எசேக்கியேல் அத்தியாயம் 19

நீ இஸ்ரவேல் பிரபுக்களின்பேரில் ஒரு புலம்பல் பாடி,

Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,

சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: உன் தாய் எப்படிப்பட்டவள்? அவள் ஒரு பெண்சிங்கம், அவள் சிங்கங்களுக்குள்ளே படுத்திருந்து, பாலசிங்கங்களின் நடுவிலே தன் குட்டிகளை வளர்த்தாள்.

And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she nourished her whelps among young lions.

தன் குட்டிகளில் ஒன்று வளர்ந்து, பாலசிங்கமாகி, இரைதேடப் பழகி, மனுஷரைப் பட்சித்தது.

And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.

புறஜாதிகளும் அதின் செய்தியைக் கேட்டார்கள், அது அவர்களுடைய படுகுழியில் அகப்பட்டது; அதைச் சங்கிலிகளினால் கட்டி, எகிப்துதேசத்திற்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்.

The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.

தாய்ச்சிங்கம் காத்திருந்து, தன் நம்பிக்கை அபத்தமாய்ப் போயிற்றென்று கண்டு, அது தன் குட்டிகளில் வேறொன்றை எடுத்து, அதை பாலசிங்கமாக வைத்தது.

Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion.

அது சிங்கங்களுக்குள்ளே சஞ்சரித்து, பாலசிங்கமாகி, இரைதேடப் பழகி, மனுஷரைப் பட்சித்தது.

And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and learned to catch the prey, and devoured men.

அவர்களுடைய பாழான அரமனைகளில் திரிந்து, அவர்களுடைய பட்டணங்களைப் பாழாக்கிற்று; அதினுடைய கெர்ச்சிப்பின் சத்தத்துக்கு தேசமும் அதிலுள்ள யாவும் திகைத்தது.

And he knew their desolate palaces, and he laid waste their cities; and the land was desolate, and the fulness thereof, by the noise of his roaring.

அப்பொழுது சுற்றுப்புறத்து ஜாதிகள் அதற்கு விரோதமாக எழும்பிவந்து, தங்கள் வலையை அதின்மேல் வீசினார்கள்; அது அவர்களுடைய படுகுழியிலே அகப்பட்டது.

Then the nations set against him on every side from the provinces, and spread their net over him: he was taken in their pit.

அவர்கள் அதைச் சங்கிலிகளினால் கட்டி, ஒரு கூட்டுக்குட்படுத்தி, அதைப் பாபிலோன் ராஜாவினிடத்துக்குக் கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; இனி அதின் சத்தம் இஸ்ரவேலின் பர்வதங்களின்மேல் கேட்கப்படாதபடிக்கு அதை அரணான இடங்களில் கொண்டுபோய் அடைத்தார்கள்.

And they put him in ward in chains, and brought him to the king of Babylon: they brought him into holds, that his voice should no more be heard upon the mountains of Israel.

நீ அமரிக்கையோடு இருக்கையில் உன் தாய் தண்ணீர் ஓரமாய் நாட்டப்பட்டதும், மிகுதியான நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சலால் கனிதருகிறதும் தழைத்திருக்கிறதுமான திராட்சச்செடியாயிருந்தாள்.

Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters.

ஆளுகிறவர்களின் செங்கோலுக்கேற்ற பலத்தகொப்புகள் அதற்கு இருந்தது; அதின் வளர்த்தி அடர்த்தியான கிளைகளுக்குள்ளே உயர ஓங்கி, தன் உயர்த்தியினாலே தன் திரளான கொடிகளோடுங்கூடத் தோன்றிற்று.

And she had strong rods for the sceptres of them that bare rule, and her stature was exalted among the thick branches, and she appeared in her height with the multitude of her branches.

ஆனாலும் அது உக்கிரமாய்ப் பிடுங்கப்பட்டு, தரையிலே தள்ளுண்டது; கீழ்காற்றினால் அதின் கனி காய்ந்துபோயிற்று; அதின் பலத்த கொப்புகள் முறிந்து, பட்டுப்போயின; அக்கினி அவைகளைப் பட்சித்தது.

