவேண்டும்;

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

நாம் எல்லாப் பக்தியோடும் நல்லொழுக்கத்தோடும் கலகமில்லாமல் அமைதலுள்ள ஜீவனம்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, ராஜாக்களுக்காகவும், அதிகாரமுள்ள யாவருக்காகவும் அப்படியே செய்யவேண்டும்.

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

நம்முடைய இரட்சகராகிய தேவனுக்கு முன்பாக அது நன்மையும் பிரியமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

எல்லா மனுஷரும் இரட்சிக்கப்படவும், சத்தியத்தை அறிகிற அறிவை அடையவும், அவர் சித்தமுள்ளவராயிருக்கிறார்.

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

தேவன் ஒருவரே, தேவனுக்கும் மனுஷருக்கும் மத்தியஸ்தரும் ஒருவரே.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

எல்லாரையும் மீட்கும்பொருளாகத் தம்மை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்த மனுஷனாகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசு அவரே; இதற்குரிய சாட்சி ஏற்ற காலங்களில் விளங்கிவருகிறது.

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

இதற்காகவே நான் பிரசங்கியாகவும், அப்போஸ்தலனாகவும், புறஜாதிகளுக்கு விசுவாசத்தையும் சத்தியத்தையும் விளங்கப்பண்ணுகிறபோதகனாகவும் நியமிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்; நான் பொய் சொல்லாமல் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் உண்மையைச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

அன்றியும், புருஷர்கள் கோபமும் தர்க்கமுமில்லாமல் பரிசுத்தமான கைகளை உயர்த்தி, எல்லா இடங்களிலேயும் ஜெபம்பண்ணவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புகிறேன்.

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

ஸ்திரீகளும் மயிரைப் பின்னுதலினாலாவது, பொன்னினாலாவது, முத்துக்களினாலாவது, விலையேறப்பெற்ற வஸ்திரத்தினாலாவது தங்களை அலங்கரியாமல்,

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

தகுதியான வஸ்திரத்தினாலும், நாணத்தினாலும், தெளிந்த புத்தியினாலும், தேவபக்தியுள்ளவர்களென்று சொல்லிக்கொள்ளுகிற ஸ்திரீகளுக்கு ஏற்றபடியே நற்கிரியைகளினாலும், தங்களை அலங்கரிக்கவேண்டும்.

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

ஸ்திரீயானவள் எல்லாவற்றிலும் அடக்கமுடையவளாயிருந்து, அமைதலோடு கற்றுக்கொள்ளக்கடவள்.

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

உபதேசம்பண்ணவும், புருஷன்மேல் அதிகாரஞ்செலுத்தவும், ஸ்திரீயானவளுக்கு நான் உத்தரவு கொடுக்கிறதில்லை; அவள் அமைதலாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

என்னத்தினாலெனில், முதலாவது ஆதாம் உருவாக்கப்பட்டான், பின்பு ஏவாள் உருவாக்கப்பட்டாள்.

For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

மேலும், ஆதாம் வஞ்சிக்கப்படவில்லை, ஸ்திரீயானவளே வஞ்சிக்கப்பட்டு மீறுதலுக்கு உட்பட்டாள்.

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

அப்படியிருந்தும், தெளிந்த புத்தியோடு விசுவாசத்திலும் அன்பிலும் பரிசுத்தத்திலும் நிலைகொண்டிருந்தால், பிள்ளைப்பேற்றினாலே இரட்சிக்கப்படுவாள்.

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1தீமோத்தேயு அத்தியாயம் 3

கண்காணிப்பை விரும்புகிறவன் நல்ல வேலையை விரும்புகிறான், இது உண்மையான வார்த்தை.

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.

