சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 133

இதோ, சகோதரர் ஒருமித்து வாசம்பண்ணுகிறது எத்தனை நன்மையும் எத்தனை இன்பமுமானது?

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

அது ஆரோனுடைய சிரசின்மேல் ஊற்றப்பட்டு, அவனுடைய தாடியிலே வடிகிறதும், அவனுடைய அங்கிகளின்மேல் இறங்குகிறதுமான நல்ல தைலத்துக்கும்,

It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

எர்மோன்மேலும், சீயோன் பர்வதங்கள்மேலும் இறங்கும் பனிக்கும் ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அங்கே கர்த்தர் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் ஜீவனையும் கட்டளையிடுகிறார்.

As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 134

இதோ, இராக்காலங்களில் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் நிற்கும் கர்த்தரின் ஊழியக்காரரே, நீங்களெல்லாரும் கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD.

உங்கள் கைகளைப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்கு நேராக எடுத்து, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் உண்டாக்கின கர்த்தர் சீயோனிலிருந்து உன்னை ஆசீர்வதிப்பாராக.

The LORD that made heaven and earth bless thee out of Zion.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 135

அல்லேலூயா, கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைத் துதியுங்கள்; கர்த்தரின் ஊழியக்காரரே, துதியுங்கள்.

Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise him, O ye servants of the LORD.

கர்த்தருடைய வீட்டிலும், நமது தேவனுடைய ஆலயப்பிராகாரங்களிலும் நிற்கிறவர்களே, கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்.

Ye that stand in the house of the LORD, in the courts of the house of our God,

கர்த்தர் நல்லவர்; அவருடைய நாமத்தைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; அது இன்பமானது.

Praise the LORD; for the LORD is good: sing praises unto his name; for it is pleasant.

கர்த்தர் யாக்கோபைத் தமக்காகவும், இஸ்ரவேலைத் தமக்குச் சொந்தமாகவும் தெரிந்துகொண்டார்.

For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

கர்த்தர் பெரியவர் என்றும், நம்முடைய ஆண்டவர் எல்லா தேவர்களுக்கும் மேலானவர் என்றும் நான் அறிவேன்.

For I know that the LORD is great, and that our Lord is above all gods.

வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும், சமுத்திரங்களிலும், எல்லா ஆழங்களிலும், கர்த்தர் தமக்குச் சித்தமானதையெல்லாம் செய்கிறார்.

Whatsoever the LORD pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.

அவர் பூமியின் கடையாந்தரங்களிலிருந்து மேகங்களை எழும்பப்பண்ணி, மழையுடன் மின்னலையும் உண்டாக்கி, காற்றைத் தமது பண்டசாலைகளிலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணுகிறார்.

He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries.

அவர் எகிப்திலே மனுஷருடைய தலைப்பிள்ளைகளையும் மிருகத்தின் தலையீற்றுகளையும் அடித்தார்.

Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast.

எகிப்துதேசமே, உன் நடுவில் பார்வோன்மேலும் அவனுடைய எல்லா ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும் அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் அனுப்பினார்.

Who sent tokens and wonders into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh, and upon all his servants.

அவர் அநேகம் ஜாதிகளை அடித்து, பலத்த ராஜாக்களைக் கொன்று;

Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings;

எமோரியரின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனையும், பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகையும், கானானின் சகல ராஜ்யங்களையும் அழித்து,

Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan:

அவர்கள் தேசத்தைத் தம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்குச் சுதந்தரமாகக் கொடுத்தார்.

And gave their land for an heritage, an heritage unto Israel his people.

கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய நாமம் என்றைக்குமுள்ளது; கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய பிரஸ்தாபம் தலைமுறை தலைமுறைக்கும் இருக்கும்.

Thy name, O LORD, endureth for ever; and thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.

கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனத்தின் நியாயத்தை விசாரித்து, தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர்மேல் பரிதாபப்படுவார்.

For the LORD will judge his people, and he will repent himself concerning his servants.

அஞ்ஞானிகளுடைய விக்கிரகங்கள் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும், மனுஷருடைய கைவேலையுமாயிருக்கிறது.

The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.

