சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 119

கர்த்தருடைய வேதத்தின்படி நடக்கிற உத்தம மார்க்கத்தார் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

அவருடைய சாட்சிகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு, அவரை முழு இருதயத்தோடும் தேடுகிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

அவர்கள் அநியாயம் செய்வதில்லை; அவருடைய வழிகளில் நடக்கிறார்கள்.

They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

உமது கட்டளைகளை நாங்கள் கருத்தாய்க் கைக்கொள்ளும்படி நீர் கற்பித்தீர்.

Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.

உமது பிரமாணங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படி, என் நடைகள் ஸ்திரப்பட்டால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.

O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

நான் உம்முடைய கற்பனைகளையெல்லாம் கண்ணோக்கும்போது, வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போவதில்லை.

Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

உம்முடைய நீதிநியாயங்களை நான் கற்றுக்கொள்ளும்போது, செம்மையான இருதயத்தால் உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்.

I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

உமது பிரமாணங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளுவேன்; முற்றிலும் என்னைக் கைவிடாதேயும்.

I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.

வாலிபன் தன் வழியை எதினால் சுத்தம்பண்ணுவான்? உமது வசனத்தின்படி தன்னைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுகிறதினால்தானே.

BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

என் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன், என்னை உமது கற்பனைகளைவிட்டு வழிதப்பவிடாதேயும்.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

நான் உமக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பாவஞ்செய்யாதபடிக்கு, உமது வாக்கை என்னிருதயத்தில் வைத்து வைத்தேன்.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

கர்த்தாவே, நீர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்பட்டவர்; உம்முடைய பிரமாணங்களை எனக்குப் போதியும்.

Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.

உம்முடைய வாக்கின் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளையெல்லாம் என் உதடுகளால் விவரித்திருக்கிறேன்.

With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

திரளான செல்வத்தில் களிகூருவதுபோல, நான் உமது சாட்சிகளின் வழியில் களிகூருகிறேன்.

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

உமது கட்டளைகளைத் தியானித்து, உமது வழிகளைக் கண்ணோக்குகிறேன்.

I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

உமது பிரமாணங்களில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிறேன்; உமது வசனத்தை மறவேன்.

I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.

உமது அடியேனுக்கு அனுகூலமாயிரும்; அப்பொழுது நான் பிழைத்து, உமது வசனத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுவேன்.

GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

உமது வேதத்திலுள்ள அதிசயங்களை நான் பார்க்கும்படிக்கு, என் கண்களைத் திறந்தருளும்.

Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

பூமியிலே நான் பரதேசி; உமது கற்பனைகளை எனக்கு மறையாதேயும்.

I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

உமது நியாயங்கள்மேல் என் ஆத்துமா எக்காலமும் வைத்திருக்கிற வாஞ்சையினால் தொய்ந்து போகிறது.

My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

உமது கற்பனைகளை விட்டு வழிவிலகின சபிக்கப்பட்ட அகங்காரிகளை நீர் கடிந்துகொள்ளுகிறீர்.

Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

நிந்தையையும் அவமானத்தையும் என்னை விட்டகற்றும்; நான் உம்முடைய சாட்சிகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

பிரபுக்களும் உட்கார்ந்து எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பேசிக்கொள்ளுகிறார்கள்; உமது அடியேனோ, உமது பிரமாணங்களைத் தியானிக்கிறேன்.

Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

உம்முடைய சாட்சிகள் எனக்கு இன்பமும், என் ஆலோசனைக்காரருமாயிருக்கிறது.

Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counsellors.

என் ஆத்துமா மண்ணோடு ஒட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது; உமது வசனத்தின்படி என்னை உயிர்ப்பியும்.

DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

என் வழிகளை நான் உமக்கு விவரித்துக் காட்டினபோது எனக்குச் செவிகொடுத்தீர்; உமது பிரமாணங்களை எனக்குப் போதியும்.

