எசேக்கியேல் அத்தியாயம் 23

கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

மனுபுத்திரனே, ஒரே தாயின் குமாரத்திகளாகிய இரண்டு ஸ்திரீகள் இருந்தார்கள்.

Son of man, there were two women, the daughters of one mother:

அவர்கள் எகிப்திலே வேசித்தனம்பண்ணினார்கள்; தங்கள் இளம்பிராயத்திலே வேசித்தனம் பண்ணினார்கள்; அங்கே அவர்களுடைய ஸ்தனங்கள் அமுக்கப்பட்டு, அவர்களுடைய கன்னிமையின் கொங்கைகள் தொடப்பட்டது.

And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.

அவர்களில் மூத்தவளின் பெயர் அகோலாள், அவளுடைய தங்கையின் பெயர் அகோலிபாள்; அவர்கள் என்னுடையவர்களாகி, குமாரரையும் குமாரத்திகளையும் பெற்றார்கள்; இவைகளே அவர்களுடைய பெயர்கள்; அகோலாள் என்பதற்குச் சமாரியா என்றும், அகோலிபாள் என்பதற்கு எருசலேம் என்றும் பொருளாம்.

And the names of them were Aholah the elder, and Aholibah her sister: and they were mine, and they bare sons and daughters. Thus were their names; Samaria is Aholah, and Jerusalem Aholibah.

அகோலாள் என்னுடையவளாயிருக்கும்போது சோரம்போனாள்.

And Aholah played the harlot when she was mine; and she doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians her neighbours,

நீலாம்பரந்தரித்த தலைவரும், அதிபதிகளும், சௌந்தரிய வாலிபரும், குதிரைகளின்மேல் ஏறுகிற வீரருமாயிருந்த சமீபதேசத்தாராகிய அசீரியரென்கிற தன் சிநேகிதர்மேல் அவள் மோகித்து,

Which were clothed with blue, captains and rulers, all of them desirable young men, horsemen riding upon horses.

அசீரியரின் புத்திரரில் சிரேஷ்டமான அனைவரோடும், தான் மோகித்த அனைவரோடும் தன் வேசித்தனங்களை நடப்பித்து, அவர்களுடைய நரகலான சகல விக்கிரகங்களாலும் தீட்டுப்பட்டுப்போனாள்.

Thus she committed her whoredoms with them, with all them that were the chosen men of Assyria, and with all on whom she doted: with all their idols she defiled herself.

தான் எகிப்திலேபண்ணின வேசித்தனங்களை அவள் விடவில்லை; அவர்கள் அவளுடைய வாலிபத்திலே அவளோடே சயனித்து, அவளுடைய கன்னிமையின் கொங்கைகளைத் தொட்டு, அவளிடத்தில் தங்கள் வேசித்தனத்தை நடப்பித்தார்கள்.

Neither left she her whoredoms brought from Egypt: for in her youth they lay with her, and they bruised the breasts of her virginity, and poured their whoredom upon her.

ஆகையால் அவளுடைய சிநேகிதரின் கையிலே, அவள் மோகித்திருந்த அசீரிய புத்திரரின் கையிலே, நான் அவளை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்.

Wherefore I have delivered her into the hand of her lovers, into the hand of the Assyrians, upon whom she doted.

அவர்கள் அவளை நிர்வாணமாக்கினார்கள்; அவளுடைய குமாரரையும் அவளுடைய குமாரத்திகளையும் சிறைபிடித்து, அவளையோ பட்டயத்தினால் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்; அப்படியே அவளிடத்தில் ஆக்கினைகள் செய்யப்பட்டபடியினால் ஸ்திரீகளுக்குள் அவகீர்த்தியுள்ளவளானாள்.

These discovered her nakedness: they took her sons and her daughters, and slew her with the sword: and she became famous among women; for they had executed judgment upon her.

அவளுடைய தங்கையாகிய அகோலிபாள் இதைக் கண்டும், தன் மோகவிகாரத்தில் அவளைப் பார்க்கிலும் கெட்டவளானாள்; தன் சகோதரியின் வேசித்தனங்களிலும் தன் வேசித்தனங்கள் அதிகமாயிற்று.