But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.

இப்பொழுது அது வறண்டதும் தண்ணீர் இல்லாததுமான வனாந்தர பூமியிலே நடப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground.

அதின் கொடிகளிலுள்ள ஒரு கொப்பிலிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டு, அதின் கனியைப் பட்சித்தது; ஆளுகிற செங்கோலுக்கேற்ற பலத்த கொப்பு இனி அதில் இல்லையென்று சொல்; இதுவே புலம்பல், இதுவே புலம்பலாயிருக்கும் என்றார்.

And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.

எசேக்கியேல் அத்தியாயம் 20

ஏழாம் வருஷத்து ஐந்தாம் மாதம் பத்தாந்தேதியிலே இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பரில் சிலர் கர்த்தரிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கும்படி வந்து, எனக்கு முன்பாக உட்கார்ந்தார்கள்.

And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ இஸ்ரவேல் மூப்பரோடே பேசி, அவர்களை நோக்கி: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கவந்தீர்களோ? நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் விசாரிக்க இடங்கொடேன் என்று என் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார் என்று சொல்.

Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ அவர்களுக்காக வழக்காடுவாயோ? வழக்காட மனதானால், நீ அவர்கள் பிதாக்களின் அருவருப்புகளை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியக்காட்டி, அவர்களை நோக்கி:

Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge them? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:

கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், நான் இஸ்ரவேலைத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட நாளிலே யாக்கோபு வம்சத்து ஜனங்களுக்கு நான் ஆணையிட்டு, எகிப்துதேசத்தில் என்னை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தி, நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்று ஆணையிட்டேன்.

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I am the LORD your God;

நான் அவர்களை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து அழைப்பேன் என்றும், அவர்களுக்காக நான் பார்த்துவைத்ததும், பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிறதும் எல்லா தேசங்களின் சிங்காரமுமான தேசத்திலே அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்துவிடுவேன் என்றும் அந்நாளிலே ஆணையிட்டு,

In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands:

உங்களில் அவரவர் தங்கள் கண்களால் நோக்கின அருவருப்புகளைத் தள்ளிவிட்டு, எகிப்தின் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களால் உங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தாதிருப்பீர்களாக; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நான் என்று அவர்களோடே சொன்னேன்.

Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.

அவர்களோ, என் சொல்லைக் கேட்கமனதில்லாமல் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் இரண்டகம்பண்ணினார்கள்; அவரவர் தங்கள் கண்களால் நோக்கின அருவருப்புகளைத் தள்ளிப்போடாமலும், எகிப்தின் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களை விடாமலும் இருந்தார்கள்; ஆதலால் எகிப்துதேசத்தின் நடுவிலே என் கோபத்தை அவர்களிலே தீர்த்துக்கொள்ளும்படிக்கு என் உக்கிரத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றுவேன் என்றேன்.

But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

ஆகிலும் நான் என்னை இவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தி, இவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக என் நாமம் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாகாதபடிக்கு, இவர்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணி, என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் கிருபைசெய்தேன்.

But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they were, in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.

ஆகையால் நான் அவர்களை எகிப்துதேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணி, அவர்களை வனாந்தரத்தில் அழைத்துவந்து,

Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.

என் கட்டளைகளை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து, என் நியாயங்களை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தினேன்; அவைகளின்படி செய்கிற மனுஷன் அவைகளால் பிழைப்பான்.

And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them.

நான் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணுகிற கர்த்தர் என்று அவர்கள் அறியும்படிக்கு, எனக்கும் அவர்களுக்கும் அடையாளமாய் இருப்பதற்கான என் ஓய்வுநாட்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டேன்.

Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I am the LORD that sanctify them.

ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தார் வனாந்தரத்தில் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் இரண்டகம்பண்ணினார்கள்; என் கட்டளைகளின்படியே மனுஷன் செய்தால் அவைகளால் பிழைப்பான்; அவர்களோ அவைகளில் நடவாமல், என் நியாயங்களை வெறுத்து, என் ஓய்வுநாட்களின் பரிசுத்தத்தை மிகவும் குலைத்துப்போட்டார்கள்; ஆதலால் அவர்களை நிர்மூலமாக்கும்படி வனாந்தரத்திலே என் உக்கிரத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றுவேன் என்றேன்.

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

ஆகிலும் நான் இவர்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணினதைக் கண்ட புறஜாதிகளுடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக என் நாமம் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாகாதபடிக்கு, என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் கிருபைசெய்தேன்.

But I wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.

ஆனாலும் அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் அவர்களுடைய நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களைப் பின்பற்றி அவர்கள் என் நியாயங்களை வெறுத்து, என் கட்டளைகளில் நடவாமற்போய், என் ஓய்வுநாட்களைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கினபடியால்,

Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;

நான் வாக்குத்தத்தம்பண்ணினதும், பாலும் தேனும் ஓடுகிறதும், எல்லா தேசங்களின் சிங்காரமாயிருக்கிறதுமான தேசத்திலே அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து விடுவதில்லை என்று வனாந்தரத்தில் ஆணையிட்டேன்.

Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.

ஆகிலும் அவர்களை அழிக்காதபடிக்கு, என் கண் அவர்களைத் தப்பவிட்டது; நான் அவர்களை வனாந்தரத்தில் நிர்மூலமாக்கவில்லை.

Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.

வனாந்தரத்தில் அவர்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிதாக்களின் முறைமைகளில் நடவாமலும் அவர்களுடைய நியாயங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளாமலும், அவர்களுடைய நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களால் உங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தாமலும் இருங்கள்.

But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே; நீங்கள் என் கட்டளைகளில் நடந்து, என் நியாயங்களைக் கைக்கொண்டு, அவைகளின்படியே செய்து,

I am the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;

என் ஓய்வுநாட்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்று நீங்கள் அறியும்படிக்கு அவைகள் எனக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் அடையாளமாயிருக்கும் என்றேன்.

And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the LORD your God.

ஆனாலும் பிள்ளைகளும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பினார்கள்; என் கட்டளைகளின்படியே மனுஷன் செய்தால் அவைகளால் பிழைப்பானே; அவர்களோ அவைகளில் நடவாமலும், என் நியாயங்களைக் கைக்கொண்டு அவைகளின்படி செய்யாமலும், என் ஓய்வுநாட்களைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கிப்போட்டார்கள்; ஆகையால் வனாந்தரத்திலே என் கோபத்தை அவர்களில் தீர்த்துக்கொள்ளும்படி என் உக்கிரத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றுவேன் என்றேன்.

Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.

ஆகிலும் நான் என் கையைத்திருப்பி, நான் இவர்களை புறப்படப்பண்ணினதைக் கண்ட புறஜாதிகளுடைய கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக என் நாமம் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாகாதபடிக்கு, என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் கிருபைசெய்தேன்.

Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.

ஆனாலும் அவர்கள் என் நியாயங்களின்படி செய்யாமல், என் கட்டளைகளை வெறுத்து, என் ஓய்வு நாட்களை பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்கினபடியாலும், அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் அவர்கள் பிதாக்களின் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களின்மேல் நோக்கமாயிருந்தபடியாலும்,

I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;

நான் அவர்களைப் புறஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே சிதறடித்து, அவர்களை தேசங்களிலே தூற்றிப்போடுகிறதற்கு வனாந்தரத்திலே ஆணையிட்டேன்.

Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

ஆகையால் நன்மைக்கேதுவல்லாத கட்டளைகளையும் ஜீவனுக்கேதுவல்லாத நியாயங்களையும் நான் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன்.

