ஏசாயா அத்தியாயம் 45

கர்த்தராகிய நான் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணின கோரேசுக்கு முன்பாக ஜாதிகளைக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தி, ராஜாக்களின் இடைக்கட்டுகளை அவிழ்க்கும்படிக்கும், அவனுக்கு முன்பாக வாசல்கள் பூட்டப்படாதிருக்க, கதவுகளைத் திறந்து வைக்கும்படிக்கும், அவனைப் பார்த்து, அவன் வலதுகையைப் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு, அவனுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறதாவது:

Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

நான் உனக்கு முன்னே போய், கோணலானவைகளைச் செவ்வையாக்குவேன்.

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

உன்னைப் பெயர்சொல்லி அழைக்கிற இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் நானே என்று நீ அறியும்படிக்கு,

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

வெண்கலக் கதவுகளை உடைத்து, இருப்புத் தாழ்ப்பாள்களை முறித்து, அந்தகாரத்தில் இருக்கிற பொக்கிஷங்களையும், ஒளிப்பிடத்தில் இருக்கிற புதையல்களையும் உனக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்; நான் என் தாசனாகிய யாக்கோபினிமித்தமும், நான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இஸ்ரவேலினிமித்தமும், நான் உன்னைப் பெயர்சொல்லி அழைத்து, நீ என்னை அறியாதிருந்தும், உனக்கு நாமம் தரித்தேன்.

For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

நானே கர்த்தர், வேறொருவர் இல்லை; என்னைத்தவிர தேவன் இல்லை.

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

என்னைத்தவிர ஒருவரும் இல்லையென்று சூரியன் உதிக்கிற திசையிலும், அது அஸ்தமிக்கிற திசையிலும் அறியப்படும்படிக்கு நீ என்னை அறியாதிருந்தும், நான் உனக்கு இடைக்கட்டு கட்டினேன்; நானே கர்த்தர், வேறொருவர் இல்லை.

That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

ஒளியைப் படைத்து, இருளையும் உண்டாக்கினேன், சமாதானத்தைப்படைத்து தீங்கையும் உண்டாக்குகிறவர் நானே; கர்த்தராகிய நானே இவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்கிறவர்.

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

வானங்களே, உயர இருந்து சொரியுங்கள்; ஆகாயமண்டலங்கள் நீதியைப் பொழியக்கடவது; பூமி திறவுண்டு, இரட்சிப்பின் கனியைத்தந்து, நீதியுங்கூட விளைவதாக; கர்த்தராகிய நான் இவைகளை உண்டாக்குகிறேன்.

Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

மண்ணோடுகளுக்கொத்த ஓடாயிருந்தும், தன்னை உருவாக்கினவரோடே வழக்காடுகிறவனுக்கு ஐயோ! களிமண் தன்னை உருவாக்கினவனை நோக்கி: என்ன செய்கிறாயென்று சொல்லத்தகுமோ? உன் கிரியையானது: அவருக்குக் கைகள் இல்லையென்று சொல்லலாமோ?

Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

தகப்பனை நோக்கி: ஏன் ஜநிப்பித்தாய் என்றும், தாயை நோக்கி: ஏன் பெற்றாய் என்றும் சொல்லுகிறவனுக்கு ஐயோ!

Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தரும் அவனை உருவாக்கினவருமாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறதாவது: வருங்காரியங்களை என்னிடத்தில் கேளுங்கள்; என் பிள்ளைகளைக்குறித்தும், என் கரங்களின் கிரியைகளைக்குறித்தும் எனக்குக் கட்டளையிடுங்கள்.

Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

நான் பூமியை உண்டுபண்ணி, நானே அதின்மேல் இருக்கிற மனுஷனைச் சிருஷ்டித்தேன்; என் கரங்கள் வானங்களை விரித்தன; அவைகளின் சர்வசேனையையும் நான் கட்டளையிட்டேன்.

