2நாளாகமம் அத்தியாயம் 20

இதற்குப்பின்பு மோவாப் புத்திரரும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரும், அவர்களோடே அம்மோனியருக்கு அப்புறத்திலுள்ள மனுஷருங்கூட யோசபாத்திற்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தம்பண்ண வந்தார்கள்.

It came to pass after this also, that the children of Moab, and the children of Ammon, and with them other beside the Ammonites, came against Jehoshaphat to battle.

சிலர் வந்து, யோசபாத்தை நோக்கி: உமக்கு விரோதமாய் ஏராளமான ஜனங்கள் கடலுக்கு அக்கரையிலிருக்கிற சீரியாவிலிருந்து வருகிறார்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் எங்கேதியாகிய ஆசாசோன் தாமாரில் இருக்கிறார்கள் என்று அறிவித்தார்கள்.

Then there came some that told Jehoshaphat, saying, There cometh a great multitude against thee from beyond the sea on this side Syria; and, behold, they be in Hazazontamar, which is Engedi.

அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் பயந்து, கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறதற்கு ஒருமுகப்பட்டு, யூதாவெங்கும் உபவாசத்தைக் கூறுவித்தான்.

And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.

அப்படியே யூதா ஜனங்கள் கர்த்தரிடத்திலே சகாயந்தேடக் கூடினார்கள்; யூதாவிலுள்ள எல்லாப் பட்டணங்களிலும் இருந்து அவர்கள் கர்த்தரைத் தேட வந்தார்கள்.

And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.

அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திலே புதுப்பிராகாரத்து முகப்பிலே, யூதா ஜனங்களும் எருசலேமியரும் கூடின சபையிலே நின்று:

And Jehoshaphat stood in the congregation of Judah and Jerusalem, in the house of the LORD, before the new court,

எங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிற நீர் அல்லவோ தேவன்; தேவரீர் ஜாதிகளுடைய ராஜ்யங்களையெல்லாம் ஆளுகிறவர்; உம்முடைய கரத்திலே வல்லமையும் பராக்கிரமமும் இருக்கிறது, ஒருவரும் உம்மோடு எதிர்த்து நிற்கக்கூடாது.

And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

எங்கள் தேவனாகிய நீர் உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு முன்பாக இந்த தேசத்துக் குடிகளைத் துரத்திவிட்டு இதை உம்முடைய சிநேகிதனாகிய ஆபிரகாமுடைய சந்ததிக்கு என்றைக்குமென்று கொடுக்கவில்லையா?

Art not thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the seed of Abraham thy friend for ever?

ஆதலால் அவர்கள் இங்கே குடியிருந்து, இதிலே உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கென்று ஒரு பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைக் கட்டினார்கள்.

And they dwelt therein, and have built thee a sanctuary therein for thy name, saying,

எங்கள்மேல் பட்டயம், நியாயதண்டனை, கொள்ளைநோய், பஞ்சம் முதலான தீமைகள் வந்தால், அப்பொழுது உம்முடைய நாமம் இந்த ஆலயத்தில் விளங்குகிறபடியால், நாங்கள் இந்த ஆலயத்திலும் உமது சந்நிதியிலும் வந்து நின்று, எங்கள் இடுக்கணில் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகையில், தேவரீர் கேட்டு இரட்சிப்பீர் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.

இப்போதும், இதோ, இஸ்ரவேலர் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து வருகிறபோது, அம்மோன் புத்திரர், மோவாபியர், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசத்தாருடைய சீமைகள் வழியாய்ப் போக நீர் உத்தரவு கொடுக்கவில்லை; ஆகையால் அவர்களை விட்டு விலகி, அவர்களை நாசப்படுத்தாதிருந்தார்கள்.

And now, behold, the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir, whom thou wouldest not let Israel invade, when they came out of the land of Egypt, but they turned from them, and destroyed them not;

Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit.

O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.

யூதா கோத்திரத்தார் அனைவரும், அவர்கள் குழந்தைகளும், அவர்கள் பெண்ஜாதிகளும், அவர்கள் குமாரருங்கூட கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக நின்றார்கள்.