Wherefore I gave them also statutes that were not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;

நான் கர்த்தர் என்று அவர்கள் அறியத்தக்கதாக. நான் அவர்களைப் பாழாக்கும்படி, அவர்கள் கர்ப்பந்திறந்து பிறக்கிறதையெல்லாம் தீக்கடக்கப்பண்ணி, இவ்விதமாய் அவர்களுடைய பலிகளினாலே அவர்களைத் தீட்டுப்படப்பண்ணினேன்.

And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through the fire all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I am the LORD.

ஆகையால் மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரோடே பேசி, அவர்களை நோக்கி: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் இன்னும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்த் துரோகம்பண்ணி, என்னைத் தூஷித்தார்கள்.

Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று ஆணையிட்ட தேசத்திலே நான் அவர்களைப் பிரவேசிக்கப்பண்ணினபின்பு, அவர்கள் உயர்ந்த ஒரு மேட்டையும் தழைத்த ஒரு விருட்சத்தையும் எங்கெங்கே கண்டார்களோ, அங்கங்கே தங்கள் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தி, அவ்விடங்களிலெல்லாம் எனக்கு எரிச்சல் உண்டாக்குகிற தங்கள் காணிக்கைகளைப் படைத்து, சுகந்த வாசனையான தங்கள் தூபங்களைக் காட்டி, தங்கள் பானபலிகளை வார்த்தார்கள்.

For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.

அப்பொழுது நான் அவர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் போகிற அந்த மேடு என்னவென்று கேட்டேன்; அதினால் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் அதற்குப் பாமா என்று பேர்.

Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.

ஆகையால் நீ இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரை நோக்கி: கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், உங்கள் பிதாக்களுடைய மார்க்கத்தின்படியே நீங்களும் தீட்டுப்பட்டவர்கள் அல்லவோ? அவர்களுடைய அருவருப்புகளை நீங்களும் பின்பற்றிச் சோரம்போகிறீர்கள் அல்லவோ?

Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?

நீங்கள் உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளைத் தீக்கடக்கப்பண்ணி, உங்கள் பலிகளைச் செலுத்துகிறபோது, இந்நாள் வரைக்கும் அவர்களுடைய எல்லா நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களாலும் நீங்கள் தீட்டுப்படுவீர்களே; நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் விசாரிக்க இடங்கொடுப்பேனோ? இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரே, நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் விசாரிக்கும்படி இடங்கொடுப்பதில்லை என்று என் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார்.

For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

மரத்துக்கும் கல்லுக்கும் ஆராதனை செய்து, அஞ்ஞானிகளைப்போலவும் தேசத்து ஜனங்களின் ஜாதிகளைப்போலவும் இருப்போம் என்று சொல்லுகிறீர்களே; உங்கள் மனதில் எழும்புகிற இந்த நினைவின்படி ஆவதே இல்லை.

And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

பலத்த கையினாலும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும், ஊற்றப்பட்ட உக்கிரத்தினாலும், உங்களை ஆளுவேன் என்பதை என் ஜீவனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லுகிறேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் உரைக்கிறார்.

As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:

நீங்கள் ஜனங்களுக்குள் இராதபடிக்கு நான் உங்களைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணி, நீங்கள் சிதறியிருக்கிற தேசங்களில் இராதபடிக்கு நான் உங்களைப் பலத்தகையினாலும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும், ஊற்றப்பட்ட உக்கிரத்தினாலும் கூடிவரச்செய்து,

And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.

உங்களை ஜனசதளங்களின் வனாந்தரத்திலே கொண்டுபோய், அங்கே உங்களோடே முகமுகமாய் வழக்காடுவேன்.

And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

நான் எகிப்துதேசத்தின் வனாந்தரத்தில் உங்கள் பிதாக்களோடு வழக்காடினதுபோல உங்களோடும் வழக்காடுவேன் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.