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

நான் நீதியின்படி அவனை எழுப்பினேன்; அவன் வழிகளையெல்லாம் செவ்வைப்படுத்துவேன்; அவன் என் நகரத்தைக் கட்டி, சிறைப்பட்டுப்போன என்னுடையவர்களைக் கிரயமில்லாமலும் பரிதானமில்லாமலும் விடுதலையாக்குவான் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

எகிப்தின் சம்பாத்தியமும், எத்தியோப்பியாவின் வர்த்தகலாபமும், நெடிய ஆட்களாகிய சபேயரின் வர்த்தகலாபமும், உன்னிடத்திற்குத் தாண்டிவந்து, உன்னுடையதாகும்; அவர்கள் உன் பின்னே சென்று, விலங்கிடப்பட்டு நடந்துவந்து: உன்னுடனே மாத்திரம் தேவன் இருக்கிறார் என்றும், அவரையல்லாமல் வேறே தேவன் இல்லையென்றும் சொல்லி, உன்னைப் பணிந்துகொண்டு, உன்னை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம் பண்ணுவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனும் இரட்சகருமாகிய நீர் மெய்யாகவே உம்மை மறைத்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிற தேவனாயிருக்கிறீர்.

Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

விக்கிரகங்களை உண்டுபண்ணுகிற அனைவரும் வெட்கப்பட்டு இலச்சையடைந்து, ஏகமாய்க் கலங்கிப்போவார்கள்.

They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.

இஸ்ரவேலோ, கர்த்தராலே நித்திய இரட்சிப்பினால் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவான்; நீங்கள் என்றென்றைக்குமுள்ள சதாகாலங்களிலும் வெட்கப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இருப்பீர்கள்.

But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

வானங்களைச் சிருஷ்டித்து பூமியையும் வெறுமையாயிருக்கச் சிருஷ்டியாமல் அதைக் குடியிருப்புக்காகச் செய்து படைத்து, அதை உருவேற்படுத்தின தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறதாவது: நானே கர்த்தர், வெறொருவர் இல்லை.

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

நான் அந்தரங்கத்திலும், பூமியின் அந்தகாரமான இடத்திலும் பேசினதில்லை; விருதாவாக என்னைத் தேடுங்களென்று நான் யாக்கோபின் சந்ததிக்குச் சொன்னதுமில்லை; நான் நீதியைப் பேசி, யதார்த்தமானவைகளை அறிவிக்கிற கர்த்தர்.

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

ஜாதிகளினின்று தப்பினவர்களே, கூட்டங்கூடி வாருங்கள்; ஏகமாய்ச் சேருங்கள்; தங்கள் விக்கிரகமாகிய மரத்தைச் சுமந்து, இரட்சிக்கமாட்டாத தேவனைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுகிறவர்கள் அறிவில்லாதவர்கள்.

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

நீங்கள் தெரிவிக்கும்படி சேர்ந்து, ஏகமாய் யோசனைபண்ணுங்கள்; இதைப் பூர்வகாலமுதற்கொண்டு விளங்கப்பண்ணி, அந்நாள் துவக்கி இதை அறிவித்தவர் யார்? கர்த்தராகிய நான் அல்லவோ? நீதிபரரும் இரட்சகருமாகிய என்னையல்லாமல் வேறே தேவன் இல்லை; என்னைத்தவிர வேறொருவரும் இல்லை.

Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

பூமியின் எல்லையெங்குமுள்ளவர்களே, என்னை நோக்கிப்பாருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது இரட்சிக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; நானே தேவன், வேறொருவரும் இல்லை.

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

முழங்கால் யாவும் எனக்கு முன்பாக முடங்கும், நாவு யாவும் என்னை முன்னிட்டு ஆணையிடும் என்று நான் என்னைக்கொண்டே ஆணையிட்டிருக்கிறேன்; இந்த நீதியான வார்த்தை என் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டது; இது மாறுவது இல்லையென்கிறார்.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மாத்திரம் நீதியும் வல்லமையுமுண்டென்று அவனவன் சொல்லி அவரிடத்தில் வந்து சேருவான்; அவருக்கு விரோதமாய் எரிச்சல் கொண்டிருக்கிற யாவரும் வெட்கப்படுவார்கள்.

Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

இஸ்ரவேலின் சந்ததியாகிய யாவரும் கர்த்தருக்குள் நீதிமான்களாக்கப்பட்டு மேன்மைபாராட்டுவார்கள்.

In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

ஏசாயா அத்தியாயம் 46

பேல் பணியும், நேபோ குனியும், அவைகளின் விக்கிரகங்கள் காட்டு மிருகங்களுக்கும் நாட்டு மிருகங்களுக்கும் சுமையாகும்; நீங்கள் சுமந்த சுமைகள் இளைத்துப்போன மிருகங்களுக்குப் பாரமாயிருக்கும்.