And when her sister Aholibah saw this, she was more corrupt in her inordinate love than she, and in her whoredoms more than her sister in her whoredoms.

மகா அலங்கார உடுப்புள்ள தலைவரும், அதிபதிகளும், குதிரைகள்மேல் ஏறுகிற வீரரும், சௌந்தரியமுள்ள வாலிபருமான சமீபதேசத்தாராகிய அசீரிய புத்திரர்மேல் மோகங்கொண்டாள்.

She doted upon the Assyrians her neighbours, captains and rulers clothed most gorgeously, horsemen riding upon horses, all of them desirable young men.

அவளும் அசுத்தமானாளென்றும், அவர்கள் இருவரும் ஒரே வழியில் போனார்களென்றும் கண்டேன்.

Then I saw that she was defiled, that they took both one way,

அவள் தன் வேசித்தனங்களில் அதிகரித்தாள்; சுவரில் ஜாதிலிங்கத்தால் சித்திரந்தீர்ந்த கல்தேயரின் புருஷசுரூபங்களைக் கண்டாள்.

And that she increased her whoredoms: for when she saw men pourtrayed upon the wall, the images of the Chaldeans pourtrayed with vermilion,

அவர்கள் எல்லாரும் தங்கள் ஜென்மதேசமாகிய கல்தேயாவில் உள்ள பாபிலோன் புத்திரரின் சாயலாகத் தங்கள் அரைகளில் கச்சை கட்டினவர்களும், தங்கள் தலைகளில் சாயந்தீர்ந்த பெரிய பாகைகளைத் தரித்தவர்களும், பார்வைக்கு ராஜகுமாரர்களுமாக இருந்தார்கள்.

Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to, after the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity:

அவளுடைய கண்கள் அவர்களைப் பார்த்தவுடனே, அவள் அவர்கள்மேல் மோகித்து, கல்தேயாவுக்கு அவர்களண்டையிலே ஸ்தானாதிபதிகளை அனுப்பினாள்.

And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.

அப்பொழுது பாபிலோன் புத்திரர் அவளண்டையிலே சிநேக சம்போகத்துக்கு வந்து, தங்கள் வேசித்தனங்களால் அவளைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தினார்கள்; அவள் இவர்களால் தீட்டுப்பட்டுப்போனபின்பு, அவள் மனது அவர்களை விட்டுப் பிரிந்தது.

And the Babylonians came to her into the bed of love, and they defiled her with their whoredom, and she was polluted with them, and her mind was alienated from them.

இவ்விதமாய் அவள் தன் வேசித்தனங்களை வெளிப்படுத்தி, தன்னை நிர்வாணமாக்கினபோது, என் மனம் அவளுடைய சகோதரியை விட்டுப் பிரிந்ததுபோல அவளையும் விட்டுப் பிரிந்தது.

So she discovered her whoredoms, and discovered her nakedness: then my mind was alienated from her, like as my mind was alienated from her sister.

அவள் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே வேசித்தனம்பண்ணின தன் வாலிபத்தின் நாட்களை நினைத்து, தன் வேசித்தனங்களில் அதிகரித்துப்போனாள்.

Yet she multiplied her whoredoms, in calling to remembrance the days of her youth, wherein she had played the harlot in the land of Egypt.

கழுதைமாம்சமான மாம்சமும், குதிரை இந்திரியமான இந்திரியமுமுள்ள அவர்களுக்கு அவள் வைப்பாட்டியாயிருக்கும்படி அவர்கள்மேல் மோகித்தாள்.

For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

எகிப்தியரால் உன் கன்னிமையின் ஸ்தனங்களாகிய கொங்கைகள் தொடப்பட்ட காலத்தில், நீ உன் இளம்பிராயத்தில் செய்த முறைகேடுகளை நினைத்துவருகிறாய்.

Thus thou calledst to remembrance the lewdness of thy youth, in bruising thy teats by the Egyptians for the paps of thy youth.