நான் உங்களைக் கோலின்கீழ் செல்லும்படி செய்து, உங்களை உடன்படிக்கையின் கட்டுக்குட்படுத்தி,

And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:

And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

இப்போதும் இஸ்ரவேல் வம்சத்தாரே, நீங்கள் என் சொல்லைக்கேட்க மனதில்லாதிருந்தால், நீங்கள் போய், அவனவன் தன் தன் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களை இன்னும் சேவியுங்கள்; ஆனாலும் என் பரிசுத்த நாமத்தை உங்கள் காணிக்கைகளாலும் உங்கள் நரகலான விக்கிரகங்களாலும் இனிப்பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காதிருங்கள் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter also, if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.

இஸ்ரவேலின் உயரமான மலையாகிய என் பரிசுத்த மலையிலே இஸ்ரவேலுடைய எல்லா வம்சத்தாருமாகிய தேசத்திலுள்ள அனைவரும் என்னைச் சேவிப்பார்கள் என்று கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அங்கே அவர்கள்மேல் பிரியம் வைப்பேன்; அங்கே நீங்கள் பரிசுத்தம்பண்ணுகிற எல்லாவற்றிலும் உங்கள் காணிக்கைகளையும் உங்கள் முதற்பலன்களையும் செலுத்தும்படி கேட்பேன்.

For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.

நான் உங்களை ஜனங்களிலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணி, நீங்கள் சிதறுண்டிருக்கிற தேசங்களிலிருந்து உங்களைச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ளும்போது, சுகந்த வாசனையினிமித்தம் நான் உங்கள்பேரில் பிரியமாயிருப்பேன்; அப்பொழுது புறஜாதிகளின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக உங்களால் பரிசுத்தம் பண்ணப்படுவேன்.

I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.

உங்கள் பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று ஆணையிட்ட தேசமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் தேசத்திலே நான் உங்களைத் திரும்பிவரப்பண்ணும்போது, நான் கர்த்தர் என்று நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொண்டு,

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country for the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.

அங்கே உங்களுடைய எல்லா வழிகளையும் உங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தின உங்களுடைய எல்லாக் கிரியைகளையும் நினைத்து, நீங்கள் செய்திருந்த உங்களுடைய எல்லாப் பொல்லாப்புகளினிமித்தமும் உங்களை நீங்களே அருவருப்பீர்கள்.

And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.

And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name's sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

மனுபுத்திரனே, நீ உன் முகத்தைத் தென்திசைக்கு நேரே திருப்பி, தெற்குக்கு விரோதமாக உன் வசனத்தைப் பொழிந்து, தென்புறமான வயல்வெளியின் காட்டுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் உரைத்து,

Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop thy word toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;

தென்திசைக்காட்டை நோக்கி: கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேள், கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால், இதோ, நான் உன்னில் அக்கினியைக் கொளுத்துவேன்; அது உன்னில் பச்சையான சகல மரங்களையும் பட்டுப்போன சகல மரங்களையும் பட்சிக்கும்; ஜூவாலிக்கிற ஜூவாலை அவிக்கப்படமாட்டாது; தெற்கு துவக்கி வடக்குமட்டுமுள்ள தேசமெங்கும் அதினால் வெந்துபோகும்.

And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

கர்த்தராகிய நான் அதைக்கொளுத்தினேன் என்பதை எல்லா மாம்சமும் காணும்; அது அவிக்கப்படுவதில்லை என்று சொல் என்றார்.

And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.

அப்பொழுது நான்: ஆ, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, இவன் உவமைகளையல்லவோ சொல்லுகிறான் என்று அவர்கள் என்னைக்குறித்துச் சொல்லுகிறார்கள் என்றேன்.

Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?

எபேசியர் அத்தியாயம் 3

இதினிமித்தம், பவுலாகிய நான் புறஜாதியாராயிருக்கிற உங்கள் பொருட்டுக் கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவினிமித்தம் கட்டுண்டவனாயிருக்கிறேன்.