Bel boweth down, Nebo stoopeth, their idols were upon the beasts, and upon the cattle: your carriages were heavy loaden; they are a burden to the weary beast.

அவைகள் ஏகமாய்க் குனிந்து பணியும்; சுமைகளை அவைகள் தப்புவிக்கமாட்டாது; அவைகள் தாமே சிறைப்பட்டுப்போகும்.

They stoop, they bow down together; they could not deliver the burden, but themselves are gone into captivity.

யாக்கோபின் சந்ததியாரே இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியில் மீதியாகிய சகல ஜனங்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்; தாயின் வயிற்றில் தோன்றினதுமுதல் உங்களை ஏந்தி, தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் உற்பத்தியானதுமுதல் உங்களைத் தாங்கினேன்.

Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb:

உங்கள் முதிர்வயதுவரைக்கும் நான் அப்படிச் செய்வேன்; நரைவயதுமட்டும் நான் உங்களைத் தாங்குவேன்; நான் அப்படிச் செய்து வந்தேன்; இனிமேலும் நான் ஏந்துவேன், நான் சுமப்பேன், தப்புவிப்பேன்.

And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

யாருக்கு என்னைச் சாயலும் சமமுமாக்கி, யாருக்கு நான் ஒப்பாகும்படிக்கு என்னை ஒப்பிடுவீர்கள்?

To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?

பையிலிருக்கிற பொன்னைக்கொட்டி, வெள்ளியைத் தராசில் நிறுத்து, தட்டானுடனே கூலி பொருத்திக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; அவன் ஒரு தெய்வத்தை உண்டாக்குகிறான்; அதை வணங்கிப் பணிந்துகொள்ளுகிறார்கள்.

They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he maketh it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship.

அதைத் தோளின்மேல் எடுத்து, அதைச் சுமந்து, அதை அதின் ஸ்தானத்திலே வைக்கிறார்கள்; அங்கே அது நிற்கும்; தன் இடத்தைவிட்டு அசையாது; ஒருவன் அதை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டால், அது மறுஉத்தரவு கொடுக்கிறதுமில்லை, அவன் இக்கட்டை நீக்கி அவனை இரட்சிக்கிறதுமில்லை.

They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he standeth; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble.

இதை நினைத்துப் புருஷராயிருங்கள்; பாதகரே, இதை மனதில் வையுங்கள்.

Remember this, and shew yourselves men: bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors.

முந்திப் பூர்வகாலத்தில் நடந்தவைகளை நினையுங்கள்; நானே தேவன், வேறொருவரும் இல்லை; நானே தேவன், எனக்குச் சமானமில்லை.

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,

அந்தத்திலுள்ளவைகளை ஆதி முதற்கொண்டும், இன்னும் செய்யப்படாதவைகளைப் பூர்வகாலமுதற்கொண்டும் அறிவிக்கிறேன்; என் ஆலோசனை நிலைநிற்கும், எனக்குச் சித்தமானவைகளையெல்லாம் செய்வேன் என்று சொல்லி,

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

உராய்ஞ்சுகிற ஒரு பட்சியைக் கிழக்கிலிருந்தும், என் ஆலோசனையை நிறைவேற்றும் மனுஷனை தூரதேசத்திலிருந்தும் வரவழைக்கிறவராயிருக்கிறேன்; அதைச் சொன்னேன், அதை நிறைவேற்றுவேன்; அதைத் திட்டம்பண்ணினேன், அதைச் செய்து முடிப்பேன்.

Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executeth my counsel from a far country: yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it.

முரட்டு இருதயமுள்ளவர்களே, நீதிக்குத் தூரமானவர்களே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.

Hearken unto me, ye stouthearted, that are far from righteousness:

என் நீதியைச் சமீபிக்கப்பண்ணுகிறேன், அது தூரமாயிருப்பதில்லை; என் இரட்சிப்புத் தாமதிப்பதுமில்லை; நான் சீயோனில் இரட்சிப்பையும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு என் மகிமையையும் கட்டளையிடுவேன்.