அவைகளுக்கு வாயிருந்தும் பேசாது, அவைகளுக்குக் கண்களிருந்தும் காணாது.

They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

அவைகளுக்குக் காதுகளிருந்தும் கேளாது, அவைகளுடைய வாயிலே சுவாசமுமில்லை.

They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

அவைகளைப் பண்ணுகிறவர்களும், அவைகளை நம்புகிறவர்கள் யாவரும், அவைகளைப்போல் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

They that make them are like unto them: so is every one that trusteth in them.

இஸ்ரவேல் குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்; ஆரோன் குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

Bless the LORD, O house of Israel: bless the LORD, O house of Aaron:

லேவி குடும்பத்தாரே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்; கர்த்தருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரியுங்கள்.

Bless the LORD, O house of Levi: ye that fear the LORD, bless the LORD.

எருசலேமில் வாசம்பண்ணுகிற கர்த்தருக்கு சீயோனிலிருந்து ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக. அல்லேலூயா.

Blessed be the LORD out of Zion, which dwelleth at Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 136

கர்த்தரை துதியுங்கள்; அவர் நல்லவர், அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

தேவாதி தேவனைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.

கர்த்தாதி கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.

ஒருவராய் பெரிய அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிறவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.

வானங்களை ஞானமாய் உண்டாக்கினவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.

தண்ணீர்களுக்கு மேலே பூமியைப் பரப்பினவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.

பெரிய சுடர்களை உண்டாக்கினவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது;

To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:

பகலில் ஆளச் சூரியனைப் படைத்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:

இரவில் ஆளச் சந்திரனையும் நட்சத்திரங்களையும் படைத்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது;

The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.

எகிப்தியருடைய தலைச்சன்களைச் சங்கரித்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

To him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for his mercy endureth for ever:

அவர்கள் நடுவிலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேலைப் புறப்படப்பண்ணினவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

And brought out Israel from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:

பலத்த கையினாலும் ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும் அதைச் செய்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for his mercy endureth for ever.

சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தை இரண்டாகப் பிரித்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

To him which divided the Red sea into parts: for his mercy endureth for ever:

அதின் நடுவே இஸ்ரவேலைக் கடந்துபோகப்பண்ணினவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for his mercy endureth for ever:

பார்வோனையும் அவன் சேனைகளையும் சிவந்த சமுத்திரத்தில் கவிழ்த்துப்போட்டவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for his mercy endureth for ever.

தம்முடைய ஜனங்களை வனாந்தரத்தில் நடத்தினவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

To him which led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy endureth for ever.

பெரிய ராஜாக்களைச் சங்கரித்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

To him which smote great kings: for his mercy endureth for ever:

பிரபலமான ராஜாக்களை அழித்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

And slew famous kings: for his mercy endureth for ever:

எமோரியரின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனை அழித்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

Sihon king of the Amorites: for his mercy endureth for ever:

பாசானின் ராஜாவாகிய ஓகை அழித்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

And Og the king of Bashan: for his mercy endureth for ever:

அவர்கள் தேசத்தைச் சுதந்தரமாகத் தந்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

And gave their land for an heritage: for his mercy endureth for ever:

அதைத் தம்முடைய தாசனாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்குச் சுதந்திரமாகவே தந்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

Even an heritage unto Israel his servant: for his mercy endureth for ever.

நம்முடைய தாழ்வில் நம்மை நினைத்தவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:

நம்முடைய சத்துருக்களின் கையிலிருந்து நம்மை விடுதலைபண்ணினவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.

மாம்ச தேகமுள்ள யாவுக்கும் ஆகாரங் கொடுக்கிறவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.

பரலோகத்தின் தேவனைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 137

பாபிலோன் ஆறுகள் அருகே நாங்கள் உட்கார்ந்து, அங்கே சீயோனை நினைத்து அழுதோம்.

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

அதின் நடுவிலிருக்கும் அலரிச்செடிகளின்மேல் எங்கள் கின்னரங்களைத் தூக்கிவைத்தோம்.

We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

எங்களைச் சிறைபிடித்தவர்கள் அங்கே எங்கள் பாடல்களையும், எங்களைப் பாழாக்கினவர்கள் மங்கள கீதத்தையும் விரும்பி: சீயோனின் பாட்டுகளில் சிலதை எங்களுக்குப் பாடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.