And all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children.

அப்பொழுது சபையின் நடுவிலிருக்கிற மத்தனியாவின் குமாரனாகிய ஏயெலின் மகனான பெனாயாவுக்குப் பிறந்த சகரியாவின் புத்திரன் யகாசியேல் என்னும் ஆசாப்பின் புத்திரரில் ஒருவனான லேவியன்மேல் கர்த்தருடைய ஆவி இறங்கினதினால் அவன் சொன்னது:

Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the LORD in the midst of the congregation;

சகல யூதா கோத்திரத்தாரே, எருசலேமின் குடிகளே, ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தே, கேளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் அந்த ஏராளமான கூட்டத்திற்குப் பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இருங்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறார்; இந்த யுத்தம் உங்களுடையதல்ல, தேவனுடையது.

And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's.

நாளைக்கு நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போங்கள்; இதோ, அவர்கள் சிஸ் என்னும் மேட்டுவழியாய் வருகிறார்கள்; நீங்கள் அவர்களை யெருவேல் வனாந்தரத்திற்கு எதிரான பள்ளத்தாக்கின் கடையாந்தரத்திலே கண்டு சந்திப்பீர்கள்.

To morrow go ye down against them: behold, they come up by the cliff of Ziz; and ye shall find them at the end of the brook, before the wilderness of Jeruel.

இந்த யுத்தத்தைப் பண்ணுகிறவர்கள் நீங்கள் அல்ல; யூதா மனுஷரே, எருசலேம் ஜனங்களே, நீங்கள் தரித்து நின்று கர்த்தர் உங்களுக்குச் செய்யும் இரட்சிப்பைப் பாருங்கள்; பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இருங்கள்; நாளைக்கு அவர்களுக்கு எதிராகப் புறப்படுங்கள; கர்த்தர் உங்களோடே இருக்கிறார் என்றான்.

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

அப்பொழுது யோசபாத் தரைமட்டும் முகங்குனிந்தான்; சகல யூதா கோத்திரத்தாரும் எருசலேமின் குடிகளும் கர்த்தரைப் பணிந்துகொள்ளக் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் தாழவிழுந்தார்கள்.

And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

கோகாத்தியரின் புத்திரரிலும் கோராகியரின் புத்திரரிலும் இருந்த லேவியர் எழுந்திருந்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை மகா சத்தத்தோடே கெம்பீரமாய்த் துதித்தார்கள்.

And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high.

அவர்கள் அதிகாலமே எழுந்திருந்து, தெக்கொவாவின் வனாந்தரத்திற்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டார்கள்; புறப்படுகையில் யோசபாத் நின்று: யூதாவே, எருசலேமின் குடிகளே, கேளுங்கள்; உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை நம்புங்கள், அப்பொழுது நிலைப்படுவீர்கள்; அவருடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை நம்புங்கள், அப்பொழுது சித்திபெறுவீர்கள் என்றான்.

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

பின்பு அவன் ஜனத்தோடே ஆலோசனைபண்ணி, பரிசுத்தமுள்ள மகத்துவத்தைத் துதிக்கவும், ஆயுதம் அணிந்தவர்களுக்கு முன்னாக நடந்துபோய், கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள், அவர் கிருபை என்றும் உள்ளதென்று கர்த்தரைப் பாடவும், பாடகரை நிறுத்தினான்.

And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.

அவர்கள் பாடித் துதிசெய்யத் தொடங்கினபோது, யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாய் வந்து பதிவிருந்த அம்மோன் புத்திரரையும், மோவாபியரையும், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசத்தாரையும், ஒருவருக்கு விரோதமாய் ஒருவரைக் கர்த்தர் எழும்பப்பண்ணினதினால் அவர்கள் வெட்டுண்டு விழுந்தார்கள்.