I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry: and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

ஏசாயா அத்தியாயம் 47

பாபிலோன் குமாரத்தியாகிய கன்னிகையே, நீ இறங்கி மண்ணிலே உட்காரு; கல்தேயரின் குமாரத்தியே, தரையிலே உட்காரு; உனக்குச் சிங்காசனமில்லை; நீ செருக்குக்காரியும் சுகசெல்வியும் என்று இனி அழைக்கப்படுவதில்லை.

Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.

ஏந்திரத்தை எடுத்து மாவரை; உன் முக்காட்டை நீக்கிவிடு; வெறுங்காலும் அம்மணத்தொடையுமாய் ஆறுகளைக் கடந்துபோ.

Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers.

உன் நிர்வாணம் வெளிப்படும்; உன் இலச்சை காணப்படும்; நான் ஒருவனையும் பாராமல் நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுவேன்.

Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man.

எங்கள் மீட்பருடைய நாமம் இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தராகிய சேனைகளுடைய கர்த்தர் என்பது.

As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

கல்தேயரின் குமாரத்தியே, நீ அந்தகாரத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து மவுனமாய் உட்காரு; இனி நீ ராஜ்யங்களின் நாயகியென்று அழைக்கப்படுவதில்லை.

Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.

நான் என் ஜனத்தின்மேல் கடுங்கோபமடைந்து, என் சுதந்தரத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்கி, அவர்களை உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்; நீ அவர்கள்மேல் இரக்கம்வையாமல், முதிர்வயதுள்ளவர்களின்மேல் உன் நுகத்தை மகா பாரமாக்கி,

I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.

என்றென்றைக்கும் நாயகியாயிருப்பேனென்று சொல்லி, இந்தக் காரியங்களை இதுவரைக்கும் உன் மனதிலே வையாமலும், அதின் முடிவை நினையாமலும்போனாய்.

And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.

இப்பொழுதும் சுகசெல்வியே, விசாரமில்லாமல் வாழ்கிறவளே: நான்தான், என்னைத்தவிர ஒருவருமில்லை; நான் விதவையாவதில்லை, நான் சந்தான சேதத்தை அறிவதில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்திலே சொல்லுகிறவளே, நான் சொல்லுகிறதைக் கேள்.

Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children:

சந்தான சேதமும் விதவையிருப்பும் ஆகிய இவ்விரண்டும் உனக்குச் சடிதியாக ஒரேநாளில் வரும்; உன் திரளான சூனியங்களினிமித்தமும், உன் வெகுவான ஸ்தம்பன வித்தைகளினிமித்தமும் அவைகள் பூரணமாய் உன்மேல் வரும்.

But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.

உன் துன்மார்க்கத்திலே நீ திடநம்பிக்கையாயிருந்து: என்னைப் பார்க்கிறவர் ஒருவரும் இல்லையென்றாய். உன் ஞானமும் உன் அறிவுமே உன்னைக் கெடுத்தது; நான்தான், என்னைத் தவிர ஒருவருமில்லையென்று உன் இருதயத்தில் எண்ணினாய்.

For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.

ஆகையால் தீங்கு உன்மேல் வரும், அது எங்கேயிருந்து உதித்ததென்று நீ அறியாய்; விக்கினம் உன்மேல் வரும், நீ அதை நிவிர்த்தியாக்கமாட்டாய்; நீ அறியாதபடிக்குச் சடிதியாய் உண்டாகும் பாழ்க்கடிப்பு உன்மேல் வரும்.

Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.

நீ உன் சிறுவயதுமுதல் பிரயாசப்பட்டுப் பழகிவருகிற உன் ஸ்தம்பன வித்தைகளையும், உன் திரளான சூனியங்களையும் நீ அநுசரித்து நில்; அவைகளால் உனக்குப் பிரயோஜனம் உண்டோ, பலன் உண்டோ, பார்ப்போம்.

Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.

உன் திரளான யோசனைகளினால் நீ இளைத்துப்போனாய்; இப்பொழுதும் ஜோசியரும், நட்சத்திரம் பார்க்கிறவர்களும், அமாவாசி கணிக்கிறவர்களும் எழும்பி, உனக்கு நேரிடுகிறவைகளுக்கு உன்னை விலக்கி இரட்சிக்கட்டும்.

Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.