I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

உமது கட்டளைகளின் வழியை எனக்கு உணர்த்தியருளும்; அப்பொழுது உமது அதிசயங்களைத் தியானிப்பேன்.

Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

சஞ்சலத்தால் என் ஆத்துமா கரைந்து போகிறது; உமது வசனத்தின்படி என்னை எடுத்து நிறுத்தும்.

My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

பொய்வழியை என்னைவிட்டு விலக்கி, உம்முடைய வேதத்தை எனக்கு அருள்செய்யும்.

Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

மெய்வழியை நான் தெரிந்துகொண்டு, உம்முடைய நியாயங்களை எனக்கு முன்பாக நிறுத்தினேன்.

I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

உமது சாட்சிகள்மேல் பற்றுதலாயிருக்கிறேன்; கர்த்தாவே, என்னை வெட்கத்திற்குட்படப்பண்ணாதேயும்.

I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O LORD, put me not to shame.

நீர் என் இருதயத்தை விசாலமாக்கும்போது, நான் உமது கற்பனைகளின் வழியாக ஓடுவேன்.

I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது பிரமாணங்களின் வழியை எனக்குப் போதியும்; முடிவுபரியந்தம் நான் அதைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுவேன்.

HE. Teach me, O LORD, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

எனக்கு உணர்வைத் தாரும்; அப்பொழுது நான் உமது வேதத்தைப் பற்றிக்கொண்டு, என் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் அதைக் கைக்கொள்ளுவேன்.

Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

உமது கற்பனைகளின் பாதையில் என்னை நடத்தும்; நான் அதில் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறேன்.

Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

என் இருதயம் பொருளாசையைச் சாராமல், உமது சாட்சிகளைச் சாரும்படி செய்யும்.

Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

மாயையைப் பாராதபடி நீர் என் கண்களை விலக்கி, உமது வழிகளில் என்னை உயிர்ப்பியும்.

Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

உமக்குப் பயப்படுகிறதற்கு ஏற்ற உமது வாக்கை உமது அடியேனுக்கு உறுதிப்படுத்தும்.

Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.

நான் அஞ்சுகிற நிந்தையை விலக்கியருளும்; உம்முடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் நல்லவைகள்.

Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

இதோ, உம்முடைய கட்டளைகள்மேல் வாஞ்சையாயிருக்கிறேன்; உமது நீதியால் என்னை உயிர்ப்பியும்.

Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய வாக்கின்படி, உமது தயவும் உமது இரட்சிப்பும் எனக்கு வருவதாக.

VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, even thy salvation, according to thy word.

அப்பொழுது என்னை நிந்திக்கிறவனுக்கு உத்தரவு சொல்லுவேன்; உம்முடைய வசனத்தை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

சத்திய வசனம் முற்றிலும் என் வாயினின்று நீங்கவிடாதேயும்; உம்முடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளுக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்.

And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.

நான் எப்பொழுதும் என்றைக்கும் உமது வேதத்தைக் காத்துக்கொள்ளுவேன்.

So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

நான் உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளை ஆராய்கிறபடியால், விசாலத்திலே நடப்பேன்.

And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

நான் உம்முடைய சாட்சிகளைக் குறித்து, ராஜாக்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் வெட்கப்படாமல் பேசுவேன்.

I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

நான் பிரியப்படுகிற உமது கற்பனைகளின்பேரில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருப்பேன்.

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

நான் பிரியப்படுகிற உமது கற்பனைகளுக்குக் கையெடுப்பேன், உமது பிரமாணங்களைத் தியானிப்பேன்.

My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.

நீர் என்னை நம்பப்பண்ணின வசனத்தை உமது அடியேனுக்காக நினைத்தருளும்.

ZAIN. Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.

அதுவே என் சிறுமையில் எனக்கு ஆறுதல், உம்முடைய வாக்கு என்னை உயிர்ப்பித்தது.

This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.