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,

உங்களுக்காக எனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற தெய்வகிருபைக்குரிய நியமமும் இன்னதென்று கேட்டிருப்பீர்களே;

If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

அதென்னவெனில் புறஜாதிகள் சுவிசேஷத்தினாலே உடன்சுதந்தரருமாய், ஒரே சரீரத்திற்குள்ளானவர்களுமாய், கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் அவர் பண்ணின வாக்குத்தத்தத்துக்கு உடன்பங்காளிகளுமாயிருக்கிறார்களென்கிற இந்த இரகசியத்தை அவர் எனக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தி அறிவித்தார்.

How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

இதைக்குறித்து நான் முன்னமே சுருக்கமாய் எழுதியிருக்கிறேன்.

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

அதை நீங்கள் வாசிக்கையில் கிறிஸ்துவின் இரகசியத்தைக்குறித்து எனக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிற அறிவை அறிந்துகொள்ளலாம்;

Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

இந்த இரகசியம் இப்பொழுது அவருடைய பரிசுத்த அப்போஸ்தலருக்கும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுக்கும் ஆவியானவராலே வெளிப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறதுபோல, முற்காலங்களில் மனுபுத்திரருக்கு அறிவிக்கப்படவில்லை.

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

தேவனுடைய பலத்த சத்துவத்தால் எனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட வரமாகிய அவருடைய கிருபையினாலே இந்தச் சுவிசேஷத்துக்கு ஊழியக்காரனானேன்.

Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

பரிசுத்தவான்களெல்லாரிலும் சிறியவனாகிய நான் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய அளவற்ற ஐசுவரியத்தைப் புறஜாதிகளிடத்தில் சுவிசேஷமாய் அறிவிக்கிறதற்காக இந்தக் கிருபை எனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

தேவன் நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவுக்குள் கொண்டிருந்த அநாதி தீர்மானத்தின்படியே,

And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

உன்னதங்களிலுள்ள துரைத்தனங்களுக்கும் அதிகாரங்களுக்கும் அவருடைய அநந்த ஞானமானது சபையின் மூலமாய் இப்பொழுது தெரியவரும் பொருட்டாக,

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவைக்கொண்டு எல்லாவற்றையும் சிருஷ்டித்த தேவனுக்குள்ளே ஆதிகாலங்கள் முதல் மறைந்திருந்த இரகசியத்தினுடைய ஐக்கியம் இன்னதென்று, எல்லாருக்கும் வெளிப்படையாகக் காண்பிக்கிறதற்கு, இந்தக் கிருபை எனக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

அவரைப் பற்றும் விசுவாசத்தால் அவருக்குள் நமக்குத் தைரியமும் திடநம்பிக்கையோடே தேவனிடத்தில் சேரும் சிலாக்கியமும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

ஆகையால் உங்கள்நிமித்தம் நான் அநுபவிக்கிற உபத்திரவங்களினால் நீங்கள் சோர்ந்துபோகாதிருக்க வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்; அவைகள் உங்களுக்கு மகிமையாயிருக்கிறதே.

Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

இதினிமித்தம் நான் பரலோகத்திலும் பூலோகத்திலுமுள்ள முழுக்குடும்பத்துக்கும் நாமகாரணராகிய,

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

நம்முடைய கர்த்தாயிருக்கிற இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய பிதாவை நோக்கி முழங்கால்படியிட்டு,

Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

நீங்கள் அவருடைய ஆவியினாலே உள்ளான மனுஷனில் வல்லமையாய்ப் பலப்படவும்,

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

விசுவாசத்தினாலே கிறிஸ்து உங்கள் இருதயங்களில் வாசமாயிருக்கவும், நீங்கள் அன்பிலே வேரூன்றி, நிலைபெற்றவர்களாகி,

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

சகல பரிசுத்தவான்களோடுங்கூடக் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய அன்பின் அகலமும், நீளமும், ஆழமும், உயரமும் இன்னதென்று உணர்ந்து;

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

அறிவுக்கெட்டாத அந்த அன்பை அறிந்துகொள்ள வல்லவர்களாகவும், தேவனுடைய சகல பரிபூரணத்தாலும் நிறையப்படவும், அவர் தமது மகிமையினுடைய ஐசுவரியத்தின்படியே, உங்களுக்கு அநுக்கிரகம்பண்ணவேண்டுமென்று வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