ஆகையால், அகோலிபாளே, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, உன் மனது விட்டுப்பிரிந்த உன் சிநேகிதரை நான் உனக்கு விரோதமாக எழுப்பி, உனக்கு விரோதமாக அவர்களைச் சுற்றிலும் வரப்பண்ணுவேன்.

Therefore, O Aholibah, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will raise up thy lovers against thee, from whom thy mind is alienated, and I will bring them against thee on every side;

சௌந்தரியமுள்ள வாலிபரும், தலைவரும், அதிபதிகளும், குதிரைகள்மேல் ஏறுகிற வீரருமாகிய பேர்பெற்ற பிரபுக்களான பாபிலோன் புத்திரரையும், கல்தேயர் எல்லாரையும், பேகோடு, சோவா, கோவா என்கிற தேசங்களின் மனுஷரையும் அவர்களோடேகூட அசீரிய புத்திரர் எல்லாரையும் வரப்பண்ணுவேன்.

The Babylonians, and all the Chaldeans, Pekod, and Shoa, and Koa, and all the Assyrians with them: all of them desirable young men, captains and rulers, great lords and renowned, all of them riding upon horses.

அவர்கள் வண்டிகளோடும், இரதங்களோடும், இயந்திரங்களோடும், ஜனக்கூட்டத்தோடும், கேடகங்களும், பரிசைகளும், தலைச்சீராக்களும் தரித்தவர்களாய், உனக்கு விரோதமாக வந்து, உன்னை சுற்றிலும் பாளயமிறங்குவார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கு முன்னே நான் நியாயத்தை விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் நியாயங்களின்படி உன்னை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார்கள்.

And they shall come against thee with chariots, wagons, and wheels, and with an assembly of people, which shall set against thee buckler and shield and helmet round about: and I will set judgment before them, and they shall judge thee according to their judgments.

உனக்கு விரோதமாக என் எரிச்சலை விளங்கப்பண்ணுவேன்; அவர்கள் உன்னை உக்கிரமாய் நடப்பித்து, உன் மூக்கையும் உன் காதுகளையும் அறுத்துப்போடுவார்கள்; உன்னில் மீதியாயிருப்பவர்கள் பட்டயத்தால் வெட்டுண்டுபோவார்கள்; அவர்கள் உன் குமாரரையும் உன் குமாரத்திகளையும் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்; உன்னில் மீதியாயிருப்பவர்கள் அக்கினிக்கு இரையாவார்கள்.

And I will set my jealousy against thee, and they shall deal furiously with thee: they shall take away thy nose and thine ears; and thy remnant shall fall by the sword: they shall take thy sons and thy daughters; and thy residue shall be devoured by the fire.

அவர்கள் உன் வஸ்திரங்களை உரிந்து, உன் சிங்காரமான ஆபரணங்களைப் பறித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்.

They shall also strip thee out of thy clothes, and take away thy fair jewels.

இவ்விதமாய் உன் முறைகேட்டையும், நீ எகிப்துதேசத்தில் துவக்கின உன் வேசித்தனத்தையும் ஒழியப்பண்ணுவேன்; நீ இனி அவர்களை நோக்க உன் கண்களை ஏறெடுக்காமலும், எகிப்தை நினையாமலும் இருப்பாய்.

Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: இதோ, நீ பகைக்கிறவர்களின் கையிலும், உன் மனம்விட்டுப் பிரிந்தவர்களின் கையிலும் நான் உன்னை ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy mind is alienated:

அவர்கள் உன்னை வெறுப்பாய் நடத்தி, உன் பிரயாசத்தின் பலனையெல்லாம் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு, உன்னை அம்மணமும், நிர்வாணமுமாக்கிவிடுவார்கள்; அப்படியே உன் வெட்கக்கேடும் உன் முறைகேடுமான உன் வேசித்தனத்தின் நிர்வாணம் வெளிப்படுத்தப்படும்.

And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

நீ புறஜாதிகளைப் பின்தொடர்ந்து, அவர்களுடைய நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களால் உன்னைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்திக்கொண்ட உன் வேசித்தனத்தினிமித்தம் இவைகள் உனக்குச் செய்யப்படும்.

I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols.