கர்த்தரின் பாட்டை அந்நிய தேசத்தில் நாங்கள் பாடுவதெப்படி?

How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land?

எருசலேமே, நான் உன்னை மறந்தால் என் வலதுகை தன் தொழிலை மறப்பதாக.

If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

நான் உன்னை நினையாமலும், எருசலேமை என் முக்கியமான மகிழ்ச்சியிலும் அதிகமாக எண்ணாமலும்போனால், என் நாவு என் மேல் வாயோடு ஒட்டிக்கொள்வதாக.

If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

கர்த்தாவே, எருசலேமின் நாளில் ஏதோமின் புத்திரரை நினையும்; அவர்கள்: அதை இடித்துப்போடுங்கள், அஸ்திபாரமட்டும் இடித்துப்போடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னார்களே.

Remember, O LORD, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.

பாபிலோன் குமாரத்தியே, பாழாய்ப்போகிறவளே, நீ எங்களுக்குச் செய்தபடி உனக்குப் பதில் செய்கிறவன் பாக்கியவான்.

O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

உன் குழந்தைகளைப் பிடித்து, கல்லின்மேல் மோதியடிக்கிறவன் பாக்கியவான்.

Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 138

உம்மை என் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் துதிப்பேன்; தேவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக உம்மைக் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுவேன்.

I will praise thee with my whole heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee.

உமது பரிசுத்த ஆலயத்திற்கு நேராக நான் பணிந்து, உமது கிருபையினிமித்தமும் உமது உண்மையினிமித்தமும் உமது நாமத்தைத் துதிப்பேன்; உமது சகல பிரஸ்தாபத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும் உமது வார்த்தையை நீர் மகிமைப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறீர்.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

நான் கூப்பிட்ட நாளிலே எனக்கு மறுஉத்தரவு அருளினீர்; என் ஆத்துமாவிலே பெலன்தந்து என்னைத் தைரியப்படுத்தினீர்;

In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, and strengthenedst me with strength in my soul.

கர்த்தாவே, பூமியின் ராஜாக்களெல்லாரும் உமது வாயின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்கும்போது உம்மைத் துதிப்பார்கள்.

All the kings of the earth shall praise thee, O LORD, when they hear the words of thy mouth.

கர்த்தரின் மகிமை பெரிதாயிருப்பதினால், அவர்கள் கர்த்தரின் வழிகளைப் பாடுவார்கள்.

Yea, they shall sing in the ways of the LORD: for great is the glory of the LORD.

கர்த்தர் உயர்ந்தவராயிருந்தும், தாழ்மையுள்ளவனை நோக்கிப் பார்க்கிறார்; மேட்டிமையானவனையோ தூரத்திலிருந்து அறிகிறார்.

Though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off.

நான் துன்பத்தின் நடுவில் நடந்தாலும் நீர் என்னை உயிர்ப்பிப்பீர்; என் சத்துருக்களின் கோபத்துக்கு விரோதமாக உமது கையை நீட்டுவீர்; உமது வலதுகரம் என்னை இரட்சிக்கும்.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

கர்த்தர் எனக்காக யாவையும் செய்து முடிப்பார்; கர்த்தாவே, உமது கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது; உமது கரத்தின் கிரியைகளை நெகிழவிடாதிருப்பீராக.

The LORD will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O LORD, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 139

கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்னை ஆராய்ந்து, அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.

O LORD, thou hast searched me, and known me.

என் உட்காருதலையும் என் எழுந்திருக்குதலையும் நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்; என் நினைவுகளைத் தூரத்திலிருந்து அறிகிறீர்.

Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

நான் நடந்தாலும் படுத்திருந்தாலும் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறீர்; என் வழிகளெல்லாம் உமக்குத் தெரியும்.

Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways.

என் நாவில் சொல் பிறவாததற்கு முன்னே, இதோ, கர்த்தாவே, அதையெல்லாம் நீர் அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்.

For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

முற்புறத்திலும் பிற்புறத்திலும் நீர் என்னை நெருக்கி, உமது கரத்தை என்மேல் வைக்கிறீர்.

Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

இந்த அறிவு எனக்கு மிகுந்த ஆச்சரியமும், எனக்கு எட்டாத உயரமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it.

உம்முடைய ஆவிக்கு மறைவாக எங்கே போவேன்? உம்முடைய சமுகத்தைவிட்டு எங்கே ஓடுவேன்?

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

நான் வானத்திற்கு ஏறினாலும், நீர் அங்கே இருக்கிறீர்; நான் பாதாளத்தில் படுக்கை போட்டாலும், நீர் அங்கேயும் இருக்கிறீர்.

If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.

நான் விடியற்காலத்துச் செட்டைகளை எடுத்து, சமுத்திரத்தின் கடையாந்தரங்களிலே போய்த் தங்கினாலும்,

If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

அங்கேயும் உமது கை என்னை நடத்தும், உமது வலதுகரம் என்னைப் பிடிக்கும்.

Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

இருள் என்னை மூடிக்கொள்ளுமென்றாலும், இரவும் என்னைச் சுற்றி வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும்.

If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

உமக்கு மறைவாக இருளும் அந்தகாரப்படுத்தாது; இரவும் பகலைப்போல வெளிச்சமாயிருக்கும்; உமக்கு இருளும் வெளிச்சமும் சரி.

Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

நீர் என் உள்ளிந்திரியங்களைக் கைக்கொண்டிருக்கிறீர்; என் தாயின் கர்ப்பத்தில் என்னைக் காப்பாற்றினீர்.

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

நான் பிரமிக்கத்தக்க அதிசயமாய் உண்டாக்கப்பட்டபடியால், உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்; உமது கிரியைகள் அதிசயமானவைகள்; அது என் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு நன்றாய்த் தெரியும்.

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

நான் ஒளிப்பிடத்திலே உண்டாக்கப்பட்டு, பூமியின் தாழ்விடங்களிலே விசித்திர விநோதமாய் உருவாக்கப்பட்டபோது, என் எலும்புகள் உமக்கு மறைவாயிருக்கவில்லை.

My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

என் கருவை உம்முடைய கண்கள் கண்டது; என் அவயவங்களில் ஒன்றாகிலும் இல்லாதபோதே அவைகள் அனைத்தும், அவைகள் உருவேற்படும் நாட்களும், உமது புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருந்தது.

Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

தேவனே, உமது ஆலோசனைகள் எனக்கு எத்தனை அருமையானவைகள்; அவைகளின் தொகை எவ்வளவு அதிகம்.

How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

அவைகளை நான் எண்ணப்போனால், மணலைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாம்; நான் விழிக்கும்போது இன்னும் உம்மண்டையில் இருக்கிறேன்.

If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

தேவனே, நீர் துன்மார்க்கனை அழித்தீரானால் நலமாயிருக்கும்; இரத்தப்பிரியரே, நீங்கள் என்னை விட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள்.

Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

அவர்கள் உம்மைக் குறித்துத் துன்மார்க்கமாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள்; உம்முடைய சத்துருக்கள் உமது நாமத்தை வீணாய் வழங்குகிறார்கள்.

For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

கர்த்தாவே, உம்மைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை நான் பகையாமலும், உமக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிறவர்களை அருவருக்காமலும் இருப்பேனோ?

Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

முழுப்பகையாய் அவர்களைப் பகைக்கிறேன்; அவர்களை எனக்குப் பகைஞராக எண்ணுகிறேன்.

I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

தேவனே, என்னை ஆராய்ந்து, என் இருதயத்தை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்; என்னைச் சோதித்து, என் சிந்தனைகளை அறிந்துகொள்ளும்.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

வேதனை உண்டாக்கும் வழி என்னிடத்தில் உண்டோ என்று பார்த்து, நித்திய வழியிலே என்னை நடத்தும்.

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

லூக்கா அத்தியாயம் 21

அவர் கண்ணேறிட்டுப் பார்த்தபோது, ஐசுவரியவான்கள் காணிக்கைப்பெட்டியிலே தங்கள் காணிக்கைகளைப் போடுகிறதைக் கண்டார்.