நாம் வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறதற்கும் நினைக்கிறதற்கும் மிகவும் அதிகமாய் நமக்குள்ளே கிரியைசெய்கிற வல்லமையின்படியே, நமக்குச் செய்ய வல்லவராகிய அவருக்கு,

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

சபையிலே கிறிஸ்து இயேசுவின் மூலமாய்த் தலைமுறை தலைமுறைக்கும் சதாகாலங்களிலும் மகிமை உண்டாவதாக. ஆமென்.

Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

எபேசியர் அத்தியாயம் 4

ஆதலால், கர்த்தர்நிமித்தம் கட்டுண்டவனாகிய நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிற புத்தியென்னவெனில், நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்ட அழைப்புக்குப் பாத்திரவான்களாய் நடந்து,

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

மிகுந்த மனத்தாழ்மையும் சாந்தமும் நீடிய பொறுமையும் உடையவர்களாய், அன்பினால் ஒருவரையொருவர் தாங்கி,

With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

சமாதானக்கட்டினால் ஆவியின் ஒருமையைக் காத்துக்கொள்வதற்கு ஜாக்கிரதையாயிருங்கள்.

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

உங்களுக்கு உண்டான அழைப்பினாலே நீங்கள் ஒரே நம்பிக்கைக்கு அழைக்கப்பட்டதுபோல, ஒரே சரீரமும், ஒரே ஆவியும் உண்டு;

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

ஒரே கர்த்தரும், ஒரே விசுவாசமும், ஒரே ஞானஸ்நானமும்,

One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

எல்லாருக்கும் ஒரே தேவனும் பிதாவும் உண்டு; அவர் எல்லார்மேலும், எல்லாரோடும், உங்கள் எல்லாருக்குள்ளும் இருக்கிறவர்.

One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய ஈவின் அளவுக்குத்தக்கதாக நம்மில் அவனவனுக்குக் கிருபை அளிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

ஆதலால், அவர் உன்னதத்திற்கு ஏறி, சிறைப்பட்டவர்களைச் சிறையாக்கி, மனுஷர்களுக்கு வரங்களை அளித்தார் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.

Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

ஏறினார் என்பதினாலே அவர் அதற்கு முன்னே பூமியின் தாழ்விடங்களில் இறங்கினார் என்று விளங்குகிறதல்லவா?

Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?

இறங்கினவரே எல்லாவற்றையும் நிரப்பத்தக்கதாக, எல்லா வானங்களுக்கும் மேலாக உன்னதத்திற்கு ஏறினவருமாயிருக்கிறார்.

He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

மேலும் நாம் அனைவரும் தேவனுடைய குமாரனைப்பற்றும் விசுவாசத்திலும் அறிவிலும் ஒருமைப்பட்டவர்களாகி, கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய நிறைவானவளர்ச்சியின் அளவுக்குத்தக்க பூரணபுருஷராகும் வரைக்கும்,

And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

பரிசுத்தவான்கள் சீர்பொருந்தும்பொருட்டு, சுவிசேஷ ஊழியத்தின் வேலைக்காகவும், கிறிஸ்துவின் சரீரமாகிய சபையானது பக்திவிருத்தி அடைவதற்காகவும்,

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

அவர், சிலரை அப்போஸ்தலராகவும், சிலரைத் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாகவும், சிலரைச் சுவிசேஷகராகவும், சிலரை மேய்ப்பராகவும் போதகராகவும் ஏற்படுத்தினார்.

Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

நாம் இனிக் குழந்தைகளாயிராமல், மனுஷருடைய சூதும் வஞ்சிக்கிறதற்கேதுவான தந்திரமுமுள்ள போதகமாகிய பலவித காற்றினாலே அலைகளைப்போல அடிபட்டு அலைகிறவர்களாயிராமல்,

That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

அன்புடன் சத்தியத்தைக் கைக்கொண்டு, தலையாகிய கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் எல்லாவற்றிலேயும், நாம் வளருகிறவர்களாயிருக்கும்படியாக அப்படிச் செய்தார்.

