சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 90

ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக எங்களுக்கு அடைக்கலமானவர்.

Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

பர்வதங்கள் தோன்றுமுன்னும், நீர் பூமியையும், உலகத்தையும் உருவாக்குமுன்னும், நீரே அநாதியாய் என்றென்றைக்கும் தேவனாயிருக்கிறீர்.

Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

நீர் மனுஷரை நீர்த்துளியாக்கி, மனுபுத்திரரே, திரும்புங்கள் என்கிறீர்.

Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

உமது பார்வைக்கு ஆயிரம் வருஷம் நேற்றுக்கழிந்த நாள்போலவும் இராச்சாமம்போலவும் இருக்கிறது.

For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night.

அவர்களை வெள்ளம்போல் வாரிக்கொண்டு போகிறீர்; நித்திரைக்கு ஒத்திருக்கிறார்கள்; காலையிலே முளைக்கிற புல்லுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up.

அது காலையிலே முளைத்துப் பூத்து, மாலையிலே அறுப்புண்டு உலர்ந்துபோகும்.

In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.

நாங்கள் உமது கோபத்தினால் அழிந்து உமது உக்கிரத்தினால் கலங்கிப்போகிறோம்.

For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.

எங்கள் அக்கிரமங்களை உமக்கு முன்பாகவும், எங்கள் அந்தரங்க பாவங்களை உமது முகத்தின் வெளிச்சத்திலும் நிறுத்தினீர்.

Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.

எங்கள் நாட்களெல்லாம் உமது கோபத்தால் போய்விட்டது; ஒரு கதையைப்போல் எங்கள் வருஷங்களைக் கழித்துப்போட்டோம்.

For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told.

எங்கள் ஆயுசு நாட்கள் எழுபது வருஷம், பெலத்தின் மிகுதியால் எண்பது வருஷமாயிருந்தாலும், அதின் மேன்மையானது வருத்தமும் சஞ்சலமுமே; அது சீக்கரமாய்க் கடந்து போகிறது நாங்களும் பறந்துபோகிறோம்.

The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

உமது கோபத்தின் வல்லமையையும், உமக்குப் பயப்படத்தக்க விதமாய் உமது உக்கிரத்தையும் அறிந்து கொள்ளுகிறவன் யார்?

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

நாங்கள் ஞான இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி, எங்கள் நாட்களை எண்ணும் அறிவை எங்களுக்குப் போதித்தருளும்.

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

கர்த்தாவே, திரும்பிவாரும், எதுவரைக்கும் கோபமாயிருப்பீர்? உமது அடியாருக்காகப் பரிதபியும்.

Return, O LORD, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.

நாங்கள் எங்கள் வாழ்நாளெல்லாம் களிகூர்ந்து மகிழும்படி, காலையிலே எங்களை உமது கிருபையால் திருப்தியாக்கும்.

O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

தேவரீர் எங்களைச் சிறுமைப்படுத்தின நாட்களுக்கும், நாங்கள் துன்பத்தைக் கண்ட வருஷங்களுக்கும் சரியாய் எங்களை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கும்.

Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil.

உமது கிரியை உமது ஊழியக்காரருக்கும், உமது மகிமை அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் விளங்குவதாக.

Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

எங்கள் தேவனாகிய ஆண்டவரின் பிரியம் எங்கள் மேல் இருப்பதாக; எங்கள் கைகளின் கிரியையை எங்களிடத்தில் உறுதிப்படுத்தும்; ஆம், எங்கள் கைகளின் கிரியையை எங்களிடத்தில் உறுதிப்படுத்தியருளும்.

And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 91

உன்னதமானவரின் மறைவிலிருக்கிறவன் சர்வவல்லவருடைய நிழலில் தங்குவான்.

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

நான் கர்த்தரை நோக்கி: நீர் என் அடைக்கலம், என் கோட்டை, என் தேவன், நான் நம்பியிருக்கிறவர் என்று சொல்லுவேன்.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

அவர் உன்னை வேடனுடைய கண்ணிக்கும், பாழாக்கும் கொள்ளை நோய்க்கும் தப்புவிப்பார்.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

அவர் தமது சிறகுகளாலே உன்னை மூடுவார்; அவர் செட்டைகளின் கீழே அடைக்கலம் புகுவாய்; அவருடைய சத்தியம் உனக்குப் பரிசையும் கேடகமுமாகும்.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

இரவில் உண்டாகும் பயங்கரத்துக்கும், பகலில் பறக்கும் அம்புக்கும்,

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

இருளில் நடமாடும் கொள்ளை நோய்க்கும், மத்தியானத்தில் பாழாக்கும் சங்காரத்துக்கும் பயப்படாதிருப்பாய்.