And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

எப்படியெனில், அம்மோன் புத்திரரும் மோவாபியரும், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசக்குடிகளைச் சங்கரிக்கவும் அழிக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பினார்கள்; சேயீர் குடிகளை அழித்துத் தீர்ந்தபோது, தாங்களும் தங்களில் ஒருவரையொருவர் அழிக்கத்தக்கவிதமாய்க் கைகலந்தார்கள்.

For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.

யூதா மனுஷர் வனாந்தரத்திலுள்ள சாமக்கூட்டண்டையிலே வந்து, அந்த ஏராளமான கூட்டமிருக்கும் திக்கை நோக்குகிறபோது, இதோ, அவர்கள் தரையிலே விழுந்துகிடக்கிற பிரேதங்களாகக் கண்டார்கள்; ஒருவரும் தப்பவில்லை.

And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.

யோசபாத்தும் அவனுடைய ஜனங்களும் அவர்கள் உடைமைகளைக் கொள்ளையிட வந்தபோது, அவர்கள் கண்ட ஏராளமான பொருள்களும் பிரேதங்களிலிருந்து உரிந்துபோட்ட ஆடை ஆபரணங்களும், தாங்கள் எடுத்துக்கொண்டு போகக்கூடாதிருந்தது; மூன்று நாளாய்க் கொள்ளையிட்டார்கள்; அது அவ்வளவு மிகுதியாயிருந்தது.

And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

நாலாம் நாளில் பெராக்காவிலே கூடினார்கள்; அங்கே கர்த்தருக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் செலுத்தினார்கள்; ஆதலால் அவ்விடத்திற்கு இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறபடி பெராக்கா என்னும் பேர் தரித்தார்கள்.

And on the fourth day they assembled themselves in the valley of Berachah; for there they blessed the LORD: therefore the name of the same place was called, The valley of Berachah, unto this day.

பின்பு கர்த்தர் அவர்களை அவர்கள் சத்துருக்கள்பேரில் களிகூரச் செய்தபடியால் யூதா மனுஷர் யாவரும் எருசலேம் ஜனங்களும், அவர்களுக்கு முன்னாலே யோசபாத்தும் மகிழ்ச்சியோடே எருசலேமுக்குத் திரும்பினார்கள்.

Then they returned, every man of Judah and Jerusalem, and Jehoshaphat in the forefront of them, to go again to Jerusalem with joy; for the LORD had made them to rejoice over their enemies.

அவர்கள் தம்புருகளோடும் சுரமண்டலங்களோடும் பூரிகைகளோடும் எருசலேமிலிருக்கிற கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு வந்தார்கள்.

And they came to Jerusalem with psalteries and harps and trumpets unto the house of the LORD.

கர்த்தர் இஸ்ரவேலின் சத்துருக்களோடு யுத்தம்பண்ணினார் என்று கேள்விப்பட்ட அந்தந்த தேசத்து ராஜ்யத்தார்மேல் தேவனால் உண்டான பயங்கரம் வந்தது.

And the fear of God was on all the kingdoms of those countries, when they had heard that the LORD fought against the enemies of Israel.

இவ்விதமாய் தேவன் சுற்றுப்புறத்தாரால் யுத்தமில்லாத இளைப்பாறுதலை அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதினால், யோசபாத்தின் ராஜ்யபாரம் அமரிக்கையாயிருந்தது.

So the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet: for his God gave him rest round about.

யோசபாத் யூதாவை அரசாண்டான்; அவன் ராஜாவாகிறபோது, முப்பத்தைந்து வயதாயிருந்து, இருபத்தைந்து வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்; சில்கியின் குமாரத்தியாகிய அவனுடைய தாயின் பேர் அசுபாள்.

And Jehoshaphat reigned over Judah: he was thirty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Azubah the daughter of Shilhi.

அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய ஆசாவின் வழியிலே நடந்து, அதைவிட்டு விலகாதிருந்து, கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்.

And he walked in the way of Asa his father, and departed not from it, doing that which was right in the sight of the LORD.

ஆனாலும் மேடைகள் தகர்க்கப்படவில்லை; ஜனங்கள் தங்கள் இருதயத்தைத் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனுக்கு இன்னும் நேராக்காதிருந்தார்கள்.