உன் சகோதரியின் வழியிலே நீ நடந்தாய்; ஆகையால் அவளுடைய பாத்திரத்தை உன் கையிலே கொடுப்பேன்.

Thou hast walked in the way of thy sister; therefore will I give her cup into thine hand.

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நீ உன் சகோதரியினுடைய ஆழமும் அகலமுமானதும் நிறைய வார்க்கப்பட்டதுமான பாத்திரத்தைக் குடித்து, நகைப்பும் பரியாசமுமாவாய்.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou shalt drink of thy sister's cup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much.

சமாரியா என்னும் உன் சகோதரியினுடைய பாத்திரமாயிருக்கிற பிரமிப்பும் பாழ்க்கடிப்பும் என்கிற பாத்திரத்தால் வெறியினாலும் சஞ்சலத்தினாலும் நிறையப்படுவாய்.

Thou shalt be filled with drunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.

நீ அதில் இருக்கிறதைக் குடித்து, உறிஞ்சி, அதின் ஓடுகளை உடைத்துப்போட்டு, உன் ஸ்தனங்களைக் கீறிக்கொள்வாய்; நான் இதைச் சொன்னேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார்.

Thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt break the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

ஆகையால், நீ என்னை மறந்து, என்னை உனக்குப் புறம்பே தள்ளிவிட்டதினிமித்தம், நீ உன் முறைகேட்டையும் உன் வேசித்தனங்களையும் சுமப்பாய் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast forgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

பின்னும் கர்த்தர் என்னை நோக்கி: மனுபுத்திரனே. நீ அகோலாளையும் அகோலிபாளையும் குறித்து வழக்காட மனதானால், அவர்களுடைய அருவருப்புகளை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியக்காட்டு.

The LORD said moreover unto me; Son of man, wilt thou judge Aholah and Aholibah? yea, declare unto them their abominations;

அவர்கள் விபசாரம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவர்கள் கைகளில் இரத்தமும் இருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் தங்கள் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களோடே விபசாரம்பண்ணி, தாங்கள் எனக்குப்பெற்ற தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் அவைகளுக்கு இரையாகத் தீக்கடக்கப்பண்ணினார்கள்.

That they have committed adultery, and blood is in their hands, and with their idols have they committed adultery, and have also caused their sons, whom they bare unto me, to pass for them through the fire, to devour them.

அன்றியும் அவர்கள் என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தை அந்நாளிலேதானே தீட்டுப்படுத்தி, என் ஓய்வு நாட்களைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கினார்கள்.

Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my sabbaths.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிள்ளைகளைத் தங்கள் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களுக்கென்று பலியிட்டபின்பு, அவர்கள் என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்க அந்நாளில்தானே அதற்குள் பிரவேசித்தார்கள்; இதோ, என் ஆலயத்தின் நடுவிலே இப்படிச் செய்தார்கள்.

For when they had slain their children to their idols, then they came the same day into my sanctuary to profane it; and, lo, thus have they done in the midst of mine house.

இதுவுமல்லாமல், தூரத்திலுள்ள புருஷரிடத்திற்குத் தூது அனுப்பி, அவர்களை வரவழைத்தார்கள், அவர்கள் வந்தார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கென்று நீ குளித்து, உன் கண்களில் மையிட்டுக்கொண்டு ஆபரணங்களால் உன்னை அலங்கரித்து,

And furthermore, that ye have sent for men to come from far, unto whom a messenger was sent; and, lo, they came: for whom thou didst wash thyself, paintedst thy eyes, and deckedst thyself with ornaments,

சிறந்த மஞ்சத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்துகொண்டாய்; அதின் முன்னே ஒரு பீடம் ஆயத்தம் பண்ணப்பட்டிருந்தது; என் தூபவர்க்கத்தையும் என் எண்ணெயையும் அதின்மேல் வைத்தாய்.

And satest upon a stately bed, and a table prepared before it, whereupon thou hast set mine incense and mine oil.