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

உன் பக்கத்தில் ஆயிரம்பேரும், உன் வலதுபுறத்தில் பதினாயிரம்பேரும் விழுந்தாலும், அது உன்னை அணுகாது.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

உன் கண்களால் மாத்திரம் நீ அதைப் பார்த்து, துன்மார்க்கருக்கு வரும் பலனைக் காண்பாய்.

Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

எனக்கு அடைக்கலமாயிருக்கிற உன்னதமான கர்த்தரை உனக்குத் தாபரமாகக்கொண்டாய்.

Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

ஆகையால் பொல்லாப்பு உனக்கு நேரிடாது, வாதை உன் கூடாரத்தை அணுகாது.

There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

உன் வழிகளிலெல்லாம் உன்னைக் காக்கும்படி, உனக்காகத் தம்முடைய தூதர்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடுவார்.

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

உன் பாதம் கல்லில் இடறாதபடிக்கு அவர்கள் உன்னைத் தங்கள் கைகளில் ஏந்திக்கொண்டு போவார்கள்.

They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

சிங்கத்தின்மேலும் விரியன் பாம்பின்மேலும் நீ நடந்து, பாலசிங்கத்தையும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தையும் மிதித்துப்போடுவாய்.

Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

அவன் என்னிடத்தில் வாஞ்சையாயிருக்கிறபடியால் அவனை விடுவிப்பேன்; என் நாமத்தை அவன் அறிந்திருக்கிறபடியால் அவனை உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலத்திலே வைப்பேன்.

Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

அவன் என்னை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுவான், நான் அவனுக்கு மறுஉத்தரவு அருளிச்செய்வேன்; ஆபத்தில் நானே அவனோடிருந்து, அவனைத் தப்புவித்து, அவனைக் கனப்படுத்துவேன்.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

நீடித்த நாட்களால் அவனைத் திருப்தியாக்கி, என், இரட்சிப்பை அவனுக்குக் காண்பிப்பேன்.

With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 92

கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பதும், உன்னதமானவரே, உமது நாமத்தைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுவதும்,

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:

பத்துநரம்பு வீணையினாலும், தம்புருவினாலும், தியானத்தோடு வாசிக்கும் சுரமண்டலத்தினாலும்,

To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

காலையிலே உமது கிருபையையும், இரவிலே உமது சத்தியத்தையும் அறிவிப்பதும் நலமாயிருக்கும்.

Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது செய்கைகளால் என்னை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கினீர், உமது கரத்தின் கிரியைகளினிமித்தம் ஆனந்தசத்தமிடுவேன்.

For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது கிரியைகள் எவ்வளவு மகத்துவமானவைகள்! உமது யோசனைகள் மகா ஆழமானவைகள்.

O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.

மிருககுணமுள்ள மனுஷன் அதை அறியான்; மூடன் அதை உணரான்.

A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.

துன்மார்க்கர் புல்லைப்போலே தழைத்து, அக்கிரமக்காரர் யாவரும் செழிக்கும்போது, அது அவர்கள் என்றென்றைக்கும் அழிந்துபோவதற்கே ஏதுவாகும்.

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:

கர்த்தாவே, நீர் என்றென்றைக்கும் உன்னதமானவராயிருக்கிறீர்.

But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது சத்துருக்கள் அழிவார்கள்; உமது சத்துருக்கள் அழிந்தேபோவார்கள்; சகல அக்கிரமக்காரரும் சிதறுண்டுபோவார்கள்.

For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

என் கொம்பைக் காண்டாமிருகத்தின் கொம்பைப்போல உயர்த்துவீர்; புது எண்ணெயால் அபிஷேகம் பண்ணப்படுகிறேன்.

But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.

என் சத்துருக்களுக்கு நேரிடுவதை என் கண் காணும்; எனக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்புகிற துன்மார்க்கருக்கு நேரிடுவதை என் காது கேட்கும்.

Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.

நீதிமான் பனையைப்போல் செழித்து, லீபனோனிலுள்ள கேதுருவைப்போல் வளருவான்.