But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

அவராலே சரீரம் முழுவதும், அதற்கு உதவியாயிருக்கிற சகல கணுக்களினாலும் இசைவாய்க் கூட்டி இணைக்கப்பட்டு, ஒவ்வொரு அவயவமும் தன்தன் அளவுக்குத்தக்கதாய்க் கிரியைசெய்கிறபடியே, அது அன்பினாலே தனக்கு பக்திவிருத்தி உண்டாக்குகிறதற்கேதுவாகச் சரீரவளர்ச்சியை உண்டாக்குகிறது.

From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

ஆதலால், கர்த்தருக்குள் நான் உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாகச் சொல்லி எச்சரிக்கிறது என்னவெனில், மற்றப் புறஜாதிகள் தங்கள் வீணான சிந்தையிலே நடக்கிறதுபோல நீங்கள் இனி நடவாமலிருங்கள்.

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,

அவர்கள் புத்தியில் அந்தகாரப்பட்டு, தங்கள் இருதயகடினத்தினால் தங்களில் இருக்கும் அறியாமையினாலே தேவனுடைய ஜீவனுக்கு அந்நியராயிருந்து;

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

உணர்வில்லாதவர்களாய், சகலவித அசுத்தங்களையும் ஆவலோடே நடப்பிக்கும்படி, தங்களைக் காமவிகாரத்திற்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

நீங்களோ இவ்விதமாய்க் கிறிஸ்துவைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளவில்லை.

But ye have not so learned Christ;

இயேசுவினிடத்திலுள்ள சத்தியத்தின்படியே, நீங்கள் அவரிடத்தில் கேட்டறிந்து, அவரால் போதிக்கப்பட்டீர்களே.

If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

அந்தப்படி, முந்தின நடக்கைக்குரிய மோசம்போக்கும் இச்சைகளாலே கெட்டுப்போகிற பழைய மனுஷனை நீங்கள் களைந்துபோட்டு,

That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

உங்கள் உள்ளத்திலே புதிதான ஆவியுள்ளவர்களாகி,

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

மெய்யான நீதியிலும் பரிசுத்தத்திலும் தேவனுடைய சாயலாக சிருஷ்டிக்கப்பட்ட புதிய மனுஷனைத் தரித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

அன்றியும், நாம் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் அவயவங்களாயிருக்கிறபடியால், பொய்யைக் களைந்து, அவனவன் பிறனுடனே மெய்யைப் பேசக்கடவன்.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

நீங்கள் கோபங்கொண்டாலும் பாவஞ்செய்யாதிருங்கள்; சூரியன் அஸ்தமிக்கிறதற்கு முன்னாக உங்கள் எரிச்சல் தணியக்கடவது;

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

பிசாசுக்கு இடங்கொடாமலும் இருங்கள்.

Neither give place to the devil.

திருடுகிறவன் இனித் திருடாமல், குறைச்சலுள்ளவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கத்தக்கதாகத் தனக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கும்படி, தன் கைகளினால் நலமான வேலைசெய்து, பிரயாசப்படக்கடவன்.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

அன்றியும், நீங்கள் மீட்கப்படும் நாளுக்கென்று முத்திரையாகப் பெற்ற தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஆவியைத் துக்கப்படுத்தாதிருங்கள்.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

சகலவிதமான கசப்பும், கோபமும், மூர்க்கமும், கூக்குரலும், தூஷணமும், மற்ற எந்தத் துர்க்குணமும் உங்களைவிட்டு நீங்கக்கடவது.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

ஒருவருக்கொருவர் தயவாயும் மனஉருக்கமாயும் இருந்து, கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் தேவன் உங்களுக்கு மன்னித்ததுபோல, நீங்களும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் மன்னியுங்கள்.

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
