1நாளாகமம் அத்தியாயம் 7

இசக்காருடைய குமாரர், தோலா, பூவா, யசுப், சிம்ரோன் என்னும் நாலு பேர்.

Now the sons of Issachar were, Tola, and Puah, Jashub, and Shimron, four.

தோலாவின் குமாரர், ஊசி, ரெப்பாயா, யெரியேல், யக்மாயி, இப்சாம், சாமுவேல் என்பவர்கள்; தோலாவுக்குப் பிறந்த இவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்கள் வம்சத்தலைவரும் தங்கள் சந்ததிகளிலே பராக்கிரமசாலிகளுமாயிருந்தார்கள்; தாவீதின் நாட்களில் அவர்கள் தொகை இருபதினாயிரத்து அறுநூறு பேராயிருந்தது.

And the sons of Tola; Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their father's house, to wit, of Tola: they were valiant men of might in their generations; whose number was in the days of David two and twenty thousand and six hundred.

ஊசியின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் இஸ்ரகியா; இஸ்ரகியாவின் குமாரர், மிகாயேல், ஒபதியா, யோவேல், இஷியா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் ஐந்துபேரும் தலைவராயிருந்தார்கள்.

And the sons of Uzzi; Izrahiah: and the sons of Izrahiah; Michael, and Obadiah, and Joel, Ishiah, five: all of them chief men.

And with them, by their generations, after the house of their fathers, were bands of soldiers for war, six and thirty thousand men: for they had many wives and sons.

And their brethren among all the families of Issachar were valiant men of might, reckoned in all by their genealogies fourscore and seven thousand.

The sons of Benjamin; Bela, and Becher, and Jediael, three.

பேலாவின் குமாரர், எஸ்போன், ஊசி, ஊசியேல், யெரிமோத், இரி என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தில் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளான ஐந்து தலைவராயிருந்தார்கள்; இவர்கள் வம்ச அட்டவணைக்குள்ளானவர்கள் இருபத்தீராயிரத்து முப்பத்துநாலுபேர்.

And the sons of Bela; Ezbon, and Uzzi, and Uzziel, and Jerimoth, and Iri, five; heads of the house of their fathers, mighty men of valour; and were reckoned by their genealogies twenty and two thousand and thirty and four.

பெகேரின் குமாரர், செமிரா, யோவாஸ், எலியேசர், எலியோனாய், உம்ரி, யெரிமோத், அபியா, ஆனதோத், அலமேத் என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் பெகேரின் குமாரர்.

And the sons of Becher; Zemira, and Joash, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Omri, and Jerimoth, and Abiah, and Anathoth, and Alameth. All these are the sons of Becher.

தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தலைவராகிய அவர்கள் சந்ததிகளின் அட்டவணைக்குள்ளான பராக்கிரமசாலிகள் இருபதினாயிரத்து இருநூறுபேர்.

And the number of them, after their genealogy by their generations, heads of the house of their fathers, mighty men of valour, was twenty thousand and two hundred.

யெதியாயேலின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் பில்கான்; பில்கானின் குமாரர், ஏயூஷ், பென்யமீன், ஏகூத், கெனானா, சேத்தான், தர்ஷீஸ், அகிஷாகார் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons also of Jediael; Bilhan: and the sons of Bilhan; Jeush, and Benjamin, and Ehud, and Chenaanah, and Zethan, and Tharshish, and Ahishahar.

யெதியாயேலின் குமாரராகிய இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் தங்கள் பிதாக்கள் வம்சத்தாரில் தலைவராயிருந்தார்கள்; இவர்களில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போகத்தக்க சேவகரான பராக்கிரமசாலிகள் பதினேழாயிரத்து இருநூறுபேர்.

All these the sons of Jediael, by the heads of their fathers, mighty men of valour, were seventeen thousand and two hundred soldiers, fit to go out for war and battle.

சுப்பீமும், உப்பீமும் ஈரின் குமாரர், ஊசிம் ஆகேரின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன்.

Shuppim also, and Huppim, the children of Ir, and Hushim, the sons of Aher.

நப்தலியின் குமாரரான பில்காளின் பேரன்மார், யாத்தியேல், கூனி, எத்சேர், சல்லூம் என்பவர்கள்.