அகந்தைக்காரர் என்னை மிகவும் பரியாசம்பண்ணியும், நான் உமது வேதத்தைவிட்டு விலகினதில்லை.

The proud have had me greatly in derision: yet have I not declined from thy law.

கர்த்தாவே, ஆதிமுதலான உமது நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளை நான் நினைத்து என்னைத் தேற்றுகிறேன்.

I remembered thy judgments of old, O LORD; and have comforted myself.

உமது வேதத்தை விட்டு விலகுகிற துன்மார்க்கர்நிமித்தம் நடுக்கம் என்னைப் பிடித்தது.

Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

நான் பரதேசியாய்த் தங்கும் வீட்டிலே உமது பிரமாணங்கள் எனக்குக் கீதங்களாயின.

Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.

கர்த்தாவே, இராக்காலத்தில் உமது நாமத்தை நினைத்து, உமது வேதத்தைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

I have remembered thy name, O LORD, in the night, and have kept thy law.

நான் உமது கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டபடியினால், இது எனக்குக் கிடைத்தது.

This I had, because I kept thy precepts.

கர்த்தாவே, நீரே என் பங்கு; நான் உமது வசனங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளுவேன் என்றேன்.

CHETH. Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words.

முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உம்முடைய தயவுக்காகக் கெஞ்சுகிறேன்; உமது வாக்கின்படி எனக்கு இரங்கும்.

I intreated thy favour with my whole heart: be merciful unto me according to thy word.

என் வழிகளைச் சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டு, என் கால்களை உம்முடைய சாட்சிகளுக்கு நேராகத் திருப்பினேன்.

I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

உமது கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படி, நான் தாமதியாமல் தீவிரித்தேன்.

I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

துன்மார்க்கரின் கூட்டங்கள் என்னைக் கொள்ளையிட்டும், உம்முடைய வேதத்தை நான் மறக்கவில்லை.

The bands of the wicked have robbed me: but I have not forgotten thy law.

உமது நீதியான நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளினிமித்தம், உம்மைத் துதிக்கும்படி பாதிராத்திரியில் எழுந்திருப்பேன்.

At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.

உமக்குப் பயந்து, உமது கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிற அனைவருக்கும் நான் தோழன்.

I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.

கர்த்தாவே, பூமி உமது கிருபையினால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது; உமது பிரமாணங்களை எனக்குப் போதியும்.

The earth, O LORD, is full of thy mercy: teach me thy statutes.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது வசனத்தின்படி உமது அடியேனை நன்றாய் நடத்தினீர்.

TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word.

உத்தம நிதானிப்பையும் அறிவையும் எனக்குப் போதித்தருளும், உம்முடைய கற்பனைகளின்பேரில் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறேன்.

Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments.

நான் உபத்திரவப்படுவதற்கு முன் வழிதப்பி நடந்தேன்; இப்பொழுதோ உம்முடைய வார்த்தையைக் காத்து நடக்கிறேன்.

Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.

தேவரீர் நல்லவரும், நன்மை செய்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்; உமது பிரமாணங்களை எனக்குப் போதியும்.

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.

அகங்காரிகள் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பொய்களைப் பிணைக்கிறார்கள்; நானோ, முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுவேன்.

The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep thy precepts with my whole heart.

அவர்கள் இருதயம் நிணந்துன்னிக் கொழுத்திருக்கிறது; நானோ, உம்முடைய வேதத்தில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிருக்கிறேன்.

Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law.

நான் உபத்திரவப்பட்டது எனக்கு நல்லது; அதினால் உமது பிரமாணங்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்.

It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

அநேகமாயிரம் பொன் வெள்ளியைப்பார்க்கிலும், நீர் விளம்பின வேதமே எனக்கு நலம்.

The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

உம்முடைய கரங்கள் என்னை உண்டாக்கி, என்னை உருவாக்கிற்று; உம்முடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ள என்னை உணர்வுள்ளவனாக்கும்.

JOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

நான் உம்முடைய வசனத்திற்குக் காத்திருக்கிறபடியால், உமக்குப் பயந்தவர்கள் என்னைக் கண்டு சந்தோஷப்படுவார்கள்.

They that fear thee will be glad when they see me; because I have hoped in thy word.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் நீதியுள்ளதென்றும், உண்மையின்படி என்னை உபத்திரவப்படுத்தினீரென்றும் அறிவேன்.

I know, O LORD, that thy judgments are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.

நீர் உமது அடியேனுக்குக் கொடுத்த உமது வாக்கின்படி, உமது கிருபை என்னைத் தேற்றுவதாக.

Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.

நான் பிழைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கு உமது இரக்கங்கள் எனக்குக் கிடைப்பதாக; உம்முடைய வேதம் என் மனமகிழ்ச்சி.

Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live: for thy law is my delight.

அகங்காரிகள் என்னைப் பொய்களினால் கெடுக்கப் பார்த்தபடியால் வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போவார்களாக; நானோ உமது கட்டளைகளைத் தியானிப்பேன்.

Let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in thy precepts.

உமக்குப் பயந்து, உமது சாட்சிகளை அறிந்திருக்கிறவர்கள் என்னண்டைக்குத் திரும்புவார்களாக.

Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies.

நான் வெட்கப்பட்டுப் போகாதபடிக்கு, என் இருதயம் உமது பிரமாணங்களில் உத்தமமாயிருக்கக்கடவது.

Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be not ashamed.

உம்முடைய இரட்சிப்புக்கு என் ஆத்துமா தவிக்கிறது; உம்முடைய வசனத்துக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்.

CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.

எப்பொழுது என்னைத் தேற்றுவீர் என்று, உம்முடைய வாக்கின்மேல் நோக்கமாய் என் கண்கள் பூத்துப்போகிறது.

Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?

புகையிலுள்ள துருத்தியைப் போலானேன்; உமது பிரமாணங்களையோ மறவேன்.

For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget thy statutes.

உமது அடியேனுடைய நாட்கள் எம்மாத்திரம்? என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறவர்களுக்கு நீர் எப்பொழுது நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு செய்வீர்?

How many are the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?

உம்முடைய வேதத்துக்கு விரோதமாய் அகங்காரிகள் எனக்குக் குழிகளை வெட்டினார்கள்.

The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after thy law.

உம்முடைய கற்பனைகளெல்லாம் உண்மையாயிருக்கிறது; அநியாயமாய் என்னைத் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்; நீர் எனக்குச் சகாயம்பண்ணும்.

All thy commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help thou me.

அவர்கள் என்னைப் பூமியிலிராமல் நீக்கிவிடச் சற்றே தப்பிற்று; ஆனாலும் நான் உமது கட்டளைகளை விட்டுவிடவில்லை.

They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy precepts.

உமது கிருபையின்படியே என்னை உயிர்ப்பியும்; அப்பொழுது நான் உம்முடைய வாக்கின் சாட்சியைக் காத்து நடப்பேன்.

Quicken me after thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது வசனம் என்றென்றைக்கும் வானங்களில் நிலைத்திருக்கிறது.

LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

உம்முடைய உண்மை தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக இருக்கும்; பூமியை உறுதிப்படுத்தினீர், அது நிலைத்திருக்கிறது.

Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

உம்முடைய பிரமாணங்களை நிறைவேற்றும்படி அவைகள் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் நிற்கிறது; சமஸ்தமும் உம்மைச் சேவிக்கும்.

They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.

உமது வேதம் என் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிராதிருந்தால், என் துக்கத்திலே அழிந்துபோயிருப்பேன்.

Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

நான் ஒருபோதும் உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளை மறக்கமாட்டேன்; அவைகளால் நீர் என்னை உயிர்ப்பித்தீர்.

I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

நான் உம்முடையவன், என்னை இரட்சியும்; உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளை ஆராய்கிறேன்.