Howbeit the high places were not taken away: for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts unto the God of their fathers.

யோசபாத்தின் ஆதியந்தமான மற்ற வர்த்தமானங்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் புஸ்தகத்தில் கண்டிருக்கிற ஆனானியின் குமாரனாகிய யெகூவின் வசனங்களில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

Now the rest of the acts of Jehoshaphat, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Jehu the son of Hanani, who is mentioned in the book of the kings of Israel.

அதற்குப்பின்பு யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத் பொல்லாப்புச் செய்கிறவனான அகசியா என்னும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவோடே தோழமைபண்ணினான்.

And after this did Jehoshaphat king of Judah join himself with Ahaziah king of Israel, who did very wickedly:

தர்ஷீசுக்குப் போகும்படிக்குக் கப்பல்களைச் செய்ய அவனோடே கூடிக்கொண்டான்; அப்படியே எசியோன்கேபேரிலே கப்பல்களைச் செய்தார்கள்.

And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongeber.

மரேசா ஊரானாகிய தொதாவாவின் குமாரனான எலியேசர் யோசபாத்துக்கு விரோதமாகத் தீர்க்கதரிசனம் சொல்லி: நீர் அகசியாவோடே கூடிக்கொண்டபடியினால், கர்த்தர் உம்முடைய கிரியைகளை முறித்துப்போட்டார் என்றான்; அந்தக் கப்பல்கள் உடைந்துபோயிற்று, அவர்கள் தர்ஷீசுக்குப் போகக்கூடாமற்போயிற்று.

Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.

யோசபாத் தன் பிதாக்களோடே நித்திரையடைந்து, தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் தன் பிதாக்களண்டையிலே அடக்கம்பண்ணப்பட்டான்; அவன் ஸ்தானத்தில் அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோராம் ராஜாவானான்.

Now Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.

அவனுக்கு யோசபாத்தின் குமாரராகிய அசரியா, ஏகியேல், சகரியா, அசரியா, மிகாவேல், செப்பத்தியா என்னும் சகோதரர் இருந்தார்கள்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யோசபாத்தின் குமாரர்.

And he had brethren the sons of Jehoshaphat, Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were the sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.

அவர்களுடைய தகப்பன் வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் உச்சிதங்களுமான அநேகம் நன்கொடைகளையும், யூதாவிலே அரணான பட்டணங்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான்; யோராம் சேஷ்டபுத்திரனானபடியினால், அவனுக்கு ராஜ்யத்தைக் கொடுத்தான்.

And their father gave them great gifts of silver, and of gold, and of precious things, with fenced cities in Judah: but the kingdom gave he to Jehoram; because he was the firstborn.

யோராம் தன் தகப்பனுடைய ராஜ்யபாரத்திற்கு வந்து தன்னைப் பலப்படுத்திக்கொண்டபின்பு, அவன் தன்னுடைய சகோதரர் எல்லாரையும் இஸ்ரவேலின் பிரபுக்களில் சிலரையும் பட்டயத்தால் கொன்றுபோட்டான்.

Now when Jehoram was risen up to the kingdom of his father, he strengthened himself, and slew all his brethren with the sword, and divers also of the princes of Israel.

யோராம் ராஜாவாகிறபோது, முப்பத்திரண்டு வயதாயிருந்து, எட்டு வருஷம் எருசலேமில் அரசாண்டான்.

Jehoram was thirty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.

அவன் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் வழியிலே நடந்து, ஆகாபின் வீட்டார் செய்ததுபோலச் செய்தான்; ஆகாபின் குமாரத்தி அவனுக்கு மனைவியாயிருந்தாள்; அவன் கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்தான்.

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, like as did the house of Ahab: for he had the daughter of Ahab to wife: and he wrought that which was evil in the eyes of the LORD.

கர்த்தர் தாவீதுக்கும் அவன் குமாரருக்கும் என்றென்றைக்கும் ஒரு விளக்கைக் கட்டளையிடுவேன் என்று சொல்லி, அவனோடே பண்ணின உடன்படிக்கையினிமித்தம் தாவீதின் வம்சத்தை அழிக்கச் சித்தமில்லாதிருந்தார்.