இதோ, அவர்கள் தாளடியைப்போல் இருப்பார்கள், நெருப்பு அவர்களைச் சுட்டெரிக்கும்; அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிராணனை அக்கினிஜூவாலையினின்று விடுவிப்பதில்லை; அது குளிர்காயத்தக்க தழலுமல்ல; எதிரே உட்காரத்தக்க அடுப்புமல்ல.

Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

உன் சிறுவயதுமுதல் நீ பிரயாசப்பட்டு எவர்களுடன் வியாபாரம்பண்ணினாயோ, அவர்களும் அப்படியே இருப்பார்கள்; அவரவர் தங்கள் போக்கிலே போய் அலைவார்கள்; உன்னை இரட்சிப்பார் இல்லை.

Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou hast laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee.

அப்போஸ்தலர் அத்தியாயம் 15

சிலர் யூதேயாவிலிருந்து வந்து: நீங்கள் மோசேயினுடைய முறைமையின்படியே விருத்தசேதனமடையாவிட்டால், இரட்சிக்கப்படமாட்டீர்கள் என்று சகோதரருக்குப் போதகம் பண்ணினார்கள்.

And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.

அதினாலே அவர்களுக்கும் பவுல் பர்னபா என்பவர்களுக்கும் மிகுந்த வாக்குவாதமும் தர்க்கமும் உண்டானபோது, அந்த விஷயத்தினிமித்தம் பவுலும் பர்னபாவும் அவர்களைச் சேர்ந்தவேறு சிலரும் எருசலேமிலிருக்கிற அப்போஸ்தலரிடத்திற்கும் மூப்பரிடத்திற்கும் போகவேண்டுமென்று தீர்மானித்தார்கள்.

When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

அந்தப்படி அவர்கள் சபையாரால் வழிவிட்டனுப்பப்பட்டு, பெனிக்கே சமாரியா நாடுகளின் வழியாய்ப் போய், புறஜாதியார் மனந்திரும்பின செய்தியை அறிவித்து, சகோதரர் எல்லாருக்கும் மிகுந்த சந்தோஷத்தை உண்டாக்கினார்கள்.

And being brought on their way by the church, they passed through Phenice and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles: and they caused great joy unto all the brethren.

அவர்கள் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்து, சபையாராலும் அப்போஸ்தலராலும் மூப்பராலும் ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டபோது, தேவன் தங்களைக்கொண்டு செய்தவைகளையெல்லாம் அறிவித்தார்கள்.

And when they were come to Jerusalem, they were received of the church, and of the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them.

அப்பொழுது பரிசேய சமயத்தாரில் விசுவாசிகளான சிலர் எழுந்து, அவர்களை விருத்தசேதனம் பண்ணுகிறதும் மோசேயின் நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படி அவர்களுக்குக் கற்பிக்கிறதும் அவசியம் என்றார்கள்.

But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees which believed, saying, That it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.

அப்போஸ்தலரும், மூப்பரும் இந்தக் காரியத்தைக்குறித்து ஆலோசனைபண்ணும்படி கூடினார்கள்.

And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.

மிகுந்த தர்க்கம் உண்டானபோது, பேதுரு எழுந்து, அவர்களை நோக்கி: சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் அறிந்திருக்கிறபடி புறஜாதியார் என்னுடைய வாயினாலே சுவிசேஷ வசனத்தைக் கேட்டு விசுவாசிக்கும்படி தேவன் அநேக நாட்களுக்கு முன்னே உங்களில் ஒருவனாகிய என்னைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

இருதயங்களை அறிந்திருக்கிற தேவன் நமக்குப் பரிசுத்தஆவியைத் தந்தருளினதுபோல அவர்களுக்கும் தந்தருளி, அவர்களைக்குறித்துச் சாட்சிகொடுத்தார்;

And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;

விசுவாசத்தினாலே அவர்கள் இருதயங்களை அவர் சுத்தமாக்கி, நமக்கும் அவர்களுக்கும் யாதொரு வித்தியாசமுமிராதபடி செய்தார்.

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

இப்படியிருக்க, நம்முடைய பிதாக்களாலும் நம்மாலும் சுமக்கக்கூடாதிருந்த நுகத்தடியைச் சீஷர் கழுத்தின்மேல் சுமத்துவதினால், நீங்கள் தேவனைச் சோதிப்பானேன்?