The sons of Naphtali; Jahziel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shallum, the sons of Bilhah.

மனாசேயின் புத்திரரில் ஒருவன் குலஸ்திரீயினிடத்தில் பிறந்த அஸ்ரியேல்; அவன் மறுமனையாட்டியாகிய அராமிய ஸ்திரீயினிடத்தில் கீலேயாத்தின் தகப்பனாகிய மாகீர் பிறந்தான்.

The sons of Manasseh; Ashriel, whom she bare: (but his concubine the Aramitess bare Machir the father of Gilead:

மாகீர் மாக்காள் என்னும் பேருள்ள உப்பீம் சுப்பீம் என்பவர்களின் சகோதரியை விவாகம் பண்ணினான்; மனாசேயின் இரண்டாம் குமாரன் செலோப்பியாத்; செலோப்பியாத்திற்குக் குமாரத்திகள் இருந்தார்கள்.

And Machir took to wife the sister of Huppim and Shuppim, whose sister's name was Maachah;) and the name of the second was Zelophehad: and Zelophehad had daughters.

மாகீரின் பெண்ஜாதியாகிய மாக்காள் ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெற்று, அவனுக்குப் பேரேஸ் என்று பேரிட்டாள்; இவன் சகோதரன் பேர் சேரேஸ்; இவனுடைய குமாரர் ஊலாம், ரேகேம் என்பவர்கள்.

And Maachah the wife of Machir bare a son, and she called his name Peresh; and the name of his brother was Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.

ஊலாமின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் பேதான்; இவர்கள் மனாசேயின் குமாரனாகிய மாகீருக்குப் பிறந்த கீலேயாத் புத்திரர்.

And the sons of Ulam; Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.

இவன் சகோதரியாகிய அம்மொளெகேத் இஸ்கோதையும் அபியேசரையும் மாகலாவையும் பெற்றாள்.

And his sister Hammoleketh bare Ishod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah.

செமிதாவின் குமாரர், அகியான், சேகேம், லிக்கே, அனியாம் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Shemida were, Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam.

எப்பிராயீமின் குமாரரில் ஒருவன் சுத்தெலாக்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் பேரேத்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் தாகாத்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் எலாதா; இவனுடைய குமாரன் தாகாத்.

And the sons of Ephraim; Shuthelah, and Bered his son, and Tahath his son, and Eladah his son, and Tahath his son,

இவனுடைய குமாரன் சாபாத்; இவனுடைய குமாரர் சுத்தெலாக், எத்சேர், எலியாத்; இவர்கள் தேசத்தில் பிறந்த காத்தூராருடைய ஆடுமாடுகளைப் பிடிக்கப்போனபடியால் அவர்கள் இவர்களைக் கொன்றுபோட்டார்கள்.

And Zabad his son, and Shuthelah his son, and Ezer, and Elead, whom the men of Gath that were born in that land slew, because they came down to take away their cattle.

And Ephraim their father mourned many days, and his brethren came to comfort him.

And Rephah was his son, also Resheph, and Telah his son, and Tahan his son,

Laadan his son, Ammihud his son, Elishama his son,

இவனுடைய குமாரன் நூன்; இவனுடைய குமாரன் யோசுவா.

Non his son, Jehoshua his son.

அவர்களுடைய காணியாட்சியும், வாசஸ்தலங்களும், கிழக்கேயிருக்கிற நாரானும், மேற்கேயிருக்கிற கேசேரும் அதின் கிராமங்களும், பெத்தேலும் அதின் கிராமங்களும், சீகேமும் அதின் கிராமங்களும், காசாமட்டுக்குமுள்ள அதின் கிராமங்களும்,

And their possessions and habitations were, Bethel and the towns thereof, and eastward Naaran, and westward Gezer, with the towns thereof; Shechem also and the towns thereof, unto Gaza and the towns thereof:

மனாசே புத்திரரின் பக்கத்திலே பெத்செயானும் அதின் கிராமங்களும், தானாகும் அதின் கிராமங்களும், மெகிதோவும் அதின் கிராமங்களும், தோரும் அதின் கிராமங்களுமே; இவ்விடங்களில் இஸ்ரவேலின் குமாரனாகிய யோசேப்பின் புத்திரர் குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

And by the borders of the children of Manasseh, Bethshean and her towns, Taanach and her towns, Megiddo and her towns, Dor and her towns. In these dwelt the children of Joseph the son of Israel.