Howbeit the LORD would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he promised to give a light to him and to his sons for ever.

அவன் நாட்களில் யூதாவுடைய கையின்கீழிருந்த ஏதோமியர் கலகம்பண்ணி, தங்களுக்கு ஒரு ராஜாவை ஏற்படுத்திக்கொண்டார்கள்.

In his days the Edomites revolted from under the dominion of Judah, and made themselves a king.

அதினால் யோராம் தன் பிரபுக்களோடும் தன் சகல இரதங்களோடும் புறப்பட்டுப்போனான்; அவன் இராத்திரியில் எழுந்திருந்து, தன்னை வளைந்துகொண்ட ஏதோமியரையும் இரதங்களின் தலைவரையும் முறிய அடித்தான்.

Then Jehoram went forth with his princes, and all his chariots with him: and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites which compassed him in, and the captains of the chariots.

ஆகிலும் யூதாவுடைய கையின் கீழிருந்த ஏதோமியர் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறதுபோல, கலகம் பண்ணிப் பிரிந்தார்கள்; அவன் தன் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டபடியினால், அக்காலத்திலே லீப்னா பட்டணத்தாரும் கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

So the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. The same time also did Libnah revolt from under his hand; because he had forsaken the LORD God of his fathers.

அவன் யூதாவுடைய மலைகளின்மேல் மேடைகளை உண்டாக்கி, எருசலேமின் குடிகளைச் சோரம்போகப்பண்ணி, யூதாவையும் அதற்கு ஏவிவிட்டான்.

Moreover he made high places in the mountains of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah thereto.

அப்பொழுது தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய எலியா எழுதின ஒரு நிருபம் அவனிடத்திற்கு வந்தது; அதில்: உம்முடைய தகப்பனான தாவீதின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், நீ உன் தகப்பனாகிய யோசபாத்தின் வழிகளிலும், யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் வழிகளிலும் நடவாமல்,

And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,

But hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren of thy father's house, which were better than thyself:

இதோ, கர்த்தர் உன் ஜனத்தையும், உன் பிள்ளைகளையும், உன் மனைவிகளையும், உனக்கு உண்டான எல்லாவற்றையும் மகா வாதையாக வாதிப்பார்.

Behold, with a great plague will the LORD smite thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy goods:

நீயோ உனக்கு உண்டாகும் குடல் நோயினால் உன் குடல்கள் நாளுக்கு நாள் இற்று விழுமட்டும் கொடிய வியாதியினால் வாதிக்கப்படுவாய் என்று எழுதியிருந்தது.

And thou shalt have great sickness by disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.

அப்படியே கர்த்தர் பெலிஸ்தரின் ஆவியையும், எத்தியோப்பியாவுக்கடுத்த தேசத்தாரான அரபியரின் ஆவியையும் யோராமுக்கு விரோதமாக எழுப்பினார்.

Moreover the LORD stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, that were near the Ethiopians:

அவர்கள் யூதாவில் வந்து, பலாத்காரமாய்ப் புகுந்து, ராஜாவின் அரமனையில் அகப்பட்ட எல்லாப் பொருள்களையும், அவன் பிள்ளைகளையும், அவன் மனைவிகளையும் பிடித்துக்கொண்டுபோனார்கள்; யோவாகாஸ் என்னும் அவன் குமாரரில் இளையவனை அல்லாமல் ஒரு குமாரனும் அவனுக்கு மீதியாக வைக்கப்படவில்லை.

And they came up into Judah, and brake into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was never a son left him, save Jehoahaz, the youngest of his sons.

And after all this the LORD smote him in his bowels with an incurable disease.