The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே நாட்டப்பட்டவர்கள் எங்கள் தேவனுடைய பிராகாரங்களில் செழித்திருப்பார்கள்.

Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

கர்த்தர் உத்தமரென்றும், என் கன்மலையாகிய அவரிடத்தில் அநீதியில்லையென்றும், விளங்கப்பண்ணும்படி,

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;

அவர்கள் முதிர்வயதிலும் கனிதந்து, புஷ்டியும் பசுமையுமாயிருப்பார்கள்.

To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 93

கர்த்தர் ராஜரிகம்பண்ணுகிறார், மகத்துவத்தை அணிந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறார்; கர்த்தர் பராக்கிரமத்தை அணிந்து, அவர் அதைக் கச்சையாகக் கட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்; ஆதலால் பூச்சக்கரம் அசையாதபடி நிலைபெற்றிருக்கிறது.

The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

உமது சிங்காசனம் பூர்வமுதல் உறுதியானது; நீர் அநாதியாயிருக்கிறீர்.

Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

கர்த்தாவே, நதிகள் எழும்பின; நதிகள் இரைச்சலிட்டு எழும்பின; நதிகள் அலைதிரண்டு எழும்பின.

The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their waves.

திரளான தண்ணீர்களின் இரைச்சலைப்பார்க்கிலும், சமுத்திரத்தின் வலுமையான அலைகளைப்பார்க்கிலும், கர்த்தர் உன்னதத்திலே வல்லமையுள்ளவர்.

The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea.

உமது சாட்சிகள் மிகவும் உண்மையுள்ளவைகள்; கர்த்தாவே, பரிசுத்தமானது நித்திய நாளாக உமது ஆலயத்தின் அலங்காரமாயிருக்கிறது.

Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 94

நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுகிற தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டுகிற தேவனே, பிரகாசியும்.

O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.

பூமியின் நியாயாதிபதியே, நீர் எழுந்து, பெருமைக்காரருக்குப் பதிலளியும்.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.

கர்த்தாவே, துன்மார்க்கர் எதுவரைக்கும் மகிழ்ந்து, துன்மார்க்கர் எதுவரைக்கும் களிகூர்ந்திருப்பார்கள்?

LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

எதுவரைக்கும் அக்கிரமக்காரர் யாவரும் வாயாடி, கடினமாய்ப் பேசி, பெருமைபாராட்டுவார்கள்?

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?

கர்த்தாவே, அவர்கள் உமது ஜனத்தை நொறுக்கி, உமது சுதந்தரத்தை ஒடுக்குகிறார்கள்.

They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

விதவையையும் பரதேசியையும் கொன்று, திக்கற்ற பிள்ளைகளைக் கொலைசெய்து:

They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

கர்த்தர் பாரார், யாக்கோபின் தேவன் கவனியார் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.

ஜனத்தில் மிருககுணமுள்ளவர்களே, உணர்வடையுங்கள்; மூடரே, எப்பொழுது புத்திமான்களாவீர்கள்?

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?

காதை உண்டாக்கினவர் கேளாரோ? கண்ணை உருவாக்கினவர் காணாரோ?

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

ஜாதிகளை தண்டிக்கிறவர் கடிந்துகொள்ளாரோ? மனுஷனுக்கு அறிவைப் போதிக்கிறவர் அறியாரோ?

He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

மனுஷனுடைய யோசனைகள் வீணென்று கர்த்தர் அறிந்திருக்கிறார்.

The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

கர்த்தாவே, துன்மார்க்கனுக்குக் குழிவெட்டப்படும்வரைக்கும், நீர் தீங்கு நாட்களில் அமர்ந்திருக்கப்பண்ணி,

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

சிட்சித்து, உம்முடைய வேதத்தைக்கொண்டு போதிக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்.

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய ஜனத்தை நெகிழவிடாமலும், தம்முடைய சுதந்தரத்தைக் கைவிடாமலும் இருப்பார்.

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

நியாயம் நீதியினிடமாகத் திரும்பும்; செம்மையான இருதயத்தார் யாவரும் அதைப் பின்பற்றுவார்கள்.

But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

துன்மார்க்கருக்கு விரோதமாய் என் பட்சத்தில் எழும்புகிறவன் யார்? அக்கிரமக்காரருக்கு விரோதமாய் என் பட்சத்தில் நிற்பவன் யார்?

Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

கர்த்தர் எனக்குத் துணையாயிராவிட்டால், என் ஆத்துமா சீக்கிரமாய் மவுனத்தில் வாசம் பண்ணியிருக்கும்.

Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

என் கால் சறுக்குகிறது என்று நான் சொல்லும்போது, கர்த்தாவே, உமது கிருபை என்னைத் தாங்குகிறது.

When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.

என் உள்ளத்தில் விசாரங்கள் பெருகுகையில், உம்முடைய ஆறுதல்கள் என் ஆத்துமாவைத் தேற்றுகிறது.

In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

தீமையைக் கட்டளையினால் பிறப்பிக்கிற கொடுங்கோலாசனம் உமக்கு இசைந்திருக்குமோ?

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?

அவர்கள் நீதிமானுடைய ஆத்துமாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கூட்டங்கூடி, குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தத்தைக் குற்றப்படுத்துகிறார்கள்.

They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

கர்த்தரோ எனக்கு அடைக்கலமும், என் தேவன் நான் நம்பியிருக்கிற கன்மலையுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் திருப்பி, அவர்களுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம் அவர்களைச் சங்கரிப்பார்; நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரே அவர்களைச் சங்கரிப்பார்.

And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.

சங்கீதம் அத்தியாயம் 95

கர்த்தரைக் கெம்பீரமாய்ப் பாடி, நம்முடைய இரட்சணியக் கன்மலையைச் சங்கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணக்கடவோம் வாருங்கள்.

O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

துதித்தலுடனே அவர் சந்நிதிக்கு முன்பாக வந்து, சங்கீதங்களால் அவரை ஆர்ப்பரித்துப் பாடக்கடவோம்.

Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

கர்த்தரே மகா தேவனும், எல்லா தேவர்களுக்கும் மகாராஜனுமாயிருக்கிறார்.

For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.

பூமியின் ஆழங்கள் அவர் கையில் இருக்கிறது; பர்வதங்களின் உயரங்களும் அவருடையவைகள்.

In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also.

சமுத்திரம் அவருடையது, அவரே அதை உண்டாக்கினார்; வெட்டாந்தரையையும் அவருடைய கரம் உருவாக்கிற்று.

The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

நம்மை உண்டாக்கின கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நாம் பணிந்து குனிந்து முழங்காற்படியிடக்கடவோம் வாருங்கள்.

O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.

அவர் நம்முடைய தேவன்; நாம் அவர் மேய்ச்சலின் ஜனங்களும், அவர் கைக்குள்ளான ஆடுகளுமாமே.

For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,

இன்று அவருடைய சத்தத்தைக்கேட்பீர்களாகில், வனாந்தரத்தில் கோபம் மூட்டினபோதும் சோதனை நாளிலும் நடந்ததுபோல, உங்கள் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தாதேயுங்கள்.

Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

அங்கே உங்கள் பிதாக்கள் என்னைச் சோதித்து, என்னைப் பரீட்சை பார்த்து, என் கிரியையையும் கண்டார்கள்.

When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.

நாற்பதுவருஷமாய் நான் அந்தச் சந்ததியை அரோசித்து, அவர்கள் வழுவிப்போகிற இருதயமுள்ள ஜனமென்றும், என்னுடைய வழிகளை அறியாதவர்களென்றும் சொல்லி,

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

என்னுடைய இளைப்பாறுதலில் அவர்கள் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லையென்று, என்னுடைய கோபத்திலே ஆணையிட்டேன்.

Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.

லூக்கா அத்தியாயம் 13

பிலாத்து சில கலிலேயருடைய இரத்தத்தை அவர்களுடைய பலிகளோடே கலந்திருந்தான்; அந்த வேளையிலே அங்கே இருந்தவர்களில் சிலர் அந்தச் செய்தியை அவருக்கு அறிவித்தார்கள்.

There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.

இயேசு அவர்களுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: அந்தக் கலிலேயருக்கு அப்படிப்பட்டவைகள் சம்பவித்ததினாலே, மற்ற எல்லாக் கலிலேயரைப்பார்க்கிலும் அவர்கள் பாவிகளாயிருந்தார்களென்று நினைக்கிறீர்களோ?

And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

அப்படியல்லவென்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் மனந்திரும்பாமற்போனால் எல்லாரும் அப்படியே கெட்டுப்போவீர்கள்.