ஆசேரின் குமாரர், இம்னா, இஸ்வா, இஸ்வி, பெரீயா என்பவர்கள்; இவர்கள் சகோதரி சேராள்.

The sons of Asher; Imnah, and Isuah, and Ishuai, and Beriah, and Serah their sister.

பெரீயாவின் குமாரர், ஏபேர், மல்கியேல் என்பவர்கள்; இவன் பிர்சாவீத்தின் தகப்பன்.

And the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel, who is the father of Birzavith.

ஏபேர் யப்லேத்தையும், சோமேரையும், ஒத்தாமையும், இவர்கள் சகோதரியாகிய சூகாளையும் பெற்றான்.

And Heber begat Japhlet, and Shomer, and Hotham, and Shua their sister.

யப்லேத்தின் குமாரர், பாசாக், பிம்மால், அஸ்வாத் என்பவர்கள்; இவர்களே யப்லேத்தின் குமாரர்.

And the sons of Japhlet; Pasach, and Bimhal, and Ashvath. These are the children of Japhlet.

சோமேரின் குமாரர் அகி, ரோகா, எகூபா, ஆராம் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Shamer; Ahi, and Rohgah, Jehubbah, and Aram.

அவன் சகோதரனாகிய ஏலேமின் குமாரர் சோபாக், இம்னா, சேலேஸ், ஆமால் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of his brother Helem; Zophah, and Imna, and Shelesh, and Amal.

The sons of Zophah; Suah, and Harnepher, and Shual, and Beri, and Imrah,

பேசேர், ஓத், சம்மா, சில்சா, இத்ரான், பேரா என்பவர்கள்.

Bezer, and Hod, and Shamma, and Shilshah, and Ithran, and Beera.

யெத்தேரின் குமாரர், எப்புனே, பிஸ்பா, ஆரா என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Jether; Jephunneh, and Pispah, and Ara.

உல்லாவின் குமாரர், ஆராக், அன்னியேல், ரித்சியா என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Ulla; Arah, and Haniel, and Rezia.

ஆசேரின் புத்திரராகிய இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் வம்சத்தலைவரும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட பராக்கிரமசாலிகளும், பிரபுக்களின் தலைவருமாயிருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் வம்ச அட்டவணைகளில் யுத்தத்திற்குப் போகத்தக்க சேவகரின் இலக்கம் இருபத்தாறாயிரம்பேர்.

All these were the children of Asher, heads of their father's house, choice and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes. And the number throughout the genealogy of them that were apt to the war and to battle was twenty and six thousand men.

பென்யமீன், பேலா என்னும் தன் மூத்த குமாரனையும், அஸ்பால் என்னும் இரண்டாம் குமாரனையும், அகராக் என்னும் மூன்றாம் குமாரனையும்,

Now Benjamin begat Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, and Aharah the third,

நோகா என்னும் நாலாம் குமாரனையும், ரப்பா என்னும் ஐந்தாம் குமாரனையும் பெற்றான்.

Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.

பேலாவுக்கு இருந்த குமாரர், ஆதார், கேரா, அபியூத் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Bela were, Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,

அபிசுவா, நாமான், அகோவா,

And Abishua, and Naaman, and Ahoah,

கேரா, செப்புப்பான், ஊராம் என்பவர்கள் எகூதின் குமாரர்.

And Gera, and Shephuphan, and Huram.

கேபாவின் குடிகளுக்கு மூப்பான தலைவராயிருந்து, இவர்களை மனாகாத்திற்கு அழைத்துக்கொண்டுபோனவர்கள், நாமான், அகியா, கேரா என்பவர்களே.

And these are the sons of Ehud: these are the heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Geba, and they removed them to Manahath:

And Naaman, and Ahiah, and Gera, he removed them, and begat Uzza, and Ahihud.

And he begat of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcham,

எயூசையும், சாகியாவையும், மிர்மாவையும் பெற்றான்; பிதாக்களின் தலைவரான இவர்கள் அவனுடைய குமாரர்.

And Jeuz, and Shachia, and Mirma. These were his sons, heads of the fathers.