அப்படி நாளுக்குநாள் இருந்து, இரண்டு வருஷம் முடிகிற காலத்தில் அவனுக்கு உண்டான நோயினால் அவன் குடல்கள் சரிந்து கொடிய வியாதியினால் செத்துப்போனான்; அவனுடைய பிதாக்களுக்காகக் கந்தவர்க்கங்களைக் கொளுத்தினதுபோல், அவனுடைய ஜனங்கள் அவனுக்காகக் கொளுத்தவில்லை.

And it came to pass, that in process of time, after the end of two years, his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness: so he died of sore diseases. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.

Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

யோவானாகிய நான், புதிய எருசலேமாகிய பரிசுத்த நகரத்தை தேவனிடத்தினின்று பரலோகத்தைவிட்டு இறங்கி வரக்கண்டேன்; அது தன் புருஷனுக்காக அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்ட மணவாட்டியைப் போல ஆயத்தமாக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

மேலும், பரலோகத்திலிருந்து உண்டான ஒரு பெருஞ்சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டேன்; அது: இதோ, மனுஷர்களிடத்திலே தேவனுடைய வாசஸ்தலமிருக்கிறது, அவர்களிடத்திலே அவர் வாசமாயிருப்பார்; அவர்களும் அவருடைய ஜனங்களாயிருப்பார்கள், தேவன்தாமே அவர்களோடேகூட இருந்து அவர்களுடைய தேவனாயிருப்பார்.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

அவர்களுடைய கண்ணீர் யாவையும் தேவன் துடைப்பார்; இனி மரணமுமில்லை, துக்கமுமில்லை, அலறுதலுமில்லை, வருத்தமுமில்லை; முந்தினவைகள் ஒழிந்துபோயின என்று விளம்பினது.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் வீற்றிருந்தவர்: இதோ, நான் சகலத்தையும் புதிதாத்குகிறேன் என்றார். பின்னும் அவர்: இந்த வசனங்கள் சத்தியமும் உண்மையுமானவைகள், இவைகளை எழுது என்றார்.

And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

ஜெயங்கொள்ளுகிறவன் எல்லாவற்றையும் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவான்; நான் அவன் தேவனாயிருப்பேன், அவன் என் குமாரனாயிருப்பான்.

He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

பயப்படுகிறவர்களும், அவிசுவாசிகளும், அருவருப்பானவர்களும், கொலைபாதகரும், விபசாரக்காரரும், சூனியக்காரரும், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரரும், பொய்யர் அனைவரும் இரண்டாம் மரணமாகிய அக்கினியும் கந்தகமும் எரிகிற கடலிலே பங்கடைவார்கள் என்றார்.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

பின்பு, கடைசியான ஏழு வாதைகளால் நிறைந்த ஏழு கலசங்களையுடைய அந்த ஏழு தூதரில் ஒருவன் என்னிடத்தில் வந்து: நீ இங்கே வா, ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருடைய மனைவியாகிய மணவாட்டியை உனக்குக் காண்பிக்கிறேன் என்று சொல்லி,

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

பெரிதும் உயரமுமான ஒரு பர்வதத்தின்மேல் என்னை ஆவியில் கொண்டுபோய், தேவனுடைய மகிமையை அடைந்த எருசலேமாகிய பரிசுத்த நகரம் பரலோகத்தைவிட்டு தேவனிடத்திலிருந்து இறங்கிவருகிறதை எனக்குக் காண்பித்தான்.

And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

அதின் பிரகாசம் மிகவும் விலையுயர்ந்த இரத்தினக்கல்லைப்போலவும், பளிங்கினொளியுள்ள வச்சிரக்கல்லைப்போலவும் இருந்தது.

Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

அதற்குப் பெரிதும் உயரமுமான மதிலும், கிழக்கே மூன்று வாசல்கள், வடக்கே மூன்று வாசல்கள், தெற்கே மூன்று வாசல்கள், மேற்கே மூன்று வாசல்கள் ஆகப் பன்னிரண்டு வாசல்களும் இருந்தன.

And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

வாசல்களின் அருகே பன்னிரண்டு தூதர்களிருந்தார்கள்; அந்த வாசல்களின்மேல் இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியாராகிய பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரத்தாருடைய நாமங்களும் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்தன.