I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.

துன்மார்க்கர் என்னை அழிக்கக் காத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; நான் உமது சாட்சிகளைச் சிந்தித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்.

The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider thy testimonies.

சகல சம்பூரணத்திற்கும் எல்லையைக் கண்டேன்; உம்முடைய கற்பனையோ மகா விஸ்தாரம்.

I have seen an end of all perfection: but thy commandment is exceeding broad.

உமது வேதத்தில் நான் எவ்வளவு பிரியமாயிருக்கிறேன்! நாள் முழுவதும் அது என் தியானம்.

MEM. O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

நீர் உம்முடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கொண்டு என்னை என் சத்துருக்களிலும் அதிக ஞானமுள்ளவனாக்குகிறீர்; அவைகள் என்றைக்கும் என்னுடனே இருக்கிறது.

Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.

உம்முடைய சாட்சிகள் என் தியானமாயிருக்கிறபடியால், எனக்குப் போதித்தவர்களெல்லாரிலும் அறிவுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறேன்.

I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.

உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளை நான் கைக்கொண்டிருக்கிறபடியால், முதியோர்களைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஞானமுள்ளவனாயிருக்கிறேன்.

I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.

உம்முடைய வசனத்தை நான் காத்து நடக்கும்படிக்கு, சகல பொல்லாத வழிகளுக்கும் என் கால்களை விலக்குகிறேன்.

I have refrained my feet from every evil way, that I might keep thy word.

நீர் எனக்குப் போதித்திருக்கிறபடியால், நான் உம்முடைய நியாயங்களை விட்டு விலகேன்.

I have not departed from thy judgments: for thou hast taught me.

உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகள் என் நாவுக்கு எவ்வளவு இனிமையானவைகள்; என் வாய்க்கு அவைகள் தேனிலும் மதுரமாயிருக்கும்.

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

உமது கட்டளைகளால் உணர்வடைந்தேன், ஆதலால் எல்லாப் பொய்வழிகளையும் வெறுக்கிறேன்.

Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

உம்முடைய வசனம் என் கால்களுக்குத் தீபமும், என் பாதைக்கு வெளிச்சமுமாயிருக்கிறது.

NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

நான் மிகவும் உபத்திரவப்படுகிறேன்; கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய வசனத்தின்படியே என்னை உயிர்ப்பியும்.

I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.

Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me thy judgments.

My soul is continually in my hand: yet do I not forget thy law.

துன்மார்க்கர் எனக்குக் கண்ணிவைக்கிறார்கள்; ஆனாலும் நான் உம்முடைய கட்டளைகளை விட்டு வழிதவறேன்.

The wicked have laid a snare for me: yet I erred not from thy precepts.

உம்முடைய சாட்சிகளை நித்திய சுதந்தரமாக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன், அவைகளே என் இருதயத்தின் மகிழ்ச்சி.

Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart.

முடிவுபரியந்தம் இடைவிடாமல் உம்முடைய பிரமாணங்களின்படி செய்ய என் இருதயத்தைச் சாய்த்தேன்.

I have inclined mine heart to perform thy statutes alway, even unto the end.

SAMECH. I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.

Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God.

Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.

என்னை ஆதரித்தருளும்; அப்பொழுது நான் இரட்சிக்கப்பட்டு, எக்காலமும் உம்முடைய பிரமாணங்களின்பேரில் நோக்கமாயிருப்பேன்.

Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.

உமது பிரமாணங்களைவிட்டு வழிவிலகுகிற யாவரையும் மிதித்துப் போடுகிறீர்; அவர்களுடைய உபாயம் வெறும் பொய்யே.

Thou hast trodden down all them that err from thy statutes: for their deceit is falsehood.

பூமியிலுள்ள துன்மார்க்கர் யாவரையும் களிம்பைப்போல அகற்றிவிடுகிறீர்; ஆகையால் உமது சாட்சிகளில் பிரியப்படுகிறேன்.

Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth like dross: therefore I love thy testimonies.

உமக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்தால் என் உடம்பு சிலிர்க்கிறது; உமது நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகளுக்குப் பயப்படுகிறேன்.

My flesh trembleth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.

AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.

Be surety for thy servant for good: let not the proud oppress me.

Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.

It is time for thee, LORD, to work: for they have made void thy law.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.

PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.

உம்முடைய வசனத்தின் பிரசித்தம் வெளிச்சம் தந்து, பேதைகளை உணர்வுள்ளவர்களாக்கும்.

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.

Look thou upon me, and be merciful unto me, as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.

Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Deliver me from the oppression of man: so will I keep thy precepts.

உமது அடியேன்மேல் உமது முகத்தைப் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணி, உமது பிரமாணங்களை எனக்குப் போதியும்.

Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; and teach me thy statutes.

உம்முடைய வேதத்தை மனுஷர் காத்துநடவாதபடியால், என் கண்களிலிருந்து நீர்த்தாரைகள் ஓடுகிறது.

Rivers of waters run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

TZADDI. Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments.

நீர் கட்டளையிட்ட சாட்சிகள் நீதியும், மகா உண்மையுமானவைகள்.

Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful.

என் சத்துருக்கள் உம்முடைய வசனங்களை மறந்தபடியால், என் பக்திவைராக்கியம் என்னைப் பட்சிக்கிறது.

My zeal hath consumed me, because mine enemies have forgotten thy words.

Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.

I am small and despised: yet do not I forget thy precepts.

Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

இக்கட்டும் நெருக்கமும் என்னைப் பிடித்தது; ஆனாலும் உம்முடைய கற்பனைகள் என் மனமகிழ்ச்சி.

Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me: yet thy commandments are my delights.

உம்முடைய சாட்சிகளின் நீதி என்றைக்கும் நிற்கும்; என்னை உணர்வுள்ளவனாக்கும், அப்பொழுது நான் பிழைத்திருப்பேன்.

The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.

Hear my voice according unto thy lovingkindness: O LORD, quicken me according to thy judgment.

They draw nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.

Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

RESH. Consider mine affliction, and deliver me: for I do not forget thy law.

Salvation is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

Great are thy tender mercies, O LORD: quicken me according to thy judgments.

Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; yet do I not decline from thy testimonies.

I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.

Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.

இயேசு எப்படிப்பட்டவரோ என்று அவரைப் பார்க்க வகைதேடினான். அவன் குள்ளனானபடியால், ஜனக்கூட்டத்தில் அவரைக் காணக்கூடாமல்,

And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

சகேயு நின்று, கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, என் ஆஸ்திகளில் பாதியை ஏழைகளுக்குக் கொடுக்கிறேன், நான் ஒருவனிடத்தில் எதையாகிலும் அநியாயமாய் வாங்கினதுண்டானால், நாலத்தனையாகத் திரும்பச் செலுத்துகிறேன் என்றான்.

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: இன்றைக்கு இந்த வீட்டுக்கு இரட்சிப்பு வந்தது; இவனும் ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் குமாரனாயிருக்கிறானே.

And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

இழந்துபோனதைத் தேடவும் இரட்சிக்கவுமே மனுஷகுமாரன் வந்திருக்கிறார் என்றார்.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

அவர்கள் இவைகளைக் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அவர் எருசலேமுக்குச் சமீபித்திருந்தபடியினாலும், தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் சீக்கிரமாய் வெளிப்படுமென்று அவர்கள் நினைத்தபடியினாலும், அவர் ஒரு உவமையைச் சொன்னார்:

And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear.

பிரபுவாகிய ஒருவன் ஒரு ராஜ்யத்தைப் பெற்றுக்கொண்டு திரும்பிவரும்படி தூரதேசத்துக்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டான்.