ஆகையால் கண்காணியானவன் குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்படாதவனும், ஒரே மனைவியை உடைய புருஷனும், ஜாக்கிரதையுள்ளவனும், தெளிந்த புத்தியுள்ளவனும், யோக்கியதையுள்ளவனும், அந்நியரை உபசரிக்கிறவனும், போதகசமர்த்தனுமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

அவன் மதுபானப்பிரியனும், அடிக்கிறவனும், இழிவான ஆதாயத்தை இச்சிக்கிறவனுமாயிராமல், பொறுமையுள்ளவனும், சண்டைபண்ணாதவனும், பண ஆசையில்லாதவனுமாயிருந்து,

Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;

தன் சொந்தக் குடும்பத்தை நன்றாய் நடத்துகிறவனும், தன் பிள்ளைகளைச் சகல நல்லொழுக்கமுள்ளவர்களாகக் கீழ்ப்படியப்பண்ணுகிறவனுமாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;

ஒருவன் தன் சொந்தக் குடும்பத்தை நடத்த அறியாதிருந்தால், தேவனுடைய சபையை எப்படி விசாரிப்பான்?

For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

அவன் இறுமாப்படைந்து, பிசாசு அடைந்த ஆக்கினையிலே விழாதபடிக்கு, நூதன சீஷனாயிருக்கக்கூடாது.

Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

அவன் நிந்தனையிலும், பிசாசின் கண்ணியிலும் விழாதபடிக்கு, புறம்பானவர்களால் நற்சாட்சி பெற்றவனாயுமிருக்கவேண்டும்.

Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

அந்தப்படியே, உதவிக்காரரும் இருநாக்குள்ளவர்களாயும், மதுபானப்பிரியராயும், இழிவான ஆதாயத்தை இச்சிக்கிறவர்களாயும் இராமல், நல்லொழுக்கமுள்ளவர்களாயும்,

Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;

விசுவாசத்தின் இரகசியத்தைச் சுத்த மனச்சாட்சியிலே காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களாயும் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

மேலும், இவர்கள் முன்னதாகச் சோதிக்கப்படவேண்டும்; குற்றஞ்சாட்டப்படாதவர்களானால் உதவிக்காரராக ஊழியஞ்செய்யலாம்.

And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless.

அந்தப்படியே ஸ்திரீகளும் நல்லொழுக்கமுள்ளவர்களும், அவதூறுபண்ணாதவர்களும், தெளிந்த புத்தியுள்ளவர்களும், எல்லாவற்றிலேயும் உண்மையுள்ளவர்களுமாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things.

மேலும், உதவிக்காரரானவர்கள் ஒரே மனைவியையுடைய புருஷருமாய், தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் சொந்தக் குடும்பங்களையும் நன்றாய் நடத்துகிறவர்களுமாயிருக்கவேண்டும்.

Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

இப்படி உதவிக்காரருடைய ஊழியத்தை நன்றாய்ச் செய்கிறவர்கள் தங்களுக்கு நல்ல நிலையையும், கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தில் மிகுந்த தைரியத்தையும் அடைவார்கள்.

For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

நான் உன்னிடத்திற்குச் சீக்கிரமாய் வருவேனென்று நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:

தாமதிப்பேனாகில், தேவனுடைய வீட்டிலே நடக்கவேண்டிய வகையை நீ அறியும்படி இவைகளை உனக்கு எழுதுகிறேன்; அந்த வீடு ஜீவனுள்ள தேவனுடைய சபையாய்ச் சத்தியத்துக்குத் தூணும் ஆதாரமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

அன்றியும், தேவபக்திக்குரிய இரகசியமானது யாவரும் ஒப்புக்கொள்ளுகிறபடியே மகாமேன்மையுள்ளது. தேவன் மாம்சத்திலே வெளிப்பட்டார், ஆவியிலே நீதியுள்ளவரென்று விளங்கப்பட்டார், தேவதூதர்களால் காணப்பட்டார், புறஜாதிகளிடத்தில் பிரசங்கிக்கப்பட்டார், உலகத்திலே விசுவாசிக்கப்பட்டார், மகிமையிலே ஏறெடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்டார்.

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