On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

அதின் மதில் வச்சிரக்கல்லால் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்தது; நகரம் தெளிந்த பளிங்குக்கு ஒப்பான சுத்தப்பொன்னாயிருந்தது.

And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

நகரத்து மதில்களின் அஸ்திபாரங்கள் சகலவித இரத்தினங்களினாலும் அலங்கரிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன; முதலாம் அஸ்திபாரம் வச்சிரக்கல், இரண்டாவது இந்திரநீலம், மூன்றாவது சந்திரகாந்தம், நான்காவது மரகதம்,

And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

ஐந்தாவது கோமேதகம், ஆறாவது பதுமராகம், ஏழாவது சுவர்ணரத்தினம், எட்டாவது படிகப்பச்சை, ஒன்பதாவது புஷ்பராகம், பத்தாவது வைடூரியம், பதினோராவது சுநீரம், பன்னிரண்டாவது சுகந்தி இவைகளே.

The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

பன்னிரண்டு வாசல்களும் பன்னிரண்டு முத்துக்களாயிருந்தன; ஒவ்வொரு வாசலும் ஒவ்வொரு முத்தாயிருந்தது. நகரத்தின் வீதி தெளிவுள்ள பளிங்குபோலச் சுத்தப்பொன்னாயிருந்தது.

And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

அதிலே தேவாலயத்தை நான் காணவில்லை; சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருமே அதற்கு ஆலயம்.

And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

நகரத்திற்கு வெளிச்சங்கொடுக்கச் சூரியனும் சந்திரனும் அதற்கு வேண்டுவதில்லை; தேவனுடைய மகிமையே அதைப் பிரகாசிப்பித்தது, ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவரே அதற்கு விளக்கு.

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிற ஜனங்கள் அதின் வெளிச்சத்திலே நடப்பார்கள். பூமியின் ராஜாக்கள் தங்கள் மகிமையையும் கனத்தையும் அதற்குள்ளே கொண்டுவருவார்கள்.

And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

அங்கே இராக்காலம் இல்லாதபடியால், அதின் வாசல்கள் பகலில் அடைக்கப்படுவதே இல்லை.

And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

உலகத்தாருடைய மகிமையையும் கனத்தையும் அதற்குள்ளே கொண்டுவருவார்கள்.

And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

தீட்டுள்ளதும் அருவருப்பையும் பொய்யையும் நடப்பிக்கிறதுமாகிய ஒன்றும் அதில் பிரவேசிப்பதில்லை; ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவரின் ஜீவபுஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டவர்கள் மாத்திரம் அதில் பிரவேசிப்பார்கள்.

And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

நகரத்து வீதியின் மத்தியிலும், நதியின் இருகரையிலும், பன்னிரண்டு விதமான கனிகளைத்தரும் ஜீவவிருட்சம் இருந்தது, அது மாதந்தோறும் தன் கனியைக் கொடுக்கும்; அந்த விருட்சத்தின் இலைகள் ஜனங்கள் ஆரோக்கியமடைகிறதற்கு ஏதுவானவைகள்.

In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

இனி ஒரு சாபமுமிராது. தேவனும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவரும் இருக்கிற சிங்காசனம் அதிலிருக்கும்.

And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

அவருடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அவரைச் சேவித்து, அவருடைய சமுகத்தைத் தரிசிப்பார்கள்; அவருடைய நாமம் அவர்களுடைய நெற்றிகளில் இருக்கும்.

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

அங்கே இராக்காலமிராது; விளக்கும் சூரியனுடைய வெளிச்சமும் அவர்களுக்கு வேண்டுவதில்லை; தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரே அவர்கள்மேல் பிரகாசிப்பார். அவர்கள் சதாகாலங்களிலும் அரசாளுவார்கள்.

And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

இதோ, சீக்கிரமாய் வருகிறேன்; இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்திலுள்ள தீர்க்கதரிசன வசனங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவன் பாக்கியவான் என்றார்.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

யோவானாகிய நானே இவைகளைக் கண்டும் கேட்டும் இருந்தேன். நான் கேட்டுக் கண்டபோது, இவைகளை எனக்குக் காண்பித்த தூதனை வணங்கும்படி அவன் பாதத்தில் விழுந்தேன்.