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபையினாலே அவர்கள் இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறது எப்படியோ, அப்படியே நாமும் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவோமென்று நம்பியிருக்கிறோமே என்றான்.

But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

அப்பொழுது கூடிவந்திருந்த யாவரும் அமைந்திருந்து, பர்னபாவும் பவுலும் தங்களைக்கொண்டு தேவன் புறஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளே செய்த அடையாளங்கள் அற்புதங்கள் யாவையும் விவரித்துச் சொல்லக் கேட்டார்கள்.

Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul, declaring what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them.

அவர்கள் பேசி முடிந்தபின்பு, யாக்கோபு அவர்களை நோக்கி: சகோதரரே, எனக்குச் செவிகொடுங்கள்.

And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

தேவன் புறஜாதிகளினின்று தமது நாமத்திற்காக ஒரு ஜனத்தைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும்படி முதல்முதல் அவர்களுக்குச் கடாட்சித்தருளினவிதத்தைச் சிமியோன் விவரித்துச் சொன்னாரே.

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.

அதற்குத் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளுடைய வாக்கியங்களும் ஒத்திருக்கிறது.

And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,

எப்படியெனில், மற்ற மனுஷரும், என்னுடைய நாமந்தரிக்கப்படும் சகல ஜாதிகளும், கர்த்தரைத் தேடும்படிக்கு,

After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

நான் இதற்குப்பின்பு திரும்பிவந்து, விழுந்துபோன தாவீதின் கூடாரத்தை மறுபடியும் எடுப்பித்து, அதிலே பழுதாய்ப்போனவைகளை மறுபடியும் சீர்ப்படுத்தி, அதைச் செவ்வையாக நிறுத்துவேன் என்று இவைகளையெல்லாஞ்செய்கிற கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

உலகத்தோற்றமுதல் தேவனுக்குத் தம்முடைய கிரியைகளெல்லாம் தெரிந்திருக்கிறது.

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

ஆதலால் புறஜாதிகளில் தேவனிடத்தில் திரும்புகிறவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணலாகாதென்றும்,

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:

விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைத்த அசுசியானவைகளுக்கும், வேசித்தனத்திற்கும், நெருக்குண்டு செத்ததிற்கும், இரத்தத்திற்கும், விலகியிருக்கும்படி அவர்களுக்கு நாம் எழுதவேண்டுமென்றும் நான் தீர்மானிக்கிறேன்.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

மோசேயின் ஆகமங்கள் ஓய்வுநாள்தோறும் ஜெப ஆலயங்களில் வாசிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறபடியால், பூர்வகாலந்தொடங்கிச் சகல பட்டணங்களிலும் அந்த ஆகமங்களைப் பிரசங்கிக்கிறவர்களும் உண்டே என்றான்.

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

அப்பொழுது தங்களில் சிலரைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு பவுலோடும் பர்னபாவோடும் அந்தியோகியாவுக்கு அனுப்புகிறது அப்போஸ்தலருக்கும் மூப்பருக்கும் சபையாரெல்லாருக்கும் நலமாகக் கண்டது. அவர்கள் யாரென்றால், சகோதரரில் விசேஷித்தவர்களாகிய பர்சபா என்று மறுபேர்கொண்ட யூதாவும் சீலாவுமே.

Then pleased it the apostles and elders, with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

இவர்கள் கையில் அவர்கள் எழுதிக்கொடுத்தனுப்பின நிருபமாவது: அப்போஸ்தலரும் மூப்பரும் சகோதரருமாகிய நாங்கள் அந்தியோகியாவிலும் சீரியாவிலும் சிலிசியாவிலும் இருக்கும் புறஜாதியாராகிய சகோதரருக்கு வாழ்த்துதல் சொல்லி எழுதிய நிருபம் என்னவென்றால்:

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:

எங்களால் கட்டளைபெறாத சிலர் எங்களிடத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, நீங்கள் விருத்தசேதனமடையவேண்டுமென்றும், நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளவேண்டுமென்றும் சொல்லி, இப்படிப்பட்ட வார்த்தைகளால் உங்களைக் கலக்கி, உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களைப் புரட்டினார்கள் என்று நாங்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டபடியினாலே,

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்திற்காகத் தங்கள் பிராணனையும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கத் துணிந்தவர்களும் எங்களுக்குப் பிரியமானவர்களுமாயிருக்கிற பர்னபா பவுல் என்பவர்களோடுங்கூட,

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

எங்களால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட சில மனுஷரை உங்களிடத்திற்கு அனுப்புகிறது ஒருமனப்பட்டுக் கூடின எங்களுக்கு நலமாகக்கண்டது.