அவளிடத்திலே அந்தச் சந்தடியின் இரைச்சல் அடங்கின பின்பு, ஜனத்திரளான புருஷரையும் அழைத்தனுப்பினார்கள்; சபேயர் வனாந்தரத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவரப்பட்டார்கள்; இவர்கள் அவர்களுடைய கைகளில் கடகங்களையும் அவர்களுடைய தலைகளில் அலங்காரமான கிரீடங்களையும் போட்டார்கள்.

And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, which put bracelets upon their hands, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.

விபசாரங்களில் கிழவியானவளைக் குறித்து அவள் இன்னும் தன் வேசித்தனங்களைச் செய்வாளோ என்றேன்.

Then said I unto her that was old in adulteries, Will they now commit whoredoms with her, and she with them?

பரஸ்திரீயினிடத்திலே பிரவேசிக்குமாப்போல அவளிடத்தில் பிரவேசித்தார்கள்; இந்தப் பிரகாரமாக முறைகேடானவர்களாகிய அகோலாளிடத்திலும் அகோலிபாளிடத்திலும் பிரவேசித்தார்கள்.

Yet they went in unto her, as they go in unto a woman that playeth the harlot: so went they in unto Aholah and unto Aholibah, the lewd women.

ஆகையால், விபசாரிகளை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறபிரகாரமாகவும், இரத்தஞ்சிந்தும் ஸ்திரீகளை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறபிரகாரமாகவும், நீதிமான்கள் அவர்களை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பார்கள்; அவர்கள் விபசாரிகள், அவர்களுடைய கைகளில் இரத்தம் இருக்கிறது.

And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: நான் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் ஒரு கூட்டத்தை வரப்பண்ணி, அவர்களை அலைச்சலுக்கும் கொள்ளைக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பேன்.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; I will bring up a company upon them, and will give them to be removed and spoiled.

அந்தக் கூட்டத்தார் அவர்களைக் கல்லெறிந்து, தங்கள் பட்டயங்களால் வெட்டிப்போடுவார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய குமாரரையும் அவர்களுடைய குமாரத்திகளையும் கொன்று, அவர்களுடைய வீடுகளை அக்கினியால் சுட்டெரிப்பார்கள்.

And the company shall stone them with stones, and dispatch them with their swords; they shall slay their sons and their daughters, and burn up their houses with fire.

இவ்விதமாய் எல்லா ஸ்திரீகளும் புத்தியடைந்து, உங்கள் முறைகேடுகளைச் செய்யாதிருக்கும்படி, முறைகேட்டைத் தேசத்தைவிட்டு ஒழியப்பண்ணுவேன்.

Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

உங்கள் முறைகேட்டை உங்கள்மேல் சுமத்துவார்கள்; அப்பொழுது நீங்கள் உங்கள் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களைச் சேவித்த பாவங்களைச் சுமந்து, நான் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்.

And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

பிலிப்பியர் அத்தியாயம் 1

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் ஊழியக்காரராகிய பவுலும் தீமோத்தேயும், பிலிப்பி பட்டணத்தில் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள்ளான பரிசுத்தவான்கள் அனைவருக்கும், கண்காணிகளுக்கும், உதவிக்காரருக்கும் எழுதுகிறதாவது:

Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:

நம்முடைய பிதாவாகிய தேவனாலும் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலும் உங்களுக்குக் கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உண்டாவதாக.

Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

சுவிசேஷம் உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட நாள்முதல் இதுவரைக்கும் நீங்கள் அதற்கு உடன்பட்டவர்களானபடியால்,

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,

நான் பண்ணுகிற ஒவ்வொரு விண்ணப்பத்திலும் உங்கள் அனைவருக்காகவும் எப்போதும் சந்தோஷத்தோடே விண்ணப்பம்பண்ணி,

Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,

உங்களில் நற்கிரியையைத் தொடங்கினவர் அதை இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாள்பரியந்தம் முடிய நடத்திவருவாரென்று நம்பி,

For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;

நான் உங்களை நினைக்கிறபொழுதெல்லாம் என் தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறேன்.

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

என் கட்டுகளிலும், நான் சுவிசேஷத்திற்காக உத்தரவுசொல்லி அதைத் திடப்படுத்திவருகிறதிலும், நீங்கள் அனைவரும் எனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட கிருபையில் பங்குள்ளவர்களானதால், உங்களை என் இருதயத்தில் தரித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறபடியினாலே, உங்களெல்லாரையுங்குறித்து நான் இப்படி நினைக்கிறது எனக்குத் தகுதியாயிருக்கிறது.