And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

ஒரு ஏழை விதவை அதிலே இரண்டு காசைப் போடுகிறதையும் கண்டு:

And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

இந்த ஏழை விதவை மற்றெல்லாரைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாகப் போட்டாள் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

அவர்களெல்லாரும் தங்கள் பரிபூரணத்திலிருந்தெடுத்து தேவனுக்கென்று காணிக்கை போட்டார்கள்; இவளோ தன் வறுமையிலிருந்து தன் ஜீவனத்துக்கு உண்டாயிருந்ததெல்லாம் போட்டுவிட்டாள் என்றார்.

For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.

பின்பு, சிறந்த கற்களினாலும் காணிக்கைகளினாலும் தேவாலயம் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறதைக்குறித்து சிலர் சொன்னபோது,

And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,

அவர்: நீங்கள் பார்க்கிற இவைகளில் ஒரு கல் மற்றொரு கல்லின்மேலிராதபடிக்கு எல்லாம் இடிக்கப்படும் நாட்கள் வரும் என்றார்.

As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

அவர்கள் அவரை நோக்கி: போதகரே, இவைகள் எப்பொழுது சம்பவிக்கும், இவைகள் சம்பவிக்கும் காலத்துக்கு அடையாளம் என்ன என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

அதற்கு அவர்: நீங்கள் வஞ்சிக்கப்படாதபடிக்கு எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்; ஏனெனில் அநேகர் வந்து என் நாமத்தைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டு: நான்தான் கிறிஸ்து என்றும், காலம் சமீபித்தது என்றும் சொல்லுவார்கள்; அவர்களைப் பின்பற்றாதிருங்கள்.

And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.

யுத்தங்களையும் கலகங்களையுங்குறித்து நீங்கள் கேள்விப்படும்போது, பயப்படாதிருங்கள்; இவைகள் முன்னதாகச் சம்பவிக்கவேண்டியதே; ஆனாலும் முடிவு உடனே வராது என்றார்.

But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.

அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: ஜனத்துக்கு விரோதமாய் ஜனமும், ராஜ்யத்துக்கு விரோதமாய் ராஜ்யமும் எழும்பும்.

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:

பல இடங்களில் மகா பூமியதிர்ச்சிகளும், பஞ்சங்களும், கொள்ளைநோய்களும் உண்டாகும்; வானத்திலிருந்து பயங்கரமான தோற்றங்களும் பெரிய அடையாளங்களும் உண்டாகும்.

And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

இவைகளெல்லாம் நடப்பதற்கு முன்னே என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம், அவர்கள் உங்களைப் பிடித்து, ஜெப ஆலயங்களுக்கும் சிறைச்சாலைகளுக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, ராஜாக்கள் முன்பாகவும் அதிபதிகள் முன்பாகவும் உங்களை இழுத்துத் துன்பப்படுத்துவார்கள்.

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.

ஆனாலும் அது உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாவதற்கு ஏதுவாயிருக்கும்.

And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

ஆகையால் என்ன உத்தரவு சொல்லுவோமென்று கவலைப்படாதிருக்கும்படி உங்கள் மனதிலே நிர்ணயம்பண்ணிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:

உங்களை விரோதிக்கிறவர்கள் ஒருவரும் எதிர்பேசவும் எதிர்நிற்கவும் கூடாத வாக்கையும் ஞானத்தையும் நான் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன்.

For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

பெற்றோராலும், சகோதரராலும், பந்துஜனங்களாலும், சிநேகிதராலும் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கப்படுவீர்கள்; உங்களில் சிலரைக் கொலைசெய்வார்கள்.

And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

என் நாமத்தினிமித்தம் எல்லாராலும் பகைக்கப்படுவீர்கள்.

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.

ஆனாலும் உங்கள் தலைமயிரில் ஒன்றாகிலும் அழியாது.

But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

உங்கள் பொறுமையினால் உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

In your patience possess ye your souls.

எருசலேம் சேனைகளால் சூழப்பட்டிருப்பதை நீங்கள் காணும்போது, அதின் அழிவு சமீபமாயிற்றென்று அறியுங்கள்.