He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

புறப்படும்போது, அவன் தன் ஊழியக்காரரில் பத்துப்பேரை அழைத்து, அவர்களிடத்தில் பத்துராத்தல் திரவியங்கொடுத்து: நான் திரும்பிவருமளவும் இதைக்கொண்டு வியாபாரம்பண்ணுங்கள் என்று சொன்னான்.

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.

And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

அப்பொழுது முந்தினவன் வந்து: ஆண்டவனே, உம்முடைய ராத்தலினால் பத்துராத்தல் ஆதாயம் கிடைத்தது என்றான்.

Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

எஜமான் அவனை நோக்கி: நல்லது உத்தம ஊழியக்காரனே, நீ கொஞ்சத்தில் உண்மையுள்ளவனாயிருந்தபடியால் பத்துப் பட்டணங்களுக்கு அதிகாரியாயிரு என்றான்.

And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

அப்படியே இரண்டாம் ஊழியக்காரன் வந்து: ஆண்டவனே, உம்முடைய ராத்தலினால் ஐந்துராத்தல் ஆதாயம் கிடைத்தது என்றான்.

And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.

அவனையும் அவன் நோக்கி: நீயும் ஐந்து பட்டணங்களுக்கு அதிகாரியாயிரு என்றான்.

And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.

பின்பு வேறொருவன் வந்து: ஆண்டவனே, இதோ, உம்முடைய ராத்தல், இதை ஒரு சீலையிலே வைத்திருந்தேன்.

And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:

நீர் வைக்காததை எடுக்கிறவரும், விதைக்காததை அறுக்கிறவருமான கடினமுள்ள மனுஷனென்று அறிந்து, உமக்குப் பயந்திருந்தேன் என்றான்.

For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.

அதற்கு அவன்: பொல்லாத ஊழியக்காரனே, உன் வாய்ச்சொல்லைக்கொண்டே உன்னை நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறேன். நான் வைக்காததை எடுக்கிறவனும், விதைக்காததை அறுக்கிறவனுமான கடினமுள்ள மனுஷனென்று அறிந்தாயே,

And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:

பின்னை ஏன் நீ என் திரவியத்தைக் காசுக்கடையிலே வைக்கவில்லை; வைத்திருந்தால் நான் வரும்போது, அதை வட்டியோடே வரப்பற்றிக்கொள்ளுவேனே என்று சொல்லி;

Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?

சமீபமாய் நிற்கிறவர்களை நோக்கி: அந்த ராத்தலை அவன் கையிலிருந்தெடுத்து, பத்துராத்தல் உள்ளவனுக்குக் கொடுங்கள் என்றான்.

And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: ஆண்டவனே, அவனுக்குப் பத்துராத்தல் இருக்கிறதே என்றார்கள்.

And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)

அதற்கு அவன்: உள்ளவன் எவனுக்குங்கொடுக்கப்படும், இல்லாதவனிடத்தில் உள்ளதும் எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்படும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

அன்றியும் தங்கள்மேல் நான் ராஜாவாகிறதற்கு மனதில்லாதிருந்தவர்களாகிய என்னுடைய சத்துருக்களை இங்கே கொண்டுவந்து, எனக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னான் என்றார்.

But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

இவைகளை அவர் சொன்னபின்பு எருசலேமுக்குப் புறப்பட்டு, முந்தி நடந்துபோனார்.

And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

அவர் ஒலிவமலையென்னப்பட்ட மலையின் அருகான பெத்பகே பெத்தானியா என்னும் ஊர்களுக்குச் சமீபித்தபோது, தம்முடைய சீஷரில் இரண்டுபேரை நோக்கி:

And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

உங்களுக்கு எதிரே இருக்கிற கிராமத்துக்குப் போங்கள், அதிலே பிரவேசிக்கும்போது மனுஷரிலொருவனும் ஒருக்காலும் ஏறியிராத கழுதைக்குட்டியைக் கட்டியிருக்கக் காண்பீர்கள்; அதை அவிழ்த்துக்கொண்டு வாருங்கள்.

Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

அதை ஏன் அவிழ்க்கிறீர்களென்று யாராவது உங்களிடத்தில் கேட்டால், அது ஆண்டவருக்கு வேண்டுமென்று சொல்லுங்கள் என்றார்.

And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்கள் போய், தங்களுக்கு அவர் சொன்னபடியே கண்டார்கள்.

And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.

கழுதைக்குட்டியை அவர்கள் அவிழ்க்கும்போது, அதற்கு உடையவர்கள்: குட்டியை ஏன் அவிழ்க்கிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.

And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: அது ஆண்டவருக்கு வேண்டுமென்று சொல்லி,

And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

அதை இயேசுவினிடத்தில் கொண்டுவந்து, தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களை அதின்மேல் போட்டு, இயேசுவை அதின்மேல் ஏற்றினார்கள்.

And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

அவர் போகையில், அவர்கள் தங்கள் வஸ்திரங்களை வழியிலே விரித்தார்கள்.

And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

அவர் ஒலிவமலையின் அடிவாரத்துக்குச் சமீபமாய் வருகையில் திரளான கூட்டமாகிய சீஷரெல்லாரும் தாங்கள் கண்ட சகல அற்புதங்களையுங்குறித்துச் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு,

And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தினாலே வருகிற ராஜா ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்பட்டவர், பரலோகத்திலே சமாதானமும் உன்னதத்திலே மகிமையும் உண்டாவதாக என்று மிகுந்த சத்தத்தோடே தேவனைப் புகழ்ந்தார்கள்.

Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

அப்பொழுது கூட்டத்திலிருந்த பரிசேயரில் சிலர் அவரை நோக்கி: போதகரே, உம்முடைய சீஷரை அதட்டும் என்றார்கள்.

And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.

அவர்களுக்கு அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: இவர்கள் பேசாமலிருந்தால் கல்லுகளே கூப்பிடும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.

அவர் சமீபமாய் வந்தபோது நகரத்தைப்பார்த்து, அதற்காகக் கண்ணீர்விட்டழுது,

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,

உனக்குக் கிடைத்த இந்த நாளிலாகிலும் உன் சமாதானத்துக்கு ஏற்றவைகளை நீ அறிந்திருந்தாயானால் நலமாயிருக்கும், இப்பொழுதோ அவைகள் உன் கண்களுக்கு மறைவாயிருக்கிறது.

Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

உன்னைச் சந்திக்குங்காலத்தை நீ அறியாமற்போனபடியால், உன் சத்துருக்கள் உன்னைச் சூழ மதில்போட்டு, உன்னை வளைந்துகொண்டு, எப்பக்கத்திலும் உன்னை நெருக்கி,

For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

உன்னையும் உன்னிலுள்ள உன் பிள்ளைகளையும் தரையாக்கிப்போட்டு, உன்னிடத்தில் ஒரு கல்லின்மேல் ஒரு கல்லிராதபடிக்குச் செய்யும் நாட்கள் உனக்குவரும் என்றார்.

And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

பின்பு அவர் தேவாலயத்தில் பிரவேசித்து, அதிலே விற்கிறவர்களையும் கொள்ளுகிறவர்களையும் புறம்பே துரத்தத்தொடங்கி:

And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought;

என்னுடைய வீடு ஜெபவீடாயிருக்கிறதென்று எழுதியிருக்கிறது, நீங்களோ அதைக் கள்ளர்குகையாக்கினீர்கள் என்றார்.

Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.

அவர் நாடோறும் தேவாலயத்தில் உபதேசம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தார். பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் ஜனத்தின் மூப்பரும் அவரைக் கொலைசெய்ய வகைதேடியும்,

And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,

ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அவருக்குச் செவிகொடுத்து அவரை அண்டிக்கொண்டிருந்தபடியால், அதை இன்னபடி செய்யலாமென்று வகைகாணாதிருந்தார்கள்.

And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.