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் உருக்கமான அன்பிலே உங்களெல்லார்மேலும் எவ்வளவோ வாஞ்சையாயிருக்கிறேன் என்பதற்கு தேவனே எனக்குச் சாட்சி.

For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.

மேலும், உத்தமமானவைகளை நீங்கள் ஒப்புக்கொள்ளத்தக்கதாக உங்கள் அன்பானது அறிவிலும் எல்லா உணர்விலும் இன்னும் அதிகமதிகமாய்ப் பெருகவும்,

And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;

தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும் துதியும் உண்டாகும்படி இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினால் வருகிற நீதியின் கனிகளால் நிறைந்தவர்களாகி,

That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;

நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவின் நாளுக்கென்று துப்புரவானவர்களும் இடறலற்றவர்களுமாயிருக்கவும் வேண்டுதல் செய்கிறேன்.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

சகோதரரே, எனக்குச் சம்பவித்தவைகள் சுவிசேஷம் பிரபலமாகும்படிக்கு ஏதுவாயிற்றென்று நீங்கள் அறிய மனதாயிருக்கிறேன்.

But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;

அரமனையெங்குமுள்ளவர்களுக்கும் மற்ற யாவருக்கும் என் கட்டுகள் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளான கட்டுகளென்று வெளியரங்கமாகி,

So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

சகோதரரில் அநேகர் என் கட்டுகளாலே கர்த்தருக்குள் திடன்கொண்டு பயமில்லாமல் திருவசனத்தைச் சொல்லும்படி அதிகமாய்த் துணிந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

சிலர் பொறாமையினாலும் விரோதத்தினாலும், சிலர் நல்மனதினாலும் கிறிஸ்துவைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறார்கள்.

Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:

சிலர் என் கட்டுகளோடே உபத்திரவத்தையுங்கூட்ட நினைத்து, சுத்தமனதோடே கிறிஸ்துவை அறிவியாமல், விரோதத்தினாலே அறிவிக்கிறார்கள்.

The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:

சுவிசேஷத்திற்காக நான் உத்தரவு சொல்ல ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டவனென்று அறிந்து, சிலர் அன்பினாலே அறிவிக்கிறார்கள்.

But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.

இதனாலென்ன? வஞ்சகத்தினாலாவது, உண்மையினாலாவது, எப்படியாவது, கிறிஸ்து அறிவிக்கப்படுகிறார்; அதனால் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறேன், இன்னமும் சந்தோஷப்படுவேன்.

What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

அது உங்கள் வேண்டுதலினாலும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய ஆவியின் உதவியினாலும் எனக்கு இரட்சிப்பாக முடியுமென்று அறிவேன்.

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

நான் ஒன்றிலும் வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போகாமல், எப்பொழுதும்போல இப்பொழுதும், மிகுந்த தைரியத்தோடே ஜீவனாலாகிலும், சாவினாலாகிலும், கிறிஸ்து என் சரீரத்தினாலே மகிமைப்படுவாரென்று எனக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற வாஞ்சைக்கும் நம்பிக்கைக்கும் தக்கதாய், அப்படி முடியும்.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

கிறிஸ்து எனக்கு ஜீவன், சாவு எனக்கு ஆதாயம்.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

ஆகிலும் சரீரத்தில் பிழைத்திருக்கிறதினாலே என் கிரியைக்குப் பலனுண்டாயிருப்பதால், நான் தெரிந்துகொள்ளவேண்டியது இன்னதென்று அறியேன்.

But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.

ஏனெனில் இவ்விரண்டினாலும் நான் நெருக்கப்படுகிறேன்; தேகத்தைவிட்டுப்பிரிந்து, கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட இருக்க எனக்கு ஆசையுண்டு, அது அதிக நன்மையாயிருக்கும்;

For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

அப்படியிருந்தும், நான் சரீரத்தில் தரித்திருப்பது உங்களுக்கு அதிக அவசியம்.

Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

இந்த நிச்சயத்தைக்கொண்டிருந்து, நான் மறுபடியும் உங்களிடத்தில் வருகிறதினால் என்னைக்குறித்து உங்களுடைய மகிழ்ச்சி கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் பெருகும்படிக்கு,

And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;

உங்கள் விசுவாசத்தின் வர்த்தனைக்காகவும் சந்தோஷத்துக்காகவும் நான் பிழைத்து, உங்கள் அனைவரோடுங்கூட இருப்பேனென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்.

That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.

நான் வந்து உங்களைக் கண்டாலும், நான் வராமலிருந்தாலும், நீங்கள் ஒரே ஆவியிலே உறுதியாய் நின்று, ஒரே ஆத்துமாவினாலே சுவிசேஷத்தின் விசுவாசத்திற்காகக் கூடப்போராடி, எதிர்க்கிறவர்களால் ஒன்றிலும் மருளாதிருக்கிறீர்களென்று உங்களைக்குறித்து நான் கேள்விப்படும்படி, எவ்விதத்திலும் நீங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவின் சுவிசேஷத்திற்குப் பாத்திரராகமாத்திரம் நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

நீங்கள் மருளாதிருக்கிறது அவர்கள் கெட்டுப்போகிறதற்கும், நீங்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறதற்கும் அத்தாட்சியாயிருக்கிறது; இதுவும் தேவனுடைய செயலே.

And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.

ஏனெனில் கிறிஸ்துவினிடத்தில் விசுவாசிக்கிறதற்குமாத்திரமல்ல, அவர்நிமித்தமாகப் பாடுபடுகிறதற்கும் உங்களுக்கு அருளப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;

நீங்கள் என்னிடத்திலே கண்டதும் எனக்கு உண்டென்று இப்பொழுது கேள்விப்படுகிறதுமான போராட்டமே உங்களுக்கும் உண்டு.

Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

ஆதலால் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் யாதொரு ஆறுதலும், அன்பினாலே யாதொரு தேறுதலும், ஆவியின் யாதொரு ஐக்கியமும், யாதொரு உருக்கமான பட்சமும் இரக்கங்களும் உண்டானால்,

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,

ஒன்றையும் வாதினாலாவது வீண்பெருமையினாலாவது செய்யாமல், மனத்தாழ்மையினாலே ஒருவரையொருவர் தங்களிலும் மேன்மையானவர்களாக எண்ணக்கடவீர்கள்.

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

அவனவன் தனக்கானவைகளையல்ல, பிறருக்கானவைகளையும் நோக்குவானாக.

Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.

கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவிலிருந்த சிந்தையே உங்களிலும் இருக்கக்கடவது;

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

அவர் தேவனுடைய ரூபமாயிருந்தும், தேவனுக்குச் சமமாயிருப்பதைக் கொள்ளையாடின பொருளாக எண்ணாமல்,

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

தம்மைத்தாமே வெறுமையாக்கி, அடிமையின் ரூபமெடுத்து, மனுஷர் சாயலானார்.

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

அவர் மனுஷரூபமாய்க் காணப்பட்டு, மரணபரியந்தம், அதாவது சிலுவையின் மரணபரியந்தமும் கீழ்ப்படிந்தவராகி, தம்மைத்தாமே தாழ்த்தினார்.

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

ஆதலால் தேவன் எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக அவரை உயர்த்தி,

Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

இயேசுவின் நாமத்தில் வானோர் பூதலத்தோர் பூமியின் கீழானோருடைய முழங்கால் யாவும் முடங்கும்படிக்கும்,

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு மகிமையாக இயேசுகிறிஸ்து கர்த்தரென்று நாவுகள் யாவும் அறிக்கைபண்ணும்படிக்கும், எல்லா நாமத்திற்கும் மேலான நாமத்தை அவருக்குத் தந்தருளினார்.