ஊசிம் வழியாய் அவன் அபிதூபையும் எல்பாலையும் பெற்றான்.

And of Hushim he begat Abitub, and Elpaal.

எல்பாலின் குமாரர், ஏபேர், மீஷாம், சாமேத்; இவன் ஓனோவையும் லோதையும் அதின் கிராமங்களையும் உண்டாக்கினவன்.

The sons of Elpaal; Eber, and Misham, and Shamed, who built Ono, and Lod, with the towns thereof:

பெரீயாவும் சேமாவும் ஆயலோன் குடிகளுடைய பிதாக்களிலே தலைவராயிருந்தார்கள்; இவர்கள் காத்தின் குடிகளை ஓட்டிவிட்டார்கள்.

Beriah also, and Shema, who were heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who drove away the inhabitants of Gath:

அகியோ, சாஷாக், எரேமோத்,

And Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth,

செபதியா, ஆராத், ஆதேர்,

And Zebadiah, and Arad, and Ader,

மிகாயேஸ், இஸ்பா, யோகா என்பவர்கள் பெரீயாவின் குமாரர்.

And Michael, and Ispah, and Joha, the sons of Beriah;

செபதியா, மெசுல்லாம், இஸ்கி, ஏபேர்,

And Zebadiah, and Meshullam, and Hezeki, and Heber,

இஸமெராயி, இஸ்லியா, யோபாப் என்பவர்கள் எல்பாலின் குமாரர்.

Ishmerai also, and Jezliah, and Jobab, the sons of Elpaal;

யாக்கிம், சிக்ரி, சப்தி,

And Jakim, and Zichri, and Zabdi,

எலியேனாய், சில்தாய், எலியேல்,

And Elienai, and Zilthai, and Eliel,

And Adaiah, and Beraiah, and Shimrath, the sons of Shimhi;

And Iphedeiah, and Penuel, the sons of Shashak;

And Shamsherai, and Shehariah, and Athaliah,

யரெஷியா, எலியா, சிக்ரி என்பவர்கள் எரொகாமின் குமாரர்.

And Jaresiah, and Eliah, and Zichri, the sons of Jeroham.

இவர்கள் தங்கள் சந்ததிகளின் பிதாக்களிலே தலைவராயிருந்து, எருசலேமிலே குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

These were heads of the fathers, by their generations, chief men. These dwelt in Jerusalem.

கிபியோனிலே குடியிருந்தவன், கிபியோனின் மூப்பன்; அவன் பெண்ஜாதியின் பேர் மாக்காள்.

And at Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; whose wife's name was Maachah:

அவன் மூத்த குமாரன் அப்தோன் என்பவன்; மற்றவர்கள், சூர், கீஸ், பாகால், நாதாப்,

And his firstborn son Abdon, and Zur, and Kish, and Baal, and Nadab,

கேதோர், அகியோ, சேகேர் என்பவர்கள்.

And Gedor, and Ahio, and Zacher.

மிக்லோத் சிமியாவைப் பெற்றான்; இவர்களும் தங்கள் சகோதரரோடுங்கூட எருசலேமிலே தங்கள் சகோதரருக்குச் சமீபத்தில் குடியிருந்தார்கள்.

And Mikloth begat Shimeah. And these also dwelt with their brethren in Jerusalem, over against them.

நேர் கீசைப் பெற்றான்; கீஸ் சவுலைப் பெற்றான்; சவுல் யோனத்தானையும், மல்கிசூவாவையும், அபினதாபையும், எஸ்பாலையும் பெற்றான்.

And Ner begat Kish, and Kish begat Saul, and Saul begat Jonathan, and Malchishua, and Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

யோனத்தானின் குமாரன் மேரிபால்; மேரிபால் மீகாவைப் பெற்றான்.

And the son of Jonathan was Meribbaal; and Meribbaal begat Micah.

மீகாவின் குமாரர், பித்தோன், மேலேக், தரேயா, ஆகாஸ் என்பவர்கள்.

And the sons of Micah were, Pithon, and Melech, and Tarea, and Ahaz.

ஆகாஸ் யோகதாவைப் பெற்றான்; யோகதா அலமேத்தையும், அஸ்மாவேத்தையும், சிம்ரியையும் பெற்றான்; சிம்ரி மோசாவைப் பெற்றான்.