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

சீலோவாமிலே கோபுரம் விழுந்து பதினெட்டுப்பேரைக் கொன்றதே; எருசலேமில் குடியிருக்கிற மனுஷரெல்லாரிலும் அவர்கள் குற்றவாளிகளாயிருந்தார்களென்று நினைக்கிறீர்களோ?

Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?

அப்படியல்லவென்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்; நீங்கள் மனந்திரும்பாமற்போனால் எல்லாரும் அப்படியே கெட்டுப்போவீர்கள் என்றார்.

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

அப்பொழுது அவர் ஒரு உவமையையும் சொன்னார்: ஒருவன் தன் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்தில் ஒரு அத்திமரத்தை நட்டிருந்தான்; அவன் வந்து அதிலே கனியைத் தேடினபோது ஒன்றுங்காணவில்லை.

He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

அப்பொழுது அவன் தோட்டக்காரனை நோக்கி: இதோ, மூன்று வருஷமாய் இந்த அத்திமரத்திலே கனியைத் தேடிவருகிறேன்; ஒன்றையுங்காணவில்லை, இதை வெட்டிப்போடு, இது நிலத்தையும் ஏன் கெடுக்கிறது என்றான்.

Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

அதற்கு அவன்: ஐயா, இது இந்த வருஷமும் இருக்கட்டும்; நான் இதைச் சுற்றிலுங்கொத்தி, எருப்போடுவேன்,

And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

கனிகொடுத்தால் சரி, கொடாவிட்டால், இனிமேல் இதை வெட்டிப்போடலாம் என்று சொன்னான் என்றார்.

And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

ஒரு ஓய்வுநாளில் அவர் ஜெபஆலயத்தில் போதகம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டிருந்தார்.

And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

அப்பொழுது பதினெட்டுவருஷமாய்ப் பலவீனப்படுத்தும் ஆவியைக்கொண்ட ஒரு ஸ்திரீ அங்கேயிருந்தாள். அவள் எவ்வளவும் நிமிரக்கூடாத கூனியாயிருந்தாள்.

And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

இயேசு அவளைக் கண்டு, தம்மிடத்தில் அழைத்து: ஸ்திரீயே, உன் பலவீனத்தினின்று விடுதலையாக்கப்பட்டாய் என்று சொல்லி,

And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

அவள்மேல் தமது கைகளை வைத்தார்; உடனே அவள் நிமிர்ந்து, தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தினாள்.

And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

இயேசு ஓய்வுநாளிலே சொஸ்தமாக்கினபடியால், ஜெபஆலயத்தலைவன் கோபமடைந்து, ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: வேலைசெய்கிறதற்கு ஆறுநாள் உண்டே, அந்த நாட்களிலே நீங்கள் வந்து சொஸ்தமாக்கிக்கொள்ளுங்கள், ஓய்வுநாளிலே அப்படிச் செய்யலாகாது என்றான்.

And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.

கர்த்தர் அவனுக்குப் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: மாயக்காரனே, உங்களில் எவனும் ஓய்வுநாளில் தன் எருதையாவது தன் கழுதையையாவது தொழுவத்திலிருந்து அவிழ்த்துக்கொண்டுபோய், அதற்குத் தண்ணீர் காட்டுகிறதில்லையா?

The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?

இதோ, சாத்தான் பதினெட்டு வருஷமாய்க் கட்டியிருந்த ஆபிரகாமின் குமாரத்தியாகிய இவளை ஓய்வுநாளில் இந்தக் கட்டிலிருந்து அவிழ்த்துவிடவேண்டியதில்லையா என்றார்.

And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

அவர் அப்படிச் சொன்னபோது, அவரை விரோதித்திருந்த அனைவரும் வெட்கப்பட்டார்கள். ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அவரால் செய்யப்பட்ட சகல மகிமையான செய்கைகளைக்குறித்தும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்கள்.

And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் எதற்கொப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை எதற்கு ஒப்பிடுவேன்?

Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?

அது ஒரு கடுகுவிதைக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு மனுஷன் எடுத்துத் தன் தோட்டத்திலே போட்டான்; அது வளர்ந்து, பெரிய மரமாயிற்று; ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகள் வந்து, அதின் கிளைகளில் அடைந்தது என்றார்.

It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.

மேலும் அவர்: தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தை நான் எதற்கு ஒப்பிடுவேன்?

And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God?