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

ஆதலால், எனக்குப் பிரியமானவர்களே, நீங்கள் எப்பொழுதும் கீழ்ப்படிகிறபடியே, நான் உங்களுக்குச் சமீபமாயிருக்கும்பொழுது மாத்திரமல்ல, நான் தூரமாயிருக்கிற இப்பொழுதும், அதிக பயத்தோடும் நடுக்கத்தோடும் உங்கள் இரட்சிப்பு நிறைவேறப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள்.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

ஏனெனில் தேவனே தம்முடைய தயவுள்ள சித்தத்தின்படி விருப்பத்தையும் செய்கையையும் உங்களில் உண்டாக்குகிறவராயிருக்கிறார்.

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

நான் வீணாக ஓடினதும் வீணாகப் பிரயாசப்பட்டதுமில்லையென்கிற மகிழ்ச்சி கிறிஸ்துவின் நாளில் எனக்கு உண்டாயிருப்பதற்கு, ஜீவவசனத்தைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, உலகத்திலே சுடர்களைப்போலப் பிரகாசிக்கிற நீங்கள்,

Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

கோணலும் மாறுபாடுமான சந்ததியின் நடுவிலே குற்றமற்றவர்களும் கபடற்றவர்களும், தேவனுடைய மாசற்ற பிள்ளைகளுமாயிருக்கும்படிக்கு,

That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;

எல்லாவற்றையும் முறுமுறுப்பில்லாமலும் தர்க்கிப்பில்லாமலும் செய்யுங்கள்.

Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

மேலும், உங்கள் விசுவாசமாகிய பலியின்மேலும் ஊழியத்தின்மேலும் நான் வார்க்கப்பட்டுப்போனாலும், நான் மகிழ்ந்து, உங்களனைவரோடுங்கூடச் சந்தோஷப்படுவேன்.

Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.

For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me.

அன்றியும், நானும் உங்கள் செய்திகளை அறிந்து மனத்தேறுதல் அடையும்படிக்குச் சீக்கிரமாய்த் தீமோத்தேயுவை உங்களிடத்தில் அனுப்பலாமென்று கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவுக்குள் நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state.

அதேனென்றால், உங்கள் காரியங்களை உண்மையாய் விசாரிக்கிறதற்கு என்னைப்போல மனதுள்ளவன் அவனையன்றி வேறொருவனும் என்னிடத்திலில்லை.

For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.

மற்றவர்களெல்லாரும் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குரியவைகளைத் தேடாமல், தங்களுக்குரியவைகளையே தேடுகிறார்கள்.

For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

தகப்பனுக்குப் பிள்ளை ஊழியஞ்செய்வதுபோல, அவன் என்னுடனேகூட சுவிசேஷத்தினிமித்தம் ஊழியஞ்செய்தானென்று அவனுடைய உத்தமகுணத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்கள்.

But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel.

ஆகையால் என் காரியங்கள் இன்னபடி நடக்கும் என்று நான் அறிந்தவுடனே அவனை அனுப்பலாமென்று நினைத்திருக்கிறேன்.

Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me.

அன்றியும் நானே சீக்கிரத்தில் வருவேனென்று கர்த்தருக்குள் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிறேன்.

But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly.

மேலும், என் சகோதரனும், உடன் வேளையாளும், உடன்சேவகனும், உங்கள் ஸ்தானாபதியும், என் குறைச்சலுக்கு உதவிசெய்தவனுமான எப்பாப்பிரோதீத்துவை உங்களிடத்தில் அனுப்பவேண்டுமென்று எண்ணினேன்.

Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants.

For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் அவனை மறுபடியும் கண்டு சந்தோஷப்படவும், என் துக்கங்குறையவும், அவனை அதிசீக்கிரமாய் அனுப்பினேன்.

I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful.

ஆனபடியினாலே நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்குள் மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்தோடே அவனை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, இப்படிப்பட்டவர்களைக் கனமாய் எண்ணுங்கள்.

Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation:

ஏனெனில் நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செய்யவேண்டிய ஊழியத்திலே உங்கள் குறைவை நிறைவாக்கும்படிக்கு, அவன் தன் பிராணனையும் எண்ணாமல், கிறிஸ்துவின் ஊழியத்தினிமித்தம் மரணத்திற்குச் சமீபமாயிருந்தான்.

Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me.