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

அப்பொழுது யூதேயாவிலிருக்கிறவர்கள் மலைகளுக்கு ஓடிப்போகவும், எருசலேமிலிருக்கிறவர்கள் வெளியே புறப்படவும், நாட்டுப்புறங்களிலிருக்கிறவர்கள் நகரத்தில் பிரவேசியாமலிருக்கவும்கடவர்கள்.

Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.

எழுதியிருக்கிற யாவும் நிறைவேறும்படி நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டும் நாட்கள் அவைகளே.

For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

அந்நாட்களில் கர்ப்பவதிகளுக்கும் பால்கொடுக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் ஐயோ, பூமியின்மேல் மிகுந்த இடுக்கணும் இந்த ஜனத்தின்மேல் கோபாக்கினையும் உண்டாகும்.

But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.

பட்டயக்கருக்கினாலே விழுவார்கள், சகல புறஜாதிகளுக்குள்ளும் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போவார்கள்; புறஜாதியாரின் காலம் நிறைவேறும்வரைக்கும் எருசலேம் புறஜாதியாரால் மிதிக்கப்படும்.

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

சூரியனிலும் சந்திரனிலும் நட்சத்திரங்களிலும் அடையாளங்கள் தோன்றும்; பூமியின்மேலுள்ள ஜனங்களுக்குத் தத்தளிப்பும் இடுக்கணும் உண்டாகும்; சமுத்திரமும் அலைகளும் முழக்கமாயிருக்கும்.

And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

வானத்தின் சத்துவங்கள் அசைக்கப்படும்; ஆதலால் பூமியின்மேல் வரும் ஆபத்துக்களுக்குப் பயந்து எதிர்பார்த்திருக்கிறதினால் மனுஷருடைய இருதயம் சோர்ந்துபோகும்.

Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

அப்பொழுது மனுஷகுமாரன் மிகுந்த வல்லமையோடும் மகிமையோடும் மேகத்தின்மேல் வருகிறதைக் காண்பார்கள்.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

இவைகள் சம்பவிக்கத் தொடங்கும்போது, உங்கள் மீட்பு சமீபமாயிருப்பதால், நீங்கள் நிமிர்ந்துபார்த்து, உங்கள் தலைகளை உயர்த்துங்கள் என்றார்.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

அன்றியும் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு உவமையைச் சொன்னார்: அத்திமரத்தையும் மற்றெல்லா மரங்களையும் பாருங்கள்.

And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

அவைகள் தளிர்க்கிறதை நீங்கள் காணும்போது வசந்தகாலம் சமீபமாயிற்றென்று அறிகிறீர்கள்.

When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

அப்படியே இவைகள் சம்பவிக்கிறதை நீங்கள் காணும்போது, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் சமீபமாயிற்றென்று அறியுங்கள்.

So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

இவையெல்லாம் சம்பவிக்குமுன் இந்தச் சந்ததி ஒழிந்துபோகாதென்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.

வானமும் பூமியும் ஒழிந்துபோம், என் வார்த்தைகளோ ஒழிந்துபோவதில்லை.

Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

உங்கள் இருதயங்கள் பெருந்திண்டியினாலும் வெறியினாலும் லவுகீக கவலைகளினாலும் பாரமடையாதபடிக்கும், நீங்கள் நினையாத நேரத்தில் அந்த நாள் உங்கள்மேல் வராதபடிக்கும் எச்சரிக்கையாயிருங்கள்.

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

பூமியிலெங்கும் குடியிருக்கிற அனைவர்மேலும் அது ஒரு கண்ணியைப்போல வரும்.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

ஆகையால் இனிச் சம்பவிக்கப்போகிற இவைகளுக்கெல்லாம் நீங்கள் தப்பி, மனுஷகுமாரனுக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கப்பாத்திரவான்களாக எண்ணப்படுவதற்கு, எப்பொழுதும் ஜெபம்பண்ணி விழித்திருங்கள் என்றார்.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

அவர் பகற்காலங்களில் தேவாலயத்திலே உபதேசம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்து, இராக்காலங்களில் வெளியே போய், ஒலிவமலை என்னப்பட்ட மலையிலே தங்கிவந்தார்.

And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.

ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அவருடைய உபதேசத்தைக் கேட்கும்படி அதிகாலமே தேவாலயத்தில் அவரிடத்திற்கு வருவார்கள்.

And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