And Ahaz begat Jehoadah; and Jehoadah begat Alemeth, and Azmaveth, and Zimri; and Zimri begat Moza,

மோசா பினியாவைப் பெற்றான்; இவன் குமாரன் ரப்பா; இவன் குமாரன் எலியாசா; இவன் குமாரன் ஆத்சேல்.

And Moza begat Binea: Rapha was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son:

ஆத்சேலுக்கு ஆறு குமாரர் இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் நாமங்களாவன, அஸ்ரீக்காம், பொக்குரு, இஸ்மவேல், செகரியா, ஒபதியா, ஆனான்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் ஆத்சேலின் குமாரர்.

And Azel had six sons, whose names are these, Azrikam, Bocheru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

அவன் சகோதரனாகிய எசேக்கின் குமாரர், ஊலாம் என்னும் மூத்தகுமாரனும், ஏகூஸ் என்னும் இரண்டாம் குமாரனும், எலிபேலேத் என்னும் மூன்றாம் குமாரனுமே.

And the sons of Eshek his brother were, Ulam his firstborn, Jehush the second, and Eliphelet the third.

ஊலாமின் குமாரர் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளான வில்வீரராய் இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்களுக்கு அநேகம் புத்திரர் பெளத்திரர் இருந்தார்கள்; அவர்கள் தொகை நூற்றைம்பதுபேர்; இவர்கள் எல்லாரும் பென்யமீன் புத்திரர்.

And the sons of Ulam were mighty men of valour, archers, and had many sons, and sons' sons, an hundred and fifty. All these are of the sons of Benjamin.

1பேதுரு அத்தியாயம் 1

இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் அப்போஸ்தலனாகிய பேதுரு, பொந்து, கலாத்தியா, கப்பத்தோக்கியா, ஆசியா, பித்தினியா தேசங்களிலே சிதறியிருக்கிறவர்களில்,

Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

பிதாவாகிய தேவனுடைய முன்னறிவின்படியே, ஆவியானவரின் பரிசுத்தமாக்குதலினாலே, கீழ்ப்படிதலுக்கும் இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினுடைய இரத்தந்தெளிக்கப்படுதலுக்கும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட பரதேசிகளுக்கு எழுதுகிறதாவது: கிருபையும் சமாதானமும் உங்களுக்குப் பெருகக்கடவது.

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் பிதாவாகிய தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம் உண்டாவதாக;

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

அவர், இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுந்ததினாலே, அழியாததும் மாசற்றதும் வாடாததுமாகிய சுதந்தரத்திற்கேதுவாக, ஜீவனுள்ள நம்பிக்கை உண்டாகும்படி, தமது மிகுந்த இரக்கத்தின்படியே நம்மை மறுபடியும் ஜெநிப்பித்தார்.

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

கடைசிக்காலத்திலே வெளிப்பட ஆயத்தமாக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற இரட்சிப்புக்கு ஏதுவாக விசுவாசத்தைக் கொண்டு தேவனுடைய பலத்தினாலே காக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிற உங்களுக்கு அந்தச் சுதந்தரம் பரலோகத்தில் வைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

இதிலே நீங்கள் மிகவும் சந்தோஷப்படுகிறீர்கள்; என்றாலும், துன்பப்படவேண்டியது அவசியமானதால், இப்பொழுது கொஞ்சக்காலம் பலவிதமான சோதனைகளினாலே துக்கப்படுகிறீர்கள்.

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

அழிந்துபோகிற பொன் அக்கினியினாலே சோதிக்கப்படும்; அதைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிக விலையேறப்பெற்றதாயிருக்கிற உங்கள் விசுவாசம் சோதிக்கப்பட்டு, இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படும்போது உங்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியும் கனமும் மகிமையுமுண்டாகக் காணப்படும்.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

அவரை நீங்கள் காணாமலிருந்தும் அவரிடத்தில் அன்புகூருகிறீர்கள்; இப்பொழுது அவரைத் தரிசியாமலிருந்தும் அவரிடத்தில் விசுவாசம் வைத்து, சொல்லிமுடியாததும் மகிமையால் நிறைந்ததுமாயிருக்கிற சந்தோஷமுள்ளவர்களாய்க் களிகூர்ந்து,

Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:

உங்கள் விசுவாசத்தின் பலனாகிய ஆத்துமரட்சிப்பை அடைகிறீர்கள்.

Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

உங்களுக்கு உண்டான கிருபையைக் குறித்துத் தீர்க்கதரிசனஞ்சொன்ன தீர்க்கதரிசிகள் இந்த இரட்சிப்பைக் குறித்துக் கருத்தாய் ஆராய்ந்து பரிசோதனைபண்ணினார்கள்;

Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:

தங்களிலுள்ள கிறிஸ்துவின் ஆவியானவர் கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உண்டாகும் பாடுகளையும், அவைகளுக்குப் பின்வரும் மகிமைகளையும் முன்னறிவித்தபோது, இன்னகாலத்தைக் குறித்தாரென்பதையும், அந்தக் காலத்தின் விசேஷம் இன்னதென்பதையும் ஆராய்ந்தார்கள்.

Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

தங்கள்நிமித்தமல்ல, நமதுநிமித்தமே இவைகளைத் தெரிவித்தார்களென்று அவர்களுக்கு வெளியாக்கப்பட்டது; பரலோகத்திலிருந்து அனுப்பப்பட்ட பரிசுத்த ஆவியினாலே உங்களுக்குச் சுவிசேஷத்தைப் பிரசங்கித்தவர்களைக்கொண்டு இவைகள் இப்பொழுது உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது; இவைகளை உற்றுப்பார்க்க தேவதூதரும் ஆசையாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

ஆகையால், நீங்கள் உங்கள் மனதின் அரையைக் கட்டிக்கொண்டு, தெளிந்த புத்தியுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்து; இயேசுகிறிஸ்து வெளிப்படும்போது உங்களுக்கு அளிக்கப்படுங் கிருபையின்மேல் பூரண நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவர்களாயிருங்கள்.

Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

நீங்கள் முன்னே உங்கள் அறியாமையினாலே கொண்டிருந்த இச்சைகளின்படி இனி நடவாமல், கீழ்ப்படிகிற பிள்ளைகளாயிருந்து,

As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

உங்களை அழைத்தவர் பரிசுத்தராயிருக்கிறதுபோல, நீங்களும் உங்கள் நடக்கைகளெல்லாவற்றிலேயும் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள்.

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

நான் பரிசுத்தர், ஆகையால் நீங்களும் பரிசுத்தராயிருங்கள் என்று எழுதியிருக்கிறதே.

Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

அன்றியும், பட்சபாதமில்லாமல் அவனவனுடைய கிரியைகளின்படி நியாயந்தீர்க்கிறவரை நீங்கள் பிதாவாகத் தொழுதுகொண்டுவருகிறபடியால், இங்கே பரதேசிகளாய்ச் சஞ்சரிக்குமளவும் பயத்துடனே நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

உங்கள் முன்னோர்களால் பாரம்பரியமாய் நீங்கள் அனுசரித்துவந்த வீணான நடத்தையினின்று அழிவுள்ள வஸ்துக்களாகிய வெள்ளியினாலும் பொன்னினாலும் மீட்கப்படாமல்,

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

குற்றமில்லாத மாசற்ற ஆட்டுக்குட்டியாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் விலையேறப்பெற்ற இரத்தத்தினாலே மீட்கப்பட்டீர்களென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.

But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

அவர் உலகத்தோற்றத்திற்கு முன்னே குறிக்கப்பட்டவராயிருந்து, தமது மூலமாய் தேவன்மேல் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிற உங்களுக்காக இந்தக் கடைசிக்காலங்களில் வெளிப்பட்டார்.

Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

உங்கள் விசுவாசமும் நம்பிக்கையும் தேவன்மேலிருக்கும்படி, அவரை மரித்தோரிலிருந்து எழுப்பி, அவருக்கு மகிமையைக் கொடுத்தார்.

Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

ஆகையால் நீங்கள் மாயமற்ற சகோதர சிநேகமுள்ளவர்களாகும்படி, ஆவியினாலே சத்தியத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து, உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களைச் சுத்தமாக்கிக்கொண்டவர்களாயிருக்கிறபடியால், சுத்த இருதயத்தோடே ஒருவரிலொருவர் ஊக்கமாய் அன்புகூருங்கள்;

Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

அழிவுள்ள வித்தினாலே அல்ல, என்றென்றைக்கும் நிற்கிறதும் ஜீவனுள்ளதுமான தேவவசனமாகிய அழிவில்லாத வித்தினாலே மறுபடியும் ஜெநிப்பிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்களே.

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

மாம்சமெல்லாம் புல்லைப்போலவும், மனுஷருடைய மகிமையெல்லாம் புல்லின் பூவைப்போலவுமிருக்கிறது; புல் உலர்ந்தது, அதின் பூவும் உதிர்ந்தது.

For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

கர்த்தருடைய வசனமோ என்றென்றைக்கும் நிலைத்திருக்கும்; உங்களுக்குச் சுவிசேஷமாய் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிற வசனம் இதுவே.

But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

1பேதுரு அத்தியாயம் 2

இப்படியிருக்க, கர்த்தர் தயையுள்ளவரென்பதை நீங்கள் ருசிபார்த்ததுண்டானால்,

Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

சகல துர்க்குணத்தையும், சகலவித கபடத்தையும், வஞ்சகங்களையும், பொறாமைகளையும், சகலவித புறங்கூறுதலையும் ஒழித்துவிட்டு,

As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

நீங்கள் வளரும்படி, புதிதாய்ப் பிறந்த குழந்தைகளைப்போல, திருவசனமாகிய களங்கமில்லாத ஞானப்பாலின்மேல் வாஞ்சையாயிருங்கள்.

If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

மனுஷரால் தள்ளப்பட்டதாயினும், தேவனால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டதும் விலையேறப்பெற்றதுமாயிருக்கிற ஜீவனுள்ள கல்லாகிய அவரிடத்தில் சேர்ந்தவர்களாகிய நீங்களும்,

To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

ஜீவனுள்ள கற்களைப்போல ஆவிக்கேற்ற மாளிகையாகவும், இயேசுகிறிஸ்து மூலமாய் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமான ஆவிக்கேற்ற பலிகளைச் செலுத்தும்படிக்குப் பரிசுத்த ஆசாரியக்கூட்டமாகவும் கட்டப்பட்டுவருகிறீர்கள்.

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

அந்தப்படியே: இதோ, தெரிந்து கொள்ளப்பட்டதும் விலையேறப்பெற்றதுமாயிருக்கிற மூலைக்கல்லைச் சீயோனில் வைக்கிறேன்; அதின்மேல் விசுவாசமாயிருக்கிறவன் வெட்கப்படுவதில்லை என்று வேதத்திலே சொல்லியிருக்கிறது.

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

ஆகையால் விசுவாசிக்கிற உங்களுக்கு அது விலையேறப்பெற்றது; கீழ்ப்படியாமலிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கோ வீட்டைக் கட்டுகிறவர்களால் தள்ளப்பட்ட பிரதான மூலைக்கல்லாகிய அந்தக் கல் இடறுதற்கேதுவான கல்லும் விழுதற்கேதுவான கன்மலையுமாயிற்று;

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

அவர்கள் திருவசனத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்களாயிருந்து இடறுகிறார்கள்; அதற்கென்றே நியமிக்கப்பட்டவர்களாயும் இருக்கிறார்கள்.

And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

நீங்களோ, உங்களை அந்தகாரத்தினின்று தம்முடைய ஆச்சரியமான ஒளியினிடத்திற்கு வரவழைத்தவருடைய புண்ணியங்களை அறிவிக்கும்படிக்குத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட சந்ததியாயும், ராஜரீகமான ஆசாரியக்கூட்டமாயும், பரிசுத்த ஜாதியாயும், அவருக்குச் சொந்தமான ஜனமாயும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

முன்னே நீங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஜனங்களாயிருக்கவில்லை, இப்பொழுதோ அவருடைய ஜனங்களாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்; முன்னே நீங்கள் இரக்கம் பெறாதவர்களாயிருந்தீர்கள், இப்பொழுதோ இரக்கம் பெற்றவர்களாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

பிரியமானவர்களே, அந்நியர்களும் பரதேசிகளுமாயிருக்கிற நீங்கள் ஆத்துமாவுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் போர்செய்கிற மாம்ச இச்சைகளை விட்டு விலகி,

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

புறஜாதிகள் உங்களை அக்கிரமக்காரரென்று விரோதமாய்ப் பேசும் விஷயத்தில், அவர்கள் உங்கள் நற்கிரியைகளைக் கண்டு அவற்றினிமித்தம் சந்திப்பின் நாளிலே தேவனை மகிமைப்படுத்தும்படி நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்குள்ளே நல்நடக்கையுள்ளவர்களாய் நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள் என்று உங்களுக்குப் புத்திசொல்லுகிறேன்.

Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

நீங்கள் மனுஷருடைய கட்டளைகள் யாவற்றிருக்கும் கர்த்தர்நிமித்தம் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள்.

Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

மேலான அதிகாரமுள்ள ராஜாவுக்கானாலுஞ்சரி, தீமைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்கு ஆக்கினையும் நன்மைசெய்கிறவர்களுக்குப் புகழ்ச்சியும் உண்டாகும்படி அவனால் அனுப்பப்பட்ட அதிகாரிகளுக்கானாலுஞ்சரி, கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள்.

Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

நீங்கள் நன்மைசெய்கிறதினாலே புத்தியீன மனுஷருடைய அறியாமையை அடக்குவது தேவனுடைய சித்தமாயிருக்கிறது.

For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

சுயாதீனமுள்ளவர்களாயிருந்தும் உங்கள் சுயாதீனத்தைத் துர்க்குணத்திற்கு மூடலாகக் கொண்டிராமல், தேவனுக்கு அடிமைகளாயிருங்கள்.

As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

எல்லாரையும் கனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; சகோதரரிடத்தில் அன்புகூருங்கள்; தேவனுக்குப் பயந்திருங்கள்; ராஜாவைக் கனம்பண்ணுங்கள்.

Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

வேலைக்காரரே, அதிக பயத்துடனே உங்கள் எஜமான்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்; நல்லவர்களுக்கும், சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்களுக்கும் மாத்திரம் அல்ல, முரட்டுக்குணமுள்ளவர்களுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்.

Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

ஏனெனில், தேவன்மேல் பற்றுதலாயிருக்கிற மனச்சாட்சியினிமித்தம் ஒருவன் அநியாயமாய்ப் பாடுபட்டு உபத்திரவங்களைப் பொறுமையாய்ச் சகித்தால் அதுவே பிரீதியாயிருக்கும்.

For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

நீங்கள் குற்றஞ்செய்து அடிக்கப்படும்போது பொறுமையோடே சகித்தால், அதினால் என்ன கீர்த்தியுண்டு? நீங்கள் நன்மைசெய்து பாடுபடும்போது பொறுமையோடே சகித்தால் அதுவே தேவனுக்குமுன்பாகப் பிரீதியாயிருக்கும்.

For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

இதற்காக நீங்கள் அழைக்கப்பட்டுமிருக்கிறீர்கள்; ஏனெனில், கிறிஸ்துவும் உங்களுக்காகப் பாடுபட்டு, நீங்கள் தம்முடைய அடிச்சுவடுகளைத் தொடர்ந்து வரும்படி உங்களுக்கு மாதிரியைப் பின்வைத்துப்போனார்.

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

அவர் பாவஞ்செய்யவில்லை, அவருடைய வாயிலே வஞ்சனை காணப்படவுமில்லை;

Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

அவர் வையப்படும்போது பதில்வையாமலும், பாடுபடும்போது பயமுறுத்தாமலும், நியாயமாய்த் தீர்ப்புச்செய்கிறவருக்குத் தம்மை ஒப்புவித்தார்.

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

நாம் பாவங்களுக்குச் செத்து, நீதிக்குப் பிழைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கு, அவர் தாமே தமது சரீரத்திலே நம்முடைய பாவங்களைச் சிலுவையின்மேல் சுமந்தார்; அவருடைய தழும்புகளால் குணமானீர்கள்.

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

சிதறுண்ட ஆடுகளைப்போலிருந்தீர்கள்; இப்பொழுதோ உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களுக்கு மேய்ப்பரும் கண்காணியுமானவரிடத்தில் திருப்பப்பட்டிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