And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

அதற்கு அவன்: நீ இப்படிச் செய்யாதபடிக்குப் பார்; உன்னோடும் உன் சகோதரரோடும் தீர்க்கதரிசிகளோடும், இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தின் வசனங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களோடுங்கூட நானும் ஒரு ஊழியக்காரன்; தேவனைத் தொழுதுகொள் என்றான்.

Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

பின்னும், அவர் என்னை நோக்கி: இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்திலுள்ள தீர்க்கதரிசன வசனங்களை முத்திரை போடவேண்டாம்; காலம் சமீபமாயிருக்கிறது.

And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

அநியாயஞ்செய்கிறவன் இன்னும் அநியாயஞ்செய்யட்டும்; அசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறவன் இன்னும் அசுத்தமாயிருக்கட்டும்; நீதியுள்ளவன் இன்னும் நீதிசெய்யட்டும்; பரிசுத்தமுள்ளவன் இன்னும் பரிசுத்தமாகட்டும்.

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

இதோ, சீக்கிரமாய் வருகிறேன்; அவனவனுடைய கிரியைகளின்படி அவனவனுக்கு நான் அளிக்கும் பலன் என்னோடேகூட வருகிறது.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

நான் அல்பாவும் ஒமெகாவும், ஆதியும் அந்தமும், முந்தினவரும் பிந்தினவருமாயிருக்கிறேன்.

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

ஜீவவிருட்சத்தின்மேல் அதிகாரமுள்ளவர்களாவதற்கும், வாசல்கள் வழியாய் நகரத்திற்குள் பிரவேசிப்பதற்கும் அவருடைய கற்பனைகளின்படி செய்கிறவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

நாய்களும், சூனியக்காரரும், விபசாரக்காரரும், கொலைபாதகரும், விக்கிரகாராதனைக்காரரும், பொய்யை விரும்பி அதின்படி செய்கிற யாவரும் புறம்பே இருப்பார்கள்.

For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

சபைகளில் இவைகளை உங்களுக்குச் சாட்சியாக அறிவிக்கும்படிக்கு இயேசுவாகிய நான் என் தூதனை அனுப்பினேன். நான் தாவீதின் வேரும் சந்ததியும், பிரகாசமுள்ள விடிவெள்ளி நட்சத்திரமுமாயிருக்கிறேன் என்றார்.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

ஆவியும் மணவாட்டியும் வா என்கிறார்கள்; கேட்கிறவனும் வா என்பானாக; தாகமாயிருக்கிறவன் வரக்கடவன்; விருப்பமுள்ளவன் ஜீவத்தண்ணீரை இலவசமாய் வாங்கிக்கொள்ளக்கடவன்.

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்திலுள்ள தீர்க்கதரிசன வசனங்களைக் கேட்கிற யாவருக்கும் நான் சாட்சியாக எச்சரிக்கிறதாவது: ஒருவன் இவைகளோடே எதையாகிலும் கூட்டினால், இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிற வாதைகளை தேவன் அவன்மேல் கூட்டுவார்.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

ஒருவன் இந்தத் தீர்க்கதரிசன புஸ்தகத்தின் வசனங்களிலிருந்து எதையாகிலும் எடுத்துப்போட்டால், ஜீவபுஸ்தகத்திலிருந்தும், பரிசுத்த நகரத்திலிருந்தும், இந்தப் புஸ்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டவைகளிலிருந்தும், அவனுடைய பங்கை தேவன் எடுத்துப்போடுவார்.

And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

இவைகளைச் சாட்சியாக அறிவிக்கிறவர்: மெய்யாகவே நான் சீக்கிரமாய் வருகிறேன் என்கிறார். ஆமென், கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுவே, வாரும்.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் கிருபை உங்கள் அனைவரோடுங்கூட இருப்பதாக. ஆமென்.