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

அந்தப்படியே யூதாவையும் சீலாவையும் அனுப்பியிருக்கிறோம். அவர்களும் இவைகளை வாய்மொழியாக உங்களுக்கு அறிவிப்பார்கள்.

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

எவையெனில், விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைத்தவைகளுக்கும், இரத்தத்திற்கும், நெருக்குண்டு செத்ததிற்கும், வேசித்தனத்திற்கும், நீங்கள் விலகியிருக்கவேண்டுமென்பதே.

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

அவசியமான இவைகளையல்லாமல் பாரமான வேறொன்றையும் உங்கள்மேல் சுமத்தாமலிருப்பது பரிசுத்த ஆவிக்கும் எங்களுக்கும் நலமாகக் கண்டது; இவைகளுக்கு விலகி நீங்கள் உங்களைக் காத்துக் கொள்ளுவது நலமாயிருக்கும். சுகமாயிருப்பீர்களாக என்று எழுதினார்கள்.

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

அவர்கள் அனுப்பிவிடப்பட்டு, அந்தியோகியாவுக்கு வந்து, சபையைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து, நிருபத்தை ஒப்புவித்தார்கள்.

So when they were dismissed, they came to Antioch: and when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle:

அதை அவர்கள் வாசித்து, அதனாலுண்டாகிய ஆறுதலுக்காகச் சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்கள்.

Which when they had read, they rejoiced for the consolation.

யூதா சீலா என்பவர்களும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளாயிருந்தபடியினாலே அநேக வார்த்தைகளினால் சகோதரருக்குப் புத்தி சொல்லி, அவர்களைத் திடப்படுத்தி,

And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them.

சிலகாலம் அங்கேயிருந்து, பின்பு சகோதரரால் சமாதானத்தோடே அப்போஸ்தலரிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பிவிடப்பட்டார்கள்.

And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brethren unto the apostles.

ஆகிலும் சீலாவுக்கு அங்கே தரித்திருக்கிறது நலமாய்க் கண்டது.

Notwithstanding it pleased Silas to abide there still.

பவுலும் பர்னபாவும் அந்தியோகியாவிலே சஞ்சரித்து, வேறே அநேகரோடுங்கூடக் கர்த்தருடைய வசனத்தை உபதேசித்துப் பிரசங்கித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

Paul also and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the word of the Lord, with many others also.

சிலநாளைக்குப்பின்பு பவுல் பர்னபாவை நோக்கி: நாம் கர்த்தருடைய வசனத்தை அறிவித்திருக்கிற சகல பட்டணங்களிலுமுள்ள சகோதரர்கள் எப்படியிருக்கிறார்களென்று போய்ப்பார்ப்போம் வாரும் என்றான்.

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do.

அப்பொழுது பர்னபா என்பவன் மாற்கு என்னும் பேர்கொண்ட யோவானைக்கூட அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகவேண்டும் என்றான்.

And Barnabas determined to take with them John, whose surname was Mark.

பவுலோ: அவன் பம்பிலியா நாட்டிலே நம்மை விட்டுப் பிரிந்து நம்மோடேகூட ஊழியத்துக்கு வராததினாலே, அவனை அழைத்துக்கொண்டு போகக்கூடாது என்றான்.

But Paul thought not good to take him with them, who departed from them from Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work.

இதைப்பற்றி அவர்களுக்குள்ளே கடுங்கோபமூண்டபடியினால் அவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் விட்டுப் பிரிந்தார்கள். பர்னபா மாற்குவைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு கப்பல் ஏறிச் சீப்புருதீவுக்குப் போனான்.

And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;

பவுலோ சீலாவைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, சகோதரராலே தேவனுடைய கிருபைக்கு ஒப்புவிக்கப்பட்டு, புறப்பட்டு,

And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

சீரியாவிலும் சிலிசியாவிலும் திரிந்து, சபைகளைத் திடப்படுத்தினான்.

And he went through Syria and Cilicia, confirming the churches.