அது புளித்தமாவுக்கு ஒப்பாயிருக்கிறது; அதை ஒரு ஸ்திரீ எடுத்து முழுவதும் புளிக்கும்வரைக்கும் மூன்றுபடிமாவிலே அடக்கிவைத்தாள் என்றார்.

It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

அவர் எருசலேமுக்குப் பிரயாணமாய்ப் போகும்போது, பட்டணங்கள்தோறும் கிராமங்கள்தோறும் உபதேசம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டுபோனார்.

And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.

அப்பொழுது ஒருவன் அவரை நோக்கி: ஆண்டவரே, இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறவர்கள் சிலபேர்தானோ என்று கேட்டான்; அதற்கு அவர்:

Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,

இடுக்கமான வாசல்வழியாய் உட்பிரவேசிக்கப் பிரயாசப்படுங்கள், அநேகர் உட்பிரவேசிக்க வகைதேடினாலும் அவர்களாலே கூடாமற்போகும் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

வீட்டெஜமான் எழுந்து, கதவைப் பூட்டினபின்பு, நீங்கள் வெளியே நின்று: ஆண்டவரே, ஆண்டவரே, எங்களுக்குத் திறக்கவேண்டுமென்று சொல்லிக் கதவைத் தட்டும்போது, அவர் பிரதியுத்தரமாக: நீங்கள் எவ்விடத்தாரோ, உங்களை அறியேன் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுவார்.

When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

அப்பொழுது நீங்கள்: உம்முடைய சமுகத்தில் போஜனபானம்பண்ணினோமே, நீர் எங்கள் வீதிகளில் போதகம்பண்ணினீரே என்று சொல்லுவீர்கள்.

Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

ஆனாலும் அவர்: நீங்கள் எவ்விடத்தாரோ, உங்களை அறியேன், அக்கிரமக்காரராகிய நீங்களெல்லாரும் என்னைவிட்டு அகன்றுபோங்கள் என்று சொல்லுவார் என்று உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

நீங்கள் ஆபிரகாமையும் ஈசாக்கையும் யாக்கோபையும் சகல தீர்க்கதரிசிகளையும் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்திலிருக்கிறவர்களாகவும், உங்களையோ புறம்பே தள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகவும் காணும்போது உங்களுக்கு அழுகையும் பற்கடிப்பும் அங்கே உண்டாயிருக்கும்.

There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

கிழக்கிலும் மேற்கிலும் வடக்கிலும் தெற்கிலும் இருந்த ஜனங்கள் வந்து, தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பந்தியிருப்பார்கள.

And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God.

அப்பொழுது முந்தினோர் பிந்தினோராவார்கள், பிந்தினோர் முந்தினோராவார்கள் என்றார்.

And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

அந்த நாளிலே சில பரிசேயர் அவரிடத்தில் வந்து: நீர் இவ்விடத்தை விட்டுப் போய்விடும்; ஏரோது உம்மைக் கொலைசெய்ய மனதாய் இருக்கிறான் என்றார்கள்.

The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.

அதற்கு அவர்: நான் இன்றைக்கும் நாளைக்கும் பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தி, வியாதியுள்ளவர்களைச் சொஸ்தமாக்கி, மூன்றாம் நாளில் நிறைவடைவேன்.

And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.

இன்றைக்கும் நாளைக்கும் மறுநாளைக்கும் நான் நடமாடவேண்டும்; எருசலேமுக்குப் புறம்பே ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசியும் மடிந்துபோகிறதில்லையென்று நான் சொன்னதாக நீங்கள் போய் அந்த நரிக்குச் சொல்லுங்கள்.

Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

எருசலேமே, எருசலேமே, தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக் கொலைசெய்து, உன்னிடத்தில் அனுப்பப்பட்டவர்களைக் கல்லெறிகிறவளே! கோழி தன் குஞ்சுகளைத் தன் சிறகுகளின் கீழே கூட்டிச் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ளும்வண்ணமாக நான் எத்தனைதரமோ உன் பிள்ளைகளைக் கூட்டிச் சேர்த்துக்கொள்ள மனதாயிருந்தேன்; உங்களுக்கோ மனதில்லாமற்போயிற்று.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

இதோ, உங்கள் வீடு உங்களுக்குப் பாழாக்கிவிடப்படும்; கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தினாலே வருகிறவர் ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கப்பட்டவர் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லுங்காலம் வருமளவும் என்னைக் காணாதிருப்பீர்கள் என்று மெய்யாகவே உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
